Best Vacuum For Outdoor Carpet (2023 Update)

I started out with a Hoover vacuum over 40 years ago but got distracted by bright, shiny machines by other manufacturers. All of them had some problem – too heavy, difficult to use, didn't perform well, or whatever. Now I've come home to Hoover. I mean "home to Hoover" almost literally. You see one of my great-grandfathers who died decades before I was born worked for Hoover over 100 years ago. He gave my grandparents a Hoover when they got married. I love, love, love the Hoover vacuum which I bought a little more than a year ago. It is light, performs well on all surfaces, and is intuitive in operation. The bag disposal is a breeze – you just release it directly into a trash receptacle and that's all there is to it. I will not again make the error of using any other brand vacuum. I only hope that if I meet my great-grandpa in heaven that he will forgive me for ever having strayed!Sine Nomine

When using the cleaner tje attachments, and particularly the hose, simply fall off their perches. When I tried to discover through a user's manual, how I could prevent that, I discovered that Hoover does not directly supply a user's manual. Instead one has to go through third parties to download a manual, and that process stalls. So I never got an answer to my questions. I bought Hoover machine fifty years ago, and that's how long it lasted. I thought I could not go wrong with another Hoover vacuum cleaner. I was wrong.Dissatisfied

I purchased a WindTunnel about 10 years ago and was very happy with it. In fact, I always recommended it to friends who were looking for a good vacuum. Now I'm embarrassed that I did, because it does not work nearly as well as the old one. Now I will try to repair the on/off switch on my older WindTunnel. CONS: Gone are the "tools on board" – except for the crevice tool which now is stored in the extension tube. So you can't just grab the hose without first removing the crevice tool (and then you have no place to put the crevice too while you're using the hose). You have to bend all the way down to the floor in order to 'release' the hose. You cannot attach or switch to a longer hose because this one does not detach from the machine. The roller brush does not agitate the carpet as well as the old one. The bag compartment is smaller than the old one. The brush attachment for the hose is tiny – meaning you have to spend more time vacuuming furniture. It feels cheap – but is only 3 lbs. lighter than the older model. PROS: They finally attached the hose to the vacuum near the bottom – so if you reach with hose it does not make the vacuum fall over. The on/off switch is a push button rather than a slider (which is easier for arthritic hands). I will either repair my old one, or buy another brand. Then I will relegate the new WindTunnel one to the upstairs bedrooms.Diane

This little wonder is basically a hand held vac with a handle. But don't let the small size fool you. Performs better than my canister vac. Plus it is light weight and easy to maneuver, Plus it is easy to empty. Perfect for vacuuming under beds or other tight places. And to top it off, the price is very affordable.ubfinebirds

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from #bzzagent. The Bissell Poweredge vacuum was easy to put together out of the box. The suction power is good and I like the accessories it comes with. I was really disappointed that this vacuum does not have an LED light! For over $200.00 you would assume it would. That feature alone would not make me want to purchase this. Also I don't like the fact you have to mount the vacuum to the wall to store it. It should have the option to fold in half. This Bissell PowerEdge Cordless Vacuum is amazingly very satisfying to use! It has never fail me every time I use it. It cleans up really good, has a great suction and it also gets the edges well. It's lightweight and super easy to maneuver. We have two dogs that sheds a lot and small kids so we have an endless clutter. I had put off purchasing a cordless vacuum after using a couple big name / expensive cordless vacuums. But I read the reviews and decided to order this one. I wasn't completely sold until I used it and I was pleasantly surprised by the power, the size of the dust cup, attachments, how quiet it is, movability of the swivel head and the overall great job it did!!! OMG! I didn't think it was possible, but I've fallen in love with a vacuum. Tried cordless before and dissatisfied with suction, battery life, etc. This model came with all the attachments I could possibly use. Suction is fantastic for any vacuum, let alone a cordless. Keeps a charge long enough to vacuum whole house. Works great on all the area rugs, hardwoods and tile floors. Super easy to empty the canister too. I really loved this vacuum until the motor broke after only one year. I guess that’s what happens when you purchase a refurbished item vs a brand new one. The overall vacuum is great. The canister holds a lot before you need to empty it, and it truly lives up to being a “pet vacuum.” I have a husky and it was able to handle all of his fur. Perfect for vacuuming hardwood floors, as well as area rugs and dog beds. Definitely just purchase a brand new one instead of refurbished!Danni

I really like my Bissell rug cleaner but this CleanView Pet Slim Corded Vacuum, not so much. Don't like the way it doesn't stand up on it's own. The button to release the dirt cup is in an awkward spot. Don't like the dust cup because if you handle it the wrong way, the dirt falls out of a hole (which is where the dirt enters in the first place). The "head" is floppy. It doesn't stay up (like a Shark) where you have to push down on it. There is really no place to grab and carry it comfortably, especially for a short person (which I am). I am on the lookout for a new stick vacuum. I should have sent this one back but it's too late now.Nancy

We have dogs and cats with bare floors so hair is a big issue in our home. I purchased this vac as a replacement for cordless vacs that I am constantly having to buy. They quickly lose their suction and battery power so this time i went with a corded vac. I own a kirby, I love it for my deep down cleaning but is so cumbersome for my daily (yes daily) vac of my home. The cord is long enough that i only need to use 2 outlets to vac 4 bdrms 2 baths kitchen and 2 living areas. Plenty long enough! Love the cord length! Suction is great. The edge pulls debri (I mean dirt, dust and lottsa hair) from the edges of my baseboards and from under furniture edges. This vac has 2 settings 1-suction only, 2-suction with brush roll. I first assumed being that I have bare floors, that i can vac w/ just the suction. However when it was powered on I had lifted the vac head then switched to brush roll while it was in mid air, POOF, all sorts of hair went flying everywhere. Apparently static caused hair to stick to the "undercarriage" of the vac head. I now vac my bare floors w/ brush roll going. The vac head sits quite close to the floor so when I vac my exterior door mats and rugs some get sucked/sealed to vac head making it difficult to vac. Perhaps maybe wheel adjustment to keep this from happening. I now just broom those that i cant vac. Pitty. The tube does not extend or get shorter. Its kind of a hassle when im trying to vac in tighter spaces. Another thing that I love about this vac is the it lays completely flat completely parallel to the floor w/o the vac head lifting up like most vacs do. So the reach under furniture like beds, desks and tables goes as far as up to the dirt canister. Another issue, when i must remove the vac head to use tube only, the hook to where the cord gets wrapped around gets in the way of me wanting to reach tight places. Why cant cords get wrapped at the top portion of vac not all the way down its shaft. Canister is larger, big plus!sylvia

We ordered this particular model on Amazon via The Bissell Store (still as of 2022) after seeing the owner's commitment to helping local animal shelters. Only after contacting customer service did we find out this is actually a discontinued model with many problems.
The roller bar itself started burning after 11 uses or 3 months so we returned it to Bissell. The replacement lasted only a month before it too started to smoke & leave marks on the roller bar.
We only use this on our hardwood floors, and three large wool area rugs yet this is the worst vacuum we've ever owned.
Now returning for a second time. We have been told, that "the latest" version or Model 28311 does not have the same problems.
This has been such a disappointment, especially when you're purchasing via the Bissell store directly and there is no mention that you are purchasing an older, discontinued model.

I've been using this vacuum for a few weeks and I don't have a single complaint yet. I really love how it was designed. It is very sturdy, yet light enough to easily maneuver around the house and over any type of floor surface. The vacuum head swivels effortlessly and intuitively. I especially love the headlight feature which really helps with picking up things in small crevices and under furniture. I have a large long-haired dog and this vacuum picks up the hair without any issues! The battery is very compact; the charger takes up no more space than my single-serve coffee maker as shown in the photo. Charging only takes a few hours and delivers ample runtime for me to vacuum all three floors of my house. The dust/waste bin is easy to empty and clean. Also, the extra two nozzle heads come with a holder than conveniently & cleverly snaps onto the neck of the vacuum handle, so you always have what you need to get the job done! Overall, I LOVE this product. It is the best of both worlds between a clunky traditional corded vacuum and the compact but underperforming handheld vacuum.tfunny

Had this vacuum for roughly 18 to 24 months, has worked pretty flawlessly up until I dealt with the dreaded brush head issue I read others similarly having, after a search of google and Craftsman and finding zero real solutions, I DID NOT spend $200 on a "throw away and buy new" appliance, that simply isn't the United States I grew up in. Anyway, after a week of the head turning on only to shut down after 2 or 3 seconds, I started my disassembly quest by removing the head assembly and looking at the bottom, where I found a red tab with arrows pointing up. I then held said tab with one finger while prying the brush head out with a flat head screwdriver. I clean the brush head. We then see a red gear at the end with a tiny screw holding it, take your tiny phillips head scredriver and remove screw. Gear will be reluctant but wiggle it on out with small pliers or maybe flat screwdriver. THAT was where my problem lied as 18 months of tiny carpet fibers had gotten in there to cause enough friction to stop brush head. Remove the foreign matter and (optionally) apply just a drop of 3 in 1 onto the metal surface. Reverse to reassemble and you may have just saved some aggravation dealing with a silly warranty process or quite possibly some money. SBD Craftsman should be paying me for all the ambassador work I do for them as a DIY nobody, I tell ya hwut. Only problem I'm presently having is the weak "standing" mechanism when the vac isn't being used, it can stand on its own for an hour or so before it wants to lean either way and inevitably falls to the side. It is closet kept where I lean it up against the wall so it's not as big of a deal to me. But can be aggravating between breaks. Would definitely reccomend!! Just don't buy from Lowe's, shopping Amazon or Ace comes with ALOT more dignity in supporting an actual hardware store, Thank you.Kazi9

I've been using this stick vac every day for over a week and that's about 6 times more than I used my traditional corded vacuum. The convenience of not being limited by the length of a cord and wall outlet availability makes it a game changer for me. The motor is strong and cleans as well as my 110v corded vac, but with less noise. The ability to disable the brush makes cleaning tile/wood floors a completely different experience. The 3 power settings are perfectly located to cycle between with your thumb so that you don't suck up a floor mat when transitioning from wood/tile to rug/mat. The ability to detach the motor from the stick and use the brush head in a stubby fashion makes cleaning carpeted stairs unbelievably easier than my traditional stick vac. I have used the shorty to clean the couches and used the adapters to clean under the cushions. With the stick attached to the broom head I can reach under furniture much farther than my old stick vacuum, the LED lights also help find all your kids toys that were lost before sucking them up. The vacuum is very low profile and almost lays down flat so you don't have to move furniture around to clean. Very nice and time saving! The broom head pans from side to side while using the vacuum and I found this to be annoying when trying to go fast. I discovered a way to lock the head and am able to maneuver the vacuum more aggressively without the head flopping around. Craftsman should address that in future revisions of the vacuum, I could see someone making a kit as an "upgrade" and selling those… The wheels on the broom head are nice, but I've found them to be a little lacking when it comes to maneuverability. If the wheels were replaced with ball casters then you would have infinite movement in your X and Y axis and could slide the vacuum in any direction to reach around obstructions. I hope this is something that Craftsman would consider for future releases. The battery life is short lived with the included 2 Ah battery, but enough for me to complete about 1,500 sqf. With an additional battery or (4 Ah) you can accomplish more work. I found myself trying to race the battery to get the cleaning done, which opened my eyes to the swiveling head and rigid wheels. Cleaning is easy. Pull the container, push a button (over a garbage can) and empty the contents. The twisty knob agitator cleans fine particles from the filter (much better than banging it on the garbage can or your other hand). I wish there was a vacuum float gauge you could monitor to quickly determine the health of your filter. I've seen welding helmets with clear tubes filled with small plastic balls and graduations on the tube that let you see air flow. This would make replacing the filter more accurate than just throwing it away and buying a new one every 6 months. I really enjoy using this vacuum and find myself looking for reasons to use it. I would rather lick my floors clean than spend my hard earned money on such a useless piece of equipment again. I have previously had a Bosch and Phillips stick vac and both were great but struggled to sustain enough battery to do my whole house. I purchased the Ryobi one as I loved the changeable battery idea. It sucks hair & dog hair fine… but if you want to see anything else get cleaned up… buy a different unit. It takes great delight in picking up everything larger than 2ml and spitting it directly behind you leaving a wake of rubbish confetti. I just love looking up my hallway and seeing what looks like the ants version of a festival clean up. This is the single most useless piece of equipment I own.Jazmin

I've purchased this vacuum once and am having replaced under warranty for a third time for the same reason. The brush motor head keeps burning out, rendering it useless. Overall: The vacuum has subpar suction if the brush is in place but not spinning. Removing the brush allows for much better suction on hard surfaces (which is great when the motor is dead) The dustbin is always clogged which means reduced suction and more frequent emptying. The unit is generally heavy to lug around. The attachments are loose fitting and fall out if you look at them wrong. Runtime varies between 20-40 minutes (with brush vs without) The warranty replacement is fantastic. I can't in good conscience recommend this product to anyone.Rollie

So firstly I ordered this Ryobi stick online and the Bunnings service was exceptional. I thought I'd try a Ryobi because I have quite a few other Ryobi products and batteries. Well WOW – this thing absolutely sh….ts on my other well known cyclonic stick vacuum that cost me over $1000 and now needs a new main body after its done barely any work in the 3 years I've had it. The Ryobi has strong suction, literally picks up everything, it is comfortable to to hold, really easy to manoeuvre as it has a better slightly smaller sized head. I used a 2.5amp battery because it was lighter and I still vacuumed for ages. I wouldn't say its overly noisy, that motor is working hard to lift floor debris. As this product develops, the method for emptying of the dirt barrel could be addressed but this unit is magic and Ive recommended this to all my friends – big thumb up.Heidi

This in theory is a good product, good suction, HEPA, small so fits well in my tiny house. But the filter is paper and you can't buy the replacement yet. I have a mold allergy, so getting a dirty paper filter wet to clean it repeatedly is not a good idea (when I called technical assistance this is what they told me to do in lieu of buying a replacement filter). After clearning, it only worked for just a few days, then clogged again. So it sits in my house and I sweep instead. Also the collector is super-tiny, though I could live with that. I've had this on my wishlist for some time. The appeal is a small, sleek, yet powerful vacuum that i could easily pick up without fuss. The design, access to small spaces & power made it stand out from the other ugly/clunky choices in the market. Yes, the dustbin is small, but consider that this is designed for small & quick pickups. The power you will get is a worthwhile trade off. I love that the nozzle is narrow & there are only 2 accessories! I have too many accessories for each kind of vacuum I own. Excellent vacuum. Works terrific. I use it every single day. You must keep the vacuum clean between each use. I mean keep the filters spotless and the bin and metal filter unclogged. If you dont take care of the vacuum, it wont work worth a darn. But this vacuum has been such a great little tool for picking up dust bunnies, cat food crumbs, and pet hair. The bin can be hard to empty and you will find yourself using your hand to pull out the debris which is pretty gross, and a caveat of the device. The bin is also quite small and you will notice it fills quickly. THERE IS NOWHERE TO BUY NEW FILTER REPLACEMENTS. You sell all the other replacements BUT the OnePwr for some reason. If your looking for an infallible vacuum that has no bells or whistles, this is the one. Simple, powerful, gets the job done. I live with two kids a Lab, on a farm and it picks up everything. I thought the old vacuum cleaner was doing a good job, but the first use of the Dyson proved me wrong! It pulled up more stuff than I thought possible. I have heard about the Dyson ball for years, but had no idea that it really would make maneuvering easier. Since we have mostly hard surface travertine floors with several large area rugs, I like that there is an easily accessible switch to turn the beater bar off for vacuuming off the rugs without worrying about scratching the stone floor. The Dyson was delivered quickly, it was well packed and arrived in perfect condition all at a Sam's Club price. The only regret I have is that I waited so long to switch to the Dyson.KenLV

I have a total of 4 Dyson vacuums. Unfortunately I purchased 2 of these before I found out how inferior they are compared to the old ones that I have. I really do not like these ball units. If you try to wheel the unit to where you want to start vacuuming, the lock disengages and the head drops to the floor making it hard to get to your location. It is not just a defective one as both of my units do this. VERY frustrating. Then, when done vacuuming, it is really hard to lock back into the upright position. I feel I wasted my money on these 2. The Craftsman V20 cordless handheld vacuum packs a punch for a handheld vac it’s pretty powerful and this sucker is heavy thanks to the V20 4.0 AH lithium battery (although the battery does not come with the box it’s sold separately) Compared to other handheld vac‘s this is definitely more powerful and works much better and of course convenience great for the car workshop stairsteps things of that nature you don’t want to lug around a vacuum or a shop vac. It had a great suction with a crevice tool although it didn’t come with any other attachments it really doesn’t need them. I was surprised it wasn’t obnoxiously loud and the canister was a decent size to hold in between emptying. This Cordless Handheld Vacuum may look small but do not underestimate it because you will be very wrong. The battery is superb after charging. It lasts for hours and is very reliable. Easy to just pop in the base to recharge when needed for your next project. The vacuum is easy to empty when it gets full and to clean it out if it is messy. I find it an all around good, lightweight handheld vacuum for small to medium home projects and especially if you have small children. Works great as a dry vacuum as expected. A pipe broke in my 5th wheel and filled the floor ductwork full of water. This vacuum sucked it dry without a problem. 30 gallon spill required emptying only 3 times. Perfect. Leaves and flowers dropped all over my porch, I almost bought a leaf blower, then I remembered the Craftsman. Switched the hose to exhaust, and instant 6hp leaf blower that cleared a large area fast. Purchased as a housewarming present for my son in law, I settled on a Craftsman shop vac for its well known reputation for quality. After much deliberation, I chose the model for it's HP, mobility, drum size. We put it too good use when just one week later, their basement flooded. As a wet vac , it had great suction & ease. Really like all the attachments, helps get the job done. Needed a soft brush that was safe for my hardwood floors Greenworks covered that. Love the LED lights make it easier to see the missed spots. Super happy with performance & ease of operation, no cord to drag around. I have carpet and a dog, and the suction is great! Battery life is impeccable I can do the whole house on a single charge or more. I also like how dumping the waste bin scrapes along the filter so you can truly get it all emptied out. The promise is great, but the delivery of that promise is marginal. I have now purchased multiple Greenworks tools – trimmer, blower, lawn mower, drill and driver – and based on that experience, expected greatness from this cordless stick vacuum. I did not get greatness, just a shade above mediocrity. The battery life is much less than desired. I bought it in the hopes of a 45 minute use per charge, as advertised, but getting anywhere near that means you must run it on its minimal power. More important, though, the service at Greenworks absolutely STINKS! I have tried 5 times to call them (they don't provide an email option) and have been on hold 45+ minutes each time, and finally gave up. If most of the products weren't so good on their own, I suspect this company would have long ago gone out of business. In summary – try their tools if you want to go it alone. I am delighted with my cordless Animal V8 Vac it is just what I was looking for, light and easy to use, and no cord to trip over, with a powerful suction, and always ready to go. At 80 + I was finding my old friend, A Slim all-floors upright vac over ten years old and still going strong rather too much for me, I was thinking of having someone in to clean for me. Now I have no need to, and my new Animal V8 will soon pay for itself. My daughter is very pleased to adopt my old Slim All-Floors vac as it had many more years of service to give. My old Dyson DC16 recently died and I was frantic to find a similar replacement. I was just looking for a cordless handheld to quickly vacuum up small areas or spot clean. I saw this V8 cordless Motorhead looked almost identical to my deceased Dyson and an extra perk was that it had a detachable wand so I wouldn't have to bend down/stretch for those hard to reach places. It was $100 off so I ordered it. Straight out of the box, it was heavy. My arm was instantly tired after trying to use it above my head. Multiple issues: The air powerful air coming out of the exhaust vents blows debris everywhere. My small contained mess was now scattered everywhere! The direct driver power head has a plastic guide on the front. This makes it impossible to suck up anything that is larger than that clearance space. I have a parrot that drops sunflower seed shells and Cheerio cereal on the floor and this Dyson just pushes them in front of the vacuum. No room for them to be picked up because of that guide. Strike 3 for me was emptying the dust container. You have to pull hard upward to lift the head off the vacuum which then triggers the dust container bottom to swing open. This did not work easily or smoothly at all. Basically, I had to use two hands to both pry the top part up while pulling the bottom flap down to empty. I love my new Vacmaster Beast! It has great suction and is lightweight and easy for me to handle. When I tried it for the first time earlier today I was just going to do the rug on my front step. Well, it was so great I just kept on going! I did my front step, my garage floor, my car trunk so far. I can't wait to have time to do my patio area, the back door rug, entry-way and everything else I see that needs vacuuming in-between. I love it and my house/garage is benefiting greatly! I just bought this when my old shop vac (starts with a C) motor bearing burned out (it started to scream and smell). It has great vacuum and moves a lot of air for a shop vac. I will use this under my drill press, but also use it with my router table and wood shaper to keep sawdust down. I like that it comes with a 10 foot power cord, so extension cord is not needed any more and I can move it about without unplugging it. I also like it has a 2" hose instead of the 1.25" hose (most of the Bauer shop vacs have the bigger hose) and was a requirement for the aforementioned tools. Pretty good for the discounted price of $100. Assembly was very simple- 4 screws, one per wheel. Most of the accessories are in the tank. I hope this has better reliability than my C shop-vac. (I no longer buy "C" products because of poor bearings) Note that the tank is 14 gallons, but actual debris capacity is probably half that after the filter is inserted, but that is true for all shop vacs.Delaware Dave

We now have a dog which means both mine and my wife's car require deep cleaning. I had been using an old household vacuum cleaner that I had stationed in the garage but it became clearer to me that I couldn't pick-up all the dried food bits and dog hair with that vacuum cleaner. The Bauer Wet/Dry Vac is probably twice as powerful as my old home vacuum cleaner! It cleans out our cars so much better! I also plan to use it to clean out the ash from my Traeger smoker and suck-out the leaves that have been collecting inside my home A/C condenser. I only wish Bauer also provided a smaller crevice tool that can more easily access under and next to my car seats.Don E

I used mine on a daily basis. You can not beat it for the money. I use mine for hot tub drain and cleans. This vacuum is large enough to hold all the water my drain pump can’t get and strong enough to pull the water out the plumbing, even on the larger hot tubs with 60+ jets. I also run mine with out any of the filters and am constantly using it to drain water with extremely high bromine (chlorine) and both acidic and super hard water. I beat mine up and I still get 200+ drain and cleans out of it before the motor starts to weaken. I’m sure if I was nicer to them I could get it to last much longer. The fact that it lasts as long as it does with the way I abuse it says a lot about how well it’s built. I’ll be back for another when I blow this one up.Hot Tub Service Pros

The vacuum unit itself is fine, but this is a budget unit. It’s nice to have a cheap option, to get the job done, but this definitely feels cheap. On one hand, the light weight of the base is nice, easy to move around with it. The metal extendible part of the vacuum clicks nicely when you extend it, but the place where the hose and the metal part connect lack any kind of lock button. It disconnects easily if you’re not careful. The is a weird flaw, because the metal part itself has a very nice locking button for extension. The floor attachment has poor range of motion, but works well on hard floors.Ann

I love the Bissell Zing. For the money it works very well. My only complaints are that it is all plastic. While it makes the vacuum light, its durability is questionable. Also the hose has no way of staying on to the floor tool. You push it on and hope for the best. I can see this being a problem in time and also a frustration. One other thing, the electric cord is very short. For the cost in todays world it is very good but you barley get what you pay for these days! My expectations aren't very high! I wish there was a company that would take pride in the fact that they give the consumer a well made product, at a fair cost, that would last longer then a year. I know, by doing this you wouldn't make huge profits but you would still make healthy profits and loyal customers! It would also help the environment with keeping waste at a minimum! I bought this to clean up kitty litter my cat tracks everywhere. I had been using a Dirt Devil (similar small vacuum) but as not pleased with its performance. So far, I prefer this one. But be real – this is a "toy" vacuum, meant only for light sweep ups. This one was easy to put together, its light weight, and works fine with small messes.anniedancer50

This little guy is super awesome and makes clean up super fast and easy, just what I was looking for as with having osteoarthritis I can't always sweep my wood floors, this even vacuums small rugs in the bathroom that are thick and shaggy. I am super happy. Only issue is the head rolls around while using I guess to get every direction but it's easy to maneuver.ramgar17

Not a carpet vac but it does clean bare floors and scatter rugs. Doesn't suck the rugs up like a really powerful vac does. No brush roll but nothing for long hair to get tangled in, either. More powerful than a cordless vac and the cord is long enough.margaretw465

For the price it works amazing. I did buy a clear extractor head off of Amazon to use with it and it did really well on our carpet with stains that had been there forever and compared to our bissell that kept the floor wet for hours and hours, this was completely dry within 1-2 hours. I was a little sad that the first thing I did when I went to take out the dry filter to put the wet filter on, I turned it too hard and broke the little tab so now if I’m not careful the bottom that holds the filter on will vibrate off. My own fault though. Considering putting some rust proof bed liner spray paint inside so it doesn’t rust since i plan on only using it for wet vacuuming. All in all, can’t complain. These stains had been here for years under a throw carpet and worked on with the bissell numerous times and with this all it took was a tide mix spray, a little agitation, and then some water.Tangie

I bought this for my construction business to try it out because I heard that hart is the same people that make the higher end tools. I can say it does really good. It will shock the heck out of you sometimes if you ain't careful or the grounding chain isn't touching the floor lol. Only when I do drywall. Speaking of drywall I connected it to my Wen drywall sander and it does perfect. Other then the fact this thing will not connect to any tool I have to always make a coupling with painters tape. Other then that it's impressive. Buddy's pick at me for it being a Hart but don't knock a tool till you try it. Alot of times sometimes you have to buy what you can at the time till your up to get the good stuff. Good product I'd say it's up there with the big boys in power.B Flatt

I bought this vac online one night when it was listed at a price you really CANT beat for a 10 gal 6.0 peak vac with attachments and filters . i really hadnt had too much experience with the brand i wont lie when it comes to tools or anything that goes in my garage i plan to work with I will typically just spend the difference and go with my fav. brands like dewalt, makita , Milwaukee…etc. I do alot of different jobs and also hobbies so i tend to be a little hard on tools but for the money i expect the same…as would most people. So seeing the price, the size, the attachments i thought you know what why not? figured if anything i could just take it back. when i got opened up the box everything looked good the plasitic did feel a little thin but my expectations werent very high from the start. the hose did feel pretty durable and the attatchments were decent. the wheels did worry me they seemed a little weak and they were but still usuable. when i turned it on i was actually suprised i thought it was going to be annoyingly loud but it wasnt too bad. especially cause i live in a apt! and it was going to be used in car port mostly on my car. the suction on it was very impressive and i was most impressed when it had sucked up my socket wrench on accident lol. the attatchments all were incredible i washed my seats the carpet basically all the interior and it sucked up literally id say 90 % of the water ! the rest dried ina few hours when i left the doors open and air out. overall despite the wheels the vac has made some jobs much easier. im definitely please and my expectations were exceeded! so mu h so that iv actually been looking at other products this company puts out. im anxious to see if the other tools are just as good!patty

My house can be pretty hectic- we have 4 (soon to be 5) young kiddos, 3 puppies, and 4 cats. Cleaning is something that happens all day long, pretty much constantly. One of the biggest pain points is keeping the floors clean because try as we might, if our youngest isn't trying to eat something off the floor, the puppies will. Enter the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum. This thing has legitimately been life changing. If you have pets, I'm sure you have fought with vacuuming, or sweeping, up their hair. As soon as you get close to it, the hair blows away. Not with this vacuum. I don't know what kind of magical technology they put in this thing but it actually attracts and vacuums up the hair, it doesn't blow it away. Additionally, something both amazing and quite terrifying, the light on the front of the vacuum makes hair and any sort of floor debris stand out like it's a beacon. It makes it super easy to ensure that all the hair and debris is cleaned up because you can't help but notice it with the light. It's terrifying because it shows just how much hair is truly shed, which is way more than you initially imagine. I should note that my floor is probably 75% hardwood, 15% vinyl planks, and 10% carpet. The way this thing changes the height of the brush automatically is phenomenal. I can move from room to room with such ease. I have another pretty high end vacuum ($500) and this one beats it every single time. I can vacuum an area with my other vacuum and then go through with this one and the amount of stuff it picks up is phenomenal. The one and only downside to this vacuum is that it does not flatten/recline back very far so cleaning under tables and chairs can be a challenge. You can use the extension and the attachments to reach these areas, but it would be way more convenient if you could just do it with the vacuum. I received the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel program. Bissell has always been a favorite brand for floor care but this tops them all! The Bissell Surface Sense Upright vacuum is intuituve, by sensing between hard floors & carpet. Making it a breeze to vacuum all your floors, & even gets the debris along edges well too. Or this function can be switched off to run the brush continuously. It almost drives itself & takes little effort to push around the house even on the thickest of carpets.The handle can be removed to expose the wand for the versatile, convenient, & very useful attachments. My favorite is the uniquely shaped crevice tool that also has a led light that helps you see those hidden places, & get them clean. But I absolutely love the tangle free brush roll. Despite having a long hair dog, 3 adults with hair to their waist, & 5 young kids, I never had to pull hair from the brush, & only had to empty the canister, as I despise cleaning hair. The canister is big enough to vacuum multiple rooms, & is simple to remove to dump without leaving a mess behind. When removed, you can also access 2 different filters, one on top of the canister, on underneath which makes for an ultimate clean. It also has suction control on the handle which makes it convenient to switch to the best settings for different areas. Overall, it is very accessible, & versatile making an upgrade on performance, & design that makes this Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum, the best Bissell yet!Carollucy303
