I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy
I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. This vacuum is horrible. I thought I would like it after reading the reviews but it is extremely heavy. It doesn't maneuver.. When you try to go underneath a chair because of the weight of the tof the top of the vacuum the bottom part does not remain flat as it will not touch the carpet. The hose is not it's not great either. Very stiff. I wish I was able to return it but it was purchased during covid and target wouldn't let you return home goods.Dee9435
We have had many brands of vacuums before. None were as well designed and solid as the Prolux 9000. It is quiet yet has great suction. We have oriental carpets. After one vacuuming with our Prolux we could visibly see how much cleaner they were. Attachments are wonderful and store securely in the vacuum. First let me start by saying I had never even heard of Prolux before. Doing online research though in search of a new reliable vacuum that is upright and has a bag, my husband actually found your company. I love the vacuum! Unlike other uprights I have owned, it came completely assemble except for the handle, which was a breeze to attach. I will admit I was concerned for the weight of the machine, but I swear this vacuum is self-propelled, or at least it seems like it is. Very easy to push on thick carpet and I love that all I have to do is press a button with my foot to change to hardwood flooring in my kitchen. I love that all the attachments are conveniently stored on-board. Very easy to change from upright to using the attachments. The only thing I'm not sure about is the lever on the back of the nozzle to adjust the suction power. Not really crazy about it but it's definitely not a deal breaker for me. Terrible vacuum. I don’t have any kids or pets at home, so a vacuum should last me a long time. This is the THIRD Dirt Devil vacuum I’ve had in two years. The belt doesn’t stay on. If you lift it the wrong way, or accidentally bump it on the wall or stairs, it pops off. Sometimes 3 or 4 times in one session. AND… every single time you have to remove 6 screws to put it back on. This vacuum has made me so angry that I’ve made up new cuss words. There’s only so many, and the frustration this causes me requires many more! The opening where the dust canister meets the hose gets clogged (I don’t have pets) so just regular dust is too much for it! Then, it just stops sucking. Well, it definitely sucks, but not the junk on my carpet/hardwood floors. I will never buy another Dirt Devil vacuum again. They shouldn’t fall apart, or stop working properly so quickly. This should have lasted YEARS. It lasted months, and when you only need to vacuum only a couple times a week, and that’s too much to ask of it, it’s garbage. This vacuum is okay for the meantime since my other vacuum died. We’ll be moving soon so it will definitely get replaced. I’m a mom of 4 kids (not including a man child and two big dogs). The only time I can really clean is once all the kiddos are in bed. This vacuum is super loud. Luckily, my babies sleep with white noise so they can’t hear it but I’m sure everyone else can including the neighbors. It’s so loud that I thought something was wrong with it the first time I turned it on lol. On the second use, it already got clogged so I don’t have very many high hopes for this vacuum. After a lot of research and reading reviews of many different vacuums models and brands, I've decided to go for a Bissell after owning a PowerForce Helix model for many years and never having any problem with it. I just wanted a second vacuum and to go for an upgrade, so I chose the PowerGlide lift-off because of the many features it has and I'm so glad I did. I have a cat and the vacuum does a great job picking up hair from the carpet and the pet tools work wonders on furniture. It has powerful suction, works great on my medium pile carpet, low pile rugs and hard floor. I like that I'm able to switch off the brush roll while vacuuming hard floors, the lift-off is a great feature and tools included are very useful making it easier to vacuum stairs, dusting window shades, trims and furniture, with this vacuum I'm able to make a deep clean in every area of my house easily and fast! The reason of 4 stars is that it's a little on the heavy side, I got used to it after few uses, but I don't think it would be comfortable for an elder person, the hand handle bar is attached to the vacuum with only one screw, considering the weight of the vacuum and that the handle is constantly moving I feel this part could get damaged easily. Also the area to roll the power cord for storage is a little small and gives me some hard time, I didn't expect that problem because on my older Bissell it is very easy and I never felt like storing the cord was a problem. Overall it's a good and very convenient vacuum, I'd recommend it. #sweepstakes
I really like this vacuum. We have had many. We have three dogs nine cats so hair removal is a daily chore. I like the pet attachment it worked great , the vacuum really picks up, it side and front suction is visible when it pulls hair balls toward the vacuum. It's amazing. My last vacuum was the the shark rotator with the front soft roller. Hated that one. The roller alway became jammed with hair. Also if there was a wet spot I didn't see and rolled over then I would have to stop and wash it then dry it so to not smear whatever it was all over the house. The only thing I might complain about is the swivel , it's a little short. Compared to the shark. I also love that the attachments are right on the handle.
This is my 3rd Bissell lift off. Have always been a huge fan.It pains me to write this, but I am hoping it will help with future designs so this doesn't have to be my last one. I waited six months to post this to give it a fair chance, and get used to it. Very poor construction. Was already scratched when it arrived. If you stretch the hose when using with an attachment it comes out of the socket. The extension wand is not the quality as those of previous lift-offs. Perhaps the goal was to save weight.(Pro tip – the old ones will fit this machine – not perfect, but usable) It is difficult to secure the attachments in the onboard holders. I recommend not using the holders. The turbo brush frequently falls off and I should have take my own advice because today it dropped and broke beyond repair. The canister detaches okay to empty, but the design of the previous ones (just slide a lever) was superior and much easier to clean. There is a loud, shrill squeal when you turn off, which, sadly, my bird has learned to imitate!I am so, so sad and disappointed about this product and hope there will be future improvements.

With our dog and our new baby all over the floor, we were getting much more worried about fur everywhere. I have a very good vacuum and hand vac already, but the vacuum is heavy and cumbersome and my back is not built for vacuuming the floor with a hand vac. This vacuum was a perfect addition to our home because it is light weight and portable, like the love child of the two vacuums we already had. It is also quiet, so I can vacuum the baby's arena everyday while she naps without waking her up. I feel silly since this in addition to so many other vacuums, but I didn't have the energy to pull out the big one on a daily basis, especially trying to get under furniture and plugging it into different outlets to reach the whole house. My Bissell is not as powerful, but I use it daily so the fur doesn't accumulate and it is better for our lifestyle. And since it has the hand vac attachment, I could have bought just this one instead of my previous two. Oops! Highly recommend, would buy again in a heartbeat. I greeted the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum with curious skepticism. Having used several vacuums in the past I knew the benefits and drawbacks of corded and cordless vacuums. I tried a Eureka cordless vacuum in the past and the battery took over 12 hours to charge for just 15-20 minutes of vacuuming power, with the suction power being extremely light. I also had a cordless vacuum by Puweike which constantly fell down because I didn't mount the stand against the wall as I had mostly dry wall in my place. I prefer cordless vacuums because even though the corded vacuums owned by Hoover and Oreck offer more power, they are a pain to move from room to room due to having to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cord. The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum addressed all of these concerns and offered some unexpected surprises. This vacuum took less than one minute to assemble with only two parts to put together. I only had to charge the battery for four hours until it was ready to use. Upon charging it, I noticed the vacuum stands upright, so there is no need to add any mounted stand to the wall as it can be stored anywhere. I also love that I could turn on the brush roll on carpet and off on the hardwood to prevent scratching. The suction is extremely powerful to pick up even the smallest crumbs and I couldn't believe how easy it is to maneuver with the handle folding to get under the sofa. There is a huge bonus to this vacuum as well with the detachable middle which becomes a handheld vacuum for sofas and chairs. Another bonus is the brush and crevice tool for corners and upholstery. The dirt bin is so easy to empty and put back in the vacuum as well. I would recommend the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum to all my friends and family. This lightweight cordless vacuum is exactly what I needed. I have a good sized 1 bedroom apartment that I share with a cat. A few rooms have area rugs and the rest is all vinyl flooring. I am constantly fighting a battle against cat hair, litter particles, and dust. And losing, until now. This is a dream on my vinyl floors and low pile rugs. I have a large thick pile rug in the living room that this does not work so well on. The suction makes it hard to use when going against the grain of the rug so I use it everywhere else and get the old vac out for that one spot. It’s what I intended to do anyway so I didn’t take off a star. I think it’s swivel makes maneuverability fantastic. The battery works great, assembly was quick and super easy, it’s small and sits upright in a corner charging. It came with three handy attachments for with using the hand vac. Bought this off the Bissell site thinking it was the best canister and that the design would nail what customers who actually vacuum need. This machine came promptly and is light weight, but has a smaller head and bagless chamber than the one I was replacing. Assembly was easy, yet directions were scant. After using it twice I realized the main handle and tube does not stand by itself, so if you need to move something in the course of vacuuming and take your hand off the main handle, rod and tube all come crashing down to the floor or hit something on the way down. You cannot store this machine with the handle standing, but must use a shabby slot on the back. Also the handle itself does not have an on/off button. Rather the user must push a button on the main part of the machine and not let go of the handle, as it will fall and hit whatever is in its path. Also, I have found that it's pretty difficult to open the bottom of the dustless container. So far, I've have to almost pry it open. These features are essential for the user/customer, but ignored in the design of this vacuum-Why?Bob in NM
I do not usually post reviews, but I am so angry that I decided that I must. This vac was purchased new from Canadian Tire one year ago and Bissell no longer can supply the foam and felt filters for the tank lid as I have been told that this vac has been discontinued. I have a house with wall to wall carpeting. This vac must be completely taken apart each time it is used and thoroughly washed. When the filters that came with this vac are no longer able to be used I will have to buy a new vac and it will not be a Bissell for sure. I think that a company as large as Bissell should continue to carry replacement filters and parts for their products for many years in the future. Just because you discontinue a product does not mean stores are not still selling it. You cannot expect to keep customers if you do not support your products.Gail
I have a golden retriever and bought this to replace my broken Kenmore canister vacuum. On hardwood it works ok but the area rug and front and carpets it's not good. You cannot adjust the beater brush height and on anything but a low pile it's not very good. I leave it on full power but that makes little difference. Takes 3 times as long as my old vacuum as you have to go over the area 5 or more times to pick up the dog hair stuck in the carpet and rug. The only reason I'm even keeping it is because emptying the canister is better then the bags I used to have to throw out. I am happy with its use on the hardwood and tile but very disappointed with it on carpet. I'd expect more for the price.Retriever owner

I've been using this vacuum for a few weeks and I don't have a single complaint yet. I really love how it was designed. It is very sturdy, yet light enough to easily maneuver around the house and over any type of floor surface. The vacuum head swivels effortlessly and intuitively. I especially love the headlight feature which really helps with picking up things in small crevices and under furniture. I have a large long-haired dog and this vacuum picks up the hair without any issues! The battery is very compact; the charger takes up no more space than my single-serve coffee maker as shown in the photo. Charging only takes a few hours and delivers ample runtime for me to vacuum all three floors of my house. The dust/waste bin is easy to empty and clean. Also, the extra two nozzle heads come with a holder than conveniently & cleverly snaps onto the neck of the vacuum handle, so you always have what you need to get the job done! Had this vacuum for roughly 18 to 24 months, has worked pretty flawlessly up until I dealt with the dreaded brush head issue I read others similarly having, after a search of google and Craftsman and finding zero real solutions, I DID NOT spend $200 on a "throw away and buy new" appliance, that simply isn't the United States I grew up in. Anyway, after a week of the head turning on only to shut down after 2 or 3 seconds, I started my disassembly quest by removing the head assembly and looking at the bottom, where I found a red tab with arrows pointing up. I then held said tab with one finger while prying the brush head out with a flat head screwdriver. I clean the brush head. We then see a red gear at the end with a tiny screw holding it, take your tiny phillips head scredriver and remove screw. Gear will be reluctant but wiggle it on out with small pliers or maybe flat screwdriver. THAT was where my problem lied as 18 months of tiny carpet fibers had gotten in there to cause enough friction to stop brush head. Remove the foreign matter and (optionally) apply just a drop of 3 in 1 onto the metal surface. Reverse to reassemble and you may have just saved some aggravation dealing with a silly warranty process or quite possibly some money. SBD Craftsman should be paying me for all the ambassador work I do for them as a DIY nobody, I tell ya hwut. Only problem I'm presently having is the weak "standing" mechanism when the vac isn't being used, it can stand on its own for an hour or so before it wants to lean either way and inevitably falls to the side. It is closet kept where I lean it up against the wall so it's not as big of a deal to me. But can be aggravating between breaks. Would definitely reccomend!! Just don't buy from Lowe's, shopping Amazon or Ace comes with ALOT more dignity in supporting an actual hardware store, Thank you.Kazi9
I've been using this stick vac every day for over a week and that's about 6 times more than I used my traditional corded vacuum. The convenience of not being limited by the length of a cord and wall outlet availability makes it a game changer for me. The motor is strong and cleans as well as my 110v corded vac, but with less noise. The ability to disable the brush makes cleaning tile/wood floors a completely different experience. The 3 power settings are perfectly located to cycle between with your thumb so that you don't suck up a floor mat when transitioning from wood/tile to rug/mat. The ability to detach the motor from the stick and use the brush head in a stubby fashion makes cleaning carpeted stairs unbelievably easier than my traditional stick vac. I have used the shorty to clean the couches and used the adapters to clean under the cushions. With the stick attached to the broom head I can reach under furniture much farther than my old stick vacuum, the LED lights also help find all your kids toys that were lost before sucking them up. The vacuum is very low profile and almost lays down flat so you don't have to move furniture around to clean. Very nice and time saving! The broom head pans from side to side while using the vacuum and I found this to be annoying when trying to go fast. I discovered a way to lock the head and am able to maneuver the vacuum more aggressively without the head flopping around. Craftsman should address that in future revisions of the vacuum, I could see someone making a kit as an "upgrade" and selling those… The wheels on the broom head are nice, but I've found them to be a little lacking when it comes to maneuverability. If the wheels were replaced with ball casters then you would have infinite movement in your X and Y axis and could slide the vacuum in any direction to reach around obstructions. I hope this is something that Craftsman would consider for future releases. The battery life is short lived with the included 2 Ah battery, but enough for me to complete about 1,500 sqf. With an additional battery or (4 Ah) you can accomplish more work. I found myself trying to race the battery to get the cleaning done, which opened my eyes to the swiveling head and rigid wheels. Cleaning is easy. Pull the container, push a button (over a garbage can) and empty the contents. The twisty knob agitator cleans fine particles from the filter (much better than banging it on the garbage can or your other hand). I wish there was a vacuum float gauge you could monitor to quickly determine the health of your filter. I've seen welding helmets with clear tubes filled with small plastic balls and graduations on the tube that let you see air flow. This would make replacing the filter more accurate than just throwing it away and buying a new one every 6 months. I really enjoy using this vacuum and find myself looking for reasons to use it. Like most folks these days I did some research before making this purchase. To be honest, there are so many robo vacuums both name brand named and unbrandes. This model is unique in that it both mops amd vacuums. Few actully do both. The price, comparitively speaking, is great compared to those that do leas amd cost twice as much. I am impressed with the job it does. Far above what i was hoping for. The mopping is amazing as well. The battery even lasts almost twice as long as advertised. I loved how this valcume picked up. Wasn't impressed with the mop option. But I ended up returning it because the charger/ charging port started not working all the time. The return process has been horrible. First I had to wait for them to email me back, then was offered a discount if I used warranty and now its going to be 10 to 13 days to get my refund. If Wal-Mart is going to sale items on their page please back the product by allowing returns directly through you.laura

I have always wanted to own a cordless vacuum and now this Black and Decker Power Series Extreme cordless stick vacuum is making my life so easy. I like the fact that it’s lightweight and easy to handle. I can easily carry it around my house with least effort. Being cordless I no more have to struggle with wires. The dustbin is removable and can easily be emptied. The handle can be detached from the brush of you just need to use the stick to clean the corners or crevices. The anti tangle brush bar is something I am happy about. The vacuum is powerful and sucks dust and dirt very well. Great for both hardwood floors and also carpet. The LED light is the best feature especially when the places are poorly lit the LED light helps in cleaning up the spots and makes my house more clean. The battery holds good for about one hour. And I own several black and decker lawn tools so I mix and match my batteries and that’s really a plus point. Definitely is much less noisy compared to other vacuums. The accessories given with this vacuum are very good and love the fact that I can hang it in my tools closet after using it. This cordless stick vacuum is great for cleaning stairs. It’s easy to twist and turn the agitator to empty the dust and dirt. I can easily charge the batteries too. All the functions are exceptional and I am so impressed with this!Kiomina
I've had a lot of bad luck with cordless vacuums in my life. They generally lack enough power to accomplish anything you'd want them to. The POWERSERIES Extreme Cordless Stick Vacuum, however, has not left me feeling disappointed! I have a mixture of hard floor, low pile carpet, and medium pile carpet throughout my house. The high pile carpet does not benefit much from this cordless vacuum, but for spot cleaning the short pile carpet, this thing can do the trick if I put it on "MAX" speed (although it's a bit loud at that level). But where this thing really shines for me is on hard floor. Even on the lowest speed, it hasn't had any problems picking debris up off my hard flooring. The biggest highlight was when I discovered that it fits beneath my couch!! The couch only has a 3-inch clearance, so it becomes a black hole that gathers all kinds of junk: leaves, dust, dog hair, dropped food, etc… To clean under there, I've always had to lift up the couch and move it out of the way. But this cordless vacuum allows me to clean underneath it completely, without moving the couch at all!! Talk about a win! It also has some handy features, which I'll list off below. I am absolutely in love with this vacuum from its impeccable features and cleaning. From unboxing to setting up was a breeze, had it running in all of 5 minutes. It feels like a heavier vacuum (but that to me feels like quality) it doesn't make it hard to push or maneuver, it has an adjustable suction control right by the handle if you feel it's hard to push you can adjust that. The swiveling vacuum head is amazing and comes in so very handy. It has a very large dirt cup, I can vacuum 4 rooms before needing to empty, maybe more I haven't tried that yet. Emptying the dirt cup is so easy just hold it over the trash can and tap the release button and va-la that's a wrap. Both filters are so easy to clean too the pre motor filter you just take the sponge part off rinse out with water let it dry for 24 hours and put it back on and it's that easy. The exhaust filter you just remove and tap it on the in side of your trash can until you see no more dust and that's a wrap, both very simple to clean. I love the push button start button right at your hands, very convenient and the push button brush roll, so you can turn the roller brush off if you want to sweep a bare or hard wood floor, or a floor with say little scatter, it makes it such a breeze. I absolutely love that the attachments go on the handle, there's a handle release and they just pop on there and you can get up high with such a breeze, and down low. You get a crevice tool a dusting brush and a pet upholstery tool, all you'll ever need, & they all attach on board this vacuum and stay without moving around or falling off. So I have attached three photos and had 2 videos I wanted to add but I guess it doesn't work the way I thought with the videos (darn it). I think everyone should own this vacuum I know you won't be disappointed between the impeccable features and impeccable cleaning it's a definite WIN-WIN!!! It also has an extra long cord that lets you cover a lot of floor and rooms at once. I am using this vacuum for the last three weeks and really impressed with its versatility and suction power. Apart from the common features, the sealed allergen system with a true HEPA filter is an uncommon and one of the best feature of this pet vacuum. Pros: Very good Suction power – Excellent suction power even with thick carpets. The power is too strong such that most of the time there is no need to clean the brush roll, every dust and hair will be sucked into the dirt cup. Versatility – It comes with three extra accessories and multi floor compatible brush roller. The rubber like strips on the upholstery tool is works very well in removing pet hair. Swell steering helps to clean corners of floor. The long wand and extendable hose helps to reach every nook and corners of the roof and under the furniture. Sealed allergen system – Usually there were only one washable filter in normal vacuum cleaners which is not enough to filter out micro dust and odor which leaves a suffocating environment after vacuum. This is a pretty standard cordless vacuum and we bought to replace a handheld Dyson whose battery went to junk. I do like the hanging stand that holds all of the attachments. When it comes to the vacuum though I do not understand why they give you variable speed options. I think this is a marketing gimmick so they can brag about higher runtimes (at low-power) and additional features. We always use high speed for everything, which is about the same power as the 10 yr old Dyson it replaced. With the 4ah battery included, we get about 15 min run time. The main reason we got this model is because I already own about 5 24volt batteries and a large portion of the 24 volt power tool line from Greenworks so we always have full batteries and swapping is easy. If I were buying a cordless vacuum, I would buy one that I already have batteries for as you will need several batteries to do any cleaning with it. I would add that Greenworks has always stood by their products whenever I had any issues in the past.
Really like all the attachments, helps get the job done. Needed a soft brush that was safe for my hardwood floors Greenworks covered that. Love the LED lights make it easier to see the missed spots. Super happy with performance & ease of operation, no cord to drag around. I have carpet and a dog, and the suction is great! Battery life is impeccable I can do the whole house on a single charge or more. I also like how dumping the waste bin scrapes along the filter so you can truly get it all emptied out. I cannot recommend this enough! Added bonus, the 24V lithium-ion battery (also included) can be used as a power bank for charging compatible devices such as phones and tablets. The promise is great, but the delivery of that promise is marginal. I have now purchased multiple Greenworks tools – trimmer, blower, lawn mower, drill and driver – and based on that experience, expected greatness from this cordless stick vacuum. I did not get greatness, just a shade above mediocrity. The battery life is much less than desired. I bought it in the hopes of a 45 minute use per charge, as advertised, but getting anywhere near that means you must run it on its minimal power. More important, though, the service at Greenworks absolutely STINKS! I have tried 5 times to call them (they don't provide an email option) and have been on hold 45+ minutes each time, and finally gave up. If most of the products weren't so good on their own, I suspect this company would have long ago gone out of business. In summary – try their tools if you want to go it alone. Many criteria, isn't it? When I received this cordless stick vacuum, I first used that on a carpet, and you can't believe it sucked up so much dust from the cleaned carpet! I couldn't believe it and tried to use that in a different room and after using it I realized that the one I was using earlier was the heaviest & noisy and did not capture the microparticles which this little gem did on the very first use. The stick has a powerful light to see if the area is dirty and it automatically adjust the speed on the carpet and hard floor. Also, you don't need to hang this anyway as this can be kept anywhere without any back support. Based on my experience it has powerful suction and long-lasting battery life which you can easily use for your daily cleaning with a single charge. This vacuum is incredible! Things I love about it: – It is so light, and sucks up stuff so easily and well. You can press it twice for more suction. – The coolest part is there is a light on it so you actually see everything you're vacuuming up. I thought my floor was clean and then I used this vacuum- I couldn't believe how much was there that I couldn't see without the light and how it got up all the dog hair and dust so easily. It's such an awesome idea to have the small light on it- I've never seen that before. – It can lay flat so you can put it all the way under the couch or bed if it's raised up abt 3 or 4" off ground and you can turn it really easily to get edges. I've always had to wipe under the furniture so this is so nice and easy. – it automatically switches suction when you go over carpet vs wood from sensing it. – I LOVE that it's battery operated. the battery seems to last long- I vacuumed the whole downstairs and the charge was still there. I've just been plugging it in to charge every time I put the vacuum back so I'm not sure how long it lasts but seems to last pretty long. – my kids want to vacuum now bc they love seeing all the stuff with the light that gets cleaned up!!! Overall this is a great product. We have a lot of slate which is a bit bumpy but the vac handles it very well. When transitioning to carpet this is where it had a problem and the roller popped out. Now I just turn it off when I go from slate to carpet to area rugs. It does not like long shag so I’ll use my regular vac for those. A great feature is the headlight and that it feels almost self propelled, the maneuverability getting under things like a bed is fabulous. The fact that it’s a comfortable weight and no cord has tended to make me use it on my carpet three times a week, in fact I’ve not used my regular vacuum since receiving this. Worth the cost.Ellbelle

When the Raycop arrived, I thought I'd be sending it back. Why? Because with four cats, I vacuum all my upholstered furniture with the Dyson every week and am not a fan of anything with a UV light. However, after going over my sectional and seeing what the Raycop picked up, I was impressed. The little filter was full of stuff that I assume was dust mites and their debris. I didn't read the part of the instructions that said to clean the dust filter, remove the clear dust box, submerge it in water, remove the dust filter under water so as not to release the debris back into the air. So when I took out the dry filter and began to clean it, I started with sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes. This thing absolutely picked up allergens like dust mites. I was sold. The safety features for the UV light calmed my fears about it because when the machine loses contact with the surface being cleaned, the light shuts off automatically. This little machine is now part of my cleaning routine. It takes a bit more time to use it than vacuuming but the results are well worth it.Wilhelmina
Who has time to hold this in one spot for 3 minutes to remove 90% dust particles? Even holding it in one spot for 10 seconds so the UV light is over a very small area, it would take hours just to clean a mattress surface. I used this once on my mattress pad, moving very slowly. All I got were tiny little fibers from the cloth. Nothing that looked like dust or tiny tiny remains of dust mites. I think this is a lot of hype that people are falling for (I did), but without a microscope, how does anyone really know if this is killing and pulling out dust mites from anything. Perhaps a good vacuum but not sure any better than a really good vac that you may already have. Now I must pay a small fortune to return this thing. My stupid mistake.mkmtd

Having purchased two Dyson handhelds in the past, I thought I would give Hoover a try this time around (as I do own a pull around canister Hoover that I've had since 2007 and its been awesome) . Unfortunately, I am left disappointed. If you want a vacuum that won't suck up the smallest of crumbs but rather push them around and shoot them out in every direction causing you more work, clogs up with little to no dust particles constantly, and then get zero help or back up from their customer support, then this is the vacuum for you! Because the vacuum couldn't be returned to store once it was used, I contacted the company directly. They proceeded to copy and paste their "de-clogging" instructions, and then ignored the rest of my emails. I am capable of reading a manual and this didn't help me what-so-ever. I cannot believe they actually advertise this as a PET model, because I am using it for much less dirty jobs than pet hair and/or litter, etc. and it's essentially useless. The only good thing I have found about it is the dual batteries and the battery life. However, that isn't very helpful alone when the vacuum doesn't do its job properly. Unfortunately due to the lack of support from Hoover itself, I will not be purchasing any more of their products or recommending to anyone else.kmitschke
I am quite impressed with my new vacuum. Every detail of it seems well thought out which means a lot in this day and age. It really seems to be built to last a long time. All the electronic parts are protected. I really appreciate the brushless "digital" motor. Every little detail is engineered like the battery and charger LED animations syncing together. It came with a silent 4-amp fast charger that charges fully in one hour. This is even including that it waits to charge the battery until it is the optimal temp so it doesn't degrade faster. Each battery and the whole vacuum have a three year limited warranty. The batteries have built-in smart BMS's that communicate with the vacuum and charger to make sure the cells are within their optimal ranges. I noticed the wheels are multi-piece with rubber tread unlike other vacuums I've seen. The whole vacuum is quite simple and intuitive. The phone customer service was some of the best I've ever had. The packaging was recyclable, even the plastic bags. The regular mode seems to clean better than our old corded Shark vacuum and the boost mode is crazy and like suctions it to the carpet. It gets a whopping 9 minutes of run time on boost mode though. The brushroll head is like 3/4 the width of the Shark's so you have to do more lines. The brushroll motor stopped many times to cool down today while I was vacuuming our nasty apartment's carpet. I needed to swap batteries a few times. I charged the other battery while I was using the other. I got the second battery for free as a promotion and it's very needed. Being a cordless stick vacuum is really quite nice but while it can go all the way under couches the weight is located where your hand is which makes it feel a lot heavier than it is. The hours of online research I did was definitely worth it. It would've been a five-star review but Hoover/FedEx's communication on the payment and shipping was very non-existent. Did lots of research on many different brands/types of battery powered handheld vacuums for auto and coffee cart cleaning. I roast my own coffee, addicted to espresso daily and those things can be a bit messy at times. This vacuum makes very short/efficient work of cleaning everything I put it through. I could tell just by unboxing it that the build quality is outstanding just based on the feel of the materials used, let alone actually charging/using it. The system is very well thought out with every possible attachment needed for all sorts of mild/moderate cleaning jobs. Very compact to get into the most confined areas too. The filtration system is as efficient as advertised as it never loses suction and the actual filter stays spotless due to the design. Super easy to empty the filter container with no mess/inconvenience. Have seen a few complaints in reviews regarding the battery capacity and yes it does fade when being pushed on MAX cleaning, but it does a great/quick job nonetheless. People should understand you simply can't have MAX performance/capacity simultaneously… Both battery packs give good runtime for the use I put it through and charge in a reasonable amount of time and don't experience any sort of low self-discharge when sitting on a shelf unused for any realistic period of time. Nice to have the option to buy more packs as these age as we have had to toss other brands when the battery fades due to it NOT being user serviceable and just dies. Last point I will make is the awesome design of the powered brush roller as it works very well at various angles and being able to remove the brush roller for easy cleaning is ingenious. This is our 4th Electrolux hard surface vacuum, two 12 volt and an 18 volt. We absolutely love this vacuum and were very upset when we couldn't find it anywhere on line. A couple of years ago we bought a Dyson 10 because we couldn't find an 18 volt Electrolux. It is not in any way comparable or even as convenient as the Electrolux. We love the swivel head, the easy recharging stand and removable hand vac, so much easier and simpler than the Dyson. When we tried to buy an Electrolux, we were told it was no longer sold in the USA, but then we found it through Amazon. I jumped at buying another ergorapido, the minute I saw they were making them again, and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s well balanced and easy to maneuver. Most of all, it’s suction was far more than I expected, and far superior to the previous models I’ve had. And you can do mats by turning it down to low speed, without worrying about sucking up the end of the mat. Emptying the dust bin was a lot simpler than previous models, too. Oh, and Hair! Hair that winds around the roller cleans off easily with the tap of your foot on the snipper tool. The only thing lacking are the instructions— simply illustrations. A little more detail would be helpful. I would definitely buy this again.Brian406
This is our third Ergorapido. We purchased our first one over ten years ago because I kept tripping on the cord to my corded vacuum. We were so impressed with it that we put away our other vacuums and never use them. Wow, okay, I never thought I'd be this excited about a vacuum, but here we are. I've been meaning to get a vacuum since I moved into this apartment 10 months ago, but I've been putting it off. I also have two black labs who shed like it's their sole purpose in life. Needless to say, my carpeted stairs were in *desperate* need of a good vacuuming. But I also needed a vacuum that works on the laminate flooring downstairs. I'm happy to say that this vacuum does all that and more. The hardest part about putting this vacuum together is getting it out of the box, but everything else is a breeze, and all the attachments have a storage place on the vacuum itself. It's probably the lightest vacuum I've ever operated, which means it doesn't feel like leg day at the gym when I carry it upstairs. It comes with several super helpful attachments, including a turbo brush that makes vacuuming stairs a breeze and a crevice tool to get those tight corners (you need both for stairs). I was super impressed that this vacuum picked up those clumps of dog hair with no issues, and the Febreze filter smells amazing and so fresh. The only real downsides are that it's loud (no surprise, it's a vacuum), my dogs hid from it. In addition, due to its compact nature, you will have to empty it fairly frequently. I got about five stairs done before I had to empty it (in all fairness, there was a TON of dog hair on the stairs). That's not a huge deal for me because I live in a fairly small space and don't plan on letting my carpet get covered in dog hair again. Overall: great for carpets, stairs, bare floor, and homes with pets! I would buy this over and over again!
I received a free sample of this product in exchange for my honest review. I love this vacuum! I had been using a typical large upright vacuum that I had had for probably 12+ years, and it was always so bulky, heavy and messy to clean out. This made me reluctant to clean as often as I should. In addition, the suction power has definitely decreased noticeably over time, causing me to have to run it over the same areas many times to get the areas clean. This AeroSwift vacuum truly has lived up to the description on it, "Full Size Power, Lightweight Design." It's easy to pull out and put away as well as easy to maneuver. To empty the dirt canister, you just press a release button to detach it from the main upright component, and then press another button to open the canister. I like the fact that the canister opens on the bottom, which allows the dirt to just drop out directly into the trash, as opposed to my current vacuum canister, which has the opening on top and kicks up more dirt into the air every time it is pulled out of the vacuum and emptied. Finally, I love the Febreze filter that is included in this vacuum, which makes the air smell fresh every time I vacuum – contrast this with how my typical vacuum experience seems to result in the smell of something like feet (which could simply reflect on the condition of my carpets and not necessarily the vacuum, but at least the Febreze filter on the AeroSwift helps combat these odors). All in all, I really like this vacuum and would definitely recommend it to others and consider buying another one if needed.
very highly recommended. the detached mini vac works awesome as well as the vacuum itself. it is so lightweight. I have a rainbow vacuum and in prefer to use this over it. I have tile floors and also high pile and low pile carpet; I have two shedding dogs and this vacuum works on all surfaces so so well. I was looking for something to replace my little vacuum that I had for my tile for dirt and hair but wanted something that would work on carpets and too so I got this and couldn't be happier all my floors get so clean. and its really easy to drag out since its compact and very light. its crazy how powerful this little thing is. I am especially pleased because it wasn't too expensive. and the filters are washable!! you can buy fancy expensive vacuums that don't work near as good as this so I am glad I got this one.I only wish it had a wet vac hose but that's ok I suppose its still a vacuum that beats all; Kirby, rainbow, even other bissell models.

I thought getting a Hoover vacuum would be be a great buy, I always bought more expensive $350 ) vacuums. Not sure if this had been previously returned, but the start button is very hard to push; I have to actually stick my nail in it or a handle of a wooden spoon. The pet accessory does stall if you push too hard and the hose doesn’t suction at all if you don’t lift the vacuum off of the carpet first. There’s no brush accessory for lamp shades and the like. The thing that comes with it is rubber (probably for pet hair and works well) but it comes off too easily. The button for the waste is too sensitive (almost opened before I got to the garbage) and too low. And I can’t find a stair handle? I use the waste bin handle and that seems like it would eventually break. The suction is very good but I feel that all new vacuums have very good suction at first.Swivel
I now see all of the high reviews were part of a promotion. We bought this vacuum yesterday and I've already decided to return it. It's insanely heavy and not at all stair friendly. the attachments are pretty useless unless you're holding them at exactly the right angle. The "15 feet of cleaning" from the hose is more like 4 feet before the machine tips over. PLUS when you engage the hose, the base doesn't "stop" so it's basically cleaning while you're trying to use the hose and it blows dirt and debris everywhere out of the hole. When I contacted Hoover they just asked me to send proof of purchase and they'd get back to me in a week lol. I'm heading to walmart in the morning to return it. Overall the only good thing about this vacuum is the base's suction. nothing else.Addie
I received this Hoover WindTunnel High Performance Pet Upright from BzzAgent for my honest review. This Hoover vacuum was extremely easy to put together. I will mention if you have long nails you may have issues with the power button, but once I figured it out I was able to turn it on with zero issues. This vac offers a setting for hard floors to low to high carpet. This is a perfect feature for myself since I have vinyl plank flooring, rugs and carpet in my home. This vacuum did a beautiful job picking up dust and pet fur from my vinyl floors. The real test however was when I used it on my carpets and rugs. Need I said holy suction it did not disappoint. I've been using my Shark upright but I noticed right away the significant difference in suction power in this Hoover WindTunnel. No more having to use my pet lint hair roller multiple times before I vacuum. This Hoover WindTunnel did the job picking up hair, crumbs the kids dropped and all other debris. In comparison to the vacuum I have used I would say his Hoover performs exceptionally well. I love that this pet Hoover WindTunnel includes the pet attachments for furniture. I was reading the reviews on this product and decided to purchase it. I was skeptical if it was putting up everything from the carpet since I didn't feel a suction compared to previous vacuums. However, once I was done vacuuming, all my doubts were gone. I feel like this vacuum picked up more of my cats' hairs than my previous vacuum. Also, I have rabbits and their droppings didn't go flying when I was vacuuming it up. I love the fact that the extension cord is retractable. It was very easy to put the vacuum together. Very glad I bought this.
I had the older model of the POWERCLEAN REWIND (model 1813) which lasted me years. I was excited to "upgrade" to this model, but the older version is better. The suction is the same (outstanding), the body is almost identical. This particular version includes the same great attachments (although the turbo brush is improved). The new version also has a suction performance indicator. Both models have the cord rewind feature, but the previous one retracted much faster. The housing for the cord on this model is seemingly delicate. The cord rewind button needs LOTS of pumps in order to completely suck cord in. The biggest flaw in this newer model is where the power cord is positioned. Instead of being on the left side, it is near the user's right foot. The cord is a trip hazard. I cannot enjoy vacuuming because I have to be constantly aware of the cord. If I do not hold it up with my opposite hand it wraps and crosses around/over the machine and my feet. I do not know why BISSELL has decided to change the positioning of the power cord. It appears all of their vacuums now use this placement for the cord. I really wish I could purchase the older model again because it really was a superior vacuum. I feel like I "downgraded" for a much higher cost, very disappointing.
As a proud owner of two overly shading corgis, I really appreciate a good vacuum cleaner that is designed specifically for pet hair. Tried several pet vacuums before the PowerClean, and wasn't quite satisfied with the result. PowerClean does a great job keeping my house neat and clean. It effectively works on both carpet and hardwood, and different add-on brushes help with cleaning furniture and stairs. Quick sweep is enough to get all that hair off the floor and carpets… Also, I'm extremely happy with a retractable rewind cord system that activates with one click of a button. The vacuum is also easy to use and easy to clean. On a con side, it's a bit heavy and I wish it had a 360 rotation, but quite frankly with a wonderful job it does cleaning my dogs' hair, I could care less about those minor things. Overal, great vacuum. Highly recommend!

This lightweight vacuum is easy to push (it almost feels self-propelled thanks to the powerful brush), and has good pickup on hardwood floors I found that it was able to grab both fine and bulkier soils (ranging from dust, crumbs and whole cereal bits, cat kibble, the occasional scrap of tissue paper) in a single pass with ease. And the HEPA filtration bag is quite nice! The air exhaust from the vacuum had no malodor, telling me that the very fine dust from both carpet and hard floor was successfully trapped. HEPA filtration is vital to keeping indoor air clean as dust and dirt flows through the machine into the bag, so the vacuum bag design for this machine is definitely my favorite feature. The vacuum cleaner head itself houses the motor and is much quieter than I expected it to be, another plus. The suction power of this machine seems average to me. I could hear silty soil being brushed up for vacuuming and collection in the filter bag on both low pile and moderate plush carpet, but I'm not sure as to how far deep down in the carpet this vacuum reaches. This vacuum comes with two batteries, and I averaged a run-time of 20 minutes for each battery, giving a total operating time of around 40 minutes in my medium-size home featuring both carpet and hard floor. I am able to vaccum my entire home with the combined runtime of both batteries. Some minuses: On the topic of suction, I must say again I feel that it's just average and I'm not sure as to how deep this vacuum reaches into carpet. However, it must be considered that the cordless design makes the vacuum easier to push, pull, and turn as removing the cord reduces the vacuum weight and that my experience on hard floor was very good. I don't think the battery capacity would be sufficient for anything bigger than a typical two story home. I feel that the sidepath pickup was only alright. The takeaway: this quiet and lightweight vacuum has a great HEPA bag for cleaner air and no-fuss disposal, and has lightweight maneuverability with good dirt pickup on hardfloor. I think this vacuum would make a good choice for someone with a smaller dwelling or apartment with primarily bare or mixed hard floor and carpet surfaces and would recommend it to them.SweeperEnthusiast444
Before I purchased this vacuum, I called Hoover to ask about the battery life and the return procedure if I didn't like this vacuum. I was told the battery life was 1 hour per battery, so the included two would give 2 hours of vacuuming time. I was also told if I did not like the vacuum, I could called Hoover back and they would send me a return label for free. I would not have to pay for return shipping. So the batteries have no run time. They give out after 15 -18 minutes. When I called Hoover to see what I was doing wrong Marshall told me the batteries were only supposed to run 15 – 18 minutes each. It takes 4 hours to recharge each battery. So I said that will not work for my house and please send me the return label so I could return the vacuum. Marshal said Hoover doesn't pay for returns. I told him I had called the Hoover customer service department to ask about returns as I had not purchased from Hoover on-line before and I was told all I had to do was call to get a free return label. Marshall said that is not Hoover's policy. I asked to speak with his supervisor. After putting me on hold and never letting me speak to a supervisor, Marshall came back on the line and said Hoover would allow a one time free return. He said I should have the return label in one hour. It took until the following day to get the label. I do not recommend this vacuum is you have more than 20 minutes of vacuuming to do. With throw rugs and 3 bedrooms, that is not enough time to vacuum a house. Also, customer service does not know what the return policy is and told me the wrong information which I despise. People need to know their company's policy.Angry
I can't stand bagless vacs and wanted something cordless and light. There are few options right now and the Hoover OnePwr is the most affordable I could find. It's perfect for quick pickups on our hard floors and carpets. It doesn't have the power my Simplicity Freedom does, but that vacuum is corded. So I use the Hoover daily and the Freedom for weekly chores. I'll also add that the Hoover OnePwr is much quieter than my other vacs and that makes it more pleasant. Plus the high quality of construction is noticed and appreciated.william
