Ordered this bundle for such a great deal! Unfortunately, the item was delivered to the wrong address by FedEx. Totally not Hoover's fault. They re-shipped another bundle to me, and it worked out well the second time. I love these vacuums! They do a great job on our hardwoods and rugs and carpet. Our two year old loves to help vacuum too – that's how light the stick vacuum is! Being cordless is such a plus!!! Only wish that the batteries weren't so expensive, but that's not a huge deal. We purchased one extra battery just so both the handheld and stick have their own batteries. I will say that the handheld is far inferior to the stick, but it works for what we need (to do the stairs and our cars) – just have to go over the same areas multiple times, as the suction isn't stellar. I would recommend and purchase the stick vacuum again for sure… just probably not the handheld.Moon

I bought this cordless vac because I like any conveniences I can get when it comes to house work. I use my floor cleaners more often when cordless. I can glady skip wrapping/unwrapping, plugging/unplugging cords in and out of electrical outlets from room to room. I've been happy with this cordless since I got it last July (not quite one year old). It was an upgrade overall from what I had. However the hose got a hole in it not about 6-7 months in. Not from anything I could figure out. I duct taped it and after a second hole, I contacted the Manufacturer, since it's still within a 3 year warranty. They said the hose is not made anymore – already out of making the parts??? They will replace it — okay, — but I have to mail the whole vac back on my dime. They will pay for the shipment of the new unit. Which may be kinda fair, but it's too soon for this type of episode with a not quite a year old vacuum. Since the parts are not being made – there's no commitment to this product by the mfr. I did not buy at this store, but thought I would let someone know if considering — please don't do it.Chickee

I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it's was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure. I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair. I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead. It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn't. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me. I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery… So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. If you want a cordless for wood (or any non carpeted) floors, this one is definitely recommended. And it does hold up against that pet hair!Ameri5

So I've owned a Ball Animal 2 for about 3 yrs and have had a love/hate relationship with it. And having owned the Ball Animal 3 for almost a month now, I can honestly say I still have a love/hate relationship with this brand. I purchased the Animal 3 because I was glad to finally see that Dyson opted to change the Cleaning Head to what the UK variant has had for awhile now, which is having a carpet height selector. Now I really have to say that the Animal 3 has so much better suction with having the carpet height selector, but that also has a negative that I've found. I find it very difficult to turn now compared to the Animal 2 which turned on a dime. I will for sure keep it as I don't want to jump through the hoops of returning it, but I don't believe I will be making any future Dyson vacuum purchases in the future after this experience. The cost of these vacuums is very much on the high side and with that you would expect that they would do their own inhouse study/testing and they seem to have failed at this. In the end it basically comes down to the fact that the negatives outweigh the positives when compared to what you expect when making such an expensive purchase. Yes the suction is probably the best you'll ever have with any vacuum on the market BUT with negative costs. Being a "BALL" vacuum and unlike the Animal 2 that could turn easily, this thing is a major struggle to turn… NOT GOOD! The Animal 3 also has the same issues like the Animal 2 in that trying to use the hose is a chore on it's own. The suction is just so strong that you basically need to have the vacuum right next you or end up having to do things like… prop the vacuum around the corner of a wall and then stretch out the hose while also having some decent arm and upper body strength to do so with even minimal comfort. The "Cyclone" portion of the vacuum is a very poor design. Due to a common static charge while vacuuming, it allows for dust to build up in massive clumps within the Cyclone piece. You need to constantly bang the heck out of this piece while over a trash can in order to keep it even somewhat clean. And they don't make it so the Cyclone can be easily disassembled for cleaning which is a huge disappointment and failure within it's design. I also find it upsetting that even though Dyson offers a TON of accessories for these upright models… they don't offer one of the most common of accessories… a basic dusting brush! Yes it comes with a combo tool for crevice and dusting. They even offer a wide variety of other dusting attachments… ones that can twist for angled dusting, one that can bend etc etc… but then not your basic common everyday short dusting brush that's found on 99.9% of vacuums since they were invented. Really boggles my mind. No lie… since I still have the Animal 2, I took the combo tool from that one and ended up cutting off basically 80% of the crevice tool portion to make my own "basic short dusting brush!". Dyson if your listening: You should have listened to your customer base and address the issue with the hose being difficult to use. I'm sure there has to be a solution… maybe a hose that's not as stiff? Look into my "home modification" of the basic short dusting brush and release a factory version. And please look into the problem of the Animal 3 being so much harder to turn compared to the Animal 2.MotionMan

Dyson products seem to always be ones made to delight. I really enjoyed this vacuum which is an upgrade for my family over a Dyson – Cinetic Big Ball Animal Bagless Upright Vacuum – Iron/Purple that purchased from Best Buy 6 years ago. 6 years later and Dyson's vacuums are still amazing, this one has strong suction that you expect from the name and is somewhat smaller and more compact that the predecessor. I think it runs quieter too although I have not used the deicbel app to compare quantitatively. The smaller size means that there are spots in the corners and around furniture that are now easier to vacuum than before but the head itself sits taller, tall enough that I can no longer vacuum underneath the chairs and couches. The reason for the change in headsize is actually the main draw of this vacuum — the head has been completely redesigned so as to prevent the bunching of pet hair within the bristles. As we have a dog and two cats sharing the house with us, this has been a pain point in the past. Even our dysons need to be taken apart and cleaned of fur at least every 6 weeks so that they continue to run smooth. The early results from a weekend of vaccuming are very promising: the bristles are still out-of-the-box new despite several passes over our house that had gone embarrasingly long between vacuums prior delivery of a new machine. I'm hopeful that this is another part of cleaning that Dyson has made slightly easier.BostonBru

My experience with this rendition of their Ball design bears that out, and I've been largely pleased with it. The Animal version of the Ball is marketed specifically at people with pets, to clean up the hair from carpets and furniture. I find it's also handy if you or the people you live with have long hair. In general, it cleans quite well. It has very powerful suction and the power bar base has three settings for deep pile carpet, normal carpet, and hard floors. The power bar itself can also be toggled on and off. I found it cleaned my carpets quite well, though cleaning my hardwood left a little to be desired ( the instruction manual recommends turning the power bar off for this, I'm not sure why ). It also has a very generous cord length. And though Dyson created the Ball design specifically to make it easier to steer the vacuum around corners and obstacles, I find it much stiffer to turn than other current swivel head vacuums. I appreciate Dyson's design in the vacuum. It's fairly modular, making it relatively easy to service and maintain yourself, provided you can get a replacement part. The filters are washable so you can reuse them instead of constantly buying new replacements. It also keeps things slim and trim so the vacuum is a little more compact than other full-size uprights. This particular model also comes with two extra attachment tools. One is an upholstery brush/cleaner, the other is a pet grooming tool that's supposed to suck up the shedded hair as you brush. How well your pet will handle being brushed near a vacuum remains to be seen. But sometimes I think it tries to be too clever. It uses a friction snap instead of a pedal to release the vertical lock. It's usually fine, but it also means you can accidentally release the upright lock when you don't want to, like if you want to tilt the vacuum back and roll it somewhere or even if you pick it up and then set it down. The extension wand is stored inside the hose in the main column. This is nice for reducing the exterior dimensions, but it also means you have to unwind the entire cord and slide out the entire wand when you want to do some quick spot cleaning. You can detach the wand from the hose if you don't need or want the reach, like in a small corner or nook, but in those moments where you just want to quickly clean up some cookie crumbs or dust bunnies, it's more involved than you might be used to. The main handle is also reversed to accommodate the extension wand, putting the main column below your hand instead of above it when you're using the vacuum. This means the vacuum tilts back farther than others when using it. For myself, I found my legs and knees bumped into main unit a lot since it was now leaning more toward me. Most of these complaints are small quirks, admittedly. They may or may not matter to you. All in all, it's a well built vacuum, it cleans well, and it stores easily. It does have a few quirks and the "exhaust" air is quite hot, but these are minor complaints on an otherwise great vacuum.Jaron

I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin

After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

I purchased this vacuum not even 2 years ago and have already had to call for a warranty. This thing overheats and when attempting to change the filter on the ball… not easy and the cost for new filters is not worth it. It’s almost 70 dollars for two new filters. I understand that clean filters are necessary but why are they so expensive? You can’t wash them like the old dysons because these are enclosed in plastic and would never dry.I have an old upright dyson that never gave me trouble like this one. So although this vacuum had great suction —-It gets so hot when I vaccum that I seriously worry that it is going to start a fire. I have to shut it down repeatedly and let it cool off. I contacted dyson today and I will say their customer service rep was great. I am now waiting for my shipping info to send Vaccum in for warranty work. It is a terrible inconvenience and now I am without a vacuum after purchasing what I thought would be the best. To make matters worse it has to be shipped and can not be repaired locally or so I was told. So disappointed ☹️ I would not purchase this vacuum again.JoyceG

I purchased this vacuum to replaced the thirteen year old Dyson DC17 that finally broke and I could no longer get replacement parts for it. After considerable use I can assure you that this vacuum will impress with it's capabilities. We have three dogs and two cats so pet hair is an issue. This vacuum easily outperformed the DC17 in the pet department picking up pet hair I didn't even know existed. Compared to the DC17 this vacuum is very quiet in use. About half the noise compared to my old vacuum. The collection bin is considerably smaller compared to my old Dyson and requires more frequent emptying but that isn't a big deal. This vacuum comes with a nice assortment of tools but what it doesn't include is the $50 hard surface floor tool. Our home is mostly hardwood and tile downstairs with the exception of the master bedroom so the floor tool was a must. Dyson should include this considering the cost of the vacuum! The other issue is that it is an outright lie to advertise this vacuum as "no filter maintenance" required. Not true! The vacuum has HEPA filters that will need to be replaced about once a year to keep the performance of the vacuum like new. Instead it should be advertised as no pre-filter maintenance required. Overall I would recommend this vacuum. The price is steep but in the end you do get what you pay for in performance. As I said, don't advertise as no filter maintenance when you have to replace filters and for the price Dyson needs to step up and include the hard surface floor tool instead of making it an accessory!budbrande

I've had this vacuum for a while now, it was gifted to us as a wedding gift. The suction is great and the cord is long, however, there are two inconveniences that drive me nuts. #1 it will not pick up any of my cats food as the pieces are "too big"… for this vacuum at least. Our last vacuum we were able to actually raise and lower the deck of the vacuum for different depths of flooring/carpet which was nice because it would suck up the cat food – however the suction on that vacuum was nowhere near as good as the dyson. My 2nd gripe is that if you want to just use the hose you have to undo the ENTIRE cord because of the way its mounted. So, sometimes I just want to get in-between a crevice real quick and have to undo the cord just to wrap it all back up again. Overall great vacuum, it's super easy to take apart and clean too.Rye1031

I bought this vacuum to replace my old Shark. This one is more comfortable to use due to its long hose and 4-point swivel casters. Very easy to reach any spot under furniture. My house is a mixture of carpet, hard floors, and large rugs, and I was worried that it would be problematic to clean everything properly. But the suction is fantastic; I can use different settings of cleaning power to quickly clean the pet hair and dirt throughout the house. It's a bit heavy and problematic for the stairs, but due to the long hose, the problem can be resolved fast. The container is very easy to empty. Due to a large 11 m cleaning radius, you can clean large rooms easily. The short hairs that are usually embedded in fabrics are easily removed. Very impressed by the amount of fine dust captured. Also, it is very easy to store, and the on-board storage is great for keeping the dusting brush and upholstery, crevice, and flexible nozzles all in one place and within easy reach. I highly recommend this vacuum, it's very much worth its price tag.Laura

I am allergic to animal hair and our kids have a cat so i am very sensitive to an effective cleaning. The suction on this thing is incredible although the noise isn't that loud. It's not light, but probably no heavier than other similar sized cylinder vacuums and for the most part you won't need to carry it as it's on wheels, it's just stairs where you might need to. I can reach half way up my stairs just with the main pipe and half way down. You can tell it's superb quality and does the job. It is super easy to put together and very easy to empty, with a clear instruction booklet. It's also bagless and fascinating to see what you collect in the container. It uses a single cyclone system which seems to be far more effective than others. It has a great self clean mode to regularly clean out the dust filter too and keep the suction strong so every so often you're meant to take that part out and give it a rinse. My rhinitis is very thankful to the power of this vacuum.Gabo

With Miele you suspect a certain level of quality but in a saturated market it's still sometimes difficult to justify the cost of an item like this when others are supposed to be the best ones on the market. You soon realise the CX1 is worth every penny once you open the box. Every part of the vacuum cleaner design is well considered, every plastic piece has a quality feel and the fit and finish is excellent and the number of tools packaged meet all your needs. In use it's quiet compared to others and the suction is incredibly powerful and the vacuum unit stable – especially compared with a "drunk" Henry that seems to want to cling to everything and topple over. You can see the carpets lift as you move across them with the easy to hold hose and even just after using a Dyson or the Henry in the same space it still picks up a lot of dust that has been left by the others. My only criticism is that when doing a fantastic job of picking up long hair this quickly tangles around the brush and isn't the easiest to remove without tools / cutting. All in all a great product that's incredibly good at what it's designed to do.Michael

So after my other vacuum I had for a long time, even went with a family of 6 over seas when I was active duty military finally dies. We decided that we would try a Dyson, so we went with the Dyson Ball Animal 2. Honestly my kids (16-24yo) and wife usually do most of the vacuuming so they used it for the first few months and when the kids complained about the quality I thought they just didn’t want to vacuum. Finally I decided to try it for myself and I quickly agreed with their opinions. Here are some of the issues we as a family decided to put in this review. 1. For a vacuum that cost more then my first car it should have a light on it to help see in the darker areas of the house. 2. When you lock the handle to the upright position it is made with plastic and feels like it is going to break every time. 3. The extension hose has to be pulled out the full length so to do stairs or other angles are very difficult. 4. When trying to roll the vacuum on the back two wheels any little bump knocks it out of the lock position. In our opinion this unit was cheaply made and not worth the money. Will not invest in or recommend a Dyson. Wow, as I am completing this review the last question it asks me is “I received a product for free to help facilitate my review.” and the only option is “Yes.” We did not receive anything for free, we paid $499.99 plus tax for this vacuum out of our money.MSgt Robert V

I would give this vacuum less than 1 star if possible. I had my previous Dyson Vacuum for 10 years before it died on me. It was a great product. Based off than experience I decided the money was worth it to invest in another Dyson Vacuum so I purchased the Dyson Ball Animal 2 (1/25/2020). After owning it for just about 1 year month I was already having problems. I would turn the vacuum on and there would be a burning smell and a grinding noise. There is a black mechanism that divides the left and right rollers. On that mechanism there is black plastic pieces that protrude. The roller slides right on to these. The plastic appears to have melted causing the black plastic protruding piece to completely detach. This then makes it so that the roller no longer spins and the black protruding piece is broken and separated from the part that spins. After going through all of the troubleshooting Dyson sent me a new head to the vacuum (1/23/2021). At this point I had own the vacuum almost exactly a year. I thought, hey this kind of stuff happens, no big deal. Everything was fixed in a little less than 2 weeks and I was good. Then the same thing happened again on 10/23/2021. The black plastic protruding piece melted again which made the vacuum unusable. Frustratingly, Dyson had NO record of my previous issue even though I have email proof which allows me to provide the exact date of 1/23/2021. I was going through this again 9 months later. This time (due to shipping delays) it took 2 months for me to have my vacuum back and working again. Once again, I was given a new head to the vacuum. Now, 3/12/2022 I am going through the same issue again for a 3rd time. The black plastic protruding piece seams to have melted again! I am now having to mail the entire vacuum in and hopefully will get it back fixed within 14 days. I was beyond frustrated and the person on the phone said that all they could do is send it in to get repaired or give me 20% off another Dyson purchase. I have now owned this vacuum for a little over 2 years. Assuming I get the current issues fixed within 14 days the vacuum will have spent about 4 months of time being repair or waiting for replacement parts. In other words, inoperable. It is only my wife and I that used the vacuum. My children to not touch it. Also keep in mind that I take very good care of the vacuum. With all of the issues we have had with this vacuum I am very diligent in cleaning the hair and other stuff out of the rollers after every use. I vacuum the entire house every Saturday which is about 3000 sq/ft and mostly carpet. Can this vacuum not handle that kind of usage at a single time? It appears that it cannot although our older Dyson vacuum could do it just fine. I believe I spent somewhere between $600-$700 dollars on the vacuum. That is a vary big purchase price for something that keeps breaking down. I fear that I will continue to go through this because the Dyson Ball Animal 2 is poorly designed. I do not want to continue going through this until the warranty runs out and then be forced to get something new at my expense. I pay that much money for quality which means that I expect to use this vacuum for many years. I guess for now I will wait on my vacuum to return and fixed for a 3rd time and keep my figures crossed. Ideally I would be willing to get some of my money back from purchasing this vacuum and use it to buy a different model Dyson. Yes, I would be willing to give Dyson ONE more chance with a different model. Just offering me a 20% discount on a new vacuum is not going to cut it when in just 2 years I have had some many issues after spending hundreds of dollars on a vacuum that promises quality. I have been a lifelong user of Dyson vacuums from the very earliest days. I have always thought that they are the best. Sad to say that after 2 years of use I cannot say that about the Animal 2. Just for the record we also have the Dyson V6 Animal which my wife uses because of her Rheumatoid Arthritis. Once a week I will do the heavy duty, top to bottom house clean with the Animal 2. And I don't look forward to it at all. First of all the positives: 1. Fantastic suction 2. I use all of the heads that can be attached to the hose and are excellent for getting into the difficult spots. The negatives: 1. This is a heavy machine. Now I keep myself fit but you get a workout from this machine. Because it is heavy it is not the most manoeuvrable. Somebody like my wife who has RA can forget about using this for more than a minute or two. 2. When using it with the hose when the accessories are attached, the machine does not follow easily and more often than not tips over. It is shocking for doing that. I wouldn't even contemplate using it for the stairs. 3. The hose may be lighter than previous models but honestly does not feel as robust. But so far it has stood two years worth of use. 4. The power cable is sadly far inferior to previous models. It is of cheaper quality and easily gets entangled around the wheels of the vacuum when using the hose and even when using it without the hose. It may be a longer hose (I think) but it gets tangled so easily. All in all, this is one of the worst Dyson's we have had.Andy

I bought this 6 months ago and tried to get used to it, but don’t like it at all. It is hard to push. I have it on the max setting and still harder to push on normal carpet. The attachments often fall off when in normal use. I had heard great things about simplicity, however, they had an older model. This newer one doesn’t compare. Unfortunately, iI am very unhappy with the user friendly aspect of it. I would not recommend.Jill

I have had this vacuum for about a year. I bought it because of the dog hair I contend with on a daily basis. It does an amazing job and the fact that it has a bag is a big plus. I always thought bagless was the way to go because of convenience, but this unit proves that thought was completely wrong. You won't be sorry if you buy this vacuum. Suction seems good but I have had this vacuum a week and it's driving me crazy bc I can't get the wand to stay in it's holder while I'm vacuuming .. if I bend to go under a desk or table the wand will fall out .. sure seems like this is a poor design… Why can't the wand fit more snug in it's holder so it doesn't fall out every 5 seconds? How much suction is it losing bc the fitting is soooo loose?? Surely I'm not the first person to have this issue?! Wish I could return this. 🙁PamC

Just bought this Shark "Purple" Navigator vac on the recommendation of a friend who has one. First let me say I have owned at least a dozen vacs in my life including models from Hoover, Oreck, Pnansonic, Electrolux and a couple of industrial strength shop vacs. This one blows them all out of the ring. I have hardwood floors with large area rugs, mostly wool or synthetic Oriental and Arts and Crafts patterns. Despite the fact that I have regularly vacuumed them with my previous (and clearly wimpy) vacs, when I used this Navigator today I was completely shocked at how much dirt, pet fur, human hair and lint it pulled out of them. After one pass in my master bedroom the large dust cup was packed solid and I had to empty it. Same thing when I did the other bedroom and the 4 downstairs rooms. I completely filled a box the size of a footstool with the clumps of nasty grey fluzz the Navigator pulled deep out of the carpets. And it even pulled up the nap so they look fluffier. It's amazing how clean they look, like I just shampooed them! I feel like I have all new rugs though several of these are over 20 years old. Seriously, buy this vac, it's an excellent value. Do read all the instructions, though, because you need to know how to release all the latches and adjust the suction. The maximum suction is so high you may have to turn it down a little or it will literally pull lighter rugs up into the roller. Easy to adjust, this twist a ring around the handle. Got this today, was a breeze to assemble and get going. Picks up a lot of dirt and hair quickly, I like the no tangle bush as we have a longer hair dog, and my wife and daughter both have long hair which used to have to be cut from the beater bar of our old vac on a regular basis. This one has 3 filters so good for allergies, and the dual brushes which did very well on carpet and hardwood, getting a lot of the dust on the wood floor the old one couldnt get.Only a few things to note, the bin is a bit small and had to be dumped a lot because of pet hair, 3 times on our main living room. It is not the lightest vacuum but about the same as our old one. I wish it came with a cleaning brush head separate order… and had room on board for all the attachments instead of just 2. The head is low profile and fits places our old one would not, and it turns very well. Will see how well it holds up as the Dyson 07 it is replacing lasted us for 20 years and did a good job consistently. Just didnt want to pay top dollar for a Dyson again.3 months later and the vacuum is still doing a great job. We have not had any problems with hair wrap on the brush bar with our golden retrievers fur. Still have to dump the bin a lot with pet fur. Still miss that there was no standard brush attachment, but came with basically two upholstery brushes one powered, one not. About to order the standard long bristle cleaning brush so I can clean the air return and vents, be nice if the sizes were standard so I could just use the old ones from other vacuums. Another quick update, trying to find accessories like the dusting brush has been difficult. Shark does not carry one on their website, even though the owners manual says they do, and cant or wont tell you the dimensions needed. If youre looking for great suction, easy to clean dust bin and lights…then get this. However, if you have a bad back or arthritis, you may want to pass on this vacuum. I vacuum every day and will definitely get a work out while using this. But….I love the way it cleans and Im thinking the weight, sturdiness of this vacuum may make it last longer? When using the extension wand, the brush rollers stop, I know thats important for some. I do not use the lift-away feature, so I cant comment on that. So, love the vacuum and would recommend if you dont mind it being on the heavy side.Lisa

Not sure yet how to rate this vacuum. I recently bought this model as a replacement for model nv681. I like the features of the Shark vacuum, but it didn't last the full 5 years. It began literally falling apart after about 4 and one half years. The brush roller is literally hanging on by a thread. I hope the new one holds up better and longer that my first one, and performs at least as well as the first model. Also the customer service for Shark needs much improvement. When I called to get some answers, I got a major run around. There is no one to talk to when trying to get answers about problems. I would recommend this vacuum with reservations.Rita

I am a vacuuming obsessed weirdo! I just love to vacuum for some reason. I love the before and after and love the feeling of having a nice clean floor. That being said I tried out all kinds of other vacuums while never really finding one that was great until I bought this vacuum. It's got everything I wanted in a vacuum! I should have known to stick with Shark because I have an old lift away professional that I've had for well over 10 years!. It's even still going strong after all the abuse I've put it through but it's just time for a new one. Only reason I tried switching brands is because the upright sharks are quite heavy and I now have stairs in my place that are hard to clean witha a heavy uptight.. After multiple failures with other popular brands I found this one that converts into a canister vac making it much lighter to use on stairs. I'm in love with this thing. It works so well and it's super powerful with all the bells and whistles that I could ask for. The LED lighting on the pull out wand is a huge plus! Lights up anything I'm trying to vacuum. I vacuumed my bedroom soon as I got it right after vacuuming with a popular Eureka that I had previously bought and it was amazing what this vacuum picked up that was left behind by the Eureka. We bought this 3 years ago and the hose split along the ridges. We use it less then the recommended cleaning regimen that carpet manufacturers recommend (daily). Shark claims it's not under the 7 year warranty because we sweep to much.

If your product can't hold up to reasonable use then it's worthless and I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I also find all the nooks and crannies this vacuum has hard to keep clean (canister, wand attachment for furniture top guard thing)

Replacement parts are unreasonably priced with the company's less then expected life expectancy.Patient Farmer

Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away Upright Vacuum This is a really nice general purpose vacuum. It is relatively quiet, has good suction and is versatile in terms of configurations for various uses. Assembly was pretty simple. There are just a few parts and they snap together easily without any tools. In the “normal” upright configuration, the vacuum is easy to navigate on wood/tile floors or carpet. The rotator brush and suction seem to do well. We picked up quite of bit of dirt and lint in the dirt bin during our test even though it had not been that long since we last vacuumed. The brush head pivots when you rotate your wrist from side to side which makes maneuvering around objects a breeze. The power unit can quickly be lifted off so the wand and brush head can easily slide under beds. You can then also pop off he rotator brush head and attach the crevice tool or small brush to reach high on a wall or in a hard to reach spot behind a piece of furniture or appliance. The cord is of ample length to cover an average size room without constantly moving to a different outlet. The dust bin is very easy to empty. Just be sure not to push the button to open the bin until you have it over a trash can. I made that mistake and had the opportunity to test the vacuum again!AncientGeek

I should state upfront that I received the Shark – Rotator Powered Lift-Away Deluxe Bagless 3-in-1 Upright Vacuum model NV751 for purposes of providing an honest and unbiased review. In many ways, the NV751 is a good vacuum. I think Shark is a good, reliable brand. Perhaps my own critiques of the vacuum are more nitpicks, but I expected a bit more from the vacuum in terms of features and accessories. It's a good vacuum, and I recommend it. But, some of the design decisions seem a bit questionable and I would have loved an easier way to clean the roller. Still, it's a powerful vacuum and the ability to switch from upright to above floor mode to powered lift-away with just a few clicks, make the device super convenient. Set-up: As an upright vacuum, the Powered Lift-Away Upright stands nearly 4 feet tall. The power cord reaches around 24 feet. The vacuum never felt too heavy to me, but even I can admit it isn't the lightest vacuum in the world. Power button and changes in floor type are set from the handle. Assembly from box to working vacuum shouldn't take more than a few minutes. There are a lot of buttons and latches on the device. It may take a bit to orientate yourself to which button does what, but it seemed pretty intuitive to me and my wife. With the exception of the roller, maintenance was pretty straight forward. Pros: Powerful. The vacuum has some power to it. It picked up debris missed by other vacuums. The swivel head is, as always with Shark vacuums, great. I really appreciate the HEPA Seal. The included lights on the handle and the motorized head, are also a nice touch. Cons: The motorized head accumulates hair. There's just no way around it. And it's not super easy to get to that head unit for cleaning. You have to flip the head unit upside down, remove a panel with either coins or a flathead screw driver (I recommend the coins), and then remove any hair with a straight edge or a pair of scissors. It's a clunky process and is easily my least favorite thing about the vacuum. Then there are the accessories. It comes with a pet attachment and a 12" crevice tool. I feel like that's the bare minimum and I would expect those with any vacuum. The attachments are supposed to be stored on the back of the vacuum, but in my experience, the pet multi-tool got in the way of wrapping the power cord. I have to take that attachment off every time I want to spool or unspool the power cord. Speaking of attachments, Shark has a lot of them on their website. There's home and car detail kit, dusting attachments, hard floor attachments, and the powered pet brush. I wish more attachments had come standard, but it's nice there are options that can be purchased separately. Conclusion: Nitpicks aside, I have enjoyed the Rotator Powered Lift-Away Deluxe Bagless 3-in-1 Upright Vacuum. I wish more accessories came included, but what's here works pretty well.RedScorpion

This is an “upgraded” model, but in my opinion, it’s so much worse! No doubt that the suction power is fabulous. My issues are: 1. They removed the suction control slider that let you control the level of suction for area rugs, carpet height, etc. This model only gives you two options – regular/carpet and high pile carpet/area rugs. I’ve found that I am unable to vacuum two of my area rugs because the suction is too strong and it was to suck up the rugs and the vacuum stops because it detects something stuck in the brush. 2. My previous model made it super easy to get to the brush. Two button on the top of the vacuum near the brush would pop open like a lid and I could take the brush roller out to clean it off. This model has no such thing. I have to flip the entire vacuum over to get to the brush and it does not come out. 3. My previous one came with the following attachments: – hard floor attachment – upholstery attachment – skinny crevice attachment – brush attachment that spins when attached, which can be used to clean stairs, upholstery, vehicle carpeting, etc. This model only comes with: – upholstery attachment – skinny crevice attachment 4. The previous model worked decently well on hard floors without the hard floor attachment. This model literally will not pick up anything smaller than a dime on hard floors without the hard floor attachment tool, which this DOES NOT COME WITH. You have to purchase it separately. The only thing that has been improved in my opinion is that a light has been added to the handheld hose. Sharks are great vacuums, but this model is awful. I do not recommend at all!!Midge

I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy

I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. We purchased this vacuum about a month ago. I have had an electrolux canister for ever. It quit working, find out later head got clogged. Anyway this Kenmore vacuum works awesome on carpet, we have 6 med sized dogs 4 shed constantly. The pet attachment works nice on furniture. I dont care for it on hard surfaces though. The exhaust is to low and it blows the dog hair around before it can be sucked up. Been using my old vacuum for all the hard surfaces.Wendy Laesch

This was a re-certified model but it looks and performs like new and it included all the normal parts. The suction is so incredible that I need to dial it back if I'm using the hose around any lose fabric, like a bed skirt. It works great on carpet. As many have commented. the corrugated hose is stiff and short but that hasn't been an issue for me. This is a heavy vacuum so I had to adjust my technique to let the vacuum do the work vs just pushing it around. But, it's not much heavier that comparable models. The headlights are very good. The dirt indicator is interesting but I'm not sure what to think of it except to go over an area again if the light came on. Assembly was trivial (one screw). Some complained about the high cost of a replacement brush/motor unit but I've seen them online recently at reasonable cost (this was important to me). The power cord is longer than average but stiff, IMO; a minor inconvenience. I haven't used the pet hair attachment yet.ritcheyvs

Starting with the great stuff: Great suction. Big dirt canister, I can vacuum my whole house twice before emptying. Lip feature on around the brush roll keeps the dirt in when vacuuming on hard surfaces. Brush roll height option is always a plus with me. The handle on the canister makes for easier trips up the stairs. Not so great: Short bristles with a high powered brush roll motor, this causes me to use a lower setting on the height even though I have medium height carpet otherwise it didn't do a great job cleaning. This will cause small short strides to be really exhausting, you have to do long strides to make it worth it. I sweating after one room. Having it too low will also wear on the carpet fibers, my canister did show evidence of that. That design really only works with short carpets. The cord length is too short, I had to move it depending on the size of the room. The upholstery hand tool has a rubber end piece to make it better for pet hair but it's clip on. The rubber puts a lot of friction to catch the hair but because it's a clip on that this piece flies off constantly. Very frustrating. Overall, I did not think this vacuum is good for anyone who vacuums frequently. Small apartment with less traffic, infrequent vacuuming, and smaller carpet height would be a better fit. It does have a mean brush roll but that can wear on carpets. If they redesign the brush roll, I think it has potential.Hans C

Ordered a brand new vacuum cleaner, but received a used one, pictures attached. Customer Service did NOT offer a viable solution other than saying that I have to the vacuum cleaner into the store to receive a price adjustment or full refund. Why would you inconvenience a customer over something that was completely out of their control & caused by a warehouse mixup? The vacuum cleaner itself works well. Powerful suction and easy to change carpet pile settings. The vacuum cleaner does NOT have lights on it. That was an oversight on my part. There is a certain level of quality that most people have come to expect from the Hoover brand, and I can confidently say that the Windtunnel Max Capacity does not disappoint. The first time I used it I was really putting it to the test. My kids and nieces had been creating some art work and had managed to get glitter everywhere. All over the hardwood floor, area rug and sofa. I knew my old cordless would not be up to the job, so I thought I'd give the Windtunnel a try. I was absolutely shocked at how well it worked. Not only did it manage to pull these tiny pieces of glitter out of the cracks between the wood, it pulled dust and dirt from out of my area rug that I was amazed to see. I'd vacuumed it the day before and from the amount it pulled out, you'd have thought it had been two weeks. The reason I am giving it only 4 out of 5 stars is based on the weight, noise level and the cord. It is a heavy machine and at times was difficult to push when on the lowest mode (for hard floors). The noise level I found to be excessive, my kids run away when I turn it on, but I have been using a cordless and I find they are significantly quieter then most. The cord is not one that retracts and instead has to be manually wrapped back up. This is personal preference but it is something I tend to expect from most vacuums. All in all I would still highly recommend this vacuum to anyone who has carpet and hardwood combination and doesn't want the hassle of switching machines. The attachments for furniture cleaning are also great and store nicely on the vacuum itself. It provides a real deep cleaning, easy to empty and easy to switch depth levels. The Dirt Devil Power Swerve Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is great for any household with or without pets. In a house with 3 dogs, 1 cat, a rabbit and a 9-year old boy there is always something on my floors. I love how easy it is to use this vacuum, I just unplug and go. The battery is strong enough to cover my entire 1600+ square foot house in a quick clean. The suction is very powerful so I have to be careful with throw rugs. The swivel head makes getting into corners and around objects so much easier. This thing has been a lifesaver in keeping my floors clean with our busy lives.Klamn00

A bunch of dummies must have peed off Amazon by giving inaccurate reviews, because you can't give a review of this vac on Amazon any longer. But so impressed with this little vac, I'll post the review here. Assembling it is a piece of cake: Pop on the bottom roller; insert the handle and press down to lock it into place. You have to charge the vac up for a few hours before it's ready. After it was charged completely up, the battery lasted for 15 minutes or so on 1970's thick pile carpet. Before purchasing this little vac, we used a "Eureka The BOSS" for our family room. After 14 or 15 years of heavy use, it finally shot craps. It went on to wherever good vacuums go when they're ready for retirement. Back to the Dirt Devil: I ran "The BOSS" over 70% of the carpet just before it completely died 3 days ago. After charging, I ran the Dirt Devil over the same area today. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so you be the judge.Don

So disappointed in this. I purchased it yesterday. It took hours to charge fully. I charged it before I turned it on. Then it started shutting itself off while cleaning for a short time. Used it for 2 fifteen minute cleaning stretches. I emptied it twice because the suction was terrible. It’s been charging for hours again. Not even finish cleaning my main floor. Don’t recommend for any carpets. Ok for floors. I have a few small rugs in my porch for shoes, but doesn’t do a good job cleaning them. Light weight and easy to use. I really wanted to love this vac Pros: – Excellent for floors; gets most corner and crevice dirt with just the brush head; even gets up dust well (5 stars for floor cleaning) – Decent suction on carpet @ med speed; doesn’t always feel like it’s picking up, but it is (don’t expect vacuum lines though) – Brush head is small enough for steps – Extremely lightweight – Came with a wall mount kit, crevice tool and a combo brush tool – Can stand on its own when positioned correctly, so no need to lay the vac down first to pick up something off the floor (I wouldn’t store it that way around kids or pets as it doesn’t “lock” in an upright position) Cons: – Battery life: decent on floors, so so when vacuuming large area rugs, and terrible on carpet @ med speed (@ turbo, the timer goes so fast, you feel like you’re disarming bombs in the movie Die Hard) – You need backup batteries to vacuum a small fully carpeted apartment or detail a car – Combo brush wouldn’t stay fully extended in brush mode – Takes too long to charge (total “minute man”) – Need to maneuver the control unit to make sure the brush head stays flat when vacuuming under beds – Even if the brush head can fit under furniture, you may not be able to vacuum under the item as the brush head may be stopped by how it’s designed (to connect to the stick) – Owner’s manual would be better if it gave tips and trips for usage to save battery life while cleaning Overall: My whole downstairs is hardwood, so I got this vac for my floors, carpeted steps, and car. It’s vacuums floors very well and you can do most of the cleaning with just the regular brush head. I only used the combo brush and crevice tool for small or awkward spaces for floors. For carpet, you need the crevice tool for baseboards. Note: the slightest bump makes the combo brush tool disengage from brush position, which gets extremely annoying. It doesn’t get under the furniture that I hoped it would due to the design of the brush head; it would be stopped. When vacuuming under something, you will need to maneuver the top to make sure the brush head stays flat (I had to lay on the floor while vacuuming under my bed to keep it in the right position). I wouldn’t use this on carpet when I’m deep cleaning my home; just for quick cleaning. It picks up well enough on carpet @ med speed, however turbo gives a deeper clean but you couldn’t get more than a large area rug done at that speed before the battery died. (see pic – it took around 11 mins to vacuum my avg sized main bdrm – including under the king sized bed – @ med speed (actually dropped to 32 mins but I had to turn it on to take pic and it actually lost 4 mins, due to turning off and on, in the 30 secs I took to position correctly for a couple of pics bc I took the first one upside down). This unit is perfect for dorm rooms, or small apartments with more way more hardwood than carpet. Outside of that, if you stick to using it on floors, you won’t be disappointed. 1. A 2nd Battery should be Included with the intial purchase. High power suction is rarely USEFUL as it drains the Battery run-time MUCH TOO FAST to clean more than A VERY SMALL surface area. 2. The floor tool LEDs, are very "bright" to our eyes but only "Dimly & barely" light up more than even a few inches of floor. Those tool lights are placed too low, their lighting is too unfocused, and that also leaves the other tools with no lighting. Solution: 2a. Leave the LEDs ON the floor tool but also ADD a circular ring of LEDs to the main body of the vacuum. 2b. Use a lens to spot-focus ALL of the lights. Space them so the edges of each of their lighting areas slightly overlap. 2c. That would create high & low, mini-LED spotlights, with focused, overlapping lighting coverage, that is usable with every attachment & also more effective w/the floor tool. 3. Include a lights On/Off option. LEDs ARE efficient but, battery-run-time WILL be longer if the lights aren't needed & can be turned off. 3. Can that white filter be water rinsed & air dried? If not, Then, 3a. Publicize the cleaning steps necessary to re-clean it. 3b. Engineer a future, purchasable filter replacement that IS eithet water rinse-able & air dry-able OR, easily re-cleanable. (The following is a product Feature Request, for a future version of this vacuum. It is NOT a Criticism.) 4.Can future iterations/versions of this vacuum include 4a. additional internal sensors that would trigger the Wyze app to issue the following notifications via our (the customers) choice of Phone/Alexa/Google: 4b. "Replace Vacuum Battery!" (Rechargeable Battery capacity has dropped below "XY" Percent of Original 100% recharge capacity!) 4c. "Clean or Replace the White/HEPA Vacuum Filter!" (HEPA Filtration efficiency has dropped below HEPA standards!" If cleaning the filter eliminates this warmini-spotlights reducing avoidable waste. 5. Wyze has the opportunity to not only do good but, to also do well by, 5a. reducing their replacement item cost & enhancing their top line profit, thru the savings realized from 5b. Recycling ♻️ & Recovering ♻️ the reusuable parts of the returned batteries' chemicals via 5c. The returned HEPA filters' frames & paper coming back in thru the Mailers. I have had a Hoover Windtunnel since 2012 and love it. This vacuum is terrible. It has good suction but………When it is in the Upright position so you can use the attachments the roller brush does not shut off. It ruins your carpet! It actually was smelling like something was burning. I think the belt was slipping. Bad engineering to not have the roller brush shut off in the upright position. What kind of idiot would say yes to a design like this? Our Windtunnel shuts off in the upright position. Tried to call Hoover….was told they were closed on a Thursday, I Was told in a recording to go online which I did but chat said they were closed and to call them. PING PONG affect going on here. DUMB….. Then on Friday was on hold 2 hrs before it cut me off. Called back, pressed the prompt for a call back and never got one the entire day and still no call back. Today is Monday called again and again We are closed after going through all the prompts to wait for an agent. Went online to chat and actually got someone named Honey B who was a bit rude saying we are open, just busy. So there is a difference of being closed and saying busy hang on….. Then when I told about the problem we had I was told to talk to who makes our carpet. Pass the buck Hoover on poor engineering huh????. You should never have a vacuum that the brush spins and spins when it's in one place. This vacuum was made to use attachments so put the rollers into idle please while using them. You will wear out your carpet and wear out your vacuum belt. Hoover will try everything I'm sure to cover our damaged carpet….SO BUYER beware. FORGET this vacuum. Its junk. PLUS the dial to lift the vacuum head up really does nothing. It's a joke. And when emptying the canister, it fell off the hinges. Seriously, I will never recommend Hoover again. They have gone down hill..You do get what you pay for. And this one is best left on the shelf.Larry59

I grew up using Hoover products and have used them my entire adult life. I researched all brands/models before replacing our older Hoover. We decided on this vacuum due to having three cats and it's excellent reviews. The first time I vacuumed with it, I loved it. I actually still love it's vacuuming capabilities (after using it a month). The fault with this product lies in the fact that as soon as you turn on the vacuum, the brush turns at a very high speed (while vacuum is still in upright position) and the brush doesn't stop until you turn off the vacuum, regardless of floor setting or if you are using the upholstery/stair attachments. I've never had a vacuum like this before and being that it's specifically designed for pet owners, the fact that the brush turns when the upholstery attachments are in use baffles me. While trying to vacuum our couch the brush actually wore on our carpet and heated it to the point of melting after less than a minute. I tried manipulating the vacuum and leaning it back off the carpet while using the attachment but that is just way too much effort. We tried it on all floor settings including hard floor with the same results. Honestly, the brush shouldn't turn until the handle is released for vacuuming so I'm not exactly sure why it was made this way. I returned it thinking I had a faulty vacuum and exchanged it for the same model (it does vacuum really well), and the second vacuum did the same, so I must assume it's simply a design flaw. So if your pet's don't shed on furniture or stairs I recommend this model, otherwise It pains me to say that I don't recommend it.Cat mom of three

Well, it seems to do ok but there are some things that make me wonder why they were designed the way they were. The on switch should be up at the top of the handle instead of being a foot switch where the reclining lever used to be for something like 100 years of Hoover vacuums. To recline the handle now requires I reach around with my foot and step on the front of the machine while forcing the handle down. It's very awkward and silly to change a design that worked for a century. And the rug height adjustment is a little touchy. I set it around medium and started vacuuming a very low rug and didn't know the belt was slipping until I smelled rubber burning. Oops. Once I learned to dial the height properly the vacuum does a pretty good job of cleaning pet hair and dirt from carpet. I had been vacuuming with a shop vac and thought my rugs were fairly clean, but the Hoover with the spinning brushes managed to pull out a lot more dirt that I missed. Emptying the canister is straightforward. I take it outside and blow it with a leaf blower. I can't imagine getting it sufficiently clean any other way without using water. Overall it's a marvel of engineering that performs its job very well, but with a couple very obvious design blunders that renders it a bit awkward to use.Randal

Heavy, very hard to pull back because of forward pull of brush rolls. Puts of a lot of heat, even cord was warm after 5 minutes of vacuuming. It picks up pet hair pretty well. Unit is not fully sealed because I could smell the dust as I used it. Hard to fit pieces back together such as dust cup and lift away section. Upholstery tool is a joke, didn't pull any hair from my couch other than what was on the little velcro like bristle strip on edge of tool. Give it a pass and go for the older versions, I returned it.Tammy

I am such an over thinker. I read review after review and was on the fence until I finally picked the Shark Duo Clean, and let me tell you this thing is a Machine! I was so excited to try it out that once it arrived and out it together (this was a breeze) and went to work on carpets first and MAN O MAN I was blown away at how clean and fluffy they looked after just one go over!!! Moving on to hardwood floors and I think that just sealed the deal for me!!! It is a little heavy to push on carpet but nothing that would turn you away from it. Glided right over my hard wood floors picking up the littlest pieces of sand with little to no effort. I love how easy it is to turn and it fits perfectly under bed, ledges and couches. This machine is my new best friend! Don't sleep on it buy it!!!!!CaseyB

Worse sweeper ever. Bought it online from Shark site. I am on here so no one else will make the mistake. I bought two as my son did the research for reviews and they were great. He did not look to see how many were the result of a free sweeper so that was not good either. It is heavy, hard to maneuver. if you run it very long like several rooms you will have to take the rollers off and try to cut out the pet hair that is in them stopping them and turning on the red light to let you know they are not working. Then you have to get tweezers to pull the hair out. Now I am out almost $800 as I did not return it timely since I was recovering from surgery so found out too l late. Now saving to buy a real sweeper. My Dyson was great with pets and was not bought for that reason as I had no pets but once a bunny was introduced it worked great. After 12 years it finally gave out.Sandra

They are SO maneuverable and easy to use, great suction, etc. However, both of them, now, after 5-7 years of use, just stop working. It turns on, but for some reason the suction has diminished greatly and after a few minutes, the emergency release valve gets activated as if it's stuck on something or overheating (I don't know which). It literally worked one second and not the next. I can't find anything stuck in it anywhere, and cleaning it out didn't help. So like I said, it's fantastic for the money at this price point, and I will probably get another one. Just expect to have to replace it every 5-7 years." Me too. Being an electronics person, I saw the wires going from the motor to the board were severed after insulation degraded at 5 years of use. I cut and spliced and got extra use for a bit. I am probably going to buy another one because when it works it's great but with reservations as to how good of a value it really is.Deborah

I am like many consumers- I study the reviews left from others who felt compelled to write a review (either bcuz the product is garbage and they feel like they should be neighborly and warn others- or, bcuz they are thoroughly impressed by their experience using the product that they want to reassure others that this particular product does not disappoint. I am writing the first review I’ve ever felt compelled to write bcuz of how impressed I am with this model of the Shark Navigator. I’ve lived in the same house for 14 years- every room but the kitchen and bathrooms are carpeted.. 2 kids, a dog, crappy vacuum after crappy vacuum and you can imagine the dust/dirt that has been sitting at the bottom of the carpet due to past vacuums not performing well. I just bought a Hoover vacuum with great reviews during prime days a couple weeks ago- that vacuum was a huge improvement from the last however many but, it’s canister and filter design is not good. After getting my new Shark navigator today, I was ridiculously excited to vacuum (I really need to get out more, ha!). After a few passes in my living room, the very spacious canister had so much dog fur and dirt in it, I wanted to get sick- how could my carpets be THAT bad? I vacuum every other day and use my carpet shampooer at least every 3 weeks! This vacuum has excellent suction, excellent design and is most definitely my happily ever after… as far as vacuums go!SuzTay

I just received my Shark Navigator Swivel Pro Complete and am very satisfied. It has great suction on carpets and hard flooring. It was easy to assemble and is very lightweight. The handle on the canister makes it easy to carry, especially up and down stairs. My only issue was with the Pet Power Brush attachment. I found that if you hold it level on furniture, the brush stops turning. It was easily fixed by angling the attachment just off the surface of the furniture. Also, I wish there was a tool storage post for the Pet Power Brush. I use it more than the crevice tool, but it won't fit on the storage posts currently on the vacuum.beagler

We have 2 cats (one black fur, one white fur. So no hiding their shedding). For the price this vacuum is awesome. It picks up dirt and pet hair well (both from shaggy and short carpet). I love the upholstery attachment. It does wonders getting all the cat hair stuck in the couch cushions out. When they say that hair won’t wrap around the brush, they are speaking the truth. On my previous vacuum I had to cut the hair out twice a week. For this one I haven’t had any hair wrap around the brush yet! If I had anything negative to say it would be that it’s a little heavier to push and handle and the plastic parts are not as good of a quality as the $400 shark I’ve had before. But that’s nitpicking and comparing it to something's more than twice the price. If you have owned really expensive vacuums before, yeah, it’s noticeable that this one isn’t a $400+ vacuum, but it vastly exceeded my expectations.Formercouchpotato

This vacuum is just ok at best. When I first used it, it worked fine. I had to get used to the settings for the different types of flooring in my house. It always left a burning plastic smell if I used it on my carpets, but I could never find a reason. I just figured the motor was overheating and would only use it in 10 minute increments. (Which is beyond inefficient. As a single mom, I don't have all day to wait for the vacuum to cool down). After a few uses, the stair attachment (a cheap plastic, horribly designed attachment at that) did not work despite my best attempts to fix it. Next, the brush on the crevice tool started falling off so it was useless. Finally, after vacuuming my bedroom one day, the vacuum began shaking violently when in use. After examining it, the brush roller was melted and not connecting to the vacuum properly. I guess that explains the burning smell. I can either replace the roller, or get a new vacuum. I am going to use the motor and parts to build the kids some gadgets, and I'm going to spend the extra few dollars for a Dyson.Sweet Jane

I pride myself on being a clean person and like to think I'm on top of things in my home but this vacuum should come with a warning, "Be Prepared to Be Grossed Out." I was not ready to witness what was living in my carpets!! After years of pushing around what I assumed was a good vacuum from a different brand I decided to upgrade and I regret not doing it sooner. I'll admit I wasn't too impressed when I unboxed this unit but once started I changed my mind. This vacuum is powerful and easy to handle. The suction power is STRONG and you'll feel it right away even when using the Turbo Eraser but I promise the proof is in the waste cup. #sweepstakes because I truly love this vacuum and need more Bissell products in my life.Debbie
