Hello, I received my Dirt Devil RV Central Vacuum today. Upon un-packing and checking contents it appears that I only received approximately 5' of the remote installation hose. The item description on your web-site says: "Installation kit includes – flex connector kit, 9' remote hose, brown inlet valve, mounting plate, inlet valve wire & mounting hardware." I tried stretching the hose but it doesn't come close to 9' in length. Is the description wrong on your web-site or is the "kit" I received short 4+ feet of hose? Everything else in the order was correct and included. I would appreciate this error being corrected. Your web-site does show an optional 9' installation hose that is available. Thank you DanDaniel K

Moved from Sweden to US a few months ago and was annoyed with the traditional vacuum cleaner we had here, having having to maneuver a heavy and loud motor and not being able to reach underneath furniture. Was driving me crazy and it felt like it was blowing out more dust than it picked up. The Tritan vacuum is very efficient and I was actually surprised by the high quality and power of the motor considering this is not a very expensive machine. It really does the job and with the included attachments it works for any cleaning need. The only downside to it is that I would have liked the electric cord to be a bit longer for better range, but it works well anyway. Many years ago there was a Swedish brand of Vacuum cleaners called "Elektrolux" and they had a slogan "Nothing sucks like an Elektrolux". I would change that now to "Nothing sucks like a Prolux". 🙂Anthony76
I really wanted to love this vacuum, but will have to return it, in spite of the suction being awesome. The suction is as good or better than my Shark vacuums. I needed a good HEPA canister vacuum that would work well on my hard surface floors, window shades/blinds and walls/ceilings. I was disappointed to find that even though there is a HEPA filter, the bags are not HEPA bags. I haven't determined, yet,if the vacuum is sealed well enough, to avoid dispersing dust back into the room. Additionally, the bristles on the hard floor brush are so stiff and scratchy, I am reluctant to use it on my hardwood floors. Unfortunately, none of my better attachments, from my previous vacuums, fit the Tritan. I need to be able to vacuum my walls and ceilings, but the floor brush is not suitable for that either. I would like to be able to comfortably (and safely) vacuum the tops of door frames and window shades and blinds, without using the extension tube. But , the stiff hose does not stretch and is too short to directly attach the dust brush and reach overhead, to the top of my door frames. Back to the drawing board for me, as the Tritan Canister is just not suitable for my needs.C.B.

When I moved and left behind my latest upright as a gift to the buyer of my house, I had to find a new vacuum. One that would last. One that could suck up dog hair from my Australian Shepherd. One that was maneuverable and could also clean my truck's interior. When I saw the ad for the Prolux Triton I was taken by how absolutely cute it is. I love its retro looks, like a 50's space ship with chrome and a sleek shape. I love the design of the retractable cord, its maneuverability and the very very powerful motor. I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy
I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I am so so so bummed and wish I would have returned this while I had the chance. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY PICKS UP DOG HAIR.Megan
I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. I have always wanted to own a cordless vacuum and now this Black and Decker Power Series Extreme cordless stick vacuum is making my life so easy. I like the fact that it’s lightweight and easy to handle. I can easily carry it around my house with least effort. Being cordless I no more have to struggle with wires. The dustbin is removable and can easily be emptied. The handle can be detached from the brush of you just need to use the stick to clean the corners or crevices. The anti tangle brush bar is something I am happy about. The vacuum is powerful and sucks dust and dirt very well. Great for both hardwood floors and also carpet. The LED light is the best feature especially when the places are poorly lit the LED light helps in cleaning up the spots and makes my house more clean. The battery holds good for about one hour. And I own several black and decker lawn tools so I mix and match my batteries and that’s really a plus point. Definitely is much less noisy compared to other vacuums. I've had a lot of bad luck with cordless vacuums in my life. They generally lack enough power to accomplish anything you'd want them to. The POWERSERIES Extreme Cordless Stick Vacuum, however, has not left me feeling disappointed! I have a mixture of hard floor, low pile carpet, and medium pile carpet throughout my house. The high pile carpet does not benefit much from this cordless vacuum, but for spot cleaning the short pile carpet, this thing can do the trick if I put it on "MAX" speed (although it's a bit loud at that level). But where this thing really shines for me is on hard floor. Even on the lowest speed, it hasn't had any problems picking debris up off my hard flooring. The biggest highlight was when I discovered that it fits beneath my couch!! The couch only has a 3-inch clearance, so it becomes a black hole that gathers all kinds of junk: leaves, dust, dog hair, dropped food, etc… To clean under there, I've always had to lift up the couch and move it out of the way. But this cordless vacuum allows me to clean underneath it completely, without moving the couch at all!! Talk about a win! It also has some handy features, which I'll list off below. Item received is very small, attachments are all grey. Did not come with a storage bag as shown. It comes with a cheap mesh bag like what you get when you buy 5 lbs of potatoes. Vacccuum itself is grey and red and is not the dustbuster model shown in the image. Vac is light weight and flimsy. The model number on the paper manual does match the model number vac and box apparently they updated the vac to this new cheaper piede of junk and didnt change the picture. The only reason im not returning it is i had a gift card i needdd to use and there is nothing else i want to order.

I really like my Bissell rug cleaner but this CleanView Pet Slim Corded Vacuum, not so much. Don't like the way it doesn't stand up on it's own. The button to release the dirt cup is in an awkward spot. Don't like the dust cup because if you handle it the wrong way, the dirt falls out of a hole (which is where the dirt enters in the first place). The "head" is floppy. It doesn't stay up (like a Shark) where you have to push down on it. There is really no place to grab and carry it comfortably, especially for a short person (which I am). I am on the lookout for a new stick vacuum. I should have sent this one back but it's too late now.Nancy
We have dogs and cats with bare floors so hair is a big issue in our home. I purchased this vac as a replacement for cordless vacs that I am constantly having to buy. They quickly lose their suction and battery power so this time i went with a corded vac. I own a kirby, I love it for my deep down cleaning but is so cumbersome for my daily (yes daily) vac of my home. The cord is long enough that i only need to use 2 outlets to vac 4 bdrms 2 baths kitchen and 2 living areas. Plenty long enough! Love the cord length! Suction is great. The edge pulls debri (I mean dirt, dust and lottsa hair) from the edges of my baseboards and from under furniture edges. This vac has 2 settings 1-suction only, 2-suction with brush roll. I first assumed being that I have bare floors, that i can vac w/ just the suction. However when it was powered on I had lifted the vac head then switched to brush roll while it was in mid air, POOF, all sorts of hair went flying everywhere. Apparently static caused hair to stick to the "undercarriage" of the vac head. I now vac my bare floors w/ brush roll going. The vac head sits quite close to the floor so when I vac my exterior door mats and rugs some get sucked/sealed to vac head making it difficult to vac. Perhaps maybe wheel adjustment to keep this from happening. I now just broom those that i cant vac. Pitty. The tube does not extend or get shorter. Its kind of a hassle when im trying to vac in tighter spaces. Another thing that I love about this vac is the it lays completely flat completely parallel to the floor w/o the vac head lifting up like most vacs do. So the reach under furniture like beds, desks and tables goes as far as up to the dirt canister. Another issue, when i must remove the vac head to use tube only, the hook to where the cord gets wrapped around gets in the way of me wanting to reach tight places. Why cant cords get wrapped at the top portion of vac not all the way down its shaft. Canister is larger, big plus!sylvia
We ordered this particular model on Amazon via The Bissell Store (still as of 2022) after seeing the owner's commitment to helping local animal shelters. Only after contacting customer service did we find out this is actually a discontinued model with many problems.
The roller bar itself started burning after 11 uses or 3 months so we returned it to Bissell. The replacement lasted only a month before it too started to smoke & leave marks on the roller bar.
We only use this on our hardwood floors, and three large wool area rugs yet this is the worst vacuum we've ever owned.
Now returning for a second time. We have been told, that "the latest" version or Model 28311 does not have the same problems.

We really wanted to like it. It's attractive, low profile, lightweight and super convenient. It has all the tools you'd ever want. But after 3 weeks of light use it's sucking power has dropped dramatically, and it's performance is lacklustre. As an example, it's started having trouble picking up crumbs without them all falling out of the unit into the floor again once you turn it off. We love the concept of a stick vaccum and would reccomend to anyone. Just not this particular one. We're going to return it and find a more powerful unit.Ryan
Love this vacuum! It’s lightweight manoeuvres super easy and has great suction. The battery runs on the lowest setting for 30mins! But I do recommend buying another battery which makes it even better if you use the vacuum on the other settings. I use it on hardwood and low pile rugs and it picks up all the different sizes of kitty litter from around the tray. It does seem a little flimsy in some areas where it feels like it could snap almost. But overall best vacuum by far!LilB
We have a small home with birds and a dog. Most floors are laminate with two carpeted areas and one area rug. The price point and reviews online were positive. This is the only vacuum that picks up my dog’s hair on the first pass. We have a Dalmatian with all the short white hairs. Vac is quiet. Half as loud as my prior upright Oreck. Vac is also appropriately sized and rolls well enough; wheels could be a little smoother. I appreciate that I can store it flat or tipped standing up in my closet. Customer service was excellent and responded quickly- videos are helpful and when I still had questions they helped immediately via email. Nice that this vacuum seems sturdy and has some metal parts. Agree w others that it is hard to detach the power carpet head in order to put the bare floor attachment on. It is a very snug detach. Sometimes I just turn the power head off and vacuum all surfaces that way. The different suction levels are appreciated for all the little kitchen rugs and works well for different pile heights of my larger 8’x10’ rugs. I vacuum very frequently due to the dog hair and this has solved my area rug and bare floor needs. Appreciate the extra hidden tools that were included under the ‘hatch. I ordered extra bags separately; I couldn’t tell in advertising info if vac came with any/or how many. Vac arrived in lge box, well packed and protected, with instruction sheet and video links. 😊 Vac came with one bag installed already plus an extra. And HEPA filter already installed of course. I’ve done a lot of research and shopping looking for a vacuum that could keep up with my 3300 square-foot house and my never ending shedding fur babies. I’ve had at least four, across 3 well known brands, none of which stood up to the test. I came across this particular vacuum ( Prolux TerraVac ) and said OK I’ll try this. WOW, not only was I able to vacuum in half the time, it also picked up all of the pet hair under the coffee table and dining room table. I am so pleased and amazed with the features that this vacuum comes with. The versatility of this vacuum is amazing. The suction power is awesome – I love the fact that I’m able to move from carpet to hardwood without bending down and changing the settings. I simply just press the button on the sweeper with my foot and that’s it. The attachment for pet hair (OMG) Is like no other. I was able to do two flights of stairs in under five minutes. Normally it would take me 10 to 20 minutes. I will also mention how quiet it is. Compared to the other vacuums that are out there this vacuum is quiet. This is my second Prolux vacuum and a disappointment. First, to sing its praises, it has great suction and attacks any and all dust bunnies and dog hair, which is what you want in a quality vacuum. BUT, the attachments are extremely difficult to trade out. It's a struggle changing them. Even my husband, who has a lot more arm muscle, has difficultly. The hose, admittedly on the shorter side, is very "stiff" making maneuvering the vacuum a struggle. Vacuuming has never been a favorite pastime so whatever can make it easier is welcome. I now find myself doing a double groan when it's time to use it. I've actually thought of exploring a hose replacement but maybe it comes down to finding another vacuum (only purchased this past fall!)L.U.

I would rather lick my floors clean than spend my hard earned money on such a useless piece of equipment again. I have previously had a Bosch and Phillips stick vac and both were great but struggled to sustain enough battery to do my whole house. I purchased the Ryobi one as I loved the changeable battery idea. It sucks hair & dog hair fine… but if you want to see anything else get cleaned up… buy a different unit. It takes great delight in picking up everything larger than 2ml and spitting it directly behind you leaving a wake of rubbish confetti. I just love looking up my hallway and seeing what looks like the ants version of a festival clean up. This is the single most useless piece of equipment I own.Jazmin
I've purchased this vacuum once and am having replaced under warranty for a third time for the same reason. The brush motor head keeps burning out, rendering it useless. Overall: The vacuum has subpar suction if the brush is in place but not spinning. Removing the brush allows for much better suction on hard surfaces (which is great when the motor is dead) The dustbin is always clogged which means reduced suction and more frequent emptying. The unit is generally heavy to lug around. The attachments are loose fitting and fall out if you look at them wrong. Runtime varies between 20-40 minutes (with brush vs without) The warranty replacement is fantastic. I can't in good conscience recommend this product to anyone.Rollie
So firstly I ordered this Ryobi stick online and the Bunnings service was exceptional. I thought I'd try a Ryobi because I have quite a few other Ryobi products and batteries. Well WOW – this thing absolutely sh….ts on my other well known cyclonic stick vacuum that cost me over $1000 and now needs a new main body after its done barely any work in the 3 years I've had it. The Ryobi has strong suction, literally picks up everything, it is comfortable to to hold, really easy to manoeuvre as it has a better slightly smaller sized head. I used a 2.5amp battery because it was lighter and I still vacuumed for ages. I wouldn't say its overly noisy, that motor is working hard to lift floor debris. As this product develops, the method for emptying of the dirt barrel could be addressed but this unit is magic and Ive recommended this to all my friends – big thumb up.Heidi

Works great! I own the other style handheld Dewalt vacuum and purchased this one for use in my camper van due to the attachments. The bristled brushes cleans molding without scratching it. This vacuum has good suction and decent capacity. It seems best suited as a small projects vacuum to be kept near your pantry, garage, or around your cars. The tube is sized to fit common small diameter shop vacuum hoses and accessories, so it's nice to not be tied to one proprietary set of fittings. According to the documentation, the filter needs to be knocked clean and can't be blown out with an air hose. It sucked up fine wood dust without redistributing it in the air, but emptying the filter was a little of a pain. It's compatible with all the DeWalt batteries I have, from 1.5 to 6 AH. The motor noise is loud, a little louder than my previous cheapo dust buster, but only slightly. Overall I'm quite happy with this vacuum and hope the long term durability justified the price tag.LTools
I've waited years for DeWalt to make this exact product. I have all the batteries I need and don't need to pay $399 for a Dyson that I have only two 1.5ah batteries on hand to deal with. This vacuum is perfect for around the house, cleaning hard surfaces with the floor attachment, and detailing cars. I will warn anyone that expects a bit too much of a compact vacuum, this will not clean your carpets. The Craftsman V20 cordless handheld vacuum packs a punch for a handheld vac it’s pretty powerful and this sucker is heavy thanks to the V20 4.0 AH lithium battery (although the battery does not come with the box it’s sold separately) Compared to other handheld vac‘s this is definitely more powerful and works much better and of course convenience great for the car workshop stairsteps things of that nature you don’t want to lug around a vacuum or a shop vac. It had a great suction with a crevice tool although it didn’t come with any other attachments it really doesn’t need them. I was surprised it wasn’t obnoxiously loud and the canister was a decent size to hold in between emptying. I purchased this vacuum a couple months ago. It was great at first, very lightweight and powerful, battery lasted a good while on medium, fairly short runtime on High speed, but that's to be expected and comparable to other brands from what I hear. I had an issue with the stick though, the little plastic tab that keeps the stick attachment connected to the vacuum had sheared off somehow. It didn't prevent me from being able to use the vacuum, but it would fall apart sometimes when I hung it on the wall or took it up the steps. I contacted support via email, they got back with me within a few days and asked for a picture, then a short video of the damage. After that, they arranged for me to send my defective product (in full) back for a replacement. I sent mine back a few days later when I was able to get to the post office, and about a week later I received a brand new vacuum. Support was great, although responses usually came in the middle of the night from them. Overall though, it was very positive, despite not having a vacuum for about a week. They were very understanding and were easy to understand in their emails. Hopefully the vacuum will not break again any time soon
I really am linking this for a quick vacuum. Pros light weight charges fairly quickly, roller is easy to clean, easy empty canister. The attachments are quick to interchange and low profile head fits under most furniture. Lights on head so you can make sure to get all the dirt. Great of fabric sofa for dog hair. Cons: when using the power boost battery depletes quickly. Would be nice if it came with second battery so I could do the whole house 1700sq ft without having to recharge. Lint and dust get caught on the little flap going into the canister and need to be cleaned frequently when emptying the canister. Overall an happy with purchase would consider trying other products from eufy.

Once I do carpet, I turn it on max and notice the battery drains a lot more. So if you live in a large house, with a decent mix of carpet and hard floors, it might not be able to go through the place in a single charge. As far as just needing to focus on a single living area without needing to haul a large corded vacuum, it’s very nice to have. I think the price does justify what you’re getting but if you live in a large house with a lot of carpet and you’re the type that likes to vacuum the whole house in a single go, this vacuum alone might not workout.

I have been using this garage vac for a few weeks and found it has been really convenient. It comes with a great set of attachments and we love the long hose and cord. It is great for cleaning out cars. We mounted it towards the front of our garage so we could easily get to cars in the driveway with the hose, but is also nice that it comes off the mount quickly so we can take it inside. We like it for cleaning the stairs. This unit has a lot more suction than any in-house vacuum we have ever used, but doesn't replace my 6 gallon shop vacuum simply because that can pick up more and heavier debris. It's the most easy to use shop vac I've ever had . If I need to vac something up right away and get back to what I was doing before , I don't have to mess with plugging it in or adding extension cords . Going to use it for cleaning chip pan on metal lathe and T-slots on my milling table . I may have to dedicate a filter cartridge for oily metal chips due to cutting oil . I use it on my drill press for metal chips and wood chips . Makes clean up done in seconds . Have had this Vac for 2 weeks and have used it almost every day in my small shop . I would like to add an extension to the hose for a longer reach . This way you can carry the vac in one hand and vac at floor level without bending over . I purchased this unit to compliment my large Rigid wet/vac so I wouldn't have to lug that beast around for small jobs around the house and garage. Uses my existing Hercules batteries and chargers and has plenty of power. I use it with a wand extension kit I had to get into small areas my house vac doesn't reach easily, especially under and behind furniture, crevices, baseboards, crown molding (I have 10' ceilings), around toilets, and for wet spills on my wood flooring. It's lightweight and easy to handle and store. A bonus I didn't really purchase it for was the blower function. I purchased this for my boat as I can’t use a power cord out in the middle of the lake. Suction is adequate and really cleaned up my 20 ft. Bow rider with ease. I use it in my camp to clean hard to get at areas you can’t maneuver a bigger vac. Works great in the car as well. Wish it had a crevice tool and dust brush. Purchased the 5 amp battery pack and it really works well. I had a hard time telling the difference in performance when using either plug in cord or the battery. This vacuum works really well. It’s easy to maneuver and does a great job getting all the dirt. Taking the floor head off and using the pole to get into the edges is a dream compared to using a regular upright vacuum (I always seemed to go too far with the hose and knock over the vacuum). The canister is on the small side, but I only have carpet in 1 room and some area rugs so it’s not an issue for me. Never seemed to work that great on the hardwood floors. It spits everything it picks up out the back or falls back on the floor when I lift the vacuum up. This vacuum has so many features from carpeting, upholstery to hardwood! When I opened the box I was a little overwhelmed seeing all of the pieces but after looking through them it was explanatory what each piece was for. The filter looks like its just packaging and I thought it did not contain one in the box. But it is two pieces one is made of foam. Its easy to clean out the filter box where everything that's sucked up is contained. Just a simple click over the trash to release it. Its a great vacuum, so light and moves so quickly across the floors with a powerful suction. Comes with a dust mop attachment to use on hard wood floors. When using the dust mop piece it makes my hardwood floors sparkle. On rugs it lifts dirt that I thought I had gotten up with my regular vacuum its amazing. I thought it would be cumbersome to use because the motor is held mostly in your hand but its not a problem at all. It has interchangeable parts that can reach my venting fans in my bathroom very easily. Its very flexible and glides right under beds which are usually tough spots to reach. I was in need of another handheld vacuum because my parrot would growl and fluff up at the Dirt Devil handheld vacuum that I had so I didn't want to stress her out by continuing to use it. I read a lot of good reviews on this, and that several reviewers used it to pick up the seeds around their birds cage so that is why I decided on this one. I've used it twice, and my parrot still growled at it..lol Overall, it is a nice handheld, compact, light, and powerful. The cord is very long, and it comes with several attachments. My only complaint with the product itself is the air blowing out the sides, was blowing things around. Now, when BISSELL shipped this, they slapped a shipping label on the side of the box, and sent it off to FedEx to deliver it so everyone seen what it was and anyone could have taken it. It rained the day that it was delivered so the box was wet from sitting at my front door however everything still worked. I've been in contact with BISSELL customer service regarding this.
I bought this hand vacuum for my very independent 88 year old mother so she could 'tidy up her house'. She's had other brands of hand vacs before & was very disappointed in them. She absolutely loves her Bissell CleanView! It is light enough for her to work with and the curved handle makes it easy for her to hold. I just got the vacuum so haven't used it too much yet. I bought it to pick up crumbs, dust, hair, and general stuff on my kitchen floor around my sink, refrigerator, and dishwasher. This area tends to accumulate debris and I wanted something to pick this up easily. I wanted a vacuum with a cord because I think they have more power than the rechargeable battery models. So the CleanView is really portable, has lots of power, and can be stored easily so I can get to it when I want to spiff things up. So far I'm quite pleased with it BUT really need to use it several more times before making a final decision. The quality, durability, power, portability, and weight all seem to be great.

For me, the PowerClean, Wet and Dry Drum Vacuum is easier to use than a traditional shop vac. While not as big and bulky as many shop vacs, the PowerClean enabled me to clean our basement, which did have spots of water (there is a removable filter for wet pickup). I would buy the PowerClean as it had a big metal drum, it has good attachments, it rolls much better than and is not nearly as loud as our shop vac. The suction was pretty good for the most part, but I think that was because the hose is not as large as they typically are for shop vacs. I would still recommend the PowerClean, Wet and Dry Drum Vacuum to others for the above reasons, but rated it lower for the following reasons: – the cord could be longer (you will most likely need an extension cord) – the hose is a smaller in diameter than a traditional shop vac – there is no place to put the attachments or the hose when not in use
Having a house full of messy boys and a shedding cat can be hard especially when you have hard wood floors that are always sticky and dusty . And carpet that always needs to be vacuumed. I recently received the Bissel Power Clean wet and dry vacuum. Let to me tell its the best cleaner out ! Its lightvweight easy to use . It has a long cord and all the attachments are perfect for the hard to reach places. My floors look brabd new and and carpet looks like it was just installed. It has a powerful suction aswell. To start with I received this for free to review and had not previously heard of or seen the Bissell PowerClean, Wet and Dry Drum Vacuum. I have two dogs and two cats in my household, along with tile, hardwood, and carpeted floors. The vacuum works really well on the hardwoods and tile flooring picking up whatever is in it's path, but it's not as effective on the carpet. The small wheels on the attachment for carpet do not glide easily along the carpet. The downside with it picking up dog hair is that the floor attachment does not spin, and long dog hair just gets caught in the bristles and has to be manually removed. It does have excellent suction, but is a little louder than a normal vacuum, but to be fair, vacuums are loud. I also tried this out in my car, and it did an excellent job with the different attachments getting into the crevices and getting up debris. While I like the idea of the indoor wet/dry shop vac, it's a lot bulkier than my regular vacuum and makes storing difficult. It only has two spots for storing attachments, and this vacuum comes with several more (brush, crevice, wet floor, dry floor, plus the extension). There are few improvements that I think could be made, but overall is a decent product. Personally, due to the bulkiness and none rolling feature on the floor attachment, I will not be replacing my current vacuum with this particular product.

I used to have a Bissell Healthy Home 5770, and this is a huge step down. The one improvement it has is that the power button is not near the handle, so I don't keep accidentally turning it off. For perspective on the following, my house is 1200 sq ft of wood floor with one 5×8 area rug. The negatives are: – Single side suction – It is so lightweight that it doesn't stick to the floor when I'm driving it along the rug. – The dust bin is too small, and not easy to empty. The debris can get stuck in crevices, requiring complete dis-assembly of the bin to empty. I had to handle very dusty parts to remove all of the contents. – The power cord is too short. – The hose is WAY too short. Specs say 6 feet, but it is about 3 when not stretched. Any amount of stretching topples the lightweight vacuum. – The extender attachment is also extremely short. Even with the crevice tool attached I have to bend all the way over to reach baseboards, and I am only 5'1". – The way the hose plugs into the vacuum housing is not very secure, and the port seems flimsy like it will break if I plug it in too firmly. – Bare floor setting is not low enough. – Beater continues to rotate even when I am using the hose & attachments – Overall seems flimsy The positives: – Cool color – Power switch not on the handle – Has a turbo brush, great for upholstery Overall, this might be good for a small apartment with all wood or tile flooring (except the bare floor setting is too high).Susan
I just received my vacuum two days ago. I have used it twice. It definitely has the sucking ability. no hair got stuck in the bristles. I could not believe how much stuff it picked up off my floor, I have vinyl with large area rugs. It's probably the best vacuum I've ever had. I read several reviews before buying this because I needed a vacuum for pet hair and for three women with long hair and a house. I Have burned through several vacuums that could not handle Any amount of hair it was always going around the bristles and burning up my vacuum if I didn't clean it out every couple of days. So to know that this just swept it through right into the little container and I can just empty it right into the trashcan, makes me very very happy. The only thing I can say is a con is that the vacuum is a little heavy, other than that this is the best purchase I've ever made.
When I first got this vacuum I was head over heels for it. Now, almost two years later, I'm wondering if it's finally time to find a replacement. It's definitely a great vacuum for homes with a lot of carpet (such is the case with my townhome), but I couldn't tell you how many times this thing has fallen over and hit me while I was using the hose/TurboBrush! My previous Bissell (lasted 19 years) had a hook at the bottom for the hose so the whole thing would stay upright, but this newer model lacks that much needed safety feature. Suction power is great, but you can definitely notice a drop once your bin starts getting full — Especially if you haven't cleaned it out completely by taking it apart and getting all the fine dust that gets stuck near the top / cyclonic area. Also make sure you clean the foam filter! I vacuum almost every day and wash mine every week. Both filters get replaced every 2-3 months. Not impressed with the TurboBrush, since it basically doesn't spin if you put any pressure on it. I also have to keep taking it apart to fix the paddle wheel, which sticks after a while because fine hair gets wrapped around the small metal rods that hold it up. Avoid if you have mostly bare floors. The base brush doesn't stop spinning, so debris comes flying back at you. I just use a broom to sweep things to the edges and suck it up with the hose.April
