Best Vacuum For Uneven Slate Floors (2024 Update)

We really wanted to like it. It's attractive, low profile, lightweight and super convenient. It has all the tools you'd ever want. But after 3 weeks of light use it's sucking power has dropped dramatically, and it's performance is lacklustre. As an example, it's started having trouble picking up crumbs without them all falling out of the unit into the floor again once you turn it off. We love the concept of a stick vaccum and would reccomend to anyone. Just not this particular one. We're going to return it and find a more powerful unit.Ryan

Love this vacuum! It’s lightweight manoeuvres super easy and has great suction. The battery runs on the lowest setting for 30mins! But I do recommend buying another battery which makes it even better if you use the vacuum on the other settings. I use it on hardwood and low pile rugs and it picks up all the different sizes of kitty litter from around the tray. It does seem a little flimsy in some areas where it feels like it could snap almost. But overall best vacuum by far!LilB

We have a small home with birds and a dog. Most floors are laminate with two carpeted areas and one area rug. The price point and reviews online were positive. This stick vac does the job well and is easy to put together, easy to empty and takes very little space. The battery lasts long enough for daily cleaning. We’ve only had the vac for a couple of weeks but are very pleased with it. A video on YouTube helped answer any questions. So far nothing negative to share.Og

I bought this vacuum cleaner three years ago. It has very good sucking power; however, it is very heavy to lift to get it off the hard wood floors onto the rugs. It doesn't just glide on to the rugs–you have to physically lift it. Last month when I was lifting it, the handle cracked in half. I keep putting electrical tape around it and duct tape to hold it together but it doesn't hold. I am afraid I am going to electrocute myself.Theresa

This is a durable, great vacuum for cleaning hard floors and carpeted surfaces. Excellent suction, lightweight and a huge bag capacity. Definitely feels more premium and durable than the big-box stuff. Picks up pet hair easily. I use the HEPA bags in mine for added filtration. These vacuums are made to last and easy to be repaired if needed. I'd buy another one for sure.Michael

It was like a bulldozer was in the room! I had several of these machines over the years. They were great. This one was so loud the neighbors could hear it. Ordered this bundle for such a great deal! Unfortunately, the item was delivered to the wrong address by FedEx. Totally not Hoover's fault. They re-shipped another bundle to me, and it worked out well the second time. I love these vacuums! They do a great job on our hardwoods and rugs and carpet. Our two year old loves to help vacuum too – that's how light the stick vacuum is! Being cordless is such a plus!!! Only wish that the batteries weren't so expensive, but that's not a huge deal. We purchased one extra battery just so both the handheld and stick have their own batteries. I will say that the handheld is far inferior to the stick, but it works for what we need (to do the stairs and our cars) – just have to go over the same areas multiple times, as the suction isn't stellar. I would recommend and purchase the stick vacuum again for sure… just probably not the handheld.Moon

I bought this cordless vac because I like any conveniences I can get when it comes to house work. I use my floor cleaners more often when cordless. I can glady skip wrapping/unwrapping, plugging/unplugging cords in and out of electrical outlets from room to room. I've been happy with this cordless since I got it last July (not quite one year old). It was an upgrade overall from what I had. However the hose got a hole in it not about 6-7 months in. Not from anything I could figure out. I duct taped it and after a second hole, I contacted the Manufacturer, since it's still within a 3 year warranty. They said the hose is not made anymore – already out of making the parts??? They will replace it — okay, — but I have to mail the whole vac back on my dime. They will pay for the shipment of the new unit. Which may be kinda fair, but it's too soon for this type of episode with a not quite a year old vacuum. Since the parts are not being made – there's no commitment to this product by the mfr. I did not buy at this store, but thought I would let someone know if considering — please don't do it.Chickee

I was going back and forth between this and the shark navigator cordless. They seemed pretty even on reviews. I mostly decided on this because it's was on sale on the Hoover website! I had to wait a little longer to get it then I would from other sites(about 5 days from the day I ordered it) but it was worth the price difference for sure. I was worried about it as I have 4 dogs. A great dane(high shedder short hair), a Mini Aussie( How shedder clumpy hair), a King Shepherd(high shedder clumpy long hair) and a Cheweenie(high shedder short hair. I also have a maine coon cat. So, I essentially have lots of hair everywhere, all the time. I do NOT know how this performs on carpers because I bought it for my wood floors( bathrooms(2), hallway, entryway, dining room, and kitchen.) So far it has worked great for me. I have had ZERO clog issues despite the amount of hair it has to pick up and I have been able to vacuum all the above mentioned rooms in one swoop without the battery going dead. It picks everything up easily. I actually accidentally sucked up a good size piece of paper today and really though it would cause my first clog, but atlas it didn't. So far this vacuum is performing perfectly for me. I think the only downside I can think of as of now is the fact that a replacement battery is 100$. However, there are off brand batteries other places that are compatible with this vacuum for half the price, and the reviews on them state that they actually work better than the original hoover battery… So, I will probably just go that route whenever I need a new battery. If you want a cordless for wood (or any non carpeted) floors, this one is definitely recommended. And it does hold up against that pet hair!Ameri5

I am disappointed with this vacuum. Pros: I love that it doesn't have a disposable bag. The suction power is great, and may be too strong (wish there was a way to adjust the suction power). The filtration seems great — no sneezing fits after vacuuming! Cons: This is an extremely noisy machine, particularly when using the wand with attachments, especially the stair tool. Stair tool is less than 5 inches wide, rendering it useless. Using the cleaner head doesn't fully vacuum dust off of hardwood floors – it seems that I will have to separately purchase the "articulating hard floor" tool to get the job done right. The wand is extremely awkward to use: the hose retracts too tightly and pulls the vacuum if you try to use it fully extended. The hose crimps and blocks the suction since it doesn't have any curvature where one's hand holds it. (I note that all promo picture show the hose extended fully straight — is it not supposed to be used at an angle?) The cleaner head is rather wide and not ideal for smaller spaces. Cleaner head with beater turned on can easily suck up fringe and edges of thin rugs, and in fact has shredded the edges of a sisal rug. This is not an ideal vacuum for those with lots of rugs and wood floors who want to try to clean both at the same time without continuously toggling back and forth between using the cleaner head and the wand. The machine feels flimsy, cheap, and wobbly. The handle always feels like it is about to twist and snap off. My 20 year old Miele is a far better vacuum in terms of design and quality.DJBklyn

So I have had this vacuum for about a year now and am sorely disappointed in the way this Dyson was created. Again I will first complain about how HEAVY it is – Seriously, if you are not strong and you have more than one level in your home, reconsider before purchasing this vacuum. Moving it up and down the stairs is a challenge – my son can't do it and my husband complains of it's weight when he has to so take that into consideration. My last Dyson was half this weight and still cleaned great. Besides the weight though, I have had so a bunch of other issues with this model – some small, some not. > There are too many points where dirt gets stuck and I have to literally take half the vacuum apart to figure out where the clog is and to fix it. This has happened to me sooooo many times and I literally have to follow the tubing to see where the issue is, sometimes it is in the wand, sometimes in the actual vacuum part and sometimes it is where the dirt goes into the dirt cabinet (or whatever it is called). I have spent so much time cleaning out my vacuum to make it work and then causing a huge mess of dirt on the floor that it causes my cleaning time to take way longer than it should. I have kids and pets so there's all kinds of small things on the floor, but I expect a vacuum of this caliber to be able to not only handle it but not require me sit down on the floor and conduct surger on my vacuum to fix the issue. > In order to use the wand I have to unwind all of the plug cable as the cable locks the wand into place on the vacuum – just not convenient. > After using the wand, trying to put it back in place is such a challenge that half the time my family won't even take the time to put it back in its place – it just doesn't want to go where it should. > When using the wand, your hand sits on the stretch tube part and as it picks things up it hits stretchy tube part right where your hand is – half the times I think that there is a hole because it feels like it really is hitting my hand but I realize there is no hole but then the rest of me wonders how long will this stretch section actually last if things are constantly hitting it in the same spot??? We will see, I guess… > When you are done using the vacuum and want to make it just stand up, you have to put it in place 2-3 times before it will actually stand up on its own. I bought a Dyson Vacuum in 2006. It was amazing, I couldn't believe how good a vacuum it was…a little pricey at $300 compared to competitors, but well worth the money. The suction was fantastic and the tool organization was amazing. Fast forward to 2021 and that Dyson, now 15 years old dies…and totally understandable she went thru a lot. So now, simplest fix is to buy a new Dyson…big mistake. I don't know what they have been doing since 2006, but they now make a terribly cheap vacuum, which now surprising costs even more at $499 (inflation). It is clunky, fully manufactured with the cheapest and thinnest plastics and they changed some of the impressive designs in 2006 to something much less user friendly. It truly amazes me that they could have done nothing for 15 years and would still have a vacuum way better than what they sell now. Only explanation is greed, squeeze out every penny from the Dyson name, but make a product they no is crap.Benjamin

This vacuum is light weight and easy to use EXCEPT the on button is just above the button that opens the dirt container . Every time I vacuum, by accident, I open the dirt container and dirt goes everywhere! Its a mess! This happened to a couple people who tried to help me as well. What a horrible design error!!! Plus the dirt container is very small and needs to be emptied often…unless you vacuum with it open!! I purchased it because my health is failing and I needed something lightweight and easy to use.. Also the main opening in the floor portion totally plugs and the entire bottom piece needs to be taken apart and you need a bottle brush or a something long enough to push the plug of dust or whatever out of the elbow (which you can straighten). Its not difficult, but annoying and messy as well. I would never recommend this vacuum to anyone, its too much work and too much money for the horrible design. I would send it back, but its been way too long.pattysev

I love Shark products. I have been waiting for the TSV and for this vac to be back in stock. I purchased rose gold, blends well with a neutral palate. I still use my original upright Shark vacuum purchased from QVC (10 years) which is a beast at cleaning my tile, wood and carpet floors. I use a robot vac for 1/3 of my floors that are not heavily traveled. The top of the line name brand R- robo vact does a ok job, but it takes a long time and I needed a stick/handheld vac which I could use for small jobs in the kitchen, sunroom and run it over high traffic areas daily. It is quick and picks up well. It has a swivel head and lies down to get back and under furniture. The battery life last and I have never had trouble having is run out. This device is not a replacement for a quality upright vacuum. Nothing is. This vac is for small jobs, daily floor maintenance and I love it. You are able to buy a replacement battery from Shark if needed and I love that too. So many stick vacs end their battery life and you cant easily replace the battery. Not the case here, so this device will last a long time. The hand vac is handy (HaHa) for crevasse's, corners, and I have used the pet tool on my sofa and it does a great job with dog fur. The filter needs to be changed sometimes during a job based on how much stuff it has vacuumed up. I have not cleaned it yet, the manufacturer says to clean the filter monthly. Recommend this vacuum to help maintain clean floors especially in high traffic area and recommend it for any busy household.medicinewoman

I have had this for about a month now and I do have some things to say about it. First off, the pros: Very east to use and set up. I can't tell you how nice it is to just pick this up and use it WITHOUT having to plug it in. Just pick it up and go. I love how east it is to take the top part off for when I have to get under areas the vaccum can't. I love how easy it is to empty the vacuum out. Simply press a button and release the dirt. No dust flying everywhere. Cons- The battery life is atrocious. I can't vacuum my 1200 sq home all the way without it dying. It is very annoying when you are all set on cleaning and getting it done quick and then to have the battery die and wait an hour or more before it charges back up. The dust area is very small. Some people may love this, because the don't want dust flying everywhere, and I love that to, however, the area is so small that after just a little vacuuming, the vacuum suck is really bad and you have to dump the dust. The last thing is, the add ons for the hand part of the vacuum does not connect to the body of the vacuum, so you have to hold them in your hand, pocket or walk over to the charging station and grab it. Minor annoyance but felt like it needed to be said. Overall, a great vacuum for small areas and little cleanups for everyday use, not great for a big clean day.HugeMunchkin

We bought this hand held vacuum and absolutely loved it for the first bit of time. It always sucked up every crumb and dirt on the floor. Suddenly it has started loosing its charge! It only lasts for at most 1 minute of vacuuming which makes it completely unusable. I’m so sad as I had high hopes for this. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this product as the battery can’t be replaced and now we need to consider buying a new hand held vacuum.BBB Customer

Replaceable batter pack; I promised myself I would not buy another Pivot since B+D chooses to make it a 'throw=away' device when the batteries will not longer take/hold a charge. After doing without one for several months, I relented an purchased another. It's a great device otherwise, but B+D needs to be more environmentally focused. Bought this one to replace the same vacuum after only 4 years. Walmart sent me an e-mail when they had one in stock, while the other online retailer wanted me to wait a month. Harrumph. I expected that the first Pivot would last 15 years, like the previous Dustbuster with the removable VersaPak batteries. No such luck. BTW, the Li-ion cells are matched so you can't replace just one.DrC

I have had a Hoover Windtunnel since 2012 and love it. This vacuum is terrible. It has good suction but………When it is in the Upright position so you can use the attachments the roller brush does not shut off. It ruins your carpet! It actually was smelling like something was burning. I think the belt was slipping. Bad engineering to not have the roller brush shut off in the upright position. What kind of idiot would say yes to a design like this? Our Windtunnel shuts off in the upright position. Tried to call Hoover….was told they were closed on a Thursday, I Was told in a recording to go online which I did but chat said they were closed and to call them. PING PONG affect going on here. DUMB….. Then on Friday was on hold 2 hrs before it cut me off. Called back, pressed the prompt for a call back and never got one the entire day and still no call back. Today is Monday called again and again We are closed after going through all the prompts to wait for an agent. Went online to chat and actually got someone named Honey B who was a bit rude saying we are open, just busy. So there is a difference of being closed and saying busy hang on….. Then when I told about the problem we had I was told to talk to who makes our carpet. Pass the buck Hoover on poor engineering huh????. You should never have a vacuum that the brush spins and spins when it's in one place. This vacuum was made to use attachments so put the rollers into idle please while using them. You will wear out your carpet and wear out your vacuum belt. Hoover will try everything I'm sure to cover our damaged carpet….SO BUYER beware. FORGET this vacuum. Its junk. PLUS the dial to lift the vacuum head up really does nothing. It's a joke. And when emptying the canister, it fell off the hinges. Seriously, I will never recommend Hoover again. They have gone down hill..You do get what you pay for. And this one is best left on the shelf.Larry59

I grew up using Hoover products and have used them my entire adult life. I researched all brands/models before replacing our older Hoover. We decided on this vacuum due to having three cats and it's excellent reviews. The first time I vacuumed with it, I loved it. I actually still love it's vacuuming capabilities (after using it a month). The fault with this product lies in the fact that as soon as you turn on the vacuum, the brush turns at a very high speed (while vacuum is still in upright position) and the brush doesn't stop until you turn off the vacuum, regardless of floor setting or if you are using the upholstery/stair attachments. I've never had a vacuum like this before and being that it's specifically designed for pet owners, the fact that the brush turns when the upholstery attachments are in use baffles me. While trying to vacuum our couch the brush actually wore on our carpet and heated it to the point of melting after less than a minute. I tried manipulating the vacuum and leaning it back off the carpet while using the attachment but that is just way too much effort. We tried it on all floor settings including hard floor with the same results. Honestly, the brush shouldn't turn until the handle is released for vacuuming so I'm not exactly sure why it was made this way. I returned it thinking I had a faulty vacuum and exchanged it for the same model (it does vacuum really well), and the second vacuum did the same, so I must assume it's simply a design flaw. So if your pet's don't shed on furniture or stairs I recommend this model, otherwise It pains me to say that I don't recommend it.Cat mom of three

Well, it seems to do ok but there are some things that make me wonder why they were designed the way they were. The on switch should be up at the top of the handle instead of being a foot switch where the reclining lever used to be for something like 100 years of Hoover vacuums. To recline the handle now requires I reach around with my foot and step on the front of the machine while forcing the handle down. It's very awkward and silly to change a design that worked for a century. And the rug height adjustment is a little touchy. I set it around medium and started vacuuming a very low rug and didn't know the belt was slipping until I smelled rubber burning. Oops. Once I learned to dial the height properly the vacuum does a pretty good job of cleaning pet hair and dirt from carpet. I had been vacuuming with a shop vac and thought my rugs were fairly clean, but the Hoover with the spinning brushes managed to pull out a lot more dirt that I missed. Emptying the canister is straightforward. I take it outside and blow it with a leaf blower. I can't imagine getting it sufficiently clean any other way without using water. Overall it's a marvel of engineering that performs its job very well, but with a couple very obvious design blunders that renders it a bit awkward to use.Randal

Just moved to new state, left old vacuum for daughter. It was a larger Dirt Devil that we needed for all the shag carpet in that home, but our new home is a lot of hardwood and low pile carpet and I didn't feel I needed another large vacuum. Read some reviews and as with any product you will read "best" and "worst" – so you just have to decide if it's a chance worth taking … for me, IT WAS! I absolutely love this little devil 😉 lightweight and so very easy to use. Does a FAR better job than the traditional dust mop I was using before it arrived. I will say that we don't have children or pets, so it has a pretty easy gig. Doesn't have real strong suction, but very sufficient for our needs. Nice long cord. A snap to put together. Seems sturdy as I've dropped it 2x already and still works perfectly fine. Because it is small it won't hold a lot of debris, but again sufficient for our needs. I like that there is no belt that needs to be replaced and there is not rotary brush that needs to be constantly cleaned … I hate that! The only con is that it doesn't stand up by itself (need to lean it against something) but that was just a matter of getting used to leaning it on something and not just letting go of it. Works equally on hardwood and our low pile carpet. VERY pleased.Carol

I live in senior living, and not that strong; I moved into here with a Dycem. All the floors are laminate except bedroom rug. To use Dycem is difficult, is too heavy, and mars laminate. This little vacuum fills the bill, does not have beater bars, is maneuverable, goes up against baseboards and flattens out underneath things. The suction is excellent, gets dust, hair and whatever, and is very lightweight. Great simple solution, it was easy to put together and get out of box.Helofu

Really great at collecting fine particle dust, etc. Picks up from carpet, incl deep pile, or hard surface. Good power/suction and easy to switch from 'floor mode' to 'dustbuster' mode. Does an amazing job but is really quite heavy for a stick vac and considering previous experiences with Dyson cordless vacs–you just have to plan for it to die sooner than you'd like. This thing is HEAVY so you feel like you can skip arm day at the gym. This thing is really as big as you can possibly go cordless before it just makes sense to get a full-size or canister vacuum. I purchased this to replace my v11 that had issues with the battery staying in. The outsize + version comes with 2 batteries and the updated battery locking mechanism design shows that Dyson was listening to user complaints about previous versions of the battery. All my previous cordless Dysons died unceremoniously sooner than they should have. This Outsize+ replaced by V11 (purchased 09/2019) which replaced my 2017 V7 (purchased in 2018) , my 2016 V8 (Purchased in 2016) and my circa 2009 DC 31. I have owned 3 full-size Dyson vacuums since 2006 and all 3 are still alive and well– I would go for those over the cordless vacs, hands down IF you have the space. If you live in a smaller space or want something more portable, then the cordless vacuums are worth a look but ONLY if you also but an extended protection plan. Every cordless vacuum I've had from Dyson has died sooner than I would deem reasonable at this price point. However, if you plan in advance for the eventual demise of your pricey dirt eater…BUY the extended warranty it is worth the added expense. The laser beam thingy shows me all the dust and dirt left behind and in horrific fashion. This horrifies me to no end and I've used it only once–I seriously think there should be some sort of trigger warning to prepare you for what you might find using the laser head! The laser head will make you think you just are living in filth even if everything looks clean otherwise. This shows me dog fuzz and dust that I would rather not see, crumbs under the couch I couldn't reach and all sorts of dust I wish I could unsee. I know the point is to get things clean but this really shows you what your Roomba missed or exactly how much your fur babies shed. Not recommended to use the laser cleaning attachment under your teenager's bed (or anywhere in a child's room unless you are mentally prepared for the disgusting things kids leave behind). My kids LOVE the laser attachment for grossing out family and friends alike. I love all the other attachments for cleaning everything else and aside from feeling like I'm pumping iron every time I pick this thing up, it is my go to vacuum. Bottom line: Buy it for the convenience of a cordless vacuum that has excellent suction power but expect it to die before it should. Bonus: you also get toned biceps! Value: Very pricey especially since Dyson's cordless vacuums seem to die way too soon. Worth it IF you also have the extended warranty. Pros: Portable, massive suction for a cordless vac and–lots of accessories to clean every surface you can imagine. The Dyson Outsize+ includes almost everything that you could want with a cordless vacuum. The Outsize+ is now the third Dyson cordless I have owned (previously the 7 & 10). The jump from the 7 to the 10 was a pretty dramatic change and the change from the 10 to the Outsize+ was almost as dramatic. The 10 did a good job on carpet floors, but the Outsize+ is now comparable to a regular plugin vacuum. The laser fluffy head cleaner is one of the coolest features on the vacuum. It shines a laser light in front of the vacuum, which makes it easy to see dust and dirt that you might normally miss. However, since my house is a mixture of hard floor and carpet, I will probably use the standard MotorBar head most of the time. The MotorBar says that it is designed in a way to prevent hair tangling. I haven't had the vacuum long enough to test if that is true, but I am hopeful. Aside from the two large heads, the vacuum comes with a bunch of specialty heads that work for various purposes. I found that the Hair Screw Head works well for cleaning car carpet mats. I wish they provided examples of the best use case to use on some of the other heads, because I am not entirely sure when to use one vs the other. The vacuum comes with a mount that you can attach to the wall, and you can directly attach two of these smaller heads to the mount. The rest need to be stored in a separate location (I do wish they provided a mount that had a space for all the included heads). The vacuum also comes with not one, but two batteries. These batteries are not just standard batteries but long-life batteries. They advertise that one battery can last up to 60 mins on a full charge. Unfortunately, while these batteries allow the vacuum to have a great run time, they also make the vacuum very heavy. I think some people will have a hard time trying to use the vacuum to clean things above the floor. I wish instead of two long life batteries, there was a shorter but much lighter battery included with the unit. Overall, the Outsize+ is a great vacuum. The long-life batteries are great if you have a large home. However, the extra weight of the Outsize+ may be a turn off for some people. I would have preferred to sacrifice some runtime for a lighter weight. I also wish Dyson would offer a hold function so you don’t have to keep your finger on the trigger to keep it active.MikeyJFla

I am new to this type of vacuums. The technology seems amazing and super friendly for households since it packs a tremendous succión power with a pleasant low noise environment and easy handling. The design and functionality of all the attachments and main unit is truly revolutionary. For all that, the high price (compared to similar equipment from other brands) is somehow tolerable. Seriously, paying over a thousand dollars for a vacuum is a decision not taken lightly. But when you see the results from that first time tests, a sense of relief comes to you. The downside here is that you are paying a premium on the technology itself but not on the product overall. This vacuum is constructed with the cheapest possible plastic material Dyson could find out in China. It is scary manipulating the unit with the sensation that a wrong turn or an accidental fall from the hands will break this vacuum in thousand pieces. Honestly, I do not see the usability of this product (based on the quality of the material) beyond 2-3 years if left in a high temperature garage, or exposed to the elements in your back porche or if it is not handled with extreme care, which I don’t think should be a factor when using a vacuum cleaning. In a fair comparison with another premium product like Kirby (similar usability, functionality, and price) I prefer by far this Dyson unit, admitting, however, that it is very likely, that Dayton Outside Absolute (for awesome it is) will not last the 10 years that Kirby has given me without a single problem with the same results (although the noise, the heavy weight, the outdated look and the lack of cool technology where Dyson shines as a King)OG4Delta

I purchased this vacuum back in May/June of 2021 and have had the last 6 months to really use this thing and put it to the test and honestly- I'm not impressed. I'm already way past the return window, so I just wanted to leave a review for others so people can know my personal experience. It doesn't have the suction to pull the cleaner/water out of any rugs or carpet I own. So, we are left with wet carpet for hours after using this. It also does not clean the floors properly with the brush. It's really just moving dirty water around while only sucking up a small fraction of what I have put down. There are dirty water streaks every time I use this to mop. When using the vacuum dry, the dust and hair clog up the filter within minutes and I have to empty it multiple times while vacuuming, even though the container itself is not nearly full. I have a long haired cat, and I myself have long hair. Neither of these things have agreed with this vacuum. If you have a cat and plan on vacuuming any cat litter with this- don't. It will become a large clay litter clump in the suction tube of the vacuum that you have to get out yourself. It will also leave nasty gray streaks of litter/water on the floor. Additionally, my fallen hair gets so tangled in the spinning brush that I have to cut it off. Honestly, that might not be avoidable or the fault of the vacuum. My hair also gets caught on the sides of the spinning brush and becomes an unmanageable mess that can't be removed. This was probably my worst "big purchase" of 2021. I got the Crosswave Max as a splurge birthday present, but I do not like it at all. It is not convenient. Have to assemble before each use, fill with water and their solution (cannot use just water for brush head reasons), then after use have to run the brush clean function and disassemble and clean all the other parts and let them dry. So you need a dedicated area for all this, just like a full on carpet cleaner. In all that time it takes to assemble and clean up after, I can bend over and pick up or sweep up any of my toddler’s mess AND warm up and use my steam mop. Going back to the brush cleaning cycle, it does not do much to clean the brush. The brush remains dirty, discoloured, and unless you soak it in detergent for at least 30 minutes with a good rinse after (blue dish soap, or laundry soap, or their solution, etc), it will remain dirty and leaves a lot of streaks and milky film on the floor the next use. I have darker floors, so it looked disgusting after the wetness dried. I would have to use my steam mop after using the crosswave and the pad would be very gross after, but atleast the floors would finally look good. It’s also a slow machine to use. You basically wet the floor area going slowly so it’s evenly wet and then have to go over it several times to try to dry it as much as possible. You have to do this section by section. It would take much too long to do only my kitchen, where I could sweep or vacuum and mop it in half the time. This machine is a great idea in theory, but it is not convenient or efficient and left my floors dirtier than before using it. The company states the brushes need to be replaced after ten hours of use (I did not use it nearly that long and the brush heads were awful after a short time) and they are not cheap to replace. Also have to use their solution, again not cheap. For such an expensive device, it requires a lot of additional costs.Melissa O

I have had a Hoover Windtunnel since 2012 and love it. This vacuum is terrible. It has good suction but………When it is in the Upright position so you can use the attachments the roller brush does not shut off. It ruins your carpet! It actually was smelling like something was burning. I think the belt was slipping. Bad engineering to not have the roller brush shut off in the upright position. What kind of idiot would say yes to a design like this? Our Windtunnel shuts off in the upright position. Tried to call Hoover….was told they were closed on a Thursday, I Was told in a recording to go online which I did but chat said they were closed and to call them. PING PONG affect going on here. DUMB….. Then on Friday was on hold 2 hrs before it cut me off. Called back, pressed the prompt for a call back and never got one the entire day and still no call back. Today is Monday called again and again We are closed after going through all the prompts to wait for an agent. Went online to chat and actually got someone named Honey B who was a bit rude saying we are open, just busy. So there is a difference of being closed and saying busy hang on….. Then when I told about the problem we had I was told to talk to who makes our carpet. Pass the buck Hoover on poor engineering huh????. You should never have a vacuum that the brush spins and spins when it's in one place. This vacuum was made to use attachments so put the rollers into idle please while using them. You will wear out your carpet and wear out your vacuum belt. Hoover will try everything I'm sure to cover our damaged carpet….SO BUYER beware. FORGET this vacuum. Its junk. PLUS the dial to lift the vacuum head up really does nothing. It's a joke. And when emptying the canister, it fell off the hinges. Seriously, I will never recommend Hoover again. They have gone down hill..You do get what you pay for. And this one is best left on the shelf.Larry59

I grew up using Hoover products and have used them my entire adult life. I researched all brands/models before replacing our older Hoover. We decided on this vacuum due to having three cats and it's excellent reviews. The first time I vacuumed with it, I loved it. I actually still love it's vacuuming capabilities (after using it a month). The fault with this product lies in the fact that as soon as you turn on the vacuum, the brush turns at a very high speed (while vacuum is still in upright position) and the brush doesn't stop until you turn off the vacuum, regardless of floor setting or if you are using the upholstery/stair attachments. I've never had a vacuum like this before and being that it's specifically designed for pet owners, the fact that the brush turns when the upholstery attachments are in use baffles me. While trying to vacuum our couch the brush actually wore on our carpet and heated it to the point of melting after less than a minute. I tried manipulating the vacuum and leaning it back off the carpet while using the attachment but that is just way too much effort. We tried it on all floor settings including hard floor with the same results. Honestly, the brush shouldn't turn until the handle is released for vacuuming so I'm not exactly sure why it was made this way. I returned it thinking I had a faulty vacuum and exchanged it for the same model (it does vacuum really well), and the second vacuum did the same, so I must assume it's simply a design flaw. So if your pet's don't shed on furniture or stairs I recommend this model, otherwise It pains me to say that I don't recommend it.Cat mom of three

Well, it seems to do ok but there are some things that make me wonder why they were designed the way they were. The on switch should be up at the top of the handle instead of being a foot switch where the reclining lever used to be for something like 100 years of Hoover vacuums. To recline the handle now requires I reach around with my foot and step on the front of the machine while forcing the handle down. It's very awkward and silly to change a design that worked for a century. And the rug height adjustment is a little touchy. I set it around medium and started vacuuming a very low rug and didn't know the belt was slipping until I smelled rubber burning. Oops. Once I learned to dial the height properly the vacuum does a pretty good job of cleaning pet hair and dirt from carpet. I had been vacuuming with a shop vac and thought my rugs were fairly clean, but the Hoover with the spinning brushes managed to pull out a lot more dirt that I missed. Emptying the canister is straightforward. I take it outside and blow it with a leaf blower. I can't imagine getting it sufficiently clean any other way without using water. Overall it's a marvel of engineering that performs its job very well, but with a couple very obvious design blunders that renders it a bit awkward to use.Randal

I really like the portability and suction of this vac, the one thing I don't like is the hose design. I don't understand why the interior hole for suction is wider than the second hole inside the hose? What this does is plug the hose so you're constantly poking your finger in it so everything will suck into vac. It's like traveling down a 4 lane highway then running into an accident where everything slows down. Not that good for leaves on the firewall of your car. It does better on the carpets where dirt is crumes and dust. Lost a star because off the hose design.Gonzo55

Best feature is the size and weight – so portable and light. Would be nice if the hose stretched a little farther, but then it might not store so neatly. You can't quite reach a full arm's length with it, but still quite handy. The suction seems quite adequate for a small unit (won't rival your shop vac or home vacuum, but good enough for small jobs) Battery removal and charging are easy, and dust cup emptying also easy. Haven't tried cleaning the internal filter yet. Price is higher than cheap handheld units (think DustBuster), but I think it will be much more versatile. I have a plastic wand from a discarded vacuum that will work as an extension. May get a better dusting brush, as this one has very short bristles only on one side (I like old-school brushes).SS in IA

I'm glad I bought this little portable vac. It works great in cleaning my van. I get a lot of fir tree needles on the floor mats. Using high speed setting with the brush was better that using the crevice tool for picking up fir needles. I was surprised the 2Ahr battery last a long time on high vacuum speed. I also used the battery on the Worx small blower to blow fir needles off the van and engine compartment. The blower was great for cleaning out the vacuum waste container and cleaning the vac hepa&metal filter. A great combination of tools.Harry46

This is my first cordless vacuum so I am not an expert but this is my observations after 1.5 months of using it. While I will say the hard floor power head works great for exactly that I must say the multi surface power head is terrible. After vacuuming a single 5’x7’ rug, the light goes red, the roller stops, and it needs to be cleaned. It’s not like we have a lot of hair in our house, just myself and my partner, as our dog does not shed at all. To clarify it comes with two full sized motor heads. One for hard floors (this one is great and hair doesn’t get caught in it at all) and one for carpet and hard floors (this multipurpose one gets a lot of hair caught in no time at all and will stop working until you take it apart and clean it) Canadian Tire does not offer returns on vacuums once you’ve tested them which I somewhat understand but it’s also a nuisance and it something that may hinder me from buying one from them in the future. If we hadn’t bought this vacuum on sale 50% off I would be quite upset. This vacuum feels very cheaply made. If you are looking for a cheap vacuum for hard floors then this one will do a decent job. In order to vacuum my living room/dining room and kitchen though I must recharge two of these 3Ah batteries. A 3Ah battery takes me 4 hours to recharge but lasts 15-20 minutes depending on the setting you have it on i.e.CARPET or ECO etc. On another day I can then have them fully recharged to then do the kitchen/hallway or other small rooms. Therefore you MUST have two of these batteries. If you spend $300 on two 4Ah batteries you could do a condo sized apartment (1000 square feet in my case). Therefore the onus of technology improvement for the batteries falls on Hoover and they should thus charge less for these batteries. The cordless technology is nowhere near where it should be and for that reason I cannot recommend it to my friends with would prefer central vac and they are mostly in houses not condos. I always use the less draining ECO function on the vacuum and get 20 minutes out of each 3Ah battery. I believe two 4Ah batteries are sufficient for 1000 sq foot space to get done without needing to recharge them though but $300 for those batteries is like buying another high end vacuum cleaner.SD

This vacuum glides across high pile carpet! My Dyson was so difficult to use even after adjusting the settings once we bought new carpet which has a higher pile. The Soniclean is light weight, easy to move and does an amazing job. So glad we invested in this one! And I’m thrilled to not have to dump the canister anymore! I love that this is a bagged vacuum! We moved into a new home with luxury plush carpet and an extra thick pad underneath. My Shark vacuum that I love would hardly move on it, regardless of the setting. This vacuum moves easily even on the deep clean mode, and cleans very well. It’s been weeks and still the bag seems pretty empty so I think it will last a while. There are no attachments, so that would be an improvement. But I only use this for our carpeted bedrooms and use the Shark for all other tasks, like wool runner on the stairs and hardwood floors. 100% would buy this again. But they can’t seem to figure out how to ship me the replacement bags .Michelle

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to try several robot vacuums, but nothing has come close to the ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT X1 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop. This unit offers so many features and outperforms all previous units and it also includes a mop feature! What’s in the box: – DEEBOT X1 OMNI vacuum and mop robot – OMNI auto-emptying and auto-cleaning station – Extra dust bag – Extra pair of mopping pads – Cleaning brush – User manual When it arrived the size of the box was a little surprising, I was nervous about how big this robot might be. Once unboxed, it is actually a very manageable size for our home. We have a perfect spot in our family room for the base unit which provides access to all the hardwood and tile flooring on the main level. Setup: There are extensive instructions included (user manual) that are easy to follow and made the initial setup a breeze. Ecovacs has done an amazing job of simplifying the setup process for the non-technical user. Both the Deebot (vacuum) and the Omni station (base – instructions attached) require setup. The base needs to be plugged in and the clean water tank filled. The DEEBOT should be fully charged before initial use. The side brushes and mop pads can be installed at this point or left off for initial mapping of the required spaces. Once the area is mapped a 2D or 3D map is available, rooms can be identified, and zones can be setup and customized as desired. There are numerous settings available based on user preferences. Cleaning: The DEEBOT X1 simply outperforms any previous robot vacuums I have owned. The unit runs quietly, and the mopping performance far exceeded my expectations. We have a small dog that keeps us on our toes in terms of cleaning the hardwood and tile flooring and it’s now a snap. We get approximately 3-4 cleanings out of a tank and the clean up between uses is very manageable. I've owned several robot vacuums and I can say nothing comes close to this Ecovacs robot. I've used it for a few days now and am completely blown away with how well this robot works and how dead simple Ecovacs made the whole process. Out of the box this thing is huge. I've had one other self emptying robot vac and the base station for the X1 dwarfs my old base station. This is largely due to the fact that this base station has two massive water tanks to fill and empty the robots on board water tank used to mop hard surfaces. The robot itself is sleek and feel sturdy and very high quality. Packed with every feature imaginable, this robot really is the most advanced smart home device I've ever used. Setting the Robot up was so simple. I followed the instructions in the app, plugged in the base station, connected to wifi and used Ecovacs built in voice assistant "He Yikko" to tell the vacuum to get started. It then made it's way around my house quickly mapping out the entire house room by room. Gone are the days where you have to wait through several full vacuum cycles to get a map of your house. Within 15 minutes the app was updated with an almost perfect map of my house, it even recognized the toilet in the bathroom. After getting the map of the house, I popped on the mop brushes and sent the vac on its way cleaning my house. There were a few things I was really surprised with. The first being how quickly it made its way around my house. It was considerably faster than my old robot and still cleaned just as well if not better. The second was the X1's ability to identify changes in the floor. When you have the mop brushes on the X1 easily identifies transitions to rugs or carpets and knows not to go there and try to mop your carpet. I was also shocked at just how well it cleaned after its first full run. The first run the X1 wandered around finding every wall and moving in what fell like no logical way. But at the end it did clean the house. But every time after that this thing moved like a well oiled machine, starting at the back of the house and moving room by room making straight lines through the whole floor. I will say my floors have not looked this good in a long time. I decided to really test out the X1 by starting it without cleaning up the shoes and toys my kids left all over the house and not opening all the doors all the way. I was again shocked to watch the X1 roam through the house, dodging socks and dolls and finding its way through a half opened door to go about its business. It really only tripped up once by sucking up a white barbie dress, which to be honest is understandable. I've learned the X1's base water tank will last about 4 cycles of mopping by about 1000 sq ft of hardwood, which seems very nice. Emptying the dirty water is quick and simple and man was it full of dirty water. I have no doubt this think is cleaning after looking at the water. It really is a start and forget kind of robot that will do everything you need it to and exceed all your expectations. But the fun doesn't stop at mopping and vacuuming. The X1 has a few other little features that just add to the fun. The first being the build in voice assistant. I wasn't expecting very much, since usually proprietary voice assistants don't work as well as Google or Alexa, but this this is pretty cool. It's faster to respond than any assistant I've used and works great for getting the X1 started and has fun little features like yelling at your X1 to come clean by your feet. There is also a built in camera and speaker on the front of the X1 that lets you use the X1 like a sentry if you want it to roam your house to keep an eye on things while you are away. It's an interesting feature and a neat little addition. I can't say I've gotten a ton of use out of it, but how cool is that my vacuum has a camera. Really the only thing I had any problems with was I wanted to put cleaning solution in the water used to mop, but Ecovacs recommends you only use it's cleaning solution. Only problem is, I can't find anywhere that the cleaning solution is sold. It's not even available on Ecovacs website, which is really strange. Overall, this thing has it all. I don't think you'll find a more advanced robot vacuum, which makes sense given this things price tag. If you have the space for the massive base station, I will say you won't be disapointed.Clshipp91

SETUP/MAPPING It comes with the Deebot X1 Omni vacuum/mop robot with a plethora of sensors, two side brushes, a “floating” main brush, three wheels, and mop system attachment with pads. The top is magnetic which grants you access to the on/off switch and a cute little bagless bin that can hold 0.1 gallons with a reusable washable filter that empties automatically when the vacuum goes back to the station or manually if you want to go back to that peasant lifestyle. The Omni auto-emptying and auto-cleaning Station is large compared to other bases. As it houses a clean water tub, dirty water tub, a cleaning brush, an extra pair of mop pads, and a 3L disposable dust bag. The power cord is removeable and has a place to wrap it on the back for cable management. Both the vacuum and the base feel well built, solid, and high quality. Each of the tubs has thick plastic with rubber textured handles. Everything opens and closes easily. Along with sliding in and out of place smoothly. You can tell a TON of engineering went into every single aspect of this device. Replacement parts aren’t too expensive either which is good. They report an overall run time of 140 minutes. Which I found to be accurate on stock settings. But if you increase the suction power it is a lot less. If you run out of battery mid clean it will return to the dock, charge a bit, and then resume cleaning. They report it takes 6.5 hours to charge fully. Which is a long time, but they likely chose that to maximize the life of the battery. They say it has a max decibel range of 68 dB. I found on stock settings it was close to 50 – 60 dB and would imagine going to maximum suction would be between 60 – 68 dB. On the lid of the base, it gives you instructions on how to get started. Which pretty much says unbox everything and scan the QR which takes you to the Ecovacs HomeVac App which then walks you thought the rest of the process. Which is pairing your robot, connecting it to the internet, and doing the initial mapping that you can see in real time. They report that it uses True Mapping 2.0 which scans the home environment, quickly generates a map, plans the most efficient cleaning paths, and they guarantee less missed and repeated spots. Which I found to be accurate. Once the initial mapping was done, I fine-tuned it by adjusting my house walls, combining some rooms, labeled them, and made a few software barriers. Such as my stairs. It treats that barrier as a wall, and I haven’t had an issue with it. Overall setup time was about 30 – 40 minutes. VOICE CONTROLS: The Voice Control supports Alexa and Google Assistant. But also has a unique one called Yiko. Which you can access by saying “Ok, Yiko” and then a plethora of commands such as “begin cleaning”, “stop”, “return to dock”, “what are you doing”, “clean x”, “mop x”, “clean under table”, etc. You can say “I’m here” and through sound localization tech it will seek you out and clean around you. All of which worked well just like any modern age smart assistant. However, the robotic voice can be improved as it doesn’t sound very good. You can increase/decrease the volume through commands or via the app. And it will call out when it is doing something which I LOVE. Such as starting a clean, returning to the base, emptying the bag, cleaning the mop pads, etc. Which I really like. As that way you aren’t left wondering. For those of you concerned about privacy voice commands are saved on a server which you can go in and delete in the app. You can also turn it off if you’d like. OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE: It uses something called AIVI 3D which utilizes AI computing power, astrophotography-grade RGB camera, LiDAR, dToF sensor, autopilot technology, and human recognition to identify and detect obstacles while scanning the home and creating paths to clean even in the dark. They do report that it works better in well-lit environments. Which I found to be true but did just fine in the dark. With all this tech it does a spectacular job at avoiding objects. On the extremely rare occurrence it did suck something up it shouldn’t have it would automatically turn off the brush, lift itself up, and try to vroom off. This worked every time without intervention. There are two protective bumpers on the front, and I found it rarely bumped into anything to activate them. Even when it did it was very mild making me unconcerned about damage to the vacuum or the thing it was being rude to. It never ran into me or my dog. When it detects an object (shoes, dog toys, clothes, cords, socks, etc.) it will clean around them with a minimal barrier (maybe an inch/inch and a half) and gets even closer around tables, chairs, or walls (maybe an inch or less). It never got stuck anywhere. During the initial mapping it shimmed itself into a small crevice under a bed that was barely big enough for it to fit, went exploring, and came out the other side full of dust with a story of adventure. This is an extremely lightweight machine. Not just in actual weight, but in the job it does. The motor is not powerful, the spinner is not fast. You do NOT save time using this over mopping. You must go SLOOW, back and forth, several times, over each area on even the lightest of soiled flooring. You must clean as instructed, the spinner, screens, and filter after only a few minutes of use or it will stop working completely. It doesn't do well on tile unless there are nearly flat grout lines. What is it good for? Linoleum, very lightly soiled. Probably to have it charged and ready for a small spill in the kitchen while cooking, then set it aside and know you WILL have to disassemble and clean it before you use it again, even after only a minute or two of use. For $99 it is not worth it. This should be a $39 dollar machine tops.Cutlass275

This thing is terrible. I wanted a shark cross wave but they’re expensive. I looked through the description and the reviews and thought this may be a less expensive alternative. You get what you pay for. We use it 2 X on hardwood floors. We don’t have carpets. The cleaner started spitting out nasty, dirty, smelly water all over the place. It left my house smelling like a septic tank. Yes, we have a puppy that has accidents and we used it to clean up. Aren’t these things designed to clean up messes? We have disassembled it just like the directions instructed. We cleaned every item that was disassembled with soap and water and even a tiny bit of bleach on the roller. We put it back together, turned it on and once again it starting spitting out sewage water. I haven’t touched it since. I was just going to eat the price and use the swifter but the more I thought about it. No, I’m sick of buying things that work maybe once then I end up with expensive junk I’m never going to use. So i bought this yesterday i been eyeing this mop for awhile and read alot of reviews. I was so excited to finally get it as the reveiw were so great. I been useing a reuseable spray mop so wanted to up grade as the mop head gets dirty so quick as a single mom i wanted something more convenient but that is not what i got. I was so disappointed in this mop vacuum. I have real hardwood floor and laminate in my kitchen. This did not clean i had dirty spots on my floor that my mop would have got in 2 seconds. But this thing did not clean and at first im like i must be doing something wrong so i read the book with it like 5 times going yes im doing it right. At first the floor wasnt even getting wet but after holding the button down felt like forever it finally got wet. I had to go over spots so many time for it to even get clean. Went to clean my kitchen and that was even worst i kept going over a spot over and over and nothing. So i got out my spot mop sprayed it with just water and it came up as soon as i went over it. So it wasnt a hard spot to clean but the vacuum did not clean it. only good part of the vacuum is that it sucks up the water nice and leaves your floor pretty much dry. It didnt leave streaks but the worst thing of it is when you turn it on its so powerful that it moves the vacuum forward so hard that your fighting it to go backward to suck up the water. For $200 this is not worth it at all my $30 stray mop does so much better ( but hate that it leaves my floors so wet). Oh also this doesnt not get your floor wet or clean a inch away from the wall or your rugs so couldnt get on the side of floors clean.Amber

Moved from Sweden to US a few months ago and was annoyed with the traditional vacuum cleaner we had here, having having to maneuver a heavy and loud motor and not being able to reach underneath furniture. Was driving me crazy and it felt like it was blowing out more dust than it picked up. The Tritan vacuum is very efficient and I was actually surprised by the high quality and power of the motor considering this is not a very expensive machine. It really does the job and with the included attachments it works for any cleaning need. The only downside to it is that I would have liked the electric cord to be a bit longer for better range, but it works well anyway. Many years ago there was a Swedish brand of Vacuum cleaners called "Elektrolux" and they had a slogan "Nothing sucks like an Elektrolux". I would change that now to "Nothing sucks like a Prolux". 🙂Anthony76

I really wanted to love this vacuum, but will have to return it, in spite of the suction being awesome. The suction is as good or better than my Shark vacuums. I needed a good HEPA canister vacuum that would work well on my hard surface floors, window shades/blinds and walls/ceilings. I was disappointed to find that even though there is a HEPA filter, the bags are not HEPA bags. I haven't determined, yet,if the vacuum is sealed well enough, to avoid dispersing dust back into the room. Additionally, the bristles on the hard floor brush are so stiff and scratchy, I am reluctant to use it on my hardwood floors. Unfortunately, none of my better attachments, from my previous vacuums, fit the Tritan. I need to be able to vacuum my walls and ceilings, but the floor brush is not suitable for that either. I would like to be able to comfortably (and safely) vacuum the tops of door frames and window shades and blinds, without using the extension tube. But , the stiff hose does not stretch and is too short to directly attach the dust brush and reach overhead, to the top of my door frames. Back to the drawing board for me, as the Tritan Canister is just not suitable for my needs.C.B.

I am 69 years old, so believe me when I tell you I have had many vacuum cleaners in my life, from a Kirby to a Miele to the less expensive uprights that just don't last. When I moved and left behind my latest upright as a gift to the buyer of my house, I had to find a new vacuum. One that would last. One that could suck up dog hair from my Australian Shepherd. One that was maneuverable and could also clean my truck's interior. When I saw the ad for the Prolux Triton I was taken by how absolutely cute it is. I love its retro looks, like a 50's space ship with chrome and a sleek shape. I love the design of the retractable cord, its maneuverability and the very very powerful motor. I now have a restored vintage house (circa 1900) which requires a strong machine to eliminate dust. I am very pleased with my Prolux Triton!!Vicki

This isn’t the magic cordless stick vacuum i thought it would be. While it’s nice to have a cordless vacuum, it doesn’t work any better than an actual broom and dust pan. The suction is terrible. I used it to clean up kitty litter and it just throws it around and I have to go over it multiple times before it picks it all up. Honestly it sucks and not in a good way. I’m glad that i didn’t pay full price for it. I would not recommend this product to anyone.ashley

Looks nice and cleans well. It even looks to be built well. Has a nice battery indicator too. Which leads me to this vacuums big downfall. The battery lasts maybe 30 minutes on the efficacy setting. and maybe 15 minutes on the high setting. When the battery is dead, it takes three hours to charge. If the vacuum came with two batteries, that would be great. Even 60 minutes of runtime and cleaning a large house is pushing it. I went looking online for a second battery and it looks like it will set us back $80 We paid $148 for the vacuum, so realistically we are looking at a $230 vacuum. Better off buying two of these vacuums and utilizing the two batteries and you would have a spare filters and parts. I can't recommend this vacuum. I am assuming all these battery operated vacuums are about the same battery life. So I think it would be fair to subtract a star for battery life, subtract another star for charge time and one more star for price or replacement battery. Shame on you Tineco!Hoganator

I bought this vacuum when it was on sale for Black Friday. We have four pets who all shed a lot so I knew we’d be putting this vacuum to the test. It works great on our hardwood floors and tile, and I love the light feature on it. The auto-trigger and light weight of the vacuum are pluses too. I have a few issues with it though. It works terrible on carpet and rugs. It barely runs over a super thin rug let alone a push area rug. I bought it over a crosswave thinking it was worth the investment because if we move into a house with all carpet it would work great. It does not. My other issue is the battery life. I knew when getting a cordless vacuum we wouldn’t get a long battery time especially with 4 pets, but I was still disappointed with the battery life. We only have a 1200 sqft house and we’re lucky to get through a single charge. It takes around 3 hours to charge so it’s not a quick waiting process if the battery does die. I’m sure it’d last a little longer if you don’t have pets or less than we do, but I’d be wary if you have a larger home or have pets/kids. It’s also not very easy to clean the inside and we usually have to pull out debris/hair it collected because it doesn’t all come out on its own. I definitely don’t think it’s worth the original price and I’m still having a hard time justifying spending $150 on a vacuum that doesn’t work on carpet.K
