Best Vacuum For Vinyl Plank Floors And Pet Hair (2024 Update)

I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin

After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. The vacuum is a lemon…complete waste of the time and money spent.Card Lady

It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail

Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy

I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I am so so so bummed and wish I would have returned this while I had the chance. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY PICKS UP DOG HAIR.Megan

I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. I've been using this vacuum for a few weeks and I don't have a single complaint yet. I really love how it was designed. It is very sturdy, yet light enough to easily maneuver around the house and over any type of floor surface. The vacuum head swivels effortlessly and intuitively. I especially love the headlight feature which really helps with picking up things in small crevices and under furniture. I have a large long-haired dog and this vacuum picks up the hair without any issues! The battery is very compact; the charger takes up no more space than my single-serve coffee maker as shown in the photo. Charging only takes a few hours and delivers ample runtime for me to vacuum all three floors of my house. The dust/waste bin is easy to empty and clean. Also, the extra two nozzle heads come with a holder than conveniently & cleverly snaps onto the neck of the vacuum handle, so you always have what you need to get the job done! Overall, I LOVE this product. It is the best of both worlds between a clunky traditional corded vacuum and the compact but underperforming handheld vacuum.tfunny

Had this vacuum for roughly 18 to 24 months, has worked pretty flawlessly up until I dealt with the dreaded brush head issue I read others similarly having, after a search of google and Craftsman and finding zero real solutions, I DID NOT spend $200 on a "throw away and buy new" appliance, that simply isn't the United States I grew up in. Anyway, after a week of the head turning on only to shut down after 2 or 3 seconds, I started my disassembly quest by removing the head assembly and looking at the bottom, where I found a red tab with arrows pointing up. I then held said tab with one finger while prying the brush head out with a flat head screwdriver. I clean the brush head. We then see a red gear at the end with a tiny screw holding it, take your tiny phillips head scredriver and remove screw. Gear will be reluctant but wiggle it on out with small pliers or maybe flat screwdriver. THAT was where my problem lied as 18 months of tiny carpet fibers had gotten in there to cause enough friction to stop brush head. Remove the foreign matter and (optionally) apply just a drop of 3 in 1 onto the metal surface. Reverse to reassemble and you may have just saved some aggravation dealing with a silly warranty process or quite possibly some money. SBD Craftsman should be paying me for all the ambassador work I do for them as a DIY nobody, I tell ya hwut. Only problem I'm presently having is the weak "standing" mechanism when the vac isn't being used, it can stand on its own for an hour or so before it wants to lean either way and inevitably falls to the side. It is closet kept where I lean it up against the wall so it's not as big of a deal to me. But can be aggravating between breaks. Would definitely reccomend!! Just don't buy from Lowe's, shopping Amazon or Ace comes with ALOT more dignity in supporting an actual hardware store, Thank you.Kazi9

I've been using this stick vac every day for over a week and that's about 6 times more than I used my traditional corded vacuum. The convenience of not being limited by the length of a cord and wall outlet availability makes it a game changer for me. The motor is strong and cleans as well as my 110v corded vac, but with less noise. The ability to disable the brush makes cleaning tile/wood floors a completely different experience. The 3 power settings are perfectly located to cycle between with your thumb so that you don't suck up a floor mat when transitioning from wood/tile to rug/mat. The ability to detach the motor from the stick and use the brush head in a stubby fashion makes cleaning carpeted stairs unbelievably easier than my traditional stick vac. I have used the shorty to clean the couches and used the adapters to clean under the cushions. With the stick attached to the broom head I can reach under furniture much farther than my old stick vacuum, the LED lights also help find all your kids toys that were lost before sucking them up. The vacuum is very low profile and almost lays down flat so you don't have to move furniture around to clean. Very nice and time saving! The broom head pans from side to side while using the vacuum and I found this to be annoying when trying to go fast. I discovered a way to lock the head and am able to maneuver the vacuum more aggressively without the head flopping around. Craftsman should address that in future revisions of the vacuum, I could see someone making a kit as an "upgrade" and selling those… The wheels on the broom head are nice, but I've found them to be a little lacking when it comes to maneuverability. If the wheels were replaced with ball casters then you would have infinite movement in your X and Y axis and could slide the vacuum in any direction to reach around obstructions. I hope this is something that Craftsman would consider for future releases. The battery life is short lived with the included 2 Ah battery, but enough for me to complete about 1,500 sqf. With an additional battery or (4 Ah) you can accomplish more work. I found myself trying to race the battery to get the cleaning done, which opened my eyes to the swiveling head and rigid wheels. Cleaning is easy. Pull the container, push a button (over a garbage can) and empty the contents. The twisty knob agitator cleans fine particles from the filter (much better than banging it on the garbage can or your other hand). I wish there was a vacuum float gauge you could monitor to quickly determine the health of your filter. I've seen welding helmets with clear tubes filled with small plastic balls and graduations on the tube that let you see air flow. This would make replacing the filter more accurate than just throwing it away and buying a new one every 6 months. I really enjoy using this vacuum and find myself looking for reasons to use it. Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is light weight & really easy to remove the canister from the stick stick. Glides nicely over our entire house which has mostly wood floors and tile, but did well on multiple rugs with different pile heights. It even comes with attachments to clean the stairs, furniture or our SUV & truck. We had a different cordless one but needed a vacuum we didn’t have to worry about running out of battery 1/2 way through our home. The cord is super long so that helps us from having to re-plug every few feet. The dust compartment is simple to empty and clean out with a press of a button. We have 2 dogs and 4 kids so we’re constantly vacuuming, the power is awesome and it’s convenient to easily unload the debris. It’s lightweight too, so it’s easy for me to move around the house without it being a hassle. There is a little downside to it, which is that it doesn’t stand on its own, so you’ll have to either prop it on something or fold it (which is easy) in order to do something else if needed while vacuuming. So I’m taking it down a star for that since I do have to stop and pick up toys etc having kids & pets constantly playing.Heathermthomas

The Shark Rocket Pro, picks up VERY well. The area I first vacuumed with it, was a area that had been vacuumed the day before. Within five minutes, the Shark had picked up A LOT more. The vacuum was easy to assemble and the attachment comes apart easily to be able to vacuum the ceiling and other had to get to areas. The Shark glides across any floor easily and turns easily. The only drawback I found with this Shark machine was the motor was near the top of the handle and it made the machine top heavy. It doesn’t stand on it’s own. There are two small attachments that didn’t have anywhere to attach to the machine, that I could find. But, as well as this machine works, I find these to be minor problems. As you can see from the photo, it picked up quite a bit after only a five minute vacuum. I have animals and cleaning hair has always been a problem.adcatex6

This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum works GREAT ! I really like how light weight it is, I can very easily maneuver it around the house with little effort and let me say how GREAT it picks up all the dirt and debris from my floors. My carpets are much cleaner/fluffy and my hardwood floors are cleaned better than when I sweep. I am very excited and satisfied at how much debris/hair/dust/dirt was in the debris container. This vacuum has PLENTY of attachments that I can use on my stairs and I'll even be cleaning my curtains and window seals. As small as this vacuum is, is does the job QUICKLY and very EFFECTIVELY, much much better than my current canister vacuum. This Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum is much quieter and very stronger in terms of suction than ANY vacuum I've ever owned. I went from 45 minutes of vacuuming to 15 minutes, WHAT A GREAT IMPROVEMENT ! Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Shark Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum if you want clean floors with little effort AND multiple attachments that can simplify and clean the most hard to reach places and other areas.liljayp

We purchased the Shark corded stick model at Target a few years ago. At first it was great, and I recommend it for smaller houses or apartments since it's lightweight and small. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

The Tineco Pure One S15 Flex stick vacuum is a good, everyday, household vacuum. It is lightweight and the suction power is good. It is versatile and very quiet. It will lay flat to clean under beds, sofas, and other furniture. It can be converted into a handheld vacuum with the included attachment tools and brushes to clean above floor surfaces, furniture, and car interiors. It has a nice looking, weighted base that charges the vacuum and holds the attachments. I have used it on our hardwood floors, carpets, and the tiles floors in our kitchen. It does a good job in all areas. The vacuum holds a charge for about 30 minutes. It has a large, easy to read LED display that shows battery level, vacuum malfunctions, vacuum power level, and the amount of dirt that you are vacuuming up. There is a LED ring on the display that will change from red to blue as the floor is cleaned. It really helps to give you the confidence that the floor is clean. The vacuum can also be connected to your WiFi network through a downloadable phone app for additional diagnostic information about the operation of the vacuum. The vacuum can be put in AUTO mode that adjusts the suction power, based on the amount dirt, dust, and debris that it is vacuuming up. You can also manually set the suction power level, but I typically leave in the AUTO mode because it gives me longer runtimes with good results. It is very easy to clean. You empty the dust bin with the press of one button. There is a removeable washable HEPA filter and it comes with an extra filter that can be used while the other filter is drying after it is washed. It has a LED lighted, no tangle brush head that doesn’t get built up with long hair. Overall, it is a really nice vacuum with many modern features. It is versatile and lightweight with good suction and good battery life. The color LED display is the best that I have seen on a stick vacuum. I highly recommend it.DRTechNerd

Review of Tineco Pure One S15 Flex Smart Stick Vacuum Tineco Pure ONE S15 Series is battery powered, smart and cordless category vacuum. Out of box it is easy to assemble, and start using right away. It doesn’t require major reading of the how to use manual except to understand some details. The package comes with handy number of accessories for different cleaning situation and convenience. For instance, it comes with the charging base where to park the vacuum with the tube or without it. Af for cleaning need, it includes 1. Direct-drive anti-tangle LED power brush 2. Mini power brush 3. 2-in-1 dusting brush 4.Cervice Tool 5.Soft Dusting brush 6. Flexible long service tool 7. Multi-angle folding tube 8. Flexible extension hose 9. Hair cleaning tool Battery Charging: To charge fully the battery, according to the manual it takes 3-4 hours. From the actual charging while the battery had 51%, to fully charge took about 1hour and half approximately to reach 100%. Now while it is charging, the display shows the status, and once fully charged, the screen goes totally off. Vacuuming Hard floor: Using Direct-drive anti tangle LED power brush, vacuuming is not bad, it is light enough to maneuver with one hand without getting tire easy. It can clean corners and edges without issues, and dusts get cleaned easily. The LED light serve as guide and able to notice dust as clean. Now, during hard floor cleaning, it is bit noisy though that comes form the brush side. Vacuuming Capet: It is quite similar to using on Hard Floor from removing dust perspective. The only big difference observed is less noisy with the same brush used for Hard Floor, Direct-drive anti-tangle LED power brush. Note on Direct-drive anti-tangle LED power brush: Vacuumed a spot with lot of hairs, and at least from the usage the hair doesn’t appear tangled, hence avoid spending time removing hearts from the brush. What does well: 1. Remove dust as expected 2. To vacuum, I don’t have to maintain the Power On/Off while working. It is press once to vacuum, preset again to stop. This seems good feature compared to others that need to hold the button while vacuuming adding stress to the hand on top of holding weight of the vacuum while vacuuming. 3. The battery is removal allowing to exchange or have second one ready and exchange. 4. Hair anti-tangle brush; hairs are not tangled helping to save time to remove it. 5. Dust sensor seems quite accurate as it turn red in Loop and becoming blue as clean/ 6. Auto mode seems to work accurately as accelerate where more dust is, and less where doesn’t. What I don’t like: 1. The noise from the brush while vacuuming hard floor 2. The dust bin is very limited capacity. As per its manual, its size is of 0/47L. Hence it is for short vacuuming or high frequency of emptying the bin for large work. 3. Hard to clean the bin as the dustbin cannot be removed or separated from the main vacuum body. Although it has mechanism via Dust Empty Release Button and Dust Empty Tab, there is remaining dust and hair stuck between Mesh Filter and Dustbin which need to cleaned by hand and it is hard to reach. 4.Charging with the base only possible with the tube. The base needs to be used only at the floor and cannot be used on alike table and charge directly form main body of the vacuum. 5. Unable to control the power of suction manually. Its Mode are only Auto, or Manual that only allow minimum 6. As vacuum, the display face toward the downside such hardly readable. The display include indicators and icons but as vacuuming it sort of redundant as hardly be interpreted immediately on the go. 7. While charging, the display face down so the reading of numbers and everything on it is reverse. So need to either remove from charging for correct reading from the vacuum, or from the app but that takes second device to reach out. 8. Using App feels bit redundant as couldn’t find usefulness while not using the vacuum, nor cannot use while vacuuming. In short, it is a handy vacuum for quick work, and good lasting battery for the same purpose with nice to have functions. But its downside I am not sure if justify the price.MigDigital

The Pure One S15 Flex is very quiet and includes all the attachments most will ever need. You have several different configurations to use the vacuum up high, down low. Inside the house and outside in the car. Even a nice weighted base to hold most of the tools and charge the vacuum is included. After assembly and a charge. You will be treated to how extremely quite the S15 is. Even on MAX setting, the vacuum is quieter than any vac I have previously used. I think the Tineco "Auto" iLoop Smart sensor does a great job using the power it needs as it encounters floor debris. Although, Auto setting will yield the quietest and best battery life for all surfaces except carpet. I found the MAX setting was a better choice for thicker carpet. Just be ready as it says in the instructions, battery life on MAX will be about 10 minutes. On Auto I did get almost 24 minutes running around the house easily sucking up dust bunnies on hardwood and tile floors. The overall function of the S15 is very good. Suction is good on AUTO and better on MAX despite the hit to battery power. Its easy to empty and even has a slider to help scrape the interior to keep you from touching dirt. And maybe best of all. You pull the trigger to start the vac and it stays on till you pull the trigger again. Tineco even allows you to easily disassemble the filters and dust bin to rinse all the parts to maintain a near new suction after you start using the vac. Just don't forget to check the filter above the handle (magnetic cap) and not just the filter in the dust bin. While Tineco included every possible dusting brush, crevice tool and secondary brush head, and a weighted base to hold most of it. I hope they give consideration to adding a second battery to the kit. I know the S15 Flex is not meant to replace a full size vacuum. Yet, if you have lots of thicker carpet. The extra battery would be very handy to have on hand. Or double the capacity of the included battery.JinOH

Purchased this vacuum as I appreciate the convenience of a cordless vac and only have my upper level and stairs that are carpeted. I am extremely happy with the performance. Both my Daughter and I have long hair and the self cleaning roller brush is amazing. Picks up everything from my hardwood floors in the first pass. Battery run time is optimal for what I need and hands down it outperforms my cordless Euphy stick vac. I also have a large dog with short hair and it did a fantastic job picking up hair that I couldn’t even see on the floor. Price point was great (bought on sale and Best Buy had the lowest price). Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a great cordless stick vacuum. Would be nice if this had a stand or bracket that I could pop it Into in my pantry, but not a huge deal.Jaemi

Purchased this earlier this year when we got our puppy, and what a life saver! Beat hauling a bigger vacuum out and being limited by electrical outlets, especially with a busy puppy around the house. I saw the reviews about losing suction, but you should be keeping the canister cleaned after each use anyway which is as simple as releasing the bottom into the trash. Any other suction loss is usually due to hair or lint building up in the vacuum head which takes 2 minutes to clear. Works great on floors and carpet, super light to do the stairs and bring up and down the stairs. Charge lasts me about 2-3 days use. No complaints other than it could be “prettier”? Lol. I live in an 800 square foot apartment with hardwood floors and one longhair cat, and I found this vacuum unable to cut it. It comes with a rolling cleaner, a brush attachment and a corner attachment. When packed up to charge, there’s no place to put the brush or corner attachment. The rolling cleaner has two small felt wheels that allow it to roll. On first use, both of the wheels became full of cat hair and locked up. I tried to clean them, but it wasn’t immediately apparent how to do it. Eventually I was able to pry them out, with some slight cosmetic damage to the wheels. I’m used to using a roomba, and don’t mind some light maintenance work to keep a vacuum running well. What’s not acceptable is the difficulty of removing and cleaning those wheels, and that they fully locked up so quickly.Dan

We have a German Shepard that sheds like mad all year long. One could build another dog out of all the fur he sheds! We purchased the Bissell Crosswave a few weeks ago and I am thoroughly impressed. Our area rugs have never been cleaner (they are dark blue so the fur REALLY shows!). And it's so easy and convenient to use. The canister is easy to remove and empty. The wand is easy to take off and use for those nooks and crannies with the slim tool (which has a handy brush that slides up for dusting). Setting the height level while vacuuming works like a dream. With our old vac you had to turn off the vac to adjust the height. It has amazing suction. The power cord is nice and long so you don't have to keep moving it to a different outlet to reach. It's the best vacuum I've ever used on bare floors as well. It doesn't shoot the debris around but actually picks it up! The inside of the canister has removable parts that can be rinsed off as well which is a nice feature as here in Arizona it's very dusty. If I could give more stars, I definitely would!Kaarin

I have a German Shepherd who is very floofy. I narrowed down my choices between the Bissell CleanView® Rewind Pet Vacuum Cleaner ad the Dyson Animal II. I have had 2 Dysons before. The feature that made me decide on the Bissell is that it has an adjustment dial for 5 different brush heights so whatever you are vacuuming can be done effortlessly with just the right amount of suction regardless of the surface – tile, this rug, p[lush carpet etc. I have tile, carpets and rugs. The other strong selling point was the included upholstery attachment, which works like a dream on dog hair. The only thing I feel that could be improved is the length of the electrical cord. I had no idea that my carpets, my floors, my home was THAT bad until I used this incredible cleaning machine! I knew my old vacuum (also a Bissel) was needing replaced, and the suction on it still worked well but it had some other issues so I decided to buy a new vacuum, Boy oh boy am I glad that I did! After vacuuming my no carpeted floors with this vacuum, they looked like I had just mopped them! It picks up pet hair like a pro! I love how the canister opens up at the bottom with just the push of a button, no mess, no fuss! And one of my other favorite features of this vacuum is the self wind up cord! What a time saver and back saver! I get so tired of winding the cord up. Also it makes it easier to bring from room to room without having to trail a cord behind you or get caught up in it! Yes, I love this vacuum! It works so good that if ever the makers of Bissell came to me and asked me to do a commercial for them, not only would I do it, I do it for free! I needed a cordless vacuum specifically for the steps. I have wool carpet on steps and my corded vacuum and my hand vacuum just can't get steps fully cleaned so I thought of using this cordless stick vacuum with high suction power. I received this product within 7 days of shipping and the product comes packaged realy well to avoid any damages to the delicate pieces like canister during shipping and handling. Pros: It is very lightweight and easy to use specially on areas like steps, under the couch, and under the cabinets. The head of vacuum moves left and right easily so that it is easy to cover small spaces. It has got 3 levels of suction – you can choose one based on your needs. The suction power is great on carpets and rugs. I even attached a lint/dryer attachment (bought separately) on this vacuum and I was able to pull entire dirt and lint from my clothes dryer in 13 mins by setting it on level 3 suction. The filter was easy to clean- just press a button and the canister opens up. Things that need improvement – 1. Battery – I was able to use this vacuum on level 3 suction power for only 20 minutes and it took 5 and half hours to charge it fully. 2. Corner cleaning capability – It does not work nicely on the corners. I have to use my hand vacuum with an attachment to make sure that all the corners and tough areas are getting properly cleaned. 3. Difficult to attach canister – It took me some time to figure out and get hang of the process of attaching canister back to the vacuum after removing dirt. 4. It did not work so well on the hardwood floor – it was leaving the patches of dirt in between. Overall a decent product for small/tight spaces but that's about it. If you are someone who likes to have a place 100% clean, you will need a second vacuum – something like a small hand vacuum.Neha94

I would highly recommend this vacuum, first and foremost I love that it's super lightweight AND cordless, with runtime up to 44 minutes, which is plenty enough time to get alot of cleaning done! This vacuum works great at cleaning up messes and has plenty of suction power and I especially love that it also features an LED light at the base of the vacuum, that way you can see even more of what you're cleaning and you don't miss any hidden dirt! This stick vacuum also features a brush bar in the vacuum itself, so picking up hair is also a breeze! Something else that I admire about this product is the fact that it also doubles as a handheld vacuum, by simply removing the handheld top part which has an attachable crevice tool to even help get dirt in the trickiest places! Another one of my favorite things about this product is the fact that this vacuum is made with auto sense technology which means it changes suction power based on what surface you're vacuuming! After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

This sweeeper is lightweight and has a lot of suction. It is so much easier to get this out to sweep my kitchen floor than getting out our regular vacuum. It is easy to empty the dirt collector. I purchased this product 8 months ago. It worked great initially. Now the hose connecting the stick to the floor cleaner has cracked and has gotten holes in it. I cannot clean my carpets with it anymore. I’ve contacted the company and am awaiting a response on a solution.Beth

I LOVE this vacuum!!! So easy to use and take apart and clean. The suction is GREAT!! I have 2 cats and 1 dog and this vacuum works wonders!! I especially love the long cord so I only have to move the cord 2 times to get through the house. Also, it is very easy to undo the head piece from the stick part to get to small places. I am a highly experienced electronic repair technician. I just rebuilt a Shark Rotator Professional lift-away vacuum. Of course users fail to replace or clean all three filters causing loss of suction. Cleaning these with warm water and dawn dish soap works best. The unit claims to have thermal monitoring protection on the brush roll base and its design is causing the complaints of failure to work on carpeting in consumer homes. There is no thermal sensor. It uses a D.C. motor to a circuit board where a series low ohm current drop resistor exists. When the motor is slowed , thwe motor draws more current which lowers the resistence in the moter resistor series circuit causing increased voltage drop on the resistor triggering the circuit and activating the motors disconnect relay turning off motor. Although it does much to protect the motor in case of armature freezing with current applied. It makes the consumer unhappy because they cant vacuum carpets as they expect to paying almost 400 dollars for this nice vacuum. The fast fix is simply taking a soldering iron and lifting on side of the feed back silicon diode and reassembling unit. Now you will find the brush roll attachment actually works and does an awesome cleaning job on any carpet. Be sure to use caution and not pick up things that will jam the brush roller and break the belt. If this happens please turn off vacuum unplug and remove obstruction from brush roller. Then plug back in and finish vacuuming. I hope this helps others, mine is now issue less and working awesome.MissTiffany2025

Okay, this vacuum cleaner is actually FUN to run! It’s lightweight and very flexible. The long wand makes getting corners, cracks and crevices a breeze. Only drawback is the base will tip over if you stretch the hose too far, so keep an eye on it as you use the wand. Cleaning stairs is easy with the “Lift Away” feature. The NV501 has strong suction and durability. Do your regular maintenance as other reviews have mentioned, and store it properly. It’s super easy to take apart when needed. I accidentally sucked up a microfiber cloth once, but was able to open the hose at the right spot and pull the cloth right out. We’ve had our NV501 for almost a decade and still no problems. Have purchased this particular model as gifts for friends and family. Highly recommended.DB

I’ve had this model for about 5 years and yes occasionally you’ll have to cut some hair off the powdered brush if you have long hair or girls around or just heavy traffic I guess but that takes literally 20 seconds. Grab a pair of scissors, cut the hair and pull it out. Any vacuum with a brush is going to eventually wrap up hair! The vacuum has one killer motor, it cleans like nothing I’ve ever seen. I’m continuously impressed by the vast amount of dander, dust, and allergens it grabs every single time! I love how the handle comes off to clean small areas such as my couch cushions, behind furniture, etc. (I have this model which cane with ALL the attachments so I may have paid a bit more but it was definitely worth it) the only other difference is the colors. Mine has dark blue where the red is shown. I absolutely love how I can detach the base when going up stairs as shown in the photo. I don’t use the tiny “car part cleaners” which also came with the bulk of attachments but I guess it’s there if I were to ever need it. My fav attachment is the smaller roller brush that literally eats every cat hair off my dining room chairs and wherever else I need it. Anyway I suppose I could go on but you get my drift. By the way of course after awhile the vacuum will accumulate dust around the base and hose (I’ve seen someone post photos here of their dirty vacuum lol) but it’s a vacuum! It’s going to get dirty! My last thought pertains to the newest model I believe, the NV1000 with the “self cleaning brush” or double brush very bulky looking one. Although I haven’t used it, I personally don’t think it is going to sell much in the end. I say that with regards to the current reviews and complaints along with the marketing aspect in mind. What I conclude is just logical: once again as long as there is a revolving brush or in this case 2 rolling brushes, in time there WILL BE a hair issue as long as there are women, girls, and pets around. Don't sleep on this little monster! I have a two story house with carpet in the bedrooms (4) and in the bonus room. All other floors are hard. I also have 3 dogs that don't mind losing their hair everywhere!! I was doubtful when I took it out of the box, however to my surprise this little vacuum did it's job and did it well! I did have to empty the container more often but that just told me that it was getting what it needed to get! I can get under my couch without moving it due to the tilt function on the arm. When I take the arm off it sucks the dirt on my stairs w/ minimal effort! The only complaint I have is the battery doesn't last very long 🙁 (which is the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars) other than that don't look for anything else because you will be disappointed!Tracey

Ok, look. Since I got this vacuum, I vacuum my house much more than I did before. Not to make myself look bad, but it's true. (Like, MUCH more.) This vacuum is lightweight! I don't break a sweat pushing it back and forth like I do with my old vacuum. (Anyone else? Just me?) I can carry it to the second floor, and back down, no problem. This vacuum is versatile! It's like 15 vacuums in one! Ok, exaggeration, but there are so many different ways to configure this thing. It's big! It's small! Now it's got a brush! Now a hose! With the multitude of attachments and configurations, I am able to vacuum under and behind my cast iron radiators with ease. WITH EASE!!! This vacuum can tilt and roll flat to vacuum under beds and couches and other low-to-the-ground things. This vacuum is cordless! Oh boy, I love this part! I can start in the living room, and make my way through every room on the first floor without stopping, just rolling that sucker (heehee) under, and behind, and through until it's time to do the second floor. It's bliss. This vacuum is easy to clean! I've made a habit of emptying the dust collector after each use, which is, quite literally, just pushing a button. (I also charge it after each use, so that my blissful run through the house isn't interrupted by a dead battery.) Once a week or so (…..or when I remember to), I disassemble the dust collector and clean each part right in my kitchen sink. Everything comes apart, and, more importantly, goes back together, pretty easily. I enjoy this vacuum so much, I have actually gushed about it to my friends. A perfect upgrade from my old stick vacuum. Better suction, more power, touch control, beautiful color. Stick attachment is extendable, battery is detachable and can be recharged separately. The top section has a touch panel and shows a bright status of battery. Dustbin can be easily emptied with just one button release. Came nicely packaged with multiple attachments and 2 filters! POWERSERIES+™ Cordless Stick Vacuum We were looking for an affordable all-in-one vacuum that can be used on carpet and hard floors, lightweight, high suction power, cordless, easy to hold & clean, long-lasting warranty. Many criteria, isn't it? When I received this cordless stick vacuum, I first used that on a carpet, and you can't believe it sucked up so much dust from the cleaned carpet! I couldn't believe it and tried to use that in a different room and after using it I realized that the one I was using earlier was the heaviest & noisy and did not capture the microparticles which this little gem did on the very first use. Being lightweight you will love to use that more often. The only thing I expected more was a little more tank capacity so it holds more dust. Just check the video I uploaded to see the result!Rahul

This vacuum is incredible! Things I love about it: – It is so light, and sucks up stuff so easily and well. You can press it twice for more suction. – The coolest part is there is a light on it so you actually see everything you're vacuuming up. I thought my floor was clean and then I used this vacuum- I couldn't believe how much was there that I couldn't see without the light and how it got up all the dog hair and dust so easily. It's such an awesome idea to have the small light on it- I've never seen that before. – It can lay flat so you can put it all the way under the couch or bed if it's raised up abt 3 or 4" off ground and you can turn it really easily to get edges. I've always had to wipe under the furniture so this is so nice and easy. – it automatically switches suction when you go over carpet vs wood from sensing it. – I LOVE that it's battery operated. the battery seems to last long- I vacuumed the whole downstairs and the charge was still there. I've just been plugging it in to charge every time I put the vacuum back so I'm not sure how long it lasts but seems to last pretty long. – my kids want to vacuum now bc they love seeing all the stuff with the light that gets cleaned up!!! Ha ha! It's really made vacuuming so much better and our floors are so much cleaner! Here's a before and after pic to give you an idea. Overall this is a great product. We have a lot of slate which is a bit bumpy but the vac handles it very well. When transitioning to carpet this is where it had a problem and the roller popped out. Now I just turn it off when I go from slate to carpet to area rugs. It does not like long shag so I’ll use my regular vac for those. A great feature is the headlight and that it feels almost self propelled, the maneuverability getting under things like a bed is fabulous. The fact that it’s a comfortable weight and no cord has tended to make me use it on my carpet three times a week, in fact I’ve not used my regular vacuum since receiving this. Everything else was nice for this vacuum, problem is the power. Trigger function would work for a second and then turn off. Going to give another try with an exchange for an operable item.Kristen
