This Kenmore vacuum is a piece of Junk. I would give it zero stars but that is not an option. We had a Kenmore vacuum that was awesome for 20 years before it finally died. We thought we could buy the Kenmore BC4026 as a replacement. Wrong. The vacuum has been redesigned with none of the utility of our previous vacuum. The BC4026 is bulky and heavy making it difficult to get in tight to reach places. The end of the wand has a huge locking mechanism for attachments, which makes it impossible to vacuum along baseboards. I used our old Kenmore to vacuum the car interior, but the BC4026's handle is huge which makes it cumbersome to reach tight car interior spaces. Also, the hose swivel that attaches to the vacuum is not the L-shaped fitting shown on the box, so it does not swivel and keep a low profile like it should. This make maneuvering and storage of the vacuum difficult. They have plastic fittings on the BC4026's telescoping wand that make it difficult to extend. The old design was much better. Our old Kenmore vacuum was smaller and more streamlined with the same vacuum power making it more functional and a better design than the BC4026. Bottom line is that the BC4026 was not designed for its intended purpose of being a household vacuum.Michael

Overall this is a decent canister vacuum but the motorized vacuum head is of an ackward design. In order to vacuum more than a foot under furniture, you have to get down on your knees and move the motorized head in arcs left and right; the joint at which it attaches to the control handle prevents it from moving straight ahead without tilting up so that the agitator and suction end no longer makes contact with the carpet. If you move it to the left, the head may detach due to a poorly designed release lever on the left side; designed to make it easy to remove with your foot but making vacuuming under a bed a long and difficult process to get full coverage. I found myself having to reach repeatedly under the bed to retrieve the disconnected head. I was able to modify that release lever slightly by tightening the screw that attaches it but it is still an arduous task to vacuum under a bed; which was the main reason we bought a canister vacuum! You have to sweep in arcs and make sure you get coverage. This would be difficult for someone who has trouble laying down on their knees, pitching themselves forward and moving the wand back and forth in arcs. On the plus side, the "pet" motorized head is great for vacuuming carpeted stairs; no pet required to make good use of it.Jeffrey

My Review of Vacuum: First thing to know is that our household has 5 Dogs and 3 Cats. So you can imagine the amount of pet hair we have to deal with all the time. Now, the setup of the vacuum was very easy, and the options to choose from are Brilliant. There are Attachments for every vacuum job in the house. Then, there are 6 – Types of Suction to choose from. The revolving brushes do an incredible job of separating each strand of rug. This allows the vacuum to remove stubborn pet hair easily. One of my Favourite things about the vacuum is the level of the sound it creates, is good and Quiet. The room I had decided to run my test with was the one with the worst amount of hair. No other vacuum I had owned in my 50 years of life was ever able to remove the deeper hair from within that room. This vacuum, not only removed all the pet hair, but I only needed to the one Dust Bag. I had forgotten how nice that rug was, and now it is very clean and elegant once again. All of the pet hair on our couch and chairs were removed with ease. I have never had any actual judgment for any of my prior vacuums before, but this one I take pleasure in using it; I think highly of the options for each different job. There are no jobs that it can not do. I don’t even have to change Attachments to go onto the next room which is Hardwood Flooring, as the options for the rotating brushes are easily turned off. Also, the convenient compact size allowed for easy movement to each room. Over all I can no longer see myself without this vacuum in my life. I had an upright Miele for 10 years and it finally died. Since they do not make uprights any longer, I purchased this with some hesitation. However, just as salesperson told me, it took me a bit but now2 I love it. It is so much lighter to move around. the pick up after my 3 indoor aussies is awesome. I love it!TERRY

I purchased used, so I expected some wear and dirt, but this thing was filthy. There were no bags (one bag wouldve been nice). I had to use a shop vac to clean the inside of the canister because it looked like a bag exploded in there. Then, I had make a trip to a specialty vacuum store to buy bags. Now, once that was all over, I have to say those Germans know whats up. This is the best vacuum Ive ever owned. I bought this to replace an almost 20 year old Oreck from when Mr. Oreck owned and ran the company. It was a tall bar to clear, but the Meile exceeded expectations. Its heavy and unwieldy, but Im sure Ill get used to that. The suction and carpet fluffing are amazing and made me rethink the need for new carpets in the kids rooms. That can wait a few more years. Let me start this review by saying that I have purchased and used a lot of vacuums in my day. For the last couple of years I’ve been using the Shark Vertex Powered lift away. I love that machine, but still missed having a canister. I had been seeing the Shark Canister Pet vacuum advertised on line and a couple days ago decided to purchase, and I’m so glad I did. The first thing I noticed when trying it out for the first time was how powerful it is. The suction power is unbelievable. I also love that it has 3 speeds of suction power. The beater brush has two speeds. Low and high. High is recommended for carpet while low is recommended for hardwood floors. The power head has fins mixed with bristles and does an excellent job at removing dust and dirt from floors. My favorite thing about this vacuum is how lightweight it is. I literally can pick the canister up by its handle with one finger. The controls for this vacuum are conveniently located on the handle. This particular canister vacuum comes with two attachments. A decent sized crevice tool and a nice upholstery tool. The power head comes with the unit as well. I tried my attachments from my vertex lift away and they fit and work with the canister! The canister glides on 4 caster wheels and moves great. It also has a 25 ft retractable cord. The Shark Canister Pet is a high quality vacuum that’s lightweight and easy to maneuver. I give this vacuum an A+! In my humble opinion Shark makes the best household vacuums on the market today! I truly love all three of my Shark vacuums, and wouldn’t want any other vacuum! This is my first canister vacuum. I can't say how it compares to other canisters but it's an amazing vacuum. This vacuum has incredible suction. Far better suction than any other vacuum I have owned. I am actually quite shocked at how much this can pick up. I have cats so I needed a good vacuum to pick up all of the hair in my home. It has easy to use buttons on the handle for changing the suction level or cleaning modes. The MultiFLEX is a great addition and allows for easy cleaning under furniture. The no hair wrap brushroll is a lifesaver! I hated having to cut hair from the roller on my other vacuums. I get so much hair caught on those and this one never gets hair stuck on it. It's easy to empty and holds more than my other vacuums so I can make less trips to empty it. The wand is extremely long and can reach further than any other wand I have used, making it great for getting up high near ceilings. The attachments work well for crevices and removing pet hair from furniture. There are super bright LED lights so I can see if I am missing anything while I vacuum. This can be used with the canister wheeled on the ground or carried. It is lightweight and easy to carry up stairs or around furniture. The wheels work well to pull across the floor as well. It isn't as maneuverable as a standard upright and works best in open spaces unless the canister is being carried. It's just what comes with using a canister compared to an upright. The retracting cord is a huge improvement over having a cord that needs wound up after use. Overall, I am thrilled with this vacuum. It cleans incredibly well and is so easy to use.thisgirl00

I have been using this shark bagless pet pro canister vacuum for some time now. With 3 pets who shed nonstop I'm always in the market for the greatest and newest vacuums available to help me keep the hair down and the allergies away. The vacuum has a great section not just using the hand tools but also in the floor roller itself. As someone with long hair one of my greatest battles is trying to get mine off the roller using my old vacuums didn't matter style or brand. This bagless canister vacuum also comes equipped with self cleaning paddles leaving me more time to get other things accomplished. Let's just say I was astonished at how much was pulled from my rugs when I regularly vacuum weekly sometimes 2 to 3 times. One of the better features that I've seen on it that's not mentioned is it actually runs more quiet than other vacuums I have used. The hand tools are great the only thing that I seem to have an issue with is the awkward positioning of the tubing maybe if it was a bit thinner a bit longer it would be easier but sometimes when you're walking around it'll flip the vacuum itself and turn itself off because it has 2 different ways to power it on and off. I do appreciate the actual hand tool or hand grip having its own power button and also button and also being able to choose from the hand tool whether it's hardwood floors or carpeting forces having to use a foot to change the setting. I definitely recommend if you have pets pets with short hair long hair or if you're like me have super long hair.AshleyC.

Got this because my wife loves purple. No greater reason to buy a vacuum cleaner than the color. It works great on non-carpeted floors but is impossible to move on carpet. Good thing it's for a home without carpet. Everything works fine except the hose falls apart. You are vacuuming away and suddenly the head is on the floor and you are pushing an incomplete hose. I fixed that with a piece of masking tape around the top of the head piece. Shouldn't have to gerry rig a new vacuum in my opinion.No Body You Know!

I always used Bissell canisters for the easy conversion and parts sharing between machines(since we use them a lot). As Bissells age, the motors naturally get a bit less efficient, and that's expected. The Bissell Zing was a huge mistake. I had to duct tape all of the extension hose connections just to use it at all. Now I can't use it for small crevice jobs unless I rip it all off and retape constantly. It needs a click and lock function on the extension adaptors. It may not be as much of an issue as it ages and it can't lift a cotton ball, but new, it has suction that rips the plain plastic extensions that attach the heads, off onto the floor. I'm going to go with a more pricey manufacturer now. This Green thing is going in the garbage. I had a feeling the price was too good to be true. If you have a roll of duct tape and never plan on using the extensions and only use floor head, or never plan to use extensions and floor head, it will be fine for you and has great suction for that. If you need to ever use the floor features, it may be irritating and require taping. OH LOOK, MADE IN CHINA. Now everything makes sense.Brandy Lewis

I love the Bissell Zing. For the money it works very well. My only complaints are that it is all plastic. While it makes the vacuum light, its durability is questionable. Also the hose has no way of staying on to the floor tool. You push it on and hope for the best. I can see this being a problem in time and also a frustration. One other thing, the electric cord is very short. For the cost in todays world it is very good but you barley get what you pay for these days! My expectations aren't very high! I wish there was a company that would take pride in the fact that they give the consumer a well made product, at a fair cost, that would last longer then a year. I know, by doing this you wouldn't make huge profits but you would still make healthy profits and loyal customers! It would also help the environment with keeping waste at a minimum! PROS: easy to empty-easy to carry-uses standard 1.25 inch diameter attachments-versatile-uses same battery as my other dewalt tools-good suction for a hand held vacuum-decent battery run time CONS: does not come with any attachments-No on-board tool storage-no blower option like many shop vacs have-exhaust blows out the sides and often blows around the stuff you are trying to vacuum up( found a remedy for this on e bay)-on/off switch is in a goofy spot and sometimes gets bumped while vacuuming OVERALL, this is a nice little vacuum for around the house quick cleanups and will be nice for the camper too. For times when I don't want to lug out my large shop vac for quick clean ups, and even liquid spills, this cordless DeWalt vacuum is fantastic. It's got enough power to do the intended work, and the design makes it simple to just grab, snap on a battery, and use. Being able to detach the hose to get into smaller spots, is a bonus, so I can do a quick vac of my cars or get between cabinets in the garage. I also love that it's a wet vac. When household spills happen I can spray some cleaner scrub the area, and suck up the mess with this right away. It's quick and easy to empty the bin, just one quick latch, brush off the filter dump it out and back ready to work it is. If you need a BIG capacity vacuum, get one, but this one has been great for most messes and quick pickups I've done. Run time depends on which DeWalt battery you use, I have different ones from 2ah to 6ah, and I've never had to swap a battery yet during use. I just Love Vacuums ! It could have more power, maybe there will be an XR version eventually. It's very portable and it's great that the hose comes off the end if need be. It's perfect for a vehicle or around the house sucking up stuff you don't want in your household vacuum. Even a 2 AH battery does well enough on the unit. Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. The vacuum is a lemon…complete waste of the time and money spent.Card Lady

It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail

Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

Pretty good, but not without some relatively minor flaws. Battery life is respectable, very powerful for its size. Presumably because of how low the filter housing sits in the dust canister, it clogs up beyond use long before you are anywhere close to collecting anything significant in the dust canister. The first few times I went to vacuum saw dust, I could hear the filter getting clogged, opened the canister and it was almost entirely empty, not even a small layer of material. However I shook out the filter into the dust canister and left quite a size-able pile. I understand this unit was meant for small cleanup jobs, not heavy duty, but I can help but think a small diverter installed at the inlet tube, or around the lower half of the filter itself would help this issue significantly. I will continue to use this vacuum, but it could have been a leap above the rest if this small issue was addressed.Charl C

FWIW, I have the Ryobi 18v vac also, so my expectations were it would be the same. It’s not, not only is it a cool as heck brick that works with the system I don’t have, but it sucks…. Pun intended, it truly does suck better than the Ryobi, I can suck up nails, screws, rocks and all sorts of heavier stuff that my other struggles with even on a clean filter. But the best part is how darn compact it is, the hose embeds in the side like some parasite and you can switch input to output giving you the ability to air up a boat inner tube in like 2.3 seconds. This is a nice little vacuum – it has a ton of suction, WAY more than my old yellow 18v vacuums, even on 110v… very compact, easy to use. I am giving it three stars because the lid is flimsy. It actually arrived broken… even a little pressure from something on top of it distorts the plastic and pushes it down and out. The other side is showing signs of fatigue as well. Secondly, the lid latches are incredibly fragile. I am almost afraid to latch/unlatch them…. they just feel cheap. The latches on the bottom container are almost as bad and I fully expect that they will not last long. Just thin, cheap plastic. Lastly… why would you NOT mold Packout feet onto the bottom? Total swing and a miss here that would cost you nothing and make the tool way more functional.5oh86

I was pleasantly surprised how much more power this little thing has. The suction is great not like the old hand held vacs. that plugged it the cigarette lighter in your car. This is a noticeable improvement. It's lightweight easy to handle and maneuver in tight and hard to reach areas. One of the unique things is nozzle extends out if needed to reach under chairs or car seats. Included is a small attachable brush and a little beater brush that helps to pull out pet hair from carpet or rugs. That attachment is of course made of plastic so I don't think it's made for big jobs like stairs or large rugs. I used it for mostly for upholstered furniture and car seats. It's very handy to have especially when a quick clean up is needed. I pull it out and run over the sofa to make sure there isn't any pet hair on it. Also you can even run over your clothes to get rid of hair or lint. The see through dust bin is easy to empty. The paper filter is recommended to be replaced after 6-9 months. Make sure your check the filter before your first use. Mine was ajar probably during shipping. It has a 2 year warranty and a 30 money back guarantee. I was surprised at how well this tiny vacuum works! I was looking for something quick and easy to vacuum my couches and this fit the bill! Not only is it small but it packs power. I have a dog that loves to lay on the back of the couches and this little vacuum makes it so easy for daily clean up of dog hair. It gets all the dog hair up and makes the couches look brand new! I. I have a very large golden retriever, so I was anxious to try this pet hand vacuum through the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. This replaces an old B+D Dustbuster that didn't have very good suction. This comes with a small base that we mounted on the wall with 2 screws. It is a cordless unit, however it needs to be plugged in, in order to charge. There are basically 2 ways to use this vacuum – the first is like a traditional hand vacuum and the second is with a detachable, motorized "pet head" with rubber tines that helps get pet hair up. I noticed some hair gets wrapped up in the tines, but it is easy to pull out/remove. It is very powerful and much more efficient than the hand vacuum that it replaces. There are however some key design flaws, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We discovered after we mounted it on the wall that the power plug connects to the unit itself, not the base. That means every time you use it, you need to unplug it from the power source, then you need to plug it back in for charging after use. When you use it, you can really feel a very strong wind tunnel shooting out of both sides of it. This is annoying when you are vacuuming in tight quarters, like a vehicle. It literally blows right in your face. I don't notice it as much if I'm just vacuuming the floor, or a rug. Another issue I'm finding is that when I empty the chamber after use, the air filter always falls out in the trash. You have to be very careful in order for this not to happen. Overall I am happy with how strong of a suction it has and how much hair it actually picks up, but I think it needs some improvements to be 5 star worthy.phonequestion

So I've owned a Ball Animal 2 for about 3 yrs and have had a love/hate relationship with it. And having owned the Ball Animal 3 for almost a month now, I can honestly say I still have a love/hate relationship with this brand. I purchased the Animal 3 because I was glad to finally see that Dyson opted to change the Cleaning Head to what the UK variant has had for awhile now, which is having a carpet height selector. Now I really have to say that the Animal 3 has so much better suction with having the carpet height selector, but that also has a negative that I've found. I find it very difficult to turn now compared to the Animal 2 which turned on a dime. I will for sure keep it as I don't want to jump through the hoops of returning it, but I don't believe I will be making any future Dyson vacuum purchases in the future after this experience. The cost of these vacuums is very much on the high side and with that you would expect that they would do their own inhouse study/testing and they seem to have failed at this. In the end it basically comes down to the fact that the negatives outweigh the positives when compared to what you expect when making such an expensive purchase. Yes the suction is probably the best you'll ever have with any vacuum on the market BUT with negative costs. Being a "BALL" vacuum and unlike the Animal 2 that could turn easily, this thing is a major struggle to turn… NOT GOOD! The Animal 3 also has the same issues like the Animal 2 in that trying to use the hose is a chore on it's own. The suction is just so strong that you basically need to have the vacuum right next you or end up having to do things like… prop the vacuum around the corner of a wall and then stretch out the hose while also having some decent arm and upper body strength to do so with even minimal comfort. The "Cyclone" portion of the vacuum is a very poor design. Due to a common static charge while vacuuming, it allows for dust to build up in massive clumps within the Cyclone piece. You need to constantly bang the heck out of this piece while over a trash can in order to keep it even somewhat clean. And they don't make it so the Cyclone can be easily disassembled for cleaning which is a huge disappointment and failure within it's design. I also find it upsetting that even though Dyson offers a TON of accessories for these upright models… they don't offer one of the most common of accessories… a basic dusting brush! Yes it comes with a combo tool for crevice and dusting. They even offer a wide variety of other dusting attachments… ones that can twist for angled dusting, one that can bend etc etc… but then not your basic common everyday short dusting brush that's found on 99.9% of vacuums since they were invented. Really boggles my mind. No lie… since I still have the Animal 2, I took the combo tool from that one and ended up cutting off basically 80% of the crevice tool portion to make my own "basic short dusting brush!". Dyson if your listening: You should have listened to your customer base and address the issue with the hose being difficult to use. I'm sure there has to be a solution… maybe a hose that's not as stiff? Look into my "home modification" of the basic short dusting brush and release a factory version. And please look into the problem of the Animal 3 being so much harder to turn compared to the Animal 2.MotionMan

Dyson products seem to always be ones made to delight. I really enjoyed this vacuum which is an upgrade for my family over a Dyson – Cinetic Big Ball Animal Bagless Upright Vacuum – Iron/Purple that purchased from Best Buy 6 years ago. 6 years later and Dyson's vacuums are still amazing, this one has strong suction that you expect from the name and is somewhat smaller and more compact that the predecessor. I think it runs quieter too although I have not used the deicbel app to compare quantitatively. The smaller size means that there are spots in the corners and around furniture that are now easier to vacuum than before but the head itself sits taller, tall enough that I can no longer vacuum underneath the chairs and couches. The reason for the change in headsize is actually the main draw of this vacuum — the head has been completely redesigned so as to prevent the bunching of pet hair within the bristles. As we have a dog and two cats sharing the house with us, this has been a pain point in the past. Even our dysons need to be taken apart and cleaned of fur at least every 6 weeks so that they continue to run smooth. The early results from a weekend of vaccuming are very promising: the bristles are still out-of-the-box new despite several passes over our house that had gone embarrasingly long between vacuums prior delivery of a new machine. I'm hopeful that this is another part of cleaning that Dyson has made slightly easier.BostonBru

My experience with this rendition of their Ball design bears that out, and I've been largely pleased with it. The Animal version of the Ball is marketed specifically at people with pets, to clean up the hair from carpets and furniture. I find it's also handy if you or the people you live with have long hair. In general, it cleans quite well. It has very powerful suction and the power bar base has three settings for deep pile carpet, normal carpet, and hard floors. The power bar itself can also be toggled on and off. I found it cleaned my carpets quite well, though cleaning my hardwood left a little to be desired ( the instruction manual recommends turning the power bar off for this, I'm not sure why ). It also has a very generous cord length. And though Dyson created the Ball design specifically to make it easier to steer the vacuum around corners and obstacles, I find it much stiffer to turn than other current swivel head vacuums. I appreciate Dyson's design in the vacuum. It's fairly modular, making it relatively easy to service and maintain yourself, provided you can get a replacement part. The filters are washable so you can reuse them instead of constantly buying new replacements. It also keeps things slim and trim so the vacuum is a little more compact than other full-size uprights. This particular model also comes with two extra attachment tools. One is an upholstery brush/cleaner, the other is a pet grooming tool that's supposed to suck up the shedded hair as you brush. How well your pet will handle being brushed near a vacuum remains to be seen. But sometimes I think it tries to be too clever. It uses a friction snap instead of a pedal to release the vertical lock. It's usually fine, but it also means you can accidentally release the upright lock when you don't want to, like if you want to tilt the vacuum back and roll it somewhere or even if you pick it up and then set it down. The extension wand is stored inside the hose in the main column. This is nice for reducing the exterior dimensions, but it also means you have to unwind the entire cord and slide out the entire wand when you want to do some quick spot cleaning. You can detach the wand from the hose if you don't need or want the reach, like in a small corner or nook, but in those moments where you just want to quickly clean up some cookie crumbs or dust bunnies, it's more involved than you might be used to. The main handle is also reversed to accommodate the extension wand, putting the main column below your hand instead of above it when you're using the vacuum. This means the vacuum tilts back farther than others when using it. For myself, I found my legs and knees bumped into main unit a lot since it was now leaning more toward me. Most of these complaints are small quirks, admittedly. They may or may not matter to you. All in all, it's a well built vacuum, it cleans well, and it stores easily. It does have a few quirks and the "exhaust" air is quite hot, but these are minor complaints on an otherwise great vacuum.Jaron

My house can be pretty hectic- we have 4 (soon to be 5) young kiddos, 3 puppies, and 4 cats. Cleaning is something that happens all day long, pretty much constantly. One of the biggest pain points is keeping the floors clean because try as we might, if our youngest isn't trying to eat something off the floor, the puppies will. Enter the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum. This thing has legitimately been life changing. If you have pets, I'm sure you have fought with vacuuming, or sweeping, up their hair. As soon as you get close to it, the hair blows away. Not with this vacuum. I don't know what kind of magical technology they put in this thing but it actually attracts and vacuums up the hair, it doesn't blow it away. Additionally, something both amazing and quite terrifying, the light on the front of the vacuum makes hair and any sort of floor debris stand out like it's a beacon. It makes it super easy to ensure that all the hair and debris is cleaned up because you can't help but notice it with the light. It's terrifying because it shows just how much hair is truly shed, which is way more than you initially imagine. I should note that my floor is probably 75% hardwood, 15% vinyl planks, and 10% carpet. The way this thing changes the height of the brush automatically is phenomenal. I can move from room to room with such ease. I have another pretty high end vacuum ($500) and this one beats it every single time. I can vacuum an area with my other vacuum and then go through with this one and the amount of stuff it picks up is phenomenal. The one and only downside to this vacuum is that it does not flatten/recline back very far so cleaning under tables and chairs can be a challenge. You can use the extension and the attachments to reach these areas, but it would be way more convenient if you could just do it with the vacuum. I received the Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel program. Bissell has always been a favorite brand for floor care but this tops them all! The Bissell Surface Sense Upright vacuum is intuituve, by sensing between hard floors & carpet. Making it a breeze to vacuum all your floors, & even gets the debris along edges well too. Or this function can be switched off to run the brush continuously. It almost drives itself & takes little effort to push around the house even on the thickest of carpets.The handle can be removed to expose the wand for the versatile, convenient, & very useful attachments. My favorite is the uniquely shaped crevice tool that also has a led light that helps you see those hidden places, & get them clean. But I absolutely love the tangle free brush roll. Despite having a long hair dog, 3 adults with hair to their waist, & 5 young kids, I never had to pull hair from the brush, & only had to empty the canister, as I despise cleaning hair. The canister is big enough to vacuum multiple rooms, & is simple to remove to dump without leaving a mess behind. When removed, you can also access 2 different filters, one on top of the canister, on underneath which makes for an ultimate clean. It also has suction control on the handle which makes it convenient to switch to the best settings for different areas. Overall, it is very accessible, & versatile making an upgrade on performance, & design that makes this Bissell Surface Sense Upright Vacuum, the best Bissell yet!Carollucy303

My first impression was that the vacuum was smaller than I excepted. The container is smaller than what I was looking for and dog hair gets trapped easily in the filter. For reference I have a Labrador. After just about two weeks of using the machine I started smelling a burning smell like plastic. I took the bottom cover off and discovered TONS of dog hair trapped in the side crevices of the brush roller ends. The brush rolled end was getting torn up. This is just after a few uses after two weeks of purchase. I’m so disappointed as I liked the other features such as the LED lights and the maneuverability of the machine. Super disappointed as I own three other Bissell’s. Unfortunately this will be returned.Amy

POSITIVES… weight (LACK of!), maneuverability, carpet tangle free roller-brush, wand handle, liftoff pod/canister, filtration, bag less, one button emptying of canister/Pod, bright LED 'driving lights', ease of operation, ease of assembly, power-cord that isn't as big and CLUMSY as a garden hose on a cold Michigan morning and the three NOS stages/kits. BUT… I wish there was a tube 'extension' for the wand handle and a traditional HARDWOOD floor brush accessory available to better VAC under WIDE beds. Maybe in the future. This BISSELL was the winner of FOUR makes painstakingly considered and replaced a 'straight' axle, 'hardtail' HOOVER Windtunnel 7500 which weighs almost as much as my GMC pickup truck and has been a family FAVE since Eisenhower was President (or, so it seems). That Hoover is and was a great machine for its era and ALL its subsequent 'decades' of use. Okay, OKAY, I made up the part about the Nitrous (NOS) oxide kits…BoatOn

This is an excellent purchase. It is lightweight which I love. I use this upstairs on my hardwood floors and small throw carpets. It sure beats having to lug my regular vacuum up and down 2 flights of steps! It has great suction on hardwood and carpet. Don't hesitate, it is a great buy.latt

I bought this to replace a 2-in-1 stick vacuum thats handle broke. I bought the Dirt Devil Express Lite because not only was it lightweight for me to handle, had a removable hands free dust buster, it also had a roller brush I can use for area rugs and gets in the edges of the carpet along the wall. The price was about the same as the one I had with less features, so it was a great value for the price. After putting it together I realized it also has another valuable feature. The filter is rubber and can be rinsed to get rid of dust. No nasty cioth filter that never gets clean and holds odors. I have respiratory condition and this will keep my house dust free! I am so excited to have such a powerful, yet lightweight sweeper. It will meet all my needs!Psmithny2

I work full time and run an animal rescue. I needed a strong vacuum for the intake room and had NO time to put something together. To my surprise the unit literally snapped together! It also has a button to turn the broom off which I LOVE (makes me wonder about those reviews that said the broom quit, it's not advertised on box only instruction guide). I have a long and positive history with Miele vacuums. This one is very good and the variable suction option, responsive and dynamic swivel heads, and the little turbo head are all awesome. A few small issues with design/price point options ….unlike some other models, there are no power buttons on the hose handle forcing you to go back to the canister to turn on and off the unit and/or adjust suction which is a bit of a drag and I miss. Also the floor head is very very responsive. So sometimes it tips or swivels more than you want in some cases like tight corners or slightly rough flooring. Lastly, the motorized head-release and pile-selection buttons are designed with a profile that results in an operation similar to a fishing hook barb or arrow head. You can easily insert the head under a low piece of furniture but the buttons can get stuck when pulling back out. Little complaints. Suction is awesome. Light canister. Great maneuvering.Alice

I LOVE my Miele C3 Cat and Dog Canister Vaccum!!! It's everything I've ever hoped for. It's light but compact and very strong. The different settings are remarkable and my Cat isn't afraid when I turn it on!. The Stanley Wet/Dry Vacuum comes with several attachments and is quickly and easily assembled right out of the box. I love that it comes with a detailed owner’s manual and that there are resources for replacement parts and other assistance listed in the manual as well as on the box. It comes with a two-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. There are two different ports on the Stanley wet/dry vacuum, one for vacuuming up wet or dry messes and the other for blowing debris such as leaves. There are also two different filters, one for wet vacuuming and another for dry vacuuming. The caster dolly on the unit allows for convenient storage of the tools that can be attached to the vacuum’s hose. After assembly, I took it for a test run. I have not tried the wet vacuum or blower feature yet, but I did try the dry vacuum feature. The suction is powerful, and I was quickly able to clean a large area in no time. I used both extension wands, the crevice nozzle, and the utility nozzle. I was able to pick up fine debris, like dust particles and carpet fibers as well as larger debris. The unit was easy to empty after clean-up. This is our 3rd Shop Vac. My husband is so pleased with all the nice features on the Stanley along with it doing a great job. We love the large handle on the top that the cord wraps around. The switch is easy on or off. The handle and switch are bright yellow as are the latches on each side and the Stanley brand name on the Shop Vac. The colour makes the on/off switch so easy to see. The clamps on the side of the top and bottom are easy to open and close. The hose attachment is a lock in hose, i.e., it has a quick release feature where you press the front part of the hose that goes into the Vac that locks the hose into the Vac and will not come out for the feature where you suck things up or into the Vac. On the lid there is a hole for the hose to blow things. It locks into this hole also. We like the fact that the Stanley Poly Vac rolls so easily. This Stanley Wet/dry Poly Vac can be used inside the home with no worry about your floors or rugs being damaged. We could have used this after the recent hurricane when the plumbing failed in the tub (perhaps a coincidence) and all the water we filled the tub with leaked into our bedroom and was coming up through the wood floors. This Stanley Vac would have easily sucked up all that water and we could have used the blower to dry with instead of a hair dryer. Our other vacs are not as nice as this one and would have damaged our floors. We know that they damage tile floors as when we had our bathroom tiled the vac used by the tile man cracked some tiles and damaged the grout in several tiles. I am a Spark Reviewer for Walmart and was sent a free Stanley 10 Gallon 6 Peak horse power Wet/dry Poly Vac to review. I have to say that this is one solid, heavy duty wet/dry vacuum. Right out of the box you can see that the quality of the Stanley wet/dry vacuum lives up to the Stanley name. The wet/dry vacuum is large, with the castors attached it stands about 24 ½” high and is at its widest point 53” around. There are 4 large castors made of plastic wheels on metal bases which are very wide and sturdy making the vacuum very stable. With the wheels being plastic it won’t scratch your floors. The two side latches to keep the top on are wide and the top secures tightly. The power cord is very heavy duty and about 10’ long. The wet/dry vacuum comes with a 6’ hose and two 20” extenders to allow you a good reaching distance. Included is a filter for dry vacuuming and a foam filter for wet vacuuming, a crevice type attachment, a floor attachment, an attachment for general pickups, a disposable filter bag for drywall/plaster/soot particles and a garden hose adapter. With the exception of the hose extenders, all of the other attachments store nicely in the canister. The hose and adaptors are also made of heavy duty plastic and won’t scratch surfaces when working. All of the attachments and hose store neatly inside the canister for storage. Changing it over from a dry vacuum to a wet vacuum takes less than 10 minutes. The 6 horsepower motor is very powerful and the suction is very strong. When pressed against your hand it sucks in your skin, so this is something to be careful with around young children and pets. Like any other higher powered suctioning tool this does make a loud sound, which is about 2 to 3 times of your average vacuum cleaner. For wet vacuuming it has an automatic shut off for when your tank gets full and a drain near the bottom of the unit that unscrews for emptying. It even has a garden hose attachment and it is capable of being a blower to blow out water, dust, etc. This is a very useful extra that can help you prep a job area, which makes the Stanley 10 Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum actually 3 tools in one. Oh my goodness. I've been a housewife for nearly 30 years and I've spent countless hours vacuuming my home. I have never loved a vacuum before….EVER. This new Miele is a magnificent machine. First of all it's beautiful. It is designed so well. Every part clicks into place with such easy precision. Every part is very easily accessible and well made. The controls on the handles are genius. Pure genius. And performance?? WOW. Its quiet. There is NO smell or odor or dust when I vacuum!! I didn't realize all of these years how much my past vacuums put out dirt,dust,smells…YUCK! I'm 52 years old and I can vividly remember the smell that would come from our very expensive Kirby vacuum from my childhood. It always smelled like our dog….ewww! I'm so happy with my Miele that I have yet to put it away! I've used it everyday since it arrived and I love to just look at it! The retractable cord works seamlessly. The wand holders on the unit are fabulous. The power head brings tears to my eyes…..all of the choices for power level and height are wonderful. My home is 95% wood floors and we have many area rugs. I used to hate having to use different vacuums to clean either the wood floors or the rugs. Now my problem is solved. Instead of dreading vacuuming I'm delighted to plug in my miele!!!jewelrymama

It’s a transition for me to not see what I’ve picked up and wait for an indicator light to tell me when to change the bag, but I look forward to it! I previously had a bagless canister with another maker. The cord on this one practically gets me through my house. I was surprised how long it is. I was excited about the light, but it’s not what I expected because the light I needed was for the hard floors and it is only on the carpet attachment. Don’t get me wrong, as I love this vacuum! The park feature is awesome and easy to carry the vacuum or roll it. Most of all, the customer service is beyond anything I have ever experienced! Top notch! Thank you!Nicole

This is by far the very best vacuum I have ever owned and I suspect I will not have to buy another one again. The Uniq not only has strong suction, it also has suction control which allows me to fine tune the suction based on what I am cleaning. This vacuum is extremely quiet, so much so that I can use it in the early morning and not wake up my children. The bags are large and go a long way. Lots of finger tip controls and height adjustments for the big power head. It really does make my life easier when using this vacuum. I feel spoiled by my Miele UniQ but I am worth it.Elsa

I liked this vacuum but will warn you the hose attachment is very cheaply made. The vacuum itself has incredible suction power. Better then any hand held vacuum I have ever owned. I just don't like the hose and the floor attachment. So if you can deal or come up with a different hose to use it is outstanding. I would recommend it to my friends though.pheathman

I bought this 6 months ago and tried to get used to it, but don’t like it at all. It is hard to push. I have it on the max setting and still harder to push on normal carpet. The attachments often fall off when in normal use. I had heard great things about simplicity, however, they had an older model. This newer one doesn’t compare. Unfortunately, iI am very unhappy with the user friendly aspect of it. I would not recommend.Jill

I have had this vacuum for about a year. I bought it because of the dog hair I contend with on a daily basis. It does an amazing job and the fact that it has a bag is a big plus. I always thought bagless was the way to go because of convenience, but this unit proves that thought was completely wrong. You won't be sorry if you buy this vacuum. Suction seems good but I have had this vacuum a week and it's driving me crazy bc I can't get the wand to stay in it's holder while I'm vacuuming .. if I bend to go under a desk or table the wand will fall out .. sure seems like this is a poor design… Why can't the wand fit more snug in it's holder so it doesn't fall out every 5 seconds? How much suction is it losing bc the fitting is soooo loose?? Surely I'm not the first person to have this issue?! Wish I could return this. 🙁PamC
