Okay so I read the reviews and got nervous, but I’m here to be honest with you. A lot of the buyers expected this to be a Dyson and if you’re expecting that then no this isn’t for you. I got this vacuum because ours broke 3 days before Christmas and I wanted something cheap to hold us over in between paychecks as we are having people over. We have a house with all hardwood and linoleum floors, a messy two year old, a big hairy dog, and a hard working man who constantly forgets to take his boots off at the door. Could this be our main vacuum? Heck no! It cleans small visible messes and wasn’t very great for dog hair or fabric surfaces but it was good for the kitchen crumbs and chunks of dirt from his boots. So here we go Pros: – small lightweight – cleans small visible messes – inexpensive – not very durable so don’t be rough Cons: – not great for dog hair or Christmas tree needles – cord isn’t very long – no where to put extra pieces – not great on carpet So let’s recap. This is NOT the vacuum you want the cleaning person to show up with to do a deep clean. This is the swiffer of vacuums, it’s meant to be that in between cleaner and can’t get all things. I like this stick vacuum, it's definitely bare bones, but it does a better than good job picking up dirt and dust. I only use it on hardwood floors, so cannot speak to the job it would do on carpet or rugs. I take 2 stars off because the connection of the canister that collects the dirt/dust does not properly seat into the motor section, so at times will spontaneously disconnect. There's a button that should pop out and secure it, but mine only pops out halfway. Also, the stick connection is tight and difficult to maneuver, so I usually just leave it in, making it awkward to disengage and empty the canister. Same with the floor attachment. If it were even slightly better made, I would recommend it more highly, of course it is inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.BB&B Customer

Just bought this Shark "Purple" Navigator vac on the recommendation of a friend who has one. First let me say I have owned at least a dozen vacs in my life including models from Hoover, Oreck, Pnansonic, Electrolux and a couple of industrial strength shop vacs. This one blows them all out of the ring. I have hardwood floors with large area rugs, mostly wool or synthetic Oriental and Arts and Crafts patterns. Despite the fact that I have regularly vacuumed them with my previous (and clearly wimpy) vacs, when I used this Navigator today I was completely shocked at how much dirt, pet fur, human hair and lint it pulled out of them. After one pass in my master bedroom the large dust cup was packed solid and I had to empty it. Same thing when I did the other bedroom and the 4 downstairs rooms. I completely filled a box the size of a footstool with the clumps of nasty grey fluzz the Navigator pulled deep out of the carpets. And it even pulled up the nap so they look fluffier. It's amazing how clean they look, like I just shampooed them! I feel like I have all new rugs though several of these are over 20 years old. Seriously, buy this vac, it's an excellent value. Do read all the instructions, though, because you need to know how to release all the latches and adjust the suction. The maximum suction is so high you may have to turn it down a little or it will literally pull lighter rugs up into the roller. Easy to adjust, this twist a ring around the handle. Got this today, was a breeze to assemble and get going. Picks up a lot of dirt and hair quickly, I like the no tangle bush as we have a longer hair dog, and my wife and daughter both have long hair which used to have to be cut from the beater bar of our old vac on a regular basis. This one has 3 filters so good for allergies, and the dual brushes which did very well on carpet and hardwood, getting a lot of the dust on the wood floor the old one couldnt get.Only a few things to note, the bin is a bit small and had to be dumped a lot because of pet hair, 3 times on our main living room. It is not the lightest vacuum but about the same as our old one. I wish it came with a cleaning brush head separate order… and had room on board for all the attachments instead of just 2. The head is low profile and fits places our old one would not, and it turns very well. Will see how well it holds up as the Dyson 07 it is replacing lasted us for 20 years and did a good job consistently. Just didnt want to pay top dollar for a Dyson again.3 months later and the vacuum is still doing a great job. We have not had any problems with hair wrap on the brush bar with our golden retrievers fur. Still have to dump the bin a lot with pet fur. Still miss that there was no standard brush attachment, but came with basically two upholstery brushes one powered, one not. About to order the standard long bristle cleaning brush so I can clean the air return and vents, be nice if the sizes were standard so I could just use the old ones from other vacuums. Another quick update, trying to find accessories like the dusting brush has been difficult. Shark does not carry one on their website, even though the owners manual says they do, and cant or wont tell you the dimensions needed. If youre looking for great suction, easy to clean dust bin and lights…then get this. However, if you have a bad back or arthritis, you may want to pass on this vacuum. I vacuum every day and will definitely get a work out while using this. But….I love the way it cleans and Im thinking the weight, sturdiness of this vacuum may make it last longer? When using the extension wand, the brush rollers stop, I know thats important for some. I do not use the lift-away feature, so I cant comment on that. So, love the vacuum and would recommend if you dont mind it being on the heavy side.Lisa

I owned a Dyson for around 12 years, but when it quit, Shark was highly recommended. I chose this model because it claimed to be good for pet owners, like many other models of the brand. I have to say that I've never been more disappointed in a vacuum. Here are some of the things I noticed: First off, it's awkward in regards to weight distribution. The thing tips over incredibly easy. Second, the cord is much shorter than what I was used to with the Dyson, meaning it had to be unplugged and moved around a lot. Third, it has to be emptied a lot. It just doesn't hold much, and is a mess to empty. Lastly, it's narrow head means it's going to take twice as long to cover the area you're working on. The worst part about this vacuum is that I just bought it in January (@ $179), and my carpet looks just awful. Almost right after vacuuming, you can't tell it was ever done, so the lack of cleaning over time has really aged my carpet that wasn't very old to begin with. I know this brand gets compared to Dyson all the time, with claims of equal or superior performance, but the people who say this couldn't possibly have actually owned a Dyson. They are not equal in any way, shape, or form. It's not even been a year and I'm already looking to replace it. I fear if I don't, I'll have to replace my carpet at a much larger cost.Burgster

I was blown away when I first got this vacuum in September 2018, in fact I think I wrote a review. It picks up pet hair more than the Dyson and Oreck I’ve owned. The furniture attachment is amazing at removing fur! However, 14 months later and I ended up here looking for Black Friday / Cyber Monday vacuum sales because mine is falling apart. That actually started fairly soon after purchasing, but it did such a great job I ignored it. I did call QVC in January I think, about the carpet attachment not working and was told to call Shark directly, whom I never was able to get ahold of due to wait times, time zone difference etc. So 4 months after buying a new 200 vacuum I was using my old Oreck on the few carpeted/rug areas of my house and just using the new Shark to de-fur the furniture and the wand attachment. And even that is not fun because it tips over every 2 seconds. It still picks up nicely but the plastic inside the canister is breaking, the hose is worn out and I’m tired of having to us two vacuums. So while the performance of this vacuum was good, it’s cheaply made exterior makes it not worth the trouble.EBL47

I regret buying this vacuum and paid over $200 at Menards in Lansing Michigan. If I could sell it I would! The cord at the base of the vacuum is in the wrong place. I am constantly tripping over it even if I try to secure it in the handle. Cleaning out the plastic bin is a mess I have to now put on gloves with a damp paper towel to clean it properly. I have long hair which when cleaning my hair is wrapped around the roller that I have to cut out and pull to remove it. The attachment/hose on the vacuum is to tight I have to hold the base and vacuum with the attachment in the other hand to prevent it from falling on the floor or hitting my legs. Just bought this because it is on sale. It is for my bissell replacement because the mid catcher on my bissell was lost. Overall this vacuum do what it does. However, I am not going to keep it because of reasons too important to ignore. This is a heavy unit. A lot more heavier than my old upright. Wife had difficulty lugging it up the stairs. It is complex to clean. If you just follow the instructions you are only cleaning some part of it, mainly the heavier dirt and hair, by releasing the bottom. Everything inside that canister, that red cone, that cylinder with the holes, everything that is part of the vacuum in there gather dirt. It has to be taken apart with a screwdriver to clean. The filter looks very nice but it will be a consumable part, will clog up in time and will need a new one, looks expensive to purchase and with vacuums, they go out of style and become obsolete. Might have a problem finding a new one in a couple years. The rewind cord is very weak. Had to step on the button and feed the cord in for it to retract. This is when it's new, I have no faith with it as it ages. It's a gimmicky feature. Nothing wrong with wrapping up a cord when done vacuuming. With this feature there is no hook to wrap the cord with when the rewind feature stops working.Old Dad

I was so excited to review this vacuum cleaner. Assemble was easy only required a Philips screw driver to attach the handle. I have 2 dogs and 1 cats vacuum is hands down the best vacuum I have owned for getting stubborn pet hair. I have a Lab Retriever dog that sheds hair a lot and have to vacuum at least twice a week and I have to say the suction on this vacuum is awesome there is no blown away hairs or spots missed. The tools gets my stairs better than anything i have ever used and the suction is powerful. The cord rewind really saves time and hassle with just a touch your foot on the cord button, no need to bend over! Bagless and washable filter are super convenient for maintaining and cleaning. I love the multi floor surface since I have half hardwood floor other half carpet. I also enjoy the scatter guard to prevent dirt from spreading on your hard wood floors. I attached a video where my kids had Ritz crackers all over are living room rug, this vacuum pick up the debris in ONE SWIPE. Only down fall is the vacuum is bulky and loud, so small kids will not be able to help you vacuum. Also wished it had lights for dark closet ect.. A few times i had issues with the power cord i would click the button and nothing would happen, i was afraid i applied to much pressure i would break it but eventually got it to work, wish it was a more smoother process. But overall the powerful suction and the ability to only need one device to clean both hardwood floors and carpet is completely worth it!Jlynne

The interchangeable batteries, the many attachments and the light weight of this vacuum is the only positives. This is my first cordless vacuum so I am not an expert but this is my observations after 1.5 months of using it. While I will say the hard floor power head works great for exactly that I must say the multi surface power head is terrible. After vacuuming a single 5’x7’ rug, the light goes red, the roller stops, and it needs to be cleaned. It’s not like we have a lot of hair in our house, just myself and my partner, as our dog does not shed at all. To clarify it comes with two full sized motor heads. One for hard floors (this one is great and hair doesn’t get caught in it at all) and one for carpet and hard floors (this multipurpose one gets a lot of hair caught in no time at all and will stop working until you take it apart and clean it) Canadian Tire does not offer returns on vacuums once you’ve tested them which I somewhat understand but it’s also a nuisance and it something that may hinder me from buying one from them in the future. If we hadn’t bought this vacuum on sale 50% off I would be quite upset. This vacuum feels very cheaply made. If you are looking for a cheap vacuum for hard floors then this one will do a decent job. We purchased the Shark corded stick model at Target a few years ago. At first it was great, and I recommend it for smaller houses or apartments since it's lightweight and small. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

I love the vacuum itself and how it works on my hardwood floors. However, since I received it the cord constantly comes out of where it is not supposed to. ( I have no idea what the parts called but there's a pic attached). I simply want an exchange for their partially defective item but customer service is the worst!. I'd have to pay another $190 plus shipping in order to get an exchange and wait for them to give me my money back. Who knows how Long that takes! Very frustrated! Broken after less than 60 days used 6 times maybe. Ran hot then stopped running. Damaged shelves came with it. 199$ each 3 items not one was worth 99$ and all…damaged broke and unreturnable and the finance charge and seems u never get a receipt with payments and seems u pay and it never goes down like a car payment. Terrible vacuum. I don’t have any kids or pets at home, so a vacuum should last me a long time. This is the THIRD Dirt Devil vacuum I’ve had in two years. The belt doesn’t stay on. If you lift it the wrong way, or accidentally bump it on the wall or stairs, it pops off. Sometimes 3 or 4 times in one session. AND… every single time you have to remove 6 screws to put it back on. This vacuum has made me so angry that I’ve made up new cuss words. There’s only so many, and the frustration this causes me requires many more! The opening where the dust canister meets the hose gets clogged (I don’t have pets) so just regular dust is too much for it! Then, it just stops sucking. Well, it definitely sucks, but not the junk on my carpet/hardwood floors. I will never buy another Dirt Devil vacuum again. They shouldn’t fall apart, or stop working properly so quickly. This should have lasted YEARS. It lasted months, and when you only need to vacuum only a couple times a week, and that’s too much to ask of it, it’s garbage. The effectiveness might depend on the length of your carpet, but mine is on the medium to short end and it still struggles to pick up anything wedged between the fibers. This vacuum is okay for the meantime since my other vacuum died. We’ll be moving soon so it will definitely get replaced. I’m a mom of 4 kids (not including a man child and two big dogs). The only time I can really clean is once all the kiddos are in bed. This vacuum is super loud. Luckily, my babies sleep with white noise so they can’t hear it but I’m sure everyone else can including the neighbors. It’s so loud that I thought something was wrong with it the first time I turned it on lol. On the second use, it already got clogged so I don’t have very many high hopes for this vacuum. On the bright side, the nozzle lifts out of the actual vacuum like my old Shark which I like. Unfortunately that is about the only thing I like on this vacuum. I've had this vacuum for 1 year now. The first few months I liked it, not loved it. The cord is way too short and I only have 2 rooms with carpet so it's annoying to keep plugging and replugging to vacuum a living room and hallway. The suction was about average in the beginning, then started to lessen in time not even picking up pieces of lint or crumbs. I basically use it now only for the vacuum lines on the carpet Today out of nowhere, while I was vacuuming my living room the motor died. I took everything apart and cleaned it and saw no obvious issues, replugged and tried to turn it on and it's still dead. I see reviews now how there is an internal kill switch if the motor overheats, which it was hot, however why would it over heat after only 1 minute of use? My room is small, I have no pets, there's nothing for it to overheat suctioning off the floor. So now I read the only way to reset the kill switch is to take it to a repair shop. Total waste of money, below average cleaning, and 1 year of use. Save your money and put it towards something nicer.Shelly

This vacuum was a wedding gift 6 years ago, so know that it's gone through some good use. I use it a couple times a week since I have three floors in my house, two kids, and a dog. I feel like when I use it, the bagless compartment fills up a lot, so it obviously has good suction, however, it smells terrible. I don't know if it's the dog hair or what, but we are constantly taking it apart to clean it all out and changing the filter, and we cannot figure out why it smells so terrible. The cord is super long and is retractable, but our broke so we just have to wrap it around the handle now. I think that might just be the luck of the draw because others I know with this vacuum haven't had that problem, and to me it's really not that big of a deal. It can get overheated easily, so make sure to clean it out after each use and make sure the tubing isn't clogged. If it overheats, it just shuts off until you clean it. I agree with whoever said that connection from the bagless container onto the vacuum has a poor seal on it. I find my legs covered in dust sometimes even though I've checked and rechecked the seal around it. Overall, for being a cheaper vacuum, it does the job, but I hope to upgrade someday!rbjorndal

Had been looking for a bagless upright for some time. Read many, many reviews over several months. The Hoover T-Series WindTunnel Rewind Bagless Upright Vacuum, UH70120 came out best every time. It has been rated number one by Consumer Reports for at least two years in a row. Though there are other vacuums in the Hoover bagless series they all had issues with various reviewers. Pros – The unit is light weight and easy to maneuver. The cord reel works beautifully. The brush actually cleans and the vacuum power is excellent. Cleaning the brush facilitated by the bottom plate being held in place by two catches that can be opened by hand. No tools. The brush itself comes out easily and may be replaced easily as well. The brush stops running when the vacuum is placed in the upright position. The filters are easy to remove and either clean or replace. Cons – The bagless bin is rather small and therefore must be emptied frequently. Emptying that bin can be problematic in that simply opening the bottom trapdoor does not allow all of the refuse to fall out as it accumulates between the wall of the bin and the interior mechanism that creates the wind tunnel effect. Rather than dig around with a stick to remove all that refuse it is easier to detach the bin from the wind tunnel mechanism by rotating it a few degrees and pulling it off. Not hard to do, but another step to empty the bin. It is often necessary to use a stiff brush to clean refuse from the wind tunnel mechanism once the bin is removed and then to knock the mechanism gently against some solid surface to cause accumulated dust to fall out. All of this is not very hard to do.Hwedhlor

purchased my new Shark Vacuum at Target on Black Friday, to replace my older Hoover Vacuum. I find that the vacuum was very easy to assemble within 10 minutes and was ready to go without having to worry about any of the bags. The Dual-Mode brush vacuum cleaned up a lot of Cat hair and dust my previous vacuum couldn't pick up. And emptying it out was a breeze. My one things about this vacuum is that it doesnt have a cord rewind, so I'm not amused with winding up my own cord. Its totally worth the buy.lewis.q

I really like my Bissell rug cleaner but this CleanView Pet Slim Corded Vacuum, not so much. Don't like the way it doesn't stand up on it's own. The button to release the dirt cup is in an awkward spot. Don't like the dust cup because if you handle it the wrong way, the dirt falls out of a hole (which is where the dirt enters in the first place). The "head" is floppy. It doesn't stay up (like a Shark) where you have to push down on it. There is really no place to grab and carry it comfortably, especially for a short person (which I am). I am on the lookout for a new stick vacuum. I should have sent this one back but it's too late now.Nancy

We have dogs and cats with bare floors so hair is a big issue in our home. I purchased this vac as a replacement for cordless vacs that I am constantly having to buy. They quickly lose their suction and battery power so this time i went with a corded vac. I own a kirby, I love it for my deep down cleaning but is so cumbersome for my daily (yes daily) vac of my home. The cord is long enough that i only need to use 2 outlets to vac 4 bdrms 2 baths kitchen and 2 living areas. Plenty long enough! Love the cord length! Suction is great. The edge pulls debri (I mean dirt, dust and lottsa hair) from the edges of my baseboards and from under furniture edges. This vac has 2 settings 1-suction only, 2-suction with brush roll. I first assumed being that I have bare floors, that i can vac w/ just the suction. However when it was powered on I had lifted the vac head then switched to brush roll while it was in mid air, POOF, all sorts of hair went flying everywhere. Apparently static caused hair to stick to the "undercarriage" of the vac head. I now vac my bare floors w/ brush roll going. The vac head sits quite close to the floor so when I vac my exterior door mats and rugs some get sucked/sealed to vac head making it difficult to vac. Perhaps maybe wheel adjustment to keep this from happening. I now just broom those that i cant vac. Pitty. The tube does not extend or get shorter. Its kind of a hassle when im trying to vac in tighter spaces. Another thing that I love about this vac is the it lays completely flat completely parallel to the floor w/o the vac head lifting up like most vacs do. So the reach under furniture like beds, desks and tables goes as far as up to the dirt canister. Another issue, when i must remove the vac head to use tube only, the hook to where the cord gets wrapped around gets in the way of me wanting to reach tight places. Why cant cords get wrapped at the top portion of vac not all the way down its shaft. Canister is larger, big plus!sylvia

We ordered this particular model on Amazon via The Bissell Store (still as of 2022) after seeing the owner's commitment to helping local animal shelters. Only after contacting customer service did we find out this is actually a discontinued model with many problems.
The roller bar itself started burning after 11 uses or 3 months so we returned it to Bissell. The replacement lasted only a month before it too started to smoke & leave marks on the roller bar.
We only use this on our hardwood floors, and three large wool area rugs yet this is the worst vacuum we've ever owned.
Now returning for a second time. We have been told, that "the latest" version or Model 28311 does not have the same problems.
This has been such a disappointment, especially when you're purchasing via the Bissell store directly and there is no mention that you are purchasing an older, discontinued model.

For a long time I was considering returning this vacuum. The only reason I haven't is because it works well enough and I don't have the time to go vacuum hunting. It's an okay vacuum but it is literally just okay. The suction is good but after a little while the vacuum becomes hard to push. It does pick up a lot of dirt, dust and hair though. The hose suction is terrible and practically nonexistent. I used the hose to vacuum up a spider which, with my old vacuum, would have killed it. But this vacuum didn't kill it and it somehow escaped (I got it the next day with a shoe but really, it's that easy for them to escape??). Also the attachments will not stay on the vacuum AT ALL so I have to keep them in a bag. The cord is long, but too long. Even if you leave it wound, it often falls off the hooks while vacuuming and gets in the way.JustAGirlFromSomeplace

This vacuum was purchased by my household less about 10 months ago and it's already broken. I have used it almost daily, so it's gotten a lot of use. Worked great at first, but had to replace belts at least once a month because they kept breaking. I was using the vacuum at the correct setting for carpet height, however it kept switching to bare floor mode by itself. I wasn't sure how that was happening. Also, the top part of the handle cracked in half, which I believe is due to design flaw. When you are pushing the vacuum, this seemed to be the point that would bear the most weight and it's the thinnest part of the handle. It's good if you are in need of a vacuum on a budget, but don't expect it to last long.kristywink

Seriously, this thing is epic. Still mostly plastic on the exteripr, but, unlike cheaper vacuums, this has a but of quality and detail to it. The quality of plastics is higher, the quality of molds and designing are better too. This thing is no louder than any other vacuum I have ever owned, with the brush ruler off. But, turn that on (it can be disengaged on the fly with a foot pedal fit quick switching between carpet and hardwood floors – nice), and it is rather loud. You definitely know those brushes are spinning. I am fine with that, but some may be snowflakes about noise (or have sleeping babies – I understand not wanting THIS vacuum if you have a baby and relish a little nap time). If you aren't whisper-thirsty… THIS Vacuum will suck the ghosts out of a haunted carpet. I literally only have two rooms with carpet and a hallway, yet this sucker nearly filled its canister on the FIRST use! Seriously, I pulled up enough dirt, dust, sand dander, and dog fur that I ended up with about two pounds of filth to dump once I was done (and I only vacuumed the master bedroom and hall!!!). If you can get this vacuum for……. under $150, grab it! Easy to assemble, easy to use, very sturdy, very VERY well made for the price I bought mine at, and DOES A DAMN GOOD JOB. Usually, we have several options out there in the market to choose from but none of them truly offers what I exactly need. besides to aforementioned specs, self-emptying is becoming a demand. Personally, I would prefer to buy vacuums with such a feature only because of time constraints that lead me to invest in robot vacuums even though they are not as powerful as the regular human-operated ones. I believe and after my experience with this LG CordZero, I found that this LG provides me with a lot of conveniences; it is an all-in-one vacuuming solution, lightweight, and truly cordless since the tower serves as a storage, charger, and self-emptying whenever the vacuum is docked. it has powerful suction and looks modern and stylish. The LG tower has two doors that serve as storage areas to store different attachments in each door compartment. In addition, The tower top is accessible it has a lid that can open up, and inside that small compartment, there is a charging station as well as a storage area for the second battery located underneath the top lid of the tower. This means there is always a spare charged battery that is always ready to use if needed. This top lid is a touch display where all touch control buttons are located such as auto mode, battery life, and dust emptying. Auto mode activates the self-emptying every time the vacuum sits back on the tower. By turning off the auto mode, self-emptying can be activated manually. The middle area when both doors are open is the house of the dust bag. I like the vacuum telescopic wand, it is adjustable and sturdy and easy to use and maneuver to reach low and high places but it does not have headlights which is a drawback to me. The power mop feature is my other drawback, according to the manual it is not allowed to use any cleaning solution except water also the pads can be hand-washed only. It is still a nice touch to have for quick mopping but it is that efficient. The bin kompressor is a smart feature that doubles the storage of the tank which is a nice perk and I like it. It has a sliding handle that pushes and compacts debris to have more room for a longer vacuuming run. But what stands out about this stick vacuum is the self-emptying feature, it is convenient and provides a month of peace of mind and hassle-free bin emptying as well as the spare charged battery, and of course, the tower design in which all the attachments are stored, organized, and accessible. This is more of a vacuum station than just a regular old vacuum. It's a bit pricey but it's still a great vacuum for your home. This is your typical stick vac with a auto-emptying hub. It's quite nice in that you can empty the vacuum manually however, the base station had a feature where you can auto-empty it whenever you dock the vacuum. The base station itself looks good and looks refined. It's not just some gaudy tower that you shove in a corner and have it looking like an eye sore. With the different color options, you could color coordinate it with your decor if you wanted to so that it's stands out less. the footprint of the base station is pretty small so you can store it anywhere really without it getting in the way. Included with the vacuum are your usual attachments like a crevice tool as well as a floor scrubber which is nice. It doesn't vacuum up the liquid so it's really just a scrubber. There is a separate head attachment for the scrubber as well as some extra velcro pads to use on the scrubbing head. The attachments store inside the base station except the scrubbing head which attaches to the side. This also comes with an extra bag and filter for the vacuum. Another nice feature is the extra battery. You store/charge the battery in the top of the unit so if you need to vacuum the whole place, you won't have to worry about running out of power midway through. This works ok for cleaning out your automobile too since it's portable however it's a tab bulky to get into some corners. Last feature is the compressor. With practically all these bagless vacuums, the center filter eventually gets clogged with debris so you need to disassemble the unit and clean that out properly to ensure proper suction. There is a lever on the bin that moves up and down on the compressor which allows you to scrape off a good chunk of debris on the interior filter without needing to disassemble it which I found to be quite beneficial. You'll still need to disassemble the unit for proper maintenance however, with this cleaner, you can do it far less. Only real knock to the is the price tag. It is expensive for a vacuum and you could easily find a stick vac or even a larger corded vacuum for much cheaper. That said, this is more of a lifestyle item where you can have a great functioning vacuum and have it look good in your home.LouRevue

I have recently gotten the LG Electronics CordZero Vaccuum and love so many things about this handy device! The vacuum came with so many assorted attachments including one for pet hair and a mopping attachment. It also came with an extra battery which I love! The run time on one battery is a little over an hour if I keep it in auto mode and don't switch to Turbo. I love having that extra battery on hand and charged up the Tower when I need it. One unique feature about the CordZero is that it's handy base recharges it, stores the extra parts, battery and attachments as well as has an Auto Empty feature for cleaning out the debris from the vacuum dust bin! I love that is takes one more clean up step out of my normal routine! The tower is makes keeping all of the extra things that can be used with the vacuum so nice and tidy and in one spot for easy access. The vacuum is lightweight and the main attachment is easy to get around and under furniture. I like that the main attachment head is a bit smaller than some of the others I've seen as it can really get into tight spaces and under chairs. I love that when I turn it on, I don't have to keep holding down on a button to keep the suction going as I've had to do on vacuums I've had in the past. It does seamlessly from my hardwood to my tile to my carpet rugs and has a great Turbo mode that can be turned on for those places I worry have extra hard to reach dirt. The CordZero even has ap app that you can connect to that will show you run times. extra info on the troubleshooting and battery life. I think one of the super exciting things about the CordZero is that it has a mop attachment. Although this feature didn't live up to my expectations, I'll thrilled of the idea of a vacuum/mop combo! The mop attachment has a place to put in water and it has little round pads that velcro on to the vacuum and spin around once you start it up. You can control the amount of water that comes out (it has a low to high setting) but the problem I had was that I didn't think it really "mopped" my floor. There was moisture but it can't be used with soap or cleaner of any kind and I just don't feel like my floor are properly "mopped " with just a slight layer of water. I used the microfiber mop heads for about 15 minutes on my tile while I was trying out the mopping feature and once done, the mop heads were already frazzled and looked to be coming undone. I love the IDEA of the mop combo, but in my ideal world, it would have been able to be used with a cleaner to really get it good and clean and I would have more function in the amount of water that comes out ( I couldn't tell much difference in the low or high adjustments on the mop attachment). Also, the suction is turned off when you use the mop attachment and I would love to see a function added to be able to use the mop with water and cleaner and then have it sucked back up or go back over the water with a drying function. Again, I love the idea, but feel like the mop attachment could have some improvement to make it a 5 star product. I do like that the mop attachment has a little blue light that shines to help show you where the water is on the floor. Overall, I am thrilled with the uniqueness and creativity that this LG CordZero Vacuum brings to my home. The tower with it's multitude of functions is a real game changer in my book!hjh2c

Just bought this because it is on sale. It is for my bissell replacement because the mid catcher on my bissell was lost. Overall this vacuum do what it does. However, I am not going to keep it because of reasons too important to ignore. This is a heavy unit. A lot more heavier than my old upright. Wife had difficulty lugging it up the stairs. It is complex to clean. If you just follow the instructions you are only cleaning some part of it, mainly the heavier dirt and hair, by releasing the bottom. Everything inside that canister, that red cone, that cylinder with the holes, everything that is part of the vacuum in there gather dirt. It has to be taken apart with a screwdriver to clean. The filter looks very nice but it will be a consumable part, will clog up in time and will need a new one, looks expensive to purchase and with vacuums, they go out of style and become obsolete. Might have a problem finding a new one in a couple years. The rewind cord is very weak. Had to step on the button and feed the cord in for it to retract. This is when it's new, I have no faith with it as it ages. It's a gimmicky feature. Nothing wrong with wrapping up a cord when done vacuuming. With this feature there is no hook to wrap the cord with when the rewind feature stops working.Old Dad

I was so excited to review this vacuum cleaner. Assemble was easy only required a Philips screw driver to attach the handle. I have 2 dogs and 1 cats vacuum is hands down the best vacuum I have owned for getting stubborn pet hair. I have a Lab Retriever dog that sheds hair a lot and have to vacuum at least twice a week and I have to say the suction on this vacuum is awesome there is no blown away hairs or spots missed. The tools gets my stairs better than anything i have ever used and the suction is powerful. The cord rewind really saves time and hassle with just a touch your foot on the cord button, no need to bend over! Bagless and washable filter are super convenient for maintaining and cleaning. I love the multi floor surface since I have half hardwood floor other half carpet. I also enjoy the scatter guard to prevent dirt from spreading on your hard wood floors. I attached a video where my kids had Ritz crackers all over are living room rug, this vacuum pick up the debris in ONE SWIPE. Only down fall is the vacuum is bulky and loud, so small kids will not be able to help you vacuum. Also wished it had lights for dark closet ect.. A few times i had issues with the power cord i would click the button and nothing would happen, i was afraid i applied to much pressure i would break it but eventually got it to work, wish it was a more smoother process. But overall the powerful suction and the ability to only need one device to clean both hardwood floors and carpet is completely worth it!Jlynne

The interchangeable batteries, the many attachments and the light weight of this vacuum is the only positives. This is my first cordless vacuum so I am not an expert but this is my observations after 1.5 months of using it. While I will say the hard floor power head works great for exactly that I must say the multi surface power head is terrible. After vacuuming a single 5’x7’ rug, the light goes red, the roller stops, and it needs to be cleaned. It’s not like we have a lot of hair in our house, just myself and my partner, as our dog does not shed at all. To clarify it comes with two full sized motor heads. One for hard floors (this one is great and hair doesn’t get caught in it at all) and one for carpet and hard floors (this multipurpose one gets a lot of hair caught in no time at all and will stop working until you take it apart and clean it) Canadian Tire does not offer returns on vacuums once you’ve tested them which I somewhat understand but it’s also a nuisance and it something that may hinder me from buying one from them in the future. If we hadn’t bought this vacuum on sale 50% off I would be quite upset. This vacuum feels very cheaply made. If you are looking for a cheap vacuum for hard floors then this one will do a decent job. But as for carpet this one isn’t the one.Heather

I have back issues and cannot lift anything of any kind of weight so I bought this vacuum to keep on my first floor so I don’t have to lug my other vacuum (a Kenmore Progressive) up and down the stairs. I have hardwood looking laminate floors throughout and a very low pile rug in my husband’s office. I also have a couple of area rugs in my TV room. I didn’t need anything super heavy duty and I’ve always preferred canister type vacuums over uprights. I also didn’t want to spend a ton of money, but I wanted something of decent quality. I had seen another Kenmore model while shopping with a friend at BJs a while back; it was about $50 more and a Series 600, I think. I don’t have a BJs membership and I didn’t want to bother my friend so I started searching online and found this particular vacuum. I read the reviews and most were pretty good so I decided to give it a try. The biggest complaints that I read were that people prefer having the on/off switch on the handle rather than the canister itself and a number of people complained that the hardwood floor attachment is on the small side. One other complaint was that there is no place to store the attachments…the hardwood floor attachment fits into a spot on the topside of the canister, but there’s no place for the other 3-in-one piece. None of this bothers me at all. Having the on/off switch on the canister just takes a little getting used to. My other vacuum I had downstairs, which was a GE had the same setup. The smaller hardwood floor attachment is actually kind of nice; it fits more easily in between things without having to move furniture. As far as the other attachments, I just store them on the shelf in the closet where I keep the vacuum. It has great suction power and it’s very easy to switch from the hardwood attachment to the beater head when doing carpeting. I had my husband bring it upstairs where I have 3 bedrooms with wall-to-wall carpeting so I could try it out on higher pile carpeting…itworked great. My kitchen, living room and 4th bedroom are hardwood and it picked up everything. If you don’t have a lot of carpet, I would highly recommend this vacuum. For $199 it’s definitely worth it. It worked well on my carpeting, but given that it’s a lower series model I don’t know how well it would hold up to weekly vacuuming on a high pile carpet. This vacuum is exactly what I was looking for and I’m very happy with my purchase. My only complaint is the color…it’s very purple!CindyM

I am really impressed with how the vacuum head worked on the hard floor. We have dark hardwood floors throughout our home and 5 furry pets that drop hair at record rates! It is very easy to see if a vacuum cleaner is doing it's job well. We are very impressed with how well this vacuum picks up dust and hair. I have to tell you my favorite feature on this vacuum cleaner is the foot operated release for the vacuum head. This vacuum design is very well thought out. I like that I can just step on it and release the head so I can vacuum a smaller area or vacuum something that doesn't require the head. Because the power to the head is a direct plug through the tube you don't have to reach down and unplug the power to the head by hand. You can release it with your foot, vacuum the area and then plug it back in without missing a beat. It is really convenient and intuitive on how a person actually vacuums. Another thing I like is the canister doesn't turn over when you pull it with the hose. I have had multiple canister vacuum cleaners over the years and my number one aggravation with them is they roll over if you pull them from an angle or the side. This vacuum doesn't do that! It just turns easily and follows you. I love that! Finally, I like that there is a slot to slide the hose/tube/head into when you store the vacuum cleaner. Traditionally canister vacuum cleaners are kind of a pain to put away and store. The Kenmore canister bagged vacuum 200 series is a very nice addition to clean your home. Assembly is very easy, and can be put together in 5 minutes or less. The vacuum includes a floor brush that can be stored on the canister of the vacuum and a 3 in 1 combination tool to clean nooks and furniture. I love that the vacuum comes with an easy adjustable switch to slide on the handle from floors to carpet. The handle extends so that tall people will not have to hunch over cleaning their floors. The power cord is retractable by pressing a cord rewind button. There is a suction control dial as well that allows you to change vacuum cleaner suction for varied fabrics and carpets. The vacuum also has the possibility of conserving storage space if desired. If you store the canister upright you can slide the lower wand into a U shaped storage hook. It does work great. The power cord is very long so you don't have to change multiple outlets to vacuum your home. The quick release button to transition from each attachment requires little effort. I also enjoy that it includes a HEPA media filter which captures 99.97% of particles down to.3 microns. As we have a beloved pet dog, pet hair can be an issue but with this amazing vacuum, I have no issues of pet hair left behind in the carpet or on the furniture. I have always wanted to own a cordless vacuum and now this Black and Decker Power Series Extreme cordless stick vacuum is making my life so easy. I like the fact that it’s lightweight and easy to handle. I can easily carry it around my house with least effort. Being cordless I no more have to struggle with wires. The dustbin is removable and can easily be emptied. The handle can be detached from the brush of you just need to use the stick to clean the corners or crevices. The anti tangle brush bar is something I am happy about. The vacuum is powerful and sucks dust and dirt very well. Great for both hardwood floors and also carpet. The LED light is the best feature especially when the places are poorly lit the LED light helps in cleaning up the spots and makes my house more clean. The battery holds good for about one hour. And I own several black and decker lawn tools so I mix and match my batteries and that’s really a plus point. Definitely is much less noisy compared to other vacuums. The accessories given with this vacuum are very good and love the fact that I can hang it in my tools closet after using it. This cordless stick vacuum is great for cleaning stairs. It’s easy to twist and turn the agitator to empty the dust and dirt. I can easily charge the batteries too. All the functions are exceptional and I am so impressed with this!Kiomina

I've had a lot of bad luck with cordless vacuums in my life. They generally lack enough power to accomplish anything you'd want them to. The POWERSERIES Extreme Cordless Stick Vacuum, however, has not left me feeling disappointed! I have a mixture of hard floor, low pile carpet, and medium pile carpet throughout my house. The high pile carpet does not benefit much from this cordless vacuum, but for spot cleaning the short pile carpet, this thing can do the trick if I put it on "MAX" speed (although it's a bit loud at that level). But where this thing really shines for me is on hard floor. Even on the lowest speed, it hasn't had any problems picking debris up off my hard flooring. The biggest highlight was when I discovered that it fits beneath my couch!! The couch only has a 3-inch clearance, so it becomes a black hole that gathers all kinds of junk: leaves, dust, dog hair, dropped food, etc… To clean under there, I've always had to lift up the couch and move it out of the way. But this cordless vacuum allows me to clean underneath it completely, without moving the couch at all!! Talk about a win! It also has some handy features, which I'll list off below.
