Best Vacuums For Bare Floors (2023 Update)

I’ve never in my life owned a Dyson but I finally decided to splurge and I’m glad I did! Here are my first impressions after getting up at the crack of dawn excited to test it out haha! It’s much quieter than I thought which is appreciated for those early morning cleanups after my toddler makes a mess but my older daughter is still sleeping. That laser is amazing but terrible at the same time…holy lord the stuff it was bringing to my attention was wild. I love the attachments and the one that lets you make it a 90 angle to go right under couches and furniture…chefs kiss. The floor dok is also a really nice feature as I don’t really have somewhere to mount it to the wall. It’s definitely heavier than I anticipated it to be. I do find I’m switching arms a lot so for someone who may be older or limited mobility it may be a bit cumbersome. I don’t hate that you have to press the button constantly to keep it on as it’s easier when you need to stop and go, but I do find it a bit awkward and my hand is a touch sore. I had it fully charged and used it for just over an hour and it’s now dead; I accomplished two floors, two sets of stairs and a couch set in that time. I only have hard floors besides two area rugs which are ruggables, and with the laser brush it has to be on eco otherwise it pulls them up. The other head it comes with does not work at all over ruggables. I don’t have any other ‘carpet’ so I cannot speak to its abilities with that. There are so many attachments this model comes with but there’s no where to store them – I would like to see some extra attachments for the floor dok to store them all. All in all though, highly satisfied with my purchase. I feel as though this is a prime example of “pay for what you get”. It’s a hefty price tag but I suspect this will last me years!Lindz02

This vacuum has the best suction and with 2 golden retrievers I need it but here are the cons It’s heavy and you have to hold in the switch to keep it running guessing this is to preserve the battery. All of the weight of the vacuum as at your wrist and hand and while 4.5 lbs doesn’t seem like much as you are holding it and the on button it is very stressful to your arm wrist and hand. When moving from hardwood to shag (I have all hardwood and two 8×10 shag type area rugs) the beater bar stops and the machine quits working even when you stop and move it to the highest setting so it won’t vacuum my area rugsI can’t even hardly push it through the carpet. I can let it and set it down and pull it. . It will do low pile rugs. Then it won’t stand up on its own you have to lean it on something or never stop vacuuming. I can get through most of my house 1400 square foot with the light before it dies or moves to eco. The head does not easily release to use just the end to get into tight spaces or replace with another attachment. The cord for the battery is actually quite short if you’re hoping to plug it in a closet or hide away place. Sleek as it may seem I don’t want a vacuum hanging up as decor so I’m going to have to add a plug somewhere out of sight. The pros are the light and suction provided you can really get every hair and see all dust if your room is not to bright the light really shows everything I turn down the lights to vacuum crazy I will definitely not buy another and totally regret this purchase for the price it really should come with two batteries and be able to vacuum carpet. I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin

After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

Out of the box, the vacuum was great. Sucked up everything. Within a month, it was basically a glorified hand vacuum. The only way I can get it to do anything is to use remove the hose and the attachments. The actual suction when using it upright is terrible. It vibrates like a dolphining F1 race car, makes a hideous popping and hissing sound from the side, and worst of all, leaves fuzz, dirt , and giant hard balls of lint all over my floors rather than actually cleaning them. Using this vacuum is more work than simply using a broom and a hand held dirt Devil. Customer service was helpful in trying to fix the issues but the suggested solve didn't work. The vacuum is a lemon…complete waste of the time and money spent.Card Lady

It does quality performing for pet hair to include the turbo extension tool for upholstery. DO READ ALL the instructions so you know how to properly use it. Don't assume! The tools are ill placed with the placement and storage of the electrical cord (always falling off). The telescope for the hose to attachments doesn't lock properly and always ALWAYS pushing back in. I don't have an issue with pet hair on the roller getting stuck, but I do with human hair and any amount of length to trash. The spot where the hose connects to the canister is constantly getting clogged because it is small and narrow, needs to be wider. Pay CLOSE attention when taking the filter out of the canister and putting it back; there is a reason it is meticulously marked. The alignment must be perfect or it won't go back together properly; this is the same for everything on the vacuum. Hard to push when vacuuming (hence one of the reasons I said to read instructions carefully)? You have to provide some air to release the amount of suction, so it moves easier with the little knob on the left; by the way, it moves also on its own.feltermail

Within 1 minute of its' first use this model #2475 Pet Hair Eraser Turbo had its' brush roll stop spinning before a small 10×10 foot area was complete. The belt assembly is centre mounted so debris from both sides of the brush roll collects towards its' centralized belt motor which sits open with nothing to protect it from debris. This results in it being the furthest thing from the "tangle free" unit it is advertised as. Removal of the head screws holding the bottom cover in place is quite easy so I was able to see what was causing the jam (see picture attached). The manufacturer claims the unit can accept hair length of 4-8 inches. The longest of the hairs in this pictures is 3 inches, so the job in question should have been well within the manufacturer's guidelines. Upon reassembling the base the unit promptly got jammed a second time. After once again removing the clog I decided to give it a different task, cleaning hardwood. This unit has a key feature for those with hardwood floors, its' brush can turn on/off, saving your hardwood from being scratched by the roller. Sadly there is very little suction (see video attached). I found without the brush roll spinning the machine picks up essentially nothing. The last major feature this unit is its' heavily marked "pet hair eraser" attachments. The Pet Turbo Eraser" is nothing more than the same "turbo brush" or "handi-mate" that has been commonplace on vacuum's since the 1950's. The "two in one" pet brush is a traditional fabric brush as is the crevice tool. There is nothing fundamentally different with these attachments than what is industry standard from most vacuum suppliers. I've had Bissell units before, the last being the significantly cheaper "Clearview Alergen Lift-Off Pet Upright Vaccuum." It lasted 2 years before dying a few weeks after its warranty expired precipitating the purchase of this Turbo model. All in all a poor vacuum. Don't buy this.Jimmy

Pros: Nice and light and portable. Does not tip over like the standard Henry. Adequate on carpets with no pile using brush facility. Cons: Suction is appalling. No use if you have to Hoover a lot of animal hair, just blows hair about and redeposits it elsewhere. Battery life poor, one full battery is not sufficient for the downstairs of a small two up two down. Takes about 3 hours to charge, which is a long time considering the battery life. Metal tubing comes apart mid vacuum, which is annoying. Regret buying.Gilly

LOVE Henry/Harry!!! Friendly little chap with a FEROCIOUS appetite. He's the vacuum we should have purchased YEARS ago, instead of all those bagless, horrifyingly expensive uprights, promising to be all we needed to keep our home clean and quickly proving they just weren't up to the job. One of the most amazing points about Harry is that he doesn't blow "wet dog" odours back out as he vacuums. Now the carpets not only look spotless again but the rooms smell fresh thanks to his charcoal filter. The electric lead is really long and the dust bag is massive so, all in all, no need to keep stopping to find another socket to plug in to, rarely having to fit a new dust bag and no stopping to pull dog hair out of his special "fur" attachment, because he just keeps going.AMAZING!!!We've fallen in love with Harry. Pros: Tube too long for me as I am short, but you can remove one piece of the metal tube to reduce length. British made. Previously had two small cheap (<£70) hepa 'Hoover' cylinder vacuums which funnily enough failed two months after warranty each time! Wanted new hoover to last much longer to be kinder to landfill (eco reasons) and it seems robust enough to last longer than 2-3 years, time will tell.There must be a reason why cleaners and builders routinely choose this brand!Great suction including large bits of kiddie-crumbs. Very long lead mitigates extra weight on stairs and less time changing plug sockets. Cons: Heavier than last vacuum (it'd be hard not to be, to be fair, as last ones were light). A bit cumbersome on stairs but long lead helps with that.L

So i normally dont leave reviews like this but i am so sad and somewhat disgusted by my last two shark purchases. I will start off by saying when i first received my duoclean i was in love and recommended it to everyone.. no one was allowed to touch it but me. The light on the wand was my favorite. I couldnt say enough good things about it. After having it a little over a year it started losing connection on the wand. I would blow it out with an air compressor and it would usually help. I even upgraded to a zero-m base with a self cleaning brush roll which made this machine even more amazing. Pretty soon the connection problem became more consistent and aftet a little over 3 years the base part of the machine (which later i found out was the wand connection) stopped working completely.. i decided to get another vacuum and decided on the vertex. In less than a year i was having connection problems and the fins on my brushroll were pretty much gone. I was having to duct tape the wand to the base so it isnt loose. I called for help and tbey told me to replace the wand to fix the connection problem. When i asked about the base with all the fins gone on my brushroll he told me i would have to replace the entire base and couldnt just replace the brush. I remind you…i had had this vacuum less than a year. I may as well just buy a whole new vaccum! So i have opted for my duct tape method which has been inconvenient but works. I have now only had a year and half and may as well throw it in the garbage. And now have to spend money on yet another vacuum.. I am drawn to shark because i love that its lightweight and the lift away is awesome. But im not rich and cant afford to be buying a vaccum every year or 2. I wish shark would stand behind their products and cover major parts for at least a year or maybe find out why they are having connection issues. I am disgusted and embarrassed that i have recommended these products to so many people who have went out and bought them. I hope they dont have the same problems i have. I wrote this review in hopes that someone from shark would contact me and make things good. Only time will tell. But in the mean time i am in need of a working vacuum that is not a sharkJenny

Best vacuum ever. Dogs, dust, dirt, multi surfaces no problem! Living on a ranch there is dust, dirt, work boots and cow dogs. A mile down a dirt road, surrounded by orchards and cattle, there is a year round rotation of spraying, shaking trees, sweeping nuts, and cow work. I was using three different reputable vacuums to try to get my floors tolerable, including the shop vac I "borrowed" from the barn. I had given up on clean. I was actually starting to feel depressed, especially about the carpet, and thinking I was just going to have to replace it in three rooms. I hated to have people over for them to see it. One midnight infomercial and free shipping later and every person who has been over has commented on how clean the house is. The only change in routine is the Shark Vertex vacuum. One pass over the floor with the Shark Vertex and my hard wood floor felt clean, not just dog hair and dust up, but no grit and shiny with the microfiber. The carpet in the bedrooms has been transformed, I knew there was residual dust/dander left behind by the three vacuums I was using, but nothing prepared me for what the Vertex pulled out. All the hours and passes with multiple vacuums and the Vertex was like magic. Chinchilla tossing his bathing dust everywhere, the Vertex microfiber leaves the wood floor polished. The house feels cleaner, even the air seems like it has less residual dust. If you live on a ranch you know what I mean. Tools and attachments are all easy to use. Canister is easy to empty and put back on. I wasn't expecting it to drive itself, there is no effort to move it forward. My house will never be perfect, but I finally feel like my efforts to clean it work. I am no longer embarrassed to have my revolving ranch door open to everyone.Bonner

Purchased vacuum at the end of 2020. I have only owned this vacuum for a little over 2 years and will need to replace the floor unit a second time. This might be a yearly replacement. I have long hair and have two doodle dogs. So I vacuum probably 3 to 4 times a week. At first I really liked this vacuum. It cleaned hard floors and carpet well but around 8 months of use I started to smell a melting/burning plastic smell while using. Eventually the main roller stopped spinning. I wasn't sure why I would be having that issue since I cleaned the filters often (have extra so that I don't have to wait for filters to dry) and cleaned out both rollers after each use. Shark replaced that floor unit since it had been less than a year of owning it. After using the replacement floor unit for less than a year it is now having that melting/burning plastic smell. Not sure if there is a warranty on the replacement parts but I guess I will find out once this current floor unit stops spinning. Shark didn't ask for the old floor unit back so I decided to open it and see what the issue was. It turns out that hair was getting trapped around the bearing for the main roller. There is no way to clean this and is a poor design. The images attached show the main roller bearing gets hair trapped by it and will eventually melt the components around it until the roller doesn't spin. I wish I would of taken a picture before/after removing the bearing cover so that I could show that could show packed in that hair was.Alice90

I have an older, corded Dyson which is still a workhorse. But since it is quite heavy and I am older, I can no longer easily carry it up and down stairs. So this corded one now stays upstairs which is carpeted, and the V12 Detect Slim is perfect for downstairs which is all tile/hardwood. I have 2 very fluffy cats which shed a lot – constantly – and will sometimes scatter litter when covering their waste. I tried another stick vacuum which was great for about a year, but then started dropping the litter back down and out onto the floor again so this was frustrating and useless. Back to Dyson and so far so very good. The one small feature that helped me finally make the choice of the V12 Detect Slim is the "on/off" button over the trigger in the other models. I have a bit of arthritis in my hands and the trigger would probably not be comfortable for me. I also love the laser attachment to find all the litter scatter pieces that are not easily seen but certainly are felt by bare feet. I've only had this vacuum for a short while and have not tried all of the attachments yet but am hopeful that my furniture will be cleaner of cat hair just as my floors seem to be. Yes, the dust bin is small, but it's so easy to detach and empty I don't find that to be an issue for me. As long as the V12 Detect slim keeps holding the litter in this bin, I will keep singing its praises. I also bought the standing Dok and love this. Would just like a holder of some sort to attach to the stand for holding more of the attachments. So, considering how well my older, corded vacuum has performed and continues to perform, I'm hopeful for similar performance from the V12 Detect Slim.SueD12

I was very excited to get the Dyson V12 Detect Slim Cordless Vacuum Cleaner, especially since I have had such great experiences with other Dyson products. Packaging and assembly with a breeze pretty self explanatory. I was impressed from the start with how lite it was, which made is very convenient for the stairs in our house. It was easy enough for the kids to carry around and use too, which is always a plus! I found it fairly easy to use for over head tasks too. I liked that it only has a single button power control. The LCD screen is probably my favorite feature. It shows you what has been lifted on the different surfaces, it is clear and easy to understand. In fact at one point it wasn’t functioning properly and the LCD screen told me what the problem was right away and I was able to fix it right away. I love that I didn’t have to trouble shoot it and take the whole thing apart to figure out the problem. It came with some neat attachments, the fluffy yellow and purple roller that is perfect for our wooden and tile floors, it had no problem fitting under our dining table and coffee table, this saved me time from having to move the furniture around. It comes with a wall dock that provides a way to easily store all the components while charging it as well. It included a neat hair screw tool, the allows you to pick up pet hair making pet spaces easy and fast to keep clean. They have a new design on the motorbar which helps to detangle long hair, eliminating the need for me to take it apart to cut out tangled hair like I have had to with other vacuums. You can select from the three cleaning modes depending on what job you are tackling. The waste bin is super easy to empty, simply point it in the trash can and push the lever to release the dirt. It is quick and straight to the point and I didn’t have to tough anything so my hands never got dirty. I love that it gives you 60 minutes of charge unlike previous machines that gave my around 20 minutes, also I found that the battery did a great job of holding the charge even when it was not in use or plugged in. The only “con” I would say I found was that if you doing a bigger job like cleaning more that a few rooms at a time, you have to stop and empty out the bin more often perhaps because it is a smaller unit but if you don’t mind that it really isn’t an issue. I have 3 (now 4) Dyson vacuums, I have the Airwrap and it is so awesome I wanted to try their other products. I purchased my first used D6 from eBay, I wanted to try one to see if it worked as well as it was claimed. I liked it but wanted a newer so I gave that one to my son and saved up and went with the V10 model (which I still have and still love), I then purchased the canister (refurbished) for deep cleaning items like furniture because the V10 would only go about 30 minutes and that was frustrating to me. I wanted something with a swappable battery but did not want to spend another $600 so when the small one (Omni Glide) came out I got it from Best Buy and found some extra attachments on ebay for it (mini motorized tool) and that one was excellent for day to day and my car, the battery lasts forever and is swappable, but I never needed a second for that one. My daughter borrowed it (she cleans houses) and she loved it so I let her keep it and found this one, which is in the middle of the 2 I have. I think the laser might send my OCD into overdrive because it showed everything on the floor when it looks clean without it. It is crazy how much dust it shows. I am glad I can turn it off if I choose, but I have not done that. IMO this is the best of the 5 I have tried. The battery seems to last, but it is swappable so when they are available I will be buying an extra. But so far I am using eco mode mostly and the battery lasts longer than I expected. The suction even on eco is better than my D10, my D10 does not suck up the throw rugs, but this one does. I wish I could adjust the suction to lower for this reason but all around this is a great cordless. I like the power switch because it makes it easier when using some of the attachments, not having to hold the trigger, but I am torn as I also like the trigger switch and miss it a little.M00nbeam

I bought this Oreck XL Commercial floor sweeper as a brand-new backup unit for an existing Oreck Xl home vac that I bought back in the 1990's. The original one still works just fine and the only maintenance it has ever required, other than bag changes, was a single drive belt replacement. The Oreck XL is a workhorse floor/carpet sweeper! And, the best part is that I recently got this brand-new one for $200, which is less than half of the price I paid for my original Oreck XL, back in the 1990's. The Oreck XL Commercial vacuum is light in weight (8 pounds). The low profile makes it incredibly easy to slide underneath a bed (you can even store it under there, between uses). It has a very comfortable ergonomically-designed handle with readily accessible on/off control switch. Each vacuum bag is top-loading and holds an incredible amount of debris. The filter bag is easy to change, is reasonably priced, and prevents any sneeze-producing dust from ever escaping the vac during use.vintage-connections

5/15/19 I did a lot of research before I chose to get one of these. I found out that the motor is only a 4 amp motor and I wondered if that was going to be powerful enough to do a good job. (I knew the motor was very long lasting.). I figured that because the discharge bag downstream of the motor was so much larger then comprable vacuums, that there would not be much back pressure on the motor and so by design, you probably don't need such a powerful motor. I also figured, that if you design a vacuum cleaner right, why would you need a 10 11 12 amp motor? I like the fact that it had a good quality cord that you didn't have to bend over to wrap the cord up it had a big bag so you didn't have to constantly buy bags did it was durable, because it is what janitors use and hotels across the country. I also know that my carpet was not a shag carpet it was a lower carpet and it was a hardwood floor. So I figured I would buy it from Walmart and try it and if I don't like it I can get my money back. WOW!!! I am so impressed with this machine! It picks up like you would not believe everything and I love the fact that you don't need a motor that is so powerful it belongs on a saw to cut wood. I love not having all these gadget cheap accessories that falling off all the time. I love being able to get underneath stuff. I love the lightweight. I love the switch on the handle in case I suck up a sock or shoelace. so that I can shut the motor off before I burn up a belt. I love the fact there's a spare belt underneath. I love the heavy-duty cushioning around the motor housing. And I really like the way the brushes are set up the beater bars very well-designed very simple very rugged very durable. (I believe in keep it simple KISS.)! So what if it's a tad noisy. And the negative review the guy posted about not being able to get us handle tight……well…… Some people are just not the least bit mechanically inclined. I like it better than my Bissell, KenmoreJay

Our Princess vacuum just died. We have always had problems finding bags for it anyway… We received a used Oreck as a gift many years ago and it still runs and cleans super. We still wanted a second vacuum on the top level. Well, that was a no brainer. The Oreck is very lite and easy to maneuver. Best vacuum cleaning we have ever seen.Brian

After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

I have a medium/small house composed entirely of low pile carpet and hard tile. The biggest reason I went for this vacuum was the improved suction on hard surfaces, as I had a cheaper vacuum that would simply scatter dirt around. It definitely cleans both surfaces very thoroughly and makes cleaning the tile so much easier. I was also surprised at how quiet it is, not as loud as my old canister Bissel, even at maximum suction. One complaint I have is that the head can be difficult to push on carpet, I think it would be much easier with some wheels on the head.Max

All the good reviews are so TRUE. After many low quality vacs like the Dyson, etc, I finally got wise and bought a Miele. My first one I bought over 5 years ago and is still going strong like day 1. I bought a second one a few months ago (I'm a clean freak) and this one is equally fantastic. You just cannot beat Miele quality. I call her "Mia" because she's cute and follows you around like a little puppy. This baby could suck the grout out from between your tiles so you won't EVER worry about having enough suction. I had seen the good reviews about this vacuum and finally ordered it when we moved: our new house had a mix of thick carpet, linoleum, and wood floors and my old vacuum wasn't going to cut it.Best of all – it's really pretty quiet! It seriously feels like a toy since it's such a fun little hard worker. Yes, some things could be better. The cord wrap is a bit awkward. The hook that keeps the cord off the ground is too wide and the cord falls out. But those are minor pains compared to how awesome this vacuum is. One warning: the first time I tried to remove the canister to empty it I did manage to empty the canister all over the floor. Whoops! I have had this vacuum for 15 years, suction is great and never had to replace any filters. I just wash them out once every 2 -3 months, even wash out the canister, the only thing I have done to this vacuum is repeatedly cut hair off the rollers since everyone in my household has long hair except me. I finally am going to purchase new sponge and HEPA filters, the old filters are getting a little rough. This vacuum still works great and we still keep using. Totally worth the price. Plan on keeping this vacuum. I am getting ready to purchase the newer SharkNinja with Duo Cleaning to keep the hair from twisting around the brushes. love my Shark vacuumscsvette

I’ve used MANY vacuums in my life. I’ve used Eureka, Kirby, Bissell, Oreck, Hoover, and several others. This is by far the BEST vacuum. The attachments make sense and are very practical. The vacuum pulls lots of dirt out of the carpet that other vacuums cannot do. I vacuumed my carpet with a Bissell. Afterwards, I vacuumed again with my Shark, the Shark continued to pull lots of dust out of the carpet. I am amazed at the quality. Considering the quality, the price is good!kasi.s

I am a highly experienced electronic repair technician. I just rebuilt a Shark Rotator Professional lift-away vacuum. Of course users fail to replace or clean all three filters causing loss of suction. Cleaning these with warm water and dawn dish soap works best. The unit claims to have thermal monitoring protection on the brush roll base and its design is causing the complaints of failure to work on carpeting in consumer homes. There is no thermal sensor. It uses a D.C. motor to a circuit board where a series low ohm current drop resistor exists. When the motor is slowed , thwe motor draws more current which lowers the resistence in the moter resistor series circuit causing increased voltage drop on the resistor triggering the circuit and activating the motors disconnect relay turning off motor. Although it does much to protect the motor in case of armature freezing with current applied. It makes the consumer unhappy because they cant vacuum carpets as they expect to paying almost 400 dollars for this nice vacuum. The fast fix is simply taking a soldering iron and lifting on side of the feed back silicon diode and reassembling unit. Now you will find the brush roll attachment actually works and does an awesome cleaning job on any carpet. Be sure to use caution and not pick up things that will jam the brush roller and break the belt. If this happens please turn off vacuum unplug and remove obstruction from brush roller. Then plug back in and finish vacuuming. I hope this helps others, mine is now issue less and working awesome.MissTiffany2025

Okay, this vacuum cleaner is actually FUN to run! It’s lightweight and very flexible. The long wand makes getting corners, cracks and crevices a breeze. Only drawback is the base will tip over if you stretch the hose too far, so keep an eye on it as you use the wand. Cleaning stairs is easy with the “Lift Away” feature. The NV501 has strong suction and durability. Do your regular maintenance as other reviews have mentioned, and store it properly. It’s super easy to take apart when needed. I accidentally sucked up a microfiber cloth once, but was able to open the hose at the right spot and pull the cloth right out. We’ve had our NV501 for almost a decade and still no problems. Have purchased this particular model as gifts for friends and family. Highly recommended.DB

I’ve had this model for about 5 years and yes occasionally you’ll have to cut some hair off the powdered brush if you have long hair or girls around or just heavy traffic I guess but that takes literally 20 seconds. Grab a pair of scissors, cut the hair and pull it out. Any vacuum with a brush is going to eventually wrap up hair! The vacuum has one killer motor, it cleans like nothing I’ve ever seen. I’m continuously impressed by the vast amount of dander, dust, and allergens it grabs every single time! I love how the handle comes off to clean small areas such as my couch cushions, behind furniture, etc. (I have this model which cane with ALL the attachments so I may have paid a bit more but it was definitely worth it) the only other difference is the colors. Mine has dark blue where the red is shown. I absolutely love how I can detach the base when going up stairs as shown in the photo. I don’t use the tiny “car part cleaners” which also came with the bulk of attachments but I guess it’s there if I were to ever need it. My fav attachment is the smaller roller brush that literally eats every cat hair off my dining room chairs and wherever else I need it. Anyway I suppose I could go on but you get my drift. By the way of course after awhile the vacuum will accumulate dust around the base and hose (I’ve seen someone post photos here of their dirty vacuum lol) but it’s a vacuum! It’s going to get dirty! My last thought pertains to the newest model I believe, the NV1000 with the “self cleaning brush” or double brush very bulky looking one. Although I haven’t used it, I personally don’t think it is going to sell much in the end. I say that with regards to the current reviews and complaints along with the marketing aspect in mind. What I conclude is just logical: once again as long as there is a revolving brush or in this case 2 rolling brushes, in time there WILL BE a hair issue as long as there are women, girls, and pets around. I was a bit worried with so many negative reviews, but I love this vacuum. It is so light and easy to carry around. It picks up everything as long as you frequently empty the filter. I also take a can of compressed air to blow the filter clean from the inside out. It is well made, and all the parts fit well. I like the floor cleaner for picking up pet hair because it has no rollers where the hair gets tangled. The blue color is beautiful, and the unit leans against the wall without falling over. The cord could be a bit longer, but I have a lot of outlets, so no problem. I am very happy with the purchase. The price was very reasonable.Nancy

We purchased the Shark corded stick model at Target a few years ago. At first it was great, and I recommend it for smaller houses or apartments since it's lightweight and small. It's powerful for its size. But it's not super durable. From what I've read, Shark doesn't make many replacement parts and there aren't many opportunities to repair their products. After about 2 years, several important parts were broken, including the hinge holding the dust cup together. We've been using packing tape to hold together the dust cup, and we have to cut off the tape to empty it and then re-tape it shut every time. Also the main little interior hose at the bottom that connects the head to the stick cracked wide open. The brush gets wrapped with long hair easily. The suction is pretty bad now, probably because of all these issues. Overall pros: It's great on wood floors, good on rugs, and works well while it lasts. Lightweight and easy to maneuver and carry up stairs. I like the attachments and they're easy to use. Long cord. Bagless is more environmentally friendly, although it's best to empty it into a plastic bag anyways. It's a good deal when it's on sale for $100. Overall cons: Doesn't stand up on its own. Cheaply made. The dust bin is really small. It's a hassle to empty the dust bin because you have to unplug the whole vacuum and carry the entire cord out to the trash can with you to empty the cup. Also, bagless vacuums just seem dirtier to me since the dust and hair isn't actually contained. It's always gross emptying it and trying to avoid the cloud of crap flying up at you. It is amazing honestly. We vacuumed our carpets with our old Shark right before we went to Target to look for a new one. We came home and vacuumed again over all of it. The canister filled up TWICE. I was mortified lol. This vacuum has powerful suction and harder tips on the roller that RAKE the carpet and get the film of dog hair out of my thick plush carpeting. I’m not lying. If I was unimpressed, I would tell you so! You DO have to empty the canister more than you would any other vacuum because it is small. If you are continuously vacuuming every room in your house and not emptying, you are going to put extra stress on the motor. It IS a stick vacuum. If you need heavy duty, 5-6 rooms at a time vacuuming, this isn’t your vacuum. I had to empty after EACH room because my vacuum obviously wasn’t doing its job. But I expect next time I won’t (I hope) because I will be pulling out the vacuum daily and keeping the dirt to a minimal in general. I really wanted cordless but my man insisted he didn’t want to deal with battery issues. I’ve never had a cordless and I just wanted one so bad. Cords irritate me and get in my way lol. But this purchase was good. So far I am very satisfied. I will definitely come back and redo my review if I feel like my opinion has changed in a couple months. I’ve had this vacuum for 4 years. Here are my thoughts: PROS 1. Good suction, still finds dust and dirt and pet hair 2. Lightweight and really low profile so you can vacuum under things easily 3. Price is amazing for the quality 4. No bags and all the filters I can clean out on my own and reuse. Huge cost and environmental savings. 5. Easy and fast detach / attach for getting corners and using the tools that come with it. 6. Dust bin opens easily and smart so I can hold it over the trash and won’t get dust everywhere. Less messy to empty than others. CONS 1. Corded 2. Hose broke down in head where it bends and flexes as you vacuum, I noticed it at year 3.5, so I had to replace that segment of hose (had holes/cracks in it). I purchased a hose at Home Depot and found some instructions online. Overall it was moderately hard to replace. 3. Suction does not adjust when you vacuum over rugs like the expensive name brand competitor so I have to stand on one end to hold the rug down due to the suction wanting to pickup the rug. 4. Doesn’t sit upright, must lean against a wall when it’s not hanging on the wall given it is too heavy. If you pause during vacuuming to pick something up etc. the thing may fall down while leaning against the wall. Takes a bit of experience to get the perfect, no-fall lean figured out.jessica.b

So i normally dont leave reviews like this but i am so sad and somewhat disgusted by my last two shark purchases. I will start off by saying when i first received my duoclean i was in love and recommended it to everyone.. no one was allowed to touch it but me. The light on the wand was my favorite. I couldnt say enough good things about it. After having it a little over a year it started losing connection on the wand. I would blow it out with an air compressor and it would usually help. I even upgraded to a zero-m base with a self cleaning brush roll which made this machine even more amazing. Pretty soon the connection problem became more consistent and aftet a little over 3 years the base part of the machine (which later i found out was the wand connection) stopped working completely.. i decided to get another vacuum and decided on the vertex. In less than a year i was having connection problems and the fins on my brushroll were pretty much gone. I was having to duct tape the wand to the base so it isnt loose. I called for help and tbey told me to replace the wand to fix the connection problem. When i asked about the base with all the fins gone on my brushroll he told me i would have to replace the entire base and couldnt just replace the brush. I remind you…i had had this vacuum less than a year. I may as well just buy a whole new vaccum! So i have opted for my duct tape method which has been inconvenient but works. I have now only had a year and half and may as well throw it in the garbage. And now have to spend money on yet another vacuum.. I am drawn to shark because i love that its lightweight and the lift away is awesome. But im not rich and cant afford to be buying a vaccum every year or 2. I wish shark would stand behind their products and cover major parts for at least a year or maybe find out why they are having connection issues. I am disgusted and embarrassed that i have recommended these products to so many people who have went out and bought them. I hope they dont have the same problems i have. I wrote this review in hopes that someone from shark would contact me and make things good. Only time will tell. But in the mean time i am in need of a working vacuum that is not a sharkJenny

Best vacuum ever. Dogs, dust, dirt, multi surfaces no problem! Living on a ranch there is dust, dirt, work boots and cow dogs. A mile down a dirt road, surrounded by orchards and cattle, there is a year round rotation of spraying, shaking trees, sweeping nuts, and cow work. I was using three different reputable vacuums to try to get my floors tolerable, including the shop vac I "borrowed" from the barn. I had given up on clean. I was actually starting to feel depressed, especially about the carpet, and thinking I was just going to have to replace it in three rooms. I hated to have people over for them to see it. One midnight infomercial and free shipping later and every person who has been over has commented on how clean the house is. The only change in routine is the Shark Vertex vacuum. One pass over the floor with the Shark Vertex and my hard wood floor felt clean, not just dog hair and dust up, but no grit and shiny with the microfiber. The carpet in the bedrooms has been transformed, I knew there was residual dust/dander left behind by the three vacuums I was using, but nothing prepared me for what the Vertex pulled out. All the hours and passes with multiple vacuums and the Vertex was like magic. Chinchilla tossing his bathing dust everywhere, the Vertex microfiber leaves the wood floor polished. The house feels cleaner, even the air seems like it has less residual dust. If you live on a ranch you know what I mean. Tools and attachments are all easy to use. Canister is easy to empty and put back on. I wasn't expecting it to drive itself, there is no effort to move it forward. My house will never be perfect, but I finally feel like my efforts to clean it work. I am no longer embarrassed to have my revolving ranch door open to everyone.Bonner

Purchased vacuum at the end of 2020. I have only owned this vacuum for a little over 2 years and will need to replace the floor unit a second time. This might be a yearly replacement. I have long hair and have two doodle dogs. So I vacuum probably 3 to 4 times a week. At first I really liked this vacuum. It cleaned hard floors and carpet well but around 8 months of use I started to smell a melting/burning plastic smell while using. Eventually the main roller stopped spinning. I wasn't sure why I would be having that issue since I cleaned the filters often (have extra so that I don't have to wait for filters to dry) and cleaned out both rollers after each use. Shark replaced that floor unit since it had been less than a year of owning it. After using the replacement floor unit for less than a year it is now having that melting/burning plastic smell. Not sure if there is a warranty on the replacement parts but I guess I will find out once this current floor unit stops spinning. Shark didn't ask for the old floor unit back so I decided to open it and see what the issue was. It turns out that hair was getting trapped around the bearing for the main roller. There is no way to clean this and is a poor design. The images attached show the main roller bearing gets hair trapped by it and will eventually melt the components around it until the roller doesn't spin. I wish I would of taken a picture before/after removing the bearing cover so that I could show that could show packed in that hair was.Alice90

There are some issues with tht vacumm that I am not satified with. First it only comes with onlt a Pivoting Dusting Tool (Brush) , and crevice tool. The dusting tool is useless unless your going to vacuum fan blades or anything up high, this comes in two pieces, the brush clips to the frame of the part that you insert into the vacuum hose, this brush will come apart at times while using it. The cord is 40 feet long which is a nice feature, but it does not automatically rewind. It is a real chore to rewind the cord by hand. I think it would have been better to have a shorter cord, than no auto rewind. This was billed as the best bagless upright, but when you read the fine print, this statement only refers to carpet floors. My entire house has tile floors, I also have no pets. I based my purchase on the statement best bagless upright, and that it apparently has the best suction. I have used it a few times, and I am just not satified with the parts or design. It does have good suction. I cannot turn of the rotary brush when using the hose and atachments. I cannot actually dust pictures, baseboard, door frames, etc because of the useless dusting tool. It also makes a lot of noise. I was offered some dusting tools because of a complant I made to the sellers, but I have not received them yet, in fact, I just received notice that have just been shipped. I don't have pets so can't say if it is good to clean up after pets, it pains me to say, but I would not recommed it based on the features and lack of tools.Richard

I don't know. Gonna try calling customer service tomorrow. Was given this as a gift three weeks ago and the first time I used it the suction was so strong it tore threads from a throw rug that I was able to vacuum regularly with my older Hoover commercial vac. While I was trying to save the throw rug I ran over the electric cord and had to use electrician tape to patch it up. That's on me I guess but it was not an auspicious start. I've owned less than a month and have never been satisfied. The suction comes & goes both on the main vacuum and the hose. I end up trying to empty and clean it every use to bring the suction back. It still spits out dust. The duster attachment cancels the suction in the hose so I don't bother with it. I just use the hose directly. Tonight when trying to do a quick vacuum there was no suction it literally coughed up a dustball and loose dust. There was a clog in the hose I detached the hose and spent 30 minutes digging the clog out with gravity and chopsticks. Somehow found I'd vacuumed up a ball point pen that punctured the hose. Despite the puncture the suction came back for the hose but not the main vacuum which is blowing air out. I just finished dusting off the vacuum and sweeping the mess up and I gotta say I hate this thing I've only owned it three weeks it was a well intentioned gift but it's just not working. I want my old worn out commercial vacuum back with the disposable bags but I need a version with attachments.Jen

We have purchased this particular style and brand vacuum cleaner before and have been happy with it. We buy this cleaner mostly because it is good picking up dog hair, but It picks up dirt, dust and other things very well too. Our dogs shed a lot and we need a cleaner that can pick up all the hair well. All the dog hair is tough on vacuum cleaners and some other brands have not held up long, but this one does a good job and last longer than others we've bought. We like being able to remove the canister, which is easy to remove and empty, and prefer this over vacuums with bags. It works well on different type of floors and carpets too. Adjusting the height level is easy but wish the dial wasn't located on the bottom part of the vacuum cleaner. It would be nice if it was somewhere towards the top making it more convenient and easy to change. We will buy again and keep buying this vacuum cleaner because it works so well for our purposes.JANET

Love hate relationship with my vacuum. It’s very very verryyyy amazing at actually getting up all of the dirt, dust, food particles. It has great suction, and the attachments have nice features: a nice angled piece for corners and a great upholstery tool with the brushes on both sides that works FANTASTICALLY for pet hair!! The only thing I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND … Why is the containment chamber sooooo small!! like I can only clean the stairs and upstairs hall have to empty, do 2/3 medium sized bedrooms. full. Living room and dining room. Have to empty it again!! if it’s too full like you try to squeeze in the last bit of the 3rd room you have to empty from top and bottom of the chamber which literally makes such a mess (making more stuff I have to vacuum sad face) and on top of that as cool as the really long detachable from the body tube is , stuff gets stucckkkk like soo baddd!!! Omg it’s unbearable at times I have to use a really long wire coat hanger that I have It’s ridiculous lol so yeah love hate relationship it vacuums so well though that honestly I just deal with it especially bc this vacuum is super cheap it was $160 at Target and $175 on Amazon delivered with warranty included so worth it! And I even contacted them the first time I had the issue tube clogging issue and they replaced it but the same thing still happens I’m sure it’s just from being extended and then retracted the stuff just gets stuck and builds up. Again, I just deal with it because of how well it cleans literally like professionally clean. so, take this as you will !!elaina.a

I have owned a few different vacuum cleaners , made by different manufacturers over the last few years . And each one has lasted barely over a year. Now I'm not a person who vacuums multiple times in a week. Honestly , I may vacuum once every 2-3 weeks. So the old ones didn't crap the bed due to being over used. Before buying this fantastic vacuum , I did my due diligence and did a lot of research and read a ton of product reviews. By far I felt that this Shark vacuum was the best fit for me and I was right. Everything about this vacuum is smooth , easy to use & operate and definitely the best value for my wallet. I initially was hesitant about the price but I feel (and have heard from other Shark owners) that Shark vacuums last for 5 years and if that's the case , it's worth every single penny. This vacuum is okay. I broke my other Shark Navigator, the NV586 purple one, about a year ago and needed a quick replacement so I thought this one would be just as good. It was not. It was fine but really just not powerful enough to handle my 4 kiddos and two pets. So I went looking for an upgrade and I am coming back to write a review finally becuase I recently purchased the new Shark Vertex DuoClean (AZ2002) and OMG I never knew what I was literally missing. One single pass over an 8×10 rug and the DuoClean picked up more dirt and hair than any other vacuum I have ever owned. No exaggeration, I think I picked up years worth of nasty that I had no idea was still in there. As a bonus, it also glides over the hardwood floors picking up everything instead of scattering it like other vacuums and now I am also throwing away my brooms. After owning three Sharks and one Dyson, I would recommend the DuoClean forever. So the NV360 is fine for single folks with no pets or kids who also don't need to do hardwood floors, otherwise watch for a sale and snag the new DuoClean.Karilyn82

 I don’t need to move my mats off the floor in the kitchen or the bathroom, pick my shoes up off the floor if I don’t want to or that shirt sitting over in the corner, I don’t have to worry it’s going to get stuck under at the bed because it does a great job navigating whatever it is under the bed and not only does it do a great job it identifies by taking a picture of whatever item is under there, and with a percentage of certainty it can assess what that item is not always great by does a pretty darn good job. It is by far, as other reviewers have noted, leaps and bounds …. ARTEMIS SIZE… GALACTICLY SUPERIOR to ANY other vacuum. And then, to add an amazing mop that is utilized simultaneously with the vacuuming feature, and the ability to customize from a light mop job to a extra duty session— YESSSSS nailed it in execution, nailed it in design, and nailed it in understanding the deficiencies of the current technologies on the market, and then bring the technology market 🙂 Summarized, and in general, I have been pretty darn critical of most of them tech purchases in the past 10 years because of shifty retailers, manufactures, ad campaigns, all implying, amazing features and benefits that blend into a disappointment and waste. If not a complete failure. It’s usually what is implied by the manufacture, but not stated that leaves disappointment in execution. And then, of course, there are the glaring issues, confronting consumers in the marketplace by way of the retailers, not Best Buy that don’t care about the customer enough to mandate that pro product descriptions are actually in English enough to understand but to me that basically means that a manufacture doesn’t really care about the American consumer at all because if they did, they would find somebody who speaks English enough to write a manual for whatever product and to write print and advertise that product in a way that respects the customer and doesn’t make them have to read between the lines or reword, poor grammatical errors, because of a lack of regard that upsets me more than anything so I’m very glad to have retailers that are still around like Best Buy where I know specifications for a product are going to be the specs for the product. Anyway, the bottom line is, this is a win. I’m pleased, and I have not been pleased in the product and I can say this pretty certainly in a very, very long time, so great job, Robo rock. You know this industry segment is still very young when the best robot vacuum by far which is this S7 MaxV Ultra has quite a few areas to improve on but all in all. I LOVE IT! This is advanced AI coupled with top level engineering at its finest for robot vacuum cleaners. At this point, Roborock is Roborock's biggest competitor – however, there's def room for improvement. Below is everything the bot does really well that are selling points. For the "Needs to improve" I'll indicate whether these are software fixes or hardware changes which means you'd have to wait for the next version and hope the changes are built in as part of the bots physical hardware component. Best Features – Intuitive UI & navigation software packed with useful features (3D map, 2 way calling, etc) – Ability to auto fill bot with water, auto empty dustbin and wash mop – Great battery life (my experience) – On board video camera to see where bot is cleaning – Carpet detection feature with mop auto lift – AI obstacle recognition, avoidance & tagging – Room recognition with machine learning capabilities. – Various cleaning configuration settings Needs to improve – Show water levels in app (hardware fix) – Increased suction doesn't do much for carpets. Still misses threads and small particles from time to time. (hardware fix) – Ability to copy routines and schedules (software fix) – Ability to save zones just like we do with rooms (software fix) – Ability to rearrange routines order so they show up on the homescreen shortcut in the order we want (software fix) – Ability to delete rooms (software fix) – App update for things like: Create shortcut for schedules on home screen for quicker access (software fix), Ability to select custom shape for zone cleaning, currently square shape (software fix), etc. – Bigger tires to clear higher obstacle climbs. Absolutely love this vac! Not big and clunky like the other vac Ive used over the years. Its not meant for sucking up drywall and big stuff but at the end of the day clean up it is perfect. Plenty of suction battery life depends on the battery you use for me Im using Dewalts flexvolts and they power it plenty long for what I need. Dumping the debris is simple and what youd expect.. wearing the vac can be a little snug depending on what your wearing at the time Im 510 220 and it will fit me with a thick sweatshirt on. If I had any negatives it would be I wish they included a different attachment besides the ones they do. Id like to have a small upholstery attachment for car interior Other than that Im very pleased with the purchaseT.

I have been using this vacuum in the shop for a few months now, and overall I do love it, as I find it more practical than a normal rolling shop vac, no tripping over cords or pulling it around, and man is it quiet!! With a 12.0 battery it last long enough on high to clean the entire garage. The floor tool is awesome, and love that when its laid sideways it maintains contact/suction with the floor and thus allows you to get well under things like table or cars if you take a knee. overall I would buy it again BUT…. I really wish there were a few improvements, one that to me seem common sense. First is a BRUSH ATTACHMENT PLEASE! how that could be overlooked is beyond me, but it seems that nothing is made to attach to this style of hose, and of course the hose size is weird and nonexistent outside of this product. I found one close on Amazon and using a generic adapter that I had to modify a bit, I know have a brush that I can force onto the hose and it will stay on, for the most part… Next is I think the 9ft hose should be standard, the 6ft is just too short, and if you set the vac down and are using it you run out if length really quick, and even with the 12.0 battery weight it still tips over when you hit that limit. Seriously the BRUSH!! I would trade the crevice tool and the dust collector attachment for 1 brush! ok moving on, i don't particularly care for the power switch, the location is great for when you wear it, but quite lousy for any other means of operation, always struggling to find it without seeing it, and the 2 speed function is not preferable as I NEVER use the low speed, and its too easy to switch it from high to low when trying to switch it off. Have done it a few times while around loud equipment and since its so quiet I had no idea it was on until I went to use it next and found the battery dead! I think my last gripe would be the filter, as it comes with very little info on how to determine when it is time for a new one, and the few emails I have sent to Milwaukee about the filter and brush have went unanswered! I love the HEPA filtration as it keeps the dust down making clean up better. The issue I have is that it seems to not take much fine dust to plug it, at which point it seems that vacuum finds its way around the seals and back out, no longer providing HEPA filtration. I believe this is what is happening as after a dozen or two uses, I start to notice the air in the shop seems dusty while using it(and this is of course emptying the bin and knocking out the dust from the filter, after which I also clean the sealing surfaces of dust) and the vacuum canister will have a layer of dust statically clinging to the outside. I replaced the filter with a new one (kinda $$) and the issue went away,….for another few dozen cleanings, and then came back. I am now on my 3rd filter in roughly 3 months of owning/frequent use. I don't see why a pre-filter wasn't added(and i intend to try making my own) as the inside of the canister under the HEPA filter seems like an ideal location to have had a cylindrical pre-filter-which would save the HEPA some life as they are a bit pricey to replace monthly. I also may add a thin shim under the HEPA to try and make the sealing surface contact better so the dust can't find its way around, figure I shouldn't have to worry much about working the battery/motor too hard since the FUEL/Red Lithium combo is supposed to be able to detect those issues and cut power?! Anyway, I would still buy it again, the price was a bit to work past, but after getting it I couldn't go back to any other vacuum for general small debris/dust pickup. Just wish I had a BRUSH and a pre-filter, and the 9ft hose standard!(It definitely is better with the extra reach)AA88

I've had starts with r ends in i battery and several starts with an R ends with d corded shop vacs including there stainless steel top of the line one. My mom had the great white (no brand names allowed) stick battery. All of which have burned out motors or upon having them fixed under warranty absolutely sucked. This vacuum not only lasts with my 6.0 batteries but is amazing. The attachments are awesome and the performance along with the versatility is impeccable. I only wish there was more on board storage for accessories and that you could change battery/empty canister without having to unsteady the backpack no big deal. I've used it on my garage extremely uneven, pitted, and cracked concrete slab. It's picked up glass, screws, dust that I could never get put of the cracks without using an air compressor. I highly recommend this vacuum. I will have to see how the motor lasts. Get atleast 2 6. Ah high output batteries and a rapid charger. You can easily do a single bay garage or room with 1 and still have juice. I have the double rapid charger and several other batteries. Curious how the 8 ah and 12 ah perform. Also if you need to convince your wife, of the expense, just show her the extension wand and how the attachments pivot and she'll be sold. Also highly recommend the airtip attachments from milwaukee as they have a magnet that stops metal from being sucked up among several extremely useful attachments. After buying vacuum I went back and spent $150 just on airtips. Wished they sold kits that had more of a variety, instead of buying certain ones individually.Inkaddictest1994
