Best Value Indoor Cycling Bike (2024 Update)

I absolutely LOVE this bike and the community that rides it. I bought my bike (Costco 4S) in February 2021 and today, (11/15/2022) I completed my 1000th workout. I have over 800 rides and almost 200 Fitpass classes completed. The variety of classes makes it possible for me to ride either a live or on-demand ride every day, whether I feel like riding 75 minutes or want to take it easy with a 20 minute low impact ride. The instructors are exceptional. While I have never met any of them personally, they project warmth and compassion, and make me, the rider feel like I am important to them. The feeling I get from them is that this is more than just a job, it is really their passion and they care about us, their riders. The variety of Facebook groups specific to Echelon are numerous and there is something for everyone. When I had an issue with the attached tablet not allowing me to log in, I sent a Facebook message to Echelon and within 5 minutes I had a message back with instructions how to reset the tablet. Ok people this is not a shirt you can stuff back in the bag and return to QVC. The thing took my husband 2 hours to put together and it weighs a ton. So here are the details to assist. Full disclosure I'm a 5'4 fat lady (working on changing the fat part, hence the bike.) So I had been using the x-bike and wanted to level up for a sturdy bike that I could do standing cycle jogging out of the saddle. I'd been using the fancy bike app with my x-bike so and didn't want to spend the extra on a bike with the attached monitor. Like I need another screen in my house??? I like using the bike with my Ipad so I can take any class, you tube, peloton app or just netflix and spin so this seemed to be the ticket. Ok so here's the downfalls: 1- THE SEAT IS A TORTURE DEVICE- this was just not doable for me or my 14 year old son who validated my concern. So no problem, did some research and ordered a new bike seat on amazon, spent an hour or so learning how to change on youtube now comfy seat- check. 2- Configuration IS A SQUEEZE- ok so if you move the HANDLEBARS up they also move outwards from the body, assuming that all riders are super tall that want high handles, they say to raise them high if you are pregnant have back pain or are a beginner, so you better be tall too. Of course, you can move the seat forward to match but then wait my knees are in a funny position, and oh how do I get off this thing? The brake is right on my who-ha while I try to shimee out of this thing. So now I just find myself riding too far up and back to avoid knee pain or who-ha dismount, so feel like I'm bracing for dear life to get to those handle bars way forward. 3. The setting to move up the seat are not very clear and make it difficult to find the right spot again if someone else uses the bike. Wind-up! So with all this you wonder why I still have it. Well, it's a nice bike, I spent about $1000 bucks time and energy getting it set up, and I'm assuming that as I get thin these issues will subside. So my overall review is short fat ladies try before you buy, because no way in heck your getting this thing in a box again.MsMyka

I usually don't bother with reviews but wanted to do one here since there's so little info to be found on the C7 (loads on the C6 though!). I bought this bike to use as a peleton alternative with the peleton app. The bike is a great bike. I've ridden outdoor bikes a lot (road and mountain) but never really went to the indoor bikes until this. I have been pleasantly surprised. The seat is actually very comfortable, especially with bike shorts. If you're not used to sitting on a bike seat then of course it'll feel weird, but you let butt gets used to it. This thing is super quiet and easy to use, easy to adjust resistance, easy to connect Bluetooth. It's a little difficult at first rising with the peleton app because of trying to figure out resistance levels. Even the 'conversion charts' online don't feel like they're accurate. My only real complaints about it is the water bottle holder should be set further back to avoid hitting your knees on it (there's lots of complaints about this with the c6, which is basically the same bike without the console). The screen is quite small to use as your entertainment or spin class but it's perfect for using as manual mode for the metrics during a peleton class (which I watch on my tv).KC

Love the bike. Easy to put together, comfortable seat! Hate, absolutely hate the resistance pads! They do not wear evenly, make lots of noise and leaves marks all over the wheel. I have had to replace it each month! I wrote to Yosuda, who passed me off to another company that sent me another pad, but did not address any of the other issues I mentioned. If I wanted a bike with a monthly fee, I would have purchased one.KT

After I received my stationary bike, I’m very happy that I made the right decision on it. I work at a restaurant and get off really late, that’s why I don’t have that much time to go gym to work out. This bike it’s really convenient to move around with its wheels. The another good thing for it is that it doesn’t make noise when I use it. So I can do exercise whenever I like to. There is a spot I can hold my phone while exercising. The seat is adjustable and comfortable. I put it together by myself in about half hour. It was easy to assemble and I like everything about it. It feels very solid when riding it, by all four members of our family, weighing from 90 to 200 pounds. We feel that it’s a great value for the price.Katherine

It has been almost 5 months, 1.4 million meters/860 miles, over 50 hours of ride time and I couldn’t be happier with my BikeErg! I have been tweaking the fit and also made a couple of changes since my first review. The first is replacing the saddle with a Selle Italia Turbo saddle, which you can see in one of the attached pictures. While the padding on the original saddle is very comfy, I opted to go with a different one for two reasons. One, the original saddle felt a bit bouncy to me and two, I wanted a saddle with an upsweep on the tail, which the original one doesn’t have. While changing the saddle I also realized that I needed to make a correction to my original review. The black cap at the top of the seatpost where the saddle sits does allow you to adjust the tilt angle, which I didn’t think was possible before. Ridges inside that piece allow you to set the step angle for the front and rear of the cap independently to change the tilt of the saddle. There is actually a video on the Concept 2 YouTube channel titled Concept2 BikeErg Tips: Saddle Adjustment, which explains this. I have also been using ErgData for the last couple of months to immediately upload ride results. I had an old iPhone 6 sitting in a drawer, which is now dedicated full time for this purpose as you can see in one of the attached pictures. The other benefit of this, which I absolutely love, is that the Concept 2 data can be linked to the Garmin Connect app for my watch and as soon as that upload from ErgData is finished it shows up on the app with a really nice graphical analysis of your ride. Owned this for over a year. Beats the c___ out of every other stationary bike out there. Less than half the cost of a Peleton, better than a WattBike and just as useful with a couple of minor upgrades. My Div1, top 10 rowing program daughter convinced us to get this. I had rowed D1 at college when Concept 2 released the Model B rowing machine – the first real, ball busting, lung burning, muscle cramping off-season workout device. The rowing machines are built like a tank, you can see people today trying to sell Model B’s on Craigslist for more than they retailed for 30 years ago! Have owned a Model C rower for 15 years with millions of meters on it replacing only the read out device. Everything Concept 2 makes is completely over-engineered and designed to take Olympic-level stress for decades. Turns out the bike erg is no exception. It’s not the same as a spin bike, and certainly not an assault bike. Whatever they did with the belt mechanism for the flywheel it seems to put greater load on your thighs and just slow burns them throughout a workout turning them to jelly. My daughter has top of the line WattBikes at her boathouse, but the BikeErg is the go-to bike. Her coaches have seen more benefit using BikeErg sessions (intervals,sprints, long pieces etc) than other bikes. And they’ve compared a bunch. The BikeErg is a belt driven, flywheel bike. Resistance is varied by changing airflow into the flywheel manually. Same principle Concept 2 has used on the Rowing and Ski Erg machines since 1990. This creates a resistance pattern that works your legs throughout the down push when cycling. From the top to the bottom of the pedal turn. That’s what creates the unique burn. It’s as though you are constantly working up a very slight incline. The other unique part of any Concept 2 device is the Performance Monitor (PM5). It was the first accurate, reliable power meter commercially produced. Back in 1990 it was a quite revolution. It took the rowing community a decade to figure out how it could be used to enhance training. I’ve seen people complain the design looks outdated, why can’t it be a touch screen, it can’t show this or that etc. Bottom line is that it’s a way more open system than any other product out there. You can download a system update to set your workouts in calories, distance or time for all the CrossFitters. It syncs reliably to heart rate monitors (polar, whoop, Garmin etc), it can hook up to multiple different apps including ErgData from Concept 2 that can display and store a wide variety of power parameters. You can upload workouts to TrainingPeaks with ease if that’s your thing. To get the most out of it as a Peloton beater there are couple of easy upgrades you need – pedal clips $15. You can replace the pedals and seat if you want. I like to wear sneakers when I ride. – Idevice holder. Motivation helps with Zwift, a monthly Peloton subscription, or movies for long rides. We experimented with a bunch of options before combining a $15 SmallRig padded clamp with an easily adjustable rock-solid iPad holder $20 – Water bottle holder Clamp $10 You could go cheaper, but it won’t be as solid. I’m 6’5” 250, my daughter is 6’1” 170, my son is a 6’8” 290 footballer player. The BikeErg is adjustable for all of us and solid enough to handle my son doing sprint workouts (he’s broken seats and pedals on cheaper bikes in his high school weight room). What it can’t do. The quibble you will hear (not mine since I know what the machine is designed for) is that it can be awkward to adjust the resistance during a workout. That’s not really how Concept 2 machines are designed to work. The vast majority of people should set the fan so they can work comfortably at 60-80 rpm for 30 min. Normally about 3-4. Increased effort happens through increasing your cadence. It’s not really designed to easily mimic a bike going uphill. You can’t go wrong buying this BikeErg. If it’s not for you it will sell on Craigslist in 5 min for close to retail price.DrAmBer

I had gotten really into spin workouts at my local gym, but found it difficult to get there sometimes day to day. So, I started researching spin bikes that could work in my home. I was on a budget so was definitely trying to keep my purchase below $600. After a lot of research, including trying some bikes in shops, I landed on this one and I am very pleased so far. It's super easy to set up, is very quiet and sturdy, and has met all of my expectations and needs. I love that even if I only have about 30 minutes, I can hop on the bike, get in a good workout and go about my day. Before that would have been at least an hour between getting to the gym, changing, and my commute home, which means I worked out much less than I do now. I've only had the bike for a month, but so far, I really love it!Shannon

I only bought this bike last week, but I love it so far! I researched for months on different sites and different products. I was hoping for the iC4, but it's out of stock everywhere. This one was in stock and available to pickup. All the issues I've read about seem to be related to mishandling during shipping. I followed all assembly instructions, especially pedal installation, making sure they were threaded on straight and then tightened with the wrench. The bike is super quiet. I've preemptively bought some silicone lubricant for the wheel and brake pad after reading about noise. I watched some videos on maintenance and it's super easy to care for. I think a lot of issues come up because people think you don't have to take care of expensive equipment. The seat is a traditional racing seat, so it's uncomfortable if you have a big butt like me, but I bought a padded cover and it makes it more bearable. I'm 5'9" and heavy and the bike is big and sturdy enough. I'm not sure how accurate the display numbers are, but I'm also not such a serious rider that I need the most accurate stats; I just want a good cardio workout and hopefully drop some pounds. The only regret I have is that I didn't buy this sooner!amber74

I bought this bike ~9 months ago, to replace a cheap one that, while it looked like this Schwinn on the outside, had a resistance mechanism that just didn't work. What a relief it was to get on this IC3! I've been riding ~6X a week & it's still working well. My favorite feature (besides the fact that the resistor/brake function works) is the horizontal adjustment feature for the handlebars. If I can't adjust the handlebars both vertically & horizontally, my hands fall asleep while riding. No worries for that issue with this bike. As several reviewers have noted, the "computer" is pretty awful. The timer works (mine loses about a tenth of a second per minute, but that's not a big deal) and the rpm meter, when you can see it (seems like it's always on mph when I glance down) is accurate. The calorie count is a flat 13 calories per minute, no matter how fast or slowly you go, so that's not even vaguely right. The unit rarely picks up my pulse transmitter, but when it does it's laughably inaccurate, to the tune of 50bpm high or low. I don't know if the distance is accurate, because I totally don't care about that. It should be, but given that this unit was clearly programmed by people who don't bike, I wouldn't bet on it. On the other hand – see those down-facing brackets at the top? If the top one disappears, you're going under 60bpm. That could mean that you have so much resistance on that you're going to blow out your knees, so that's a handy signal to have. Despite my grumping about the monitor, this is a really great bike. All most of us need from a monitor is to know how long we've been pedaling & enough bpm info to make sure we're in a knee-safe range. And this monitor does that just fine. The bike is outstanding – sturdy & responsive. And both the seat and the handlebars are adjustable in two dimensions, hooray!MegM01

I am so so happy with this bike. I am 75 and put the bike together by myself in about an hour. Directions are really clear; take your time and enjoy the process of putting it together. Bike is so quiet and very smooth ride. Love the scanner that includes heart rate, miles, calories, time peddling. The bike is really sturdy and fits in an 18 inch square space when closed. Very easy to close and open. Yes, pull the pin to open and close the bike……there are two holes that line up for open and close position. The seat is also really comfortable. If you are trying to decide whether to buy or not, I recommend you buy it. It is really worth every penny and your body will thank you for helping it stay healthy.woffette

In response to P65 for consumers . . .it's a warning label such as don't use a curling iron while in the tub, or consume paint chips. "Should I worry about Prop 65? Probably not. The Prop 65 label is like a noisy alarm that rings equally loudly about smaller amounts of low-risk substances and huge amounts of potentially harmful chemicals. The labels don't say how much of the chemical is present, or how much it would really take to make a person sick." And one key word is "might"! Most items should probably have this label on it! All the toxins we purchase is outrageous-but unless you are licking, consuming, or eating the paint chips, etc. the worries should be labeled but it's safe to use. Purchased the bike on 1/18/21 so just had t for 1 month and today (2/24/21), while using it, the belt from the crank to the flywheel popped off the crank. I had to take ~10 screws to remove the belt cover and realign. I notice the crank pull is a bad design and done not allow the belt to self align or force the belt in the grooves. All this could of been prevented only if the designers would of added a higher wall on the pulley to keep the belt in place. Other than this, the bike was great.trung

An okay machine for the price, but the company really should move manufacture to India for better quality if it's going to stay offshore. Assembly hardware is so-so. The digital display needs a backlight, hard to make anything out. The provided tools are cumbersome to work with, ended up using my own. Comes with cheap Chinese batteries for the display, toss them and put in some high quality AAAs. Seat is hard on my wife and daughter's, um, area. An ordinary bike, nothing special.Richard D.

Amazing experience with this purchase and Sunny Health Fitness. We knew our options for exercising would be limited as COVID-19 began to spread. We are both disabled and being able to exercise is vital to both our mental and physical health. We have a small living space and did not think we could squeeze a treadmill into it; and the cost was quite prohibitive. We decided to search for a stationary bike instead and found this online with Sunny – so we decided to go for it. I was concerned that it might take weeks, maybe even months, before our purchase would arrive. We understood that might happen with the nationwide shutdowns due to the virus. We were completely blown away by the excellent communication from Sunny's skeleton crew. The bike was delivered safely in a very short period of time (thx to the delivery co. as well). It was easy to put together, no missing parts, all drilled holes lined up. I had been dubious about the pink color. While I do like pink – I am sharing this with a male and it is now in our living room – I thought it might look cheesy, too girly / childish or gaudy in our space. It is actually very cute and attractive! We love it! It is not cheap (I expected it might be due to the great price). It is very well made. Works great. We are using it every day. I love to sit on it and watch the news. The seat is quite good. The tension is easy to adjust. I was surprised by what a great workout this can help one achieve. It is not completely silent, but the noise is not loud or annoying at all. We are very, very pleased with our purchase and want to thank the Sunny employees who worked so hard at communicating and getting our purchase to us safely and quickly in such extraordinary times. We looked at the different stationary bikes for some time before ultimately going with this one. I wasn't worried with 'riding w/others' & didn't find a reason to have the specific shoes especially since it's 2 of us. It's quiet & the dial for resistance is smooth. Handlebars are positioned well comfortable. Seat could be a little cushier, there's a possibility to replace that part. Also, no need for a monthly subscription, which apparently you need for others to work. Overall, I am very happy with this bike & would recommend for those who are self motivated & can either watch regular tele or pull up a workout on Amazon Prime. For me, I just couldn't find the need to spend twice as much to be in the 'in crowd' riding what everyone else is, but that's how I roll! Oh, and easy to put together & doesn't take up too much space, a bonus!Crickett

I bought this bike from Dick's about six months ago. I use it almost every day and am quite happy with it after a few additions and modifications. First, the few negatives: I modified the water bottle holder so that it is more forward to avoid hitting the bottle when standing. I swapped the pedals that came with the bike for SPD pedals which work with my mountain bike shoes. I didn't find the JRNY app to be useful. The bike display is OK except for the cadence/RPM display. I have no idea why they use that bar rather than displaying a number. I use zwift and the bike pairs with zwift nicely and displays cadence in the zwift app along with heart rate and power. I'm not certain how the bike reports power and there's some evidence that it overstates power. I don't race on zwift and only do workouts and group rides so I'm not really too concerned about having accurate power numbers. Here are the good points: The bike is very stable and comfortable. It has lots of adjustability to fit the rider. The saddle is remarkably good for a stationary bike. The magnetic resistance is great and very responsive. The bike is absolutely silent and very smooth. The bike is a very good value for the price. It's not quite a full smart bike because it doesn't adjust resistance automatically based on changes in terrain when using an app like zwift. I don't downgrade it for that because it doesn't claim to do that. I knocked off 1 star based on the water bottle holder position and the cadence display. (I would rate it 4.5 if I had that option). This bike is made by NordikTrack and is branded as Schwinn IC4 and an almost identical Bowflex C7 which only slightly differs cosmetically. NordikTrack could easily fix those two issues. Several users reported problems with the pedals included with the bike. I didn't use them as I swapped them for the SPD when I first started using the bike.man with dog

Bought this bike to incorporate into my at home exercise. It was easy to assemble, and everything moves smoothly. The seat was mildly uncomfortable so I replaced it and added a gel cushion. I've had it for about 2 weeks now, and use it almost daily. I'm glad I made the purchase and would easily recommend this to friends and associates looking to amp up at home cardio.jenlovesgreen

Hey guys! So I have been using my exercise bike at least 4x a week since getting it and loving being able to still get an easy sweat session up in lockdown. Here are some of my pros/cons so far: Pro: 1. Quick delivery and build time 2. 8x gear options available 3. Gear is a toggle rather than twist 4. Solid distance & speed tracker Cons: 1. The gears are a but stiff (I'm standing at level 3/4 at 100kgs) 2. Handlebars can become a bit wobble over usage.Benjamin H.

The family has been using this bike for the last two years. It is a great starting point for someone that wants to improve their cardio health. We have had a couple of issues, had to purchase two sets of peddles to replace the ones that came with the bike. we also have broken the resistance knob assembly 4 times and have paid for replacements. (the screw that applies pressure to the resistance foot has stripped because it is made from cheap metal) We really beat this unit for all its worth. I being 6'1 220lbs finds the seat needs to come up a bit to get the full stroke from the peddles. The handle bars also need to come up another 2 inches for taller people. But for the money, this cant be beat for a starter bike.Dirk

I assembled it by myself with no problems. The parts fit and lined up well. It is a sturdy bike, it doesn't flex or bend under my weight (203 pounds). The pedaling action is smooth and very quiet. The adjustable magnetic resistance is a great feature. I like the multi-function digital display, which is easy to read. The seat height adjustment is a little awkward; it is necessary to hold in place while you get a hole lined up, then screw in the locking handle. What a wonderful exercise option! Not real easy to assemble, took 1.5 hours. Seat is very comfy for my big behind. My legs are short so I am looking for an idea to make the pedals thicker. I can still use the bike but can't wait for solution to pedal problem. The readouts on screen are easy to read and advance at a nice pace. Bike is 99% silent…no complaints here! It is kind of heavy to move around but not an issue when wheeling while folded. The quality is top-notch and well worth the money spent. Very sturdy construction. This exercise bike is in every way perfect to get enjoyable workouts. It is compact by just removing a pin and pushing it into the 2nd hole so that nothing flops around when you move it on the wheels on the front. The wheels don't touch the ground until you tilt the bike so it is steady when you are riding it with all 4 round rubber pads on the ground. The quiet noise level when working out is the most enjoyable experience as I can watch movies (old Maverick cowboy movies) with the sound not turned up. The peddling motion is really smooth and the readings are easy to read and I can keep my pulse rate right where I want it to be. It takes up very little space when stored up right and is easily moved and fairly light. It takes a 270 lbs man riding easily with no problem. The cost was lower than expected for this quality of a bike. The seat is adjustable for 5' 1" to 5' 7" or 5' 7" to 6' 2". My son in law is 6' 2" at 270 lbs and it works perfect for him. However, this adjustment is not quick as you have to unscrew 3 screws. The work load is also very easy to change with small incremental increases while you are peddling.Donald

If you're under 5'5" don't get the bike. I am 5'2" and have to stand on the balls of my feet at the lowest setting and even then I'm barely reaching. The seat is highly uncomfortable. Its basically metal with a thin fabric covering, zero padding. The arm rests have a no slip grip surface, but once again metal with zero padding. I am a little concerned about the ratio of base width vs bike height. It feels a little wobbly when I try to go fast, so I do feel like I have to take more care about not swaying the bike a lot while on a fast pedal. Personally I want to return it on the comfort alone. If it isn't comfortable I don't see myself using it. It does come with wheels that you can tilt the bike on to move it around, but the bike is very heavy. While you can move it and the wheels do help, I wouldn't plan on having it move it much. I was really lucky that I didn't lose parts. The package that the spare parts came in was opened and loose in the box. The box itself had multiple large holes in it that those little pieces could have fallen through, but that's probably more of an issue with the shipping service.brittany

This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. The bike (as you can see in the pictures) does not take up that much room compared to other pieces of cardio equipment as well which is a bonus.Brewerfan3

Schwinn has pulled a complete bait and switch on these units that to me borders on criminal. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Excellent exercise bike at an excellent price. Free delivery was included and much appreciated that they moved the heavy box into the back room for me. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! Assemble Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike") The bike is very comfortable and includes a console with lots of information and ability to setup custom programs. It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Compare all this to the very similar (and more expensive) Nautilus R618 Recumbent bike that has almost identical features and made by the same company.BobG

As a mom with a school-aged child and a full-time job, it's impossible for me to find time to go to the gym. However I know I need to add some exercise into my daily routine. I did some research and found this spin bike; it's easy to assemble and it doesn't take much space. The bike itself is stable and the ride is smooth. I also want to praise the excellent customer service, they answered my questions promptly and I am very happy with the purchase. It was easy to assemble. Even though I was bad at building stuff, I only took me an hour to finish it. The size is perfect fitted at the corner in my room. It makes zero noise! I have bought this exercise bike for a few days, and I use it every day. The adjustable resistance makes the workout more challenging, and it’s quiet, this make me happy. Even for my nephew, he is 6'2" 255lb men, there is just no frame flexing or movement. Can support his weight completely. Adjustable design make my wife and me use it easily. In the process of using the product, I found that there are adjustable black foot-pads under the bottom bar, increasing the stability of the product by adjusting the black foot-pads. I was not happy with this mini cycle. And here is why: – Resistance doesn’t work. Tried to tighten it and nothing happens. – It doesn’t cycle smoothly at all. It feels very jerky and awkward. – When I started pedaling backwards and then forwards there was a knocking noise in the housing of the mini cycle. I would not recommend this to anyone. It just feels like a cheaply made product you would find at a garage sale. If you really want a mini cycle spend a little more money on a higher quality mini cycle.Scotty_v1

It sounds like a good idea, but I found it impossible to use. The picture shows a person sitting in a chair with her feet o the pedals, presumably "pedaling" the machine. When I tried to pedal, the machine moved and I found no ways to keep it in a fixed position. Even with the "drag" set very low, the machine still moved. Also, in order to pedal, I needed to sit on the very edge of the chair. This was a very insecure position. I wanted to be sitting on a bicycle seat so that my legs cold move freely. Furthermore, the length of the pedal arm was so short that the motion seemed to better suit my ankles rather than my legs. There was no way that i was going to be able to increase my heart rate significantly or my rate of breathing.solarjoe19141

Assembly-I had a helper to put it together and he said the bases and pedals are easy to put on, battery compartment is tricky but they put all the screws and a little tool in the box so that was nice. Use-excellent! It works exactly as a full size exercise bike does. As some reviews have said it does have a little 'skip' when you pedal as the counter clicks over but not a big deal and I don't even notice it any more. Does not slide around on carpet or hard flooring. Overall-5 stars. Very nice little exerciser, I've been using it every day and pedal during the commercials instead of snacking!bert501

This is one of the best and most useful pieces of health equipment. The bike works much better than magnetic resistance as it can hold over 300 lbs on a standing hill climb. I would recommend this bike to anyone whom is trying to purchase a really expensive bike or another brand with other features. You do not need the automatic and computer features. Get yourself a smart wearable that links to an app on your phone to track everything and save yourself some money. I have lost 35 lbs to date with this great bike! I really enjoy riding this exercise bike daily. It’s very smooth and incredibly quiet so I don’t have to turn up the TV more then normal volume while riding. The seat and handle bars are adjustable which are also nice. It’s a great size to have behind our couch but not be obtrusive visually in any way. When we move it the wheels on the front are great & have don’t affect the bikes stability in any way. The seat that comes with it is very uncomfortable but was able to find a nice replacement on Amazon. I/we are very happy with this purchase! Happy riding!😊Brian J.

This bike is heavy but well-constructed. Since I've only had the bike for a couple weeks, I'm still getting used to it. The seat is uncomfortable, so I will see about getting a replacement that is a little wider. Also, I've found that my hands fall asleep, so I will try adjusting the height of the handlebars to see if that helps. I do like that it's very quiet and am hoping that with time I will be very happy with my purchase.Charles D.

It's been over a month that i own this bike. I love doing indoor cycling and i never imagined i would own one. I loved the price and decided to purchased one specially with this pandemic that we can't risk on going out and plus having 3 kids at home. I love riding my bike but suddenly the on one of the sides of the felt pad is folding when I'm riding the bike and it makes is so hard to ride even if it has low resistance added. Great bike! Easy resistance controls, works well, has a water bottle holder which is practical. Seat gets uncomfortable after some time on it so I cushion it with a blanket. It's very loud with higher resistance. But still definitely worth it. It's also kind of hard to set your tablet down anywhere if you want to watch a movie while cycling, and it doesn't tell you any distances or calories burned, but I still definitely recommend it.Karina K.

I wanted to buy a bike that would help me lower my blood sugars. I live in a cold and snowy climate so during the winter you can not get out much for exercise. And I did not want to join a gym. So I researched upright stationary bikes. This one came up as one of the good ones. Things I like are the weight limit worked for me, Sturdy even if I get moving fast, quiet, and has some pre-programmed settings. The one thing that could be worked on is learning how to use the program settings and all the bike does. I had to google youtube and watch people's videos to understand the settings. I did order a seat thinking it was a bigger seat for the bike and it was the same size. In the description, I assumed it was an upgraded seat . I will keep it though because if there is one thing I think will break down it will be the seat, as I am not a small person.Exercise wont kill me

I looked at the full range of exercise bikes ranging from $150 to $3000. I was looking for something similar to the ones I have used at health clubs in the past (in the cardio area not the spinning rooms). Nothing fancy, just one that offers simple workout routines with various workout levels and tracks your calories, distance, etc, doesn't require a tablet or phone, and doesn't break the bank. Ive had this bike for about 6 weeks now and this is exactly that. It's well built, comfortable, easy to use, compact, light and easy to move around, and affordable. If you are looking for a spinning style bike with a weighted fly-wheel (ie Pelaton), this is not it. If you need live instructors or virtual rides on a large built-in screen, this is not it (although this does connect with the Explore the World app that syncs with the machine and you can do virtual rides on your phone or tablet). If you are looking to spend a lot of money for the bike and additional monthly fees for the live workout subscriptions, this is not it. This is just a great, simple exercise bike at a great price. Also, it is easy to put together. All the tools are included and it takes about 30-60 minutes depending upon your skill level. Several people have posted Youtube videos of how to assemble it which made it even easier. At the time I bought it Target had it on sale and with the red card discount it was the best price. They also delivered it in just a couple days. I highly recommend the bike . . . if it is what you are looking for.ggsindy

I think the only good thing about this bike is the price point 🙁 The assembly of the bike was super easy. I was able to assemble it 80% alone. The rest of it was too heavy for me to hold and screw at the same time so my husband helped with that part (handle bars). There’s a few major disappointments here. First, the left pedal is impossible to screw on. It tells you to tighten it counter clockwise, which we did. But the grooves don’t work (idk how else to explain it). The left pedal doesn’t fasten completely to the leg of the bike. We thought maybe it’s not supposed to (?), so I got up and tested it. After pedaling for three seconds, the left pedal popped completely off. We tried for nearly an hour to get this pedal to screw on all the way but it never did. That night, I reached out to the email address provided in the instructions to ask them for help with the part. We got a reply from a bot, advising us to turn the pedal counterclockwise, which we already did for an hour. I replied to the bot saying we tried that with no luck. Despite their bot promising contact from an actual team member, we still haven’t heard back (it’s been two days). Then, I decided to call the support phone number provided. It also goes to a bot, who advises they’ll only transfer me to a human if I register my product and provide my registration number to them. So note, if you got this bike secondhand and need help from customer service, it’ll be nearly impossible unless you have the registration number. My husband somehow managed to get the pedal halfway screwed on enough for us to use it without the left foot busting off mid stride, but it is sooooo wonky. The pedal jiggled around and is very unstable and not safe to ride at all. When I finally registered my product, I called the support number back. I indicated I wanted to return the product because I’m completely over it. After clicking thru the menu, once I told it I didn’t buy it directly from the manufacturer the bot told me “please go to the store you bought your item from to complete your return. Goodbye.” This infuriated me! I understand they didn’t sell me the bike so I can’t return it to them, but this is the least concerned company about their products or customer service. I will ever in my life purchase anything from this company again. The other issue I have is I feel like the bike isn’t made for short people. I’m 5 foot even and the seat is too tall for me, even when it’s on the lowest setting. When I stand next to bike, the seat hits mid torso when it should hit right about my hips/pelvis. My feet lift off the pedals when I hit the bottom of my stride. This isn’t something I can even ask them to fix so it’s a total bust at this point. Finally, the seat is UNBEARABLE! It’s narrow and hard as a rock. Just icing on the cake.Monica
