Best Vinyl Siding Cleaner For Oxidation (2025 Update)

I have a pressure washer and it works fine. Taking it out of storage, extension cords, hooking up the long hose, pouring in the liquid cleaner, well it's not too much to ask, but if I can avoid it, that's a welcome break. Two years ago, I shredded my screens with the pressure washer, so I still have a hate-hate relationship with my PW. So I have this bottle of Scott's House & Siding Zero Scrub that says it reaches the second floor and that's another plus. There is not enough pressure in a PW to apply pressure enough for the second floor without a ladder. The Scott's bottle is not a big, heavy load; it's concentrated. All you have to do is attach it to the hose and fire away. You just need to spray the surface uniformly wet and move on. I think you are wasting your Zero Scrub if you try to blast away until it looks good. Ok. I did two sides of my 2-story with one bottle. I tossed the bottle in my recycling bin and did the walk-around inspection. I must admit I wasn't quite bowled over. Thers still was quite a bit of algae or whatever that green stuff is. I thought maybe I did something wrong. I went back to the recycle bin and retrieved the bottle and read that it continues to work for as much as two or three days, as I remember it. Sure enough in two days, I was pleased with the job, no sign of green algae and I really do appreciate the work and effort and damage saved by not using my pressure washer.GIJoe

Scotts® Outdoor Cleaner House & Siding with ZeroScrub™ Technology Was something we got to help us remove moss from certain areas of our home before the settling winter. I must say we did get this in the middle of fall weather where it rains in the northwest. You essentially need a dry day and surface for this to take effect. We finally found a good two or three days of dry weather and sun so we applied it to remove moss on our cement patio and our siding. The solution was easy to apply either with the help of the hose or pressure washer as it’s easy to connect. We made sure to remove all patio furniture and follow directions. One things that make me nervous about using this continuously are all the cautions for touching this solution, unrepairable eye damage if put in contact with it, and making sure to not leave the solution soaking in the grass. It seems like there are many cautions that a mistake may be bound to happen when using this over time. The results were great and it did remove moss from our patio with just a one time spray and saved us time. The siding area we did under our window worked well too. It was very easy to apply and we noticed a huge difference in our siding in comparison to other areas. I’m we are happy with the results, but the cautions seem like many I would not want to be encounter; thus, it is important to wear eyes protection and gloves. I think some rebound spray would be hard to avoid in you choose to spray this high on a two story home from the floor along the sides where there is only 5 feet distance from the gate. I would not use this solution if there is a chance that rebound spray would hit my skin/eyes. Make sure you can stand far away to avoid that. For future cleaning, we may only use this sparingly in tough moss covered areas where we can get clearance from any solution spray. Overall, we were happy with the final results.Crystalpower

I love this house and siding cleaner! First things first, this stuff is high quality. The cleaner works so, so well. I can tell it's a high quality product because of how well it works. Applying the spray is really easy too. All you do is attach the bottle to your garden hose, and point and spray it at your house/siding. This works really well on pretty much any surface! You do not have to use a pressure washer or anything either, and you don't have to scrub it off! What I love is that this product removes most mold/moss/mildew. It also starts working within 24 hours. You will see a difference after that amount of time but after a few days, you will really notice a difference. Also, this product lasts quite a while too! Purchased smaller bottles found at Big Lots and used. Had to get really close to the siding to leverage pressure from hose to remove dirt from siding. Used a LOT of water. Could not tell if solution was actually mixing with the water. Siding appeared much cleaner than expected after it dried. Product seems to work while drying. Heavier soiled areas were tougher. Could not reach upper levels that were soiled. Pressure wasn't strong enough to remove dirt even while standing on ladder. You MUST wear protective glasses, hat and clothes that will get very wet. All in all, product "worked", but not as advertised. There is no "spray on and dirt comes right off". You could probably just use a power washer and get the same results if not better. results.housecleaner28

I bought this product this week to use on my house which proved to be a mistake. All I got out of it was a waste of time, money & water. The only was this product does any dirt removal is with a stiff bristle brush and elbow grease. It does reach up to the roof area but that's the hose pressure, Nothing that the Clorox bottle has to do with. It doesn't hurt plants or lawn, That's because it can't even clean vinyl.. The only real cleaning that I saw was the hose pressure removing ground level loose dirt. We've used other products each year and never had these poor results. I won't waste my money on this overpriced bottle of water in the future. I'm going back to what works for us. Thanks Clorox for making another "One Time" customer..Gregory

I bought this today from Lowes; they offered several different brands of cleaners but I chose clorox brand due to the name. Following the directions exactly, I rinsed the side of the house as directed, then sprayed the product and waited the minute and then rinsed. Not one bit of dirt or mold on the siding was removed! I repeated the steps and let the product sit for five minutes, and again no noticeable improvement. This is complete garbage. Now I have to head back to Lowes and get my money back.Ken1234

The hose end sprayer bottle was very convenient to use. I have recently bought a house, and the vinyl siding in the gables was very dirty. Mold Armor made them shine in a short amount of time. I loved the way it works. The only caution I would give is that it did have a bleaching effect on clothes. Dress accordingly and all is good.tmcceary

I have a double wide mobile home I have owned for 22 years as a brand new home. Over the years i have had it power washed using cleaners, power washed with no cleaners. The person who mows my lawn for me washed my home with this product with just attaching it to my hose. My home looks brand new again! i bought 2 of these as i didn't know how much i may need. i am returning both unused bottles. both bottles had massive leaks around where the hose connection end connects to the bottle. i get sprayed as soon as i put any water pressure to it. i didnt plan on getting soaked while trying to use these. i guess ill just pay someone to do it.Mathew

Since I have a heavily soiled area with mold, I actually put it in a spray bottle, sprayed it on the house and used a nylon brush to do a little scrubbing before power washing it. Some areas took 2 coats but I am happy with the results and it did not kill any of the plants around the house.Tom

The house I bought had a heavy coating of green on the north side siding. I figured it was going to take a lot of scrubbing but I was able to give the house a good spraying of the cleaner on the siding and let it settle for a bit. I used the strong nozzle to be able to reach the second floor and with that I was amazed that it cleaned the surface well and has given a clean shine to the siding.Gary W.

Maybe the worst yard/outdoor product I've ever used. Honestly, the bottle failed so spectacularly I'm almost convinced I had a defective unit. After reading the directions I hooked up my hose (which I've never had any trouble with) and went to turn on the water. Instantly water was steadily coming out of the hose connection and the sprayer. I confirmed I had it in the "off" position, and tightened the connection as much as I could. Didn't matter. I figured it was just a poor seal and turned the sprayer to the "on" position when all chaos broke loose. The black front nozzle popped out about 90% of the way and water aggressively came out of both the hose connection and sprayer. This resulted in chemicals pouring out all over my yard, and more specifically, all over me. I tried pushing in the sprayer, which reduced the amount of water/chemicals spraying out at every end, but the stream was only going about ten feet. Still worse, nothing stopped the absolute disaster, not even moving the sprayer back to "off". After three failed attempts I finally gave up and threw this pathetic excuse for a product in the trash. The regular version of this product gets great reviews, and I should have noticed that this version has a significant amount of 1 star reviews. Buyers beware, while the product on the inside is great, this company took too many shortcuts designing the sprayer and the results are, in my opinion, something that should be recalled from all shelves.Andy

I have been using WAF for 11 years. It always works and moss/mildew won’t come back for a long time. Takes a few days, but nothing else works better. Bleach is very bad for vinyl siding bcz it fades and drys it out which makes it brittle/cracking. Wet and Forget won’t do that. Worth the money and peace of mind. I always cover my shrubs with a plastic drop cloth. Follow the directions and you will be very pleased with this product.Peaches8

Excellent product that applies well across a broad area. I was skeptical about how far it sprayed but it indeed goes up at least 30 feet. The instructions say to cover or wash shrubs but I didn't have any problems. So far I've had the product on my vinyl siding for 7 months and there is no sign of mildew returning. I live on a lake in south Ga so there is plenty of humidity to foster mildew growth. The only negative I ran into is it does smear the windows and you will have to spend time cleaning them.BWise101

I've often neglected cleaning the inside of my boat this year. As I live near the water things are quiet humid so the mildew forms quickly on the White Vinyl seats, rubber handles, etc. I had tried other "marine" mildew removers in past with little results. I moved to spot treating with chlorine bleach and water. It worked a little better, but of course, bleach is harsh and can quickly destroy things such as the stitching in the seats and even stain the carpet. Decided to give another try to over the counter products and bought Starbright Mildew Stain remover off the shelf at my neighborhood Walmart. "It works!!!" I moved around my boat spraying the black stains and by the time I had circled back to the first stain the Mildew was gone. The stains even disappeared in places that straight bleach didn't have any noticeable effect before! I followed with a proper wiping/washing of the seats and rubber handles and I could not believe the results. The product claims to be safe for these and other surfaces, yet I couldn't believe that it worked better than my go to "bleach." Buy it, spray it on, wait a few minutes and wipe off!Russell

We purchased a used pontoon boat last fall and I never found the time to clean it. It had old mildew stains on all seats. We placed the pontoon in the water memorial weekend and it was overturned a few weeks later in a severe storm. Three of the five benches fell out when it was being "recovered from the lake" so I thought this was the perfect time to clean them since they were on the shore in reach of a hose. It was windy but I had no other option but to use this product in these conditions. I found that even with the wind, it cleaned effectively. I sprayed the solution into the seat and used a washcloth to rub it around. At first I was disappointed because it didn't wipe right off…but wait…as I continued working down the bench the stains disappeared. Joy and amazement! Then I began to spray and use a toothbrush in a circular motion (using the washcloth to catch the drips). This seemed to work more efficiently. I ended up cleaning all the vinyl seats and console and still have cleaner in the bottle! I did rinse the seats with the hose. The benches still on the boat were a little more difficult to clean. One required 3 applications. I used the toothbrush and worked it in. Then sprayed a little more on top and let it sit. (It seems I read somewhere it only works when it is wet.). I am very happy with the results and if it wasn't for the storm damage (rips, etc) these seats look new. Now I get to try vinyl repair.Barrelracermom

Wow! Best ever, One application was all that was need. We have a 13 ft vinyl raft we use for white water rafting. The mildew that was on our raft was at least a few years old. We tried other stuff but didn't get it off and didn't want to hurt the raft. Checked prices at Amazon and Walmart. The best price was with Whole sale Marine. Highly recommended. This stuff is amazing. It removed the tree sap from my old truck that had sat under a poplar tree for 3 years. Sprayed it on and watched the dirt drip off. A mechanic working at One Performance in Dumfries, VA recommended it.TERRY

This stuff is so bad it made me dig through account from 30 days ago to give it a 1 star. It does NOTHING as far as cleaning or cutting mold/mildew. Mixed it 2 cups to a gallon because I just washed house 3 months ago and needed a quick clean up. Pretty sure you could drink this and be fine. My neighbors mold came over to hang out after. I decided to pressure wash my own house this year instead of paying a guy $240 to do it so I tried this Krud Kutter House Wash and it worked fine but I found that if I added about a quarter cup of bleach to the mix it worked a whole lot better! I would buy this again next year if I decided to pressure wash my house again and probably would add that amount of bleach again. I wouldn?t recommend anyone else use it that way but it worked for me.Byron

I have used one-step products before to try and cut down the pre-launch work, but have been disappointed. The hull on my boat was really getting oxidized, so I thought I'd try this product which was touting itself as for heavily oxidized hulls. I followed the instructions and used a lambs wool buffer pad to apply the product, and removed it with a microfiber cloth by hand before it hazed over. The results were tremendous. I couldn't believe how well it brought back the finish. The accent stripes on the hull were particularly getting dull. Now, they look almost brand new. A couple of particularly bad areas needed a second application, but I cannot say enough good things about how well this stuff worked for me, and how easy it was to apply. I'm not sure who 3m is trying to kid . . . I've seen their product prices skyrocket over the last 5 years without any particular suggestion that the economy or supply lines are driving these huge price increases. The container that they put this product in has a very short shelf life, regardless of how you store it, regardless of the temperature you store it at. You can expect to lose this product through cracks and actual breakage within an unreasonably short period of time. The product works well in certain situations and is a one-step solution for some jobs. But the price is ridiculous and the threat of losing the product as a result of crackage in the container is untenable. Often a #1 compound followed by a wax of your choice will give you better results, and the containers that these latter products come in will last a long time.Emily

So, let me start by saying I've never used an orbital polisher, or polishing compound. There was a learning curve. Like 1/2 a boat learning curve. The first 1/4 of a 24' boat took 4 hours, the other 3/4 (and going back over the first 1/4) took about 4 hours. But WOW what a difference in the before and after. Removed the white chalky oxidation and water spots from years of neglect on this boat. Let me share my revelations and experience: 1. I used a variable speed 10A polisher I got for about $40. It had all the power I needed. This could never have been done by hand, or with a random orbital polisher. I ran at 1000 RPM until I got the hang of it, then realized 1500 was way better at reducing the grit size and seeing better results. 2. I wish I had shaken the bottle better before I started. I felt like I wasted some time in the beginning with product that was slightly separated. 3. I used foam pads on the polisher. Rather than doing vertical sections of boat, I found it better to do horizontal sections as they contain less contour. Any time your section is all on the same plane or curve, it makes your technique easier. 5. I worked in the shade, but it was August in Texas so it was hot as hell. I tried to be careful not to let the product dry in globs. If they dried, I needed to lightly mist with water to work them. I'm talking spray bottle here, not hose. 6. I actually found that it worked better to apply the polish to the boat in dots/dollops across the section, then work with the polisher. My results weren't as good when I applied polish directly to the foam pad. 7. I did a TON of research on technique and how to do this. In the beginning, I was using quite a bit of water, even tried moistening the foam pad at one point. What a mess! The product was much less effective, went slinging everywhere, and generally was impossible to work with. I ended up with what I though was dried product that just wouldn't come off, but later realized it was water spots that the diluted product could not work properly — remember when I said I went over the first 1/4 again once I knew what I was doing? I finally realized that a fine mist of water from a spray bottle across the dollops just before applying the polisher is perfect. 8. Keep the polisher moving in your section. The higher rotations made quick work of the polishing compound, spreading the grit around as it became smaller and smaller did the best work. When it was so small it was basically dust, I gave it a wipe with a microfiber cloth and there was the shine! 9. I had no problem with decals or stickers. One of my registration stickers pulled up a little bit, but the other was fine. All of my Hull Id Numbers were fine, no damage. I was careful in these areas though and didn't work them too hard. 10. I did wash the boat first, I guess I should have started with that bit of info. 11. I followed up with Meguiars Flagship Premium Marine Wax and the boat looks Amazing! Hopefully if I keep it waxed, it will continue to shine and won't get oxidized like that again. 12. A 24' bowrider didn't even use up a whole bottle. Maybe a half a bottle? I did some pretty good product wasting for that first 1/4 of the boat, so I'd guess 1/2 of the 16oz bottle would have been appropriate. 13. I didn't know what oxidation level my boat had, but now I'd describe it as light/medium. It's worth mentioning that I didn't do the underside of the hull. The oxidation is MUCH worse there, and probably needs wet sanding. It's also awkward as all get-out to reach, so I skipped it for now. I think the pics are pretty self explanatory. I tried to show my tools and progress. Hope my experience in bumbling through is helpful to someone else!!N.

I had sprinkler rust stains on my vinyl siding and tried many products and even home made products to try to remove them, to no avail. I read the reviews on StarBrite Rust Stain Remover and decided to give it a try. I was totally amazed how well it worked. Seems pricey but it was well worth it. It removed rust stains from fibre glass in just 5 minutes that wouldn't shift with compounding or machine polishing. Well worth a try but you need to wear a mask and gloves as it's a big potent smelling when using. Odour clears quickly after the area has been wiped down. More spring cleaning this past weekend, and this time, the patio set and outdoor bar were the targets. Our patio furniture looked dirty and dull from not being used in several months. The patio furniture and bar have granite tops, the frames are made of aluminum (painted) and the cushions are covered with outdoor fabric. I sprayed the 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner on 2 pieces at a time – then I'd rub lightly with a sponge, then rinsed each piece thoroughly with water. The tops and frames look brand-new! Next, I laid out all the cushions on our deck and sprayed the 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner on one side, let the cleaner soak for about 10 minutes then rinsed again with water. Any traces of mildew stains were easily removed, not to mention all the dirt and grime were gone too! I flipped all the cushions and repeated the process on the other side and got the same great results. My patio and bar look brand-new thanks to 303!FLMatt

My wife likes to wipe down the quartz kitchen counters every day so I ask her to try my 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner on the counters. A few minutes later she was over showing me how much grime she had on her wiping cloth. She couldn't believe how sparkly the counters were. Well, from there it was a race around the house to find other things she could try it on. So, the stainless refrigerator, glass top table, stove top etc. all got the 303 treatment. I used this product to clean some dirt, droppings and oil off my classic truck and it worked well in removing all of these. In the case of the most stubborn dirt, it needed several applications. I didn't note any streaks after cleaning with a microfiber towel. Note: The bottle was leaking through the packaging when I received the product. I will continue to use this on all of my vehicles. This cleaner has a foaming action that seems to work on contact. I applied the cleaner, let it set for a few minutes, scrub and rinse. Easy to use and safe around plants and grasses. I am having good luck with this cleaner. So far I have cleaned my sidewalk to my porch as well. I am sure I will be purchasing more in the near future. It has a pleasant fragrance which I love. I have a concrete slab, very big, and it tends to turn dark and spotty throughout the year with rain, snow, ice, dirt and whatever. I tried this on a small section just to see what I will be able to do in a few weeks to clean it off and it looks fantastic! I can't wait to clean up everything around the yard including the exterior areas with the white vinyl siding on it. Most of the exterior is brick and looks great but the siding is grimy and dirty. I used this to try to remove rust stains from my walkway and driveway. Used the whole gallon according to directions. (Got two applications out of it) While this came highly recommended by a neighbor I saw very little improvement in the stains.Yvonne

Rust Aid is the only thing that takes the well water rust from my sidewalks and house siding. My water is so bad I have to spray Rust Aid on three times from May to September and the results are amazing. The rust disappears right before my eyes. The bottle says to spray full strength, but experimenting I've found I can use two parts Rust Aid to one part water, and it still does a great job.Ron

I wish the product stated that it does NOT remove rust stains caused from iron/metals. I'm sure it probably works great on fertilizer/chemical rust stains, but my rust is a result of my patio chair legs. The leg tips wore down so it was just metal against concrete. Add some water, and it's rustland in the center of my patio. I tried this product on 2 of the stains – luckily I tried it on a relatively small area – and all it did was bleached out the concrete and left a bright white spot about the size of a ping pong racket, and the rust stain did not budge. in fact, it highlighted the stain because now the stain is in the white spot. I don't even know who I can give this to because I don't want it in my house. I'll probably just leave it out with the trash in case anyone wants it because I don't think I can send it back.Fromadistance

The instructions for the cleaning process were thorough and very easy to understand. The unit was easy to put together onto my hose so that I could quickly get started. I started with rinsing the house and was pleasantly surprised at the force and distance of the sprayer. It’s shot straight out with a good force and remove dirt that I had not even seen on the side of my house and which is a wood material on my back patio. The unit with the cleaning solution was not heavy so it was easy to lift and point the spray into crevices that were higher up. I was surprised with the amount of dirt that it was removing. After the initial rinse, I moved on to using the cleaner. It was very easy to turn the knob on the unit to get to the rinse cycle and begin. There was not a strong chemical smell and you can tell there was some product in there as it produced suds on the side of the house. At this point, I did not see any difference from the rinse cycle on my house. And after the cleaning process, I let it sit for two minutes without drying. I did have to rush a couple of areas to get some dirt that was not moving and then I rinsed again. I didn’t see any noticeable difference after the chemical rinse that I didn’t notice after the first initial water rinse. Next time moved onto the windows. Again, I was most impressed with the sprayer and the ability to knock debris down easily. I moved onto rinse number to him and really did not notice anything monumentally different than I did after the initial rinse. I was pleased that it dry in a streak free, which I had been most concerned about. Overall, my favorite part of this unit was the force and power of the sprayer and the ease of use. I liked that I didn’t have to pull any triggers to cramp my hand. I just never saw any noticeable difference between the initial rinsing and using the cleaning products. The dirt that was still visible after the rents had to be scrubbed off with a brush and was not removed with the cleaner alone. It was nice and convenient to not have to have multiple bottles of cleaning products for two different jobs and it was nice to have the sprayer easily connected to the cleaner. Much easier than making your own window washing solution or cleaner and scrubbing it onto your wall or window. I’d recommend the product based on the east, convenience and power of the sprayer.Purpie

Rejuvenate Dual System Outdoor Window Cleaner &Siding Cleaner what an awesome product! I was able to hook it up to the hose and make pretty fast work of the 2 system operation. I followed the easy directions of clean bottom to top 10-15' shady areas first and don't let the the cleaning solution dry on windows and rinse top to bottom. Easiest job ever. I received this to try for free and a 20% coupon which I will have to redeem I am sure! I mean if you need a way to get your hour or windows clean and not have to pay someone but this do it yourself and you will be happy with the results if you follow the directions. The siding on our house is over twenty years old and was looking like we were going to have to replace it, then we got our Rejuvenate Dual system outdoor window and siding cleaner. The results were amazing!!! We even used it on stained and dirty concrete block with the same results! And our windows have never been cleaner! This is a complete kit that comes with a nozzle that screws into a plastic bottle that is split between the two solutions. All you have to do is hook your garden house to it and start spraying. We hace a 4 year old travel trailer with tan gel coat fiberglass finish that sat in the Texas sun and paid $$ for a highly recommended detailer who specializes in RVs. Took him 8 hours and barely looked "better". While researching better options, I came across Meguiars Oxidation remover. An hour with it and a rotary polisher and the section we did looked like new! Stock up on this and some good polishing pads and your money will be well spent! In the picture, we polished the left front. You can see the chalky oxidation of the untouched sections. You can also see the reflection of trees in the polished section….no wax yet applied! Two thumbs up!Julie

I have a 33’ CC with a bluish grey gelcoat color. Use this wax every year and it produces outstanding results. Takes off the oxidation with no problem. Do 4’ wide sections at a time and wipe off before it dries so it will be easier to remove. Follow up with the pure wax and, your hull will be smooth, slick, and shine like crazy! This product works! We have a 2002 Trail-Lite Bantam hybrid travel trailer that had sat in the Denver sun every day since its purchase. The exterior was dry, faded looking and would hold on to any dirt or oil that touched the surface. It definitely dated the trailer. I applied this oxidation remover with a 6" orbital buffer and was amazed at the results. The pictures honestly don't do it justice! Use a good terry cloth bonnet and get a few of them as this will cut through oxidation and dirt you didn't know existed. It leaves the surface smooth and shiny. I was surprised at how easily it worked in terms of time. I worked in small 2'x2' areas, going over a few times with the buffer. Before the oxidation remover had a chance to dry, I wiped it clean with a soft cloth. There was a noticeable difference between the area I'd worked and the rest of the trailer. This worked well on the trailer as well as the plastic moulding, which had noticeable dirt and debris that wouldn't wash off. I've included some before and after pictures, but trust me – this really worked. I was worried we'd need to repaint the trailer but now it will definitely get us by for years to come!M.C.

bleach free. Easier on my allergies. I also like the fact it is multi purpose. It can be used on wood, cement, stone, vinyl, terra cotta pots and patio furniture. I am sure a lot more as well, as I continue my cleaning. This product can be applied with a tank sprayer, power washer, or with a bucket. Just dilute with water per directions. This cleaner has a foaming action that seems to work on contact. I applied the cleaner, let it set for a few minutes, scrub and rinse. Easy to use and safe around plants and grasses. I am having good luck with this cleaner. So far I have cleaned my sidewalk to my porch as well. I am sure I will be purchasing more in the near future. It has a pleasant fragrance which I love. Spring is just around the corner and I cannot wait to start cleaning up my patio area for all the BBQ's this coming year! I have a concrete slab, very big, and it tends to turn dark and spotty throughout the year with rain, snow, ice, dirt and whatever. I tried this on a small section just to see what I will be able to do in a few weeks to clean it off and it looks fantastic! I can't wait to clean up everything around the yard including the exterior areas with the white vinyl siding on it. Most of the exterior is brick and looks great but the siding is grimy and dirty. I live in N Georgia where it rains Green….I am impressed with this product. ..after following the directions with dilution through the hose adapter sprayer….I was not impressed …until I poured it into a spray bottle and went full strength no dilution. I sprayed my house down and midway through the side, I look back and my siding was completely white….I had not even pressure washed yet and still haven't…it is not necessary at this point…just full power spray worked all by itself. saved me a ton of hose work. It turned my gutters new looking as well. It does have a strong bleach smell, but nothing to complain about in an algae and mildew house wash. So far it does not appear to have hurt my plants near the house but if it does I will update, because I will be very upset.Nicole

purchased a container of Wet and Forget to clean the roof of our house. I knew one bottle would not be ent. So while I was at Lowes, I purchased 2 bottles of Mold Armor as it was cheaper. A month after applying, the results were drastically different. Now, I have to go back and purchase more Wet and Forget. Not only did this cost me time, now wasted money. Spend the extra money and get it done the first time. Mold Armor did absolutely nothing.M C

I tried three different hoses and all three popped off of the cheap plastic piece that the hose screws into. I even tried to have the unit in the open position (in hopes that this would create less pressure) — no go.
Every time I turned the hose on, it popped off of the item.

I even resorted to using plumber's tape in hopes that this would create a better seal. Nope, this time, it didn't completely pop off, but more water squirted backwards than went thru the item.

Obviously, I have no idea how good the product works because the manufacturer saved a nickel by using a cheapo plastic adapter for the hose to screw into.B Michael

I recently bought two bottles of your professional sprayer containers. I filled one of them with an off brand cleaner and began to clean the inside of my boat. After just two minutes I grabbed the container from the base of the sprayer where it threads into the plastic bottle and it broke. Snapped right off. I tried to snap it back together but no luck. So I drained the cleaner into the second Zep professional sprayer bottle. The second bottle only lasted about five minutes before it broke in the same place. Complete garbage. I can't believe that this product passed any kind of quality control. Certainly this issue is not the first complaint for this horrible product.Rick4863

This citrus version doesn't work near as well as the regular Zep formula, and the smell is pungent and lingers. We usually use the purple formula for garage cleanup and to pre-treat my husband's railroad clothes before washing them, and it works really well, but TSC was out of the purple, so we tried this one. Awful is an understatement. Not only did it clean only half as well as the purple, but the smell intensifies if you put it on a wet rag or when clothes pre-treated with it are washed. When he washed his laundry, the whole house filled with the smell, and even after heavy washing and an extra rinse, the smell lingered. He dried his clothes after washing, and when he wore them, you could not smell fabric softener, his clothes smelled like nothing but the citrus Zep. When using it in the garage, we had to open all 3 windows and the back door, and it was a full 24 hours before the smell had dissipated enough to be in it for any length of time.AutumnD
