Best Vitamins To Tighten Skin (2024 Update)

I love collagen supplements for my hair and skin and to help with getting a little extra protein in my diet. Sometimes though, I don't have the time or the luggage space to bring large powders that require mixing with water. These supplements from Hum contain not only collagen but also vitamin C and other ingredients like polyphenols to help add some antioxidants to my diet. These are powder filled capsules that have zero flavor and were easy to take with water. I wish the nutrition facts included the actual protein per capsule though because it is harder to gauge how much collagen I get in the capsules compared to powder supplements. It is recommended to take 3 capsules per day to see an added benefit. With most collagen I noticed changes in my nails and hair but with this one I notice it more in my skin with a little extra glow compared to when I don't take it. It can be harder for me to take all 3 capsules though and I tend to take just one or 2 since it can be a lot of water needed to wash all 3 down.mshell1445

As a person who works from home, it can be difficult to unwind and get ready for bed at the end of the workday. I normally take melatonin to fall asleep and stay asleep longer. I decided to try this because The first time I grabbed a HUM nutrition product, it was a miracle for me and I was hoping that this melatonin would be the same. I guess it was my mistake by not realizing that this was a sleep supplement WITH melatonin, meaning that melatonin is not the main supplement in these little pills. There’s only 3 mg of melatonin in each. The serving size suggests one pill, however, if I even want to feel tired I have to take three and it puts me in a very very light sleep where I can still hear everything going on around me and if I wake up in the middle the night, I cannot go back to bed. Lastly, I’m not fond of the unnecessary plastic packaging, this bottle can be cut in half and made into two separate bottles! I’m giving this three stars because it may work for others, but as someone who often takes melatonin to get to bed at night and stay asleep… It’s a no from me.Rae1031

I'm obsessed with taking this collagen supplement. If taken consistently, I notice my skin looks more smooth and taut and my joints don't ache as much. I've got old acne scars that tend to show more if I'm dehydrated or eating poorly, and taking collagen helps plump them up so they are less noticeable. I take it before bed usually and when I wake up, my face looks glowy and hydrated. I'm a firm believer in collagen helping with anti-aging; I just wish I'd started taking this alot sooner. My husband had a skin condition that left him with some lesions on his face that were healing but one area looked worse than the rest. Starting using these a couple of months ago and so far I’m pleased. I am not sure I see any improvement in my skin or wrinkles outside of my usual skincare routine. After using this product for 6 months, I have discovered the following results: Hair – An increase, albeit slight, in the rate at which hair is produced. The monthly growth rate increased by just a little. A marginal rise in volume as well. Skin – There have been no discernible changes to the skin. I’ve been taking these for about 5 weeks now and I have noticed two main things. First, my mood has improved! New Chapter Hair, skin and nails is non gmo and vegan which is important to me because, in my opinion, supplements should be "clean". Too many companies use gelatin or cheap fillers. I’ve been using NeoCell Super Collagen for a little over the week now. So far, I’ve really only notice a difference with my nails. They appear to have more strength to them, they’re not as brittle as they used to be. It might be hard for me to tell about my hair since a day or two before receiving this product I started a new line of hair products. I have two complaints, I just now found the scooper that came with it, it should be on top and maybe an actual color instead of clear so it sticks out. When I first opened it I tried looking for one, since it says two scoops, but couldn’t find it, maybe I would of it was black or pink or blue, a color that stood out. Another complaint, but not sure if it really is a complaint or not since I’ve never mixed powders in my drinks, is that it gets clumpy! You have to do it a certain way in order to not be clumpy. I mix mine with my cold brew coffee everyday, I tried oat milk but I think that was too thick. I have to add my cold brew into the glass first then my collagen powder and last my creamer. If I do creamer then collagen powder it clumps. If I do collagen powder then cold brew and creamer it clumps. And I have to mix it with a spoon or it’ll clump up on my straw! It really doesn’t have a flavor to it so that’s a plus! I will definitely continue using it and would consider buying it.lauren .h

I have been taking the Super Collagen + Vitamin C and Biotin by NeoCell for about a month now and so far I'm liking it. I am big on taking supplements, but never took collagen because it was in powder form and I don't like taking powder supplements that you mix with drinks. I'm so glad that they come in pill form now. The pill itself is a little large, but is fairly thin and very easy to swallow. There is no noticeable smell or taste. I've been wanting to take collagen for my joint health, but really appreciate that this also contains a little protein, as well as Vitamin C for immunity and Biotin to help strengthen hair and nails. The regimen is elementary: 1 capsule per day. For the best effect, it is recommended to take on an empty stomach, but it is an acid and not every gastrointestinal tract can tolerate it without a meal. So I decided not to take any chances with my chronic gastritis and take it 2 hours after breakfast. Most of the food has already been digested and the mucous membranes can tolerate the acid. I have head ache very often since I am about 12 y/o maybe following a jaundice, liver infection. Now I am 70. Took this for crippling back pain (of all things) after C-19 seriously messed me up. Already had a bad back for 30+ years, but this was pain x10. Did some deep studying into the problem after seeing some YT video by chance by a doctor advertising one of these proteolytic enzymes and settled on the Doctor's Best because it's actually reasonably priced compared to another heavily advertised proteolytic exzyme brand that's rediculously expensive if you're poor and need to take it every month. I'm really amazed by the results, nothing short of miraculous! I spent all last fall, the winter and spring and a good part of summer on the couch, dreading having to get up to go to the bathroom or cook something to eat. Now, after about a month on it, I'm up and around. Feel better in other ways too. And no, I'm not getting paid by the company, lol. Only drawback is now that my nutrients are more bioavailable, I need to cut back on the snacking. It enables the nutrients that your body would just pass through to do what they weren't before. If C-19 got into your lower back and you're in agony, and desperate for options, I can't recommend this highly enough! Using the laser cap now to grow more hair. Using their vitamins and have added this Biotin to my diet. According to my Doctor GP , to get the best results to use a minimum of 50,000 mcg per day. You cannot Over Dose on this vitamin. So I take five a day and my system is working. Excellent product and the Softgels are the only way to go. I ordered the 14 capsules for trial and loved the option to do so. Besides all the packaging complaints, here is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. Smell: I love how mildly scented these are. The green capsule for night time has a very light lavender scent that I actually enjoy (not a fan of lavender). I forget what the morning one smells like but equally as pleasing. Capsule size: I think the amount of oil in the capsule is a perfect dose for the face, not wasteful at all and covers my entire face. It does make my face glow nice however, after using this for the past week, I noticed my face was dryer than usual almost as if it was dehydrated. I won't be repurchasing for this reason.. I've been using this product for about 3 weeks. I'm not sure if it has improved my hair growth or nail strength. It's hard to tell. These pills are gigantic and you're supposed to take 6 a day! I bought these when the local Walmart was out of the brand I normally use. Within a few days of taking these, my face began to break out. It wasn't just pimples, it was cyst type bumps that would not come to a head. They were very irritated and sore to the touch. I have always had great success with the Differen gel, but it would not clear them up. After researching the ingredients, I found that these were loaded with Biotin, which clogs pores. Hyaluronic Acid occurs naturally in the body but decreases as we age. It is like a natural lubricant to the body. I take this as an anti-aging treatment. I am beginning to notice changes in my skin as I get older (less elasticity, less plumpness) so I want to effectively manage the process to keep my skin looking as youthful as possible. I bought this for the potential skin health benefits. Jarrow use a form of HA that is apparently bioavailable and has been used in clinical studies at this dosage. I use a lot of good skincare as well, so it's hard to say whether this did anything for my skin or not as never tried it on it's own and I don't think I was consistent enough to see a real difference. I took daily it for the full 60 days the bottle covered, but didn't continue (although the studies used it for twelve weeks). I almost always choose Nature Made products because they're highly recommended for being of excellent quality. Many vitamins, including those from the most well known companies do not contain the amount of the vitamin specified on the label. They often have much less. Nature Made is supposed to contain exactly what it says it does. I know many people buy C1000 but I believe the body cannot absorb all that at one time and Vit.C is one of those vitamins that the body secretes fairly easily. So, I use the C500 but take it several times a day. This way I feel I'm getting the full benefit of the vitamin. These are chewable vitamins which make them easy to take and they have a pleasant taste too. I think also that when you take a chewable vitamin it is absorbed more quickly by the body. Some pills and capsules pass right through without breaking down. I take this vitamin regularly and have been for some time. I don't know if there's any connection between vitamin C and colds but I haven't had a cold in over 15 years. I'd like to think that Nature Made C500 has something to do with that!!evelia.p

I have used B-6 100 mg. supplement for over thirty years to control (not cure!) my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. When I first developed this painful and debilitating condition, the medical community did not have a treatment or even a name for it. When it finally became a recognized condition, Reader's Digest ran an article suggesting vitamin B-6 as a good method to relieve the symptoms of tingling and numbness in the hands and fingers. I primarily tried this because my doctor said it would help absorption of other vitamins like iron. I didn't notice any difference when using this and my labs still kept coming back as anemic.
