This product had good hold but I am dissatisfied with how quickly it went flat. I used as directed but the bottle has at least 90% of contents left and no longer expands into a foam when dispensed. It is a runny mess to use and I suspect I use too much when it doesn’t expand. Hair ends up heavy and frozen as if it is still wet. I will not purchase this product again.Jenny
Everything about the packaging is great except I do find it hard to only get small bit into your hand. This could be a good and bad thing depending on how you use the product but when I use it I do have to waste some product because so much comes out. The results left my hair very voluminous. I had a huge difference in my hair, which was great. It lasted a while which was even better. The only downfall is it did leave my hair feeling greasy, if I would run my hands through my hair, my hands would feel oily with the residual product on them. My hair did also begin to look oily towards the end of the day (this was freshly cleaned hair and my hair normally doesnt get oily until I sleep on it for a night). But I did overall love the lift result and someone elses hair may absorb it way differently than mine and may not actually leave any residual product. I usually like this product as it gets my hair nicely loose and volumed for blowdrying, and so I ordered 2 bottles online. One of them is fine but the other doesn’t foam up when pumped – it comes out as liquid mush. Returning is too much of a hassle – who has time for that for a $13 product. I really love this product and a lot less expensive than Aquage root lift. Shake really well, hold the can upside down and apply directly to parted hair at scalp only. When I am going to use a mousse, I always have some expectation of a certain “feeling” in terms of the texture of my hair. The reviews that state that it is difficult to run your fingers through are true… it is… but it feels more like strong hold hair spray. In areas I put too much, it is stiffer but if I did it lightly and directly on my roots, it does not feel that way. I have fine hair for reference. Now the important part and the reason I purchased the product…volume. I have SO MUCH volume. Even when I flatten my hair and then try to “fluff” it up again, it’s so voluminous.

I'm really tired of mousse that are too strong or sticky. This mousse is GREAT and no sticky feel. It really does a great job giving my hair lift. I have layered, color treated shoulder length hair. Sometimes I style it straight, sometimes in a natural wave. This works well either way. And did I say, no sticky feel??!Mature and still wearing makeup!

I have long, fine hair with below-average thickness (not thin, but definitely not thick). I have been getting American Waves (a chemical process similar to a perm) for six months, which gives me a 2A/2B very loose waves. (My natural texture is "bendy", a mix of type 1 and 2A.) This is one of many products I have tried for air-dry styling*. I have used medium-hold gels, salt sprays, mousses, and air-dry creams. This is my favorite product so far for Day 1 results, but doesn't perform as well on Day 2+. What I like: – Like other Moroccanoil products, the smell is amazing and not too strong. – Very rich thick foam (definitely feels like a luxe product) – Gives nice definition and volume on Day 1 – Lightly moisturizing and doesn't weigh my hair down – Not sticky at all What I don't like: – It's pricey – On Day 2+, my hair looked "mussed". I still had good definition, but my whole head had more of a frizzy/fuzzy "halo" that I get with my favorite products (or no products). That said, I am still inexperienced with wavy styling, so that might be due to my (lack of) refresh technique. I am going to experiment with that, and see if I get better results. * I have found that my wash technique has a bigger impact on my results than the styling product I use. I've used various Mousse products in the past, but they all tended to dull my fine, straight hair, while also making it look a bit fuzzy. BUT THIS MOUSSE doesn't do that! It maintains a nice shine and gives gentle lift that I need for my Bobbed style haircut. It is not as strong of a hold as I would desire, but it does provide some hold, and it is so much nicer than chemical laden products. Love that it is clean and actually helpful, rather than harmful to the health of my hair.
This Mousse is wonderful! I have 2b fine curls, so I don’t get much volume naturally. My hair lies pretty flat without products. However, this works great. I especially appreciate it because some cheap quality hair products cause me to have breakouts around the hairline, not EVOLVh!
This is the first mousse I have ever loved. It gives amazing volume with no sticky film and I love that it’s clean. It works great whether my short bob is styled straight or wavy/curly. Even if I refresh my hair with a little elixir or leave in conditioner the next day my hair is never weighed down or sticky. Seriously can’t live without this product.

This product does exactly what I need it to, and is very easy to use! I feel as though the more you use it, the more you see results too. Even on the first day of use my hair looked thicker, healthy, and more alive. The product is not very greasy, and washes off of the hands easily. The hold is not there and my hair is low porosity type 2b hair and i did not find it reducing frizz either. I pair this mousse with the Curl Enhancing Smoothie from the same product line and they work really well together! I section my hair and evenly distribute the Smoothie, then I use this Mousse to focus on my ends. Finally blowdry with a diffuser attachment. When I use both products together my curls clump together nicely and my ends stay frizz-free. I can also use the Mousse on its own for a more natural/less defined curl. I was able to try this product after i found it at the dollar store. I don't particularly use mousse very much anymore but I will use it from time to time. I really like got2b products and have had good experiences with them in the past so I ended up using this product daily. The product is supposed to give you extra volume which is something I really want in my style. It also has an average price of 6.99 which is an ok price for a drugstore mousse…. I was able to get it cheaper since i found it at the dollar store. After washing and towel dying my hair i put a handful of the product into my hair and style as desired. I found it didn't give a sticky or filmy feel to my hair and that my style held really well. I also had a pretty decent amount of hold and volume throughout the day. Does exactly what I want my mousee to do! Okay, just like the hairspray, the first thing I noticed was the heavenly scent. It really does smell great! To me, the scent was so nice that it almost smelled more like a perfume than a hair product. That matters to me, because, well, lets face it, our hair is right by our nose, and who wants a not-nice scent right there all day? So, before I even tried it, I liked the scent. I used it a few times, and was very happy with it. My hair is fairly long, and naturally wavy, but it's also really, really fine. So that means that it often can feel flat. And the roots especially can feel awful to me, just really super-flat and unattractive. So I really liked this mousse because it helped keep my waves in, and my hair where I wanted it to be, and, on top of all that, it gave it volume (especially at the roots! Yesssss!). The other thing I really liked was that it did all this without making my hair feel sticky, or gunky or anything, or too stiff. My hair still felt nice and soft. Oh, and, also, I really love the colours of the can of mousse….it's a pretty, vibrant, cheer-you-up combination of colours – a nice bright yellow, and a lovely bright magenta. Maybe that sounds like a strange thing to mention, but I am the kind of person who always notices all the details, and I'm also the type of person who likes things to look nice; if I'm going to have a can of mousse out on my bathroom counter, why not have it be something that looks nice, right?

I use this before I blow dry my hair, which is medium thickness, dyed blonde and wavy. It works really well in holding volume and making my waves look more controlled. It also lasts well into the next day and day after. You won’t even need dry shampoo until day 3! However, like most mousses, it will make your hair feel a bit stiff and definitely dries it out. I just love this stuff, I had lost all my hair cause I was doing chemo and when my hair started to come back it was not as thick as I once had so I missed my volume and where it was still short I needed it. It's not sticky at all, it smells so good not strong, and the price isn't bad I've paid more for similar products that didn't work. I applied this product on my wet hair. I used a blow dryer to blow dry sections of hair and roll them in roller pins. After taking them out I did not feel like the added product helped give me a volumizing finish. It made my hair feel sort of clammy and dirty. Overpriced and didn’t do much for my liking. I've been looking forward to trying this for a while for my super fine and thin hair, and am extremely happy with it. Really plumps up the hair and makes it look much thicker. This took about a month to arrive due to the fact that legally it must ship by ground plus I'd ordered it just after the Thanksgiving holiday so that might have been a factor. Might try to find it locally in the future but am glad to have it now!

I’m always looking for volume and bought the deluxe trial size to give it a go. This gets rave reviews, but I wasn’t impressed. It’s a foam product that is applied to damp hair at the roots. It requires a lot of babysitting, whether you blow dry (I do not, unless it’s absolutely necessary for a quick look) or air dry. A lot of brushing is required and I just didn’t get results. I have fine, oily hair. I can never go more than three days between washes without looking like a swamp monster even with dry shampoo. I last washed my hair six days ago. I used this and some dry shampoo when I styled my hair. My hair is still fluffy and looks clean. At this point, I'm just seeing how long it's going to last me before I have to wash my hair again because it's defied the laws of science thus far. It gave my hair noticeable volume doesn’t have a super strong scent, but I had to return. It left my color treated hair feeling very dry brittle. Maybe I was using too much, but I’ve used Color WOW’s volumizing mousse with the same amount that made my hair soft. This one would also get my hair stuck in my round brush when blow drying left my hair very frizzy due to the grit it gives your hair. If you’re okay with that then this product is great for volume, but I’m not a fan of my hair feeling dry frizzycallie.h

I am so glad I tried this product! I found out about it from Kate of The Small Things blog. She raves about how this has been her go-to for volume for years. She was a hairdresser, has great hair, so I went for it. She actually shows how she uses it on one of her videos…it's a foam with a skinny nozzle so you direct it where you want it. I lay it down on my scalp in about 4 rows across my head, plus a few across the back. Then rub it in and thru the hair at the scalp. Don't be stingy! Use enough product! Then I comb it thru and use my hairdryer. OMG. The difference between this and every other volume product I've tried (a LOT) is night and day. This truly works! And I can get at least three days of wear before washing. It does not leave my hair with that "head full of product" feel at the end of the day, which is miraculous because most products leave my fine, blonde hair feeling like I can't wait to wash it. I have been using Big Sexy Hair Root Pumps forever. It’s affordable and works great. I have tried a couple more pricy products during this time but always go back. I got a travel size of this for free and decided to try it out. It did give me some volume but nothing compared to BSH. I have fairly fine hair that is not thick and runs oily. This product gives me all-day natural volume whether I choose to wear my hair with its natural wave or blow it out in a straighter style. It feels touchable; I don't feel any buildup or oiliness. I am pretty sensitive to scents, that is my least favorite thing about this product as it does have an artificial confection-like scent but that dissipates after a little while if you can wait it out. It didn't make me sneeze or give me a headache though and I didn't smell like a grandma so since it also gave me the results I wanted I was willing to wait an hour for the bake shop to close! It is CGM-compliant so no silicones or sulfates and cruelty-free which I love. After trying a ton of foams and mouses this is the one I kept and use every day.Amanda

I used this product after using the kit and had a horrifying experience. The back of my neck felt hot and so did my shoulders, after looking in the mirror my entire back was welted and blood red. It was painful and it even worked it's way close to my eyes. After looking at the ingredients I was mortified to see that propane and isobutane was two main ingredients. Maybe harmless to some but obviously not something I normally use.Mara
I have a chin length bob I've styled for years with mousse and a blow dryer. I really liked the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner, so I expected this would perform well. HARD NO. The only good things I can say about it is it smells nice and renders a bit of shine. Otherwise, it offers no body or hold whatsoever. I gave it five tries (on freshly shampooed hair, second day rinse, on freshly colored hair, as well as a couple weeks in). Incredibly disappointing for the money.Godivagrrl
I have fine thin colored/highlighted hair. It has been HUMID and 90+ here for weeks. I was looking for a root lifter spray however the Ulta associate suggested I try this product. Not finding anything else I bought it despite previous meh experiences with mousses. I used as suggested and was very pleased with the results. My hair stayed full and didn't flattened within a day, no extra products needed. Also my hair didn't get dirty and beg to be washed. Now a permanent part of my summer (at least) hair routine.Glinda

I use this mousse to give my limp hair fine hair some thickness and volume. It definitely makes a positive difference. I use about an egg size dollop for my shoulder length hair and it also gives me a nice amount of hold that stands up to the Florida humidity. I then let my hair air dry overnight and then in the morning I use a curling iron to create loose waves. My waves are defined and I also get plenty of nice volume and bounce. I don't even need hairspray. My waves stay in place for several days and the volume is still there even after sleeping. This mousse has a very light pleasant scent that dissipates quickly. It isn't stiff or crunchy at all. It's nothing like the mousse of the 80s and my hair is very pliant and has tons of body. The hold is great and my hair stays in place no matter what the weather dishes out. I'm very satisfied with this mousse and it's become one of my all time favorite styling products. Who knew? I also have the Thickr spray which I don't like nearly as much. This mousse is great for fine hair and never weighs my tresses down. I definitely recommend it highly.dorothy

Leaves my hair soft and easy to work with. Perfect for that messy high ponytail. I wear my hair tied back most of the time and it also flattens to my head while I sleep. This product helps lift the roots so I can style my hair without having to get it wet, use tools, or gunk. It's soft and it doesn't make my scalp its nearly as much as dry hair spray. I can leave this in my hair for days, whereas dry hairspray itches so much, i can't stand it. I will certainly be buying the full size. I have PCOS and other hormonal imbalances, so while it doesn't make my hair stronger (I shed horrifically in general – so the strengthening may be relevant to others but due to my hormone issues it's of no benefit). However, I do have very fine hair and combined with a lightweight volumising spray on the body of my hair this definitely does what it needs to my roots. make sure you comb through and tip your head upside down when blowdrying. I can't even go away for the weekend without it – it's a staple – and I haven't found anything else that comes close. If you don't brush it then it will go a bit crusty on the roots.Elle
I have thin hair, but a lot of it. So it tends to fall flat and it's always been hard to find a good mousse that actually lifts it but isn't too heavy. This stuff is perfect for me! I use it after the shower at night and let it air dry, and I've noticed an immediate difference with how much volume it has now.
