I have experienced a trauma that has caused medical related hair loss too. I bought this shampoo, conditioner & hair tonic. I followed it exactly as indicated for 8wks. I have also been on a medical vitamin regiment. I reordered these 3 products for a second round. There was 1-2 weeks in between 1st & 2nd round. I do not know if these products alone or these products with the vitamin regiment is what is helping, but I can tell an improvement. My hair stylist has confirmed the same. I have been out of the 2nd round for 2-3 weeks. I am now ordering a 3rd round. I have remained on the vitamin regiment. My hair was coming out in handfuls before I started using this. I have only been using this shampoo and conditioner for about a month and I am a believer! I only lose a small (normal) amount of hair when I shower and I don't feel that it's falling out excessively during the day. The reviews are true about this leaving your hair greasy, but after a few weeks of use, my hair has adjusted and is no longer greasy. Take your time really washing your scalp and rinsing, just like your hairdresser would, and you'll be fine. I also switched to a Wet brush made for distributing oil and it has really helped make my hair shiny after using this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is creamy in texture and quite strongly scented like tea tree which I love (but may not be everyone's cup of tea!). It helps clear build-up from my scalp, as promised and doesn't strip my hair color, although I do find it slightly drying – in itself not a problem as the conditioner used straight after balances out the effect. Usually I find it difficult to find an effective shampoo to clear build-up but this one actually does it, and as a bonus I also found it helps keep my scalp clear of the psoriasis that flares up every now and again, possibly due to the Tea tree. With regards to hair fall, I can't say I noticed any difference, but it's possible I just haven't used it long enough. And I don't plan on using it for much longer either because the issue with this shampoo is that whether I use it once, twice or three times per wash, my hair is left feeling/looking greasy and very flat. This became my everyday shampoo for when I wanted a good cleanse, soft strands and volume. I have an oily scalp problem. While it doesn't help delay the oil production, this is able to provide a thorough cleanse, leaving my hair (and the room) with this refreshing orange blossom scent. My most favourite thing about it is that it adds a little Zhoosh to my locks. My hair looks bouncy, with volume and, feels lightweight. It's silicone & sulphate free, and doesn't lather much. The one issue I do have with this is that since the formulation is runny and light, I have to use a considerable amount each time. Before meeting this amazing shampoo, I had been using a drugstore shampoo + conditioner for 6 years which were claiming to be sulfate-free. They changed their ingredients, I ended up with little dandruff, itchiness and hair loss. I made my research and found Briogeo! I read a lot about Briogeo's founder Nancy and hooked by her mission. I decided to give these products a try. I have been using the Blossom and Bloom Ginseng+ Biotin Shampoo + Conditioner + Don't Despair, Repair Hair Oil for about 2 months. My scalp gets oily the second day after washing. So, I wash my hair every other day, or sometimes even skip one more day even if it looks oily. This combination of products gives my thin, wavy(type: 2A) baby soft hair more volume and more shine. My hair now grows stronger and does not feel brittle while brushing. My sensitive scalp does not itch anymore. I must admit that the conditioner makes my hair slightly oily the next day, but I prefer the shiny head to a dry & itchy scalp 🙂
I had high hopes for this shampoo but it’s terrible for oily hair. My hair gets quite oily and dirty and I normally wash it every 3 days, I had never had issues with my other shampoos to cleanse my hair in the past but I did with this shampoo. There was nearly no bubbles even when I rub it in my palms before applying to my hair, and so it’s extremely difficult to clean my hair. The first time I had to use 4 pumps to even get my hair clean! Which is a lot considering how small the bottle is honestly. I haven’t had any noticeable difference either in terms of hair volume or texture, so I’ll strongly suggest that you don’t buy it, and especially DONT if you have oily hair because this shampoo doesn’t even clean it well. it was the first time ordering Pure abundance and it's awful! It doesn't do anything it says on the website and the bottle, my normally excellent, silky, straight hair becomes brittle and I was not able to comb it after washing it. Following even one single use of Pure Abundance, my hair immediately felt much thinner than it is (I have healthy, normal thickness and straight hair), brittle and I was not able to comb it through at all (I had to put in a leave-in conditioner to be able to manage it). I've been on the hunt for the perfect shampoo for my fine hair that has become quite flat, dull and dry. Not fun. I did quite a bit research and first tried a "drugstore" brand that kept coming up which completely ruined my hair further so I thought to go with Pure Abundance as I have used other Aveda hair products before. The first week or so using this shampoo was so amazing, my hair felt like I just came from the salon, and dried so beautifully naturally, but for the past 3 washes, it went down hill and left my hair very greasy and waxy. If I could give this product negative stars I would. I really don’t like being this person but if I can save at least one person from my experience than this is worth the review. I have always had thin hair so I figured I would try this shampoo considering these are suppose to be the main 2 ingredients for hair growth, however, I had the complete opposite affect. A couple of weeks before Christmas I picked up this shampoo and conditioner to try to give my hair a little more life and to get it healthier. I was thinking my regular pantene wasn't doing the trick. 1 week after using this shampoo my hair started falling out in HUGE clumps in the shower. I thought something was seriously wrong with my health or my stress had gotten worse since we just lost a beloved family member. I just thought it was all me. This is the strangest shampoo (and the conditioner) to me. I am used to shampoos that feel frothy and rich, and conditioners that feel silky when I rinse them out. I do a lot of detangling with my fingers in the shower because my hair is so long. It's well past my waist, almost to the top of my legs. Finger detangling in the shower helps prevent a lot of breakage. This shampoo (and the conditioner) scared me at first. I could hardly get my fingers through my hair. It knotted up when I shampooed, and took forever to get the knots out. The shampoo seemed to completely strip my hair, or so it felt. I'm talking SQUEEEEEAKY clean. I assumed that when it dried, it would look like a broom. But it didn't. I also used the conditioner, which didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, either. I didn't use any detangler or hair oil out of the shower because I wanted to see exactly how this stuff worked for me. I carefully detangled with a flat detangling brush and let it air dry. And it looked amazing! I was shocked. My hair was so shiny and soft. It had lots of movement, and my waves had definition. I've used about half of both bottles so far, and I'm not seeing any change. My hair doesn't seem to be drying out or breaking, and I haven't noticed any unusual hair fall. I'm still on the fence, though, because it's so difficult to detangle. The "after" is great for me. I wanted to switch off from the drug store products like dove because it was breaking my hair so much & my hair just ultimately got thin wether from bleaching my hair or genetics. Either way we all know that the drug store products can strip your hair. On Living proofs website they have this hair test where it can help you figure out what hair products they have will be good for your hair type. My hair is fine, thin, brittle and super straight. I wanted more fullness in my hair & so far my hair does not have a lot of breakage anymore, I have more hair growth. I wash my hair every 2-3 days (yes, that's still a lot to some of you hahaha) but my hair used to get super oily the 1st day before using Living Proof. Now, I can maintain it within those days & within those days although my hair gets slightly oily it still feels/smells clean. This is the first time I try a shampoo and conditioner duo from living proof. I have very fine, thin hair that tangles easily and usually volumizing products or thickening products make it more tangled instead of just giving me soft, maneageable volumized hair, but this duo actually worked on my hair. I just purchased this for the first time and I am so confused as to why they would put a screw off cap on it rather than a flip top. So you have to screw the lid off and stash it somewhere. The conditioner has a flip top cap. Why would they package it this way and especially considering it's kinda pricey? I didn't even know any shampoos still had this type of lid. I have been using this product for about a year now. I had lost a tremendous amount of hair due to covid and natural aging and needed to try something. It was phenomenal with stopping my hair fall out and within a month I could feel new hair growing. I normally have very thin hair. This shampoo has really changed my life, as cheesy as that sounds. I have only used it three / four times and my hair stopped falling completely. The bottle might be small compared to your average Pantene etc, but you don't need to use a huge amount (and I have very long hair). Really recommend to those freaking out like me over hair loss and will be repurchasing for sure.

I have just spent the last 15 minutes trying to take out the biggest knot in my hair thanks to this and it’s equally offensive conditioner buddy! In the end I’ve had to cut out a chunk of my hair which looked like half a dreadlock! I have very little hair as it is; I’m on the verge of tears. I won’t be buying this again, I suggest you save your money too. I like the product. I usually have a great experience but this time was not the case. I had an address change in the middle of an order and changed it in my account and chatted with someone and gave them the new address. The person assured me the product would be shipped to the new address. Unfortunately it was not. So I had to travel back to the old address where it was shipped and get it. Luckily it was in the same state. It is a great product though. I lost 3/4 of my hair after being VERY SICK and getting treatment for covid. After taking supplemental pills (Biotin and Keratin) and using the shampoo 9- 10 months later it is coming back and possibly thicker than before. Look at all the new growth. I ended up buying this product from the company as Sephora is always out of stock. I have colour-treated, very fine, mostly straight, thinning hair, and a normal (not oily or dry) scalp. I liked this product at first–gave me noticeable, above-average, volume, and it appeared healthy. However, over time (about three months) it has severely dehydrated my hair and stripped the colour. The dehydration is now making my hair look even thinner. Perhaps it might work for people with no tendency toward dryness or are willing to use a very hydrating conditioner with it (though in my case heavy conditioners deflate the volume). I’ve been using this shampoo for a few weeks and I really like it…I just don’t know if it’s worth the price tag yet. I received the shampoo and conditioner for free in exchange for a review. The pros are….it makes my hair feel soft, look thicker/more voluminous, doesn’t weigh my hair down, I don’t lose as much hair when I brush it, less shedding in between washes and I see a tiny bit of hair re-growth. My only con is the price. Normally I use dove shampoo and it’s like $5. If it makes my hair re-grow I will repurchase it but if not I’ll stick to dove. It’s a luxury formula so aesthetically I like the way the packaging looks but functionally it’s harder to open and close. When my hands are wet it’s hard to unscrew the top and put it back on but it looks luxurious in my shower so packaging wise I’m 50/50 on. Overall it does what it claims so if you don’t mind spending a little more on hair care then it’s worth itsarlizz
I received this product as part of a free trial, and my opinions are my own. I love the packaging. The large mouth on the top makes it nice to store upside down in my shower caddy, which helps me get all the product out. The scent is nice, and the formula feels much like most high-end shampoos. I really enjoy a luxurious lather, and this does not disappoint. I have waist-length hair, and in order to get a good lather from root to tip, I have to use three times as much shampoo as the average person. I shampoo twice to ensure my hair is clean. With the second wash I get even more lather. I have not, however, noticed any change in the density or thickness of my hair after one use. I have thinning hair at the top of my crown. I was only allotted enough time to use the product once within my normal wash schedule before posting a review, so I cannot report on the claims of thickening my hair. I received Kerastase Densifique Bain Densite Shampoo as part of a free sample program in exchange for my honest opinion. There are not a lot of shampoos I can sample because most have a harsh surfactant that I am allergic to. Fortunately for me, this one did not have it. I was impressed with the thick creamy shampoo. The packaging was not my favorite because I prefer a pump for ease of use, but it wasn’t terrible. The directions say use a quarter size dollop, and that wasn’t going to work for my long hair. But it has a nice, thick lather that I appreciated. The scent was not overwhelming and felt luxurious. I loved the way my hair felt afterwards as well. I am 5 months postpartum and am struggling with hair loss. This product definitely made my hair feel a bit more full after just one use. I only shampoo about 2-3xs a week so I believe it would have been an even bigger difference if I shampooed more frequently. I heard great things about Alterna’s Caviar line and was looking for a product that helped to protect my hair from fading so quick this summer from the sun, but also something to keep it shiny and I decided to give this product a try. It also protects your hair fro heat up to 450 degree. I do have to give it 4 stars for its price, as the bottle is small and and $34.00 if you have longer hair like I do, even though you you only use a few pumps at a time, it does seem to go quick. Last summer I discovered this amazing shampoo, and it made my hair look like silk. Then I bought three bottles later in the year, and everyday my hair looked like brittle straw. I thought it was just the cold weather. But on a hunch, I just ordered another bottle from another site (they’re sold out a lot on various sites), and my hair is instantly silky again. I noticed the bottles look different—the bad bottles were opaque and the good ones were slight translucent. Was I sold a bad batch that got made last year?? It’s so expensive, but I think I have to throw out the two other bottles I got from Sephora. I am retired and on a fixed income. I hesitated to buy both the shampoo and cream rinse because of the cost. However, I was desperate because I was tired of dealing with my COVID hair. My hair has always been fine but now that I'm 58, on hormones and thyroid meds, my hair is thin. I first tried Full shampoo almost a year ago and didn't notice a change in my hair. I was given another bottle in May and tried it again. I was amazed. My hair was more full and manageable within a week or so. I then saw the Flourish shampoo and thought the description was exactly for me. Unfortunately, it was not and I started to see thin spots on my temples. I also noticed the Flourish shampoo does not lather the way the Full shampoo does. It makes it hard to be sure you have applied it to your whole head. Normally I wouldn't care about lather but when it is a treatment shampoo it is needed to ensure you get coverage. Great scent, gentle on hair, nice natural ingredients. I use a lot of product each time I wash my hair – I need to lather-rinse-repeat 3 times before my hair is clean, which I think can be improved if I added e.g. some tea tree oil to the shampoo. It would still require a large dollop for it to lather up, though. I only wash once a week, so if I washed daily, one application would probably be enough. I want to start this review off by saying I've used this shampoo for nearly 1 year and my review is completely honest from my own experience ofcourse. I first got this shampoo when I've started to feel like my hair could use a little boost / better shampoo. At first I was really pleased with the shampoo, it felt refreshing, smelled like citruses which I love and made my hair dryer which was a plus for me since my hair is oily often. BUT, it didn't take long for me to notice negative results. My hair progressly got thinner and thinner, started from seeing some hair on my palms when I moved my hand through, to the point I've seen bunch of hair on my towel after I showered. After realizing my hair is falling apart, I decided to change back to normal shampoo to see if there is any difference and there was, my hair got back to normal after a month or two. It took me too long to realize I should stop using this shampoo since I didn't imagine that this shampoo is the cause for my excessive hair loss. I sometimes will just air-dry or blow dry. But mainly air dry. Styled or not my hair feels volumized and feels full. After a couple weeks I noticed my mommy baby hairs to come in. I wanted to love this product as I saw many great reviews. I have thinning hair (please note: I do not have thin hair… yet! Lol) and wanted something to bring back some density. I’ve been looking and came across this line, I used with the plumping rinse. The smell is amazing but after my first wash I noticed more hair shedding after my shower and my hair and scalp were dryer than usual. I gave it another go and it was horrible! I never saw so much hair come out while brushing it and throughout the day!! Once dry it definitely was thicker, but my hair was so wirey, both my hair and scalp were ridiculously dry and I would randomly see hair throughout the day which is not the norm for me. This is my own experience so I don’t want to knock the company but I also wanted to get the warning out there as maybe I was allergic to one of the ingredients. I’m over 70 and have always had fine hair, but as I have aged it has got worse. My daughter suggested I try plumping wash, what a difference. It’s brilliant, somehow my hair feels thicker and easier to manage. I know it’s it seems a lot to pay out for shampoo, but you don’t need much each time you wash your hair and I love the scent. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. This is a lovely shampoo. It has a light, pleasant smell that isn't overpowering. Lathers nicely, and I felt it did add some volume to my hair. Unfortunately, after a few months of use, I felt like it was drying out my hair. Possibly another shampoo formula would be better for my hair type (thick, sometimes dry, dry scalp at times, heat styled periodically). I do enjoy other Davines products as well. If I could give this product negative stars I would. I really don’t like being this person but if I can save at least one person from my experience than this is worth the review. I have always had thin hair so I figured I would try this shampoo considering these are suppose to be the main 2 ingredients for hair growth, however, I had the complete opposite affect. I have never lost so much hair in my life and it is absolutely heart breaking for me right now. A couple of weeks before Christmas I picked up this shampoo and conditioner to try to give my hair a little more life and to get it healthier. I was thinking my regular pantene wasn't doing the trick. 1 week after using this shampoo my hair started falling out in HUGE clumps in the shower. I thought something was seriously wrong with my health or my stress had gotten worse since we just lost a beloved family member. I just thought it was all me. So I continued to use the shampoo hoping it would eventually help. It didn't. Everytime I washed my hair it would continue to fall out in clumps. I stopped blow drying my hair and would only gently comb the ends of my hair with a wide tooth comb. Even gently combing my dry hair my hair was falling out. My sister (who didn't even know I was losing my hair) sent me a link about a lawsuit with Tressame. There is a major lawsuit because some of their products have caused hair loss and painful scalp burns. I looked it up and sure enough the shampoo I have been using had the ingredient they talked about in the law suit. I looked further into the shampoo and there are reviews all over the place with women complaining about my exact same condition. It's craziness. This is the strangest shampoo (and the conditioner) to me. I am used to shampoos that feel frothy and rich, and conditioners that feel silky when I rinse them out. I do a lot of detangling with my fingers in the shower because my hair is so long. It's well past my waist, almost to the top of my legs. Finger detangling in the shower helps prevent a lot of breakage. This shampoo (and the conditioner) scared me at first. I could hardly get my fingers through my hair. It knotted up when I shampooed, and took forever to get the knots out. The shampoo seemed to completely strip my hair, or so it felt. I'm talking SQUEEEEEAKY clean. I assumed that when it dried, it would look like a broom. But it didn't. I also used the conditioner, which didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, either. I didn't use any detangler or hair oil out of the shower because I wanted to see exactly how this stuff worked for me. I carefully detangled with a flat detangling brush and let it air dry. And it looked amazing! I was shocked. My hair was so shiny and soft. It had lots of movement, and my waves had definition. I've used about half of both bottles so far, and I'm not seeing any change. My hair doesn't seem to be drying out or breaking, and I haven't noticed any unusual hair fall. I'm still on the fence, though, because it's so difficult to detangle. The "after" is great for me. This became my everyday shampoo for when I wanted a good cleanse, soft strands and volume. I have an oily scalp problem. While it doesn't help delay the oil production, this is able to provide a thorough cleanse, leaving my hair (and the room) with this refreshing orange blossom scent. My most favourite thing about it is that it adds a little Zhoosh to my locks. My hair looks bouncy, with volume and, feels lightweight. It's silicone & sulphate free, and doesn't lather much. The one issue I do have with this is that since the formulation is runny and light, I have to use a considerable amount each time. Before meeting this amazing shampoo, I had been using a drugstore shampoo + conditioner for 6 years which were claiming to be sulfate-free. They changed their ingredients, I ended up with little dandruff, itchiness and hair loss. I made my research and found Briogeo! I read a lot about Briogeo's founder Nancy and hooked by her mission. I decided to give these products a try. I have been using the Blossom and Bloom Ginseng+ Biotin Shampoo + Conditioner + Don't Despair, Repair Hair Oil for about 2 months. My scalp gets oily the second day after washing. So, I wash my hair every other day, or sometimes even skip one more day even if it looks oily. This combination of products gives my thin, wavy(type: 2A) baby soft hair more volume and more shine. My hair now grows stronger and does not feel brittle while brushing. My sensitive scalp does not itch anymore. I must admit that the conditioner makes my hair slightly oily the next day, but I prefer the shiny head to a dry & itchy scalp 🙂
I had high hopes for this shampoo but it’s terrible for oily hair. My hair gets quite oily and dirty and I normally wash it every 3 days, I had never had issues with my other shampoos to cleanse my hair in the past but I did with this shampoo. There was nearly no bubbles even when I rub it in my palms before applying to my hair, and so it’s extremely difficult to clean my hair. The first time I had to use 4 pumps to even get my hair clean! Which is a lot considering how small the bottle is honestly. I haven’t had any noticeable difference either in terms of hair volume or texture, so I’ll strongly suggest that you don’t buy it, and especially DONT if you have oily hair because this shampoo doesn’t even clean it well. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. That being said, transitioning into warmer, humid spring/summer weather, I’m really pleased to have found this product. It’ll be great for clean summer hair.jessicaeve1023
For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. I have zero buildup with this and have perfectly clean,soft hair.Hair enthusiast
