Perhaps I applied it wrong or it disagreed with the shade of my hair but it made my hair appear greasy. Dont get me wrong it made my hair very mouldable and gave it lots of staying power but Id have to find something to apply on top to reduce the sheen. As a man, I've used this product for years along with a hair and scalp conditioner. Together, the two products give my hair a nice sheen and manageable wave patterns. I've experimented by withholding the Sportin Waves for a day and the results weren't as expected. Much better when it's applied to the hair following the addition of a hair and scalp conditioner. There was barely any noticeable smell to the Sportin Waves when sniffed from the container and none when applied to the hair. Both products washed out easily while showering. I do recommend this product.

You only need a little to start off with and only need to use probably twice a week(the beginning and probably the end.) My wife bought this for me, instead of my usual hair product. I was wary of using it when it sat, rock hard, in the bottom of the container. I massaged a small amount from the tin and began to 'soften' in my hands. After some time it yielded enough to apply to my hair. The product does not apply evenly, it looked awful, greasy and unclean. Very unhappy with appearance I tried, unsuccessfully, to wash the stuff from my very sticky hands. Such was the resistance this stuff has to soap and water I had, in the end, to use a combination of washing up liquid, a scrubbing brush and a pan shiner to get my hands free of this awful, awful compound. I have now just washed my hair removal times in the shower, and I can confirm it is just as resistant on one's Barnet! On the plus side, I'm guessing it will quite effective at sealing the electrics on my motorcycle and preventing the ingress of water. DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS…Sean E

Works really well on short naturally curly or wavy hair when dry. Not greasy or oily. Washes out really clean without leaving residue. Compared several products in the store for about 1/2 before deciding to get this item. Will probably be buying this item regularly. Also, I do not use this product every day as I have found that using it maybe a few times a week ( 3 times at most or every other day) and just moving the natural texture of my hair around provides adequate grooming keeping my hair looking natural and not stiff or saturated with hair grease and gook. I have short, slightly soft, and loose curly wavy hair that is probably less coarse and kinky where the texture of this cream is stiff enough to provide definition but not so stiff that it flakes up or feels greasy to the touch. I did not expect much from this product having purchased it to fix up my hair after being unable to afford a haircut for a pending job interview.
