I really like this, especially for my shorter hair. I have a lot of hair and thick hair. This didn't take me too long to do my whole head. The range in temp settings was awesome! The cons are that it is big and bulks and it doesn't lock, it is more like a flat iron in the sense that you need to hold it shut. This gets annoying quickly. I have short hair and I can't imagine anyone with longer hair being happy using this. I've only tried the 4th setting and I really like it. I bought it because it was on sale. I have pretty thick hair and it's cute but it's very time consuming on my medium length hair. it takes about an hour or longer. my tips are to NOT use it on freshly washed hair it works better on 2nd or 3rd day hair. Split your hair in 2 or 3 parts before you use it, it makes it much more even and it's easier. For me I never found it to be hard to use but it is a little heavy and can get tiring on your arms. I've never used it without heat protection so I don't know if it could damage your hair but I usually use it on the second to highest setting for tighter waves. I tried this curler with no product, then product after curling trying to downplay the poof and size. It made my hair very fizzy and a 80's look. It looked more like I krimpted my hair than did beach waves. When I put products in it, it look oily, frizzy and lots of little fly aways. When I slept on it , it actually looked like beach waves the next day and I would just put dry shampoo in. I have naturally light wavy, very thick and colored hair and live in a overall low humidity area. I love this thing – child of the 80s and this to me is borderline crimping but I love the look it gives your hair. It gets hot so use a heat protectant. I often use this to style next day hair. I am a real klutz when it comes to using styling tools in my hair, particularly the Conical Wands and curling irons. My hair is long, somewhat fine, with just a touch of waviness underneath and in the back when left to dry naturally. I can easily use the Chi Flat Iron to straighten it all over, but wanted something to enhance the waviness on occasion and add some body, so I tried this. And it's so easy even I can use it – all without any burns! LOL There are Youtube videos – of course – but basically just section the hair and clamp down on the sections with this, working downward on each section. The heating temps are easy to read and set. As with any heating product, I don't use it too often out of concern for damaging my hair, but haven't noticed any negative effects on overall hair condition.GYMMOUSE

This did exactly what it describes it will do. Reminds me of getting a perm with large rollers. I've gotten the same results as pictures I've seen in reviews (those with long hair). Takes a little bit of effort to figure out where to place on your hair in relation to the previous placement so the waves don't looked spaced, but it's not difficult to get the hang of it. Temp setting allows for finer areas of hair to receive less heat. I have a lot of hair and it reaches to the middle of my back. I've slept on this and the next morning, the wave is still set. The locking mechanism for storage was a good idea. The only recommendations I make are to suggest having a silicone mat to place on when heated, and to get yourself a comb that is specifically for curly hair; you don't want to put a brush through this, as it does make it frizzy, but that's due to how brushes work with curls. Would love to see a similar product that does larger waves.amy

I was skeptical of this at first. I have very thick very heavy curl coarse hair that goes to my elbows. It holds curls/straightening/etc well, but it's a mess. When I first saw this I thought why do this if I could braid my hair overnight and take it out in the morning? Or I had flash backs to crimping my hair in the early 2000s. Boy was I wrong!! I have really thick hair and usually with straighteners/curling irons have to use hairspray or some other product get get my hair to stay; however, with this waver, I didn't have to use anything! I was very excited to try this because I had been meaning to try a waver for a while. However this wasn't it. I waved my hair at 300 degrees and it didn't wave my hair much and if it did it went flat in seconds. See my hair is naturally wavy so all this did was straight out my waves. Now that's not to say that this DIDNT work because it does, if you put it at the highest temperature: 415. When I put it at the highest there was literal smoke COMIMG out of my hair. I shouldn't have to put it at a heat damaging level for this product to work. Hence I don't think I'd ever use it again or if I do i will use it with moderation. I got the Hot Tools Professional Nano Ceramic Deep Waver for myself and daughter. I love how fast the tool heats up and how easy it is to use. This waver works and leaves waves in my hair for up to 3 days. I do wish that their was some kinda timer that you could set to maybe 5sec, 10sec intervals. It might make it easier to know how long you've had the tool clamped on a particular section of your hair. I think the handle design also gets a little uncomfortable to hold and keep holding closed on your hair after so many repetitions of clamping, waiting, and moving down the hair. I was super excited to receive this ceramic deep waver tool in the mail! I have definitely had my fair share of experiences with ceramic hair tools in the past and was ready to experience a new deep waver. The first thing I noticed about this waver when I received it in the mail was it's size. It is quite large and has the ability to wave large chunks at a time, which is super helpful when you have a limited amount of time to do your hair. This waver heated up quite quickly, and offers a few different heat settings which you choose according to your hair type. It only took a few seconds per chunk of hair to achieve the wave that I desired, and it took less than 10 minutes to wave all of my hair. The only thing I would change about this product is the ridges on the handle. One side of the waver has a nice dip which feels comfortable, but the other side of the tool has ridges in the dip which feels too abrasive against my fingers during use. This is my favorite hair tool!! I have 2a-2b wavy hair that doesn't dry uniformly. This tool gives me the look that I WOULD get if my hair dried evenly and perfectly all over my head. I LOVE the look AND the style lasts for 4+ days!! WHAT! Curls don't last in my hair for 2 hours so the fact that this style lasts in my hair is just amazing. This is essentially a large crimper. Don't buy it for the curling wand part. You won't use it for that. At least I don't-it's too short to do anything with my long hair. I was excited to try this hair waver. My first impression was that it was pretty and felt well made. The cord is long enough to use on both sides of my head and I like that the cord can twist/spin, which is helpful if you want to twirl your hair around it. There is a nice lock on the end of the clamp to keep it closed for storage. There is an on/off switch with a light and a dial for the temperature. It goes from low-med-high. Even on medium, it gets very hot. The thinner your hair, the less heat you need. On the box, it says it can do 2 styles, beachy waves and tousled curls. The beachy waves is easy to do; you just clamp down near the roots on a section of your hair, for about 5-8 seconds, and release and move down towards the ends. I could not accomplish the tousled curls. I have no idea how it can be accomplished in a nice way. It says clamp down and then twist your hair around it, but you get a crease in your hair that doesn't match the rest of the length of your hair. Weird! I didn't really care for the finished product. My hair looked dry and a little frizzy. It also made my white hair stand out like crazy! Apparently, white hair is stubborn to heat styling. I put some oil in it to see if it would help but it didn't do much. It did look good when I wet it though, so if you are going to the beach, it would be cute. Because of the clamping, it made my hair at where I part it look flat; I would definitely do a comb-over/flip your hair to make it look nicer. I’ve had it for a week and am already completely and totally obsessed. It heats up pretty fast and the waves stay in my hair super well. I wish that the waver opened up a bit wider but it is still pretty easy to use. I have never been one to use a heat tool but this has definitely been a game changer. It takes about 10-15 minutes to do my head of hair that reaches to the middle of my back. It was around $25 or so at Target and is completely worth it. It makes my hair look when I’ve had a perm for about a month or two. Much cheaper and less damaging than a perm though! So that’s a complete plus. I love my Bedhead waver! It make the perfect waves on short hair or long hair. I recently got my hair cut and it is so cute on short hair and way quicker than a curling iron! It gives u the perfect tousled beach hair look! I air dry or blow dry, then put heat protector on, the a couple clamps here and there and done! So fast and easy. I run a bit of paste or Moroccanoil through the ends to break it up a bit and that’s it. There are no temp settings so you just turn it on and wait for it to heat up. I received this waver complimentary from Amika. This is such an amazing tool to create beautiful beach waves. The waver with the barrels is easy to brush through my long and dry hair. I first apply a heat protecting spray and then it is easy to just choose one of the heat settings that I want and go through my hair in sections by clamping my hair and holding it for just a couple of seconds. Each time I am so surprised when I move the barrels down to the end of my hair that I have instantly beautiful shiny beach waves. No matter how I adjusted it, the waves looked like I used a crimper. Also, each side leaves a weird kink so you have to hold it a certain way to avoid that. It creates volume, but made my hair look frizzier. I DO have color-treated hair so it’s frizzier than usual. Maybe it works better for longer hair, but not on my color-treated, medium-length hair. I really like the way it made my straight hair wavy but it really does make my hair stink. I read another review say the same thing but thought it was just her and now I know it’s not because my hair smells so bad after using this waver. I love my Wave Artist! I think I have the original one from when it first came out, like 8-9 years ago? I am pretty certain mine does not have a temperature adjustment on it, which is why I’m docking a star. My hair is incredibly baby fine and thin, won’t hold a curl for anything. With this, I get nice beach waves that last all day long. I use a heat protectant, followed by light comb through and hair spray. The waves just get better as the day goes on. The only complaint I have is that it makes my hair have a weird almost burnt hair smell all day until I wash it out. My sense of smell is very sensitive, so maybe it just bothers me more than the average person. I never notice any damage to hair though, it just makes it stinky. I think I’ll upgrade to one with temp control and see if it helps.jade.f
I have waist length, virgin, platinum blonde hair and this is going to be my go to styler from now on. Forget the rollers, styling wands and flat iron. This is so much better! 10 to 15 minutes to do all my hair. Looks like curls and stays better. Even the humidity of the Pacific northwest doesn't flatten my hair now. Oh my god! I didn’t realize how much I love crimping my hair until one of my stylists did it after coloring my hair and since my hair is so long, it looked like mermaid hair! I then went and bought this because the price was so good!!! I couldn’t believe the price of this, and after using it quite a few times, I can see why it was priced so low…. First of all, the temperature knob is just a circle with no notch to see where it’s at, and it goes around twice. So from the absolute lowest temp to the “absolute highest heat level that’s so hot u shouldn’t touch your hair or it might burn it off” level is really the only two levels you know it’s for sure at! To get in the middle you kind of have to get a feel how long the entire 2 circles are and then make a guess where the middle is. Then you have to maybe try crimping a couple strands and seeing how well it does and If you feel you have to hold it forever, then maybe slightly twitch the knob up just a tap to make it slightly hotter. Also, there really isn’t a good grab point to hold the other end of the crimper as you are going down the strand… there is a little black rubber part at the end of the crimper but it really is not as big as you would think that holding part would be, and if you have it near the end of the temperature circle, there’s no way you can really hold it haha and also, after you start crimping your hair, it takes quite a few tries until you get used to where you should put the crimper on the strand of hair as you go down it. Too close to where you crimped the first notch, and it starts to make the crimps look really weird. Do it too far from where your last crimp ended and it looks every weirder cuz now you have a huge space in between your crimps! So after using this a lot, I can totally see why it’s priced so low, but I still love using it! Because my hair is so long, sometimes it’s super hard to curl my strands because before I’m even done curling the strand I run out of room on the curling iron cuz my hair is so long. So this doesn’t give me that problem cuz you have to crimp, then scoot down, crimp, then scoot down, etc…So like I said it takes a couple uses to get really used to. Plus as you start to crimp the strands that are more in the back of your head, it starts to make your arm tired haha but luckily it’s not TOOO HEAVY of a product to where you can probably get threw most of your hair before this starts to happen. Also, the temperature knob is pretty easy to hit on accident with your hand and then all of a sudden, your hair is smoking and SIZZLING so loud with so much smoke even with just a second of the crimper on your strand, that you’ll know you hit the knob. However, there have definitely been times when I wanted to style my hair but didn’t want to use the curling iron, and then realized the crimper was exactly what I wanted to use instead of the curling iron and it actually worked a lil quicker at styling my strands! 🙂 for the price of under $22-$25 i believe, this product is totally worth it!

I am a licensed hairstylist, of 21 years. I LOVE this triple barrel iron! It is BIG, so I selected 3 stars for "easy to use" because I think it is would be a little challenging for someone who isn't a professional, I even found there to be a learning curve! There are great tutorials and videos available to help guide you. Smaller sections (not too thick) and holding the iron in place long enough, (based on the integrity and condition of your hair) are two important factors to achieve a beach wave look. I like to spray my hair with (a light mist of) dry shampoo all over, after I'm done using my waver, then "rake" it out with a friction free wide tooth comb. I have naturally curly/wavy hair up top and is now finally growing out but I had keratin treatments so my hair is half curly and half straight. I got this to be able to have uniform waves. Always have lots of compliments when I wear my hair like this. Easy to use, clear instructions. I have thick hair and I wouldn't hold longer than 5 sec (per recommendations). It does it job. Heats pretty quickly. You may have to do a few batches before getting the hang of how you want to section your hair. Overall I like the effect that the larger barrels have on my hair and so far this product has operated well, but the place where you put your thumb to open the waver gets so hot that after about 10 minutes of use it’s difficult to even touch. Also, the on/off button is put in a place where I constantly accidentally touch it and turn it off. Another downfall of this product is that the material that is wrapped around the stand melts (learned the hard way)—the weight of the waver makes it so that it shifts easily and it did just that when I wasn’t paying attention and a part of the stand melted. I love wands and have always struggled to master a curling iron until buying this. As a total rookie, it was hard not to leave crimps with this at first. But I think I got the hang of it after 10 minutes of practice and one YouTube tutorial haha. With short hair especially, this 1” size has been perfect for achieving a soft curl. I can’t speak to how the curls hold because my hair holds a curl almost too well … but if that’s an issue, I don’t see why some hair spray wouldn’t solve for that. I actually wanted a looser curl, so the slip of this wand was exactly what I was looking for. And since the barrel fits right into my bag of other interchangeable heads, it takes up virtually no extra space, great for travel, and costs about half the price of buying a full iron from a comparable brand. I've purchased 2 of these over the last 3-4 years because the spring pins have broken. I understand this happens frequently with any brand. However, T3 will not replace the spring pin, they want to replace the entire product if it's in warranty. If its not in warranty…you will have to buy a whole new attachment. I actually used to own this when i was like 10 and obsessed with vanessa hudgens and her hair. I used it for years until i left it at an ex's house in my teens. Fast forward to a couple years ago i repurchased it not expecting much but i was so surprised! I must have forgotten how amazing this works and how much i loved it! I have extremely long hair and this gets the job done so fast! It usually takes me an hour to style my hair but this takes me about 15-20 minutes (which is amazing for hair so long that goes passed my butt) It has a turning knob for the heat settings which is nice because i usually accidentally press buttons on other tools. This gives the perfect wave and the style lasts days so i can just apply dry shampoo at my roots, serum to ends and maybe re-crimp a few pieces if needed but overall looks sooo good. I like it better a few days later because it looks a lil messy and more natural. the waves look great if you're hair is down, in a claw clip, half up half down, even in a messy bun! I bought this a while back but started using it a few weeks ago because I didn't like the look on my long hair, but I love it on my short hair. My hair is right at my collarbone, but I wouldn't recommend for long hair because it doesn't look like beach waves; they're very well-defined. I have a photo of the results below (it's not a very good one though) so you can see what the waves look like. The downside is that the plastic is very flimsy. I have a bad habit of squeezing the handle a bit too hard (so it grips my thin hair for better results) and it finally snapped today. The whole back panel is just hanging off now haha. Luckily it's one of the cheaper hair tools to replace, and it was my own fault for squeezing that hard. TL;DR: the waves are well-defined (see pic), and don't squeeze too hard if you want this to last at for longer than a few weeks (and that's if you're lucky).WowieZowie
This is amazing!!! Let me also disclose I have very thick hair and a lot of it and I’m not super savvy with a lot of tools and this was a little tricky to use! It’s really big to fit in your hand and then you have to press the bar down while moving the hair through (trying to give you a visual here 🤪) and this was just a lot. I purchased this during the Holidays and I absolutely love the waves I get using this wave iron. Not only can you adjust the heat setting but you can also adjust the size of your waves! Just a turn of the knob and you can tighten or loosen your waves. This has really cut time off of my hair styling routine. I have very fine hair but this gets hot enough to style mine. I do recommend using a heat protection product and handling the iron carefully due to the high temps. The cost of this iron is around $40 and I find it to be well worth the price. I was curious to try this because my hair does not curl very easily but this Barrel gave me just the perfect amount of waves and it stayed in place for at least 3 days. It is so much easier to use than a curling iron or a straightener. Even though it does not give you the same exact curls as a curling iron would, it comes very close and the outcome has been beautiful every time for me. I have longer hair so I'm not quite sure how well it might do with with shorter hair. This thing is AMAZING!!!! I’d never tried a waver before this so I did my research on Amazon and settled on this guy. It gets up to 400 degrees, which my super thick, already awkwardly wavy hair needs in order to hold a curl) and you can adjust it to whatever temp you want. The neat thing is you can also adjust the size of the waves it’ll make!!!! Personally, I think my hair looks best with the deepest possible waves. I clipped up half of my hair, did the bottom first and then finished the top part. It was insanely simple and the result was beautiful waves that LASTED all day. My hair, while wavy on its own, never holds any curl I make with hot tools, so this was like super impressive to me! The only complaint I have is that my hand gets really sore from holding the waver because of how heavy it is. The other thing I love is that I can do my whole head FAST. Definitely has a learning curve. I also don't agree with Conair's recommendation for heat temp vs hair type. I have thin fine hair and I definitely needed to bump it up to around 15-20 range out of 30 to get the effect I wanted. Lower than that it just didn't do very much. It wasn't hot enough! This waver DOES work. If you use less hair you can get more or a tight crimp and more hair is more of a nice wave. However man does it make my hair stink! I have tried lowering the heat setting as I thought I burnt it at 1st, I’ve tried fragranced heat protectors and masking it with dry shampoos, texture spray, hair spray etc, nothing can cover the smell!! It’s so bad! And stays after you wash it! 🙁 When the water hits your hair you’re like Omg is that me???? As one reviewer said you can smell it in the iron before your even use it! For $90? Why Ion why? Why you make me stink lol! Otherwise I get so mad y compliments on how my hair looks!
I have incredibly thick hair and have struggled to find a triple barrel curling iron that will work. With this iron, i have found success! I use smaller, hairsprayed sections of my hair and hold it for 10 seconds. My wave lasts for 3-4 days until it starts to get frizzy. This item is worth every dollar if you’ve thick hair and are looking for a long lasting wave.
