I love these lights. I have 4 of them positioned around my sewing table to add brightness wherever I need to see my needlework, my pattern, my supplies without having to move anything. I've had several of them for years without any issues.LEE

I love this product. Only one slight complaint. The shade does not really snap into position well. Its not the best of fit. However apart from that it is a great product that can go up and down to any angle. Just note it will not turn left or right. You have to lift it up by the base to turn it. So because of this and the shad I gave it a 4 out of 5.norman

The lamp came with a broken "on, off" switch. I could not turn the lamp on. This company evidently has no quality control. They should have inspected the lamp for any defects before shipping the lamp…..Also, you can not adjust the lower half of the lamp, only the top part…..Richard

I really like this lamp. The heavy base instead of the clip-on is a very handy feature. I also like that it is very easy to put together. The ONLY thing I wish it had was a dimmer switch, but the positives far out weight the negatives. Extension arm does so to wherever you need it to go.Susan

This came quickly and was well packaged. It is a full length size.. not a small one. It stays where you angle it. Only thing is to be cautions about is the base it sits in. It is made of plastic except for the tightening screw. It can be easily broken if care is not taken to hold onto the base while adjusting the angle of the lamp. I purchased 2 of the floor lamps and they are great. They take up very little floor space and provide exceptional light. The lamp has 3 different modes (or "color temperatures") and 5 different brightness levels within each mode so you can easily adjust the light settings to suit your purpose and needs. The light controls (on/off, mode and brightness level) buttons are positioned in the middle of the lamp pole so you can adjust the settings while sitting. The lamps were easy to assemble and the instructions were clear. Delivery was very fast – I received the lamps in a matter of a few days after ordering them online.RDLL

Very nice light. This is my second light. First light purchased in the 1990's and lasted until the concrete in the stand crumbled away. Electrically ran perfectly for some 25 years until the stand base gave out. Bulb replacements where always available and I assume that will be the case with the new lamp. The old light had an optional shelf to attach for glasses, pens etc. Any plan to offer the same for the new floor Lamp.? New features of lighting type and variable intensity are a welcome addition. I have had a couple of Veriux floor lamps in the past but this one improves on the others. It seems to be well constructed and without potential failure points. The neck bend is strong and works well to direct the light. The base is heavy so there is not much risk of its tipping over. As expected with a Verilux product, the light itself is bright, soft and flicker-free. A bulb cover diffuses the light so it is very even and easy on the eyes. But what I like most is the options of changing the color of the light and being able to dim it. In the day, I either use the white, daylight tone or the softer mid-range color, but at night i switch to a warmer setting which seems to really have improved my sleep. I can also adjust the brightness of the light to match what I am doing. The light "switch" box is conveniently attached just below the neck and works with the slightest touch of my finger. My kitty turned on the light once just by sniffing it – thank goodness she did not think that was a good trick. In the summer, I will appreciate that the light does not generate any heat. I have read that there are other similar floor lamps, but without the ability to change tone, that have an orange light that is always on so you can see it in the dark. I would find that annoying, and disruptive to my sleep, so I am glad this one does not have it. As far as design, it is best described as utilitarian, so not a decorative feature in the room, but it fits in rather inconspicuously and does a great job. We have OttLite throughout our home and purchased this model as a desk lamp for our sons homework station. Three brightness settings are easily adjusted by a simple touch on the base. Nice size for a desk or side table. Slightly adjustable neck. My son likes the convenience of the storage on the base for pencils, headphones, etc. I am visually impaired and even though I purchased OttLite prior to losing my vision, my Braille instructors recommended the brand as well. You don’t realize how important good lighting is, and OttLite is the best!Gsmomof3

This little light has a lot going for it. For an area light it is relatively small. It puts out a tremendous amount of light. I do a lot of night work repairing trailer house frames on the side of the road at night or in the evening. I needed a light that has the maximum amount of lumens with max amount of runtime. Crawling out from under a house 10 times to deal with light or battery issues is not an option. This light fulfills my every need under the house…it is strong enough I don't have to readjust for every situation and with 12 ah 60v battery I don't have to deal with it..ever. Set it when I get there and load it up when I leave, it's not even hot. My only issue is the stand that is ment to go in a tripod does not set on the ground well with the huge 12 ah batteries I use..but it still works better than all the other lights I have tried so far.Jody

This is a great little light. It’s portable, versatile, and offers a good amount of light for brightening a task area or adding supplemental lighting to a particular spot. The ratcheting handle is great for positioning (acts like a kickstand) and for holding onto while moving it around. Also love the tripod mounts on the handle. I’ve got a laser tripod with a 1/4-20 mounting screw on it, and this fits right on there for an even more stable option. I’ve actually been using this light with my little 12 volt 2 ah batteries, and runtime has been adequate for most tasks: I get about 2 hours on the highest setting. While this light isn’t quite as bright as some of my other lighting options, I find myself reaching for this one because of its size and versatility. And it’s got plenty of light for most situations. Very well designed table / desk lamp. Has a 180 degree swing arm. Three way lighting instead of a dimmable option. Each lighting mode has it's own white k variation on the spectrum (arm white, cool white). The third output of light is actually a combination of the first two (warm white plus cool white together). The on off button is touch style. There is no switch or push button. The charging cable is mcro usb. It does not have a wall wart transformer. It plugs into a standard 5volt 500mah or greater wall wart. The light worked in warm mode for 8 hour n a single charge. It works infinite if plugged into usb charging cable without damaging the built in lithium ion power pack. It does not have a removable battery. Wish list: A. Removable replacement battery. B. This lamp is compact, has an integrated Li ion battery and a tiny footprint, and can be moved just about anywhere in the office to provide bright, even illumination. There are three different power/color settings, so you may choose between daylight, bright-white, and soft lighting. I haven't "run down the battery completely" yet, but I can at least assure you that this lamp stays on and stays bright for one hour or more without needing a recharge. I did notice, however, that after it was left on for this length of time it did need at least four hours of recharging time. Be ready for that! Also be aware that the power/lamp selector button is "sensitive," and that it is easy to turn this lamp on (or change its light characteristics, or turn it off) without intending to do so. This is a very slick desk lamp, with cool design that is light and bright. It has three lighting modes: relaxing, reading, and task (Relaxing is your regular yellowish room lighting; Reading is whitish lighting, and task is in between, it seems). Modes easily switch with the same on button. Each mode is quite illuminating without being overtly dazzling. The lamp adjusts well to any angle. so it will be a fit for any surface you can place the base on. It is batter powered which means you can carry it around cordless. The manual states the fully charged battery lasts for up to three hours in relaxed mode. It went quite past that mark for us, but could be due to it being brand new. It also comes with a USB cord to connect to any power source for charging (any source seems to work, wall outlet, laptop, other devices). Because it folds flat, the lamp is very portable and takes little to no space in a backpack, for instance. Really cool device overall. Very happy got it.Cardar

I debated several months as to whether or not to purchase this lamp. It is a significant investment. (That means expensive!). However, I have several other Dyson products and decided to go ahead with the purchase. I am more pleased with the product that I had hoped and glad I purchased it. It fits my area perfectly. I appreciate and use the wide variety of options in terms of movement up, down, back and forth, and around of the lamp. I like the lamp light and its adjustments. I wasn't all the interested in the bluetooth connection and adjustment. I thought it was more of a gimmick. Initially I had trouble connecting the lamp. I already had the Dyson app and had another appliance connected. I had to uninstall the app, reinstall it, and then connect the lamp without the other appliance connected. That was fine as I didn't use the Bluetooth features on that appliance anyway. I was surprised by how effective the auto features are. I am glad I took the time to connect it via Bluetooth.MelN

However, I found myself waving my hand periodically to keep it on when reading or browsing under the light. I pretty much like everything Govee has put out, I have so many of their lights I feel like a hoarder sometimes. With their price points being amazing for what you get and their amazing app which gives robust control of pretty much everything they have made.So maybe I was a little too excited for this Lyra Lamp, or maybe I just got an item that wasn't meant to be shipped out. I dunno but when the box was dropped off at my door and I was able to get the outer box open it was immediately apparent something wasn't right. The box condition itself was great but the seal, all though sealed looked like it had been opened and just reclosed. My excitement however took hold again and this became an after thought as I started to carefully remove the pieces. I pull out the base and then 3 metal pole pieces and finally a remote and some attachment hardware. I grouped it all up nicely in a big open space to begin installation. Thats when it hits me. I didn't see the normal thank you card or the do you like it share it card or even directions! No documentation at all. I glance over the pieces and think I could figure this out probably but what if I did make a mistake? I just spent over 100 dollars on a lamp. I should make sure this is done right.So I reach out to their trouble ticket system which always has nice people behind it but slow responses. I get one response every 24 hours or so. So having a troubleshooting session is tough and slow. Anyways I mention I need a manual and if they have one online to which 18 hours later I get a friendly reply and a link emailed to me with the quick start guide and the manual. Perfect I think, Im back in business.I get back to putting it together and 1st step…. hmm this piece isnt matching what the manual says I should have, someone created the screw hole in the wrong side of the pole. So I already cant put the stem/pole section together which is essentially all you can do. The middle and bottom pole sections went together fine, just can't add the top unless I did some mcguyvering or duct taped it but again for over 100 dollars you shouldnt be dealing with this guy of poor quality control.I went back to my trouble ticket and updated it with a video detailing the errant screw hole but continue on just to get the parts I could get to see if I could maybe get a glimpse of what I'll be missing out on. So I go to place the bottom of the pole into the base. This is where you make the light connection as well. It has a harness of wires poking up through which you connect to the light strip that snaps into the pole sections guides but what? It not going down into the base to become flush and align the screw holes that attach the pole to the base, the most important supporting section. The wire harness which in their guide shows them in the middle of the pole but mine were jammed up against the sideright where the guides have the pole sitting. I piece of foam was shoved down there pinning them against the outer edge and in the way of the connection. I think thats weird that shouldnt be there. I grabbed some tweezers and reached down in and was able to pull it out which also freed up the wires to where I could move them and allow the pole to connect to the base. Sigh but alas again it stopped, about 1/4" or so before it would align the screw holes. I curse and remove it and peer inside. Its too dark can't see so I grab a flashlight and down even further looks like another piece of foam, one out of reach of the tweezers. Ug what is going on I think to myself. I go and update my trouble ticket again. That as 24 hours ago and I haven't received a response from either of my updates. Was hoping to work through this with them but will probably just end up having to return it. Not worth the 100 I paid on sale and not even close to the 150 they are asking regularly, in my opinion anyways.I will say I went ahead and plugged in the light and held them up to mimick what it would be like and the lights are amazing, top quality there. The animations and transitions are smoother than ever. Colors vibrant and bright – its what saves this review and their past customer service assists as they have been top notch. Not sure what happened this time..Update 6/25 customer service reached out to me and after going through a couple troubleshoot techniques has offered to replace the item. One catch is its not in stock so won't ship until it is and they were unable to provide a solid date just assured it would. I added a star because I really think this lamp is probably pretty cool and the fact they reached out to me instead of me having to use my time going to them. Let's see if they follow through and that it doesn't take too long to where I'm up against the return windowAaron S.

I decided to purchase this floor lamp for my living room for its minimalist and futuristic appearance and after watching many positive reviews of the floor lamp on YouTube. I had considered purchasing a similar floor lamp from Philips but was put off by the price of the Philips floor lamp and the lack of customization compared to the Govee floor lamp. The Govee app works like a dream, wirelessly, with my floor lamp and the remote control is handy for when I need to turn the lamp on and off at night such as getting up or going to bed. which is why I am considering purchasing a second Govee floor lamp for the bedroom. First off, I enjoy the few Govee products that I have but they are all being used outdoors. I have a small space so getting myself something for inside the house that didn't take up to much of the room felt like a necessity. What I really like about this lamp is that not only is it good for lighting up a room, but the fact that you can use your smart speakers to change the color and brightness or even the effect is fantastic. The lamp's LEDs are RGBIC (individually controlled) and can be customized with the Govee app. I have mine synchronized with the outdoor lighting and it makes for a cool effect at night. Another thing I liked was the ease of assembly and the overall weight of the lamp. I had two other brand stick lamps before that I regretted – the first arrived broken and would not stand, the second stopped working after two months and I could not return it. By comparison, the Govee Lyra is better quality in every way. I have already recommended the lamp to others, and I recommend it for you too!Miles L.

Excellent heavy duty reading light – seriously well made – very easy to assemble – literally 3 or 4 minutes . Fits well with modern decor – heavy base makes it very stable- the bendable top section makes it easy to stand it behind the chair and swan neck the top section over the chair to provide shadowless very bright day lite. Delivered the following day at a fraction of similar lights available from well known premium stores . Bought this lamp for my husband for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. We set it up with his favourite armchair and it shines good, white light down onto the books. I put it together myself so easy, minimal assembly. It was a bargain compared with other advertised lamps of the same type. The package was a bit bashed when it arrived but luckily, it did not seem to have damaged the product.2teirah

Setup was easy. It's great that you can set it so the light isn't interfering with the sleep cycles. Setting to orange (peach) works well for that and you can set the brightness too.MICHAEL

If you purchase an echo dot for your kids or even yourself, I highly recommend adding this gadget with it or they. Both my kids have one in their room. You can adjust the color and sharpness from 0 to 100% by directly talking to Alexa or by using the app on your phone. It has solid colors and fun flickering options with specific names. Works as intended! I didn’t want or need the HDMI Sync from Philips, but I did want the light behind the TV. Easy setup and installation. Wish it came with more 3M adhesives. Consider location twice, since you can only “stick” it once of that is your preference. One works fine for me, but definitely considering getting two more lights. I have a small one bedroom condo and this light bar really topped off the mood. The more ambient light the better! Put it behind the TV as advertised and its awesome. I haven't quite found the ease on eye strain as it proposes it helps with but as I keep using it maybe i'll notice. It not only looks great for any mood, but also just lights up the dark corner that the TV was sitting behind in my place. My picture really doesn't do the bar justice but I have paired with one of many other hue bulbs including the one in the picture. The way the light looks its also going to depend on your tv placement and living room setting. Mine is in a corner so it looks no where near the website sales photos! Customize it to you!Sloth

Love these lights and the customization of colors etc. I have a set on our main TV in the living area, and we just got a new TV for our bedroom so I bought another light set for that. I love that its all controlled in the same app and you can set timers for lights to come on and off. Great for parties or just chilling at home. Definitely would recommend.Madi

The like or dislike of form and function has little relevance to an item whose very description of being "Long Lasting" did not meet expectations. The Mainstays Intertek 4000145 of the Arcadia Collection has a longer name and description than does it's life expectancy. I purchased the item just a few months ago and was disappointed that after minimal use it flickered and died. This is a continuing trend in todays marketplace being flooded with low quality, disposable, foreign made appliances and products. Sam Walton would be very disappointed in the direction the company he founded has taken, I'm sure. I have avoided going to Wal Mart at all costs for this very reason but in some areas where the Giant has eliminated all small town/local shopping options it remains the only place to shop. I am sure that this one opinion will not make any difference in the big picture that is the Global Giant destroying small towns across the country. I will continue to encourage my friends and families to shop small local businesses and patronize local flea markets and garage sales where higher quality "Long Lasting" vintage products that were made to stand the test of time consisting of years instead of months can be found at reasonable prices. I got each of my kids rooms these lamps 2 years ago. Now the little ones are really hard on everything and yet the lamps survived sooo much. Well, time to finally replace them and now they come in a sleaker more modern style – nice right? Unfortunately the light is a downgrade. After one week, one failed. Requested a replacement, approved and delivered super fast. Delivery day my daughter brought me hers – it had failed. No point in continuing to replace them, going to have to look elsewhere. Sad. There's obviously a short in the new configuration seeing that I've had multiple now fail in the same very dull, flickering manner.Emily

I just got my lamp today. So far – so good, except that I was expecting a brighter light. I suppose that is my fault because it clearly says it is 260 lumens, which is equal to a 25 watt bulb. I also neglected to read the reviews before making my purchase. That was also my fault. I needed a new lamp quickly and the the price was right. If I had known so many people had issues with the lamp flickering and/or dying after less than 6-months, I wouldn't have bought it. Just so you know, the little 'catch all' tray is just 4" in diameter and just under 1/4" deep. Other than paper clips, which I already have a place for in my desk drawer, it is just a dust collector, in my opinion. I am now in the process of looking at other options, and I will be sure to check whether it has a bulb that can be replaced. My biggest disappointment is that it isn't bright enough for my needs. It was inexpensive, so I will use it until it stops working; hopefully that won't be before I get a replacement lamp.Fyllis

I spent ages looking for a good lighting option for my sewing desk, where I need high-quality light over a wide area – not just a super bright spot as many lamps provide. I'm really happy with this lamp as it casts a nice, wide pool of light over my working space and I can adjust the brightness & colour temperature as needed to help reduce eye strain. Also love that this one is compatible with Google Home, so if I accidentally leave the lamp on upstairs, I can remotely turn it off without having to go back up! Stylish very bright desk lamp that can be voice controlled by Amazon Alexa or controlled through its own app. It claims to also support Google Assistant but I haven't managed to get this to work in either the Xiaomi app or the Yeelight app. Both Xiaomi and Yeelight apps see and control the desk lamp directly without issue, however the interface to allow Google Assistant to access the lamp seems broken as Google can't see it nor control it, even though Alexa can. Seems they made some change to the API not long back and its broken the integration. It's not a show stopper, but its a shame one of the major smart home ecosystems can't be used with it despite their claim to support it.Babak

Fantastic stick ! It's MILWAUKEE product, what more must I say? This lamp blows the daylight outta me. Sorry it was a pun. In short great light and now I can work late night on my cars. I will stick a Neodymium Magnet at the battery butt so I can stick it on any metalic surface like the bonnete of my cars. The body is strong, unbreakable even. I suggest buying battery from "POWER-EXTRA" These batterie are M12 replacement, better than the original, Power-extra batteries are 2500mAH or 30Watt/H and costs $17 inclusive of shipping. Good light, but nothing special. It outputs light, but doesn't blow your mind. It's cool that M12 batteries fit. There are probably better lights out there for cheaper, but as with many of the electric-tool systems out there, once you invest in one brand/type, it just makes financial sense to stick with those tools so you can interchange batteries. I did get pissed at a car I was working on, and threw the flashlight down the driveway. The battery separated, but when I plugged it back in, it worked fine. It seems to be tough, so there is that.C.H.

I have owned 3 of these for circa 3 annums. I find them to be of excellent quality. They're durable, 3 annums so far without failure! It uses the various amp-hour M12 lithium rechargeable batteries that Milwaukee offers. The only improvement that I would like is a flat-plain area incorporated to the front of the handle, below the switch. This would prevent it from rolling while in use on a horizontal surface which is sometimes necessary to illuminate the work area.richard
