Reviews:
If you're going to get a few leaves around shrubs, you'll only get a few. This vacuum is not suited to the task. It's like a vacuum cleaner so the suction tube sticks to the grass, and you have to continually pull it away from the grass to pick up the next leaf. If you rake a pile of leaves, then try to vacuum them up, the bag will fill within 2-3 minutes. Forget about that bushel word. The only thing this vacuum does well is vacuuming leaves off of concrete. You're still going to have to use a rake and barrel for the majority of leaf pick up.srodgers61
Don't buy. I had nothing but trouble with mine right out of the box-new. I took it to an authorize dealer ( buy it here, and no warranty) and they told me that the warranty doesn't cover the carbuerator. Fixed it for 97 $. I vacuumed one bag of leaves and the engine died. Worst power tool I ever owned.srodgers61
I have had a chance to use this product twice for 2 hours of work both times. It worked great lifting leaves off of my landscaping and keeping 95% of the mulch in place. Lots of power and great mulching capacity. My yard has never looked so good in the fall. I would highly recommend this product.Scott

Reviews:
This is a poorly designed product for someone who has even a moderate amount of leaves to pick up. I had to empty the bag about every 5-7 minutes. The hose clogged A LOT! Way too often to make using this comfortable. It claims to be a large opening on the bag, but it was difficult to empty. The teeth of the zipper became jammed quite often because of leaf debris as well. This was the only option my Lowe's store had so I took it home and muddled through but it is an inferior product. Don't buy.Yard girl
I bought this product and had high hopes that it would be the tool for keeping stone covered garden beds leaf and debris free. I used it for short periods of time five times. On the sixth occasion, it won’t turn on – completely dead. I work at Lowe’s and bought this unit because it claimed it could do the job I needed to complete. It also carries the Craftsman label and I trusted the brand. It is frustrating and disappointing. I do have a Craftsman ShopVac, which I like; yet, there is no excuse for this useless substandard product. Now I know that Craftsman is no longer the quality tool brand it once was. The silver lining is that I do have the ability to wave customers away from Craftsman electric tools. The similar complaints demonstrate that this is not an isolated case. It is simply a sub-par product. Consider other brands and bypassCraftsman.Robert n ABQ
I've had this product for about 4 months now and have used it 5 times. We have primarily only used the vacuum/mulch feature as we have a cordless blower. As we are getting into peak leaf season I pulled it out today to use around our deck and patio. Within 3 minutes of starting, the hose ripped from the bag and rendered it inoperable. It couldn't be worse timing as the leaves have really started to fall over the last 4-5 days. I almost didn't purchase this product as it felt extremely cheaply made in the store (Lowes) but we have had good luck and multiple seasons with our Craftsman blower. I really regret this purchase and cannot recommend it.RobK

I have only put it to limited use, but it does seem to do a credible job on normal yard clean-ups. will have to wait until the leaves really start falling to put it to the test. Although I don't have any trees on my property, I'm surrounded by just about every other species and with the wind constantly blowing, everything ends up in my yard. Normally I would just use the blower attachment to move them on their way, but the vacuum feature makes short work of the leaves, needles and cones.hdufrenne
I kept telling my husband we needed a leaf blower to clear up debris from edging and cutting the lawn. I watch the professionals do it and know we were doing it the hard way. We sweep up after each cutting. I've had this Black and Decker for one season and it works well and quickly. I have not used the mulcher portion yet because we don't have a lot of trees/leaves on our property. The blower part works really well though. Completely satisfied.PeanutsMom

Reviews:
Ok, yes it’s a tad awkward, and clumsy, however so long as the Leaves are dry it makes mincemeat out of garden plant waste. Ideally run the mower over everything first. I basically mulched down10 full bags of garden waste. Perfect for soil amendments in the fall. However if there is any moisture, you have to unclog it. Easily done… it eats battery life, then again I had it going like a Saskatchewan combine harvester. I use it for soil spills no sweat. As the bag gets heavy and full, it starts to get difficult to manoeuvre. My only real issue is the Velcro seal on the bag. It needs to be constantly checked, otherwise it blows back out. All in all quite pleased, I use it daily to keep the leaves down the garden looks immaculate as I vacuum the lawn daily.
I love the concept behind Ryobi's "one" battery / many tools. However now there's two batteries – and maybe more in the future. When I got this I didn't realize it was only a vacuum mulcher. Most of the corded leaf blower / vacuum / mulchers do all 3. That said, it did vacuum and mulch. on a full charge on one of my existing batteries (no battery or charged in this kit either) I could do a small yard and got part way through mulching the leaves that were there. Then I connected my old one with the long extension cords and finished the job. I don't do the job often enough to justify a gas blower, and was looking for the convenience and safety of no cord. But the job (which took 4 hours) would have easily taken 6 or 8 if I'd had to stop and change and charge batteries along the way. Plus, I would have to have a separate blower or rake the leaves before mulching them. For the new discounted price, I still would have hoped for more. That said, if you have a smaller yard? Not good for older people. A bag of leaves can be 20 pounds. Plus the tool and battery. Even with the wheels you would be carrying the heavy end of the tool, plus the leaves.Mitch
Moving this thing around is like moving a sack of potatoes. To get descent suction I had to place the nose of the tube flat on the ground. That's not the worse part. Emptying the bag wasn't all that easy. Ryobi could have made the inside of the bag with a smoother material so the mulched leafs can come out easier. Its a mess with the mulch stuck all over the Velcro and inside the bag. Will be returning product back to store ASAP. Unfortunately, had to return other Ryobi products as well. Beginning to lose faith in Ryobi.Lawn Nut

Reviews:
With dual battery packs, this thing packs a punch. I picked it up specifically for mulching, as I already had a leaf blower but it performs superbly there. The assembly was straight forward, and batteries were charged ready to go out of the box. I appreciate the wheels at the end of the vacuum/ blower to rest it on the ground while sucking up and mulching leaves -great idea! The mulching was as expected, and performs best on dry, freshly fallen leaves. The ground leaves take up a fraction of the size otherwise used in leaf collecting.DoubleOSevens
This cordless leaf blower and vacuum is OK. The blower is not very powerful when I compare it to lesser voltage units I've used. That second battery also adds weight so as a cordless blower it's just ok. It's pretty nifty as a vacuum. The wheels on the front allow you to roll it around as you vacuum and it does a decent job of chopping up the leaves. I've only done a little testing so far but it seems to work well. I'll really test it this spring when my Live Oaks start dropping their leaves.Gasboy1
It's not bad for what it is but there's no chance of getting 2 hours of work time. I got 2 bags full and it quit. I accept that it's battery-powered and not even close to the power of the Sun Joe electric one I also have. I only bought this because it was cheap and I wanted spare batteries for my Sun Joe chainsaw. The biggest problem is with the handle design. The front handle is fine but the rear one is very awkward. The weight balance is terrible. The batteries are behind the handle and you'll probably end up doing what I do, holding the unit under the batteries. If you're looking for quick light cleanup, then this should be fine for you but don't expect to be using it all day, and definitely don't pay full price. It isn't worth it.Mike

Reviews:
Had this now for a couple of years and its been solid – I use the blower much more than the mulcher but I wish they had additional handle to better support when blowing the leaves as that spout is on the bottom so its a lot of weight on your one arm to flatten it out to blow farther out. Other than that it has been solid. The few times I used as a mulcher it does all right once you get into a grove as I have a lot of tight spots to get it down into to suck up the debrie.Tim1962
I bought this from Sams last fall. I was disappointed then and again this spring everytime I tried to blow debris from my driveway. The blowing power is very weak even on the high setting. I am so frustrated that I think I will throw it away and buy a new better one like the one I had before.Nibbs
Had great expectations, even though it was a plug-in. The blower, very weak, my battery run Worx blower is a lot stronger. The bagger, is cumbersome and found myself emptying the bag way more than should be expected even though the suction is abysmal. It struggles to pick up more than a FEW leaves at a time. The unit itself, is heavy and unlike the bag, has no strap. I tried to make it work as I would have to lose the tax and shipping cost if I sent it back. Alas, I decided to return it the same day, and take the loss. Good riddance !tscolt

I had pretty high hopes for this because we get a large amount of leaves in our yard. It works well at cleaning up a raked pile of leaves, however isn't great at pulling up unraked leaves. I have found it will clog easily also if you try to pick up too much at once. It's very silly that they designed the opening wider than the rest of the vacuum wand. I'd honestly probably return it, if I hadn't waited too long and thrown out the box.Zack

Reviews:
I bought this Oreck XL Commercial floor sweeper as a brand-new backup unit for an existing Oreck Xl home vac that I bought back in the 1990's. The original one still works just fine and the only maintenance it has ever required, other than bag changes, was a single drive belt replacement. The Oreck XL is a workhorse floor/carpet sweeper! And, the best part is that I recently got this brand-new one for $200, which is less than half of the price I paid for my original Oreck XL, back in the 1990's. The Oreck XL Commercial vacuum is light in weight (8 pounds). The low profile makes it incredibly easy to slide underneath a bed (you can even store it under there, between uses). It has a very comfortable ergonomically-designed handle with readily accessible on/off control switch. Each vacuum bag is top-loading and holds an incredible amount of debris. The filter bag is easy to change, is reasonably priced, and prevents any sneeze-producing dust from ever escaping the vac during use.vintage-connections
5/15/19 I did a lot of research before I chose to get one of these. I found out that the motor is only a 4 amp motor and I wondered if that was going to be powerful enough to do a good job. (I knew the motor was very long lasting.). I figured that because the discharge bag downstream of the motor was so much larger then comprable vacuums, that there would not be much back pressure on the motor and so by design, you probably don't need such a powerful motor. I also figured, that if you design a vacuum cleaner right, why would you need a 10 11 12 amp motor? I like the fact that it had a good quality cord that you didn't have to bend over to wrap the cord up it had a big bag so you didn't have to constantly buy bags did it was durable, because it is what janitors use and hotels across the country. I also know that my carpet was not a shag carpet it was a lower carpet and it was a hardwood floor. So I figured I would buy it from Walmart and try it and if I don't like it I can get my money back. WOW!!! I am so impressed with this machine! It picks up like you would not believe everything and I love the fact that you don't need a motor that is so powerful it belongs on a saw to cut wood. I love not having all these gadget cheap accessories that falling off all the time. I love being able to get underneath stuff. I love the lightweight. I love the switch on the handle in case I suck up a sock or shoelace. so that I can shut the motor off before I burn up a belt. I love the fact there's a spare belt underneath. I love the heavy-duty cushioning around the motor housing. And I really like the way the brushes are set up the beater bars very well-designed very simple very rugged very durable. (I believe in keep it simple KISS.)! So what if it's a tad noisy. And the negative review the guy posted about not being able to get us handle tight……well…… Some people are just not the least bit mechanically inclined. I like it better than my Bissell, KenmoreJay
Our Princess vacuum just died. We have always had problems finding bags for it anyway… We received a used Oreck as a gift many years ago and it still runs and cleans super. We still wanted a second vacuum on the top level. Well, that was a no brainer. The Oreck is very lite and easy to maneuver. Best vacuum cleaning we have ever seen.Brian

I started out with a Hoover vacuum over 40 years ago but got distracted by bright, shiny machines by other manufacturers. All of them had some problem – too heavy, difficult to use, didn't perform well, or whatever. Now I've come home to Hoover. I mean "home to Hoover" almost literally. You see one of my great-grandfathers who died decades before I was born worked for Hoover over 100 years ago. He gave my grandparents a Hoover when they got married. I love, love, love the Hoover vacuum which I bought a little more than a year ago. It is light, performs well on all surfaces, and is intuitive in operation. The bag disposal is a breeze – you just release it directly into a trash receptacle and that's all there is to it. I will not again make the error of using any other brand vacuum. I only hope that if I meet my great-grandpa in heaven that he will forgive me for ever having strayed!Sine Nomine
When using the cleaner tje attachments, and particularly the hose, simply fall off their perches. When I tried to discover through a user's manual, how I could prevent that, I discovered that Hoover does not directly supply a user's manual. Instead one has to go through third parties to download a manual, and that process stalls. So I never got an answer to my questions. I bought Hoover machine fifty years ago, and that's how long it lasted. I thought I could not go wrong with another Hoover vacuum cleaner. I was wrong.Dissatisfied
I purchased a WindTunnel about 10 years ago and was very happy with it. In fact, I always recommended it to friends who were looking for a good vacuum. Now I'm embarrassed that I did, because it does not work nearly as well as the old one. Now I will try to repair the on/off switch on my older WindTunnel. CONS: Gone are the "tools on board" – except for the crevice tool which now is stored in the extension tube. So you can't just grab the hose without first removing the crevice tool (and then you have no place to put the crevice too while you're using the hose). You have to bend all the way down to the floor in order to 'release' the hose. You cannot attach or switch to a longer hose because this one does not detach from the machine. The roller brush does not agitate the carpet as well as the old one. The bag compartment is smaller than the old one. The brush attachment for the hose is tiny – meaning you have to spend more time vacuuming furniture. It feels cheap – but is only 3 lbs. lighter than the older model. PROS: They finally attached the hose to the vacuum near the bottom – so if you reach with hose it does not make the vacuum fall over. The on/off switch is a push button rather than a slider (which is easier for arthritic hands). I will either repair my old one, or buy another brand. Then I will relegate the new WindTunnel one to the upstairs bedrooms.Diane

For times when I don't want to lug out my large shop vac for quick clean ups, and even liquid spills, this cordless DeWalt vacuum is fantastic. It's got enough power to do the intended work, and the design makes it simple to just grab, snap on a battery, and use. Being able to detach the hose to get into smaller spots, is a bonus, so I can do a quick vac of my cars or get between cabinets in the garage. I also love that it's a wet vac. When household spills happen I can spray some cleaner scrub the area, and suck up the mess with this right away. It's quick and easy to empty the bin, just one quick latch, brush off the filter dump it out and back ready to work it is. If you need a BIG capacity vacuum, get one, but this one has been great for most messes and quick pickups I've done. Run time depends on which DeWalt battery you use, I have different ones from 2ah to 6ah, and I've never had to swap a battery yet during use. I just Love Vacuums ! And this portable 20volt max DeWalt vacuum, just makes me smile from ear to ear.jamesisit
It could have more power, maybe there will be an XR version eventually. It's very portable and it's great that the hose comes off the end if need be. It's perfect for a vehicle or around the house sucking up stuff you don't want in your household vacuum. Even a 2 AH battery does well enough on the unit. It's perfect for cleaning up kid messes in the truck. If you need more options there is a cube style one on the market.Jeremie

The CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro it is perfect for everyday messes and though ones too. Being a mom of 2 toddlers and dog mom of 2 dogs having a wet and dry vacuum takes a load of my shoulders saving me from the need of having too many gadgets for cleaning. Vacuum comes with a wet and dry function that helps through deep clean and also on the spot dirt. Bissel products has a differential in their vacuum by adding LED lights which is a big plus helping to find fur and other debris otherwise not visible without it. The CrossWave has 3 functions: Hardwood floor, Small rug area and Pet turbo clean. So it can be use anywhere in the house. I had the chance to use the 3 of them and could see the difference in cleaning, as well helping to save battery life. Now talking a bit more about the wet function, the ergonomic handle has a trigger that when pressed sprays water helping to clean even more of your house and can be used on all 3 modes mentioned before. The assembly was easy and although the first couple times I had look back at the manual, eventually I got the hand of it. The product isn't very light, but the wheels helps to maneuver with ease. Cleaning the parts was very surprising for me, as I confess I'm not the kind of person who does maintenance o in vacuum, because most of the times it is difficult to take apart, but not with the CrossWave, everything is so easy to clean and take apart that it became natural to do so after each cleaning. Another shout out is for the auto clean function which helps with better functionality eliminating any dirt that might be trapped in the tube. The box comes with two brushes and two cleaning solution, which is necessary for effective cleaning. Last but not least, different from other vacuum that the base charger needs to be mounted on the wall this one does not which simplifies my busy life. I received this wet-dry vacuum from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
As a mom of three, and dog owner, I was absolutely ecstatic to learn I was selected to review the CrossWave X7 Cordless Pet Pro vacuum through the Stellar Review Testing Panel. Everyday messes are definitely a regular occurrence in our home, and I'm usually left with three options: Lug out the large vacuum, and haul it from room-to-room, changing outlets every few minutes; hunch over with my dust-buster for 20 minutes (which is not kind to my neck and back); or leave the mess until later. As a neat-freak, the latter of the options is never my favorite, and I'm generally left either killing 20-30 minutes when I could be doing something more productive on top of becoming frustrated and left with a stiff neck. So, needless to say, when the option for a cordless stick vacuum (dedicated towards pets and kids), I was like a kid at Christmas. I love this product! The three settings make it easy to switch between our hardwood floors, area rugs, and there's a turbo setting that is great at getting those stubborn areas that can really use some extra attention. The product is lightweight, holds a charge (I can vacuum our entire home easily on one charge), and I've found it's a great alternative to throwing my rugs in the washing machine. We have quite a few area rugs throughout our home (all washable due to kids / pets), which is great – but they are a hassle to wash / dry, lay down properly after-the-fact. With the wet / dry function on the CrossWave, I can literally run the vacuum over my area rugs for 1-2 minutes, and when done, they look like they've just been washed. Pet hair, cereal, everyday messes are easy to clean up, and the product is easy to charge / set-up and use. If I had to review any negatives, it would be two features. First, hard to reach places (under furniture, and particularly stairs), aren't the easiest to clean. Second, the instructions point out to clean after every use (highly recommend or I've found there is an odor with use).designgal78
Just to start off this is a fantastic product. We bought some appliances so we got $400 best buy gift cards and i had a $55 certificate from best buy(which the online guy that was supposed to help us never applied still a lottle mad about that and its expired now but whatever). Did some research it was between this and the Tineco floor one S5 but we ended going with this because we do have a few rooms with carpets. The pros: .It can clean our house (roughly 2,000 sq ft) on one charge. .That turbo mode is WOW!! .Easy to maintain and clean .Very lightweight .it makes cleaning so much faster The cons: .Maybe its the formula we are using but it is extremely soapy but started using less and it works much better. .it doesnt get the carpets the best( we know ots for area rugs) but on turbo mode it will do a room full of carpet just wont pick up too much of the water but man does it pock up some stuff! .the dirty tank gets full quick The 4 star is mainly for the price of it it is a lot of money for what you get, but honestly we have no Rugrets not even one letter! We are going to order the brush specifically made for carpets and try that out and see how that works and also some little tips. . Run the clean cycle after every use . After you are done cleaning and ran the cycle and cleaned your equipment take off the roller and put it in the holder to let it dry .once a week (i tried doing it every day but its too much) do a nice deep clean of your machine if you take care of it, it will take care of you.Ivan

Overall this is a good blower at an average price. My purchase decision was based on price, shape of handle, and the claimed 250 mph air speed. I mainly bought this as a blower and don't have much use for the vacuum and mulcher. The unit is fairly light and well balanced and the on/off switch is conveniently located to operate with your thumb. The pieces seem to be sturdy and assemble easily. There is a very comprehensive user manual (in 3 languages) just in case you need detailed instructions. The 250 mph air speed is, of course, achieved by virtue of the very small narrowing nozzle. Sometimes to do need a very directed narrow jet of air, but sometimes you need a wider flow pattern, which you cant achieve with this blower. That last point is why I gave this 4 stars. It seems that blower manufactures have settled on an either-or design for the blower nozzle. You either get a small, narrow nozzle for speed or a big gaping hole for volume flow. I wish they would provide a nozzle adapter to achieve both. The 6 speed airflow is controlled by a rotary wheel on the side of the handle. I find myself just using the high speed most of the time. At the high speed I can push leaves around at about 10 feet away from the nozzle. A helpful design feature is that the electrical connection to the extension cord is actually an electrical cord extending about a foot for the blower housing, as opposed to being a socket within the blower housing. Another feature to better secure the extension cord is the design of the extension cord latch, which is different and (probably) better than other blowers. In this case you loop the cord through an opening onto a hook, as opposed to passing the extension cord socket head through an opening.MasterReviewer
I tuned up my Sunjoe Leaf Vac for the first time today. I don't have deciduous tree in my front lawn but I somehow end up with all my neighbor's leaves! Gone are the days when parents send their kids to clean up the mess of leaves that blew into my yard from their tree. Lord knows we were expected to clean up our messes no matter where they ended up! Yes, that included sweeping leaves from neighboring yards, sidewalks, and the street. Enter the SUNJOE leaf blower and vac. This puppy really does the job and I am more than pleased! The wheels under the nozzle make vacuuming a breeze and easy on the arms. The bag is easy to remove and empty. It makes a nice mulch too if that sort of thing excites you. I recommend using a heavy duty extension cord as it can pull up to 14 Amps. All that being said, I would highly recommend this product. Put your ear and eye protection on and blow or vac until the offending neighbor is glaring out the window wondering when the heck you will be done. Truth be told, it was so much fun to use, I'm kinda looking forward to next fall!ghorabkelb

After searching for an small but sturdy wet/dry vac, I found this through a mailer. Unlike what was available on the A-Z site, this one is sturdy, does not turn over easily, and was fairly easy to assemble. OK I did have to have a guy help push in the wheels, but when together it is large enough to do the job, and the wheels keep it from over turning. I highly recommend it for small to medium jobs – and it can be used as a regular vacuum or to pick up water. The instruction book is helpful and clear on how to use and easy to put together.Auddiemae
Has Craftsman gone downhill? Whole lot of plastic included in a lot of their new offerings, and whadaya know…I smell some burning here. Had a Shop-Vac brand, same size, finally died after years and years…replaced it with this one thinking "Craftsman has great warranties, and high quality, right?" Well at least in this instance, wrong. 10 months almost exactly is how long it lasted. So very disappointed.ShdwCatt
Bought the vac and then after one use the world turned upside down. Now after getting somewhat normalized I've used it three more times. On it’s real third use the motor started sounding rough. Inspection led to nothing unusual sticking where it shouldn’t. Last use the motor started smoking and now won’t run but a few seconds till the thermal cuts it off Yes, I would very much like to speak to you about this vacuum.Tea3803

This is a well-built little vacuum that proves handy for quickly vacuuming the hardwood in the kitchen and dining room. Powerful suction, combined with light weight, make this little guy a good value. A couple of things however, need work: The carrying handle is in no way ergonomic, making it awkward to carry around. The hose coupling to the extension tube absolutely will not stay connected, except with duct tape! The little clip to hold the plug to the cord when storing will not flex enough to press the cord into it. It just won't work, period. The on-off button needs to be moved to the other end of the vacuum, so as to use it with your thumb, rather than reaching back to press it with your little finger. I'm always on the hunt for things Made in the USA. Fix this.J.
I wanted a handheld vacuum for small clean up jobs both home and car. I looked at a lot of Dustbuster types, mostly rechargeable. But I didn't like the plastic-y construction and negative reviews. I knew the Chemical Guys car vacuum was different the moment I saw it online. Liked the USA-based company, metal construction, size, the fact that it had attachments… and the price! Since purchase it has lived up to all my expectations. Good job!

As others have noted, the power switch WILL eventually fail. I have several tools by this company that work great. The R&D person who decided a .50 cent pressure switch would be a good addition to this should be flogged immediately. Within weeks of owning, I started experiencing issues. I use this all the time and didn’t want to wait to ship back and forth the product but it finally died completely at the switch. Customer Support isn’t great with these guys. Seems they have one person who answers phones. Maybe they should consider a second person to help with the call volume. I’d rate higher if the replacement process wasn’t as terrible as this power switch.Buzz112233
I was looking for a powerful cordless leaf blower/mulcher, particularly the mulcher cause leaves cannot always just be blown away and must be picked up and removed from the ground. This one fit my needs and can say it performs just as well as my chorded electric blower/mulcher without the hassle if the chord. Runtime is plentiful with the 4.0ah battery. I get about 20 minutes running at full power which is recommended for the mulcher function. Enough to fill the bag up once or twice, more if you’re just mulching down an organized pile of leaves. I can’t understand why the more powerful leaf blowers are not incorporating the mulcher function.Robert D
I bought the blower because I already have a chainsaw, polesaw and string trimmer. All the batteries are interchangeable. I really like the chainsaw and have no complaints on the polesaw. The string trimmer is okay. About the blower- delivery was lousy (fed-ex) they left it in the driveway near the road in the rain at night, I found it in the morning. The blower was a bit smaller than I thought it was going to be but it works fine and easy to handle and use. I would have preferred a round blower tube instead of a rectangle for ease of attachments. I can't say it's better or worse the the competition but it decent and I am happy with it.Bryan B

Reviews:
I bought this as part of a Black & Decker combo pack; a trimmer (for grass & weeds) and a leaf blower. I mostly wanted the trimmer, but the combo price ($80) was too hard to pass up, so I thought I'd give them a try. I used the trimmer multiple times throughout the summer and it was okay; not great, but good enough to do what trimming I needed around my small house. (I have one bone to pick with the trimmer… but I'll save that for the trimmer's review.) Now that summer's over and the leaves are falling, I pulled out the leave blower and put it together. (If you haven't figured it out by now, the same batteries can be used with both devices, which is nice.) Simply put, the 20-volt battery can't supply enough power to get enough air going in the leaf blower to push even a modest amount of leaves around with any significant force. After 4 batteries worth of leaf blowing (2 batteries, each charged twice), I've still just barely made a dent in my front yard… and I have a very small front yard. That's pretty pathetic in my opinion. I can't deny that the batteries may eventually wear out, but so far I've charged my two batteries multiple times this year with no negative effects so far. (We'll have to see if they're still working next spring.) In the end, I gave the leaf blower a 3-star rating (perhaps more than it warrants) because… Well, you really do get what you pay for. If you want something really nice, you're simply going to have to pay more money for it.DConway
I bought this one to replace a previous B&D trimmer when the batteries died – remember the one that took NINE HOURS to charge the battery? The reviews on this one said the battery life was better, and the charging time was a couple of hours, so I got one. Took it back after a couple of uses because the adjustable handle would "slip" to the next higher position during use. Guess what? The replacement did the SAME THING! Rather than deal with the return hassle, I kept it. Worked decent until last summer, when the EasyFeed feature became the ought-to-feed feature. I don't think it's the spools, because replacing the spool didn't fix the problem. While I really like my other B&D tools, I'm done with their trimmers.Lars

Reviews:
I work in residential property maintenance and I bought this to use for small water spills that tend to occur. It works great for that, and is easy to carry around because of the small size. One unforeseen benefit of this item is the small hose, relative to other wet dry vacs, is great for blowing clear a clogged drain line. I had a clogged condensate line on a furnace, and I set the vac up to blow and put it over the drain on the furnace side of the line. I was able to blow the blockage out very quickly because the hose is roughly the same size as the drain pipe. I did the same thing with a washing machine drain that was running slow. I put the hose over the hole and used my hand to create a seal around the top of the drain and blew the blockage out of the way, and then flushed the drain with water. It worked perfectly and I did not have to use any chemicals or a drain snake. This item is very versatile if you think outside of the box for other ways to take advantage of the features.Daviddddd
Okay so we love the shop vac because of the fact they have great suction, can be used to soak up water, Or I can use it to blow our deck of any debris and since we have a big house with 8 active teenagers , and 2 dogs theres always some part of our house we are doing some type of repair or deep cleaning and I always use my shop vac. but after 6years my shop vac broke and so my other half seen how miserable i was he went and brought me another. Except he saw this mini sized one and figured that would work because then i dont have to be lugging the big one around. BIG MISTAKE! this mini or 2.5 gallon one is such a dissappointment! first of all the suction sucks i find my self going back and sweeping or using my other vacuum to vacuum over. It smells like its burnt, and I cant even blow an ant off my deck with this! for $40 bucks i couldve just brought me the regular one and i would have been very satisfied! sad to say we brought this in july. So, how do i use the warranty and is it possible to get the regular one?sadken
The hose on this thing won't stay on. Theres NOTHING in the manual that explains in detail how to lock it in and i have looked it over extensively but cannot find a way. You attach it, twist it, push it, nothing works. Within a few minutes of using it the hose inevitably falls out leading to extreme angry frustration. There look to be little notches that catch but i have tried and they do nothing. I had a cheap $10 wet vac before this that lasted me about 10 years w/o a problem. No more craftsman products for me. This thing is junk, and to make matters worse it's impossible to talk to anyone in the company that actually knows the products.Joe4563

A great supplemental vacuum for cleaning stairways, closets, blinds, and light dusting with good suction. And I love the long power cord. But the springy vacuum hose is a nuisance! It seems like me and the hose are in a constant fight; it pulls pack while I want to go forward!Brownie
I clean houses for a living, and this is perfect for my needs. Great suction, it's lightweight, and the strap/ handle make for easy maneuvering. Great long cord, I was not interested in cordless because the life span on the batteries does not hold up – especially over time. I would buy this again in a heartbeat, especially at this price!!Stephanie
This is my third purchase of this vacuum over the years and obviously I love it. Light weight and a dynamo cleaner it is also perfect for anyone with a limited weight carrying they can tolerate. The second vacuum was being used and abused by another person so the poor thing's motor died. BUT I immediately went on-line to find a replacement. As I said – I love the whole machine and the quality.Patricia

bulky, heavy. the nozzle? if you want to call it that doesnt blow debris unless you are right on top of it. the motor is heavy and the tool in itself is so unbalanced that its hard to use it as a sweeper. I used to use my old blower, different brand, to clean my car interior and boat and this one is very ineffective for that. Its to heavy to use on a ladder to clean my gutters. It does a pretty good job at mulching leaves that are raked in a pile, but to use as a vacuum, forget it. once again, ANOTHER Worx product that just doesnt work for me. Im done with this brandlg34c
This is my second WORX Blower/Mulcher Vacuum. The first one, which I had for about 5 years, was great except the connection point knob for the bag broke because of the constant twisting and locking feature so I had to put a screw in its place. This model is a much better design with a press and push locking mechanism for the bag. It makes it much easier to remove the bag too. In addition, the mulch/vacuum lever is a much better design too. Again, it's very easy to use. The blower feature performs equally well as the old model, but the mulching is much better. Probably because of the metal blades. The improvements were a great adjustment making this model the best on the market. The only thing I'm not happy about is the plastic cord locking aspect. It works fine, but the cord coming from the WORX could be a bit longer. Regardless, this a great WORX product and I recommend it. It make short work in yard clean ups. By the way, my old model was still working fine when I gave it away. WORX still makes the older model, but if you looking for a blower/mulcher vacuum I recommend this model.VW Man
If you have reasonable expectations of how this is meant or work, it works *very* well. I’ve always found Worx products to be very well designed, reasonably priced, and robust, and this unit is no exception. I believe many of the lower-rated reviews of this product may stem from expectations that are unreasonable for this type of device. A couple of notes that might be helpful to others: -Wear a mask/respirator. The Trivac will kick up a LOT of dust which you’ll be breathing in. I waited until about my third bagful to grab my mask and should have got it earlier. -Don’t overload the unit with a big pile of leaves. It does much better just sucking them from where they are. This is great though, as it saves you the step of making piles. It will jam less frequently this way as well. -Use care when sucking up twigs. Very small (dry) twigs are no problem, but anything greater than ~5 mm diameter will likely cause a jam. This is an excellent product and I’d recommend it.Iain

I wish I had known about this item a long time ago! So far I've only used it once but I was able to vacuum up a bunch of leaves and mulch them. I had no problem assembling it and figuring out how to switch between blowing and mulching. Based on other reviews I decided on this model. I figured at age 69 it should last as long as I need it. I agree with another reviewer that a wider strap would be more comfortable but overall I found it pretty comfortable to use.Volume not too bad on the lower speed but probably ear protection would be good on high.mrsperk76
Dunno 'bout the complaints I'm reading, but I have one of the older models–had it ~10 years–and the motor finally burned out. But I used it a lot–my neighbors have 3 poorly maintained oak trees that span over my house, and I'm constantly buried in the debris from December to September (I'm in FL). GRRR. So I used it 4-5 times a week, and ~10 years is not bad for an inexpensive electric tool. I paid like $45 for it at WallyWorld. I also used the vac a lot, to pick up the oak leaves from hard-to-get places (like in rock beds that have heavier rocks) and my back yard (totally enclosed–nowhere to blow the leaves). Can't use it in areas that have small, light rocks (like pea gravel) 'cause it's too powerful (even on the low setting) and sucks up the rocks (likewise areas that have mulch, if you have that). Instead, for that I use my shop vac w/ the wide (sweeper-type) attachment. Ergo, little wear-n-tear on the impeller blades; after ~10 years, mine still look almost new. It's true that it doesn't completely mulch oak leaves, but oak leaves are small and get sucked up past the impeller blades easily. The claim that it turns 10 bags into 1 is pure fantasy. For oak leaves, you're better off using dedicated plastic yard cans than trash bags (trust me on this–I have 2). It's still much easier than raking and shoveling leaves all day. You'll want to keep the bag clean; it has pores to allow fine dirt to filter out, and they can get clogged. Hose it down until the water runs clear, let it dry and you're set. My only complaint w/ the old model was how the bag attached to the unit–it wasn't well-thought out, and if I didn't keep the bag really clean, the build-up of pressure would blow it right off. But the newer model looks like it has a much better designed attachment. I'm going over today to pick up this new model and expect another ~10 years of use (or abuse, in my case). For $53, it's really about the best option as both a blower (ever try to rake oak leaves out of St. Augustine Floritam?) & vac. You can pay lots more, but I doubt you'll get any more functionality. It's just a yard tool, right?smitty
My blower/vac arrived this morning. I'll bet that the FedEx delivery person had a chuckle when he saw all the zillions of tree berries all over my driveway and front walk so even he knew why I purchased this item. I assembled the unit to do vacuuming and went to work on my ugly tree droppings in my front yard and driveway. Even in the low speed it picked up everything quickly and easily, so I didn't disturb the neighbors. I used to broom and pick up the berries and leaves, and it took me an hour or two to do that. But the vacuum did the job in a hurry, so I was done in 20 minutes. I did have to dump the bag about 3 times. Since I am 6-02 tall, I have to lean over slightly to use the unit, and this is wearing. It is really set up for someone who is a little shorter than I am. Do wear ear plugs and wear a face mask. And after I came back into the house, SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED insisted that I change out of my somewhat dusty clothes. I haven't tried the blower yet. The case and parts need dusting with an old paint brush to get the dust off of them before storage. I'll have to clear off a shelf in my garage to store the unit because, with so many pieces, it is a bit of a storage problem. I am really glad I bought it because it will save me a lot of work. I don't know how long it will last, but at its price, it does not have to last forever.OldEngineerinTexas
