I was in the middle of a wiring project On my boat and needed tinned wire, I thought it would be a product that was easy to find, not so. None of the auto part or home improvement stores were of any help, if WM did not keep this in stock it would have delayed my completion by a few days at least, and as a result I was able to go fishing that weekend. im very dissapointed in the fact that you make a roll of wire thats 1000 feet long but one of your shortest spools you offer has a twist splice not even 20 feet into it, i mean, the quality of the wire seems very nice, but come on, remove the splice and sell it as a 50 or 75 foot spool, i feel cheated, nobody likes to have to splice a wire randomly in the middle, its a weak spot and is a likely spot for corrosion and catching while your pulling it through tight spaces. as much as i like the quality of the wire, im not sure i would buy it again knowing this, and from some of the other reviews, i should have measured it to see if it was actually 100 ft, looks like they can sometimes try to get you that way aswell. Wire seems thin as others have stated, looks like mostly sheathing around conductor. Packaging is different from the GearIT description. The claim that it has "99.9% OFC Copper" has been removed. Just says OFC. Number of strands is missing from the packaging too. Strange that it's different from what's being sold on GearIT. Didn't like that. The wire itself looks nothing like product description. Description shows much larger conductors / thinner sheathing. Real life cable has a lot of rubber much less copper.
GearIt 14 gauge is of good quality. The only problem I had when wiring up my Klipsch speakers was the very thick outer cover. If you don’t have the right tools to strip the wire you’ll end up cutting the wire until it becomes too short to wire up your surround speakers. I wished they did not cover the red and black conductors with very thick plastic as the red and black conductors are individually wrapped. Why cover it with very thick plastic and make it look like a cable for internet? If you have no experience stripping wires, get the right tools and keep practicing. You can’t apply too much pressure on the wire because it might accidentally cut the red and black wires inside. If you pinch lightly you might end up bending the whole wire until you run out of patience to successfully. These are good wires, but you need a lot of patience, practice, and the right tools to strip the wires perfectly!Jeanette
I used this wiring to set up my new home sound system (7.2 Klipsch Reference series speakers, connected to a Denon AVR). It does the job perfectly well—definitely better than your run-of-the-mill copper coated aluminum wires, or the official Amazon OFC wiring (which has far too few strands of metal). Intended to buy 16 AWG OFC cable, but in my haste I was careless and ordered 12 AWG CCA. Started cutting it to length before I realized my error – typical of me. Blame it on the excitement of install new stereo equipment.The speaker cable sounds fine on the new Hi-Fi, but I'm left wondering if I would/could hear any difference from an Audiophile cable? That said, I'm unwilling to spend AudioQuest prices on speaker wire.This cable is CCA, not OFC. It was easy to work with, the shielding seems okay as I'm not picking up any interference from the (many) computer peripherals, Ethernet cabling or mini TP-Link switch in the home office/music room.I tried a popular set of Monoprice Banana plugs with the GearIT 12 AWG cable, but found them inconsistent in their application – some would apply easily, some would not. Swapped them out for 'GearIT Banana Plugs for Speaker Wire (6 Pairs, 12 Pieces), Pin Plug Closed Screw Type, 24K Gold Plated Connectors, Banana Pins' which were considerably easier to apply. These appear to be clones of the FosPower Banana Plugs, but I'm uncertain who came first.Uncertain when I'm going to swap out these cables and for what – may head to Crutchfield for further advice. CCA, (unfortunately for me I missed that this was copper clad aluminum) suffers from more resistance than a purer copper. Meaning you get a fuller range of sound over longer runs. Do to this a 12gauge cca is equivalent to a 16 or 14gauge copper, depending on length. I purchased specifically for longer runs as they’ll be powering rear and height. And while they don’t require tons of power it’s just easier on the amps if a pure copper is used. Spend the extra $10 to $20 and forget this cheap stuff. You will regret it when you have to rewire because you can’t get the sound you want. But if you’re dead set on it make sure to get the 12 gauge or double up on the 14 gauge making sure you aren’t going more than 12-15’ with it. You get what you pay for. I will be replacing this with a 12 gauge 99.9% pure copper as soon as it arrives.Jason C.
This is basic aluminum wire with copper coating. That is a fine conductor. 12 gauge speaker wire so it carries a lot of signal. Ordered day 1, promised day 4, Amazon said on day 4 it had been delivered but it wasn’t, Amazon said day 5 was within the “delivery window” so let them know if it doesn’t arrive, and then it was delivered on day 5. Fulfilled by Amazon so this isn’t the seller’s issue. The wire is fine, copper is expensive, and aluminum is an excellent electrical conductor. Many high capacity (“tension”) lines are aluminum. It can corrode when attached to copper fixtures, so they copper coat this speaker wire.Joe C.

I bought a few months ago and used in my bass boat last week. After wiring was done I found out there were breaks in the 22 gauge wire. It was in the black wire. The red wire was ok. I checked the rest of the wire and it was bad also on the black wire. I had to throw the wire away.michaeld7243
The wire is conductors are significantly undersized. Measuring the entire length gave a resistance of 3.2 ohms which is about twice what true 18 AWG wire should measure. It should work for most low current applications, but I would not recommend it for long runs or the rated current for 18 gauge stranded wire (4.9A) and limit its use to its more correct 22 AWG 2.1 A.tmil61232
Just finished installing stereo surround sound using this wire. I ran it though the ceiling to my unused attic space. It was easy to see and find in the insulation up there and the red and black wires insured I kept the polarity straight. I'm an Everest junkie, despite having never climbed any mountain. Just the thought of people willing to give their lives for a few minutes at the summit makes it interesting to me. Mr Dickinson is very lucky to be alive and I'm sure the love of his family, his faith in God as well as his military background have a large part in him being able to overcome what would be a death sentence to most people. At times I felt that he might be a bit full of himself but perhaps he felt like he needed to outline his particular skill set that enabled him to survive. I dropped a star for what seemed like self aggrandizing and irritated me a little but I recommend this book to anyone who is also interested in Everest or just likes a human interest story. As a Christian myself, I enjoyed the author's frequent references to his faith and how that helped him but it may be perceived as too much by those who don't share that perspective. He was also dismissive of the faith of the Sherpas on the mountain. There is one God and although their way may not be the way of the Western Christian, they are every bit as entitled to pray for safe passage as Mr Dickinson was. If not for the Sherpa people, most could not climb the mountain. They deserve some respect. They do intense back breaking and unselfish work to enable climbers to reach the summit of Everest, putting their own lives at risk in the process. Many have died on the mountain helping others achieve their goals. A bit of respect for their faith would have been nice.E.
I have purchased three copies of this book to give as gifts for Father's Day and for my boss who loves adventure novels. They have all said this was an excellent book that is very "readable" and even surprisingly relatable given he is writing about Summitting Mt. Everest! My Step-Dad who was also formerly in the Navy enjoyed reading about Brian's training Days as a Navy Seal and my boss enjoyed the aspects about his family. It's not "just" a book about climbing Everest, or "just" another book about someone's faith, or "just" a book about someone's triumph over trial. It is very well-written and well-rounded with a balance of back-story and edge-of-your-seat drama. It's is incredibly inspirational and a testimony to the power of prayer and sovereignty of God. I hope this book gets made into a movie, too!j.
I was riveted from start to finish! My heart was racing and I could feel it pounding as if I, too, was forcing myself to acclimatize to the various camps on the mountain. And that was just on his way UP! Now, we had to get down and my 'guide' is blind! By sheer will, and the Grace of God, "we" arrive back at Advance Base Camp and this epic climb of Mt Everest is done. Brian's story is one of grit and determination and very well told. Not pretentious in any way, his plain-spoken style underscores a self-assuredness that is remarkable. He really leads you on his trek in such an easy-going way you feel you are actually right there with him. I am a return customer and have suggested this product to friends and family. I have used this product for years. A family member suggested it to me. It is cost efficient. We used to pay for a monthly spray but found out it is so much more toxic and expensive. I have grandchildren and this product is safe when dry and does the job splendidly. I put it on the perimeter of my house indoor and outdoor. I only have to use it indoor about once a year but do it about every three months outside. I put it around the doors and window outdoor. Only downside to sprays is you have to sweep up the dead bugs. We have many bugs in OK and it seems to do the trick on most of them so far. Also, I use their yard beads to keep the bugs down in the yard. I have used it in MO, IL, and OK.cwayman
Do not use this version. The battery operated sprayer does not work and they have added soooo many steps in between you can't figure out where the problem is. So to assemble, remove from side of bottle, stretch out the line and flip it into position. Press into the opening until it clicks, switch it over to on. Remove the battery tab (the cut off so the batteries don't go bad), flip out the handle, and flip the nozzle to the correct version (narrow v. broad spray–indoor/outdoor). Then press and hold the switch. Keep waiting and waiting then start trouble shooting a literal F—ing poison. From what I can tell, whatever pump they use lacks the ability to do what it was designed for, making the cool handle, trigger, sprayer, etc. useless. I have 1.33 Gals that, because of this COLOSSAL FAILURE, I need to put in a spray bottle so I can spray the outside while everyone else is asleep and it will dry before everyone gets up.Jack457
I have yet to finish a jug of this. I've been using this product for years, and it works well to keep ants and spiders out. Years ago, the wand was a hand sprayer, you pumped the handle. Was it a pain after awhile? Yes. But it always worked. Then someone thought they had a better idea, and made a motorized wand. Now, I understand that for the price they couldn't spend a lot of money on making the wand, but on the other hand, it's worthless if it worked. Every one I've had since they went to this new wand has failed. The motor whirs like it wants to work. I check the batteries and make sure they're fully charged. Still nothing. I bought these replacement meteor flares at the same time as my replacement locator flares. I failed to look closely at the expiration dates on the meteor flares until I went to put them on my boat. I was disappointed to see they would be expiring in 2 years and 7 months. Flares not being cheap, I returned to a West Marine to exchange them for ones that had an expiration date 3 years old. The clerk initially gave me a look like what's the big deal, they are good until 2021. I did get them exchanged with no problem after I pointed out West Marine should have taken them off the shelf once the expiration date is less than the 3 year window. I've been buying these for something like 45+ years and never needed to fire one off. I am blessed. However, when buying these I ran into a friend in the store at the same time and he chastised me for buying these, he said he's been on the "looking for" side of these flares instead of the "hope you see me" side, and he'd go with a 25mm Flare Launcher instead. Never had to use these. They look good in the safety locker and will pass Coast Guard scrutiny. All of the signals expire 42 months after manufacture so be careful what you pull down off the shelf. Excellent quality marine wire. The single jacket makes fishing the wires extremely easy. The tinned strands provide fantastic corrosion resistance. Combine this with a solid soldered joint and adhesive lined heat shrink tubing and you'll have a connection better and more durable than what 80% of people make.F.S.
The jacket can be easily scored and peeled with a utility knife. It's real tinned copper inside to conduct well and resist corrosion. The insulation is decently strong, flexible, and resists abrasion. The stranding is not too fine, which is good – you don't get loose strands when inserting to screw terminals or crimp connectors. I'm using it in my RV for add-on circuits which run underneath, where they may be exposed to sunlight, oil, and water. Time will tell how well it holds up, but this cable is UL-listed to handle all of those.C.

im very dissapointed in the fact that you make a roll of wire thats 1000 feet long but one of your shortest spools you offer has a twist splice not even 20 feet into it, i mean, the quality of the wire seems very nice, but come on, remove the splice and sell it as a 50 or 75 foot spool, i feel cheated, nobody likes to have to splice a wire randomly in the middle, its a weak spot and is a likely spot for corrosion and catching while your pulling it through tight spaces. as much as i like the quality of the wire, im not sure i would buy it again knowing this, and from some of the other reviews, i should have measured it to see if it was actually 100 ft, looks like they can sometimes try to get you that way aswell. I needed a new computer as my old HP Pavilion stopped working. It came in a heavily protected box! I got this one because of the great amount of storage and size. I saw a YouTube video that said that you couldn’t play games on it but I downloaded Minecraft and the Sims 4 and it functioned perfectly. The computer runs OSX El Capital but you can update it to OSX Catalina in the App Store and it runs fine. I highly recommend this computer! This safe has been exactly what we have been looking for…a safe with a "BUILD-IN ALARM SECURITY SYSTEM." The problem with most safes is that they look great but don't take into consideration the most important part which is a security system to deter unauthorized access. I was surprised that a security alarm was not standard or come as default in these safes, so it took a while to search and luckily stumbled upon Sports Afield that has most of their safes with this built-in security alarm. Why and makes this security alarm such a big deal? If nobody is home or you're away on vacation, an intruder would have all the time in the world to force their way into the safe, but with a security alarm, it will either scare them away or grab attention of anybody nearby to see what's going on. Having this security offers another level of security and peace a mind on top of the solid walls. You can't go wrong with any Sports Afiled's, being the only brand of its kind on the market, that has this commonsenical feature that other brands failed to notice or take into consideration.
My safe arrived today I seams very well constructed but arrived a bit scratched and dinged due to shipping I guess. After placing safe in the location I wanted it. I started placing my rifles in the safe I was very happy on how organized it was looking. When I was done I went to close the door I noticed it was obstructed from closing are the way? The safe will not accommodate AR rifles with large power scopes. If you consider purchasing this safe please measure what you plan on putting in it.
