As soon as I put this conditioner in my hair though, the tangles melt away. Detangling is a breeze, and it leaves my hair reasonably soft. Aloe Vera grows in my backyard and have it available at any time to create my own concoction for so many things but to have this as a shampoo and conditioning right out the bottle at any time is an awesome thing as well. Here I do not have to make it and saves a whole lot of time and it has a way longer shelf life. Having said that, this product gives my hair everything it needs and is so very good for it and my health. When I used it for the first time on my long hair, it lathered up and rinsed out well. However, after the second, third and fourth time, my hair started to feel like straw after rinsing it out, like it stripped all the natural oils from my hair. I had tried for years to find something that made my hair heathy & strong. I tried everything… On Walmart shelves & hair salon shelves too! I have to say that this was amazing for my hair(grew back bald spots on the hairline & my hair has never been thicker) but I’m sure I can’t speak for everyone because everyone’s hair is different. The ingredient list is not perfect, however it's the most natural conditioner I could find. Also, the fragrance is not artificial and it's really nice and mild. (I find the artificial fragrances so powerful and nauseating- so at least the fragrances are all natural!) Absolutely marvelous! Been locked down for over 3 weeks and ordered it cos my stylist showed me she uses it when she diffuses my hair. This is the first time I've tried a shampoo bar and until recently didn't know they even existed. I love how it comes in a recyclable box and isn't in some big bulky packaging. This size makes it perfect for an on the go alternative. It fits easily in all the purses I own and would be super easy to fit in luggage or an overnight/gym bag. Great for people who travel alot, those who fly would benefit from this and no worry about it not being the correct size or in the correct bottle. It's a no hassle way to bring shampoo with you. It is supposed to help strengthen weak hair and I think with a little more time to use this I'll see some of those results as well. The only thing I wasn't very pleased with was the smell. Thats my fault though, I know ginger is a very fragrant smell that I'm not crazy about. The smell lingers and if you like the smell of ginger you will love this. This bar has been used for a few weeks now almost daily and it's still about half the size it was brand new so you definitely get a lot of uses out of just 1 bar. My first impression of this bar shampoo was that it smelled fantastic. Imagine the smell of sunshine at a beach with accents of sun tanning lotion. I can see using this bar of shampoo for camping and traveling. It's lightweight and small in size so it will fit mostly anywhere. I don't see myself using this on a regular basis at home. I much prefer my squirt bottles for a quick dispense, lather and rinse. The bar shampoo does lather nicely but I prefer a quicker way of getting there. I have straight mid-back length oily hair. It does a nice job with the oils in my hair and I can go a couple of days without washing my hair after using it and simply use my dry shampoo. (Normally my hair looks so greasy if I don't wash it regularly.) After using it, my hair feels very clean and I follow up with my conditioner. I am not a minimalist by any means so no plastic packaging doesn't appeal to me but I can see how to other environmental conscious individuals would see this as a winner. I recieved Garnier Whole Blend Shampoo Bar Honey Treasures full sized product free to try for my honest opinion. First, the positive! No animal testing, from renewable energies, sustainable sourcing and eco friendly formulas. I absolutely love the smell, it is beyond divine. Biodegradable packaging and beautiful box design. The bar which lasts a long time apparently (I passed it along to my daughter to try out after my results were less than stellar) dried out my hair and did not lather up as I expected. The packaging states it works on detangling issues however it seems to make mine worse. My hair is fine and I have lots of it so that may make a difference. I can't live without pure Aloe Vera gel. It helps capture moisture on skin. In a 2 oz jarful, I stir in about 1/2 level tsp melted coconut oil and 6 drops Vitamin E oil. That is my routine facial under-makeup moisturizer. It immediately softens dry hands. I have also used the pure gel on my hands to smooth frizz on freshly washed hair before styling. Did I mention that Aloe Vera Gel is produced by the "burn plant"? If you burn your finger while cooking and apply it immediately, your burn will heal and be nothing but a red spot in a day or two.
