The brush itself is super lightweight, so when I’m blowing out my hair it’s easy to roll it tightly around the barrel and then rest it on my head instead of having to physically hold it up while trying to lock in alight curl. I was disappointed in the Ibiza EX 4 brush. It was very well reviewed, but it does not grab the hair firmly. I use it to brush my hair, but the bristles dont grab. This is a professional tool, yes, but it’s a tool for styling professionals to use on their clients, not a tool for us at home to get a more professional look to our everyday diy home blowouts. And here’s why: the rubber handle grip will stick to large sections of your hair and pull it right out of your head unless you can perfectly section your hair onto just the bristled area of the brush like a stylist does. Let me tell you, no matter what I tried with my long hair, I could not keep strands or whole sections of hair from falling suddenly onto the grip and getting stuck (OUCH). Not only was this painful, but when the hair got stuck on the rubber grip the brush itself was no longer able to pull through the hair that was on the brush bristles and I had to untangle my hair from the grip and start over, making this brush useless even if I could stand the pain of hair pulling. This is one of those items QVC didn’t quite think through, as professional stylists are much more likely to purchase this at a cheaper price from beauty supply stores and most of us everyday gals are likely to return it and rate it poorly, which won’t reflect well on T3, because it doesn’t work for everyday home styling. This is literally the BEST round brush I have used! Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. People are saying that the bristles hurt their scalp and that the rubber part pulls on their hair…I’m honestly quite confused. That’s definitely user error. Obviously you can tell that’s it going to be a little scratchy by looking at it and touching it, so not sure why it’s such a shock to so many. Also, how hard are you touching your scalp with the brush? It shouldn’t hurt that bad…I feel the bristles on my scalp but not enough to be in pain and leave a bad review. And the handle getting tangled and pulling hair? Um, how?? I never had an issue with hair getting caught in the handle…not sure how hair would end up there if you’re using it correctly. The sharp bristles are my favorite part about this brush. I like a good scratchy bristle on my scalp. I can see how a previous reviewer said it’s perfect for her bangs because bangs are in the front of your face and generally away from other hair that could get caught in the handle. If you’re using this for your whole head like me and have got a lot of hair, your hair may get caught on the rubber handle. The handle feels awesome and is nice and squishy to hold which makes it feel better when you’re pulling your hair taut with the brush, you don’t feel like you’re going to have blisters when you’re done so that part is nice. But the rubber grip is like flubber… although it’s attached to my hand, it also attaches my hair to it and I don’t have the time or energy to keep unraveling my hair out of the brush so that it doesn’t get pulled out. If this brush had a wooden handle I would keep it. Sadly even though my other brushes don’t feel as good on my scalp, I think I’ll have to deal with them until I find one that is a game changer. I've bought 3 of these brushes for medium hair in the last 2 yrs. I really like it, the bristles massage your scalp, removes tangles safely on wet or dry hair. Until it snaps on the bottom middle area. 1st brush thought i got the wrong type for my hair texture. 2nd brush thought I broke it. 3rd brush? The brush could be great. the price point isn't that bad if it was a quality brush. I even have 2 other OG brushes that are still in tip top shape. Seems to be a common complaint too. This brush worked great for the first approximately 3 months, when it cracked and broke on one side. I fixed it as best as I could with some super strong tape, and then the other side cracked and broke about 3 weeks later. Fixed it in the same way. Worked for about a month when it cracked in the middle, and broke away from the paddle. In short, the brush broke completely in half in about 6 months. My hair is somewhat thick, not too long, and tangles easily. This brush did really well detangling, but if it's so flimsy that I have to continuously replace it, there is no point in buying another. I have thick hair that's styled into a bob and I have been using a normal hairbrush to style my hair for the longest time. I finally ordered this hairbrush because I wasn't getting the results I wanted from a normal brush and I am so happy! I am actually able to "roll" my hair and it doesn't hurt! My hair doesn't tangle either when I use a rolling motion with this brush. It does heat up so you have to be careful but so far I haven't been burned or anything. The detachable parting tool is also a bonus that I enjoy. For reference, I bought the 1.3" brush and it's perfect for my above-shoulder length hair. If your hair is shorter and close to your jawline, I recommend buying the smaller sizes
I have never used a blow out brush so I was not sure how easy or hard this was going to be to use. This small round brush seemed to work really well for small sections of hair. I absolutely love the pin that is located inside the bottom of the brush. You pull this pin and you run it through sections of your hair to get nice even sections with less mess. I noticed this brush was great for my bangs and sides even though all of my hair is one length. It was great for these areas because it gave me lift and volume where I needed it the most. Some great points I found are this brush is its very lightweight which is super important since your arms up in the air for such a long period of time. The bristles even though kind of tough on the bare hand are very gentle on the scalp almost massaging. I loved that I noticed when using this my hair stayed straight longer and it has so much less frizz. I did notice that the barrel can get a bit hot when used for extended time. I’m a senior with fine lifeless hair that has never been able to hold any kind of hair clip. Also, as often happens with age it’s now thinning too. I keep my hair short and use the brush to style my hair when I’m drying it with my hairdryer. Naturally, it only takes a couple of nanoseconds for my hair to dry and the brush gives me a bit of lift which is all I expect. Just got this delivered and was thinking it was a gimmick, I'll probably send it back. But I read the directions and gave it a try. Was I shocked. I have very fine hair, that is thinning as well ( even with supplements, I fight genes and low calorie diet, winter shedding, thyroid problems and senior texture, etc ) so I carefully applied the brush. It felt good, as I massaged my scalp. It didn't tangle my long hair. In fact, even with winter dry air – there was no static. After 5 minutes of a circular motion, my hair looked like it was blown dry! It had a shine and " fluffy " appearance. I was using a wet/dry brush in the past- also touted as a gentle tool, but always had to clean the brush of all the fuzz and broken hairs. I look forward to using this new product daily, as I was careful not to brush my hair too often ( because of the breakage). I have mid length fine hair, but a lot of it. I used this in the shower with my shampoo and then conditioner. I had difficulty getting this through my hair. The bristles are too short for me and had trouble trying to move this through my hair from top to bottom. It did remove some hair which would always happen when I wash my hair. I have used this on my dry hair, and it is difficult to use. I feel that short haired people would enjoy this. I will keep to use on my cats. I can put one on each hand and brush each cat – almost like they are getting a massage as well. I can't return because I threw out the boxes. I initially purchased this brush for me because I do have issues with thinning hair. After using, I discovered how gentle and the massaging feel, I used on my 21 yr old cat & my 2 legged kitty. Both are very sensitive to stroking motions on their back and sides, but this brush was absolutely amazing for them. The long hair also easily detangles so no pulling. Also, because its washable, those less than clean areas are easily de-matted and the brush is easy to clean. One other comment, the kitties seem to like the idea of bristles in my hand as compared to the regular handle brush prior used. I have purchased 3 brushes over the years, but NO MORE. They used to be fabulous but have now gone CHEAP! The bristles are thinner, flimsy, so it dangles and pulls my long hair, and the tips fall off. I broke my first brush but have gone back to using because it's so much better than the new ones even though its broken. I looked at them side by side, huge difference, quality going down with each purchase after the first. Tips fell of the 2nd brush, thought I just got a lemon, and the 3rd is horrible, I have only used twice, pulls my hair so bad. I wish I could have tested out in the store because I would not have made the 3rd purchase. My sister purchased as well, she thought they were too expensive, but I said worth every dime BUT NOW told her, DONT BUY OTHER ONE! GONE CHEAP! Would not recommend!Dee
I am obsessed with this brush. That's no exaggeration! I have long, thick hair and this brush has been a God send! The curved shape and flexibility feels like it grips your head as you brush and gives you a feeling similar to those popular scalp massagers. It being vented is also great for blowdrying. And the little hidden parting tool that can be pulled out and flipped around when needed is just the icing on the cake. I have seen quite a few reviews say this brush broke but if you buy the right size for your hair as well as brush from the ends to the root like you're supposed to there will be zero issues. I am using this brush in my daughter's hair which is long and wavy. It is amazing to painlessly get out the knots. This is the only place online I could get it in pink. I have tried the Popular mix in her hair but I could not detangle with that. I also tried the wide comb but it was time consuming and painful. This brush takes care of her knots in a jiffy and it really looks smooth and shiny! I have also tried this brush in my other daughter's hair which is long and straight. The nylon bristles are a bit softer than other M/P brushes, as was expected; if you have hair that tangles, this brush is for you. The hair on the top and back of my head gets very tangled, especially when the hair has just been washed; it’s a breeze to wash the hair now & run the brush through it. Because Ulta likes to inflate my low ratings, let me preface this by saying I'm giving 2 stars. My hair is type 4, almost bra strap length, medium-high density and coarseness, and high shrinkage. This is an okay brush for detangling lower density hair, I think. I find that it can go through the ends pretty well. It works good on my thin/broken off areas, but it struggles to get through the fuller, higher density areas. Especially the roots. I have to section too much to get anywhere and I still feel resistance. Hair is the weakest when wet, so I'm hesitant to use much force. I think the teeth are too short and too stiff. I know the original Ultimate Detangler has more flexible teeth, and that there's a bigger one with more surface area, but there aren't any with longer teeth as far as I know. And having longer teeth is what would make it able to get through thicker sections easier. Brushes like the Wet Brush are the only brushes that go through my hair comfortably in the shower. Because they're so flexible and don't cause resistance, I don't have to worry about them ripping through my hair and can detangle pretty carelessly and without having to see what I'm doing. I think it'd work well for defining and smoothing in product on hair that's already been detangled, but it's marketed as a detangling tool, so that's how I'm judging it.Eoness
I used this Tangle Teaser brush on soaking wet hair with TGIN Miracle deep conditioner, and let me tell you this brush slipped through my hair like butter! I have 4C hair that is a huge chore to detangle. I had been using a wide tooth comb on soaking wet hair slathered with conditioner and my hair STILL was tough to detangle– BUT THIS BRUSH just glided through my hair so easily. I KNOW that if I had been using this brush to detangle all along I could have saved so much hair that's been ripped out in the past. The tangle Teaser also made my curls pop as I was using it- and that definitely wasn't happening when I detangled my hair with my wide tooth comb! I took off a star because even though it detangles the hair so well, using the brush is like holding a wet noodle because it's so slippery. They need to add a textured silicone grip on the handle, and/or make the handle with an oblong hole cut out in the middle of it so you can stick your hand in the hole and hold on to the brush while you detangle your hair.NJ1
This review is for people who struggle to brush their hair. I have extremely thick hair and have always struggled to untangle the massive knots I get, to the point where I'd just avoid brushing my hair all together and wear it up almost every day. I'm really pleased with how gently and effectively this product removes tangles without damage. It's a beautiful hairbrush and seems really durable. The bristles are kind of rough which I feel helps to stimulate your scalp, so if you are more sensitive to scalp pain I wouldn't recommend this product unless you're very gentle with it. Take note that you cannot use this product with heat, which is no issue for me as I never use heat on my hair. 10/10 recommend this product for people like me with similar hair concerns/ issues!Ceci

I have bleached, fragile, fine 2c curly hair and have avoided hair brushes for years because they made my curls look terrible. I recently decided to undertake a new curl method that includes brushing my hair, so I ordered this brush. it's so gentle! I have a sensitive scalp and usually have to gingerly brush my hair. I did not have to do this with this brush. I normally brush when my hair is soaking wet, per new method, but I brushed my hair while dry to prepare for bleaching it and it made my hair feel silky smooth, which has never happened before with a brush. I was in such awe and couldn't stop touching my hair. It's never felt like that before. Usually when I brush my hair dry I look like I've been electrocuted. I have fine, thick, wavy/curly hair to the middle of my back. It can be an absolute nightmare to detangle, and I really wanted to love this product. I guess it did an okay job at detangling? But I had abnormal amounts of shedding during the few weeks that I used this brush and I'm pretty sure it caused some breakage (more than what is normal for my hair) too. It was also more difficult to hold onto this brush than I anticipated since it doesn't have a handle. After a third or fourth time dropping it onto the floor, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and bought a Wet brush instead, which has worked a lot better for me. My hair had a 2" growing spurt which brought it down past my belt line this year. Learning how to brush this wavy mess has been a slow process! I have tried a ton of different "no pull" and "detangle" brushes from drug store to premier brands and this is this first brush she not only lets me use, but likes. She's 6 1/2 and has never cut her hair so it is quite long. I bought the 855. I've only used it once, but so far I'm happy with it. You can tell it's of good quality materials. Haven't had the problems with the bristles falling out that I noticed in other reviews — but again I just got it. I have quite thick, coarse, and voluminous hair and it definitely holds on tight and gets through it without damaging it or ripping it like most brushes. And, it doesn't add frizz like other products I've used. My only complaint is the handle, which I wish was thicker or had a better grip on it. Kind of hurts my hand to use it after a while.F
I ordered the large brush. The brush looks great especially the finely carved handle (Italian craftmenship what else can you ask for?). The large size is also great for long hair because it can glide through more easily with the extra long bristles. This brush is also static free which is nice because I got very long and dry hair. The ONLY thing I don't like with this brush is that the bristles keep on falling out during the first 3 to 4 times that I used it. It is still falling out but less now. I did not expect any bristles to fall out because it is made in Italy. I wanted to return it but can't deal with all the hassels.Lafirebird

I love this brush so much! I was hesitant to spend so much on a brush, particularly a travel sized version. But I actually really enjoy the smaller size because it is easier to take with me on the go and I can more easily target smaller sections of hair (e.g. bangs, flyaways at my roots). I can still use it to brush my long hair, it just takes a little more time than if I were to use a full sized brush. The bristles are firm but soft, help to smooth my frizz and add incredible softness and shine to my bleached hair. The brush itself has a nice weight to it and is absolutely beautiful to look at (pictures do not do it justice!). Definitely a luxury item but if you are thinking of splurging, I really don't think you'd be disappointed!melanie.s
