I recently bought this bike and it runs perfectly. I've rode it non-stop for the past couple of days around my area and the bike honestly feels great for me. The bars are quite large but that will take a few days to get used to, (supposing you are coming from < 740mm). The pedaling required to get moving is not bad at all, the gearing is tuned just right to where it feels not too easy & not too hard to pedal. Assembling this bike was very easy as you only really have to apply simple parts such as: Seat, Handlebars, Pedals, etc. The tools needed for the main bolts come with the bike too, which is quite handy! The only downside I can say about the actual box contents of the bike is that the back wheel was slightly out of place when I went to ride it. I assume this is down to postal services causing damage to the box during transport but it's nothing to worry about. The back brake was catching on the rotor but all it took was to loosen the wheel and realign the rotor in-between the pads for the caliper. During my first few hours of riding this bike there was quite a few creeks coming from the bike but that was because it was adjusting to me actually riding the bike for the first time. They eventually died down and they rarely occur at all now. (Rode the bike for approx. 3 days~)Summary during my experience of riding: The tires are perfect too as they allow for sharper turns since the width is 2.5". The seat is not too hard but doesn't cause any issues. Handlebar grips are very good, even in wet conditions. The brake lever is aligned to my preference out of the box, although I had to change the position of where it was located to make it easier to reach. Rims and frame feel quite durable. The long seat post allows you to choose many heights that you comfortable fine with. One last thing to note. The bike looks visually good in person and my friends have commented on it looking great as well. I plan on changing a few parts on the bike towards the future so that I can customize it slightly. I won't be doing this for a while though as I honestly think it is great how it is at the moment.liarmi_64

So, I have had this bike for a few weeks now. It is a ton of fun to ride. I am a big guy 5'11' and 330 lbs. The frame and tires are very sturdy. The bike was very easy to finish the assembly out of the box. It may require some fine tuning to get the wheels properly centered and the derailleur working 100%. That stuff is pretty easy to do. The gear shift is a twist shift. So, if you have large hands like myself it can be a bit of an issue. My issue with the twist shift is that I felt like I couldn't really hold the right grip with my full hand without shifting the gears. I swapped it out for a thumb shifter, replaced the grips, and bought a gel seat. After those mods, it is quite comfortable to ride. The only complaint I have about the bike really is that it is free wheel, not a cassette. So, if you want to swap out the gears on the bike, the choices are somewhat limited unless you replace the rear wheel as well. Overall, it is a great bike for the money. I would highly recommend it.Mike
The bike is awesome, rides so smooth, I don't feel any bumps. And it looks so cool! The right pedal screwed onto the crank by hand with ease. The left side pedal threading, or the threading in the crank, was stripped. I was able to get it on, but it's crooked. So it might not last long. I need the left crank and pedal replaced. The gears switch easily, and are smooth. However, the lowest gear won't stay in gear, just continues to skip. Not a big deal for me, cause I love in Florida and there's no hills, so I won't need to be using the lowest gear. Overall, I'm super happy with the bike. I'm not impressed with Mongoose's QA, because there's been a lot of people complaining about the pedals stripping when attaching to the crank, and eventually breaking. I would give a 4 1/2 but ill stick with 5 than 4, I love fat bikes, especially when people ask me questions or comments about my bike but I gotta say sometimes it gets annoying and I think i’m the only one in my city who has a fat bike, you better lock this up good tho, get a bike alarm too and you’ll be good to go! But how it handles in the snow and dirt…AMAZING! I would reccomend this bike especially when you order from pick up, I hope it lasts me the whole winter, when I picked it up I had to adjust a few things but other than that, Great! I added a few things on my bike like some Bright Lights, rear basket, tailights, Bell, Bike alarm, and 3 locks, I’m gonna keep upgrading, Along with taking care of the bike, since it can be hard on bumps, I slow down during bumpy roads and railroad tracks so I don’t wreck the axle and the bering, I limit down the Shifting depending on the terrain or weather, light braking as well. So I so hope this bike can last long or at least as long as until winter, I sometimes hate when bikes are sensitive, but you get them fixed I suppose, I’m an everyday rider and I get my bikes fixed 24/7 because they ain’t worth anything. So hopefully this bike isn’t one of them! I would recommend this bike if you can take care of it, in some ways Mongoose has the worst bikes I’ll admit that, but in ways you can make it the best if you take care of it. This is my first e-bike after a lifetime of riding traditional bikes. Here are my thoughts, hopefully, they help you. Pros: Because of the step through design, this is one of the few economy e-bikes that allow for shorter riders. I am 5"3 and I am comfortable with it's size. This bike has both a throttle feature and Pedal ASsist Modes. PAS modes can be customized from the 3 options available, change be changed to 5, 7, or 9 modes. You can customize the high end speeds on each PAS mode. The walking mode is nice when pushing bike uphill The horn and lights are a great bonus. Seat is cushy and comfy, which is great since it's custom to the bike and changing it would be a pain to remove the battery. Assembly was easy and straight forward. Cons: The bike is heavy, especially with it's battery. Because of the frame design, a standard bike rack will not work. I had to purchase a hitch-mounted rack because of this as well as the weight. If you are under 5'2, or with lower core strength, this bike can be tough to maneuver around, balance at stops and lift on a rack. Be aware there are two computer version on these bikes. Some bikes will only access the throttle while in PAS mode 0, and others (like mine) you can opt to use the throttle in any of the PAS modes. Overall, I am loving my bike (and hitch mount setup I had to purchase to travel with it). Even my 75 yr old father purchased this bike after riding mine. I find I am really able to customize my ride in new ways with the HeyBike. I'm currntly riding as far as I can, testing my endurance, and then using the PAS or throttle on the way back.Stevie
I love this bike so much and highly recommend making this purchase. As a 5’1” woman, it still fits me fine with the seat all the way down. Anyone taller would definitely just fit better. Totally a one-size-fits-all with the adjustable seat! I was looking for something that had the option to be an all-electric bike, all manual with gears, or pedal assist. This bike has it ALL. It’s exactly what I wanted. On the pedal-assist option, there are 3 speeds … watch out, the fastest one FLIES! On the all-electric option, you can control how much “help” you want with the throttle or just hold down the throttle for an effortless ride. On the manual bike option, you can shut off all the electronic controls and shift between 7 gears. Other features I love are the loud car-like horn, the insanely bright lights for night riding, the INCREDIBLY LONG battery life, and the comfy, cushy seat. I tested this bike out on a 10-mile mountain trail for one of my first rides. I’ll be honest; it’s probably more of a road bike. But through rocks, leaves, mud, dirt, sand, water, huge roots, and very steep slopes, this bike held up beautifully. (The few slips I had were user errors!) It doesn’t take too long to charge and I’d guess it would probably take a day of riding to completely drain, although I haven’t drained it to zero battery yet. The bike is so beautiful… the brown leather handlebars are very comfortable to grip, and the rack on the back is a great extra touch too. In summary, I can’t think of enough good things to say about my Heybike! For half the price of some of its counterparts, it’s just as good, and a really amazing, high-quality e-bike! Ordered the Heybike Cityscape Saturday 10/08/2022 9 pm arrived 10/11/2022 2pm thanks Wal-Mart Assembly was easy, took about 45 minutes total. Most time spent was removing Styrofoam wrappings. Not a scratch on the bike, very well packaged. Got to test ride this afternoon 10/12/2022. This bike is amazing, rode over 9 miles and battery still has all the charge bars. It will do 20 mph on flat, but at age 74 really enjoy the first setting pedal assist cruise at 9 mph. If you miss your youthful years enjoying bike riding this model is for you. The bike is great. Super smooth ride thanks to the large tires and suspension components. I use the bike to run errands and not so much for long rides so Im constantly in pedal assist 5. It provides a few days of local (5 miles radius of my home) errands on a single charge. It is larger than anticipated which is good and bad but in the end entirely my lack of research. The bike is most definitely full sized+ and rides as such so you don't feel like you're on a tiny folding bike. Keep that in mind though for storage and/or hauling purposes that it is def a large bike. Only a large car will be able to fit in the trunk or back seat while folded. A wagon or SUV would be necessary. Overall for my purposes I'd purchase again all things considered. A person wanting to venture further might want a lighter bike with skinnier tires as it is a big pedaling through cement should you find your battery empty a long way from home.Chris
I am very happy with my Rattan LM750. I purchased the bike a little over 2 months ago and I get regular use out of it. I love the folding features and the power is surprising from an electric rear hub motor. I'm turning 35 this year but this bike takes me back about 20 years. Haha I am having an issue with my battery but Erin at Electric Boarding Company is helping with the process and I feel pretty confident that I will be able to get a new one (under warranty) quickly and be back on the road soon.Archie W.

Without a doubt this is the worst most poorly built bicycle I have ever owned. In short, it is just a piece of junk. The bike arrived with one handlebar protruding from the box and there were scratches on the paint in many places. I would have returned it, but I found it easier and less expensive to sell it, and I'm glad I did. I replaced it with a mountain bike made by Schwinn, which is a lovely, well-made and easy to ride machine. I will never buy another Huffy product.Good riddance

Jetson presents a very nicely packaged product that upon inspection is built with quality parts and craftsmanship. The bolt electric bike is everything it claims to be, but in my case not quite everything i hoped it could be. This is not in any way a negative reflection on the Bike, i just had unreasonable expectations that this bike would handle all of my 240lbs. The bike was unboxed and put together with tires aired up in 15 minutes, we placed it on the charger over night. In the morning i put it to the test that i was hoping it would exceed or meet my expectations, i have a commute to my office this is about a mile , long enough i don't want to walk, short enough it's a hassle to load into a car and drive, and just right for an alternative commuting option. I got myself familiar with the controls on the handle bars, i had forgotten it was equipped with cruise control, a very nice touch for the longer excursions that are going to be uninterrupted by intersections and other traffic, and got underway on my commute, my travel into the office began nicely and was everything i hoped it would be, 15 mph is a comfortable pace, there were times i wished it had a little more speed, but i think it's wise given the short wheel base and the physics at play to keep it limited to this speed. I successfully navigated the first half of the commute that was down neighborhood asphalt streets with very light traffic, I waited at the intersection traffic light for the crosswalk to allow me to cross the more heavily travelled four lane road, and got on my way down a commuter sidewalk, as i came up behind an older woman walking she had no idea i was quickly approaching, i thought it best to let her know of my presence before i blew past her on my silent ride, without shouting i said, "on your left" but despite my attempts not to startle, because this bike is so silent my voice coming from seemingly nowhere still made her jump, i understand the necessity of the bell attached to the handle bars. I needed to know offroad capabilities of this bike because my commute is considerably short if i cut through a vacant lot, I immediately found out this was not ideal for the bike and even grassy fields give it some trouble. I arrived at work with no further incident and felt quite positive about the bike. The return commute was what did the bike in for me, although slight there is an incline on the way home and this combined with my weight made the bike almost crawl on the way home.robw8s1
The Bolt Electric Bike came in well packaged and it was fast to assemble to get it ready. The battery had some charge but I charged it anyway, just so you know, the instructions clearly say not to charge it overnight since it might take about five hours to fully charge it. We took turns to ride it around and getting familiar with it prior to downloading the app. But if you do have smaller kids, should download the app to set a top speed, you can customize it to five or six to get familiar with it. The bike can handle up to 250 pounds so just keep in mind the heavier the person the less range the battery will have. The lighter the person the faster it picks up too. I do like that it does have a cruise control, so you do not have to keep holding the throttle all the time. Another thing I like is the battery indicator from one light to all, each light indicates how well the battery is charged. The bike does fit in my SUV easy by folding the handle bar. The bike weights about 40 lbs so it is not hard to lift and carry around. The bike has a front and back light for visibility and they work great. Overall I like how the bike looks and feels, best of all of good value. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.AngelM33
This is a great product for kids and teens. I am 200 lbs and it struggled to get me up a very slight incline. I don’t think it would move with 250 lbs on any incline. It would not get me or my kids up our driveway which is a more aggressive incline. There are definitely streets and sidewalks this bike will not travel up. Most of them it will but some slower than others. I was going just fast enough to not have to put my feet down to catch myself on a slight incline. My kids 13 & 14 years old had no problem. The bike doesn’t go that fast, we have a scooter that goes faster but it does get you from point A to point B. My kids love it and it’s size is more suitable for children. There are no peddles so even on the steeper inclines you can not assist nor peddle if the battery dies, your stuck walking. It is easy to charge and is light weight and compact. Travel to the beach or other places is very easy with the size and the handle bars coming loose to fit inside your vehicle. It will fit inside a cars trunk easily. It’s great for children but not adults or heavier children. I would purchase another one for my other child. It will be great for them to go to the neighborhood pool and to take to the beach for them to travel the campgrounds. Overall happy with the purchase.JDP1982

probably have to tinker with it a little to get it just so, the seat… probably needs a better one… if u value your assets, tighten ALL the fitting on it with the appropriate size wrench (u do have tools, yes? ) I will probably get a CHEAP/WIDE $5 inner tube, cut the valve stem out of it and use it as a tread/tube liner so that thorns do not puncture the tire/tube; put it between the inner tube that is in there and the BACK tire… as I wud any bike as thorns are prevalent here and fixing 7 flats in 3 days because I was CHEAP and didn't get the HEVI WATE INNER TUBES on my last NEW bike was …. and education to do IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME so I didn't have to do it again… and again and again. SLIME is hard to get into the tires through the NARROW hole in the air thingy even with the Schrader valve removed. LOCKS, U LOCKS AND HEVI WATE CHAIN… if u want to keep the bike; as sometimes they ride off by themselves if left anywhere. cable "locks" are ornaments (don't ask how I KNOW this) and not worth throwing out. some gearheads have taken the bearings apart and greased them and have said they are tightened TOO TIGHT from the factory, but DO NOT LOSE THE BEARINGS!!! carpet catches bearings, hard floors=scattered bearings=bad. tires are said to be HEAVY compared to after market, but that is not all bad as once get the tires rolling… INERTIA KEEPS THEM ROLLING with a little effort so that is good. like kicking the clutch out on a BIG TRUCK on the highway… it will coast a LONG WAY with all that weigh/inertia built up in its mass/wheels/tires.18LiterDETROITDIESEL
First of all, it sure is a slap in the face to see the price drop $17 just two weeks after I got it. Now then, my experience has been much the same as other reviews. It is a barely "OK" bike, I guess for the money nowadays. It is built and billed as a "Mountain Bike" which is the furthest thing I intend to use it for. From what I gather, you would have to add another zero to the price to get a genuine, usable mountain bike. I am 68 years old wanting to get some exercise. And when I saw this Fat Tire bike, I had to have it. It is the closest I have seen to the old (even then) bike I had as a kid in the fifties and sixties. I will probably end up spending as much extra to make the bike marginally usable, as the bike cost to start with. It is in the shop right now and I'm not doing that much yet. The seat if terrible. The brakes, we'll have to see after they are adjusted right. I have a new seat ready to put on when I get it back. I had the shop put on a steering riser (probably not right term) to raise the handlebars. Keeping original bar for now but may have to replace that too. And replacing the brake levers. If the brakes don't improve (a lot!!) I'll either replace them, or sell the whole bike and get something else. I even got new pedals. The reflectors on the original pedals break off easily. The shifter is a PITA because it wants to change as you are gripping the bar. It should have been a lever or something. And high gear is not even as high as my old single speed. What good is THAT? I guess what it boils down to is that it is impossible to buy a Fat Tire Mountain Bike for $200 that is not a joke even for just plain riding down the street, let alone riding in the mountains.Tinman98
Due to its tubular steel frame, the 26 inch Mongoose Dolomite seven speed fat bicycle is heavier than 26 inch fat bicycles constructed of aluminium or carbon fiber. However, a new aluminium fat bicycle frames will cost no less than $900.00; carbon fiber fat bicycle frames prices start at about $2,000. As a direct result of the enormous price difference I decided to purchase the Dolomite just to try out a fat bicycle with the full entention of purchasing a far more expensive model if I enjoyed the larger design. I was surprisingly blown away! The Dolomite had arrived at my front door in only two days. I discovered assembly to be rather simple, but as a safety measure I walked the Dolomite ten blocks to my neighbourhood bicycle repair store for an overall examination; at the bicycle shop both disc brakes were properly calibrated, grease was added to the handle bar support collar, a water bottle cage was placed onto the frame, tires were inflated to proper pressure and then were placed in their recommended rotational direction. Finally, the seat pole was adjusted to a safe and comfortable height. I paid my service charge, quickly place my helmet on and then brought my bicycle onto the New York City streets. The ride was so comfortable due to the large amount of inflated rubber between the road bed and the large 4 inch rims. In addition, at slow speeds and at accelerated speeds the tires are constantly providing exceptional traction; I remained in full control of the bicycle as I effortlessly floated above the New York City man hole covers, large steel plate covers, pot holes and the ubiquitous sewer drainage grids. The weight of the bicycle is an attribute when descending steep hills, but when ascending hills be prepared to pump vigorously. The gears do shift rather accurately to their corresponding numbers, but not the smoothest shift. Due to its price, aesthetics, quality of design and durability I strongly recommend the Mongoose Dolomite Men's 7 Speed Bicycle.JNemorin
