Been using Nice n Easy light brown 6N permanent for about 7-8 years now and was really happy with the natural look it gave and people were so surprised if i ever mentioned that I dyed it! Now though have tried the new version over last couple of months experimenting with 6 and 6.5 and not only do they not cover as well but both have a subtle reddidsh tinge – a give away sign of hair dye! In fact for the first time ever somebody asked if I've been dying my hair as they could see the reddish tint in the light. Not only that the metal tube is difficult to use and you can't always get it all out. I don't get that they are adding conditioners at very step – it goes against the whole nature of dying hair – if you have conditioner on the colour doesn't take – simple as that! I have been using Nice and Easy for almost 30 years… I started dying my hair when I was 26.. Everyone,including my hairdresser told me that the color was so natural, he couldn’t believe it was colored and especially that I did it myself. I used 118, which is now just 5, Medium Brown. The color was so natural and my hair was shiny with beautiful natural looking highlights… Now they changed the formula and the color is awful! I’ve dyed my hair three times since they changed the formula and each time, the new growth comes out with what I call “hot roots”, which means all the new growth is a hot red! I thought it was a rare fluke the first time, but it’s happened two more times..they made the new formula smell nice, but the color is not the same and besides the red roots, the color lost that natural highlight look and instead looks darker and one dimensional and muddy. I’ve been a licensed colorist for 25 years. I decided to give this a try because I’ve developed allergies to ammonia and PPD. There was zero odor, it did tingle a little on my scalp, but not too bad. Go with Excellence. I normally use L’Oréal Excellence but decided to tried something different and tried Preference in same shade I usually use in dark ash brown. Well, Excellence does a better job… Preference faded and washed out from my gray roots. I had to do a double take to make sure I used permanent dye. Well it was! I have partial gray areas I use the dye to cover. I don’t recall having this issue w/ Excellence. If you have gray you’re looking to cover, go with Excellence. I was looking to color my hair auburn which is exactly what this product did. I had medium brown virgin hair with a few grey's. I would suggest to apply the product to the middle and ends of your hair for 15 minutes and only apply to roots for maybe seven minutes. I did get some hot roots in a small patch near the front of my hairline. I will be googling and youtubing how to correct that spot. I would definitely not keep it on my roots for the full 10 minutes the box suggests. There is not alot of multidimension color but there is definitely color change from my medium brown. I think that the product doesn't need to be as strong as it is. I don't know a ton about color, but this company should maybe use a less harsh developer? They are trying to appeal to a large audience, but they are just messing up alot of people haircoloring experience. I read alot of the reviews beforehand so I knew that my hair would go auburn. I thought the product was magnificent. The one application was enough to cover my entire head from root to end and when my hair is wet it lands on my shoulders and I have naturally curly hair. I bought this product because 5RC on the box said LIGHT copper brown. When I googled it, it of course comes up with MEDIUM copper brown. I dyed my hair thinking it would be the color swatch that was on the shelves at Sally's. I used a color remover to remove my old color and get it ready for a light copper brown. To my shock after using that treatment twice and getting ready to dye it with the light color, it came out exactly as this color showing on this page So I used all this treatment on my hair to remove a dark color only to have another dark color. I purchased the color "Dark Navy" hoping to achieve a deep blue color and it did exactly that ! As you can see on my before pic, I had bleached and stained blue hair from previously using semi-permanent blue dye, as well as dark blonde brassy roots regrowth. This hair dye is super easy to use! I love how it's just like shampooing your hair. I got the color soft greige because I wanted to slightly darken my washed out tips. However, because my hair was already pretty dark, this color lightened my natural black-brown hair and got rid of the brassiness from my previously dyed ends. I don't know if the majority of these reviews were paid reviewers but this product does not do what it says! I have tried it twice now, thinking maybe the first time was a mistake, but both times it did not cover my grays. I am 31 and only have about 5 to 6 gray hairs but they are right in the front of my face, so very noticeable. I have been dyeing my hair since 16 so I'm a seasoned vet when it comes to box dye and wanted to try something new. If you are just looking for a new color and not to cover grays I give it a 4 because the color is fine and it is quick and easy but I bought it to specifically cover my gray hairs and both times it did NOT do that.Yogi
so I have been dying my own hair for over 15 years and I'm practically a pro at it with any brand. I always use an ash (dark or medium) brown, which prevents hair from ever turning brassy. Ash is the opposite of brassy tones. So I decided to try this brand in medium ash brown. The picture on the box showed an ash brown color. So I left the dye on 10 minutes as instructed. And this horrible dye changed my brown hair (which has about 10% greys) to a brassy blonde color!!! You should never get a brassy result from ash and you should never get blonde hair from a medium brown. I even double checked to make sure they had sent me the right color I had ordered, and they had. This dye is the worst ever. Do Not Buy. Never had any dye screw up my hair like this with totally false advertising of what the color will be. It actually looked like I had used bleach on my hair and lightened it. I've used Natural Instincts in the orange box for 15+ at least. It was dependable, consistent, and user friendly as a liquid. This change to something "natural" (impossible – it's DYE!) is such a bad decision on this company's part, that I cannot believe anyone would make such a drastic deterioration on what was working for decades. Let me guess – the person or persons who changed the formula to one that does not dye hair, but stains skin, leaves an ugly clownish orange where rich brown had previously resulted, is technically a mess to mix adequately, drips instead of staying put like the old formula – is/are someone who 1) doesn't personally use the product 2) doesn't particularly care whether 15+ years of loyal customer satisfaction matters 3) is probably not a woman with limited time to care for herself in the midst of tackling a myriad of daily family care and professional life 4) probably has money to throw away. And you know the worst thing about the new formula? It DOESN'T COLOR HAIR! It would be nice if Clairol (Coty) would please provide the name of their nearest competitor on the shelf so we could get a crack at returning to our personal appearance routine and get on with life. This is the first time I have ever used a Clairol hair dye and I have to say this Age Defy one is the best I have ever used. I love the serum you put on your dry hair before applying the dye, it somehow makes you feel like to are putting a protective balm on to protect your hair from the chemicals in the dye. It felt a bit weird as i've never done anything like this before dying my hair. The actual dye mixed well and was thick in consistency..so no slopping it all over the place and later on finding random dye all over the place!! I left it on for slightly longer than the recommended time..I like to know it's hitted all those greys. It has no amonia so you don't have that horrible smell you get with some dyes and I found that after rinsing out and applying the conditioner my hair once dry was amazingly shiny. This was my first time using Age Defy so was looking forward to seeing how it compared to other home hair colouring products. I liked the fact it'll cover all my stubborn gray hairs, lasting up to 8 weeks, whilst also nourishing and smoothing my hair. The box had clear instructions and was informative so was easy to follow. The product was straight forward to apply and my hair felt really shiny and healthy after use. First you have to apply a Pre treatment serum which was easy to use and a nice touch as it was different to any other product I've used before. The Rich permanent colour you had to mix with the activating cream, came in a foil tube which I wasn't a fan of as it was hard to squeeze all the cream out. Once mixed with the Activating cream, the consistency was good, and it applied well with no drips. It had a nice floral smell to it too so wasn't unpleasant like some dyes. Note, I have medium shoulder-length hair and I would say one bottle is enough to covers short to medium hair, so if you have long hair, you may want to get more than one box. The CC+ colourseal conditioning therapy I found you didn't need much and it left my hair silky and soft. This also had a light floral smell so my hair smelt lovely too. Overall the coverage was very good and covered all my grey hairs. The colour was natural looking and I loved the smell and how soft it made my hair. Really impressed with this. I bought 7 Dark Blonde after a particularly bad 'balayage' job (mostly awful white/yellow highlights) and the colour has come out exactly as it's shown on the box. I still had my natural light brown roots and this has blended really well after being on for 20 minutes. It's obviously not the colour I wanted when I set out trying to be lighter with the initial balayage attempt, but it has rescued my hair from that disaster, and at least I can leave the house again without a hat! It's in no way very dark, and as it's a semi dye it will fade and the lighter colours will come through again a bit more in time. If you're despairing about a terrible blonde dye job and want to get back to a dark blonde/lighter brown then this is for you. I did use a purple shampoo on my hair a few days before I used the dye, although I'm not sure how much difference it made to this outcome. This dye seems to have redder tones to it after application which might freak you out initially, but it settles and blends. It does give good coverage, and the blonde comes through with subtle tones, so don't use it if you want to still be mainly a light blonde colour, you will most likely be the colour on the box. If you're looking for something to just tone down yellow brassiness then I don't think this will be for you, as I think it will initially cover your blonde. As ever, it's good to do a patch test if you're not sure you'll like the final results.Anna
I have been using this brand haircolor for years, trying different shades. I recently went through chemo therapy and lost all my hair. Since it’s grown back in its come in with a lot of grey. I have naturally medium brown hair. It is in excellent condition and thought I would color it with this new formula. So many reviews state the new formula is not as good as the old, I love the new formula. No burning on application, no hot roots, more even coverage. Many reviews also stated that the sheets are much darker than reflected on the box. For this reason I purchased suede light brown. It is so dark! Thankfully I don’t mind dark hair on myself. This is the only negative. My hair feels so soft and fluffy. And it was great at covering my greys! I will definitely purchase again. I used to color my hair with Clairol Natural Instincts about 10 years ago and never had an issue. With a special event coming up I decided to freshen my hair up with some color. Upon reading the instructions it seemed as if the product had improved since I last used it. I bought two packages, but one bottle covered my shoulder-length hair just fine. However, after applying and rinsing out the product as instructed, I noticed that my hair didn't feel very good. Back in the day it used to leave my hair super silky and soft, like a model in a shampoo commercial. But the real horror happened after I dried my hair and realized that the color I got was NOT the color on the box! I selected #4 dark brown to get a Hersheys dark chocolate color. Instead my hair came out looking like kona coffee grounds in water (aka, almost black). It looks completely unnatural and now I'm trying to desperately get it to wash out early. (In the shower for the first wash since coloring, my hair felt like even more of a bird's nest than when I rinsed the dye out. Bleh!) I have now sworn off hair dye for the rest of my life. This stuff really worked for me in terms of colour and overall coverage. (Also found it didn’t cover greys but I wasn’t expecting that since the company says that it’s not meant for grey coverage so I just pluck them.) I did find it a bit drying on my hair, so I recommend an Olaplex treatment to follow up if you often have an issue with dry hair. Good news is that my hair soaks up most products, bad news is that any dye usually dries it out. I read in these reviews to use less time if you have thinner, more dry hair and I totally echo that tip. Start with 5 mins, rinse, dry, style, see how you like it. Can always add more time on follow up applications, but wait at least 4-6 week to try again. Having said all that, this product almost works TOO good. My concern in this part is for your shower, not your hair. If going with a darker colour I highly recommend applying outside of the shower, like with any other hair dye, and washing out in a stainless steel sink. The first time I used it, I applied in the shower and it stained the white walls and white shower curtain. And also stained the label on the bottle! I thought my partner was going to KILL me (his house) and I had a mini panic attack while praying I could get it to come off the shower walls (white plastic tub surround). Rubbing with my fingers was not cutting it. I was able to scrub it off using a powder cleaner, but if you want to save yourself the anxiety, just apply like a regular dye, and wash out in the sink. If you don’t have that option, or would rather risk your shower over your bathroom, just have a good cleaner on hand to clean spots immediately off the walls. DO NOT apply in the shower if you have light-coloured tile! You will never be able to get it out of light-coloured grout, which is the stuff between the tiles holding them to the wall. Do not risk it or you might be paying to re-tile the shower and/or won’t be getting your damage deposit back!GenoaK
I received a free full size sample of the dpHUE Gloss+ Semi-permanent hair color and I am a fan! I am a licensed cosmetologist and I usually stay away from anything that isn't used in a professional salon setting but, after a recent color appointment left my hair over-processed and brittle, as well as too blonde I was excited to give this semipermanent hair color and deep conditioner a try. (We just moved across the country and I don't have the time right now to make it to the supply house for a toner and conditioning treatment) I received the color medium brown. The application process was so easy, I shampooed and conditioned my hair in the shower, stepped to the side and towel dried my hair and combed it out, then applied this semipermanent hair color. I left it on for the remainder of my shower, approximately 7-10 minutes. The pigment is wonderful and rich, and it leaves beautiful warm tones in your hair. If you don't wear gloves to apply, make sure you have soap on standby to clean your hands or it will stain! This product left my hair silky smooth and shiny. I was very pleased with the golden brown color it toned my hair to. I was even more pleased to see that it did not slough off on my flat iron or my white pillow cases. I've already shampooed my hair once and the color stuck around. I can tell it's lighter and that it'll continue to lighten as I shampoo, but that's the point of semipermanent hair color. I think if I was in a pinch and needed to tone my hair between color appointments I would definitely consider buying this product. I'd also recommend this product for friends or family who need a quick fix to tone down and/or condition their hair.Kyra
I loved the ease of not having to mix this product and having both the option to apply in-shower to damp hair or to dry. I used the dark brown which was perfectly suitable for my hair color. For the first application I used the in-shower on damp hair method. This sounded like no brainer… I didn't have to worry about the product getting on anything, I was already going to wash my hair anyway, and I could quickly and easily wash my hands to prevent the pigment from staining my hands… Right? Yes, to all but the latter!!! The company does warn that darker shades can stain the skin but I never imagined that it would stain my hands the second it made contact. I had to scrub my hands with a pumice stone until they were sore and raw in order to get the stains off. You have been warned 🙂 Now fearful of what was the underestimated power of this product, I only left it on my hair for approximately 5 minutes. The results were great, as I did notice my color was a beautiful, deeper, richer version of its self prior to the treatment. Thankfully, my hair is already shiny so I am unable to review that aspect of the products claim. After 2 weeks I thought it only be fair to try this product using the dry method and left it on for the same duration of time for a most accurate comparison… This time, I used gloves 🙂 The results were equally as positive and effective without the stress of staining. Both applications were super easy, as there was no mixing, the product comes in an easy to use bottle with a pump dispenser and the formula is rich and thick making for an effortless application. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for more dimension and an easy at home semipermanent color either in between visits to the salon or just to give your locks an extra boost of shine and depth. I truly love this Blue Curaçao (aka Intense Pure Indigo)! I have…had virgin hair that was strawberry blonde until I dyed it with Garnier Fructise Intense Fiery Red all over. I then decided I wanted some dark highlights. After hours of searching for the perfect color, I found the Blue Curaçao. I had washed my hair twice in the time it took to receive the blue (a total of 7 days). I sectioned the top and sides of my hair to do 4 strips/highlights of the blue. I then pulled the portion underneath (the portion near my neck) and colored all of that with the blue. I left it in for 25 minutes, rinsed it out with cool water until the water was no longer Blue, put on the Mask Treatment (D – included with the Garnier Fructise) and let that sit a couple minutes. I then rinsed it all, used a thermal protectant spray (Aussie Total Miracle) and blow dried my hair. The colors are beautiful together! My hair feels soft and is shiny. I was prepared for this to do nothing to my hair since my hair is nearly black. What I wasn’t prepared for was the horrible difference between my roots and the rest of my hair. Any dye with a lifting (lightening) component will direct you to do your roots last, as the heat of your scalp will cause the dye in this area to process much faster than the rest of your hair. Since the directions specified to start at the roots, I was under the impression this was not something I had to worry about and I followed the directions. This was a mistake. As you can see from the pictures my hair looks like the box for the first inch of roots and then is almost completely unchanged. There isn’t even a gradual change, it just abruptly stops. To be clear, has it been barely noticeable all over, or the root color all over, I would have been happy. I have been dying my hair for 15 years and have never had this problem, because directions should (and usually do) account for the product behaving this way.Lana
This is literally the worst product I've ever used. Not only did it not work. It ruined my hair. It took my light brown unprocessed hair and turned the middle orange and the ends are now the color and consistency of a banana. I've been coloring my own hair for 25 years. My mother has been a cosmotologist for 40 years. I'm no novice when it comes to hair. I normally would never have bought bleach or color for that matter in box form but this was the only thing available to me so I thought i'd give it a shot how bad could it be. I never imagined in a million years that it would DESTROY my hair. I followed the directions on the box. I checked it at 20min it was still super orange at 20 min left it on 10min longer rinsed shampooed and conditioned all in cool water and my hair is literally orange yellow mush!!karebear24

I went from a medium copper red to dark auburn brown with the shade Milano Brown – 5NAC. Picking a shade on the Ulta app wasn't the easiest process and going to the Madison Reed website only helped a little in that their quiz matched me to the same shade I was leaning toward based on the photos here. The shade may be a touch too dark for me, but I just dyed it today so I think it'll grow on me. The sites, both Ulta and Madison Reed, list Milano as a "dark chocolate brown," but the actual box clearly says Dark Auburn. I'm mostly okay with that as I love red, but I was actually aiming for a browner brown. While there aren't highlights in this formula, it does have some vibrancy and shine to keep it from being mousy. It is, at least on me, definitely a dark red brown. The kit is a very good and complete kit. I love that it has 2 pairs of gloves, a barrier and wipe to keep you from dying your skin and there's plenty of dye for a full application. I don't know how I feel about the shower cap as I did start to feel a little warm in it. It achieved a full color application, though, so I'm pleased. My hair feels a little textured after dying it, but it doesn't look dry or damaged in any way. It's honestly like I used I volumizing spray or mousse, but I didn't. Maybe there is something like that in the conditioner because my hair does look fuller. I have very fine, straight hair so it looks very good to me after the complete process. That whole process, for a full head application on hair that hasn't been dyed in months, took me a little over an hour start to finish. Every step was easy to complete for someone used to dying their own hair and the instructions are clear for any level of experience. I worried a little that the price meant it might be too advanced for me, but it's like all the other kits that I've tried with a few nice extras. The price and difficulty finding my right shade are why this gets 4 stars instead of the full 5. The kit is a 5 star and then some kind of kit, but not being able to tell if you're picking the right shade is a big problem when buying online. $30 for something I've never tried before when I'm used to paying around $3 for Revlon ColorSilk was a risk. I wanted something different, though, and this absolutely delivered. I'm very likely to try it again in the future. I'll be looking at a different shade and hoping for a sale.Adele S
I used this hair color religiously for 2 years, thinking it was a safer option than other box dyes. The color is good, it's easy enough to use, and the amount per kit was fine, even for my super long hair. However, I would notice more hair loss after coloring, and over the course of 2 years, I would have several episodes of hair loss. I thought it was due to stress, hormones, etc. But I researched and came across other reviewers and encounters of hair loss like mine from various Madison Reed color kit users. Madison Reed claims to be free of the traditional "harsh chemicals" found in hair dye, but fail to mention they simply replaced the usual suspects with harsh alternatives: ammonia is subbed out with ethanolamine, which is known to cause skin irritation and can also cause hair loss!!! There is a new class action lawsuit against Madison Reed for this very reason, as per Feb 2022 (NY), and I am certain there will be many more. I'm 49 so hair overall has changed. I've been using this color for a couple of years now. It's overpriced, and the last 3 times I've colored my hair within less than 2 weeks grays are shining! After 5-6 washes I am still having grayish black colored water. I can't attribute this to one specific thing but I purchased about 6-8 boxes when it was BOGO these are all from the same timeframe. I only color it every 6 weeks if I can help it but it honestly needs it after 2.5-3 weeks. I have a few boxes left but unfortunately I won't be using it. I went back to mixing my own. The black doesn't seem like real black either… it's like a reddish tint after a few washes. I don't mind that so much, BUT I do mind seeing color wash out after 5-6 washes literally up until I color again I am still washing out color. It's been very drying as well. I bought this product because 5RC on the box said LIGHT copper brown. When I googled it, it of course comes up with MEDIUM copper brown. I dyed my hair thinking it would be the color swatch that was on the shelves at Sally's. I used a color remover to remove my old color and get it ready for a light copper brown. To my shock after using that treatment twice and getting ready to dye it with the light color, it came out exactly as this color showing on this page So I used all this treatment on my hair to remove a dark color only to have another dark color. Can't say I'm super happy with how this was all labeled. 5RC that I got on my box definitely said light copper brown and definitely came out as this medium copper brown. Bit disappointed

I have random greys along my hairline that I really wanted to cover. I purchased the color prep that is recommended for grey coverage and the dark brown to match my natural hair color. I mixed the ingredients per the instructions, carefully measured water temperature, left on for the specified time. The process felt very time consuming since I basically did everything twice. I was really disappointed when all my greys were still visible. Didn’t notice any difference in my brown hair, either the color match is perfect or the product does nothing. After washing my hair the next day with shampoo, the smell of the product still lingered too. Waste of my time and money.RS
I have been using Sunrise for about six months now and am very happy with the product. My natural color is a light brown/honey/auburn but was beginning to go grey. I tried commercial hair dyes and it came out nothing like my natural color but worse I ended up with a huge demarcation line every month as it grew out. I could swear it was making me go gray faster. I would also get a raised rash on my scalp after each treatment with was getting increasingly worse. I have had no allergic reactions to this product. Sunrise softens and mostly covers the gray and enhances my color making it brighter and closer to what it once was. As it grows out there is no demarcation line it just subtly fades. I do notice that some months I need to apply it more frequently than others but guessing that’s just based on how often I wash my hair. My neighbor, a former hairdresser, has been applying it for me and she is amazed at how easy this is to apply compared to the Henna of years ago. I have also applied it myself on a few occasions and find very manageable as a DIY product also.
First of all, I received my box of Khadi for free in exchange for a review. Secondly, I would purchase this with my own money going forward. I enjoyed the ease of the kit, having everything I needed (aside from the liquid to mix the henna with) in the box. The gloves could be sturdier as they broke in many spots during application. The henna did not dye my hands though so it didn't bother me. According to the color chart I expected this to brighten my hair somewhat but not change the actual color by much. In actuality my hair took on a more red tone which I expected from it being henna. My hair has felt very strong and smooth, it's been so shiny ever since using this. I also loved receiving the charcoal hair mask along with the sunrise henna. The smell of henna which lasted on my hair for around 5 or so washes after the application and original rinsing, is reminiscent of the 4-H animal section of the state fair, but it did eventually fade out and my husband never commented on it so either he was too polite or he didn't notice. I know this sounds like I'm being negative but I genuinely enjoyed this kit and the process of using it as well as the effects on my hair. The color is lovely and my hair feels healthy which was a huge part of my actual desire to try this. I just feel that anyone checking reviews ought to know the negatives also. Yes I recommend this for anyone interested in henna.

I’ve been a licensed colorist for 25 years. I decided to give this a try because I’ve developed allergies to ammonia and PPD. There was zero odor, it did tingle a little on my scalp, but not too bad. I’m only about 15% grey and formulated the color properly. Not only does it look like I didn’t color my hair at all, it left my hair very dry. I’ll never use this again. A 100% ammonia free shampoo type hair dye primer, recommend to use it before dye your hair to get the colour evenly or just get brighter tone to your hair colour. this product is easy to apply and it also leaves less damage to your hair. how to use wear gloves and gown which included in the box. put and mix the two packages in the bottle (do not mix hair treatment) then tight a lid and shake it for enough time. push down the pump 3-4 times and spread foam start from top to down on your hair. wait from 20-30 minutes depends on the your hair colour condition. wash with shampoo and use hair treatment for at least 3 minutes then rinse. cautions please test on your skin 24 hours before your first use to check any allergies. keep out of reach from children. immediately dispose everything after use.

Primer, lightened my hair from a dark chocolate colour to a caramel toffee colour. I originally thought of just using this to prep my hair for the other colours but I ended up liking the caramel so much that I just let it be like that hahaha. I've actually repurchased the primer because I've got a regrowth now and I want to retouch my roots. It didn't sting and was easy to apply. I use a purple shampoo to keep it from looking brassy. I will see how it goes when I've used it for the second time.Saartje

Color came our amazing exactly how I wanted only downfall is it did wash out quickly I even waited 72 hours before I washed my hair due to the recommendation of letting the color sit and not wash as much. I am an everyday hair washer due to how oily my hair is. After the 72hrs I washed hair every 48 to 72 hrs still color was fading everytime after 4 to 5 washes color is noticeably different. Used this color with 30 developer I wish they would make the color last especially since it's supposed to be permanent but the color was awesome while it lasted.erica.m
I have used Ions dyes many times, and they are consistent only in the fact that they never color properly. The rose pink lasted a single wash. The shamrock green left only the faintest green stain on my lightest hair. The sapphire blue left me with an even green. And now, after using a PERMANENT dye with DEVELOPER on my WHITE HAIR, I am left with no color at all and a lighter wallet. The result seems crazy due to how badly it burned while I let it sit under foil for 45 minutes. This is definitely my last straw with Ion products, and I can say with confidence that I will never bother trying with them again. They're a waste of time and money, ESPECIALLY this particular color. I will admit that the colors are all fairly cheap, so you do get what you pay for.
I like this product very much. To get this color I bleached my hair to a level 9 and then dyed my hair mixing this with a volume 30 cream peroxide all from the same brand. This one is in a cream consistency. Besides the fact that I like this color I also prefer this brand over others I've tried because in my opinion this brand smells less chemically intoxicating "I actually find the products kind of have a sligh parfum scent" plus I've also experienced less damaging with constant use. Tip……It also mixes very well with my conditioners "I prepared a mixture of conditioner and the tint to maintain the freshness of the hair color and used it every time I washed my hair after shampooing" just be aware that this is pigmented and it will get messy in the bathtub if not careful.xiomara.v

I have been using this product for several years. I mix two colors and I am happy with the results I get. Going to the salon to have my hair color would cost over $75.00 every 4-6 weeks. I also purchase the developer and I can do my own color and save $$$$$$$. It is a task and can get messay but worth it to me.suzannelcarlos1952
The quality of this product is very good. I used the correct concentration of developer to color ratio on a test spot. it did not lift my hair. I haven't been able to achieve HI lift color ( any brand)( and I have tried every brand) on my hair since I have had more grey hair because my dark level 6 has gotten darker with hormonal changes. That being said I believe this product is a good value and is high quality, but unfortunately i cannot use high lift colors on my hair any longer . I went back to my stylist for partial foils with bleach is the only way to lighten my resistant dark hormonal hair and tone the grey highlights to blonde. If you have virgin hair that is the correct level, you should have good results!superluckygirlm111

Love this Semi permanent hair color ! Lasts longer than any other brand Ive tried . Note* I only use a cleansing condition hair wash for over 15 years since ,most regular shampoos are very harsh and strip any type color application quickly. I find coloring whether permanent or semi-permanent last longer with cleansing conditioner hair washes. I use the Golden Blonde to turn my greys to golden highlights.Nan
The color I used was not listed on influenster so I am just leaving my review here for the turquoise hair color. The first time I tried bigen I did not pre-lighten and the results were barely noticeable. This time I did pre-lighten and acheived better more noticeable results but came across a catch 22.I used turquoise but my hair ended up more of an emerald green. This is because blue mixed with yellow makes green obviously and after bleaching my hair it became a yellowish blonde. I could have used toning shampoo to remove the brassiness and make it more white however that toning shampoo also strips the keratin out of your hair and keratin is necessary to hold the color. The choices are leave it this color or use the toning shampoo which will make it wash out faster as well as not retain the color properly initially either. I'm going to run further experiments to see if there's a compromise I can make to make it last long and get the exact color I want. I'll let you know if I make any progress.zaneta.o
