Used this on our apartment carpet since our dog decided to pee in 30 different spots, we had to deep clean the carpets with this solution 2 x than pour some on the spot and let it sit over night, after washing the carpets for the 3x the pee was unnoticeable. So much so we got our deposit back! Moral of the story, don’t make your dog mad or you will waste a whole day paying the price. I had to deal with days-old, very dark brown liquidy cat vomit on my non-shag carpet. This product did a very good job lifting the colour and odour out with some elbow grease as well. First I scraped up the dry solids, then I applied cleaner diluted with hot water from a squeeze bottle to the spots, scrubbed with a small brush and then vacuumed the liquid up with my carpet cleaner. I bought this primarily to remove pet stains (mostly vomit), but I didn't have any immediately available. So I tried it on some other stains and the results just floored me! First, I had a dark spot of a dark wood scratch cover. It's an oil based stain. I sprayed Power Shot on it and 24 hours later the stain had entirely disappeared! Next, I tried it on some small rust stains. The stains were caused by dog urine that had seeped into the carpet under the metal feet of furniture legs. Power Shot didn't clean all of the rust stain, but with repeated applications, the stains are now so slight that they're hardly noticeable. Note that Bissell doesn't claim that Power Shot will remove rust stains, but with my old carpet, I had nothing to lose. Eventually, I had dog vomit and urine stains to clean up and Power Shot worked beautifully. Again, within 24 hours, the stains were just gone! Very impressive! One thing I've done differently from the directions is that rather than blot the product into the carpet, I've been brushing it in with a carpet brush. I don't know if it works any better that way, but for a larger stain, it seems to spread the product into the carpet much more easily. Regardless, Power Shot is a great product and I highly recommend it!

Im surprised how well it actually works, but it does take a while to get the stain off thats why you get two bottles I think, but it probably depends on the stain! I had loads of make up stains on my carpet and its took them all off! Took a while to take red lip stick off though, I would definitely recommend this product! I have used this product for some time now. However initially I whipped off the inner card cover [as with most products] then read that one is meant to pierce it! Trying to stick it back on is not very successful. On another bottle, the same cardboard cover came off as I unscrewed the lid; currently I have decanted all the fluid into a spare washing up liquid bottle but use the brush with a small amount of cleaner on it. Have used this product (Spot Shot) for years with excellent cleaning results. However, I have been continually frustrated with disappointment for years now on NOT being able to use all in the12 oz. can I purchase … as the propellant near always runs out leaving 1/4 – 1/3 of the cleaner in the can stagnant …without enough propellant, the remainder is trapped in the can ~ the cleaner left is no longer an option to use and the remains are trashed ~ time after time ~yup, pitched in the trash. This product is not inexpensive and am throwing my $$ away by this constant defect…a real issue of concern for me …guesstimate per can I pay for and can not use, about $1.40 of product I end up throwing away…. adds up over the years to A LOT spent on throw away product…your defective package performance has been disappointingly consistent. Let’s just say this product is as necessary in our home as electricity. My fiancé and I are known to spill spot shot is magic! It can remove red wine from white carpet and any food stain from our furniture and most recently, my favorite restoration hardware rug! I haven’t found another product that even comes close and the price is very reasonable. We keep a can of spot shot on every flooor of our house and actually give it to our friends for house warming gifts-they laugh at first and then we eventually hear from them later on “you weren’t kidding this literally gets out anything!”. As a professional carpet cleaner with over 15 years experience, I am always investigating new products and since our Canadian dollar has dived so deep, it is no longer practical to order more expensive professional products from across the border. So I tried the Zep with our $30,000 machine and find it to be a decent cleaner, but not the best I've tried. It is low foaming, not fumy and safe to use according to the MSDS I've studied, but Zep makes another product that performs better (greenlink) which I prefer, but cannot find any additional info on it so it may be discontinued. For the average consumer using a store rental I would say this product is acceptable for use.Richardus

Never got to use it but gave some to a friend of mine who's puppy had little accidents. She raved about it to me as it cleaned it right up. I have used many different brands of carpet cleaners. I had a stubborn coffee stain on light blue carpet that always came back when dry. I tried Zep commercial Advanced Oxy Carpet and upholstery Stain Remover and the stain is gone. I did not have to scrub. I let it dry and vacuumed like normal. Zep Inc. has a new customer. Before renting a shampooer/cleaner, try this 409. I used (5) cans in my place – 1650 sq.ft., w/30 yr. old carpet > I sprayed solid foam in heavy areas > Swept with broom to loosen fibers > Let sit till almost dry > Swept again in heavy areas > Vacuumed After surgery I had an open wound which needed to be field dressed every day. My carpet floor was covered in blood spots/stains. It was (6) mos. after I healed, I cleaned my carpet with 409. Great Results w/ Nice Smell. Now it has been(2) yrs. I ordered (2) cans for touch-up. Tonight however… time did not permit and I was being ushered to the register with an arm full of finds right at closing time. But Based on the reviews I am now reading from the comfort of my own home, with this big ol beautiful rug before me that I scored for free from a Zen studio which sadly, did not survive the ongoing COVID crisis. I am excited to try this on my new run while simultaneously shaking an angry fist at our good for nothing politicians who are so completely outta touch with reality and/or don’t give a flying hoot about those of us forced from our jobs, and the small businesses struggling to stay afloat. Anyone who still claims we are the greatest nation… needs to accept the fact, this is no longer the case. I bought this carpet cleaner a while ago, in case of a messy emergency. I spent a good bit of time checking out the reviews on a number of different carpet cleaners. This brand had the best reviews, and I liked that it had a built in scrubber/sponge on top, so I decided to buy it. Well, I didn't need to use it till this week. I used it to clean a disgusting mess, and it did a very good job. I was very pleased with how well this product works. Between the strong cleaner, and the combo scrubber/sponge on top, the mess got cleaned up. Be aware that you do have to do the scrubbing with the thing, so you will have to expend some effort, but with this product and it's scrubber, the work goes easier, and with better results than I'd get from other products. I don't mind expending some effort, if I get the results I want and need. I will definitely get this product again, although I hope I don't have to use it often. I hate disgusting messes! Thanks to this product I can now get rid of them completely, and without having to work too hard to do it.
