I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. That being said, transitioning into warmer, humid spring/summer weather, I’m really pleased to have found this product. It’ll be great for clean summer hair.jessicaeve1023
For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. My hair has been so dry and I've always spent at least 30 minutes detangling that it stresses me out and I usually end up procrastinating and only brush it once every few days and it is DREADFUL. I bleach the daylights out of my hair on a regular basis and use Pravana's line of color enhancers which is great for maintaining the blonde but is rough on the hair. I switched diet around and got on supplements to help aid in healing my hair but it was still very lackluster. My stylist is a hardcore Paul mitchell fan and recommended this and dear lord does it deliver. I went from soggy spaghetti to a full on lions mane. It's gotten to the point where I've switched from volume to control sprays. The volume even holds on days when I use my purple shampoos which is amazing. I have very fine hair. I can wrap a normal hair band around ALL my hair 4-5 times it's so fine. This shampoo was recommended to me and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. My hair definitely feels thicker and fuller. It does more than just about any volumizing shampoo I've ever tried. I really like the scent too, but I'm a fan of citrus so that wasn't a surprise. It isn't an overpowering scent, but it is pleasant. The cons I see are that it makes my hair somewhat coarse or rough (maybe that's how it gets thicker??). Does what it claims as far as aesthetics, plus it has a nice light lemon scent. My hair did look nice and full when using this, and it didn't weigh it down at all. I have very fine and thin hair, so it's common for products to be too heavy for me. However, after about a month and a half of use I noticed my scalp getting a little flaky. I normally have a very oily scalp (and skin in general) and don't typically have any issue with dandruff. My scalp was also slightly tender if I scratched it. So unfortunately I think this product crosses the line from volumizing into drying and stripping. Maybe alternating this shampoo with a moisturizing or scalp-care one would work, but I would personally rather find an all-in-one product. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. That being said, transitioning into warmer, humid spring/summer weather, I’m really pleased to have found this product. It’ll be great for clean summer hair.jessicaeve1023
For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. This stuff, on the other hand is great. It lets me go days between washes without my hair getting oily and gross looking. I've been searching for a product to help my formerly thick hair revert back to its natural state. It has thinned a bit since I started coloring it, and I've been wanting to get it healthy again. I liked it the first two times i used it but subsequent shampoos left my hair dry and make it look thinner. Conditioner did not help. I just don't think it is a quality shampoo. I have found this problem with cheap shampoos. I went back to using Loreal Everpure Volume shampoo. Even though it is not very expensive it seems to be a good shampoo for my hair.Update: I can no longer use Loreal Everpure shampoo. It started making my head itch. I am trying the Jason again. I purchased both shampoo & conditioner. Before I bought Living Proof 3 purchases ago. I have been on a hunt for a shampoo that would go great with my hair. On Living proofs website they have this hair test where it can help you figure out what hair products they have will be good for your hair type. My hair is fine, thin, brittle and super straight. I wanted more fullness in my hair & so far my hair does not have a lot of breakage anymore, I have more hair growth. I wash my hair every 2-3 days (yes, that's still a lot to some of you hahaha) but my hair used to get super oily the 1st day before using Living Proof. Now, I can maintain it within those days & within those days although my hair gets slightly oily it still feels/smells clean. I fell in love with their scent by the way. 8/10 recommend because it is pricey but I think it is very much worth.vb1112
I have thinning hair in some major need of a volume boost. This has definitely helped! The whole experience is such a pleasure. Smells incredible! If you’ve tried any other LP products before, you’ll know what I mean. The shampoo had a nice lather without being too weighty. This is the first time I try a shampoo and conditioner duo from living proof. I have very fine, thin hair that tangles easily and usually volumizing products or thickening products make it more tangled instead of just giving me soft, maneageable volumized hair, but this duo actually worked on my hair. It didn't make it look dull and gave a slight lift that wasn't exaggerated. This shampoo lathered really nicely and made my hair feel clean. I took a chance years ago! My frizz is under control just by shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels LIGHT (not weighed down by other frizz products). I’ve been using this shampoo for a few weeks and I really like it…I just don’t know if it’s worth the price tag yet. I received the shampoo and conditioner for free in exchange for a review. The pros are….it makes my hair feel soft, look thicker/more voluminous, doesn’t weigh my hair down, I don’t lose as much hair when I brush it, less shedding in between washes and I see a tiny bit of hair re-growth. My only con is the price. Normally I use dove shampoo and it’s like $5. If it makes my hair re-grow I will repurchase it but if not I’ll stick to dove. It’s a luxury formula so aesthetically I like the way the packaging looks but functionally it’s harder to open and close. When my hands are wet it’s hard to unscrew the top and put it back on but it looks luxurious in my shower so packaging wise I’m 50/50 on. Overall it does what it claims so if you don’t mind spending a little more on hair care then it’s worth itsarlizz
I received this product as part of a free trial, and my opinions are my own. I love the packaging. The large mouth on the top makes it nice to store upside down in my shower caddy, which helps me get all the product out. The scent is nice, and the formula feels much like most high-end shampoos. I really enjoy a luxurious lather, and this does not disappoint. I have waist-length hair, and in order to get a good lather from root to tip, I have to use three times as much shampoo as the average person. I shampoo twice to ensure my hair is clean. With the second wash I get even more lather. I have not, however, noticed any change in the density or thickness of my hair after one use. I have thinning hair at the top of my crown. I was only allotted enough time to use the product once within my normal wash schedule before posting a review, so I cannot report on the claims of thickening my hair. I received Kerastase Densifique Bain Densite Shampoo as part of a free sample program in exchange for my honest opinion. There are not a lot of shampoos I can sample because most have a harsh surfactant that I am allergic to. Fortunately for me, this one did not have it. I was impressed with the thick creamy shampoo. The packaging was not my favorite because I prefer a pump for ease of use, but it wasn’t terrible. The directions say use a quarter size dollop, and that wasn’t going to work for my long hair. But it has a nice, thick lather that I appreciated. The scent was not overwhelming and felt luxurious. I loved the way my hair felt afterwards as well. I am 5 months postpartum and am struggling with hair loss. This product definitely made my hair feel a bit more full after just one use. I only shampoo about 2-3xs a week so I believe it would have been an even bigger difference if I shampooed more frequently. In my case, my hair are thin and has always needed to be washed and blow dried every day. I am nearly at the bottom of the bottle, so I am ready to comment. This one is not working for me. It is probably due to the texture of my hair – it is a bit past shoulder length, fine/medium hair. Not super fine, but I think you might get the idea. After I apply soap, and gently wash hair, and rinse out – my hair is a matted mess while in the shower. I have to add conditioner, just to be able to rinse the soap out of my hair properly. The two conditioners that I used, that saved me – are both offered by Vitacost: Andalou Naturals Detangling spray and 2Chic Ultra Sleek Conditioner by Giovanni. I love the Andalou spray, so I will try their shampoo. Giving this 2 stars, as this Shikai shampoo, may be ok for super short hair, or hair needing a 'clarifying' shampoo, to remove heavy sports sweat/dirt, gels & other hair products. When I purchased Shikai Shampoo I had hair that was colored. That was about a year and a half ago. Now it's my natural color but this shampoo is still doing a good cleansing job and leaves my hair manageable. This used to be my favorite conditioner WHEN IT HAD AMLA, for fine wavy hair and a difficult scalp and as a reward for my loyalty and others' they changed the AMLA to borage without announcement. If I could give this product negative stars I would. I really don’t like being this person but if I can save at least one person from my experience than this is worth the review. I have always had thin hair so I figured I would try this shampoo considering these are suppose to be the main 2 ingredients for hair growth, however, I had the complete opposite affect. I have never lost so much hair in my life and it is absolutely heart breaking for me right now. This product has torn me to pieces because I am unsure as to how I am suppose recover from this serious hair loss. If someone else knows of a product that actually works please let me know. A couple of weeks before Christmas I picked up this shampoo and conditioner to try to give my hair a little more life and to get it healthier. I was thinking my regular pantene wasn't doing the trick. 1 week after using this shampoo my hair started falling out in HUGE clumps in the shower. I thought something was seriously wrong with my health or my stress had gotten worse since we just lost a beloved family member. I just thought it was all me. So I continued to use the shampoo hoping it would eventually help. It didn't. Everytime I washed my hair it would continue to fall out in clumps. I stopped blow drying my hair and would only gently comb the ends of my hair with a wide tooth comb. Even gently combing my dry hair my hair was falling out. My sister (who didn't even know I was losing my hair) sent me a link about a lawsuit with Tressame. There is a major lawsuit because some of their products have caused hair loss and painful scalp burns. I looked it up and sure enough the shampoo I have been using had the ingredient they talked about in the law suit. I looked further into the shampoo and there are reviews all over the place with women complaining about my exact same condition. It's craziness. This is the strangest shampoo (and the conditioner) to me. I am used to shampoos that feel frothy and rich, and conditioners that feel silky when I rinse them out. I do a lot of detangling with my fingers in the shower because my hair is so long. It's well past my waist, almost to the top of my legs. Finger detangling in the shower helps prevent a lot of breakage. This shampoo (and the conditioner) scared me at first. I could hardly get my fingers through my hair. It knotted up when I shampooed, and took forever to get the knots out. The shampoo seemed to completely strip my hair, or so it felt. I'm talking SQUEEEEEAKY clean. I assumed that when it dried, it would look like a broom. But it didn't. I also used the conditioner, which didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, either. I didn't use any detangler or hair oil out of the shower because I wanted to see exactly how this stuff worked for me. I carefully detangled with a flat detangling brush and let it air dry. And it looked amazing! I was shocked. My hair was so shiny and soft. It had lots of movement, and my waves had definition. I've used about half of both bottles so far, and I'm not seeing any change. My hair doesn't seem to be drying out or breaking, and I haven't noticed any unusual hair fall. I'm still on the fence, though, because it's so difficult to detangle. The "after" is great for me. It's getting there that's difficult, and I don't like spending ages on my hair. I want to wash, detangle, and let it air dry on its own.Carolee

I have NEVER had issues with shampoo/conditioner up until buying this. I have tried many different cheap shampoo/conditioners, and decided to splurge a little on this product after seeing some hairstylists on social media recommend this brand. Unfortunately I have similar experiences as other low reviews on this product. I have noticed that I am shedding a LOT more hair than normal in the shower. I have also noticed after 1-2 weeks of use that my hair has started to feel greasy and heavy. It almost feels like the product did not get washed out of my hair. At first I thought maybe this was my fault that I didn’t rinse it out well. But last night I made sure to do a thorough job rinsing out my hair, and woke up with my hair the greasiest it’s ever looked after a wash. I’ve never had a product do this to my hair. The only plus is that I love the scent of these products. I hope I will be able to return this.sarah
I’ve finally found the culprit for the damage my hair has been experiencing over the past few months. I first raised an eyebrow when my stylist pointed out dandruff, which I’ve never had before. I attributed this to buildup from dry shampoo, but after reading these reviews I now know that these products have caused the buildup and flakes. I’ve also lost a TON of hair. My hair is usually thick and full of body, but now I have to use tons of dry shampoo and styling tools to get it to look presentable. I wanted to love this brand and especially this product, but I can't. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks in to using the shampoo and conditioner. My scalp first started getting dry and itchy, which has never been a problem for me. About 3 weeks in, excessive amounts of hair started coming out when I washed or brushed my hair. My hair wasn't falling out in clumps, but it was more than normal, causing me to be concerned about the cause. About 1 month in, there was a lot of dandruff, irritation on my scalp, and parts of my scalp were getting crusty, almost like a had massive dandruff buildup. I want to preface this that I have never had any of these problems with other brands, including other inexpensive brands, high end brands, and custom shampoo. I used other Kristin Ess product including the scalp scrub, detangler, and the scalp every day conditioner. I stoped using these products and stuck with just the shampoo and conditioner to see if my symptoms improved. My symptoms continued to worsen and I realized that it was the shampoo and conditioner causing all of my problems. I even showed my hairdresser and she thought that the brand was good because it claims to be vegan and and lacks bad ingredients. There is something in these products that caused all of my symptoms and is not good at least for my hair type. I would strongly encourage using another brand to avoid dealing with the symptoms I experienced. I am not saying you will have the same problems, but for me, it was awful. It was the only benefits that I get, not so much for this price… I don't feel that it lathers good so I would say it will not last for a long time (maybe a month). I wash my hair every day so it is a little overpriced for me. Nothing special for this price, just a regular good shampoo. I purchased this shampoo due to noticing more and more hair falling out in the shower. My part also got wider. This shampoo has helped so much! I see new hairs sprouting, its a little longer and more fullness. People have been commenting that my hair looks great! Only reason I knocked off 1 star is I feel like I have shampoo twice to get it to really lather. To start – I have coily, thick hair but very thin hair strands. This has been the ONLY shampoo I’ve ever used that doesn’t completely strip my hair or cause ridiculous tangles in the shower. I’ve been using this for about 3/4 years now and I have no complaints. I’m able to start my wash days off without stress because of this shampoo. It’s also gentle on my hair. I’ve also had success in the past with using it to get my hair “squeaky clean” just by doing a deep double wash versus one. I’ve yet to even encountered a conditioner that detangles my hair as well as this does! I hope this product never gets discontinued because I’m 100% loyal to this product!!Amber B
I was looking for something more moisturizing for my relaxed hair as my current shampoo was too clarifying, despite claiming to be moisturizing as well. I switched to this one and after one wash, condition and flat iron, it's giving fresh out the salon chair. Much fewer fly-aways, my hair looks shinier and physically feels more moisturized. Ok curly girls! This is a true find. I purchased this from Ulta. I had never heard of this brand before so I stumbled upon it. I thought why not give it a chance and wow so glad I did. This is a sulfate free shampoo but does lather up. It lives up to it's name! You want moisturized curls? Well here it is. Soft hair? Here it is. What I love about this product as soon as you put this sulfate free shampoo on your hair you can tell the difference compared to other sulfate free shampoo. I love that it lathers up and feels slick in my hair. It really detangles my hair and when you rinse your hair you can actually run your finger through your hair. This product also helps with frizz. So yes run out and get yourself a bottle you'll be glad you did. Trust me I have tried so many high priced shampoos that didn't live up to the hype. Price is decent. This is now my shampoo of choice. My first voxbox and I'm honestly impressed 😍 This shampoo is a 10/10! It smells amazing and on the first use, I felt a major difference. Even if this wasn't sent to me, I wish I knew about it earlier to buy it. My hair is very thin, long and sometimes oily so I find it hard to control but this shampoo keeps it feeling light and fresh after one use. I was able to notice that you didn't need to use much in the shower and that my hair was easier to manage with it in. Usually my hair has a bunch of knots and it is difficult to manage in the shower but it was easier. The shampoo made it feel softer and manageable. First of all, can we just agree that this is the cutest bottle ever? Great color scheme and just a unique design. I digress… let's get to the shampoo. First of all, the scent…woah, it is strong, and the only reason I'm giving the product 4 stars. It's just a little much first thing in the morning. Aside from that, it's nice and sudsy making me feel like it cleaned my hair well. Paired with the conditioner, this stuff gives me body for days. I am loving the natural aspect of this shampoo, too!! I’m so frustrated! I bought a huge bottle of this at the end of last summer and it became my holy grail! I have thin but very curly hair and it gave me the perfect amount of moisture without weighing it down. I just grabbed a new bottle and the moment I put it in my hair I knew it was not the same. I really enjoy using this shampoo not only is it great for cleansing the hair thoroughly but it also has such a beautiful aromatherapy smells. A little bit goes a long way and you do receive a good size bottle. What I particularly like about this shampoo is that it is of a clear consistency and with this I find that there is less buildup and my hair does not get like so quickly. I have thick hair and find it tends to get greasy fairly quickly but with the shampoo I do not experience that.Katerina77

So, I am the sort who shampoos every day or nearly every day (although since last summer I've begun substituting one of those daily shampoos with a conditioning treatment about once a week) because my hair really bothers me when it isn't clean, and I just cannot stand it when it doesn't feel clean. I also always go for the most moisturizing shampoos and conditioners I can find especially in the winter. I generally use a leave-in conditioner or detangler after shampooing (and since Burt's Bees doesn't have one of those for humans I've used Mane and Tail's detangler spray). Yesterday my hair looked AMAZING but it felt very blergh, which sort of makes sense because I've read that dirty hair actually holds a hairstyle better than clean hair. I read another review from someone who said they felt like their hair was both shampooed and conditioned with just this shampoo, and on the theory that I might have overconditioned my hair yesterday I used the spray detangler sparingly today. It still doesn't feel clean, and going back to what I just said, if my hair doesn't feel clean I'm going to be sitting there wishing I could stop what I'm doing, find a flow of clean water somewhere and shampoo my hair. Which isn't really conducive to doing social events that involve presenting myself as a functioning human being to other people. For me, my hair has to be clean first, and looking a certain way is gravy. Unfortunately, this shampoo isn't fulfilling that for me. Sorry, Burt's Bees, I really wanted to love this shampoo and I gave you two stars because my hair did look good yesterday and because I appreciate your social responsibility as I read it on the shampoo label. Update: After nearly two weeks of squelching the urge to stop where I am to find a sink and shampoo my hair (with dish soap, if that's all I can find to hand) or straight-up buzzing it all off, I am now down to about half the bottle and I have decided I can't stand this anymore and life is too short. Today I shampooed with one of my multi-use camping soaps because I just couldn't stand the thought of using this again. The rest of this bottle will be shampoo for house guests and soaking soap for my combs, brushes, and hand-washable woolens.S.

I immediately noticed with a wet head that I could feel volume I never had before.
