If I could give this 9 stars I would! I used this for about a week and a half and noticed dramatic hair loss. I was wanting to keep my hair healthy since it had been growing back and getting thick naturally. I wanted a little bit more volume and decided to use this product, terrible decision. At first I noticed significant amount of hair loss in the shower, probably about 5x more than normal. I really didn't think much of it since it started happening after a few days of use. Eventually, my husband pointed out that this product contains propane! I finally put it together a few days later and noticed other reviewers in different sites stating the same outcome of hair loss. The funny thing about this product is that my mom actually uses it. I see it in her bathroom all the time and then I get confused… is it really my mother’s dry shampoo, or is it not? After using this product for less than a week I started breaking out aggressively at the hairline and temples. At first I didn’t realize what was causing the problem and continued using the dry shampoo. The breakout became more severe and I started developing hard, painful nodular pimples on my scalp. I've been on a journey to find a new dry shampoo and this was the next one I chose. It cost me almost $11 for the one can which is an absolutely outrageous price. Normally I love the Hask brand so I thought it would be okay but just because it advertises good things doesn't make it good. It leaves the worst white cast on my hair of any dry shampoo I've ever used and I've used a lot in my time. I've been using this dry shampoo for years. It's always worked great for me. However, the last several canisters I've purchased (I buy multiple of the items I use regularly) have stopped spraying with 1/3 to 1/2 of the product left. The Good: If you love the classic Amika scent, you will love this product because it is truly spot on. Using this when skipping a wash day is a true joy for me because the scent is so long lasting that I get to enjoy it until I actually give my head a good shampooing. This product is light, does not go on overly white like most other dry shampoos out there and really does a great job at soaking up excess oil (yuck). I use this by spraying it in the problem areas and lightly "dusting" the rest of my scalp with it. Then I allow the product to work it's magic for at least 2-3 minutes but even more if time allows it and then I simply brush my hair out with my regular brush. Following these exact steps (my usual dry-shampoo routine) I have never found any issues of noticable residue in my dark brown hair. I've used many other dry shampoos that have made my hair look almost like its greying at the roots due to the light powder color and my contrasting dark hair. This dry shampoo never fails me. I truly love the formula, I've used this product for a very long time and I will continue to repurchase it (but only on sale). The Bad: As mentioned previously this product has a very intense long-lasting scent which can be a no-go for strong smell averse people and unless you know you enjoy the Amika "classic" scent products like I know I do, I would stick to getting a sample size to test it out. I got this for a friend as a gift and she told me she loves the scent but that it was simply too intense for her and after an entire day gave her a headache, so keep that in mind. The Ugly/Honest: Despite loving this product it's simply put not worth the price point. I buy this for at least 20% off each time and simply I cannot justify spending the full $25 for a undersized bottle of dry shampoo. Okay this stuff is awesome! I have type 4 African-American hair and wash it once a week, then typically do a blow dry and DIY silk press. It's hard to keep my hair sleek and fresh once 3-ish days pass because I work out 5x a week, doing everything from HIIT, Kickboxing, Soulcycle, strength training, etc. My hair also absorbs odors from the atmosphere very easily and starts to smell sweaty and old before the week is up. I got the travel-sized amika perk up in my birthday kit and have been using it pretty conservatively – I just spray a little in my hand and then rub my scalp and the lengths of my hair a bit. I only did this a few times this week. My hair so far has stayed surprisingly fresh and didn't even absorb any of the food or smoky odors after 5 hours in a baseball field concert. Perk Up has quickly become one of my go-to dry shampoos. I typically wash my hair 1-2 times a week and rely on dry shampoo the rest of the time. Most dry shampoos fall short of refreshing my hair after a day or two. But with Perk Up, my hair looked and smelled fresh through day 3. It did an ok job on day 4 but I will continue using IGK’s First Class for day 4. For those with less oily hair, I’m sure it would be great for day 4 hair. I have thick, straight hair that quickly becomes oily at the root. Perk Up quickly absorbed the oil without leaving a weird texture or weighing my hair down. It made it easy to style my hair however I wanted without having to counteract any effects from the dry shampoo. It has the classic Amika fragrance. The scent wasn’t overpowering compared to other dry shampoos I’ve used. But for those sensitive to fragrance, it is strong enough to possibly be an issue. So in love with this product. Not only that it gives you a few days before washing your hair again but it also gives you a little colour to cover up that grey before your next colour. It’s easy to maintain when styling your hair. Easy to wash out. But one thing I discovered is don’t touch your hair after. It can leave the colour of it on your hands. It’s very affordable, but I buy more when it’s on sale. It gives you that fresh look and feeling between washes. If you’re thinking about trying something to give you a little pick me up before washing your hair, you should try this. Some will like it, some won’t. But my over all experience with this product, I will definitely be buying this all the time. I mean who has time to wash your hair every day. We are busy women ladies. Personally, even if it was the perfect color and the color only stuck to hair instead of transferring to skin/nails/clothing/white countertops(!!), it would still be a no for me. The scent is not only terrible, but super strong and pervasive. It lingers, just like the color transfer, both in my bathroom and on me all day, and I hate it. If the overpowering scent wasn't 80% of what's in the can (and not disgusting and musky), I would absolutely deal with the transfer for this as not only a dry shampoo, but a quick and easy root touch-up/color corrector for daily use with no damage. But I can't walk around smelling that heavy, dark, masculine smell. Biolage has a dry shampoo with a heavenly scent. If they ever make that in a dark color, I'll never try another brand. I use dry shampoo sparingly but when I did, this was my go to. It was an amazing dry shampoo. The colour was nice and it gave great volume, it did make your fingernails look like you crawled in dirt if you touched your hair, BUT I COULD LOOK PASSED THAT. keep in mind I’m talking about the product in past tense, because they have clearly changed the formula. NOW- it literally doesn’t work. It’s not as stiff / drying, and the transfer is significantly less but it doesn’t soak up any oil and the volume is MIA????? What’s the point ??????? I was hesitant about trying the hair care products. My hair tends to absorb products, leaving my hair looking dull and feeling heavy. I also have sensitive skin and using new products, even salon grade, irritates my scalp. I got this free when I purchased the LeVolume Play (which I absolutely love) and I really like this dry shampoo. It’s very light and leaves my hair feeling soft. I wanted to love this dry shampoo. I love all the other products I use from Lange. However I am not crazy about this. It feels more like a hairspray mist – it does not make my hair feel crunchy like hairspray – but the spray itself, is like a thin wet spray. So much so, that I actually opened my 2nd bottle because I thought maybe my 1st one was faulty. So I feel like it doesn't give me volume like a more 'powdery' thick dry shampoo does. I'm not even sure it takes away oiliness from my hair. I don't know. I'm not a fan. If you're looking for a spray dry shampoo that does not leave a white residue, this one could be it. But for me, I'd prefer one that is more powdery and thick to give me the volume & thickness I love. I'm not saying it's terrible, it's just not my preference for dry shampoo.Ruth H.
I’ve tried many other brands of dry shampoo and this one takes 1st place. It is light enough to not build up on my hair and still work wonders for all non-wash days. Zero visible residue or “powdery” effect when you use it. Although you can buy bigger bottles in other brands – you will never notice the bottle size difference with L’ange because you use far less and still get fantastic results. This is one of my favorite dry shampoos. I like a really powdery dry shampoo, because when used properly they can leave my hair looking clean for up to 2 weeks. I have healthy fine hair which is prone to getting greasy. This shampoo sounded like a godsend and after first use I quite liked the results it certainly cleaned my hair. However after multiple uses I noticed my hair would be very extremely knitted after washing and brushing through was causing my hair to actually rip I could hear my hair snapping!!. This is very strange for my hair to rip I also noticed my hair felt kind of sticky or coated and running my hand through my hair again it would often rip !. Sadly won’t be buying another bottle and didn’t even finish this one before having to give up . Be careful if you have fine delicate hair using thisremy.a
I've tried every dark blonde and brunette dry shampoo on the market. I have fine hair and wash it about 3x a week. This shampoo not only helps with having it look fresh, I mostly use it for root cover up. It gives me an extra 2-3 weeks between colors. My hair is light blonde but my roots are very salt and pepper (mostly salt). It covers perfectly. Been using it for a few years now. I have fine hair, which can get quite oily. Often with dry shampoos, they thicken the hair and make it really dry. In trying Joico's dry shampoo I am pleased to say I can confidently use this and still go to work, and my hair looks nice. Smells lovely and is so easy to use. First of all if you need shampoo you need this product. It is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G -My hair: thin, straight as an arrow, dry. I live in the AZ desert most the time, the water is terrible, the UV rays bad, the humidity is basically 0% – I have color treated long straight hair. If I didn't find this product I am unsure I would have as thick of hair, definitely not as long of hair. This extends the time between washes A LOT, it has a luxurious smell like NO OTHER dry shampoos in the world, and I have tried everything. The texture of this is SO light and so FRESH. You do feel like you get a wash in by using this – it doesn't add a sheen that some dry shampoos do that make it look oily. This helps give my hair volume as well, which I need. I wish this was cheaper I really do, but its a MUST have for me. I actually order the light tone even though my base is a darker brunette, I tried the brunette tone but I didn't like it as much, it seemed too flat of a tone for my hair, this one does look at little powdery at first in the lighter tone for my hair color but it absorbs quickly and blends in better than the other tone for me.holly.g
I have blonde fine hair. This dry shampoo is the absolute BEST thing ive ever used. I apply it the day after i was my hair and for the next 2-3 days (i wash my hair like twice a week) i dont have to re-touch it at all. It doesnt make my hair feel dirty, it doesnt cake up my hair and sit ontop of my hair, and I RARELY ever have to reapply it every day up until my wash. When I had this dry shampoo I took it for granted. I assumed all dry shampoos were this good of quality. However after switching to the IGK, I realized that other dry shampoos such as the IGK leave white flake-like residue that looks like dandruff! That’s a nightmare, especially if you have dark hair! There are some bad reviews and I get it, but here's the thing, you shouldn't be using dry shampoo every day or even every other day. If you're hair is that oily then you're better off washing it. Over use of any dry shampoo would leave to dry, damaged hair. It's literally stripping all the good oils. That being said, this dry shampoo is perfect for time crunch hair styles (day of hair wash but have to go into work first) and I'll definitely be repurchasing. Doesn't weigh hair down. ok so i had this recommended to me by then stylist who recently cut my hair at the ULTA salon, but its amazing!! i have thick hair that gets oily the second day, i workout all the time which means i basically sweat my hairline out everyday. i used a small amount of this and no joke it made my hair look like i just washed it for a whole two days afterwards. you have to really rub it in but by god its a miracle!! it gives a good amount of volume and i was able to flat iron it straight the next day to extend my hair further. i gave this four stars bc it does leave a thicker residue but it washes out fine on the next shampoo (honestly its probably what kept soaking up the sweat and oil lol). I am impressed with this product. the price per ounce is much better vs another brand similarly priced brand like Drybar. I got a trial size version of this and hated it. It seemed to make my hair greasier. Turns out it needed a good shake to remix it. After that I fell in love. I have a super oily scalp and my thick hair can get washed in the morning and be 3rd day greasy by late afternoon. This saves me from having to resort to the dreaded greasy onion bun the day after washing. I can get away with 4 days without washing with this. It’s great for camping. Some tips: shake the can before using and pull sections of hair upwards and spray underneath. Spray in short blasts so you don’t overdo it. Let it sit for awhile then brush through your hair to disperse it. It’s best to use a few hours before styling or the night before so it has time to absorb the excess oil. It smells very hair product-y but that goes away with time (or a spritz of perfume!).barstr7

I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! I feel like shopping for dry shampoo had become a guessing game for me. I would buy one, only to be disappointed by the crunchy feeling that it left behind or the greasy feeling just being masked, while weighing my hair down. However, that has all changed! To say that I love this product is a huge understatement. I could tell right away that this product did the job! My hair texture, weight, and appearance all changed as I massaged the dry shampoo into my scalp. While I used this product just to put my hair back up again, I would feel confident enough to style my hair down with this. My hair isn’t terribly greasy, but I like to stretch out washes as much as possible and I know this product will help do that so much better than others. Thank you to Influenster and Vegamour for this complimentary product to test. On first attempt, I pulled the cap off and the aerosol spray top flew off. I managed to get it back on and after shaking, sprayed on my roots. The dry shampoo left a light grey residue so it looked as if I had grey hair and needed to touch up my roots. As someone with curly hair I usually don’t brush through my dry shampoo (yes I’m also a mom so I tend to use dry shampoo more often than most), but was forced to in this instance to get the grey residue to disappear. Once I brushed out the grey residue, my hair looked and felt great. I appreciate that this is meant to help prevent hair loss, as I am also a woman with PCOS. I struggle at times with hair loss as a result so I hope to see perhaps a slowing with this product. Update: this has been helping – I am seeing less hair in the drain following my daily shower. This is the absolute best dry shampoo I’ve ever used. My scalp gets super oily and my hair is very thin, it gets oily the same day I wash it. Before this dry shampoo, I could not more go than two days without washing. There was no dry shampoo able to handle my extra oily scalp. Vegamour dry shampoo is amazing and I go through it really fast. Wish they offered value packages like they do with the serum. One bottle lasts me about two weeks. I also would like them to do something about their shipping speed which is ridiculously slow. I am in absolute need of my bottle and my subscription order was shipped 10 days ago but it still hasn’t arrived to my house. I am in the continental US and even the slowest USPS doesn’t take as long as Vegamours shipments do. I wish they would change their logistics provider to a faster one. The search for the best dry shampoo is over! This is it! I have tried every dry shampoo trying to find what works best for my fine/oily hair. Although I have dark hair I don’t mind that this comes out white. This is the easiest one to work the white cast out without making the “magic” disappear. I did pick the original scent. I was initially worried it was going to be very heavily fragranced as Drybar products usually are (not that it’s a bad thing), but it’s not. The scent is softer than expected, pleasant, and comforting. It’s not overly gritty or sticky, it’s more of a light powdery feel which is why I think it soaks up the oil better! I have relatively oily hair, so I can't normally make it longer than 2 days without noticeable greasy roots. I searched for the best dry shampoos and found that some left a white residue on my roots no matter what, or even made my hair appear more oily than it was before I applied the dry shampoo. I fell in LOVE with DryBar Detox dry shampoo about 2 years ago and would never recommend or buy another brand. It's somewhat pricey, but absolutely worth every penny. It works SO well, I've even used it multiple times on the same unwashed hair over the course of 7+ days… and it smells incredible!! I've found the best method of application is to shake and spray approx 8 inches from the root to separated sections of hair before I get in the shower. After I shower, I'll massage it into my roots and rub the dampened towel over my roots (head flipped upside down). Then style as usual!! Oof I did not like this product. Ive been using Bumble and Bumble pret a powder for years and it’s the BEST, but just thought I’d try something new.. First, the smell is HORRIBLE, it’s so strong and lasted all day. Every time my hair flipped I got a big whif. Also didn’t really feel like it did anything…? It did blend into my darker roots easily when I rubbed it in which was nice, but my hair still looked a bit greasy. I was also hoping it would provide some texturizing, but it didn’t. Perhaps the last part is on my because it’s not a texturizer like the BB one. I’ll be sticking with what I know and returning this product. Not the best dry shampoo at all. I’ve used many and this is the type that will leave your hair with powdery white film on it that is full and takes away the shine. And it does feel like a build up is left so it does not help me with oily second day hair at all. It weighs down my fine hair, so they’re going back. My favorite dry shampoos include B&B pret d powder and I’ll stick with that. The scents do last, and maybe some people like this formula of dry shampoo. I have sets of these in Amazing and Pure Grace. Yes, any dry shampoo will show up white if you spray too much too close. My hair smells wonderful every day. Anyone close to me tells me how good I smell. Women in medical offices beg me to tell them what scent I am wearing. When I say it's my Philosophy Dry Shampoo, they want to buy it. It helps that my hair looks good. I buy extras to gift to these nurses. I've only had oily hair since a medication change. The stories I've heard about other brands, awful! I have really long black hair, not dry not oily just normal texture. First off i don't know why people talk about the scent like it's amazing, it's not! I tried to use this a couple times ignoring the scent but it leaves so much white residue. You can't spray it lightly as it just comes out strong no matter how lightly you press on it. I was excited, but it wasn’t good at all. I’ve tried regular spray dry shampoos, mousse ones, and powders. Most of them work at around the same level except a dry powder shampoo I’ve tried from XMONDO. After that I was in love with powder dry shampoo. Unfortunately, I needed some ASAP and Target only had this powder dry shampoo for about the same price as XMONDO’s so I thought it would work as good or at least around there but I have to say it was as bad as the worst regular ones. I would recommend getting a better powder dry shampoo or just get any cheap dry shampoo, it will work better! This one did not remove any oil and left it white. I actually don’t mind the white on my hair too much but when it doesn’t do what it’s suppose to do I don’t want white for no reason. It was a waste of money and I tried it again, twice, and it still didn’t work at all. Don’t recommend at all.Alexa626
I really wanted to love this product, because I love almost everything by Kristin Ess, but it was just "eh" for me. This was my first time using a dry shampoo powder. My roots get VERY oily, so I'm not shy when using a product. This may seem silly, but because this is a pump application, it honestly made my hand/wrist tired by the time I was finished freshening up my hair. I felt like I had to apply a ton of this product for it to do anything, so I'd be pumping and pumping away. On the other hand, I do appreciate the little pump when I'm applying near my part by my forehead because normally I spray and get product on my face. The pump allowed for a little bit more precise application. However, the product itself just did not work well with my hair. I had to apply a ton of this stuff and it still left my roots looking greasy and my hair didn't feel clean. Normally I can apply dry shampoo every other day, or touch up certain areas when needed, but I found myself dumping this product on everyday which then made my scalp extra itchy and led to sooner wash days. I will say, it did not leave a white cast on my brunette hair, which I appreciated. I will likely keep this around for getting those areas around my face, but otherwise, I will not be repurchasing this product.katie.d
The dry shampoo is PHENOMENAL! Unscented, effective for absorbing oil, refreshing second, third, fourth day hair & volumizing. It doesn’t leave marks on your shirt, doesn’t irritate the scalp it’s literally ✨perfect✨ except for one little thing, the packaging! Once you’re a little less than halfway through the bottle, a tiny puff of product comes out with every 10 squeezes. So FRUSTRATING! You can’t just remove the lid & shake it because the powder is so finely milled that it goes everywhere. Please improve the packaging!JessiHang
