So first off, the fibers on the pad are supposed to come off on your face, it literally says that on the package so I don't know why people are writing negative reviews about that, second off, I am a skincare junkie and have spent a depressing amount of money looking for a product like this. The only way I can describe it is it's like a clarifying shampoo for your face. It seriously sucks everything out of your pores and removes residues from years of makeup and serums you didn't even realize were suck there and leaves your skin feeling so clean and soft instead of dry and tight like a lot of exfoliating pads do. It feels like factory resetting your skin with a completely clean slate, which is good especially if you use makeup and primers with a lot of silicones in them because they tend to not come off very easily. I didn't even want to put my serums on afterwards because my pores have never looked or felt so clean before. I will definitely be using this product for the rest of my life. I should have read the reviews more throughly before purchasing, but I got these today and tried them. Just as others have said, within second of using the first side of the pad, it fell apart and started disintegrating into tiny white pieces all over my face. I continued to use it (both sides) as instructed and upon rinsing all the white paper chunks off my face, my face was super smooth. I wanted to use this for a couple weeks before writing a review. I am obsessed with oils, but unfortunately a lot of them lead to breakouts on me except for a select few if I only use them at night after the rest of my skincare. This one intrigued me because it is mostly cold pressed seed oils which are molecularly smaller and easier to absorb. I apply 2 drops over my moisturizer (ole henriksen strength trainer) in the morning and my makeup applies beautifully over it. I apply 3 drops at night over the same moisturizer and my skin loves this stuff. It absorbs more than any oil I’ve ever tried. It doesn’t absorb entirely, there’s still a bit that stays dewy and glowy, but not a complete oil slick like others that just sit on top and never soak in. It had made my skin SO soft and smooth and cleared any active breakouts. My skin was breaking out a bit when I first started using it, but my period was coming and was the real culprit. Because after my period, my skin cleared right up and I’ve been using this oil consistently day and night all the way through. I think I’ve finally found the right oil blend for my skin. I have dry skin with occasional hormonal breakouts. I’ve tried Sunday Riley (Luna, Juno, CEO), Fresh, Josie Maran, Clarins, dermalogica, korres, etc. If there’s a face oil in the line, I’ve used it! This one takes the cake. I’ve been wanting to try the True Botanicals Renew radiance oil, but this one is more than half the cost and works phenomenally. So give it a try! Fantastic added moisture in the winter! I add a couple of drops to my face right before I rub my moisturizer on. My skin feels particularly velvety and hydrated, giving my moisturizer that little extra kick when its super dry out. I haven't noticed any kind of break outs or reaction to this product, and I have a tendency to have pretty sensitive skin around my chin and cheeks. I'm interested to see if this is still the case in the warmer months. There is a kind of earthy oil smell when first applying but it goes away near immediately once it has soaked in. I received a sample of a face oil from a different line and, while it did turn me on to oils, I thought I could find something better. This oil does an amazing job of locking in hydrating, subtly primping, and adding a dewy glow. My skin can be acne prone at times, but I haven’t had any blemishes due to this product. Compared to DE’s oil, the Summer Friday oil has a thicker consistency, but I feel it absorbs better than the thinner DE product. Compared to Saint Jane’s face oil, this SF oil doesn’t seem to calm and even skin tone quite as well, but the texture, hydration, plumping, not to mention the price tag, makes this a clear winner between the two. As the last step in my nighttime routine, I warm a few drops of oil and press it into my skin. This mask is great for those looking for an overnight soothing and blemish reducing product. It’s a green smooth gel-like consistently, and comes in a glass jar with well thought out design like the other masks from the The Body Shop. I used it about three times a week, over night, and thought it did do a good job and reducing my blemishes. However, reducing is all I really thought it did. It’s not a miracle mask that will completely clear your face overnight. But it leaves your skin more visibly clear, moisturized and toned. It’s definitely one of the more GENTLER products from their Tea Tree line, which I love, since I have sensitive skin. I struggled with my skin tremendously in my 20s. A dermatologist put me on Rx meds when several topical creams failed, and my skin finally cleared up. This little gem came in a bundle that I purchased to try out different products. I recommend folks to purchase bundles to get the vast array of products that they offer. I happened upon this site by chance while searching for aftershave. It was just a couple of months ago, and my "routine" was to brush my teeth in the morning, and at night shower with Irish spring bar soap and whatever shampoo/conditioner was on sale at CVS. I saw the free sample offer, and figured, why not? Browsing the site after ordering a sample kit, I figured I'd use the samples that I cared to, throw out the rest, but it didn't matter because I'd definitely never buy any soaps or moisturizers that were so expensive. I was completely blown away. The first thing that I used was the charcoal face soap, in the morning shortly after waking up. I'd never used a soap that left me feeling so clean, but was so gentle on my face. And the subtle minty coolness-it was invigorating, I felt fully awake and ready to start my day. I always thought that "invigorating face wash" was marketing BS that sounded good, but didn't really mean anything. After that, I went through the samples a bit more seriously, and started using the serums and creams in the morning and at night, and started to notice that my skin looked and felt healthier, which was something that I never paid attention to or cared about. I was pleasantly surprised with how long the tiny sample tubs lasted, too, which put the price point into perspective. The premium price tag is because they are premium products with high quality ingredients that work very well in small amounts. I made sure to place my first real order soon enough that I wouldn't run out of anything and break my new routine. Fast forward to today, I started my day by washing my face with charcoal face wash, followed by spritzing with toner, an application of day serum, and moisturized with eye balm and resurfacing cream. After a long, hot day of work in the kitchen, I showered with the all-purpose hair and body wash, after getting out, another spritz of toner, used the renewing face scrub before shaving- I haven't tried Brickell shave oil or cream yet, those are next-followed by your aftershave. Before bed, another round of charcoal soap, night serum, eye balm, and revitalizing cream. This has gotten a bit long, but I wanted to use the review of this routine to mention how much I love all of these Brickell products. I’ve always been a big believer in Prevention is the best for of treatment. I broke out insanely, like never before. So i started to search for face washes, moisturizers, etc. at first i found harry’s..loved it..used an aveeno face moisturizer with the best reviews on amazon and considered number 1..hated the smell & it irritated my eyes..go figure it seemed to have some weird gold flakes or sparkles lol screw that. Not a single breakout from mostly using face wash and moisturizer twice a day as they recommend. No oily skin, no acne, dark spots going away, nice dry feel but my face looks good. I like to keep it simple. So i went with the face care routine. Turns out clarifying gel dried my skin…so it wasn’t for me now. I now use the purifying charcoal face wash with the moisturizer. I have noticed a steady improvement in men's skincare over the last several years and I have to say your products are right up there with some of the best I have used. I turn 52 this year and although look younger I'm vain and want to keep it that way as long as I can…lol! I started with this trio and have recently ordered an additional face wash and added the face scrub this time to give it a try along with the charcoal body bar and the free sample kit to try out some other products in your line. The one thing I am most picky about with skincare is a moisturizer and this one is perfect. I have oily/combination skin and live in a humid climate about 4-5 months out of the year and this stuff isn't heavy at all, absorbs nicely and does what I need it to do and gives a really nice matte finish to my skin. A little goes a long way, like seriously less than a dime size does my whole face and neck. The toner is lighter in fragrance which I am fine with and doesn't dry my skin out or make it feel tight but works for controlling oil and getting rid of razor burn. So I have had stubborn, folliculitis type bumps on my shoulders and chest for about 3 years that doctors have gone back and forth trying to treat, from various OTC acne and KP treatments, sulfur washes, BPO, tretinoin, anti fungals…At one point I even stopped working out to avoid sweating, refused to wear my hair down, started wearing only baggy clothes.. I previously used the corsx snail mucin essence and never really understood the hype. It was too sticky for me. I recently bought this because I love the Fresh brand. This product is amazing! After toner you use it and it really makes your skin look moisturized without being oily. I have oily/shiny skin and if anything this helps it look more hydrated and help the products sink into my skin better. I have tried fermented essences in the past (ranging from super expensive to more budget friendly) but this is the first essence where I’ve seen a dramatic difference in the clarity and softness of my skin texture. As a person with combination skin I'm constantly searching for that clay mask that keeps my oils and pores under control, while not over drying my skin; and the Clear Purifying Mask manages to tick all boxes! A clay mask will never fix the fact I have larger pores, but using one two times a week keeps them clear and helps with their appearance. I haven't noticed any `future breakouts` prevention, but my oils are kept under control, and along with the other skincare products in my routine I get minimal breakouts. What surprised me with this mask is how soothing it is; it's more comfortable on the skin than my old favorite (Skin Balancing Oil Absorbing Mask), even as it dries out. Several times I left it more than 10 minutes and it was fine; the Skin Balancing mask becomes uncomfortable if left too long. As any other clay mask it's not that easy/clean to rinse, but I usually do it in the shower to save me the effort. A little does go a long way, but it's a mask, it should be applied in a thick opaque layer to fully be effective. I have very sensitive skin and sometimes this mask stings a little, but not in an uncomfortable way; I would advise care from people with willow bark known sensitivities. Applies and sets really well on the skin. I use once a week after cleansing as an extra boost for my skin. It makes it feel clean and not oily at all, and my toner, exfoliant and moisturiser feel great when I apply them after I've cleaned it off. I received this product from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. First of all, the smell is AMAZING! This scrub really smells like a pumpkin spice flavored treat! In addtion to the lovely scent it becomes warm when you begin working it into you skin and the scrub granules themselves are very gentle and not abrasive or harsh. Since one of the ingredients is coconut oil it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, it doesn't strip your skin like many scrubs do. The texture really feels like a soft lotion that soon will dry. The smell really smells like tea tree and honey and leaves your skin feeling relaxed and warm. I have never had my face feel so clean before. Although some not so good reviews say that it’s “burning” or they aren’t “seeing” good results is because of their skin sensitivity toward the product. Freeman Beauty is my favorite mask brand and has been for a while. The is not my favorite from the brand, however that does not mean it isn’t a good product. Because this is a 2-in-1 between a clay mask and a cleanser it doesn’t solidify as much as the regular clay mask, however it’s effectiveness is unchanged. After using the mask, my face feels smooth to the touch and I have little to no visible pores. My only issue I have with the product is that it slightly irritates my eyes. The packaging does clearly state to avoid the eye area however, even when my eye region is completely clear of product slight eye irritation still occurs. I go to the product ingredient list and find that bentonite is one of the most present ingredients which is a common chemical used in the formulation of mask, in particular the texture of clay mask. This chemical is also a known eye irritant. The slight eye irritation also leads me to believe that this product would not work well for those who have sensitive skin. Overall, I do enjoy using this product and have used it numerous time. I do recommend this product however with caution. Make sure to avoid the eye region and to be safe do a patch test if you have sensitive skin.aj.f
First of all, there is a lot of product. I bought this for $1.99 and have used it twice and there's still enough for one, MAYBE two more times. And I'm using a decent amount each time. As far as how it works, it not bad. I don't see some remarkable change in my skin. It does look like there are a bit less backheads on my nose and chin, but not real noticable. It says "instantly deep cleans and controls oil" while this is true, it also suggests your face be clean when applying. So yeah my face is already clean when I use this. And also I have to use warm water after, so it's also clean and oil free after too. Though it doesn't take long for my face to feel oily again. All in all, I do like this product. I ordered this based off the reviews I've read and decided to try it out. The worst that can happen is it messes up my face right!? WRONG!! It makes my face so soft!! I have very sensitive skin, but also have problems with oil and blemishes. I have used many exfoliators over the years, and every single one of them dried my skin out and made it feel way too sensitive. This one does not! It made my skin smoother, half of my blackheads disappear, and did not leave my skin red in just the first use. Because my skin is so sensitive, I will only be using this product once a week or so, but I really do love it! The bottle was smaller than I had expected, but a little goes a long way. I use the seaweed mask from the same line, and the smell between the two products is not comparable. Wow, I am shocked by so many of the negative reviews. This is my go-to mask. I have tried many from Target and this one is my favorite! It’s perfect for when you want self care time. It does not have a bad smell. It’s tea tree and actually has a calming scent to it. I had a slight tingling or burning when I first put it on but it went away almost immediately. I have encountered this in other masks as well. I have no redness. But omg my pores shrink considerably and my face looks more even and pure! I absolutely love this mask. It’s a mud mask so yes, it takes a bit of rinsing to come off but I love the end result, so it doesn’t bother me. And the price is amazing. My face burnt as soon as i put this mask on. I've used other tea tree and witch hazel products with no issue. I rinsed it right off and my whole face was burnt red as if it was second degree burn. I had to use aloe vera for a few days and my skin felt very damaged. I should have looked at reviews before buying because I saw that other people had their faces burn too after using this. I would not recommend purchasing and Target should definitely take it off its shelves before someone gets very injured. I dont even want to give it one star.Marrian
i was never really a fan of face masks because they never worked for me – i truly thought it was a hoax, until i used this mask. i suffer from pretty bad hormonal acne and i have pretty oily skin that i have finally gained control of. however, this mask does a PHENOMENAL job of decreasing my flare ups and taming them. it may burn a little when i initially put the mask on, but after a couple of minutes it completely subsides. it does seem like a lot of people have had some negative experience with this mask so make sure to do a patch test.SS

I got two samples of these in recent orders. First, the sample pack is SO small you barely get one use out of it. This is really stick, I mean thick sticky. Imagine trying to warm and spread honey over your face. Not pleasant. There us no way this can be "massaged" in because it's just too thick to spread. My face looked marginally brighter on application but that was likely my 111 Skin serum that I used under this. Never experienced anything quite so terrible in texture.
