I absolutely love my new flat iron that also allows for the ease of doing my hair while it’s wet. What a time saver it has been for me going to Nursing school & Work! The quality is excellent. It has air holes allowing it to vent and express steam and dry your hair while it is wet or damp. I set it at 300 temperature and it takes 10 seconds to heat up so it’s ready to start straightening right away. However it does take a bit for it to cool down. The iron is a great size for those of us that small irons aren’t enough. You can take a whole big section and it flattens easily and looks great. So bigger sections also allow for getting done a lot quicker. No need to take small sections to get a great look. I love the 360 swivel of the cord that keeps it from getting tangled so easily and creating a short life for the iron. You can use both hands without constantly trying to move the cord out of the way. I used to own a Hot Tools flat iron, but once I received this flat iron for Christmas a few years ago, the Hot Tools one was promptly donated. The best part of this flat iron is how securely it clamps onto my hair. I don't need an iron grip in order to get good tension; the flat iron does it on its own. It also heats up extremely quickly – if I spray heat protectant on my hair and then immediately turn on the flat iron, the heat protectant will not be dry before the flat iron comes to temp. I also love the multiple temperature settings. I have loosely wavy hair that holds heat styling well, and I always have the temperature set to 365° F. My sister has curly hair, so when I'm doing her hair, we either keep the temperature at 365° or increase it one setting (to around 400°) depending on the day. I also love the aesthetics of this flat iron and of Kristin Ess' entire line of tools. The soft touch is nice and grippy, and it's never slipped out of my hand. I've owned this flat iron for years, and even though I don't straighten my hair every day, I've never had an issue with anything rubbing off. This is the first, and probably only, flat iron I would recommend to anyone asking for it.Katie
I used this flat iron about once a week and loved it. The temperature heats very quickly but the downside is that it shuts off after 30 minutes. I have really long thick hair and it takes me about one hour to straighten all of it. So it’s a bit of an inconvenience shutting off after 30 minutes. I was really disappointed that after having it for only a few months, it began malfunctioning, saying “error” on the display and turning off every 10 minutes.
I have the nanoblack 3-in-one flat iron (couldn’t find it in Influenster) the full size, not the mini. It has a 9ft cord that moves with the iron (like if you’re doing curls) it’s not fixed to it, this is helpful if you’re like me have hair past your butt + it helps keep your cord from getting twisted. This iron is beautiful, it has a very soft silky feel to it is super sleek looking. It’s fairly light weight comfortable to hold. My hand wrist don’t get tired half way through doing my hair. It doesn’t have a lock on it to keep it closed but it does come with a cap you can slide over the end which keeps it closed, the instructions sheet says the cap is heat proof but I don’t quite trust that it is so I leave the iron in my sink until it cools down before putting the cap on (which fits quite snugly) hanging it up. As far as heat up time WOW this thing heats up FAST! It took less than 30 seconds for it to get up to temp! The sides are rounded so you can easily do curls without getting crease lines in them, although I haven’t quite mastered the technique of curling with a flat iron yet. One thing I was worried about was that hair would snag but after using it a few times that’s no longer a concern. My hair slides through it like silk. It has ceramic plates which are great for those of us who tend to get static hair after using hot tools (ugh the worst) It has a few different heat settings. I did have to look up how to do that since there’s no dial or specific button for that but it was easy to do. Just keep clicking the power button quickly until it’s the temp you want. When you plug it in you have to hit the power button, it doesn’t just start heating up on its own like other irons I’ve owned in the past. With all that being said I definitely do recommend this iron if you’re in the market for a new one. It came in a really nice heavyweight cardboard box with a magnetic flap, I’m sure most will throw it away but if you’re like me keep the boxes to repurpose or so your tools are more protected during travel this is a good box that won’t be crushed or damaged easily.krystal .d

This brand and product was the first flat iron I owned, after the first one broke several years after, I was gifted another brand that after several years broke as well. Straight from the box, this straightener has a soft high-quality feel and sleek look. It’s really nice to hold due to whatever material it’s made out of. It’s light and the cord swivels, allowing for a range of motion, so for those of you who want to use it to create waves or curls, it’s really convenient. The straightener also has an auto-shut off feature, which is exactly what I needed because I always worry that I forgot to turn my straightener off. Oddly enough, due to the auto-shut off, this straightener has alleviated a lot of stress for me. Lastly, regarding design, it comes with a heat-proof nozzle, which is such a nice feature when you have a small countertop like I do and tend to burn yourself after you’ve finished straightening your hair. As for straightening, this works wonderfully. I have fine wavy hair that tends to frizz at the tips and curl. It takes me fifteen minutes to straighten my hair, but this straightener made my hair look shinier and straighter without any kinks. It definitely works as intended and it’s just such a really lovely product.
For this straightener to cost as much as it does, you’d think it would work properly. I have naturally curly hair which can take about 30 minutes to straighten. This thing shuts off at least 5 times while I’m using it. You don’t realize it until you’ve gone over one piece of hair 6 times because it doesn’t seem to want to straighten. Then you have to wait 2-3 minutes for it warm back up. I end up spending so much more time doing my hair than I normally would. I would recommend purchasing a different brand.Ms24

It is so cute and feels so fancy! It comes in a sturdy box that you could reuse and just looks so well presented. Anyways on to the actual product…\n\nThis iron feels so nice in your hand. I have small hands and i think it is the perfect size. Better yet it is coated in such a soft rubbery type material on the surface which makes it easy to grip and less likely to slip. As someone who easily burns herself on irons by having them slip this is a huge plus for me. At first I was confused where the digital display would be (before I turned it on) but once I did and saw it light up in the pretty rose gold part at the bottom I was very excited. That makes it seem very high end and fancy. Another really great design is the power button- it is on the inside of the straightening iron. How many times have I accidentally turned the power off or the heat up or down? Too many! This totally solves that issue because you can accidentally push a button on the inside. You control the heat and power with that one button and it’s very easy to understand and do. \n\nAnother thing about the design of this iron is the very cool heat resistant cover that comes with it. I haven’t seen this in any other iron and I’m very impressed with it. For storage, traveling, and every day use a cover is beyond helpful to avoid burns. Additionally there is an automatic shut off, which is pretty much a necessity for anyone who is forgetful. You might have unplugged the iron, but can you really remember when you think about it at work and worry about your house burning down? This relieves that headache. The last design element I will mention is the perfectly curved outside shape around the iron which makes curling hair with the iron a breeze. It is so much better than doing it with a flat boxy iron. \n\nOn to the performance- this iron heats up so quick! Most of us get ready in a hurry so that is such a nice feature. There are four heat settings which are easy to change. It claims to reduce frizz which i think it does- but in the middle of this dry winter it creates some serious static. I haven’t had that issue with other irons but maybe it is just this time of year and the room I was in. Not a huge deal, just wet your fingers and smooth it down a tad bit. \n\nThe iron works wonders on all types of hair. I tried it on short hair, long hair, corse hair, fine hair, curly hair, freshly washed hair, days old hair, etc. In every case it straightened the hair in one quick pass and looked great. I included some pictures below of two people I tried it on. I don’t personally have the curling effect down great so I didn’t demonstrate that in the pictures but I was able to make curls ranging from loose to more spiral (within the width of the actual iron). \n\nOverall I am very impressed with this product. I have had this flat iron for 4 months now, and I love it. My hair is frizzy, thick, naturally wavy, and I like to wear it board straight. I do not have the titanium one yet to compare the two but I am interested in trying it as this one does an amazing job and it was the cheaper of the two. It leaves my hair super shiny, smooth, frizz free, and does not damage my hair at all, though my hair has no color in it so not sure how it would handle in that case. The handle does get somewhat hot as previous reviewers have stated but not to the point where I cannot use it. This was the first flat iron I ever got. Thank God I have upgraded to a better one. I couldn't stand dealing with this one. Then again my hair is super curly. I am mixed (black and white) so I have very thick long curly hair. I'm not sure how this straightener would've worked on a different hair type, but I know that I eventually resorted to just using it to straighten my bangs. Effectiveness It worked OKAY. I usually had to straighten the smallest sections of hair in order to get it straightened properly. I also had to straighten over the same small pieces of hair a few times to get it straight. There are different heat settings. I usually set mine to the highest because that's what my hair needed. Make sure you do clean it from time to time because that will effect the iron's ability to straighten the way it should. Durability This flat iron is cheaply made. SO BE CAREFUL WITH IT. I have always used a curling iron even when the flat iron become the new thing. I already have straight hair but it lacks body and volume. The Conair Ultra Slim looked like a experimental flat iron since it's very affordable. I like the curve to the handle, this feature makes it easy to use and feels comfortable the whole time. I figure a slim flat iron would be a better fit for my hair, it's not thick, but it's not thin either. It took me so long to section off each part if my hair and go over it with this Ultra Slim Flat Iron! I used a flat iron spray to help with the hold, and after it was all said and done my hair looked straight but laid flat on my head. I've learned new techniques since purchasing this flat iron and see where this one can help with getting close enough to the roots to add volume. The settings go up to 25, so there's a range of heat to use, it also heats up fast in under a minute. Since it took me so long to go over my entire head of hair I will now use this one as a touch up flat iron or a back up while I travel. I’ve been straightening my hair for over 10 years and have gone through a lot of flat irons. I would skip this one. I read the reviews for purchasing, and I should’ve listened. As a flat iron, it’s just okay. It does take multiple passes to straighten as others have stated. I have moderately wavy to curly hair, so nothing too crazy, and it does a mediocre job. This does pull at my hair, which results in fall out. The temp controls are the best I’ve ever across since it allows you to choose basically any heat setting, which is awesome. That isn’t enough to make this straightener worth the purchase though. Definitely skip this and look for a better reviewed flat iron. I will be returning this one.MM
I am really impressed with this Revlon Pro hair straightener! It did a fantastic job of straightening my hair, and it did it very quickly and efficiently. I have tried out a few hair straighteners lately, and one of the things that set this one apart was the temperature display as well as the ability to set the exact temperature that I wanted to straighten my hair. I also like how quickly this heated up! This one really was ready to go in about ten seconds, perfect for when you're short on time, which I'm guessing most of us are! I also like the locking feature. That's better for storing the straightener as well as travelling with it. When you're ready to lock the unit simply close it, then slide the lock button over to hold it in a closed position. I did find that this straightener is best for actually straightening hair rather than attempting to curl it. The plates have a rather squared off edge, so when I attempted to curl my hair using this it gave the curl a kinky edge. However, I was very impressed at how well this device straightened my hair, and how long my style held after I took the time to straighten it. I'm very pleased with this unit. The straightener it's OK if you already have straight or slightly wavy hair because it doesn't really change your hair that much. I've been using the straightener for about a year now and currently shopping for a new one because I'm just not satisfied I feel like I straighten my hair and two hours later it's catching some type of wave I also have naturally straight hair so it's very frustrating because I don't expect much from a straightener than to actually hold the straight style. I don't honestly see a less damaging affect I feel like if anything all of my split ends are a lot more noticeable I've also noticed that both sides of the plates don't get evenly hot. I give it three stars because it's cute it has a cool digital temperature setting and the color is nice but as far as effectiveness goes it's really not that great. I am 54 w/thin bleached blonde hair for abt 36 yrs now. I have never paid more than $30 for a hair straightener in my life, always used the cheap ones like Conair etc. During the last 21 days of Beauty (Sept 2020) this straight iron was like half off & still at that price a little out of my "common sense in the head buying range". No clue why people are having issues with this iron. I've had it for a year and used it about 4-6 times a month since I try not to use heat on my hair too much, and it's still in perfect condition. I want to take good care of my styling tools, but I usually leave in a hurry so I usually just put mine on the floor or roll up the cord and shove it underneath my sink, and it survived that mistreating LOL I even took it with me in my suitcase twice on trips, still works perfectly. I have very crazy, poofy medium – thick unruly curly hair; the type that you pick at and it fros up. I bought it back in 2013 and it still works great (it's now 2016). Even distribution of heat, does not damage my hair and IT DOES GET MY HAIR NICE AND STRAIGHT. It's slim and has a nice curve to it so curling is very much possible with this iron. So i like to think it's a multi iron not only a flat iron. You have a 1 degree to 450 degree possible heat setting lol. It's a rotator button so you get to choose or estimate around where you want your heat to be. It's not a one time pass over your hair like it's expensive comrads like the titanium or more pricier ceramics in the $100's so you have to pass over your hair a few times to get it straight, but when you do, your hair is left soft and with sheen. ( though, I do wonder if it's because of my heat protectent + touch of oil I use that does that. I never EVER flat ironed my hair with out either or so I'm not sure if its the products or iron or BOTH lol…BUT!) this iron is on your side. Over time though it has picked up the habit of snagging at my hair but, it's a three year old flat iron veteran, it was bound to start getting old on me. This is NOT an iron you should use to go from wet hair to straight hair. You need to have dry hair, whether through blow drying or air drying because that will damage your hair, no matter what kind of iron you use. I don't believe in wet to dry with flat irons for CURLY NATURAL hair. Maybe for easier hair textures but not natural / real thick curly hair. Over all, for the price, this iron is GREAT. It last a good long time ( during the first year i was really abusing it, then the last two years i used this iron about 12 times a year + touch ups I straighten my hair monthly or month and a half ) and my hair never really fell out of my head or started thinning. =)Ruby the unruly.

Love the Miss Priss. I had the 1&it stopped working but as soon as I contacted Head Kandy Customer Service,they were 100% on board with doing everything they could to take care of me&replacing the Miss Priss with a brand new 1 with the cost of just 10$. I usually only ever buy the cheap straighteners and they get the job done but the results were never as good as I get from the salon and their high-quality tools. Well, the Miss Priss gives me the lasting results I want. It’s a beautiful color, comfortable to use, I love the temp display and range of temp options. The cord is plenty long enough. And I’m able to quickly and easily straighten or curl my hair usually in the first past. My only complaint is that the controls are on the inside of the handle instead of in an easier to access location on the outside or side of the handle.Roseanne M.

This is a little bit on the expensive side. But I wanted a good one so here we are. The cord is heavy duty which is good it’s not going to short out or get damaged cause it’s so thick but it gets in the way at times. Otherwise it’s very smooth on my hair. One pass is accurate maybe 2. If I have it on low setting. My hair looks sleek and straight and very shiny and glass like with this. It’s worth the investment. I bought this straightener a couple years ago at Sephora, I was debating between this one and a ghd one. After reading reviews, I decided to go with this Bio Ionic straightener because it was also cheaper. I was super excited to try it because it claimed to have these silicone strips that helped smooth and straighten even more. I have very frizzy wavy natural hair so I wanted this to work. After several attempts to straighten my hair, I found it was not a product that worked for my hair. My hair would get stuck in the blades and when I tried to rip my hair out I would burn myself. I was not a fan of how it worked. No matter how I tried, my hair got stuck when trying to clamp and slide down in sections, even very small ones. I also found it funny the name of it was called “one pass� when I actually had to go down several times on the same section to even get it remotely straight. I ended up returning it and buying the ghd one and paying the difference in price. I personally wouldn’t recommend this flat iron. There are many other options that do a better job to smooth and straighten hair. Especially for paying almost $300, you would hope this would work wonders.caitlin.w

Ive had this flat iron for about 4 1/2 years now. I'm black with a thick (bra strap length) curly hair texture thats easy to comb through/maintain. When i first got the iron i thought the temp had be set at 40 to get the super straight results that I wanted. Welp, guess what….I WAS DEAD WRONG. Its not like those "cheapy" flat irons that come a dime a dozen. Within a month I ended up with unwanted bangs, and breakage all over. I hated my hair straight and I could no longer wear it curly because it would only curl at the roots. It was a nightmare!! Thinking back at the situation still makes me cringe. Flash forward….My hair is still growing out in some places, but its back to being long and mostly healthy. I never blamed the flat iron for my ignorance. I'm extremely picky about my hair and the product I use to straighten my hair because I have naturally semi-curly, so when I use a product I expect it to make my hair look as if it were naturally straight. This does just that! I will ONLY use this product for my hair. Don't let the price scare you. I've had mine for at the very least 3 years so, so it's paid for itself. Every friend i've had use this has always been impressed as well so it just confirms my thoughts that this is an awesome product. I was honestly not expecting to be as blown away as I am by this flat iron! I have very wavy hair that tends to get extremely frizzy when I'm anywhere near any sort of humidity. Unfortunately I live in South Florida so that's basically all the time. The first test I gave this flat iron was when I used it before a night out at an outdoor event, in the summer. All that plus South Florida makes for a difficult test so I was genuinely shocked at how smooth and straight my hair still was at the end of the night. While it is a bit pricey it's something that I basically use everyday so it's well worth the investment. And I don't say that just because of the amazing results I get after every use, it's also because, unlike the majority of flat irons out there, it doesn't damage my hair, something that's extremely important in the short and long term.samantha.s
I have naturally curly, color treated med course hair. I've used Chi and my favorite has always been babyliss but decided to try this one because everyone I know raves about dry bar products and it was on sale. I am returning this flat iron. It has a horrible burning smell, even when not being used, that none of my other flat irons ever did. Additionally, 1 pass at 450 with Babyliss works in my hair and this one required more than that at the same temp. My hair also looked brittle after and I use high quality styling products. With Babyliss I retain some volume but not with this one. Not worth it even if I don't straighten my hair often. Not a good product. Pretty sure any drug store brand would be better.KK
I bought this hoping it would be worth the money and it's been great! I have medium thick/frizzy hair that is somewhat difficult to tame and this iron does a great job. With practice, I can now curl or wave my hair with it (in very little time). Of course, works well to straighten as its main function. Yes, my hair does start to lose shape in high humidity but frankly that's what I except in a high humidity environment as someone who doesn't like to use a lot of products/hair-spray. For reference, I had a CHI before buying this iron. The model I have also has a Memory function so I turn it on, hit the memory button, and it will automatically heat up to the temp which works for my hair. Still going strong. I tried replacing that twice, before settling with another product. This was the first and only issue I had with a product from Head Kandy. Sent this email over 9 days ago with no response still today. Customer service definitely not a plus I ordered my girlfriend the miss priss flat iron and some other products for her birthday which was August 11. I received the order August 2 but did not give it to her until her birthday on the 11th. She tried the miss priss flat iron and was not happy with it. She has naturally curly hair and it would not straighten her hair completely. She does not want it. I just got on your site for returns and it says to get a refund it has to be within 10 days of delivery. I was wondering since it was a gift if there was anyway I could return it and Not get store credit as she does not want any other products? Thank youBrett F.
