It wasn't difficult to put the bicycle together, just a little time consuming. We have been using it for about 3 weeks now and it works well. There is only one thing that I believe can be improved and that is the pulleys for the arm exercises. They are not very resistant and there is no mechanism to tighten them. If you are happy to just move your arms this isn't a problem, but if you are looking for strength or toning this is not an option. I purchased Slim Cycle as a last resort. I have badly damaged nerves in my lower back and can't stay upright for more than a few moments without crippling pain. My doctor tells me I have to keep moving or I will become totally incapacitated but I have tried almost every type of physical therapy and exercise available, with no success. However, the slim cycle equipment is everything it promises and I can actually use it successfully without pain. The reclining position and cushioned seat take the pressure off my hips and lower back, and the seat back hits in exactly the correct spot to provide support without forcing an uncomfortable position. The frame is sturdy and remains stable while I'm using the bike. Operation is absolutely silent and I can hold a conversation without raising my voice or watch TV without increasing the volume. My muscles are so deteriorated that it's going to take awhile for me to see any real health or weight benefits but I'm absolutely certain that, if I abandon my new exercise program, it will be because I myself have lost my initiative and not because the bike doesn't meet my needs! This is a decent bike. The seat is comfortable and is very supportive. It really helps with my arthritic legs and I am steadily losing weight. The only con is the computer . I called the company because it was defective( the display for everything keeps going out to where only a piece or two of numbers would show, it would not let me reset any of the counters and the calories was stuck); the company sent another replacement computer. The second one is malfunctioning because of the odometer(it never resets while everything else does). Although the computer is giving me problems, the seat adjusts like it is supposed to for height, the pedal system still works well and the tension works. I think it is an ok buy thus far and I have had it since October 15, 2018.amy1
I initially began looking for the typical upright style bike, but having a back problem, I turned to the recumbent style. As my wife was looking over my shoulder, she suggested I look at one with the back-rest support on it as well. I’m glad she said something…once I got the unit assembled, and tried it out, I realized how important the back-rest was for me. I now know I would not be able to use a unit without it. It was fairly easy to assemble…I only pinched my fingers once. I was impressed with the quality of the unit…it seems to be very well made. It is very quiet during use. The online ad information didn’t say anything about a pulse rate monitor…this unit does have one, built into the handles. The seat and backrest are both comfortable. I am about five-three and had no problem fitting this equipment. I have only used it for a few minutes at this point, but am comfortable knowing that with my physical limitations, I will be able to get some exercise with this unit. My wife who is an exercise nut, and has never been a fan of stationary bikes, also likes it. I get the impression this bike is going to get a lot of use. Broken within 6 months. I bought this bike last summer. After a few months the right petal started making a weird sound like there were rocks bands in the center of machine. After a few days of the noise it only got worse. I noticed little metal balls came out of the petal and the noise became unbearable like metal scratching on metal. I contacted the company who manufactured the bike and completed a form for replacement parts. After they confirmed receipt of the form they did not respond to any of my requests for an update and have not sent the replacement part. I love the desk top, it is larger than I thought it would be. . The sliding drawer was a nice surprise. The drink holders are large enough for any cup and they are deep. The seat is comfortable, love the back rest. I assembled it myself with the easy to understand instructions. The packaging was great. It won’t keep track of my miles. If I get up to go to the bathroom or get a water or anything even briefly- it erases my miles. Starts completely all over at 0 miles. Do you know how discouraging this is?? And I can’t find a phone number or contact for them to address this. I want to cry because I have issues I’ve been working on, with my weight, for health reasons. I’ve been trying everything. This is so upsetting and discouraging and frustrating. I'm a self employed individual usually spending 10-14 hours a day sitting at a desk doing cad designs. I find my legs getting stiff usually spending so many hours idle and not up and walking around. I mostly rely on my watch telling me 1 x an hour to get up and move to stay somewhat mobile. Recently I just had meniscus surgery and the recovery program is doing specific excersizes 3-4 x a day. That was my motivator to buy this bike, so I can use it to pedal while maybe working or doing paperwork, watching TV at night etc. I was really happy to see the smoothness & quietness of the pedal mechanism and the ease and durability of the assembly. It has lots of adjustment in so many areas. The only negative thing I notice is the seat back not having enough forward adjustment for shorter people. Im 5'6" and it is still short for me, but my wife who is 5'1" could never use it because of this one area its lacking unless putting a thick pillow behind her. I'm thinking of doing the same even for myself. However overall I really like it and feel it has been a real asset in my recovery program.JW

I’ve had this bike about 3 weeks. It was super easy to put together & easy to move in my own. I assembled it down stairs & carried it up on my own. (I’m a smaller woman) Overall it’s great. I’d say for a smaller person, I’m 5 feet 105 pounds & have the seat on the lowest seating, it’s perfect. A little more padding on the seat would be nice & I have found removing the batteries after use. Sometimes it doesn’t turn off on its own, or saves the past ride info. I bought this for spinning to help with a knee injury, and it seems to do the trick. The bike is sturdy and comfortable and light enough to move around easily. It took about half an hour to put it together with very clear instructions. I'm 5'11'' and I'm on the last adjustment hole. You honestly can't beat the price of this bike. I was looking to get back into a light workout routine after having 2 babies, and didn't want to spend a fortune on just starting out. This bike is just what I need for that. Little things to think about: there's no cupholder. It's not a huge deal to have to keep a table or something nearby where I can reach my water, but sometimes I wish I could just have it right there on the bike. Also, it's not really great for standing cycling positions. It's pretty uncomfortable for standing, I guess it's just not roomy enough with the design of being able to fold up? But it's perfect for what I'm looking for and would recommend.

I assembled it by myself with no problems. The parts fit and lined up well. It is a sturdy bike, it doesn't flex or bend under my weight (203 pounds). The pedaling action is smooth and very quiet. What a wonderful exercise option! Not real easy to assemble, took 1.5 hours. Seat is very comfy for my big behind. My legs are short so I am looking for an idea to make the pedals thicker. This exercise bike is in every way perfect to get enjoyable workouts. It is compact by just removing a pin and pushing it into the 2nd hole so that nothing flops around when you move it on the wheels on the front. The wheels don't touch the ground until you tilt the bike so it is steady when you are riding it with all 4 round rubber pads on the ground. The quiet noise level when working out is the most enjoyable experience as I can watch movies (old Maverick cowboy movies) with the sound not turned up. The peddling motion is really smooth and the readings are easy to read and I can keep my pulse rate right where I want it to be. It takes up very little space when stored up right and is easily moved and fairly light. It takes a 270 lbs man riding easily with no problem. The cost was lower than expected for this quality of a bike. The seat is adjustable for 5' 1" to 5' 7" or 5' 7" to 6' 2". My son in law is 6' 2" at 270 lbs and it works perfect for him. However, this adjustment is not quick as you have to unscrew 3 screws. The work load is also very easy to change with small incremental increases while you are peddling.Donald

I assembled it by myself with no problems. The parts fit and lined up well. It is a sturdy bike, it doesn't flex or bend under my weight (203 pounds). The pedaling action is smooth and very quiet. The adjustable magnetic resistance is a great feature. I like the multi-function digital display, which is easy to read. The seat height adjustment is a little awkward; it is necessary to hold in place while you get a hole lined up, then screw in the locking handle. What a wonderful exercise option! Not real easy to assemble, took 1.5 hours. Seat is very comfy for my big behind. My legs are short so I am looking for an idea to make the pedals thicker. I can still use the bike but can't wait for solution to pedal problem. The readouts on screen are easy to read and advance at a nice pace. Bike is 99% silent…no complaints here! This exercise bike is in every way perfect to get enjoyable workouts. It is compact by just removing a pin and pushing it into the 2nd hole so that nothing flops around when you move it on the wheels on the front. The wheels don't touch the ground until you tilt the bike so it is steady when you are riding it with all 4 round rubber pads on the ground. The quiet noise level when working out is the most enjoyable experience as I can watch movies (old Maverick cowboy movies) with the sound not turned up. The peddling motion is really smooth and the readings are easy to read and I can keep my pulse rate right where I want it to be. It takes up very little space when stored up right and is easily moved and fairly light. It takes a 270 lbs man riding easily with no problem. The cost was lower than expected for this quality of a bike. The seat is adjustable for 5' 1" to 5' 7" or 5' 7" to 6' 2". My son in law is 6' 2" at 270 lbs and it works perfect for him. I am so so happy with this bike. I am 75 and put the bike together by myself in about an hour. Directions are really clear; take your time and enjoy the process of putting it together. Bike is so quiet and very smooth ride. Love the scanner that includes heart rate, miles, calories, time peddling. The bike is really sturdy and fits in an 18 inch square space when closed. Very easy to close and open. Yes, pull the pin to open and close the bike……there are two holes that line up for open and close position. The seat is also really comfortable. In response to P65 for consumers . . .it's a warning label such as don't use a curling iron while in the tub, or consume paint chips. "Should I worry about Prop 65? Probably not. The Prop 65 label is like a noisy alarm that rings equally loudly about smaller amounts of low-risk substances and huge amounts of potentially harmful chemicals. The labels don't say how much of the chemical is present, or how much it would really take to make a person sick." And one key word is "might"! Most items should probably have this label on it! All the toxins we purchase is outrageous-but unless you are licking, consuming, or eating the paint chips, etc. the worries should be labeled but it's safe to use. I bought this bike after I waited too long to buy the recumbent bike and it sold out. I didn’t want the traditional style bike because I felt my caboose was too large for it and the bike seat would be uncomfortable. This model was also on sale with free shipping and against my better judgement I purchased it for $129 pretax and no shipping. I am incredibly glad that I did. This was quick & simple to put together. Anyone could put this together! The directions are easy to read and specific, and there aren’t a lot of parts to decipher what is what or where it goes. The hardest thing for me was deciding what level to choose for the seat (which turns out to be generously sized and comfortable)! It’s compact and light enough to easily move and I’m amazed at how quiet it is! I am 49, 5’1” and my weight was up to 215# when I bought this. There are 8 tension levels on this lil home bike. I started at level 1 for 5 minutes at the beginning of January. It’s now the middle of February and I’m at level 4 and I ride for 45 minutes a day or longer. I’ve lost 20 pounds and 15 inches of fat so far. In the end, I’m glad I had to get this style bike because I don’t feel that I would have worked as hard if I had or had as many moving body parts if I had purchased the recumbent bike. The digital screen is easy to read and use. I hope this lil guy goes many more miles with me and I highly recommend this bike to anyone who wants to exercise and doesn’t want a large piece of equipment or a large price tag. Knowing what I do about this bike, I would willingly pay regular price for it.

I loved this bike when I first got it in early March 2020. I used it daily and then I noticed the pedals became wobbly. I tried tightening them but it was nearly impossible. I managed to tighten the right pedal a bit more than the left pedal. And then it happened, the left pedal fell off in the middle of my workout. I have had this bike for about 8 months and I can no longer use it because the left pedal no longer stays on. I would love a replacement pedal, but no luck finding one. I ride daily, gradually building over time due to age and knees. It's a slow process under my circumstances but this Exerpeutic actually exceeds my expectations for performance. Everything works just like one might suspect it should. I like the under seat handlebars, the easy to adjust digital gauge, and solid seating feel. Assembly takes awhile and I had to tighten up the seat nuts and bolts tighter than I thought so it wouldn't rock a bit back and forth but did and it's just right. While I have not had this long, it is working for me and the price is good for the quality I have observed. I gave four stars because I've not had it too long, not because of what I've found with it. As a whole the bike is a great deal. Assembly was easy, all tools needed are included. The price, imo, is great. It's adjustable to accommodate various user heights/leg length. When collapsed it becomes very compact, taking up not much more room than a large vacuum cleaner. My only complaint, which I knew of before ordering and you'll see echoed through reviews for this bike on EVERY site you can find it for sale, is that the seat is flat out terrible. I spend all of every ride regularly adjusting my position trying to get comfortable or at least not be sore. Minimal support considering this is the version with increased weight limit, especially for your lower back. If you're someone who slouches when not thinking about it you could be in for some lower back pain. Aside from that the seat is just hard as a rock. In a review elsewhere someone said after 15-20 mins you'll be sore and want to get off, and only saving grace is that by 30 minutes you're entire posterior is completely numb and after using the bike numerous times now I can say that's spot on. I've been using an old flattened pillow on the seat to some success so far, but will be ordering a gel cover or bike seat adapter. Plan accordingly, you very likely will need to replace or upgrade the seat for regular use! I am very pleased that I bought this exercise bike. I am 67. I had no problem carrying it inside. It was easy to assemble; about 15 minutes max including unwrapping the parts. It is sturdy, quality construction that should last. The seat is a good size & padded comfortably. The pedals are thick sturdy rubber. I’m 5’5” & the seat adjustment had plenty of height options up & down from where I chose. The handlebars are great. I can easily lift & carry the bike if I want to move it. I bought this for my mother (63) who moved to FL and had since become pretty idle which isn't good. While she was here she was walking up to 5 miles a day but she moved there and walking ceased, some weight was gained, stamina decreased, body aches returned/got worse, she started needing her and it just wasn't good. Idle bodies break down, probably especially older ones. So I figured that since she sat around the house, she could at least 'move' while sitting, get those legs working again, regain some stamina, burn some calories, tone some muscles and it might improve her body aches (she has arthritis in her knee, reduced cartilage and sometimes gets those gel injections), etc. Well, she loves it! She's had it 2-3 weeks and began a routine 2 days after receiving it. She uses it 4-5 days a week and her goal was to get to 10,000 reps/cycles a day within a month and eventually use it for her arms too; well, she's at about 7,500-8,000 reps a day, using it for arm exercises too, her knee pains have decreased, she can make it up the whole flight of stairs without getting winded halfway, she hasn't needed her cane since after about a week or use, she said she feels better and more so, it has stopped her from being so idle. This product is even better because it is lightweight and folds for portability, but also because of it's low price; I wasn't concerned because it was inexpensive, I look at customer reviews for products and go from there. I would recommend this product to others and am highly considering buying it for my 'other mother' who recently retired and who I don't want to become idle when she relocates, but I also think it's good for myself while I'm just sitting around watching TV, more so since I'm inside so much more due to current events and restrictions.ariespoet
I thought I was going to hate this machine. I LOVE IT. It is light-weight and easy to carry and does not take much space. This machine is great for people just starting out on an exercise regime. It is particularly good for elderly people to help keep them moving. The monitor works well so it is easy to keep track of progress. The downside is that the machine creeps forward when in use. I solved this by placing two rubber door stops behind each side of the front bar and two rubber door stops in front of the rear bar. Other than the resistance being poor and the creeping, this machine has merit for beginners, elderly and possibly those with ailments that would benefit from pedaling motions. And, very surprised with the degree of resistance. First week and I am happy with level 6! Overall, feel like this was a great buy. Would definitely recommend to shorter people. Decided on this foldable lightweight bike over a spin bike precisely for its size and mobility. (Planning on wheeling it outside to my deck in nice weather!) Happy so far, although I agree with others: this bike is for shorter people (I am mid 5 feet and think I have the tallest settings, which just fit me). Wonder whether they have a seat extender? It was relatively easy to put together with somewhat sketchy instructions. So far, everything works! I like the white and purple look (it goes with my decor!) And, very surprised with the degree of resistance. First week and I am happy with level 6! Overall, feel like this was a great buy. Would definitely recommend to shorter people. As cited in a different review, the bike registers distance in kilometers (as indicated by the mfg.) Also, was very pleased that it was delivered earlier than originally indicated. Set up was really easy, maybe 30 minutes by myself. A lot of the reviews talked about the seat not being big enough, thats not true. If you are an average sized person, not super big, you should be fine. The seat on the other hand is definitely not very comfortable. So either use a pillow or get a bike chair cushion to help with that. 4/5 only flaw is not very comfy seatBrittany

I had kind of low expectations for this bike because of the price. But I figured, what the heck, let's give it a go since I needed a compact, foldable, low-tech bike without any complications (like internet or bluetooth connections.) It's been great. Seriously. We have used the bike several times a week and it is perfect for us. It truly is old-school exercise bike, and that's just fine with me. Regarding setup…I am not a handy gal by any means. When I took this out of the box and saw that there were something like 74 individual pieces, I panicked. Here's the thing, though: the instructions, which contain actual words and not just hieroglyphics, are perfect. I took a deep breath and went step by step and it turned out to be much easier to set up than I feared. I was very impressed that all the pieces were exactly as described, were located where they were supposed to be and, most importantly, all the pre-drilled holes and such lined up precisely. Before had a 40-pound flywheel, chain bike, and this is quieter. I don't get the same feel of biking that comes with a chain driven one. So, it takes some to get used to the different feel. For persons who lack space or live with others and need a quiet ride, I highly recommend this bike. I don't rate it great simply for it is a step down from more expensive indoor bikes, but for what a bike is meant to do, it does.Brian W.
