I'm definitely more about concealer than foundation, but I "borrowed" this from my mother when I needed it. At first I was a little concerned about having a product with salicylic acid that I might blend under my eyes, but I usually just don't put it there. And when I have, it has not irritated the skin. I have dry, somewhat sensitive skin, with some acne scarring blackheads and whiteheads, and a few occasional hormonal pimples. At one point I ran out of my acne medication and this makeup was my only treatment other than facewash. It can be a little drying, but as long as I moisturize, it looks great on my skin. It has buildable coverage, though if I put more than one or two layers, it looks cakey. I usually wear it over primer, but Saturday, when I had a small but mighty pimple near my chin, I skipped over the pimple with my primer so the salicylic acid could do its work. This is a solid choice for a foundation and I would definitely recommend it.
This use to be my go to! for some awful reason though, this liquid foundation makes me break out so bad and it’s makes my skin super oily now. I tried this foundation because I wanted something that would provide even coverage for mild/moderate acne without aggravating sensitive skin. I had a virtual consultation and was matched to Alabaster, the lightest shade, but it turned out to be quite orangey on me, and definitely too dark to get away with only using it on certain problem areas. Also, even though it says it will work for dry skin, I found it incredibly drying, clinging to drier areas and settling into creases that are otherwise invisible! It provided good coverage, although it was heavier than I wanted it to be, but overall it just looked super cakey so I sent it back. I'm grateful that Clinique does free returns for online orders! I had high hopes for this product when I ordered it during a massive sale that Neutrogena was having on their website. I even went and spent hours inside a random drugstore looking at bottles of the colors trying to figure out which shade of the foundation would be the right shade for me. Neutrogena even provides a booklet with color swatches. No dice. The "booklet" they provide is way off. Whoever does their printing prints like… text books. You can't rely on foundation shades printed from random laser printers?!?! This is a wonderful light to medium coverage foundation! I have been using bb creams or tinted moisturizers the last few years. I loved elf’s BB cream because it was enough to cover/blend dark spots and acne scars, but also let my real skin shine through a bit. I also like moisturized/dewy VS. Matte. Now that my favorite bb cream is never in stock, I asked for a rec from a friend and she suggested this one. Needless to say, it’s a big price jump. But I do really love this! Coverage is just what I want, I still spot conceal any stubborn acne but it covers any scars or pigmentation. It stays all day (ALL DAY), and blends without any lines or oxidation. You do need to moisturize well or use something dewy (glossier futuredew for me) to really get that glow, but it definitely isn’t harshe matte by itself. Picking a shade was tough Online because I’m not used to so many undertone options. I’m pretty fair, couldn’t decide my undertone, so I went to store for shade matching. Even though I could probably get away with a few different shades, matching in store with the matching technology confirmed the one I was leaning toward. If you're a person of color looking for a new foundation look no further, this foundatoion is absolutely amazing. I have a neutral warm golden undertone and having both undertones I do not have a lot of perfect shade matches in other brands. The shades are either too warm or too olive but this is such a perfect match to my skin. This a medium coverage foundation without looking cakey, it looks like skin. This foundation makes your skin so luminous and dewy without looking greasy, I use MAC Strobe Cream to make it even more luminous. The shade range is amazing and is a very good option for women of color and women with with a neutral or olive undertone, especially Indian women looking for a new foundation. Saw this on a friend – she looked amazing! Yet so natural! Just had to try it for myself. I moisturized and primed my face beforehand and then used my finger to dab some onto my head, cheeks, and nose, and using a beauty blender I started to blend it outwards until it disappeared into my skin. I have to say it blended really well and melted into my skin straight away, without settling into any fine lines. Although I find the formula to be quite thick and pigmented, it isn't heavy on the skin and I only required a small amount to cover any slight redness and uneven areas. The result? Airbrushed but natural. My face was very uniform-looking, and there was a slight glow which I liked and was not expecting. This is a silicone-heavy formula which ultimately I would not be able to use daily, I will definitely be using it on special occasions, as it provides a good amount of coverage that still leaves you looking natural. This is a wonderful light to medium coverage foundation! I have been using bb creams or tinted moisturizers the last few years. I loved elf’s BB cream because it was enough to cover/blend dark spots and acne scars, but also let my real skin shine through a bit. I also like moisturized/dewy VS. Matte. Now that my favorite bb cream is never in stock, I asked for a rec from a friend and she suggested this one. Needless to say, it’s a big price jump. But I do really love this! Coverage is just what I want, I still spot conceal any stubborn acne but it covers any scars or pigmentation. It stays all day (ALL DAY), and blends without any lines or oxidation. You do need to moisturize well or use something dewy (glossier futuredew for me) to really get that glow, but it definitely isn’t harshe matte by itself. Picking a shade was tough Online because I’m not used to so many undertone options. I’m pretty fair, couldn’t decide my undertone, so I went to store for shade matching. Even though I could probably get away with a few different shades, matching in store with the matching technology confirmed the one I was leaning toward. If you're a person of color looking for a new foundation look no further, this foundatoion is absolutely amazing. I have a neutral warm golden undertone and having both undertones I do not have a lot of perfect shade matches in other brands. The shades are either too warm or too olive but this is such a perfect match to my skin. This a medium coverage foundation without looking cakey, it looks like skin. This foundation makes your skin so luminous and dewy without looking greasy, I use MAC Strobe Cream to make it even more luminous. The shade range is amazing and is a very good option for women of color and women with with a neutral or olive undertone, especially Indian women looking for a new foundation. This is my new holy grail and my forever foundation, its also very beginner friendly. Saw this on a friend – she looked amazing! Yet so natural! Just had to try it for myself. I moisturized and primed my face beforehand and then used my finger to dab some onto my head, cheeks, and nose, and using a beauty blender I started to blend it outwards until it disappeared into my skin. I have to say it blended really well and melted into my skin straight away, without settling into any fine lines. Although I find the formula to be quite thick and pigmented, it isn't heavy on the skin and I only required a small amount to cover any slight redness and uneven areas. The result? Airbrushed but natural. My face was very uniform-looking, and there was a slight glow which I liked and was not expecting. This is a silicone-heavy formula which ultimately I would not be able to use daily, I will definitely be using it on special occasions, as it provides a good amount of coverage that still leaves you looking natural. One little oddity I did come across was 'Alcohol Denat' as the 5th ingredient, but as someone not planning on using this often, I'm not overly concerned about this. 1st things 1st: I love this product. My skin has changed recently due to age and chronic illness. So, I've been looking for a product for a year that would look and feel right as well as be good for my skin. My journey started when I looked up what my favorite soap actress, Laura Wright (General Hospital), wears on her face because it always looks so good. The result was finding this makeup and learning a lot about make up itself. I do not usually buy things because a celebrity wears it. It seems pretty silly to me, usually, lol. But I’m glad I got beyond that this time. The first thing I noticed is that it does not come in a box and the bottle looks kind of clinical. As if it came from the dermatologist. I am personally happy with the company spending the money on the product and not the packaging. The first bottle I bought was too dark. I originally went to the website and did their tutorial. It told me to buy beige. I thought it might be too dark by looking at it online. But I tried it anyway. It was really way too dark. I kept it and decided I would use it for contouring when I needed just a little shading. I then bought Opal, which I thought would be better and I was right. It was perfect for my skin. It is very creamy, very nice texture. It does have a slight chemically odor that leaves as it dries. It melts in nicely. It is easy to blend, and it dries nicely. Heads up: Let it dry completely before making up your mind. I think if I was to do it over, I would order their 10$ sample card. It does look a little different as it dries. There are not a lot of colors. However, you can custom blend 2 together. This is an expensive foundation, but VERY worth it. You won’t use as much because of its consistency, and it dries feeling like you have something on, but light and feels like skin. It seems to wear well, and my skin feels firm in it. This is going to be my go-to for nights out or when I want to look special. I will keep my bb cream for daily wear. However, You could absolutely use it every single day. It is not heavy or greasy. It is GOOD for your skin. It helps it to retain oxygen and moisture. It has salicylic acid, so you won’t break out. It was developed for on-screen activity, so it is durable and long lasting. This is the best foundation EVER!!! Because of Covid and masks, I developed a skin condition called perioral dermatitis. I tried sooo many foundations, like literally no joke 30 foundations from younique to everything at ulta and Sephora! Everything made my rash worst and had so many additives in them. This is the only one that doesn’t irritate my skin or clog my pores or make my face rash worst. It covers amazing with a couple applications. I got the taupe, I’m blonde and have a medium skin tone and it blends amazing. It does seem pricey but I use it about 3/4 days a week when I go to the office and so far one bottle has lasted me a month. This is the only foundation that I will wear. It prevents me from breakouts, is moisturizing, and super natural looking while also providing solid coverage. I tried at least 10 different foundations before I found this one and always would wear full coverage ones. This one has got me to love my natural skin and wear less makeup. The only downside is the price and the quantity. It’s very expensive for how much you get and basically lasts me one month. This is not for me. Don‘t get me wrong. This has great pigment and to mix it with SPF can give you a nice coverage. But if you have dry or dehydrated skin from Tret like I do this is not for you. This makes my skin look so dry. It‘s because my skin is dehydrated and everything soaks in. But I‘m pretty sure it looks nice on normal and oily skin. If you like natural looking without foundation, take a drop and mix it with your SPF. For buying a new foundation on-line, the 37N turned out great for my neutral medium skin tone. Just a tad light, but going into winter and my mineral powder provides enough color on top. I read the directions on-line before purchasing since this is a blendable formula you must mix each time and express any product from the applicator to get fresh product. Had some difficulty at first as it seemed product was stuck in the squeeze dropper so nothing was going into it or coming out. I was able to free up the product finally to apply. Excellent coverage that DOES NOT oxidize or fade after application. I had melasma and acne scars so coverage that doesn't fade is important. IT foundation fades after application 😐 I had this on all day without primer or setting spray just some mineral powder. Excellent staying power even after touching my face!! I have used the dermablend coverage cream foundation before but for day to day use it feels heavy and looks a little too make-upy. Was not crazy about this. I have dry/combination skin, because I use retin-A. So I have some sports that are more oily and others that are dry/flaky. This didn’t address either one. It also had a very orange tint, despite using the fair/cool color. The package is a little difficult to use because you have to tap the powder out and I feel like some of it goes to waste if you tap out too much. First of all I want to start saying that I wanted to give a thoughtful review after using this product for a certain and decent amount of time. Unfortunately, the sample given to me was a little dark for my skin tone, but on days where I was bronzed worked better! On my skin it oxidized a little bit, all of the times, but nothing too crazy. If you have DRY skin, this is a big no no for you. It definitely dries out from The fact that 1) is a powder foundation and 2) contents salycilic acid. You would need to pay extra attention on your skins moisture and hydration in order to have a more natural and clean finish. One of the PROS of this foundations is definitely the feel. Even though you apply a few lawyers, the feel to the touch is skin-like, so that’s super useful when in summer! Because I’ve had dry patches on my skin because of blemishes that were drying out, it definitely was more visible when I applied the foundation. The finish is NOT full coverage, st all. Maybe if you have blemishes that are flattened and less red. But if you have acne marks like me, and you’re fair skin toned, it will definitely show that, doesn’t matter how many layers. But honestly I didn’t mind, I find the coverage is great until medium and is still really breathable! I didn’t feel the necessity to conceal my eyes because I tried twice with different concealers and didn’t look that good or natural! It didn’t look bad, but the finish is better without it (in my opinion). It definitely helps drying out blemishes! But I personally don’t like powder on my skin because I feel it prevents the pores from breathing and cream foundations are more natural and easier to absorb naturally, showing the natural grease of your face while wearing it for a long time in a better way that with powder (because it separates at a point) It’s not a bad foundation at all! Im the kinda girl who doesnt spend thousands of dollars on makeup. Im quite happy to stroll around Priceline and pick one of the cheaper brands that does the job. You need to squeeze the bottle to use the product which Im not used to, I usually use one with pump action. I didnt like this, I found it hard to use and get the right amount out and Im assuming when you get towards the end of the bottle it would be difficult to get out the remaining product without wasting it. This is one flaw I would change.I was really amazed at the colour match. When I was choosing my colour on the website it had this really cool feature which allowed you to chose your current makeup brand and shade and then it would match it to which Clinique shade you should choose. Ugh this foundation sits so nicely on my skin. I've had trouble with picking foundations lately. I get super oily through out the day and this foundation still pulls through. I still get a little oily but the foundation looks nice. My only vice is that even though the cool neutrals are labeled as such… they can be super orange. It took me 3 tries before finding the right match and it's still a tiny bit pink. I tried light, and fair before finally landing on alabaster. I love Clinique products but this product truly surprised me by how STUNNING it is. It's such a beautiful, lightweight foundation that truly enhances your skin rather than covering it. I can totally see this being my new holy grail all year, because it's lightweight enough for summer but seems buildable for when I want a little more coverage. The finish is neutral to matte, which was a pleasant surprise because the dewy finish of some other products can be a little too much for me at times. The only con of this product (and I really mean the only issue) is that it's a glass bottle that needs a pump and might get a little messy if not stored upright, but I love it so much that I'm ordering a backup and giving it five stars. I purchased this based on a review I saw on youtube and oh.my. gosh. It's so worth the $38. I have dry skin and this doesn't cling to any dry patches. It makes my skin look smooth and hydrated and doesn't show any sort of texture. It covers all my acne scars and the light discoloration I have from old acne scars. I've applied this with a beauty blender sponge as well as a brush and both ways gave me great coverage and it was very easy to blend. I do prefer the sponge better but I usually always do. I like that it's got SPF 25 in it so I don't have to worry about applying sunscreen before hand ( I always forget). It's not completely transfer proof but I would say it's one of the more mask friendly foundations I've used lately without feeling really heavy on my face. I tried everything to make this foundation work. I changed my moisturizer, my primer… everything to make this work, but no matter what you do this foundation sits on your skin really weird. Once it sits on your face for 2 hrs, it begins to separate and clump around the mouth area and my skin isn't even dry. It does have a blurring effect on your pores, but it emphasizes dryness and texture everywhere else. It also DRIES DOWN IMMEDIATELY. I swear after you dot it on your face, then go to blend it out, it won't budge and it leads to unblended splotches of foundation all over the face. I'm really good with base makeup but after using this my skin just looked bad. I also got told I looked orange so this oxidizes a lot, for all my brown girls, I don't recommend.[brand:no7]adella.l

If I don't love a foundation, I'll only get about 1/4 through the bottle before giving up on it.. I can usually tell after the first application, but I often give them more tries than I should. And if/when I get through an entire bottle, even if I really liked it, I love trying new brands instead of repurchasing a previous one. You never know what you're going to discover! But this just might be one of the few that I repurchase (it's only ever happened one other time with bareMinerals, so the fact that I want to restock this is shocking and very telling for me). I have the shade Calico (normally fair/light/porcelain – depending on the brand and time of year), and Fair in the matching concealer (normally fair/light). Both are far more perfect matches than I expected, and this foundation blends really well. I have combination skin, and two things I don't much care for with liquid foundations are how heavy and/or oily some feel, but I haven't experienced that at all with this one. So far I've only worn it in the winter (anywhere from 20 degrees to 60 degrees), so I can't speak for how well it holds up in the humid NC summer weather, but I'm loving it so far. I use the shell beige and I love it. Nothing else keeps me matte and looks as good at the end of the day. I used to use the old formula with the black cap for years, and when they switched to the new formula I didn't like it because it's totally different. They should have totally changed the packaging. The old formula stated a satin finish. The new formula states matte finish. When you call customer service, they insist it's the same, just improved. No, no, it's not the same. Even the shades are different. So, after a few months of trying other foundations, I decided to try it like it's a new foundation. And that's when it worked for me, when I stopped expecting it to be the old formula.Kasia
I was hesitant to try this foundation because the reviews on this makeup weren't that good. I was at Target I bought it anyway I really wanted to try it. I also was hoping to replace my expensive foundation with it. I love this foundation it went on like a dream and it was not thick at all. I wear shell 102 the shade was perfect. I will say that the only difference between the old and new formula is the new formula is a little bit more matte than the old formula that is the only difference between the two that is just my opinion. I also want to mention that you should prep your skin before you apply this foundation because it is really matte than you should be fine. I really love this foundation. I will also say don't give up on the new formula just be patient and work with it and you should be fine.Janette

I'm definitely more about concealer than foundation, but I "borrowed" this from my mother when I needed it. At first I was a little concerned about having a product with salicylic acid that I might blend under my eyes, but I usually just don't put it there. And when I have, it has not irritated the skin. I have dry, somewhat sensitive skin, with some acne scarring blackheads and whiteheads, and a few occasional hormonal pimples. At one point I ran out of my acne medication and this makeup was my only treatment other than facewash. It can be a little drying, but as long as I moisturize, it looks great on my skin. It has buildable coverage, though if I put more than one or two layers, it looks cakey. I usually wear it over primer, but Saturday, when I had a small but mighty pimple near my chin, I skipped over the pimple with my primer so the salicylic acid could do its work. This is a solid choice for a foundation and I would definitely recommend it.
I had high hopes for this product when I ordered it during a massive sale that Neutrogena was having on their website. I even went and spent hours inside a random drugstore looking at bottles of the colors trying to figure out which shade of the foundation would be the right shade for me. Neutrogena even provides a booklet with color swatches. No dice. The "booklet" they provide is way off. Whoever does their printing prints like… text books. You can't rely on foundation shades printed from random laser printers?!?! This entire experience of hoping for a great liquid salicylic acid acne medication foundation that came in a limited number of like 8 skin tones reminded me way too much of the time I wasted thinking the Clinique Liquid Acne Foundation would be a good fit. In fact, the situations are eerily similar. Both are skin-care geared brands. What on earth. How lame. Why can't they get it together and do some decent skin tone research? What in the actual eff? It is not like they are poor companies. What a joke. Uck. This experience was just worse though because at Sephora or Clinique you can either sample the color or ask a salesperson to swatch the color for you. At the drugstore you cant. This makeup has decent coverage I would say about medium. It dries very well without setting. The color was dark for me but I used it as a first layer and used some concealer. Even though it doesn’t claim to be foundation it works very well. It does have a scent that I think is very pleasant. The one thing I would bring up was the instructions said you can apply it 1-3 times a day but I wouldn’t and didn’t do that. It lasted around 8 hours for me and I did not use primer. I didn’t feel like it dried out my face and the oil was controlled. Impressive to say the least. I wish I could give a full 5 stars but the instructions that suggest adding it so much … I think can be misleading and a deterrent to a pretty good product.Makeurmarq10

LOVE! I have been using this foundation before Sephora started selling it – About 6 years now. I couldn't ever stand the feeling of liquid foundation and how I'd have to pack powder foundation on top to prevent that cakey look when your pores have absorbed it all and blegh. This has amazing coverage for my skin. If you're concerned about dryness, use your favourite light serum or moisturizer a couple minutes before apply, and voila! It lasts all day and feels great on your skin. I don't have any issues with it clogging my pores whatsoever! And of course, it's THE best in hot weather or in the summer. My favorite foundation in the world is it cosmetics celebration foundation, but when you add SPF to it becomes chalky. It doesn’t have the same depth and warmth of color once the SPF is in there. Same thing with the illumination celebration. Just get the regular it cosmetics celebration foundation and you will be more than happy. They even have a cc cream now that works beautifully. Literally if you are a influencer and you have to be on camera it is the best foundation to cover up and even out skin. I literally cannot use this sharpenable eyeliner. The outside is coated in plastic. Have you ever tried to sharpen plastic The sharpener that came with the 2 eyeliners I purchased is crap. The eyeliner only fits in the smaller sharpener and totally eats the outside of the eyeliner pencil when sharpening, taking a lot of the product along with it. Then the inside of the pencil is all jagged. Who wants to put a jagged edge anywhere around their eyelet alone on the waterlineThis has to be IT Cosmetics WORST product and they need to bring back the selfsharpening eyeliner. The circumstances for when I first got this foundation we're totally a coincidence. I had gotten a BareMinerals gift of another one of my favorite products in a shade that was too dark. Prom was also coming up and I needed a foundation that would keep me matte and look good in pictures. So I went to the BareMinerals store and asked if they had any matte foundations, to which I discovered this. Never have I loved a foundation more. I have combo oily skin and this keeps me so so matte, but with a perfectly natural finish. The way my skin looks in this is like a "your skin but better" product. My oily mother normally sticks to the products she's used for years, but the minute she tried this we both had to run out and buy it for our summer and winter shades. It's AMAZING!! I couldn't even understand why it didn't have all 5 stars, but I'm assuming that it is probably a better foundation for oily skin (like most matte foundations are). I use this on top of the Combo Control Milky Face Primer also by BareMinerals, and the compliments for perfect skin don't stop coming (and I have some major acne scarring, so I'm far from perfect😭)Gatito Enthusiast
There are a lot of wonderful things about this foundation: 1) It is definitely full coverage 2) Easy to apply 3) Doesn't cause break outs 4) Matches my skin tone perfectly However, there are a few things keeping me from loving it: 1) It looks cakey and dry on my skin. Even though I have super oily skin, it still somehow manages to look dry and patchy in some areas (even though those spots still end up being oily). 2) It doesn't have the stay power I was hoping it would have. It stays pretty well for the first 6 hours but then starts to wear off. It seems to stay put longer on cooler, less active days so it's probably because of my oiliness. 3) It doesn't mattify as well as I would have liked. Like I said above, it definitely looks dry and patchy on the skin in areas, but my oily skin still shines through. However, some areas stay nicely matte. I have tried wearing it with and without foundation, but I don't see any differences between the application, wearability, stay power, and patchiness. Overall, I like enough to keep it and am going to keep experimenting with it to see if I can overcome the small issues. It is definitely better than most foundations I've tried. Wow. That’s all I can say. Pros- – wide color range with pictures distinctly labeled warm , cool, neutral, making it very easy to find your perfect color – unlike most long wearing foundations, this doesn’t look chalky, thick, or mask like. It ends up looking like skin not like a thick layer of makeup applied to your face. -I have combination skin that’s very easily dried out and then gets flaky and oily, I bought a dewy setting spray from Walgreens to give this a nice satin finish. If your skin is normal you will probably get the satin finish from this alone. Ten years ago I tried the bare minerals powder and a tube lipstick that was shown. I did not care for the lipstick, it went on with an uneven texture, didn’t have a nice finish, and didn’t wear well. The powder foundation was much too yellow and didn’t look nice on my combination skin that’s often much to dry for anything other than a cream. You guys have really stepped it up with bare pro and the mineral liquid lipstick! Blown away by the color selection you offer that includes everyone. I have used this foundation for years. My daughters have also been using it with great results. We loved everything about it, coverage, shade, blended perfectly, improved acne, etc. I was so bummed to see that the formula has changed (bottle with the green design). The shade that I have always bought no longer matches my skin, it is thicker & gross feeling, it does not blend well, and looks terrible on my face. My daughters tried it also and both agreed it was horrible. I don’t understand why this company would change something that was already perfect? Did they even have anyone test this before making this big change? I wish there was a way to still buy the old formula. Now I have to throw away the two bottles I ordered & start to look for another brand 🙁Sad About Changes

Once they formulated porcelain I was so happy because it was light and fair enough for my skin. However, the new porcelain color is a good 3 shades deeper and ORANGE. The undertone is so unbelievably orange. I don't understand how that is considered porcelain. I bought 2 bottles thinking they were the same color, hopefully I can get a refund. I'm sad I guess I'll have to find a new holy grail.lisalisalisalisa
Like other reviews I am SO disappointed by the new formula. The new one settles into fine lines a magnifies pores (I always moisturize and use primer). The new one seems a little thicker and a tad chalky. I went from looking radiant (old formula) to aged (new formula). I’ve always had oily skin and the old formula was brilliant at controlling oil but avoided the heavy full coverage look. Almay really messed up a great product.
