20 Best Hair Oil For Split Ends (Feb 2023 Update)

This has been a godsend for me personally. It's also the only oil I've consistently repurchased. A little goes a long way so the large bottle lasts quite a while. It helps reduce frizz all over and leaves hair looking so healthy and shiny. Again, a little goes a long way, rub between hands well before applying. Definitely test out how much your hair needs because it won't be much. I digress. I let it set a bit before messing with my hair and my curls are so soft and so bouncy after. My curls are between a 3a and 3b so this oil is a miracle oil for me. Highly, highly recommend!anastasia.h

First, let’s talk initially how gorgeous this packaging is because I think we need to take a moment to appreciate it 😍 Initially as I opened the product the entire cap came off and I was wondering how to properly apply this product. I had no idea there was actually a pump because it’s hard to tell and you end up taking the entire cap off. After reading other reviews apparently I’m not the only one this has happened too. Not sure why that happens but it is alittle off putting however if you just pull up on the cap a pump is included for the product to be dispensed, I absolutely love the smell! It smells so good and is heavily scented if that’s not your thing. I used this on my hair two different ways. I applied it to mostly the ends when it was wet after a shower which I didn’t really like the way it made my hair feel. It didn’t feel like it was absorbing into my hair. I also used it dry on the ends and to help flyaways stay down as it was dry and I was blow drying and straightening. I didn’t notice any long term improvement to my hair after using this product but it does smell amazing and keep my frizz at bay. I have curly hair with lots of damage and I definitely need a good oil. I prefer a leave in conditioner but I definitely think a oil has a place in a hair care routine as well. For the price I probably wouldn’t repurchase this product but I definitely want to try other products from this company. I got this in a set with the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner. I really do love the set and feel that they work as a whole to keep my hair silky. I have bleached hair and when using other hair care brands I feel like my hair feels very dry. With Oribe products, my hair feels healthy and rarely gets tangled unlike when using other brands. I tested out Briogeo's be gentle be kind set in the Banana scent and it not only did it dry out my hair, it also gave me A LOT of dandruff. Keep in mind that I have never once noticed dandruff in my hair before using Briogeo. Switched back to Oribe and my hair is as healthy as ever! No dandruff in sight.laura.c

I have oils at home, that to be honest I have forgotten to use recently! Having visited my hairdresser recently this was used on my hair for the first time. I have thick, curly, coarse and frizzy hair. To blow dry it it can be a workout for the arms..and there is no way I can get it as smooth as they can! When this was used (just a couple of drops) on damp hair, the texture of my hair was so smooth and shiny it was amazing. It has certainly not made it greasy or feeling 'weighed down'….just loving the shine and the way it has made my hair look so healthy. My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I have zero frizz and perfect curls… ALL DAY! I do use a diffuser just to hit my roots for volume, but that’s it. I went from unruly frizzy curls, to blownout & straightened, to naturally curly shiny non-frizzy hair. It's been YEARS since my hair was this soft. My hair started to get thinner, dry, and dull in my mid twenties and I tried all kinds of things like overnight hair masks, Prose "personalized" shampoo/conditioner, Vegamour drops, and nothing made a difference. In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. I feel that I can find a cheaper oil to smooth my hair after blowing it out.PastaPrincess69

This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. Some hair oils I love for example are the Olaplex and Gisou hair oils!hailey.p

i got this in a free gift set of a lot of minis & samples and i didnt expect much from it at all; i have used many different hair oils before and never really "clicked" with any of them. i also didn't expect to even remember half the items i got in this sample kit because there were so many. this stood out enough for me to take a picture of the little sachet before throwing it out. i thought i accidentally used too much but even with me using a lot it didn't weigh my hair down at all. in fact it actually gave me more volume, somehow, and my hair usually gets flat & greasy quite quickly. it smells so nice and the scent is subtle but lingers all day. it made my hair look so glossy & thick. i will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.aj

I have been using this oil 1X/week overnight for about 3 months and have nothing but wonderful things to say & wonderful results. Since I moved from the west coast to the mid-west in 2014 my scalp has been dry off and on and I haven't been able to get it back into balance. In the short time I have been using this oil, it has basically eliminated any sign of dry scalp and itching, has made my hair really soft and easier to style. It doesn't weigh my hair down like other products have and I don't need to use conditioner or wash it as much.(I have long,straight finer hair) I am also losing way less hair in my hairbrush and around my house. It is also letting my long hair grow nicer and seems to be lessening some grey hair. This is a special product that not only has helped my hair & scalp but also makes me feel good when I am using it. I have only used for about few weeks but there is a noticable difference as far softness and fullness is concern. I have use three times the first week on dry hair. Second week went down to twice with once on wet hair. Each time, leaving it on a few hours. I do supplement with the vitamins. But have used collagen prior to this oil with not much difference so I know this change is stemming from the oil, because I doubt the vitamins would show much return after a couple weeks. Smells great and doesnt leave my hair oily or weighed down since I have fine hair. I usually will run shampoo twice during washing though I dont think its neccessary. I have before pics and will show comparison when I see a difference with growth especially around the temple area seems breakage occurs there often. Will buy again. Yes, discount would be great. I have dry hair normally. I use the 1/8th c oil with 1/2 squeezed lime mixed together for my hair soak every 3 days. I have no problem with washing oil out of my hair. My hair is supper soft between oil soak/washing and make my natural hair color shine beautifully!!! Like Ariana says hair care products alone can only do so much! Limiting the amount of sugar and alcohol consumed greatly reduces hair loss! Also not brushing wet hair, or parting your hair or putting your hair up differently helps not damage hair! This product has been fantastic for my postpartum hair! For those who have gone through it you know your hair get wrecked for 6 months after baby is born. My hair looked limp and dull no matter what I did with it, following my old normal routine didn’t seem to work. This oil is super light weight and doesn’t cause oily buildup that other products I have used in the past to hydrate. After a few uses my dull hair started to shine again! The scent isn’t bad, but also not my favorite. The scent is stronger when applying than what lingers throughout the day. I have curly hair so I have only applied to wet hair. It has helped a little with frizz but I still needed to add a separate product specifically for that. Overall a good product and will continue to use as part of my daily routine.KDoherty32

Kerastase Ultime Hydrating Hair Oil Serum is my new liquid gold. I have naturally curly hair that takes on a life of it’s own when exposed to humidity. I first tried this product on my dry hair because I couldn’t wait to see how it works. A big turn off for me is a hair product with a strong smell. I just can’t tolerate it. This serum has a light fragrance that didn’t offend me at all. I applied some to my hair and immediately noticed all the little fly away pieces of hair were blended in and my hair had a healthy looking shine. The oil is light and did not weigh down my hair or make it look greasy. So far I was satisfied and knew I’d be trying the product again. The next day, I applied the oil to my wet hair. After letting my curls air dry, I could not help but notice how incredibly soft and light my hair felt. My curls were clumped nicely and not weighed down at all. Kerastase Elixer Ultime Hydrating Hair Oil Serum is a product that I will continue to use on a daily basis. I received this product for free in exchange for my review but it did not influence my rating. Normally, oils have not worked well for my hair because finding the right balance between shiny frizz and slick was near impossible. This product changed my views. My hair is natural salt and pepper, medium textured, mid-length, wavy, normal-to-dry, and prone to frizz. When I first received the product I read the instructions that it can be used on wet or dry hair. My hair was dry so I gave it a try. It's a no for me on dry hair. it was disappointing because I thought this oil would be just like the dozens of others I had tried. To test on wet hair, I first shampooed with a clarifying shampoo to ensure there was a clean slate. The directions state one to two pumps on wet or dry hair so I sectioned my hair in two and applied one pump to each section. My hair soaked it in but did not look or feel slick. The day I tested was very humid at over 70% so, while blow drying my hair, I expected Brillo sprouts of frizz to be popping up. None. My hair dried beautifully and frizz-free. There was a shine but still no slickness. It held up nicely throughout the day but did start to frizz up when it got damp. I'd recommend using a finishing spray to keep the look. Normally I can go up to four to five days between washes and this serum may have shortened the time by a day, but not significantly. If you, like me has never had any luck with oils in the past give this one a try. I'm stunned at how well it worked and will always keep a bottle on hand.NeeNeeJeanie

I quite like this oil! I have a 7ml little bottle of it. Unlike some other reviewers, I don't find it greasy at all, but in fact nice and lightweight. It gives my hair nice gloss without making it feel heavy. Personally I use this on dry hair to smooth down my hair, especially if I'm wearing a tight ponytail. And it works! I can't say that I've (yet?) noticed any strengthening though, and I'm not the biggest fan of the scent, which is similar to the other products in this range. The only thing is that I don't think I'd spend this much on a hair oil, I've had others that do the same for half cheaper price. Granted, a 30ml bottle should last a really long time.TiinaK

Finally! A serum that does what it promises. I'm near the end of my second bottle. I had no idea how LIMITED options were when I went silicone-free. Everything has some type silicone in it. So I was overjoyed to discover this serum. My only complaint– and it's a big deal to me– is the scent. It's a stretch to claim it smells like *Rose*. It smells kinda like strawberry Poptarts, or those scented erasers kids bring to school… Eww. I'm a grown woman; I dont want to walk around smelling like Strawberry Shortcake! Its JUVENILE. For the first time, I'm EXCITED to write a review!! I need to start by talking about my hair. I have longer (about 5 inches below my shoulders), thick, fine hair. Because of this, most hair products leave my hair greasy, limp, lifeless and feeling dirty. Typically, I use a color protection shampoo & conditioner, and the tiniest amount of a leave in treatment (think smaller than the size of a chap stick cap) and only on the ends. I usually let my air dry the majority of the way, and use a blow dryer the rest of the way. I do use a flat iron or curling iron 3-4 days a week. I've been working on growing my hair out so I can donate it, and I have about an inch to an inch and a half left to go before I can cut it. Because of that, my ends have been looking less than their best. I've tried several different products and nothing made them look better and just ended up making my hair look dirty. When I found this product, I hesitated because of the higher price tag. But because I received the "Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask" as a freebie from Ulta during my birth month and LOVED it, I figured I would try it. And with Ulta's return policy, I figured I had nothing to lose. I wish I had found this product earlier! The scent is incredibly light, but dissipates quickly once in the hair. I put a few drops in the palm of my hand (few drops did wonders) and smoothed the product from the area where my ponytail sits down to my ends on towel dried hair and combed it through. Initially, my hair felt "heavy" and weighted down as most oils do, and I figured this would be another dud for me. But as my hair dried, the heaviness went away. Once I dried and styled it, I was shocked how soft my ends were. Even my husband commented how my hair looked different and felt amazing. I've used this almost every day for the past week and a half and my hair still looks amazing. It's never looked greasy or dull. It's still so soft and the ends look less and less damaged. This is absolutely a product that will stay in my rotation. I'm not sure what the dried flower in the bottle is there for, but it makes it pretty at least. I've been using this product occasionally for hot oil treatments to combat my medicine induced alopecia and it has helped so much with my shedding and breakage. A little goes a long way so you don't need very much of it to get the job done. If you are worried about scent, the smell is not very over powering, and actually rather pleasant coming from someone with an overly sensitive nose. I got this Dae Pricky Hair Oil given to me for free in exchange of my honest review. The pump of the oil is easy to use. Right away when you smell the oil it seems really good. It smells fruity which comes from the sweet prickly pear seed oil. The three main nature ingredients are the sweet fruit smelling sweet prickly pear seed oil, the hair moisturizing meadowfoam seed oil, and the morning leaf extract that is rich in vitamins and antioxidants. I have thin straight to a little wavy nature hair. I tried it both on my dry hair before taking a shower and on my damp hair after I got out of the shower. When I put it on my dry hair I saw a big difference. It helped straighten my hair and made it look shinny in a healthy way not in an oily way. I think if you don’t want to deal with straightening your hair and want it to look straighter this would be a good go to for styling your hair or when your hair is a little dirtier and you don’t want it to show. On my damp hair I didn’t really see a difference but that might be because I used conditioner in the shower and brushed my hair so I already smoothed it out and it was not detangled so if did not need to be detangled which is what it is meant to do on damp hair. If I try it on my damp hair without having used a conditioner or brush my hair before then I think the hair oil would help to detangle my hair. I really like how it looked on my dry hair and for styling purposes. If I wanted my hair to look better on a bad hair day or when my hair was a little dirtier this hair oil would definitely meet my need and I would definitely recommend this hair oil.girlsrule104

This comes in lovely packaging and I appreciate the beauty and aesthetic of the glass bottle on my vanity. As someone with a nose sensitive to hair products, this scent is delicately light, sweet and fresh, enjoyable – perfect for all year round, but especially summer time! The formulation is also incredibly light and doesn’t weigh down my hair, but instead adds a nice shine and makes my hair soft! It is also easy to travel with, but may leak a little, though the oil stays inside the cap. The pump also adds to ease of use. The only reason I didn’t give 5/5 stars is because of this: for $36 and only 1.7 oz, I can’t say that Dae beats my $4 organic coconut oil jar in terms of delivering moisture/hydration, or shine. This oil makes my hair look soft and shiny without weighing it down and reducing volume. I have very long, thick, and dry and brittle hair that is incredibly prone to tangling and breakage. While I love how it makes my hair look, what has really blown me away about this product is how well it has improved manageability. It has significantly reduced tangling and made it so much quicker and easier to brush through my hair and has reduced tugging on my hair during brushing, so I have also seen much less breakage since I have been using this oil. I primarily use this by applying generously to damp hair, focusing on the ends, and working the excess further up in my hair. Occasionally, I also apply a small amount of this oil product to dry hair to tame frizz. Because this product is called a hair oil, I was expecting it to have the consistency of an oil, but I would consider this to have more of a plush serum consistency. As a result, this product is surprisingly lightweight and I find I can apply it very generously without my hair looking oily or weighed down. I love the summery fresh scent of this product, and I find it to be perfectly balanced to my liking- it's strong enough to notice and enjoy it, but I don't find it overpowering or lingering too much.twomonsters

Now I have very long, semi thick hair, that's very coarse. I use shampoo and conditioner regularly but sometimes that's not enough to give me the sleek shine I like, or if I need help defining my waves during a blowout, the OGX Morrigan and Argan oil is wjat I turn to. It's got a very pleased scent to it, and you need only about a Nickle sized amount distributed through the hair to get the desired results. I bought a little bottle maybe about a year ago for roughly $7 and it is still more than halfway full with constant use. I love the shine it gives my hair and I love how effective it is. And the smell is so fragrant and nice! It makes me feel like I've just come out of a spa day. You can find this at most retailers and like I mentioned it's normally under $10. This product is my now go to after I hop out of the shower. Using it on damp hair before a blow dry leaves my hair shiny and smooth all day. It’s given back my dull hair its shine. My hair is bleached so it always feels dry and damaged, even after styling with other heat protectant sprays, but this hair oil has helped maintain my frizz even days after use. I have been using this after the shower for around 4 weeks and am loving it. I’ve gotten a few close friends using it too now as it’s a cheap alternative to the hair oils from the hair care shops. I use a bit over a 50 cent sized amount and have barely made a dint into the product. The ogx argan oil also has a lovely smell that meshes well with my shampoo and conditioner. I can also extend the period of time between washes which is so great as it takes me so long to wash and style my hair. I usually have to wash my hair every three days as it will start getting dry and gets knotty very easily. I can now get around a week before my hair needs a wash. My hair also has been more durable and I have been experiencing way less breakage as well as loosing less hair throughout the day. It’s also become way more easy to brush my hair in the mornings and I’m experiencing much less tangles, I believe this is because my hair is more nourished and healthy so its getting tangled less then with my dry hair with no product. The only negative thing I have noticed is if my hair isn’t damp enough or if i try and use it after straightening my hair it makes my hair look oily and weighed down, this is more user error then a problem with the oil itself. With the negatives aside I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with bleached hair or thicker hair. This oil claims to be a penetrating oil and I whole heartland agree, I have used many oils on the market and most just leave a layer if oil on top (yes even when I apply with towel dried hair) and some are not at all affordable. I have never tried an oil that makes such a difference on my hair and leaves barely any residue, I use a generous amount and my hair still sucks all the oil up. My hair thrives with oil because of how much heat and bleach I use on it, its given my hair so much shine and smoothness back into it. I am extremely happy with how my hair has turned out. Even after bleaching it Last week, I feel like I was able to go blonder then usually as I have been taking care of it and nurturing it with a few new ogx products. I just received it and I love it already! It made my hair really soft, smooth and shiny! Some people complain this is full of chemicals (silicones) that are bad for the hair. The hair is dead and if you want it smooth and shiny, you need to condition it with things like emollients, and some also act as occlusives to seal everything in (such as silicones and argan oil) and they also act as a protective barrier against things like humidity (bye bye frizzy hair). The only problem with silicones is that some are hard to get out the hair, but if you use an appropriate shampoo once in a while (one with sulfates works very well), you will prevent too much build up from happening. But don’t be scared by it, because it’s that build up that protects you hair and makes it look amazing. It won’t damage your hair in the long term, just make sure to use a silicon free shampoo that clarifies the hair once in a while. So yeah, I loved this product. The only downside is the smell. A lot of people love it and I agree that it’s not bad, it’s very fresh and salon-y. But I don’t like my hair smelling hair products too much. It’s not very strong however, so I’m okay about it. Also, don’t use too much, you will make your hair look greasy. I use 2 pea sized amount on each half, but if you have fine hair, use a lot less.silvia.p

This product saved my hair. I was using a shampoo & conditioner previously that completely ruined my hair and gave me severe scalp irritation. I was desperate to find something to treat my itchy scalp and this saved my life. I noticed even after one use that my head wasn’t so itchy or dry. I will use this the night before a wash and lather it on my scalp all over as well as my ends and put my hair in a loose braid. Double washing helps immensely. Pros: Very thin oil solution that doesnt weigh down my fine hair too much (though id probably do better w the weightless solution verb offers). The smell is practically non-existent. Doesnt make me itchy as a product itself. I love the dropper top. I can use it on my cuticles too! Cons: using it on my scalp made me have to wash twice. This actually ended up drying out my scalp and causing itchy dandruff. If i only washed once after using it, I noticed greasy spots near my ear line all the way around my head (and yes, i pay attention to scrubbing that area all the same when washing- I'm not sure why it's not greasy up top). I've been using this for about a month and I've definitely noticed how soft it's made my hair. I have long, thick, 2B hair and I will put three drops in my hair while wet, two drops to finish styling, and 2 or 3 drops on my dry hair every other day. It doesn't make my hair look greasy at all. I like how it's unscented so it doesn't compete with my other hair products. My only complaint and reason for a star knocked off is that I would prefer if this came in a pump rather than a dropper. Wish I could have given this a higher rating. I was so excited to use this product along with the shampoo since they both had good reviews with very little bad ones. So I buy them and use them leaving the hair oil on for the directed time then used the shampoo and other conditioner I have. After washing my hair it still looked really oily like I hadn’t washed it for days. I didn’t think much of it but a day or two after the first use I started getting little bumps on my forehead and side of my face on both sides that were itchy and started getting dandruff. I put aloe on the little bumps that helped with the itchiness, I still didn’t think nothing of it so I use the oil again and used a dandruff shampoo to wash it out but felt the symptoms worsen. That’s when I realized I’m having a bad reaction to the product and washed it out again with a different shampoo and went to get Benadryl. I looked more at the reviews and seen a few people had the same experience as I did. Still dealing with the symptoms as it just happens last week. Would have given it zero stars if I could! Have been using this product for a few weeks in hopes of it thickening up my edges. My hair has mostly been in protective styles and wanted to work on strengthening it. I noticed how the back of my neck would burn a bit/ itch after about 5-10 minutes from applying. However, I continued to use it as I thought it may just be my scalp adjusting to the mint and rosemary. Because eventually the burning stopped. I struggled mostly with the nape of my hair from ponytails, so that is where I focused on applying the oil. Over the next few days into week, I noticed the nape of my hair thinning tremendously! It has eventually turned into an enlarged baldness area. I also broke out with very painful rash like dry patches along my neck. I am furious!!!! But more so embarrassed and extremely sadden at the damage it has caused. Since this has been the only change to the products I have been using on the last 5 years of being natural. Hoping it can be treated and restored. I also googled this product and see many other costumers have shared very similar experiences of a burning sensation and hair loss. I started experiencing hair loss in 2020 and trust me, I tried EVERYTHING. This rosemary line, especially this scalp oil, and pumpkin seed oil supplements are what saved my hair and now it’s as thick and healthy as when I was a teenager. I don’t find this oil too heavy, and as long as I’m careful with it I can use it without getting my hair super oily. The night before a hair wash I will put extra on, work it into the scalp, and sleep with a cap on to let it all soak in. I used to deal with dry scalp and this totally fixed that issue as well. It’s super hydrating, and feels stimulating and refreshing. I used to use minoxidil but I hated that as soon as I stopped using it for one day the hair would just fall out again! Plus it made my scalp itchy. This is a drug free option that actually works. The shampoo and hair mask from this line are also excellent.Jo

I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! I have super straight, super fine, super blonde, color treated hair. Most of my life I’ve had very short cuts (pixies and the like) because I never learned how to manage long hair – I was also a teen in the 90s when V05 hot oil was about as good as hair care products got. For my hair texture that just wasn’t ok because it weighed me down and made me look like an utter greasy mess. The past few years I’ve been growing it out just to see how it goes in the modern era with modern hair care products (I feel like some time-traveling Victorian) and was borderline ready to chop it because I still couldn’t figure out how to not make it look like a crazy wild mane of flyaways and snarlballs right about when Covid hit. So I had to suck it up and figure something out. I gave this a try after reading reviews and I’m SO glad I did. My hair looks shiny and glossy and full without even a hint of grease and all of the flyaways are tamed. It’s like photoshop for your hair. And oh MY is it soft! There’s no gooey, sticky residue (I even like how moisturizing it is on my hands afterwards), and I use a pump all over when wet, and another half pump on my ends when dry. Also, I have to mention the scent. I have a hard time with heavy smells, especially on my head since I work out daily which means scents get hyper-activated with sweat. I was worried that the scent would be too much, but it’s light and really clean. I used to use Lush R&B on my ends during the winter which I loved the smell of (it’s too heavy to use year round) but I actually like the smell of this even better. It’s lighter and fresher, and dare I say invigorating? Anyway. Yeah. I still can’t braid or curl or style my hair (I wish this did that for me too!) but at least I look like less of a basketcase and I can get a brush through it now!LizHal

Previously, I was using the original Moroccaoil Treatment Hair Oil and was loving that, but decided to give the light version a go since it is labeled specificlsly for thin / fine hair. And wow, I am so glad I did! The first day I used it, I noticed my hair looking visibly nicer! It softens, smooths, hydrates, and helps to smooth frizz. My hair was so soft and looked so shiny. It did not weigh my hair down at all, like a lot of oils can for thin hair. I’ve noticed less breakage at my ends and my hair looks the healthiest it’s ever been. Also, the smell is so good! I apply the smallest amount (smaller than a dime) and rub it between my hands before massaging it into my hair starting at the middle of my strands and working my way down to my ends. If you have thin hair and wish to incorporate a hair treatment but struggle because most products are too heavy – this is it. Will continue to repurchase again and again.julianna.t

This nourishing hair oil from Sol de Janeiro performs pretty well, and I love that it has the classic scent from their Bum Bum cream! The bottle is beautiful and made of weighted glass, giving it a lux feel. The formula is rich and definitely on the thicker side, but once warming in between my fingers I am able to apply it easily. Just 1-2 pumps is enough to disperse throughout my ends to mid-length without going overboard (I have relatively long hair). I can also confirm that it works to calm frizzies, makes my hair more manageable and gives a nice shine. While it is nourishing to a degree as well, I wish it delivered more moisture into my hair. Adding more doesn’t seem to do much for hydration, while adding too much just makes my hair look greasy and slick as expected. I really enjoy this hair oil, especially the smell! The fragrance is the same as the original fragrance in the rest of the line. The smell is really heavy, but not overwhelming. It does calm down, but you’ll still be able to smell it all day. I have long thick hair with dry ends and rely on oils and and sprays to keep it soft and manageable. Most oils I will use a dime sized portion, but this product comes in a glass bottle with a dispenser that only puts out one drop at a time. The consistency is tick, even sticky, more like a serum than a runny oil. Being so thick, using more than a drop or 2 does leave my hair greasy. It’s well worth the price and I’ll definitely repurchase for the fragrance alone, but it won’t replace my other products that I still need for tangles and frizz. My only real complaint is that a glass bottle and oily hands don’t mix – I’ve dropped it several times and worry it will shatter one of these days. Just be super careful with that and you’ll love it!alexrae

Ok, so I bought this on the app early access day and will give my honest review. I use many different oils as I like to switch up my products every time I wash my hair, including Moroccan oil, olaplex oil, Dae prickly pair oil, ouia oil, gisou and briogeo don’t despair repair hair oil. Compared to all of those, this is by far the thickest oil for sure. I have thick straight hair and a lot of it, so I can get away with a good amount of oil. I am a stay at home mom so I have times where I actually use products to style my hair, and times where I put in more nutrient moisturizing products to just let it sit in a bun. This oil is definitely better distributed on damp hair, on dry hair it’s kind of thick and skips as you run your fingers through but I have to say it smells AMAZING and does have a few unique ingredients which I look for when buying hair care. With that being said this is definitely more of a treatment oil for me that a styling oil and it gives self care vibes with the smell so I give it a 5 star! Would be nice if it was slightly less thick but I’m sure that’s due to the unique ingredients. Sorry for the long review! I can’t believe how many negative reviews there are about the scent, I love it! I received samples of this hair oil and as someone with frizzy curly hair, I noticed a huge difference. Yes the scent is strong while applying but I personally loved it, and it was just strong enough that it lingers after your hair is dry, which is what I’d prefer anyway. Came here to purchase the full size because all of the other hair oils I own aren’t cutting it anymore. Also I’m stunned by how many reviews said they threw it in the trash after one use. Absolutely marvelous! Been locked down for over 3 weeks and ordered it cos my stylist showed me she uses it when she diffuses my hair. It's been getting bad, unable to get knots out no matter how many masks and conditioners I pile on. After a cocktail of 2, I gently used a wide-toothed comb last night, and there were those shiny curls she gives me. I thought this was a spray but no, it pumps into your hand. I have used this treatment 5 times so far, and plan to continue using because my hair issues are improving. The difference in the way my hair looks and feels were not dramatic after one use, although my hair felt more manageable after one treatment. I have extremely dry, thin hair, but I have a lot of hair so it appears tho be quit thick. I have always used more topical treatments to add texture, and moisturize my hair. I found it interesting that massaging the scalp with the oil would help with these issues. So following the directions starting from the root/scalp I think is important. The recommended small amount distributed through the hair was definitely not enough oil for the amount of hair I have, although the oil does distribute easily through the hair. There are a few recommendations for using. You can apply 30 minutes before shampoo to dry hair (this is the only recommended treatment I have used), apply and wrap your head with a warm moist towel for 15 minutes before shampoo, or apply and leave in over night (preferred). I think I probably need the latter for best results, but the smell is not good for me. I am not sure why the oil has an antiseptic smell. It's not refreshing, however the smell does not linger, and it washes right out. I read the list of ingredients to try and figure out why it has this smell. I think it must be from the natural oil extracts. My hair definitely appears to have more texture, and it is a lot more manageable. It looks less dry, and healthier. Aside from the somewhat unpleasant smell, I am quit happy with the Miracle oil.momof31129

I have dandruff and split ends problem so I purchased this oil. The main thing why I wasn't using any kind of oil was that I go to work everyday and giving oil n leaving overnight used to make my hair oily and with shampoo rinse the oil won't go off. But THIS SHAMPOO IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT. It also reduced my drandruff after the 1st application itself. PROS: 1. lightweight 2. Doesn't make our face oily too after application 3. Rinse of easily 4. I noticed less dandruff quickly after using this product. It leaves my scalp feeling healthier, and leads to my hair being healthier, shinier, and more lustrous, even though my hair is often colored. My hair is so soft and more vibrant than ever, and so much less frizzy! I have since gone back to my hair stylist to trim off those dead split-ends. The product from this company says it helps with hair loss too, which is what I suffer from now in my mid-30’s, and although I have not used this long enough to be able to tell whether the anti-hair-loss works, I know for a fact that my head feels a lot healthier – so I am very hopeful about the anti-hair-loss in the long run. The texture and smell may be something to get used to for some. I mean, it’s fragrance-free, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t smell like jojoba oil, or tea tree essential oil, or whatever your nose is sensitive to. If you’ve tried other hair oils, the texture is like that: thickish. WOW company’s hair oil really answers a lot of my hair own issues. All the ingredients listed in this hair oil are all essential oils and botanical extracts that are beneficial to the scalp, hair, and hair roots – and it’s cold-pressed AND all natural ingredients! I’m going to stick with this product for a few months to see how it battles my hair loss. I really can’t wait to find out! Even with rogaine, it takes at least a month to notice any differences. I really like the pump, so I can control how much oil you pump out. I don’t mind those disposable single use ones, nor the disposable multi-use larger ones for weekly treatments, but I prefer this. I have long hair, and my spouse has short hair. We both use different amounts, so once again, I have to say – LOVE the pump. To use this, apply it to your clean scalp (if you wash your hair every day anyways, this won’t be a problem, but if you don’t wash your hair for 2+ days, then it’s better to clean your hair first so that your scalp can absorb the oils better). You really want to focus it all over your scalp and not just your hair. So I apply it into my scalp first by gently massaging it in all over, then I comb it down through my hair to spread the oils down through my hair. If I need more for my hair, I apply sparingly and gently comb it through my hair. I prefer to wrap my hair with a damp/moist towel to sort of heat it for the first 15-20 minutes. Then I take the towel off and just leave it in my hair for another 45 minutes minimum (total of 1 hour minimum or so). Some people do it overnight and it does say it’s preferable to do this in the instructions, but I really don’t like to sleep with it in my hair. Shampoo and conditioner your hair as usual.Joanna

Possibly the worst hair product I've ever used. My hair was a greasy, waxy mess fro several days. I washed it 3-4 times a day, which I hated to do, but it would never wash out. It ended up taking 4 days of constant washing with strong shampoo and apple cider vinegar, which left my hair dry and in worse condition than before using the product. This Oil is so Lux and it's definitely worth it. I've been looking for an oil I can use while straightening my hair that will moisturize yet not weigh it down and this product helps go above and beyond. My hair is shiny bouncy and full and leaves me with that salon look, which i could never achieve before. I have pretty fine curly 3B hair and you wouldn't even know with this oil. So my stylist recommended this to me because she sells it at her salon. I saw that ulta had a sale on these and I bought it with the mask. The mask was not good. This oil however was good at first when you put it on, the next day it will dry out and your hair feels dry afterward. Then when you get it wet and shower your hair is back to silky soft again. It's almost as if there's some sort of chemical that made it that way. I have to look into it. But it smells good. It just dry my hair out on the 2nd or 3rd day so I can't go far after using this without rinsing my hair off. It's not like putting coconut oil on your hair where the oil doesn't evaporate and dry your hair out. This thing does. Maybe it's the alcohol or silicone? This is def not suitable for someone like me with dry damaged over bleached hair. Maybe for someone with already pretty healthy hair to begin with that don't need too much moisture the second day.BaileyG

This is a very basic product and can ve gotten very cheap at many Asian/Indian shop. Gooseberry oil is great for your hair and scalp, and for the 3-4 dollars you pay it is well worth a go. I have noticed it helps against hair fall and because it's meant to be massaged into the scalp and worked into the ends, it going to be good regardless. Scalp stimulation promotes not only hairgrowth, but it also helps against dandruff. Again: for the cost it's definitely worth a try. I like the scent, but they have different scents, like jasmine if the original scent isn't your thingkatja.j

I am a heavy tea drinker and enjoy a cigar every now and then, using commercial toothpaste I have not been able to remove the tea stains from my teeth! Since using Dabur toothpaste one year ago, It has removed all stains and discoloration. Leaves breath fresher way longer than commercial toothpaste with all it chemicals and additives. I am a user of all of Dabur tooth care products. Highly Recommend! I also have used Dabur, Alma Hail Oil for quite sometime now. It has caused hair to grow, where there was no hair before, Stop all split ends in my beard and what little hair I have left on my head Some people says it has help their hair turn black again! I've been trying a more holistic approach on growing my hair. I used to use almond oil in my hair when I was in high school. And that was when my curls were the thickest and strongest. I tried it again and I use it on my oil days. Because my hair gets super dry. I like taking it and rubbing it into my scalp and leaving it in while my hair is still wet so if it feels like my scalp is absorbing this oil. I haven't used it continuously but I've been using it for about 3 months now. And my scalp feels great.natasha.s
