This works if you alternate it with another shampoo and don't use it daily. I'm 39 and have fine, highlighted hair. This shampoo makes it look so shiny and smooth on the first wash, but by the second or third wash, it looks greasy and weighed down like I haven't washed it in days. I end up alternating it with my Redken cleansing shampoo. I also live with hard water, so that is probably causing some of the problem too. Most shampoos end up making my hair look greasy after a few washes and I have to use the cleaning shampoo. For me this wasn't an immediately drying or oily product. Gives sleek locks in exchange for increased oil build up. I have used less than five times. I've lost notable amounts of hair every wash. Been trying to let my hair adapt, but after 4 washes it has given me the "I haven't washed my hair in 4-7 days" look when it has truly been 1-2 days. Not cool. I'm a mom of two toddlers who can't hop in the shower for a full body treatment every day. For reference I usually have dry hair and wash it every other day in warmer months and occasionally every third day in the winter. Might be for others, but I don't think it's for me. I used the old brilliant gloss, but ceased once I turned vegan. My hair is naturally dry and I color it, and this shampoo is so lovely with the new and improved version. I'm not sure why others are stating it is not as great as the old version – for my hair type, it is even better! Lots of shine and moisture. I have not tried the conditioner but will be repurchasing the large size (originally purchased the travel sized for a special vacation trip). I really like using these products and how my hair feels after using them. I ordered the whole set during the flash sale and when I received the products the shampoo, conditioning spray, and the conditioner weren't closed properly so most of the product was in the bottom of the box. I sent an email about the issue but I received another email for a link that doesn't work to open a ticket. No one has reached out to me and I have been sent the same link twice. This is one of my top five shampoos for people who have a four c hair texture! The smell is amazing. It definitely gives off hints of pomegranate and honey which is the perfect snow combination. It provides a thick rich and full leather without having to use 17 pumps of shampoo. I Projects like that mielle products are parabens and sulfates paraffins and mineral oil all free. I was a little disappointed when I received my black Friday package from Mielle. I have ordered before and have been pleased but this time it was like everything was thrown in a box and shipped. The box was so beat up its like the products could have came out and almost would have im certain had it been tossed around any more and I know that part wasn't so much their fault but I figured it would have been put into another box to ship to prevent that problem. The products had no confetti at least to soften how its thrown around everything was so greasy i thought for sure a product or 3 were leaking and also nothing was wrapped at least in bubble wrap considering how it was boxed up. I have been using the Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo for a month now. I really like the coconut scent, it lathers really well and I was very pleased that a little goes a long way as I have very long and thick hair. I wash my hair every 3rd day, but I wet my hair and condition it every day. I have been using the Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Conditioner the 2nd day. I always use leave in conditioner but that day I had to use double the amount of what I normally use. Otherwise my hair felt & looked dry & frizzy. The product definitely did help with detangling my hair, not totally, but to a great enough degree where I was pleased. I didn’t notice any improvement in shine though. I was hoping to experience much more of an overall difference from all the various products I have used in the past. No huge noticeable difference, and more expensive than what I currently use. I love that Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo contain no silicones, parabens, no phathalates, no petrolatum & no mineral oil. Thankful to have found and purchased this amazing shampoo. My desire to nourish and manage my natural 4C porosity hair came with a challenge. Therefore, to increase the benefits to my damaged hair I gathered a portion of the Curl and Shine Hair Masque and combined it with a hint of tea tree oil, fresh rosemary water, rose water, and peppermint oil. Leaving in my hair for 30 minutes. My hair texture is incredibly moist. I shall continue this mixture until I am able to locate and purchase the High Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, which I already know is perfect for the restoration of my hair. The chemical perm greatly damaged my hair, thinned my hair, and broke my hair off in places. After two years of studying Cosmetology without desiring to work in this field, I have learned valuable new detailed information about hair on my own. So I really enjoyed using the product on both my baby girl and my own hair. Because we have very very different hair types, I noticed some important things. She has a healthy head of very fine, very varied coil curls. The shampoo worked great on very wet hair, it lathered well for a clarifying shampoo without turning her hair into dry grass. I rinsed twice to make sure the water ran well and clear. The conditioner was light and moisturizing, as promoted. I took the time to work it into all strands while damp to slightly wet with a curly hair wet brush. Afterward rinsing the conditioner lightly, I put in the styling cream. Here I realized I'd put in way too much, but the effect was still very good. Her curls were less prone to tangling, moisturized and made beautiful defined coils. My hair is fine but wavy, not curly. However my hair is super dry. I like using heavily moisturizing products from time to time to feed my hair. The products were too heavy for fine straighter hair, but it really moisturized heavily. My hair has a healthy strong feel and a beautiful glisten that it has after a moisturizing hair mask. Overall, on straighter finer hair, I'd say use the conditioner thoroughly but rinse very well and easy on the styling cream. I didn't experience any waxiness anywhere.Thali22

I'd been looking for the right combination to get a natural looking red/auburn (I CANNOT pull off ginger much to my chagrin) for almost a year and was afraid to go red again after my last experience with red (well orange) but I can't talk enough about how good this product is. I had mousy, light brown hair that is, at this point after 5 or so years of frowning it out, virgin hair. I also don't use heat on my hair so it's rather resistant to most temporary, semi- or Demi permanent color, which leads to a LOT of transfer. I have little to no transfer even with day 3-4 hair or after the shower as long as I rinse until the water is clear. I mix the merlot and copper shades 50/50 and use it every other wash in the place of my normal cleansing conditioner which equals about 1x a week for me with my curly girl routine. I've found this maintains the color without having to wait extended periods of time with goop on your head. I only do that every 4-5 washes depending on how my color is holding up. I get so many compliments on the color (it's been described to me as Irish setter red if you want a visual aid). People are shocked when I say it's dyed which is crazy to me but definitely welcome! I have very few gripes about the product, only really two minor things. Unfortunately, like almost every other non-permanent due on the market, it does have silicones, it just comes with the territory but I find that the shampooing with the color keeps my hair from getting too limp or messing with my curl pattern (3A). I don't like silicones but it's a trade-off I find worth it, especially given that I can stop using the product if it's weighing my hair down and messing with the curls. In addition to that, because I have to mix the colors and red is notorious for staining, my hands, my bathroom and tub have become Peach Bellini or red tinted on more than one occasion but that's more me not being careful enough than the product being bad. It's the one thing I can find that adds my particular color as I "shampoo". I'm grateful someone is making something for us people who like the look of stains. But honestly, it's a very small bottle and it's a bit pricy. I'm willing to pay it but with a caveat, there is no lather. It's exactly like when I've accidentally used the conditioner instead of the shampoo while in the shower. Not a great experience. So, how did it "clean?" Um, just like you'd expect conditioner to clean your scalp and hair. I use it but since I only shampoo every three days I want that creepy stank from scalp oil to not be on me. It's there. No… so I have to cheat by adding some of my other purple shampoo (no alcohol or other bad chemicals in it) to get a real clean experience. I use it alone every other time I shampoo and then I add enough of my other purple stuff on the alternating days to get rid of the scalp stank. I do not have oily scalp either. I don't even know how people with an oily skin condition would feel about this product. Would I recommend? Yes. But I would add my own experience just to get feedback from others. Good thing is the bottle takes up almost no space in the shower and the pump wasn't stubborn!😂Pam
This review is for maintaining fashion color that was done professionally. I had purple and pink rainbow hair. My stylist recommended using this product as directed every other wash. I mixed the pink with a small amount of purple to make a dark pink. It really seemed to revive both colors. I applied to wet hair, used in place of shampoo and conditioner, left in for the rest of my shower, and then rinsed with cool water. Afterwards I applied olaplex hair perfector and a few drops of olaplex oil. Every time my hair was left perfectly soft and clean. I easily made it 3 months between color appointments. The bottle does say to test the product before each use. I imagine there must be some allergic reactions that can result, which I think is supported by several reviews stating they had hair loss. I would recommend being careful about trying to use this as a dye or for extended time on dry hair. This product does not work on my natural brunette growth. Lastly, this can stain your hands, but it won't for long. I just rinse my hands after every segment of hair that I work it into. I also have a scalp scrubber and wide tooth comb that I use to gently distribute so I'm not just using my hands. Rinse the product off of the shower walls and tub or it can stain, but bleach spray takes it right out.B

To start – I have coily, thick hair but very thin hair strands. This has been the ONLY shampoo I’ve ever used that doesn’t completely strip my hair or cause ridiculous tangles in the shower. I’ve been using this for about 3/4 years now and I have no complaints. I’m able to start my wash days off without stress because of this shampoo. It’s also gentle on my hair. I’ve also had success in the past with using it to get my hair “squeaky clean” just by doing a deep double wash versus one. I’ve yet to even encountered a conditioner that detangles my hair as well as this does! I hope this product never gets discontinued because I’m 100% loyal to this product!!Amber B
I was looking for something more moisturizing for my relaxed hair as my current shampoo was too clarifying, despite claiming to be moisturizing as well. I switched to this one and after one wash, condition and flat iron, it's giving fresh out the salon chair. Much fewer fly-aways, my hair looks shinier and physically feels more moisturized. Ok curly girls! This is a true find. I purchased this from Ulta. I had never heard of this brand before so I stumbled upon it. I thought why not give it a chance and wow so glad I did. This is a sulfate free shampoo but does lather up. It lives up to it's name! You want moisturized curls? Well here it is. Soft hair? Here it is. What I love about this product as soon as you put this sulfate free shampoo on your hair you can tell the difference compared to other sulfate free shampoo. I love that it lathers up and feels slick in my hair. It really detangles my hair and when you rinse your hair you can actually run your finger through your hair. This product also helps with frizz. So yes run out and get yourself a bottle you'll be glad you did. Trust me I have tried so many high priced shampoos that didn't live up to the hype. Price is decent. This is now my shampoo of choice. First thing is I received this #freeproduct color mask in the color "pitch black". I'm upset as this was not a black color at all, it's gray. While technically the color is on the bottle in a small font where it can be overlooked, it's still misleading calling it black. Since I already dye my hair black I thought I could use this to cover my roots and brighten the rest. I was so wrong. I applied it on dry hair and left it on beyond the 15 minutes in the directions, for about an hour under a cap (to benefit from the "mask" oils). Even though this is a darker gray, it didn't cover my natural brunette color at my roots and left my hair looking dull and kinda dirty. However it did leave my normally dry curly hair soft to the touch, but it was still extremely frizzy and prone to breakage after. Fortunately for me after the 1st wash a little more than half the color came out and my hair looked less dull & dirty. It still felt soft for a while even after adding frizz control serums. I'm really hoping the other colors are more accurate and perhaps work slightly better on darker hair, but this is still a good hair mask, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars. I would probably recommend this more to someone who has lighter hair for color purposes and others more for the mask part, but not at it's current price. Ok – so the color transfer worked better than I thought it might… meaning it did deposit quite a lot of color. It was relatively easy to use, and was not harsh on my hair or scalp. My hair is feeling soft after using, but will see how it does after washing again. However, the colors need better descriptions, especially the colors like La Plage. I used La Plage which is merely described as "sand" on very light blonde hair, hoping to restore some more natural sandy blonde color to my hair again. The product did work on my dry hair depositing color in 15 minutes, but the color I would not describe as "sand." There are parts that are very very strawberry blonde or reddish blonde, and some that are slightly more subtle with the reddish hues. It did restore a more natural-looking color to my hair, just not the color I was hoping for. I think the other colorful colors will be hard to confuse, but the La Plage was not very straight forward. I also bought the "strawberry" color expecting to use it later in the summer, but I may try it sooner than expected considering this strawberry blonde is not really what I wanted. I will try to update this review again later. For now, I'm going to give this a few days and see what the color does after a few washes. Also, I had watched a video review of the "magic" color before purchasing. That color is very gray, and on the darker side. I have naturally straight dark brown hair, between a level 4 or 5 and get it balayaged to a sandy neutral blonde, between a level 7/8. I've wanted to try something new without making a drastic change for a while now and decided to give this a shot. The instructions say that you can use on dry hair for up to 15 minutes a more intense color or on wet hair for a few minutes for a more subtle look. I really did not want a noticeable difference, so I left it on for about 10 to15 minutes on wet hair and the result was very, very subtle. The color is mostly visible up close or in sunlight, and it looked very soft and pastel – almost peach colored. This was perfect for me and just want I was looking for. The color, however, did not last. After my first wash it completely faded away, which is fine considering I was not looking for anything permanent. The best part though was the way it made my hair feel, it was so incredibly soft! Better than my Amika hair mask and the smell was wonderful. This may work better if your hair is already lightened and you leave it on dry hair for 20-30 min, but if you're looking for something subtle that is not long lasting and will leave your hair feeling soft and smooth, then this is a great product.Meegs

This used to be really good. My hairdresser used it on my hair once and it was so good I went out and bought my own. Loved it. Left my hair soft and completely frizz and flyaway free. I was so happy to find something weightless to achieve that and that felt like water on my hair instead of a heavy cream or serum. Then all of a sudden they decided to change the formula. Why did they have to do that?! The new formula had a strong smell and it actually created frizz in my hair, so bad that it lost all shape. Day 2 and 3 it started feeling stringy at the ends. I hated it. Now I’ll have to look for a new product to use that’ll hopefully give me the previous results. If they did this with their other products they’ll become the next DevaCurl. I have dirty blonde, thick, wavy, slightly frizzy hair, and I have never found a hair product that gave me soft, defined, frizz-free curls. This product gives me just that! I cannot believe that I finally found a product that leaves my hair soft and my curls defined. I was mesmerized by the results! Directions for use: After taking a shower, either towel dry, wring out, or air dry your hair until it is still wet, but not damp and full of water. Next, with a wide-tooth comb, brush hair so that there are no knots. Then, layer by layer, pick up pieces of your hair and spray thoroughly, making sure that you are spraying the sections where you want your curls/waves defined. I go ahead and spray my entire head of hair – BC IT'S JUST THAT GOOD! Comb through after spraying. After about 30 minutes to an hour, I go back and brush out my hair with the wide-tooth comb again, just to make sure my hair doesn't get crunchy. If you don't comb your hair again after spraying, your hair may end up more crunchy than you'd want; if you do comb it again, your hair will have no crisp, and it will be as soft as can be. I have very naturally curly hair and have tried an extremely wide variety of products and brands over the years. I was very skeptical with this one claiming to be all products in one, but it truly is. I couldn’t believe what my hair looked like when all I did was spray it in, comb it through, and let air dry. Because it is light it does not weigh my curls down and my hair dries quicker as well because I’m not using heavier styling creams or gels. I’m really pleased with this product. I even love the removable lock on the sprayer so you can take it with you without any mess. Where they could improve is the shape of the bottle. The rectangle is not the easiest to handle. It makes my hair so soft. But, I’ve noticed more hair loss through shedding as well as breakage. Also, it does not make my hair shiny, it actually kind of gives it a dull and “heavy” appearance. The smell is not so great in my opinion. It smells artificial and plastic like. One awesome plus is how easily my hair detangles! Like I have literally no tangles after washing my hair. But, I can’t continue using it due to the negatives. I’ve used other L’Oréal Elvive products before and loved them but there’s just too many negatives with this shampoo.poison ivy
The smell of this L’Oreal great lengths shampoo and conditioner is intoxicating! It smells absolutely fabulous! The shampoo cleans well and moisturizers, and the conditioner is amazingly moisturizing. My long thick hair tangles easily and always requires additional moisturizers after my shower. Not with the shampoo and conditioner! I do not have to add any other conditioners to my hair and at least my hair very light and easy to style! Great product! I love the Dream Lengths products! Finally something that got rid of the winter dryness and static in my hair!! I have waist-length hair and the indoor heat and dry winter air had my ends super dry. Now my ends are soft and the wave is back in my hair, no more flat winter hair. I use the Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo and the Dream Lengths Super Detangler Conditioner in the shower, then put a light amount of Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream on as a leave-in on towel-dried wet hair (on length of hair, not on scalp) before I comb my hair with a wide-tooth comb. I've been putting a little extra of the cream on my ends after combing. I use the Dream Lengths Frizz Killer Serum in the morning on dry hair to add shine (I rub a small amount between my hands then smooth my hair with it). All these products leave my hair super shiny (other people have noticed) and no longer dry or frizzy and my scalp feels clean even if I skip washing. I received this product in exchange for a review. This product works pretty well but not out of the ballpark amazing. I am 6 months pregnant right now and currently have a hard time keeping up on my platinum blonde hair. That being said thai product is pretty concentrated and does it's job pretty well for the ends of my hair that are still very much blonde. I really don't like the smell of this shampoo I think it is overwhelmingly resemblance of being in a salon and am pretty glad the scent does not continue far beyond the rinse. As for if it improved my hair structure I would say I didn't see any improvement there at all but I still have a full bottle despite using it daily. The yellow tone though is pretty much gone though. I would recommend it if it were drastically price cut because the price tag associated with this product is way too high in my opinion I've used other products under 10 dollars with the same results that you can easily pick up at your local store.Hefaroni26
I know the going trend is purple/grey platinum blonde, which I don't think this would be the best for, but if u want to keep your warmth without being brassy, this works better than any purple shampoos I've used. I have a lot of Irish heritage, pale skin and eyes, lots of light freckling in sun touched spots and firey red and gold inside my naturally brown follicles that shines very brightly in sun light. The warmth has become more pronounced with age and even the stripes of brunette that are left untouched after doing lightening balayage are a redening chestnut/auburn. the warm blonde really compliments my coloring so I'm not complaining, I just don't want it to be too yellow or too brassy. all of the other purple shampoos I have tried made my hair look almost green, even redken which I read was specifically recommended by experts for warm blondes, and it didn't matter how quick I rinsed it out after applying,, it clashed with my hair coloring so badly.. I hated it. I was so thrilled to try this and find it actually worked perfectly, no brassy-ness or ugly yellow, just perfectly golden honey warm blonde and auburn/chestnut. I love ash blonde and the purple tinted platinum but this happy accident of a warm hair color works better on me than I'd have imagined and I'm so thrilled to find a way to maintain it. idk about it being drying like some others said, I've found all purple shampoos to be a little drying, I assumed because they lather so well and also I do a pre-wash so there's no product impeding it. having color treated hair, I always add lots of super conditioning products, hydraters and proteins treatments before I'm done on wash day and also being a warm blonde, I only use purple shampoo once a month, preferably when it's time for a clarifying cleanse and I do an oil treatment the night before. I did alot of searching online reading reviews on all products, that was my make or break on finally making a purchase. WTBS I'm super happy with this product and have been using it for over a month before even writing a review. The shampoo is so fragrant, it WOW'd me, it doesn't smell that strong out the bottle, I love it, but if you are sensitive to strong scents you might not like it, but after using over a week or so, you get used to its power and enjoy it alot. Lathers well, my hair feels super clean and soft, mega sleek is exactly what you get with this combination. When blow drying you can still smell the luxurious smell, faintly not over powering but where you know your hair smells SO GOOD! My frizz and fly aways are definitely helped by this product. I normally straighten my hair almost daily, but since my big chop and I'm growing out my natural hair, I want it super healthy and the least amount damaged as possible, so right now no flat iron only blow drying and it looks very good! I haven't had a haircut in over 22 weeks so I can only imagine how it would look straightened with the help of this Mega Sleek. This will be my shampoo and conditioner for a long time. The conditioner is nice and slimey (if you have hair like mine that will tangle horribly and you need a slimey conditioner just to be able to comb it after.. my hair is shoulder length now, but used to be LONG, my hair acts no different with a different length), its very conditioning and works very well!!! I have zero complaints on both these products and do recommend! Only warning is the scent if you are sensitive, you can always try and return, but give it a fair chance. I honestly love this stuff and so glad I found the right product so I can stick with something that makes me and my hair happy. FINALLY!! P.S. I really love that this product truly makes my fizzy, wavy hair less frizzy and sleek! I come out of the shower with shiny hair and it seems to stay much more tame than with standard shampoos!! I am very happy with this shampoo! This shampoo has little to no scent, so it's great for people who also prefer mild-scented hair products! Highly recommend for anyone, but especially for those who deal with frizz! I usually buy Aveda smooth infusion but they changed the formula/product and reviews aren't great. So I tried this. I am completely surprised at how much I love it! It smooths my hair nicely on straight hair days but also makes my curls so happy on curly days. Great price. Does everything you would want your shampoo and conditioner to do. Thank you! As other reviewers stated, I couldn't see the difference of length in my hair by using this but as someone with natural hair, this product definitely provides the moisture you need when your hair is on the dry side. I’ve been using this line of hair products for a while, and it is a great moisture lock for 4b/4c hair! I highly recommend using this product with your favorite leave in-conditioner, as it mixes well with just about any! I paired this grease with after I washed my hair and performed a twist based protective style on my hair, and after few days, my hair is still moisturized!! The only cons to this product is that if you solely use it on your hair, it will be extremely greasy and it does have a slight smell to it. After you get done rubbing it into your hair, the surrounding area will smell like the grease, haha. To alleviate the smell, don’t just use this on your hair alone. Also, if you happen to pat or scratch your hair, there will be some residue on your hands. To yield the best results, pair it with another product!!ace.r

The ONLY two things I love about this conditioner are the scent and softness of how my hair becomes after. That’s why I only gave it 2 stars. If you have carpal tunnel or arthritis, skip this product and go for something else. This bottle was horribly invented for this amazing conditioner. It’s EXTREMELY hard to squeeze the conditioner out and you can’t even take the cover off to make it easier. Also, you have to hold the bottle then swing it hard in order for the conditioner to get off the bottom to the top, then squeeze it real hard. To me, it’s not worth it. i LOVED THIS!! i have (well had! not anymore) dry, frizzy hair that gets tangled easily, especially in the shower. used this on my scalp (yes my hair is THAT dry.) and ends in the shower, and it was so nice and luxurious. i didnt even need to use a hand brush/detangling brush because my hair immediately straightened up in the shower just using my fingers for a few seconds. my hair also felt SO moisturized afterwards, literally so soft. i loved this so much, it didnt make my hair oily, it locked in enough moisture to give me the hair i actually desired from a hair product. will never use any other conditioners unless they can give me a whole new head of hair like this one does!!! i definitely recommend, never used a better product. and no, this review is not automatic, bcz this is THAT good!!!!!!!janis
This is the best product for my crazy hair. I have frizzy hair, a little wavy and thin at the scalp. It is color treated and dry at the ends. I normally use ogx Brazilian conditioner but not crazy for the scent. I was just attracted to Maui smell and color. It wasnt very expensive, so decided to try. So glad I did. My hair has truly transformed into a healthy, soft, shiny and bouncy texture. I absolutely love it! I use Royal oils H&s for shampoo because I had dandruff, that helped and it’s been over a year I’ve used and got rid of it. This conditioner is amazing. Seriously, the price is affordable. I have a fine, thin and arm-length hair that lack volume snd that require daily washing (thanks to the genes in my family). I have used many, maany professional hair products to find which one would work best for me, many of them being professional brands and higher on the price range. Had my hopes high with this one, but unfortunately they were not met. The good things are the bigger amount (300ml vs standard 250ml) and not too strong scent. These are the pluses for the conditioner and shampoo. Unfortunately the conditioner is too heavy in my opinion and despite washing it off properly it still weighs down my hair plus I really have to wash it the next day (which with other brands sometimes doesn’t happen). I also noticed that my hair became more frizzy and just not looking good.. I will try to finish the bottle (half way through!) but won’t repurchase.Alicja
I do not have fine or thin hair, but it isn't course or thick – I just have a lot of it. Because of that I struggle with volume at the roots and most shampoos and conditions either clean my hair and leave me with a dry scalp and flat hair, or it is weighted down and gets oily quick. No matter what, I always have to use a volumizer and still dont achieve the hairs goals I dream of. FINALLY! The hair of my dreams has arrived!!!! (Actually, I am still working on growing it out) I took their quiz on Ouai's website and was recommended the medium shampoo & conditioner. I went with my gut after reading the ingredients/goals and got the fine shampoo & conditioner. MY FOREVER DUO! I have used this combo and both air dried my hair and blow-dried my hair. Each time my results were amazing!!!! Naturally air-drying my hair left me with loads of body and volume and not only looked healthy, clean and bouncy – but it also felt amazing and smelled wonderful. When I blow-dried my hair, I had so much volume and it did not fall at all. I wash my hair twice a week and have to use dry shampoo and with this combo I made it through workouts and sleeping crazy and still had clean hair. That is a FIRST!!! I switched to the Super Dry Shampoo before turning their shampoo/conditioner and loved it…now I don't even have to use it unless I want a little refresh but overall I am good to go. My first impression of the smell from the bottles was not favorable, but when it is activated with water and applied to scalp and hair, it smells unbelievable. I love fragrances and everything I buy must be scented. After shampooing with the detox shampoo and conditioning with Ouai for fine hair – I hair and scalp feel cleaner than ever. I have very hard water and just one shampoo with this stuff has made my hair feel better than it has in years. I was using living proof detox prior to this and I will not go back! Please do not change these ingredients! It has taken me years to find a product that works for my hair which is very long and color treated. I have fine strands but it’s pretty dense – so I have a lot of it. I am letting my hair air dry, but scalp feels cool and tingly, so one or more ingredients has the blood flowing, for sure. I'd been looking for the right combination to get a natural looking red/auburn (I CANNOT pull off ginger much to my chagrin) for almost a year and was afraid to go red again after my last experience with red (well orange) but I can't talk enough about how good this product is. I had mousy, light brown hair that is, at this point after 5 or so years of frowning it out, virgin hair. I also don't use heat on my hair so it's rather resistant to most temporary, semi- or Demi permanent color, which leads to a LOT of transfer. I have little to no transfer even with day 3-4 hair or after the shower as long as I rinse until the water is clear. I mix the merlot and copper shades 50/50 and use it every other wash in the place of my normal cleansing conditioner which equals about 1x a week for me with my curly girl routine. I've found this maintains the color without having to wait extended periods of time with goop on your head. I only do that every 4-5 washes depending on how my color is holding up. I get so many compliments on the color (it's been described to me as Irish setter red if you want a visual aid). People are shocked when I say it's dyed which is crazy to me but definitely welcome! I have very few gripes about the product, only really two minor things. Unfortunately, like almost every other non-permanent due on the market, it does have silicones, it just comes with the territory but I find that the shampooing with the color keeps my hair from getting too limp or messing with my curl pattern (3A). I don't like silicones but it's a trade-off I find worth it, especially given that I can stop using the product if it's weighing my hair down and messing with the curls. In addition to that, because I have to mix the colors and red is notorious for staining, my hands, my bathroom and tub have become Peach Bellini or red tinted on more than one occasion but that's more me not being careful enough than the product being bad. I've been buying the smaller bottles for 2 years and then last year there was a 50% off sale so i bought 3 of these huge bottles. i lost 2 of the bottles during moving (😭😭😭 i mourned these and ripped apart everything trying to find them) but the big bottle i did get to try, lasted over 6 months, it definitely replaced my use of shampoo AND conditioner bc it DID feel cleaner without having to using a shampoo n i felt like not using a shampoo at all was better. it DOES stain ur tub n shower if u dont wipe it off immediately if it does splatter but honestly worth it. its not AS staining as some other color depositing conditioners ive used, it smells great, and the color DOES last. fyi tho if u scratch ur scalp like i do when im thinking, the color will show up under ur fingernails tho 🤡 you can check my insta n quite literally see how long its lasted me since hair salon color. after using it once touching up roots n overall hair dye at the hair salon, the color literally never faded except for the times i didnt use the clenditioner. i also think it made my hair softer n healthier too. idk ab these hair loss claims but my hair was already losing hair bc of my continuous 4+ years long hair color journey of repeatedly dying it pink for 4 or so years without a break so maybe the hair loss claims are just ab the bleach? or some other environmental factor? i dont think its made it more hair loss-y tho. the color is rosegold however u can see a bit of lilac/lavender colors in there too so ig just be aware? i dont mind it all tho cause i love the pink, rose gold, and lilac/lavender hues i hope they have the 50% off sale again bc if i buy another 3 bottles–im pretty sure itll last 3 years(at least for me) i use to have shoulder length hair but now more like bust length hair. This review is for maintaining fashion color that was done professionally. I had purple and pink rainbow hair. My stylist recommended using this product as directed every other wash. I mixed the pink with a small amount of purple to make a dark pink. It really seemed to revive both colors. I applied to wet hair, used in place of shampoo and conditioner, left in for the rest of my shower, and then rinsed with cool water. Afterwards I applied olaplex hair perfector and a few drops of olaplex oil. Every time my hair was left perfectly soft and clean. I easily made it 3 months between color appointments. The bottle does say to test the product before each use. I imagine there must be some allergic reactions that can result, which I think is supported by several reviews stating they had hair loss. I would recommend being careful about trying to use this as a dye or for extended time on dry hair. This product does not work on my natural brunette growth. Lastly, this can stain your hands, but it won't for long. I just rinse my hands after every segment of hair that I work it into. I also have a scalp scrubber and wide tooth comb that I use to gently distribute so I'm not just using my hands. Rinse the product off of the shower walls and tub or it can stain, but bleach spray takes it right out.B

I absolutely love this product! I use it in between getting my hair professionally colored and it tones down the brassiness and livens up my dull hair. I have naturally medium brown hair that I get highlighted and colored occasionally. I used to get my hair professionally colored more often but after finding this product I do this instead when I don’t need highlights and I just want to refresh the brunette color. This product deepens my brunette hair while still showing dimension from my highlights. My hair comes out shiny and looking much more healthy. For me this is a life saver product! I have dark brown brown hair with red highlights, and I bought the mask to refresh my highlights since they faded to orange. I put the mask all over my hair after I showered and towel dried and I took a while applying so in total I probably had it on for 20 minutes. My orange highlights are now a nice cherry red and although I didn’t expect it to some areas of my dark hair have a tint to it! I also have a platinum blonde birthmark in my hair which I tried my best to separate from the mask in fear of staining it, I couldn’t get it 100% out so those hairs turned pink so beware if you’re naturally a very light blonde. Also I wouldn’t even be mad if it didn’t color because my hair feels and smells incredible! I’m hoping I can build it to a deeper red or mix it with the cocoa mask for a darker red in the fall. I have used platinum and blue. I expected the platinum one to turn my hair silver, but it barely does anything. It more just tones brass out of your blonde hair and darkens it a little. My hair is a bleached medium blonde to pale blonde, and the pale blonde areas looked much more silver toned, the darker blonde hairs it basically did nothing, got a little darker. I have also tried mixing the blue into the platinum to get a more steel blue silver tone, and that works well. The blue was very nice, not green at all. And gave my silver hair a much deeper silver stainless steel color. Using the blue undiluted would be much more blue. The colors are good if you want something temporary or wanna experiment. But the best part was that it made my hair feel pretty soft and healthier. I hope they come out with more colors, and more concentration color options. I was going to try lilac but I saw some people saying it faded into a green, so now I'm afraid to try it. The only issue for me was when i applied the platinum to my shoulder length dry hair, I had to use the WHOLE FULL SIZE BOTTLE. My hair is thick and dry, and I literally used the whole thing. So if you want the bottle to last then do not apply to dry hair, make sure your hair is DAMP first. The directions say towel dried,. I have also applied it while IN the shower and mixed with my conditioner, and I got good color touch-up results from that too.3lll3

It’s a clear shampoo with a great clean scent. Unlike some sulfate free, no build up type shampoos, this didn’t leave my dry and frizz prone hair feeling stripped. It actually gave my hair a soft and smooth feeling. I use this once weekly and wash with another shampoo for my other shampooing during the week. I can’t speak to how this product works for those who wash daily but it definitely feels gentle. I’d been wanting to try this brand for quite some time and I actually won this product so I received it free. My opinion is my own honest feedback after using the shampoo weekly for the past 3 months. I’m interested in trying other products from Color Wow, especially the Dream Coat. I originally got this from a Today Show steals & deals segment (they sucker me in all the time) and received full size shampoo, conditioner, and 3 other styling and heat protectant products. I always try things for several weeks, go back to my usual stuff for several weeks and see if I can tell a difference. I absolutely positively can with this shampoo/conditioner! My hair is silky, light, bouncy, shiny and not greasy at all. My notice my ends don’t get as dry between washes (I was my hair once/week) and I can go much longer before I need dry shampoo. My color looks amazing and even if I didn’t have any color (majority of my hair is my natural color) I would still use WOW. Give it a shot – it’s very comparable to SUPER expensive/higher end stuff and PRO TIP for you girls saying it left your hair “gunky” – girl get your head under the bathroom sink after your shower with cold cold water to make sure ALL of it is out of your hair/scalp. I wish I could give this 4.5 stars. The smell is mild, nice. It lathers up well. It doesn’t tangle my hair like some other sulfate free shampoos do. It creates beautiful shine. I don’t notice any color fallout at all. Overall I really enjoy this shampoo and have repurchased it a few times. My issue is that I feel like I have to use a lot of it each time and if I wash my hair more than twice a week, the ends can feel a little dry. But I don’t have another shampoo that I like better so I just use a heavier conditioner on my ends. 🙂AZDocFox

It makes my hair so soft. But, I’ve noticed more hair loss through shedding as well as breakage. Also, it does not make my hair shiny, it actually kind of gives it a dull and “heavy” appearance. The smell is not so great in my opinion. It smells artificial and plastic like. One awesome plus is how easily my hair detangles! Like I have literally no tangles after washing my hair. But, I can’t continue using it due to the negatives. I’ve used other L’Oréal Elvive products before and loved them but there’s just too many negatives with this shampoo.poison ivy
The smell of this L’Oreal great lengths shampoo and conditioner is intoxicating! It smells absolutely fabulous! The shampoo cleans well and moisturizers, and the conditioner is amazingly moisturizing. My long thick hair tangles easily and always requires additional moisturizers after my shower. Not with the shampoo and conditioner! I do not have to add any other conditioners to my hair and at least my hair very light and easy to style! Great product! I love the Dream Lengths products! Finally something that got rid of the winter dryness and static in my hair!! I have waist-length hair and the indoor heat and dry winter air had my ends super dry. Now my ends are soft and the wave is back in my hair, no more flat winter hair. I use the Elvive Dream Lengths Restoring Shampoo and the Dream Lengths Super Detangler Conditioner in the shower, then put a light amount of Dream Lengths No Haircut Cream on as a leave-in on towel-dried wet hair (on length of hair, not on scalp) before I comb my hair with a wide-tooth comb. I've been putting a little extra of the cream on my ends after combing. I use the Dream Lengths Frizz Killer Serum in the morning on dry hair to add shine (I rub a small amount between my hands then smooth my hair with it). All these products leave my hair super shiny (other people have noticed) and no longer dry or frizzy and my scalp feels clean even if I skip washing. I have medium length and someone thin hair. I found this shampoo to be very lightweight and while it did add shine, moisture, and smoothness, I didn’t find a difference between this shampoo vs drug store brand. My hair is not dyed and already very hydrated so unfortunately I didn’t see any difference. It does smell nice and my scalp wasn’t dry. The ends of my hair were smooth and didn’t look dry. My husband also used it as he has dry scalp and he felt that it was helpful in keeping his scalp moisturized. On days where I blew dry my hair, it was silky smooth. On days where I air dried, it was fluffy and smooth. My hair was not oily after 4 days without any products. I rarely touch my hair to avoid transferring oils. For the price, I wished it was a bigger bottle. I did use the IGK Dream Hair Conditioner after shampooing. I got this product in a FabFitFun box. I’ll start off saying that the actual product is great. It lathers nicely, smells great and my hair feels awesome after using it. 5/5 for the product itself. Where it loses points is the packaging. It gives hardcore dollar store vibes. The bottles are not opaque or at least have an opaque line to see the product and how much is left. Due to the font size and style and busyness of the label and also the above comment, it’s really really difficult to tell which is the shampoo and conditioner. Each time I’ve used it, I had to open the shower curtain to get better lighting to see which is which. The packaging is so poor and cheap looking. I was surprised that the small bottle goes for $30. I got this product for free in exchange of my honest review. First off packaging is pretty, price wise I say it’s a bit steeped for a regular sized shampoo bottle. Of course I know it’s a vegan product so a lot of work went into production I would say? The product consistency is thick and once I lathered onto my med length hair I find that I needed to pour more so I can get the lather I need for my hair. It felt a bit stripping but I liked the feeling of it being really cleaned. Smell is nice not too fragrantly. I do believe when you use this it needs to be used as combo with the conditioner.AngelaCarrat
