I ordered three travel/trial size products: Perfect defense, medium hairspray, and the dry texture spray. All 3 are aerosol cans, but the Perfect Defense came broken. It didn’t appear broken but upon trying to spray, it wouldn’t come out of the nozel but leaked out of the top, fizzing. The other two were perfectly fine, and I love them! I've used a ton of different heat protectants and find myself repurchasing this one the most. This Morrocanoil Perfect Defense has 450° protection and is effective at protecting my strands without any residue or weighing my hair down. I absolutely love the scent and while not as strong as other Morrocanoil products, it stays true to their signature scent which is likely my favorite of all haircare lines. The only downfall to this heat protectant is the ingredients. Ether and alcohol are the first two ingredients listed so this may be a deal breaker for some. I did not find this protectant to be drying or adversely affect my hair in anyway. LOVE this! Leaves my chemically damaged hair so much shinier and softer than most things I’ve tried! I imagine a lot of the bad reviews are from people who are using it on dry hair when it’s meant for wet hair. I have had 2 different Sephora employees recommend this to me when was looking for heat protectant spray to use on hair that’s already dry. I read all the good reviews and thought it would be a good buy, however when I used it it made my hair feel super snarly!! No matter how careful I was I was just breaking and pulling hair because it was so snarly! I have never had that before not even with hairspray in my hair! It felt weird like a bad hairspray and a greaser…. it was used on hair washed 4 hours prior and was fully dried…. I applied and was ready to Hot Iron my hair, but it was just snarely no matter how I brushed it, it was terrible in my hair and when I was FINALLY done hot ironing it was still just a mess and it felt gross like a film all over my hair…. I would not buy again nor would I recommend it to people I known
It smells like really strong men's cheap cologne. The smell is very masculine. My husband smelled it and even questioned why my hair smelled like a man, and I gave him the bottle to demonstrate. I'm very picky about the scents that I use, and I will be avoiding this just based on the smell. Most people who wear long hair and use a curling iron are women, so you would think a more neutral scent or something feminine would be more suitable. I bought this product because I’ve been needing heat protection for my hair. Chi is an AMAZING brand so this has to be marvelous I thought. Boy was I WRONG!! This was my first time using any kind of heat protector in my life. When I sprayed it on, it felt like hair spray. As soon as I ran my fingers through my damp hair it felt sticky and hard. I started to get bad vibes about this product right away. I ignored the red flag, and continued to blow dry my hair. My hair was a complete mess. Tangled everywhere, breaking apart. Hair was all over the place. And the hair kept getting stuck to my brush and fingers causing me to break it and creating extreme damage. I have red hair at the moment & this product definitely faded the color out. The way it looked afterwards was dry, absolutely shine less, and very brittle. The only thing it did was give me volume. That’s why I gave it two stars. It’s more like 1.5 tbh. I can name a bunch of other products that can give you volume for way less damage. For a first time heat protectant buyer. This was a no no. Started using this product today. At first, I really liked it and thought it was nice overall. Then the smell hit. At first, I was like ah this is interesting. Not bad. But then it got worse. I was like why does this smell like this and what does it remind me of? I didn't quite like the smell, and as I used more of it (because the product itself is great), I then realized: it smells like cat litter. I'm going to return it for the coconut scented one and see if that one is better because the product itself is great. Very lightweight, sprays on easily, isn't sticky or tacky or gross. Left my hair feeling great, nice and soft, and actually made styling my hair a lot easier. It was just the smell that turned me off. I don't have thick hair but it appears like I do because I have SO much hair. It's color damaged and very dry and frizzy so I either need to add curling cream to get my waves or fully blow dry it straight. I used to use the Bb repair blow dry cream and that made my hair silky after a blow dry. This product left me with a residue on my hair I can feel. I was on TIK TOK late one night, as usual, and came across a hair dresser that recommended the Verb Ghost line shampoo, well one thing led to another and I found that Ulta has a starter kit that included the shampoo, conditioner, prep, and oil. So because it was such a great deal, I ordered a kit and added their deep conditioner because who doesn't like having a deep container to try as well. While I waited 3 days for my order to arrive, I allowed my hair to get as dirty as possible. If I was going to try this line, I wanted to get the full effect on the first use. The order finally arrived and I ran to the bathroom like a giddy school girl that couldn't wait to try this product line. Let's talk packaging! It is simple but high end. To be honest, the name Ghost and it being a black bottle, is what originally won my goth little heart! The smell was about average for salon quality hair care, which is great because I knew it wasn't filled with a bunch of artificial fragrances. I did my usual lather rinse repeat, followed with the deep conditioner that I let sit for 5 mins, towel dried my hair, added a little squirt of the Verb Ghost Prep through out my whole head, combed out, then added 2 pumps of the oil to my ends. Now usually that is where I stop because I HATE blow drying my hair. But today was different and I needed the results ASAP. So I grabbed my blow out brush and started at work. The results? My hair was so healthy and shiny! It smelled so good, felt amazing, and it actually had some volume! This stuff (when used sparingly) didn't make me feel weighed down at all. And because my hair is so long, usually most products make my hair feels so heavy and feels like it left a gross film on my strands. Now I will say, don't use the Prep if you want to air dry your hair. I have done it a couple times now, and it leaves my hair kind of crunchy feeling towards the roots. I Love love love. I just used this last night and super pleased with the results. I have very fine hair and it does not weigh it down or feel greasy like others posted. It has a nice scent too. So many hair products have silicone which over time coats the hair but not allowing moisture in and can leave build up and dry hair from inside out. This hair product has none of the bad stuff and leaves my hair feeling nourished and protected. It looks frizzy and damaged but it's not really. Just a few light sprays of this over my dry hair before a flat iron and my hair is can be transformed to spun silk! It's amazing! I really like this heat protecting spray, it smells great and it looks like it works so far. I started using it 2 months ago, straight after a fresh cut. Normally after about two months, I see my hair getting damaged, especially the ends, but it's not the case this time. I spray it all over my hair before I blow dry (I have curly hair that I blow dry straight in the winter) and on my roots when I need to freshen up with a straightener. I have curly thick hair and bought the Royal Blowout Heat styling Spray and put that in my hair wet and left it to dry i also added my gold lust oil as well. This was perfect my hair felt soft and my curls had lots of bounce. The next day I decided to straighten my hair . I then sprayed my hair with this spray Invisible defense spray to protect it from the hot tools now my hair is dry to start. This product works great on my hair. I use heating tools a lot for styling so needed something to help with the damage caused by using heat. Never tried this brand before until given the opportunity by influenster. I received this product for free to try out. Before giving my opinion I like to really test a product out. I’ve been using this product a few weeks now and I really like it. I only have fine hair so finding a heat protection spray that isn’t too heavy for my hair has always been a bit of a challenge but this one is perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was if I accidentally used too much it did leave my hair feeling a little straw like but other than that I haven’t found anything to be wrong with it. I have been using the Tigi heat protection spray for a little over 2 weeks now. The spray has really helped my hair feel less brittle. Since using the spray I have noticed a huge difference in how my hair feels and looks after being straightened. My hair is left feeling softer to the touch and the spray also adds a nice shine to my hair. An added bonus for me is that I also love how the spray smells. I received this product and in return Moroccanoli protect and prevent spray asked for my honest review. I have to say I usually don't like a lot of docent products because it leaves my hair feeling oily, heavy and greasy. But Moroccanoil protect and prevent spray left my hair feeling light weight, shiny and smelling fresh! I just really couldn't get enough of this product so I basically used it throughout the day. This is a must have product. I even bought a smaller spray bottle and have it in my purse. Everytime I went to the bathroom just a few spritz's and I'm on my way. I have dark brown wavy hair past my shoulders and live in the midsouth where it is extremely humid. And extremely hot. My hair is dyed and I spend most days running between court, my office and the prison ( full Sun). So I worry about my color fading and most days I resemble ms. I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down – and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer – I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use – with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. There’s so many things to list out for this moroccanoil treatment serum that I love so very much! I love the smell! It’s very calming. I use it after my showers and lightly finger it throughout the mid and ends of my wet hair, then I take my wet-hair detangling brush and gently brush through my hair to detangle and distribute the product (serum). once my hair air drys (yes, I’m one of those people but my hair thanks me for it!) my hair looks like I’ve had a team of people working on it for hours. It’s incredibly soft, easy to manage, my natural waves are much more defined, my hair overall feels healthier and more resilient and finally, the scent lasts for several days and so do the results. Long term I feel as though this will be what my hair has been begging me for! I’ve let my beautiful momma borrow the bottle so that she can experience what I’ve been ranting and raving about for days now. Fun little tidbit: my moms hair is down past the back of her knees and she’s also around 5’5. I have NATURAL HAIR. I have 3C curls. I typically don’t straighten my hair, it’s usually in it’s natural form. I’ve tested out a couple of products over the years, but many have failed to work. A lot of products tend to weigh my hair down and make it oil rather quickly. I purchased this product off of a single review written by a person of color. I hadn’t seen any accept one. I sectioned my hair and applied the product in dime size amounts to sections of my hair, distributing it with a denman brush. I used my Dyson blow dryer to straighten in and then the magic actually happened when the flat iron came into play. I really saw how effective the product was. It was smooth, flowing, and extremely shiny. I only applied a dime size amount of Olaplex before straightening and the Kérastase did all the magic actually. Let me start with, if you use a blow dry brush, this product is AMAZING! Blow dry brushes speed up the drying process, but they are incredibly drying. I hadn't found a product until now that kept my hair from feeling dry after using the brush. Kerastase left my hair feeling soft and hydrated. It also doesn't leave an oily residue like some products. By the time I am done drying, my hair has volume and shine. It's fabulous. When I straighten or curl, it's even shinier than after simply blow drying. I love it! My hair feels so protected! I will be using this forever to protect my hair. This product is AMAZING! From the moment i opened the box I was so excited. I love that it comes sealed and nicely packaged in a box. I was so excited to give the Kerastase Heat Protecting Leave-in Treatment a try that I went straight to shampoo my hair. After towel-drying, I applied to my damp hair. It smells so good, like a light parfume scent. The cream-like texture was so nice that after I put it in my hair that I left it on my hands. I LOVE a good heat protectant cream, but some can add weight and heaviness. This Kerastase leave-in does not! It is light weight and left my hair feeling like silk! The shine it gave was wonderful! It's been noted here and in many reviews on Sephora, but the bottle this product is dispensed in is horribly flawed. I have more than half of my product left and the nozzle to spray it has stopped working so I can't get the product out which is unfortunate because the product itself is great! I had seen previous comments stating such and thought maybe those were just specific bottles or user error and not was I wrong. I've never dropped the bottle, I'm very careful with it, I keep the spray nozzle clean etc. But all of a sudden the pressure just stopped and I can no longer get any product. Unfortunate because now I have over half the product left and no way of getting it out which is just a waste of money. It's too bad because the product itself is great and if the bottle were redesigned it would be a great deal but as is, it's a waste of money and not worth the purchase. Y'all, I can't even begin to explain the magic that is within the Amika hair products. My hair went from blah, dry, frizzy, bronze blonde strikes and no volume toooooo a whole knew transformation. Since using Amika products My hair has been, bouncy with shine. My blonde has been so bright and beautiful, like it was the day I walked out of the hair salon when getting the color added. The volume product is out of this world amazing. It does not leave residue nor gives my hair a grissy shine like most products that I have used. A few sprays and bam, I go from flat as a board to volume out of this world. The hairspray works wonders but I must admit the smell is AWEFUL. Which is odd because all other products of Amika have great fragrances. The frizz control product is amazing as well. It tames this mess job of a hair do within seconds. I've been using The Shield spray for awhile now and love it. It really helps with keeping my frizzy hair smoother and is really light, so doesn't make my hair feel heavy or sticky. I would normally give it five stars but this last bottle I received has a different spray nozzle on it and it doesn't spray like it used to. The product leaks out the spray nozzle when I shake it and the spray also comes out way thicker than before. Not impressed! My hair has never felt healthier in all my years of using protectants. Joico is a fantastic brand, and IronClad was phenomenal. Their new Hero with added shine is still difficult for me to adjust. I have long thick wavy hair that gets dry easy. I wash with all soft redken brand shampoo/conditioner. While wet, I add "United" Redken all over and I normally let it air dry (blow drying works fine too) I use hot tools at its highest setting (450) to straighten my hair. I would take sections, spray iron clad directly on my hair and style, and immediately after, my hair felt soft, light and never did more with it. Just perfect. Hero adds a gloss that makes your hair feel heavier in the beginning. I've adjusted by using less, spraying further away, but the results are the same. It's like my hair has to dry all over again. I still recommend this product since they no longer make my beloved IronClad. But just be warned, if you don't have dry hair, this will make your hair appear oily. Just remember, it locks in moisture (as it should) so for those of us with very dry hair, it still is a great purchase to makeEmpress86

PROS – I an very sensitive to smells and the fragrance wasn't overpowering. CONS – The product becomes sticky once it's on the hair for five minutes. I didn't like how my daughter's hair turned out using this product. I usually add jojoba oil to wet hair (natural) then blow dry then flat iron. I replaced the jojoba oil with this heat protectant. This smells amazing! It’s like vanilla-y and warm scent like post-salon kinda smell. This makes me fall in love with blow drying my hair more often. It leaves my hair very soft and shiny for days. It’s super lightweight so my blow dried hair is very ‘bouncy’. My T3 airbrush glides on smoothly without breaking my hair. I highly recommend this if you want to save your trip and time at salon for fresh blowout. You can literally do this at home for nice hair everyday. I was so excited to try this especially as a heat protectant for dry hair! So many of the heat protectants are liquids and best for the day you wash your hair. Since I don’t wash my hair every day I really wanted a dry spray that would help protect it. It does everything that it says but I definitely feel that it weighs down my hair and I need to wash it a day or two earlier than my regular routine. That just adds time to my week that I don’t have! If I know that I’m going to wash my hair soon after I use this and the results are wonderful. There’s really no IGK product that I don’t like! I decided to try the entire IGK Good Behavior line–the Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray, the 4-in-1 Prep Spray, and the Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Balm. The entire line smells great. All three promise frizz-free smoothness, high shine, and heat protection. I also appreciate that these products are color safe and meant to prevent fading. Although the products make the same claims, each has a different delivery system. Further, while all include spirulina protein, their headline ingredients differ but overlap. The smoothing spray is an aerosol, which comes out in a fine, easy-to-manage mist. It contains IGK's "innovative bonding polymers," which are meant to mimic a keratin treatment once you add heat. I did notice a lot of shine and less frizz (although my hair is not terribly frizzy). The 4-in-1 prep spray is similar to a spray on, leave-in conditioner–the spray is less fine than the aerosol and comes out in bigger drops. This feels the least precise of the three, as you have less control over where it "lands." That said, you can work it through to get more or less the same coverage. This is the only of the the products that does not include IGK's "innovative bonding polymers," although it does include coconut oil for detangling and extra shine. Finally, the balm is a balm that you squeeze onto you hand and then work through your hair. It also contains IGK's "innovative bonding polymers," as well as shea butter. Of the three, I liked the balm best–it contained the polymers and a moisturizing oil, and I could get the product exactly where I wanted. It was also the only product promising 72- vs. 24-hour frizz control. My second favorite is the smoothing spray, which offered a lot of shine and minimized frizz, but was the least moisturizing. Still in search of a heat protectant, sadly this one isn’t for me—far too greasy. You’re supposed to avoid the roots but that’s pretty hard if you have a pixie cut. Even a light application weighs my hair down and looks too greasy. I think if the nozzle allowed a more fine mist then it would work far better…but despite household cleaners having this ‘technology’ that lets you spritz or stream, beauty products never make a mister that will accommodate various strengths. So I end up having to place this so far from my head, to avoid the dang roots, that I feel I’m spraying the mirror and my face as much as my hair. If you have shoulder length or longer hair, this isn’t an awful product…but regardless of length, if you have oil prone or super thin hair I’d avoid! Meanwhile I’m just turning the heat lower on my flat iron as that seems to work just as well.
My hair has never looked so good! I love it. I use it before I curl or straighten my hair and I only use it on the last 4-5 inches of my hair. The first time I tried it, I thought it was going to be really oily but it dries as you go and leaves the hair soft and smooth, and a nice finished look. I do like this, works good when you do not over spray. Can be very greasy on finer hair types so use sparingly. A little goes a long way with this product. I even use this when I air dry hair-keeps the frizz at bay. But again I do not overdue it, tends to grease up your hair easily if I pump to many sprays or too close to my head.Lovetoshop

The shipping took forever. Literally, a month. I’m not sure if I chose the right things for my hair or if I just honestly don’t like them. The tops of the shampoo and conditioner bottles are poorly designed and hard to squeeze. In two attempts to wash my hair I had to squeeze so hard that when it did come out half the bottle sprayed onto my wall and was wasted. I didn’t expect it to help with flakiness much but it didn’t work for making my scalp less itchy either. I can’t speak to the effectiveness of the Thermal Magique because I’ve been too discouraged by how it and the Sorbet feel in my hair to style it. I have thin hair that gets weighed down easily. Heat protectants that I've used in the past don't always mix well with other styling products, and I've tried so many combinations over so many years, leaving me feel hopeless! My hair would fall flat within 2 hours of styling it or frizz at the slightest bit of moisture in the air. It ended up heavy and greasy looking without the body, thickness and shine that I crave. I was so excited to get this to use with my LeDuo360 and LeVolume, but first spray and…I smell ALCOHOL?1? Yes, the first ingredient is Alcohol. WHY? Yes, it says karatin infused (9th ingredient) and other goodies, but alcohol? Two types of alcohol in this! So my already dry hair will not be getting a dosing of a more drying ingredient. I am very confused by the rave reviews when this clearly SMELLS like alcohol and also evaporates like alcohol, so HOW is it helping the hair?? Spray it on your hand…it's GONE within a few seconds- if you're putting it on your hair, it's gone before you get the flat iron/dryer/styler or anything else to work with. Placebo effect for the dazzling reviews?? I'm just stumped. I'm not a l'ange hater either- i LOVE my LeVolume and LeDuo 360 as well as the Satin Nectar (even though it has salicylic acid in it which IS drying). I'm just thoroughly disappointed in this one. Darn.
I’m giving 5 stars bc I love your products! I ordered a few things during your annual sale. All items showed in stock. Only, after the order, did I get told one thing was on back order and the whole order wouldn’t be shipped bc of one item. I’m even paying for shipping so it wasn’t even free shipping. This was over a week ago. I’m only frustrated bc I needed more supply for an updated cut I got yesterday. So, I had to scramble around to find similar Paul Mitchell products. I just wish your site would just say “out of stock” if y’all didn’t really have it in. The rep stated I could cancel my whole order and reorder without the one item; however, the sale was over so either I could just pay full price and still have to wait or just wait it out since now MORE of the products are out of stock. This is my staple heat protectant spray. Love the bottle, easy to spray and it sprays in a fine mist, not making my hair overly wet with product. This product also helps with frizz and smoothens my hair , also reduces knots in my hair. I have found that this spray is effective as it has not been damaging my hair. I've been using this heat protectant for as long as it's been out now, and it's amazing! My hair has been at various lengths over the years, from all the way down to my bottom, to almost to my collar, and now I'm older so it's shoulder length. It has always worked great and I'm assuming always will! I have always had very thin oily hair, so its hard to find products that dont make it worse or weigh it down. I dont understand why people give bad reviews for a broken bottle or spilled bottle etc… it's ridiculous to give something a bad review, when it brings the points down and they haven't even used the product. Walmart is always wonderful about returning/exchanging anything that you get, even if you don't have the receipt! So people don't pay attention to the bad reviews on this!MamaD79

My hair is pretty relaxed for having natural curly mixed hair. But I am in my 40s , so unfortunately, (unlike the rest of my body) it's thinning. U don't need a whole lot, with this stuff, a little bit goes a looong way! Focus on the ends , sometimes it gets greasy! But I love how this product helps with frizziness, protects from heat & brings shine to the hair!
I don't know when or where i purchased this from. However, a few weeks ago I was going through my products and found this. I sprayed it on my hair right before drying it. I was completely amazed and so happy I found it because it made my hair so soft, light, sleek, smooth and it smells good! It didnt leave a heavy oily texture like other products do. I thought to myself, "this has gotta be a professional product from a salon." I just looked it up online because I've already used it all on myself and my daughter. A little goes a long way. I promise this product will surprise you. I can't stop touching my hair! It's so silky!!
I am absolutely obsessed with the smell of this. I have very fine hair and find it easier for me to spray some into my hands and rake it through my hair that way to get it evenly distributed without using too much, otherwise it can get greasy on me using it directly from the sprayer. Very fine mist though and considering how little you need to coat your hair, it's a really good value. I can see this bottle lasting me the rest of the year if not longer.

i love this product and it does everything it says it should — my hair is finicky, so that's high praise. but the glass bottle? garbage. knocked it over one time and it shattered, and i do mean SHATTERED, into many tiny pieces. i keep finding them the hard way because they were too small to see to sweep up. t couldn't salvage the serum because of all the little shards! nearly $30 in the trash, itty bitty shards stabbing my feet, and oil/serum that took hours to completely remove from my floor. i understand sustainability, but surely there's a medium to be met here?
The product was okay; I used it for about 4 days. Then on day 5, the slightly oily bottle slipped from my hand to the tile floor and shattered – I mean SHATTERED- into a million pieces. Still picking up tiny pink shards of glass and also pulling them from my feet. Have used lots of oil type hair products in past and never had breakage like this. I would avoid based purely on packaging!
I wasn't blessed with thick hair. Mine is fine, medium length and color-treated (honey beige blonde) with a mind of its own. Until a month ago, my hair routine was shampoo/condition, work oil treatment through hair, use foam volumizer, and blow-dry. BLOCKADE Test Run: I shampooed and conditioned; stepped out of the shower. I worked three pumps of BLOCKADE through my hair.. I could see a difference, my hair was loving it and I wasn't half finished. I used my other oil treatment, foam volumizing then started blow-drying. It was then that I saw a huge difference. My hair felt/looked fuller and shinier. I had used other products that supposedly protect the hair from heat and damage but none of them did what BLOCKADE does. My family and friends noticed the difference which is huge. BLOCKADE lives up to its name and delivers. My style lasts til the next shampooing.
