Bought to replace a 10 year-old corded trimmer (Wahl Super Taper – still going strong), this does the job but feels cheap and poorly finished in comparison. The motor is powerful and the blades cut well but had sharp points which drew blood when used unguarded – unlike the more rounded points of the Super Taper – a gentle filing smoothed them down, but shouldn't have been necessary. The cleverly colored blade guards were hard plastic and also had sharp ends that caught the skin – gentle filing fixed that too, but shouldn't have been necessary. The blade adjustment lever catches on the edge of the thin plastic body where the two halves join. The plastic body itself feels flimsy. The rubberised on/off switch doesn't properly engage unless pressed right in, so the motor will stop when you press it but start again when you release it if you didn't depress it far enough. So, I'm not really sure if I just got lucky, or if the instructions combined with the color coded guards made it happen- but wow. I surprised myself. My boyfriend needed a simple haircut, with a fade on the sides and this did the trick! I especially liked the ear guards, which made trimming around the delicate areas alot easier. I literally spent as much as he would on getting his hair cut, and bought trimmers that I can use to cut his hair instead! I love that it comes in a case to keep it all organized and together. Easy to use. Easy to pack up. Easy to maintain. Good results. After two to three uses, I became very comfortable with the device and can confidently provide at home haircuts similar to what my partner got at the salon (and better than what he got at a barber). Note: I only use the clipper around the lower portion of the head and I cut the top portions using the scissor/comb method. The clipper doesn't do fine detail or give a close shave (to really clean up the nape or side burns). Despite that, the clipper is an important part of my COVID haircut toolkit and has already paid for itself in terms of what my partner would pay for a haircut. The safety of knowing he can stay well-groomed without risk also makes the price of the clipper an exceptional deal. He has thick curly hair that grows quickly (up and out). Along with the clipper, I've bought thinning shears, cutting shears, and cutting combs. I relied on Africa Martinez's demo on Youtube to learn how to use all the tools. She gives a detailed demonstration to cosmetology students in the video.Sara

i ordered this item because it had a picture of big and small clippers. in the box there was only the big clippers. if i knew it was only going to be the big ones i would have bought a cheaper pair. i used the clippers. they are relatively quiet and worked perfect. just sissapointed on not getting the smaller pair of clipper/trimmers.nyla

Took me a few minutes because this is bigger and a little heavier than my last WAHL trimmer, but it does a great job! Love the additional neck trimmer. My husband does too. Shaves the neck so smooth without "pinching" the skin. Has so many attachments that we won't use, but sure could have used the eyebrow trimmer attachment.That would have been great! i Purchase 2 of these items and receive this item Friday 2, October 2020 Now i have to return them because they don't work as advertised As a long time user of Wahl Clipper, I was able to use their clipper to trim my beard, mustache, and sideburns, this is my 8th clipper for the last 20 years, so to the point these clippers are terrible, they can't even trim my forearm hair or toilet tissue with and without the trimming attach, they have some power issue when you attach the hair adapter, it would stop the blade from moving; if the blades stop they can burn the hair clipper. it looks like they're getting worst and the gimmick doesn't work, sometimes simple is best. by the way, the trimmer feature stops working as soon as I try to trim forearm hair. I forgot to review the negative review before purchasing it. Anyway am return these items am quite disappointed and I was going to give Wahl the benefit of doubt, but i see they don't need itelio

T3 is a brand I love already. I’ve purchased three blow dryers over the years because I love them that much. I don’t straighten my hair that often for no particular reason but I decided to try the Lucea 1'' Professional Straightening Styling Flat Iron. To be honest, I didn’t like it at first only because I was trying to use it as a curling iron to create waves which was an epic fail. I’m not sure if it’s just above my pay grade or I don’t have the dexterity but it didn’t work nonetheless 😂. I even watched videos on YouTube and it looked so easy 😠. I do like it however as a flat iron. This really has no bells or whistles. It’s a simple, straightforward flat iron. It has nine heat settings and it comes with a chart so you know the perfect temperature for your particular hair type. My hair glides through effortlessly without any snagging or pulling and my hair comes out shiny, smooth but still has body. I don’t like when flat irons make the hair pin straight. It lacks body, depth and fullness and I don’t think it’s a flattering look. This one luckily doesn’t do that. It tames flyaways, frizz and makes the hair look healthier. This uses ceramic, rounded, even-heat plates so it’s less abrasive on the hair and actually promotes hair health. This has an automatic shut off after an hour too. I have a new original CHI analog flat iron, but kind of missed having the option of adjusting the heat level (I got the one that is set at 392) when styling my hair so decided to splurge on a T3 as a back up. I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I do, but I am really glad I invested in this because it is probably one of the best flat irons I've used in years. It has its particular cons – I would like a lock on the plates to keep them closed when not in use, and I think it does slightly dry out the hair a wee bit more than others, but, it does style better, so! The way the plates are shaped, you can do perfect waves and red carpet curls without needing to manipulate your hair a lot. I was testing this the day I got it, and was able to get beautiful, shiny, bouncy curls by simply rolling the flat iron and twisting right after while the hair was still hot. Oh, and it gets HOT! Like, super HOT! I turned it down a little because even at level 4, I felt a good amount of heat coming off the plates. Surprisingly, you can hold the iron without gloves or a cloth and not burn yourself. It is slightly more drying than my CHI as I previously mentioned, but I think it's a lot more versatile and more adept at creating a wider range of styles, so that is a big plus for me. And the digital interface is pretty easy to understand once you look at it – it's like a ruler almost.cat toes

The T3 Smooth ID 1 is a phenomenal product, however the QR code that is supposed to take you through a step by step set up guided my girlfriend to an error page. I think if you’re going to include an interact set up QR code, then it must be working, no exceptions. With that out of the way, set up was easy. You long press the power button to turn on the hair straightener (sounds like a lightsaber), double click the power button to unlock the menu, select your hair texture, length, and color treatment then double tap the power button to lock in the settings. My girlfriend was concerned with how hot the flat iron was but ultimately though it did a good job for the following reasons: -While initially she thought the flat iron was very hot she thought it was just right for her fine hair. -Straightening and curling her hair was able to be done in one pass which is difficult since most flat irons lose heat when reaching the last 1/3 of hair. -the refresh mode was good for touch ups on subsequent days and did not lead to any damaged hair. At the end of the day, my girlfriend loved the aesthetics of the flat iron, is able to curl or straighten her hair in a single pass and did not experience any frizz when doing so. The features of the T3 Smooth ID are a definite time saver since it is high quality and is capable of producing the desired results in a single pass. I have been wanting to get my hands on one of these since I first saw it release. Finally got one and I love it. This tech savvy smart straightener has a hair ID on it that you select your hair type, length, etc. and it reads your hair and adjust to what is perfect for your hair type which truly is amazing. When this says singlepass I mean it literally one pass with it straightened my hair like super straight. Now I have long, thick straight/minimal wave hair for reference so it was easy to straighten my hair with this. I have seen reviews and all are amazing with straightening as far as I read so far. For me this worked beautifully and my hair looked amazing all day as well. This is lightweight feeling, sleek, futuristic look which is nice and I’m a sucker for a well made product for sure. I give 2 stars because the package arrived day late but during this pandemic I I understand. The product packaged well inside another box however the actual box of the clipper and trimmer was another story. It was opened, seal was opened like someone cut into it. The bag to hold the items was ok, the parts are loosely placed not secure in place. I opened the clipper and trimmer to my surprise found hair inside. Product was used so I returned to Walmart. Walmart customer service understands and refund my money. Time to look for another one. Look out for whom sold the product bc it was not shipped from Walmart.Maily

Great set of guard sizes for both the clippers and trimmer. Makes cutting my own hair and my son's easy and quick. As much as I like the cordless trimmer, running on AA batteries feels under powered compared to my old wired Wahl bullet but it is still fine for home use. This is a really nice set of clippers. I like that the battery powered set uses 2 AA batteries to give it more power. They sound and feel like the clippers used at the barber shop. My wife cut my hair for the first time and did a pretty good job. She watched several YouTube videos and then had at it. The clippers will pay for themselves after just 4 haircuts. I love the high quality and elevated look of T3 styling products. I couldn’t wait to try this new 1.5 inch straightener because I’ve never used any straightener that is larger than the standard 1 inch. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. I started out with freshly washed hair and applied heat protectant before blow drying it. Then, I sectioned my hair and ran a comb through before straightening each piece on heat setting 4. There was a noticeable difference in how fast I was able to straighten my hair. I was able to use larger sections of hair because the straightening plates are both wider and longer on the T3 Lucea compared to standard straighteners. This significantly decreased the time it took to style my full head of hair. After straightening my hair, it was very smooth and sleek. Typically, after I straightening my hair, it begins to frizz up a couple hours later, however the ceragloss plates locked in smoothness for a frizz-free finish. I was able to rock my straight sleek style for DAYS because of this. The before and after photo speaks for itself. This straightener successfully smoothed my frizz and lengthened my hair. I love this T3 Lucea 1 1/2” flat iron! It has quickly become my favorite! I was first surprised how pretty it is! I love the white. Very chic! It gets hot very fast and has a neat way of changing the heat. You just push the button twice and it lets you adjust accordingly. What’s great about this feature is you won’t accidentally change your heat setting my accidentally tapping the button with your pinky because you just tap twice in a row! I love that it’s slightly rounded so I can get an awesome soft curl. I only have to do one pass when straightening and I love that too! I’ve always been intrigued to try a 1.5 inch straightener. Typically, I have always used the standard 1 inch straightening iron. My hair is long, bleached, damaged, fine, very frizzy, and wavy. When I straighten my hair, my hair typically becomes frizzy shortly after styling. I washed and dried my hair as usual. Before straightening my hair, I applied the same heat protectant that I regularly use. I used the heat setting 4 because the instruction guide states that heat settings 1-4 work best for fine hair. After sectioning my hair, I ran a comb through the section before running the straightener through. I am able to take larger sections than I usually do because the straightening plates are both longer and wider than a standard 1 inch straightener. This has significantly sped up the time it takes to style my hair. After straightening my hair, it looked extremely sleek and shiny. The ceragloss plates helped my hair to remain sleek and straight for DAYS after styling. Even though this was gifted by T3 Micro, the before and after photo speaks for itself and this is definitely my new favorite straightening iron!laurnhub

If you have hard to curl hair – get this tool! I have very fine/silky hair. It never wants to hold a curl, especially in the summer when it's consistently 80-90% humidity. The only way it would hold it the best was with a flat iron, and even on extra humid days or rainy days, it would be almost completely straight after a day. At first I thought this thing was a gimmick, but what intrigued me about the Le Duo is the fact that it blows air while you're curling, so essentially setting the curl immediately, and I decided to give it a try. When I tell you my hair has never held a curl like this… it has NEVER held a curl like this!! I even had to tame them because the curls were so curly! After the initial settling of the curls, I went outside, where the humidity was intense that day, and all my curls stayed! I've used it a few times now with different hair dirtiness and styling products, and every time the curls stay better than any other tool I've used. I highly doubt I'll ever go back to a regular flat iron (or a curling iron/wand which literally does nothing for my hair), this is it for me! Last weekend I asked my sister in law if I could use one of her hair curlers. She gave me options of multiple wands & this bad boy. Since I had never seen anything like this before (the shape of the product), I wanted to try it out. I used it to curl my hair and fell in LOVE that I had to go buy myself the same one that same day. It's so easy to use & gave me really casual curls. My hair is a bit on the longer side, so I was scared that it wasn't going to curl but it did! However, using it as a straightener is ok, but not my fav. It took a couple mins longer to use this compared to my Paul Mitchel 1.25" flat iron. It still performed really well & better than a "cheap" or less expensive alternative. Definitely keeping this for the curling action! The fan definitely keeps my curls in place as well!Ivy

Short report: Its simple but gets hot quick and stays hot, the features work well, great for short hair but you need the longer one for long hair, expect a tiny learning curve but it is worth it. Full report: My stylist recommended this brand to me and I am a fan. This tool was exactly what I needed- it heats up fast and stays hot, the outside stays cool thanks to the fan (low risk of burning myself major ++), the cord is long and thick, the tool itself weighs next to nothing, and it is under $100. I have short hair for the first time in forever so my ancient tools needed an update and this thing was perfect- it replaced a straightener and my wide curling iron and let me splurge on a hair dryer (which is what matters most imho). THE GOOD: It is basically a solid hair straightener with a cool blast feature. This feature 'sets' the curl or wave immediately, letting you pin it or leave it hanging without burning yourself or getting your neck all sweaty. You can curl tighter or looser depending on your movement, bump or flip ends, and quickly tame cowlicks and bangs. Thats it. Its simple but works! …if you know what you are doing. If you are used to curling with a straight iron then this will feel amazing but if not then there is like a 20 min learning curve but it is worth it! (and honestly applies to all straighteners so learn once and do forever) -It is a perfectly neutral pink, not a huge eye sore -it is sooooo light, I never thought I would care but I realized I could do my whole hair without needing to give my wrists a break -It heats up quickly and automatically shuts off after a certain time THE BAD: HOWEVER. If you have LONG HAIR aka PAST YOUR SHOULDERS (and, like me, have a lot of it) then do NOT get this tool. this guy would've been useless to me a month ago when my hair was past my chest. Maybe if your hair is fine or you don't have much then ok BUT FEAR NOT- They sell a longer version on their website, I will upgrade to that one when I get there and this one will transition to live on as my travel tool. Love this lil guy. -The iron doesnt open very wide, which I admit my older tool probably had a hinge issue, but I wish this opened wider to feed hair easier (also why this isnt a good match for long thicker hair) THE THINGS OF NOTE, but ok it at this price point: The two buttons are sensitive and their size and position is right where I tend to place my hand when rotating it. After several clips with this, I am pleased. Lithium battery holds a charge far longer than standard clipper. Head adjuster lever is VERY stiff. Let me start by saying I've been doing my hair for a very long time, I prefer a voluminous messy look or a classy tousled wavy one. My hair is on the thicker side, but the hair itself is pretty fine. It's down to the middle of my back with quite a few long and medium layers. Also there is a slight wave to it if I were to just let it airdry, and holds a curl somewhat decent, but not the best. It is healthy with quite a bit of shine, I definitely prioritize taking care of my hair, for sure. I try to use really good products on my hair, and that includes tools, so I usually have to save up for them, they tend to be pricey! Lol. I have 2 straighteners from 2 very well known brands that both tug, catch, and pull breaking my hair… So, needless to say they are collecting expensive dust in my room. When I got the opportunity to try this tool from GHD I was beyond excited, for once I didn't have to go without to get a quality tool. I received it on Jan 24th and have used it almost every day since. I'm actually having FUN doing my hair again. Zero tugging, pulling, or snapping my hair, glided through like butter, I even checked double checked to make sure it was on, because I felt nothing!!! Beachy waves was my first attempt.. couldn't have done better, they were perfect. Also played around with curling patterns, straightening and the only disappointment I have is the fact I didn't get this a long time ago and wasted my precious money on 2 dust collected. I tested the ghd original styler on my 2A/2B hair, slightly damp and with a heat-protectant cream. The box is sturdy and feels nice, definitely great for gift-giving and can be used to store the styler. You plug the styler then hold the power button for a second, which lights up and makes a little sound. After only about 4 seconds, a little tune notifies that the styler is hot, which really helps with avoiding accidental burns. And it actually heats up that fast!! There is an initial burnt metal smell, but it dissipated quickly and I haven’t smelled it since. This styler is HOT. It felt like I was sitting next to a heater. But for me, the intense heat did make styling more efficient! I definitely recommend using a heat protectant and keeping an eye on how your hair reacts to this styler!! My personal method of straightening hair with this styler is to do a smooth downward swipe (not hold) on a section of hair, let the hair cool just until it is just warm and not scorching (you can tell), then repeat as necessary until the settled hair is styled as desired. I found that holding the styler in one place will end up creating an indent, but it was surprisingly easy to smooth it over with another quick swipe. Holding the styler is great for some styles, like waves, and the indenting is just something to keep in mind when straightening hair. I was surprised at how smooth, no-frizz, and soft my hair actually was afterwards. The strands weren’t crunchy at all, and they even flowed weightlessly like in a commercial! This ghd original styler worked great for me. The design is easy to wield without accidentally touching skin or straining your hands, and it doesn’t produce a cheap chemical/burnt smell. Overall, I very much like it! If you have been looking for a styler and are willing to splurge on a product that actually works, this is a product that follows through on hype. I have very long, highlighted, thick, combination hair. My top layer being relatively straight, and bottom layers being wavy and curly with sections that are kinky. Now that that’s out of the way… I used the Original 1” Styler 3 different ways, because some days I’m lazy, and some days I actually have the time to put “pro-effort” into my hairstyle, either by straightening or curling it. For my thick hair the Classic Styler straightens better than it curls. If I want the curls to last all day and not fall out I have to start curling my hair from its natural state. With that being said, in order for me to get smooth curls that don’t have any creases or kink in the individual hair strands, I have to pass over my hair at least once before I go in for the actual curling motion… which means when I actually go over it that second time the curl it isn’t as curly, and even has some areas that want to fall immediately. This is not due to the temperature of the straightener though, because it does get perfectly hot. I’m leaning more towards it being the single zone technology paired with my hair being very thick. If you have thin to average hair you’ll have an amazing result curling. When it came to taking the time to pro-straighten my hair by taking 1 inch sections, I really like how the plates glide over the sections of hair easily. It’s also not heavy, and I don’t have to squeeze hard to get good pressure on the hair; which means my hands and arms didn’t get tired. After my hair cooled it was 100% straight, with a lovely, soft and frizz free feel. This lasted all day long too. Last thing I did was “lazy” straightened it by not sectioning or isolating any of it at all… So starting with air dried hair in its natural form, I ran the straightener through my hair randomly. This is where the Classic Styler really shines! It DOES NOT pull on hair or snag at all. Not even a little! I was super impressed by this. The results of this lazy method were fantastic for putting minimal effort in! I cannot stress this enough. I really think that the Classic 1” Styler is a great 1st time straightener if you aren’t ready for a slightly larger investment with one of their higher end straighteners with more features, and you’ll love the way this straightener performs! Even though I mentioned above that I didn’t get a great result curling due to my hair type, I’m still giving it a 5 star rating – My reasoning for this is, for its intended function as their “Classic” option it does the job very well!BriBrittBrittany

Love this iron. It heats up in seconds. It comes with the silicone/rubber cover so when your finished you pop that on and you can put it away without having to wait for it to cool. But, even when it was working, it never fully straightened my hair, left it frizzy and full of static and just feels cheaply built. It is light and flimsy and performs in a similar manner. When it broke, I pulled out my older original model (which I kept as a back-up) and it actually worked better than this model ever had… so I just purchased the original model with gold plates — that model is just awesome. Love love love this straightener, as for being a girl who was thick curly hair. This always leaves my hair feeling shiny and pin straight every time I use. Some people may not like having no heat setting, but for me personally I do like the feature. My hair never feels damaged after using this, I also find that it does not snag my hair either, so maybe other people who experience that issue with this straighter just have a different hair texture? Also with this straighter I find that I can just do one pass and it will make my hair pin straight. I am only giving this product four stars though because prior to buying this model, I did have the platinum styler by GHD and it broke very shortly. So I'm hoping with this model it will hold up for years and not a couple months.shybearxoxo

This isn't my first Wahl purchase so I can say with confidence this is NOT one of their better trimers. I bought it because I was looking for a cordless option. It felt bulky and slippery in my hands. I cut my husband and sons hair. I'm not petit so if I say Its bulky its not cuz I have small hands. The whole thing is also smooth so its not ergonomic to hold and once you turn it on and it starts buzzing it gets even worse to hold on too. It was very uncomfortable even for a 10 min haircut. I got this to replace my old trimmer. I have been cutting my own hair for over ten years and the old trimmer was having problems. This one is much more powerful and does the cut in a fraction of the time and with no "pull". Being cordless makes it much easier to use as well. I am very pleased with this product. This is a great set for the home barber, I even had my professional barber friend try them out. They have a nice durable feel and weight to them. For someone who likes the lightweight stuff this might be to heavy. The steel is sharp and cuts nicely had them zero gapped and they have a crisp cut. The click level is nice too, let's you know you know the exact level your cutting at. The gaurds are firm but they are all plastic the metal shown is just a sticker. It does come with levels 1-8. The shears are basic but sharp out the box. I would recommend this set for the home barber without a doubt even my professional barber friend was very impressed with this set.Joe2

The ConairMan Barbershop Series Professional Clippers performed extremely well in extremely thick, dense hair. Minimal to no snagging. The only snags were really due to squirming when I was trimming my son's hair. The vibration level is consistent with several other brands/models of trimmers/clippers I have used in the past several years. Ease of use was fairly standard. The blade measurement guards are fairly standard as well. The size of the clippers is, again, you guessed it, pretty standard. Overall I was very pleased with the performance of the clippers. Before I was able to go get a haircut every other week if not weekly, now I try to hold off as much as I can or else it'll just burn a whole through my pocket. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, it's more convenient to just cut your own hair at home. The ConairMan Barbershop Series Professional Clipper is as good as it gets. Even before trying the clipper you can feel the sturdiness and quality in your hand. It's not those light flimsy cordless clippers; it's a classic barber's clipper that has some weight to it, but still feels comfortable enough in your hands. I didn't experience any tugging with the blades and it went through my hair with ease. I was able to get the fade I wanted using no guard and the 3mm which is basically what I ask for when I go to the barber shop so, really happy I can just do this at home. Clipper comes with 8 guards but most likely if ever I'll just be using 3 or 4 guards depends on my hair length, but good to have more if needing to cut a friend's hair or some member of the family that has long hair. I would have preferred if the guards had it's own little pouch or case for easier organization as well as the scissors and comb. There's no dividers in the case, so things get scattered around. I think dividers would have been great just to keep things more organized or even have a zip lock on the plastic bags instead of having the items loose in the case. The apron is not the best thing in the world but for a quick hair cut session it works fine. Overall, Very good sturdy clipper that is built to last and that get's the job done with ease.Swefin

I love this so much I am a novice when it comes to doing my hair but this makes it easy. I wanted to do all those cute beachy waves so many are doing with their shoulder length bob. My old flat iron made it impossible from burning my hands to not having the oval shape barrel it just looked terrible. I was so nervous spending the money but took the risk and glad I did! I love it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I am constantly changing the temp for how I need to grip it to curl my hair I wish there was a way to lock it in place once you have the temp you choose. I have medium thick wavy hair. Leaves my hair salon straight. Only downside is it always smells burnt and funky after using this straightener. My sister has extremely thick and frizzy hair and it leaves hers really straight as well. I’ve been looking for the perfect flat iron. I had a Corliss which I loved but dropped and it was over after 3 years. I’ve been searching since 2015 I believe. I bought another one and it wasn’t the same. Here now and I love this one so bomb. I don’t mind speeding money for what works for me. It came with a glove for heat. The only thing that I’m not so crazy about it to turn dial at the end on the iron. I’m left handed so I already struggle lol but when curling it adjusts it’s self and temperature goes down. I really like this curling iron! It is a nice heavy, sturdy feel when using it, and feels quality. One feature I like is heat adjustment. You twist the bottom to increase or decrease, and there is a lock button to prevent you from changing heat during use. However, the lock button seems to be in a place that my fingers find and I realized I was changing the temperature many times while curling. I will just have to be mindful of this in the future. The iron provides beautiful curls, smooths and adds shine. Highly recommend trying any of their barrel sizes. I got this over the weekend and I really love it. Is very impressive straight out of the box. Very sleek, modern design! All black and smooth looking. It has a cool tip with a built in safety stand with a great thumb grip to open. The on/off switch is a small button under the grip. The Hot Tools Professional Black Gold 1'' is very easy to use, and you can be beautiful in only 10 minutes. I have long hair and after I use it my curls lasted longer than with other curling irons that I have previously used. I did my hair and my daughters and despite the jumping, the sweating, and the air blowing, our curls were still great when we got back home. It is perfect for us. It warms up very quick and the curls only take a couple of minutes before they are done. As it is professional you can put it up to 455 degrees and it does not damage your hair. It is very easy to use, you only need to twist the back to reach the temperature that you want in the dial, and one minute later you can start. easy-to use clippers. A little heavy, but not terribly so. I cut my son's and husband's hair; first-timer luck. Great results!! The color-coding was helpful on the blade guides. The quality of the blade guides and comb were lower than expected; some of the tines got warped out of alignment during shipment. I had to use pliers to bend them back into alignment, and be very careful how to overlap the tines when I put them away for storage. The scissors seemed exceptionally lightweight, but I was amazed at how sharp they were and how well they cut hair. Overall, we're super pleased with our purchase. There were lots of hair-cutting video tutorials on the wahl website, but I actually found the general hair-cutting guidance provided in the package insert to be the most helpful.maybdr

Just what we needed during COVID-19. My wife used to do my hair when I was in the military, but when I retired, she retired from cutting my hair. But, now, with the Coronavirus, we are watching our exposure. So, when we needed new drivers license pictures, this came in really handy. I would have rated it 5 out of 5 stars, but that goes to the Kirby Vacuum cleaner air driven/vacuum hair cutter. You see, one of the things that my wife dislikes the most about cutting my hair is the fine bits of hair everywhere. A system that employs cut and vac in a light weight attachment to a small air tube seems to be the Gold Standard for us. This product is just shy of that by a whole star. That being said, good luck with manufacturers ever getting innovated in thinking outside the box enough to go with Kirby's concept. I'm definitely not a pro when it comes to using various tools to style my hair. One thing I really like about this curling iron is that it's forgiving for the inexperienced person like me. I prefer curling irons/wands like this that have a hair clip grip to help hold the ends of your hair in place while you wind hair. My hair is held tightly, but not so much that it is painfully pulled on when I try to unroll the hair from the want. Heats up well and maintains heat well. Doesn't fluctuate between every curl so you end up going over some pieces of hair multiple times. I like that temp control is easy to read and isn't position in such a way that you bump the knob every time you touch the curling wand.I've been using this for several months now, and it's still a top notch curling iron. No problems with heating up or staying at the temp you set it at. I wipe the barrel and clamp down after each use, so there's not been any trouble with buildup on the surface or with the paint/coating flaking off. Swivel base on the cord works great and hasn't come loose. Holds up to travel, too. Overall, I'm very happy with how well this curling iron has performed. It's gone through some rough packing for trips, a few unintentional drops, and some other bumps along the way, but it still works as well as it did the first day out of the box. easily the worst curling iron i’ve ever tried. I had an iron from an only slightly less reputable brand than this one and I honestly never wanted to buy another but alas it stopped working and I searched for a replacement. I heard a lot about this brand so I bought this one around a year ago. I immediately tried it without using any different styling products. For reference I have wavy hair about armpit length, medium thickness and have never had issues with my hair holding a curl, I only ever needed a small amount of hair spray (worked with a variety of irons) but the “curls” that are produced from this product last less than a minute. I have adjusted the heat and tried DOZENS of hairsprays or styling products to hold this curl and nothing works. It barely curls my hair and even the hottest setting doesn’t do anything. I gave up today on this iron I wish I never wasted my time on it. I get a better curl just scrunching like crazy with a dollar store mousse. It’s completely trash.Alp

I don't know what kind of fear leaves in the average American's woman head that tight curls are not in trend. Years and years of tv gossip has convinced women that overstructured hair is granny looking. Please stop, for the sake of your sanity and your pocket. If you seriously want curls have them, do not care what critics have to say. You are going to need the 0.75 inch version of this tool. Larger than that and you get beach waves or nothing at all. I have coarse 0.75 inch curs naturally. From time to time they get frizzy. So yes, I bought this curler to bring back to shine and less frizz my natural curls. I use the lowest heat possible and it only takes a few seconds. But my hair naturally keeps any kind of style, curly or straight without hold for 10 days. Everyone else is different. I also ordered the 1 inch version. Yes, with my kind of hair the larger the curls the shorter they remain on my head, they straighten up faster. So if you have pin straight hair naturally, I don't recommend a barrel larger than 0.75, it just doesn't work, my sister's hair is like this. So do yourselves a favor and stop listening to critics, tight curls are beautiful. Effortless beach waves are not a thing, people are just mean. Curl the heck out of your hair and if you hate the overengineered part of it, comb it! At least spend your buck wisely, buying the size that actually works.Maria
