Best Hard Floor Cleaner Machines (2024 Update)

I've tested a decent amount of vacuums over the last decade. This is the first one I've tested that was made for hard surfaces and I was excited to get it mostly for my wife who always uses whatever other vacuum on our hard floors almost interchangeably as our carpeted areas. While I normally would sweep hard floors and them vacuum up the pile or let our robot vacuum with mop attachment do all the work for me. Setup was a little overwhelming looking at first but not too bad. The whole thing comes in more pieces than I would normally expect to find but the instructions lay out what everything is pretty nicely and after the initial shock it wasn't too hard to figure it out. I put it all together and let it charge over night (it suggests at least 4-5 hours of charge time before the initial use). I'm pretty happy with the steps required to actually use this vacuum. It's mostly a supplement to our robot vacuum/mop. I'm happy with the robot but we usually go around the are and pick up/move everything off of the floor in the entire upstairs before we run it so it's a process. It does a good job but the setup and reconstruction of the area before running it makes us use it far less than I'd like. So having a vacuum that's made for sweeping and mopping that I can easily setup and break down is key. When you want to use this, just fill up the clean water tank with mostly water and a small cap-full of soap. Then you're ready to go. The first time I hit the power button, I was surprised as it kind of drives itself forward. Pretty nice to lighten the load but you're also fighting against that push when your pull the vacuum back again. Overall it was a nice little assist, I think. The vacuum and mop did a pretty nice job of cleaning the floor pretty quickly but it did require an empty and refill of the tanks before I was finished. That doesn't take too long so it was no big deal. After I was done doing the whole upstairs area, the battery still had about 60% left (I was worried because when I first started it up, it looked like the battery was draining very quickly). The nice thing about having a screen with all the information on it is that you can see at a glance how hard the vacuum is working and what battery level is remaining. After you're done the instructions recommend you clean the dirty and clean water tanks as well as the roller and roller protector after each use. This is the only annoying part since you can't really just grab the vacuum to do a quick job and put it back but the cleanup of these things doesn't take too long. The base station does include an auto-clean feature for the roller so you have that going for you and there were 2 additional rollers included with this vacuum so you can always just rotate them if you need to clean one. Apparently there's an app that goes with this vacuum. The instructions just said that you can "perform all functions from the app" but I don't really know what functions those are. I did not download the app and can't imagine what I would possibly need it for. The functions on the vacuum are very minimal and can be adjusted with just a few pushes of the 3 buttons on the vacuum. I just didn't want another app on my phone. The only weird thing I didn't love about this vacuum was how it sat on the charging station. It leans forward quite a bit for some reason. I would expect it to just sit straight up and down but when the head is locked and you place it on the charger the handle leans forward at what feels like a 30 degree angle. Far more than you'd expect. Enough that I thought I was doing something wrong. I couldn't figure out a better way to place it on the charger though so I'm going to assume it's just how it was designed. I got used to it quickly enough but it was a weird thing when I first saw it. Overall, I like the vacuum. It does a good job supplementing our robot vacuum by being easy to get up and running and being easy to break down and clean when we're done (while not needing to break down the entire upstairs before using it since we can move things while vacuuming). If you're looking for a nice hard surface vacuum/mop and this fits your budget, give it a look. I was impressed with it for the most part.swemoney

I never taught about using a vacmop before i was kind of skeptical and it would take me a while to clean my hardwood floors .. was kind of an event to say. Not anymore… thanks to this Tineco Floor One s5 Extreme i’m actually looking forward to do it now. I will attach some pictures to see what comes in the box and it’s pretty straight forward plug and play kind of situation as well with some before and after situation. Everything is very intuitive to use but you can check the book or type the name of it on youtube and they have an interactive video in how to use it for first time. It comes with 2 extra brushes and an extra filter that will come in handy when you’ll wash and let dry the ones that you’ll be using first(about 24hrs) they recommended doing that after each use and you’ll want to do that and don’t forget to empty the messy water each time so u prevent bad odors. The design and features are very modern … it has a voice and a screen that will assist you in your cleaning process. To be mentioned here is the feature that senses the proportion of a mess when on auto and turns gradually the blue light into a red one, sign that you should insist in that particular area till becomes completely blue and it’s scary accurate!!! The stand acts like a support and charger (which will take somewhere 3-4hrs for it to be fully juiced up). They also recommend using ONLY Tineco cleaning solution or just plain water. Make sure you youse warm-hot water with or without solution since will tackle the dirt better. I’m happy with the product and it really saves me a lot of time and does a great job!!!Denisik91

I totally underestimated this machine. When I turned it on, the brush kicked in and almost dragged me acoss the floor! Not really, but I was surprised by how powerful the brush was for such a compact package. This mop is no joke. I'm a busy and stressed-out professional, so lots of housekeeping chores don't get done on a regular basis. I've been meaning to clean the kitchen floor for quite a while — I had food and coffee spills, tracked mud, etc, on the floor in places, and serious grossness under the oven and fridge. I figured that I'd give this machine a workout. It really worked. It took several passes in some areas, but the machine just kept working at the mess until it was all clean. The dirty tank strains out the solid materials to make it easy to dump without clogging your sink. It also uses less water than I would expect, so I didn't have to dump the tank nearly as often as I thought I would have to. The clean tank and the dirty tank have good capacity. One super thoughtful little detail is that both tanks have flat bottoms, so they can be put upright on the counter, and you don't have to lean them against anything like you do with other wet vacuums. I really like how it is as maneuverable as a light vacuum, it does a great job on hard floors and we can also use it on floor mats that aren't too thick. That brush-forward design really gets right up to edges and corners. It is very user-friendly. The display is large, bright and useful, and the voice prompts are really helpful. Even self-cleaning is super easy. I'm just not sure what benefits you get from the app or its wifi connection.Snarltoof

I bought a Bissell crosswave cordless max last year for Christmas because this was sold out. Originally I wanted this I did a lot of research and thought the Tineco one was far more advanced considering they had come out at the same time. My Bissell broke and again it hasn't even been a year I did not buy the warranty for it because I thought it would at least last a year. But I decided I'd buy my original choice and I'm far from disappointed. The issues I had with the Bissell I don't with this. Bissell was bad at streaking and would leave a puddle of water behind the brush roller was so soft it wouldn't pick up dried messes larger food bits would be pushed in front of the Bissell instead of being picked up. The Tineco one is streak free has a studier brush roller that makes picks up dried messes easily it is an auto mode machine so it distributes water and detects water never leaves a puddle behind large food objects like dog kibble gets picked up easily. I have a fairly high number of animals and a senior dog who doesn't have 100% bladder control so these machines are used day in day out. I recommend this to anyone its perfect for everyday use light to heavy messes.Alysun Lusty

I chose this thanks to the Vacuum Wars youtube channel. We used to have a Bissell Crosswave but it didn't last long at all. It started to smell pretty quickly and got clogged a lot (dog hair gang!) I assumed it was our habits so we bought a second one and the same thing happened again, even with more vacuuming and better Crosswave cleaning habits. This time I decided the extra money would be worth it and so far it definitely has been! The only con so far: the clean water tank really should be larger. We have a medium house, nothing large or fancy, and we can't even get through a full room (kitchen especially) without refilling the tank.Cam

Overall: I really love it! Easy to use, quick and sufficient; Great for daily use & for family with pet. I do list detailed limitations below but it solves my biggest problem (a quick daily cleanning) so I am still happy. Pros: – Battery is sufficient for 800-900 sq.ft – Capture pet (cat) hair, dust, and small trash on floor; great for daily clean; – Its design makes it easy to move; – Less noisy compared to Roomba/regular vacuum (but still not quite; just relatively quieter) ; Limitations: – The clean water tank is kind of small; requires refill if you use max clean mode or have a slower cleanning process; For dirty water tank, it's enough for cleanning process but usually require to dump all dirty water before its self-clean (so it does not over the dirty water limit) – It has clean gap (about 3cm/1.2 in) on the edge that its brush cannot reach so cannot work for near kitchen cabinet cleanning; also its wide brush design makes it hard to go into corners near toilet; – Its brush is designed not to hurt flooring which means it also cannot do deep cleanning (e.g. clean out stains on tile grout) – Cleaning dirty water tank can be nasty if you have pet and long hair;Ali

I received a brand new Bissell Crosswave HF3 Cordless Multi-Surface hard floor cleaner complimentary from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. First off I would like to say how simple this was to assemble. Right out of the box, I just had to firmly snap in the top handle to the bottom of the device until I heard a click. This is something anyone can easily put together quickly. I made sure to read the instructions manual a couple of times. Being cordless, the only downfall I discovered was how long it took to fully charge this device. 4.5 hours to fully charge it, and I got around 30 minutes of use before I had to charge it again. I love how simple it is to switch from low to high mode and the LED lighted indicators. I have hard wood flooring, as well as tile flooring at my house. This is ideal for anyone who doesn't have carpet flooring. The charge dock is very interesting because the device fits perfectly onto the dock and you plug in the adapter go the docking station. Then plug it into any normal outlet. This doesn't take up a lot of space and it makes my floors spotless. It will let me know when the battery is low with a blue flash light. This came with a very handy brush and strainer which makes it much easier and quicker to clean it. Not to mention it has a self cleaning mode. You have to recline the device in order for it to start working. I then select if I want low or high water flow and it automatically dispenses the fluid + water mix. Then I push it forward and backwards to get the job done. Being that this is cordless, I can get into places I normally can't reach unlike other machines I've owned before. Also I don't have to worry about any cords getting tangled or not reaching. For a nice deep clean, I used the high mode which you will see the liquid on the floor. This is suppose to happen. You want to let it soak in for at least five minutes before going over it. For really stuck on stains, I had to repeat this process a few times. This machine is lightweight and easy to maneuver. I definitely would recommend buying this Crosswave by Bissell! I am still learning how to use the machine after having a little over a week and I did watch a few videos on how to remove the brush roll. I also like how you put the solution and water in the top part and the dirty water dispenses on the bottom. I've had zero issues with this leaking. Also if you tend to have a lot of hair on the floor, make sure to check the brush roll so you can cut off any hair that has tangled on the roll. I do wish it came with an extra brush roll but that is ok because I can find parts for this very easily. Do not make the mistake of over filling the top water tank. There are two lines, one for the water and one for the Bissell solution. I love that this comes with a 18 month warranty. Do not forget to fill out the warranty card and mail it out or you won't have any warranty. Bissell has their own support team that you can either email or call with questions or concerns. The price of this machine is a little pricey, but after trying I definitely understand why. It actually works! So far so good.Redhdedgrl

i was very skeptic when ordering this vacuum mop, compared to the crosswave. Well the Euerka is equally if not better then then the crosswave. The suction is remarkable, the cleaning is on point, the self clean mode is a bonus, the cord is long enought, the noise is reasonable , the dispense of water and cleaning solution is perfect and the cleaning of the two containers is easy. i really love this purhchase and for he price compared to others is a steal.sharzach-0

I bought this product in May 2021; its performance was as I had hoped until August 2021 when it starts making a loud high pitched sound when power it off. Immediately, I think it's a belt, so I go online and look up parts and support on Hoover.com. After searching exhaustively and not finding a way to troubleshoot this, I emailed Hoover support and they replied back with only one option, a replacement; who can argue with that? I did as asked and sent screenshots of the machine model # and manufacturer's code as well as a photo of the cord cut off from the broken machine. I was instructed to wait for the replacement to arrive and discard of the broken machine at that time. When the replacement was in, I completely disassembled the broken machine with hopes of finding a way to repair the new one in the event it stops working. I was appalled by what I found- of the dozens of screws used to hold this machine together most were rusted. I get it, it's a carpet shampooer which means water is involved so rusted screws will happen, BUT, 3 months from purchase, I don't think that's okay. Also, the motor was rusting and there was a white gasket or belt that was obviously not fitted properly, because it looked stretched and melted to the motor. So the replacement was as expected, it worked fine until this morning when it started making that high pitched noise just like the one I purchased in May of this year. It's Oct 2021, 3 months ago it was replaced. In 6 months I have lost faith in the Hoover quality I was accustomed too. I grew up using only Hoover products to clean our floors. My dad said "Hoover never breaks." The proof was there as we used our personal Hoover machine to clean the floors of our church twice a week plus our home at least twice a week. I do not ever remember mechanical issues or replacements of those machines. The two machines I have used recently, are only used to clean the carpet in the living room of a one bedroom apartment. Both machines were treated with kid gloves by cleaning all detachable pieces on every use. I'm not sure how this will be resolved so I will gladly edit this review to include a resolution to my satisfaction when this matter is resolved. Such a disappointment.David

I spent hours reading reviews of different steam cleaners on multiple sites. I chose this Hoover knowing there were two risks based on those reviews. One, the machine would leak from the bottom. Two, it would stop working after only a few uses. I had hopes that neither of these would be the case because the good comments far exceeded the negative ones. But within 15 minutes of using the machine it began leaking profusely from the bottom. Called Hoover who confirmed it is an internal mechanical issue and could not be fixed. It does have a warranty so I can get a replacement but what confidence is there that this problem won't recur with the new one?? So frustrated. I am moving in three-weeks and need to clean the carpets for the next person – the warranty process would take past that amount of time. So now, I have to either go spend money on renting one or just get a completely different machine. Waste of time and money. I do not recommend this product, the negative reviews are accurate.Laura

Love the fact that it vacuums and mops at the same time. It does not have a roller brush but a single stationary brush so you have to go over the same place once or twice (on carpet) but it does a great job.schakare

Ok, so I see the reviews and I can say I personally have owned 1 of the Bissell Revolutions 2x whatever cleaning power and I was satisfied (extremely satisfied as it still runs). I have a black lab and a long haired cat and I live in the country. We have absolutely no concrete or asphalt surrounding our house, and live by the coast so our dirt is probably about 30-40% sand, so tracking mud and sand is frequent in our home. I still have the Bissell (no complaints there), however I clean mine everytime after I use it and vacuume very very thoroughly before I shampoo with my shark navigator (that I am also very very happy with). The thing with all carpet cleaners is the way you treat them. You can't just vacuume once briefly then expect the shampooer to not pick up hair clumps. Do this: vacuume the area until you think u did good, then empty the vacuume and do it again. If you pick up no hair, use the shampooer. If you keep vacuuming up hair, then keep vacuuming until you basically aren't picking up hair, then you will not have issues with your shampooer. I just got the Hoover Powerdash (I got a super good deal for $20 from a garage sale brand new in box never used so I figured why not, my Bissell isn't a pet model so this will be good to try) and am writng this review in response to all the negative recent reviewers I see just because they are having so many of the same issues with clumped hair and leaks.. First off, don't leave your shampooer with dirty water, and it won't leak. Also, don't leave solution in it or simply store the resiviour separately so you won't have leaks either. These machines mainly use gravity to apply solution, possibly with the assist of a small pump like device that might be powered by the belt rotation to feed water (which is great, never have to replace an actual pump) so if you leave solution or dirty water stored in the resiviors, your bound for issues. It's all common sense, if you expect to just leisurely vacuume and have your shampooer do all the rest, then hire a pro. If your willing to take the correct steps in maintaining and shampooing your carpets to remove grime, these are for you.
One lady stated she's owned 12 of the exact 1 that I own (which is I'm assuming for a business or a friggin mansion) so not sure what she's doing wrong but I guarantee the problem is operator error. Especially if she's having the same issues with the same shampooer that I have never seen, unless of course she's overusing them when she shoulda got a commercial cleaner for whatever she needs 12 of these things. I use mine about 15-20 times per year for the past 2 or 3 years and don't have issues. This is for residential use, if taken care of they will last. One last thing, clean your shampooer directly after use, I take mine out front and rinse it on our gravel driveway, being careful to only lightly spray the nozzle and brush assembly, keeping water away from the motor. This will ensure a clean start next session, and is a hell of a lot easier than cleaning clumped up dirt and hair that's caked up and dried solid before u even get to shampooing and even better for the machine instead of just flat out not cleaning at all and burning out the motor due to naglagence and poor maintenance. Use your head people, these are designed to clean what dry vacumes can't, not vacume up hair and remove grime at once. You need to remove a majority of the hair and then these come in and remove everything else just fine. Plain and simple.
Tip: make your own solution using a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, laundry detergent or dish soap and whatever essential oil fragrance you like (orange or grapefruit recommended). Search online for the correct amounts of ingredients for your needsTyler D

this cleans pretty well. Much better than my big Spin Scrub Hoover. This tiny little thing has the right kind of brushroll to pick up the carpet fibers and sweep off the dirt. It has good suction. Traffic areas get matted or compressed so they need the brushroll. What makes it a problem, is that the dirty water reservoir has very limited capacity so it only cleans about a 3×3 foot area before it is too full. That is, in a high traffic area. It might clean a slightly larger area if you are only lightly cleaning invisible dirt. I think the mechanism senses SUDS and freaks out and quits suctioning, and it also let a large amount of sudsy water leak out on my hardwood floor next to my carpet, without warning. If it's not very sudsy, it won't leak so bad, just a little, when full. so i had to empty this dirty water tank 3x on a 2.5x 8 foot hall carpet with low pile. . Not cool. Definitely ONLY for small areas as i said above. I was attracted to the bigger more expensive ones of this style that have 2 brush rolls and much larger capacity, and wider cleaning path. I will probably have to get one of those, as this one won't work well for a regular sized room, even just the traffic areas.lexy

Initially bought to clean carpet from when my pup was sick and tried to hide downstairs in the only part with carpet when she wasn’t feeling well. Unfortunately, that liquid sat into the carpet without knowing for a while. This carpet cleaner took care of that and then some ! I LOVE the feature that it has heat to help dry the carpet so you can basically walk onto it right after. I’ve had my basement get water in it after a storm and I was able to also use this to suck up all the water out of the carpet. It saved us from having to replace the baseboards/carpet. I understand it is compact so it’s not really meant to clean your entire house of carpet. The bin gets full quickly with the dirty fluids. The unit isn’t heavy like a commercial use which could be an issue if you have thick/deep carpet. It’s easily disassembled for cleaning of hair in the brush. I did notice when sucking up water from the thick carpets constantly to save us from flooding it was almost as if I could start to smell the belt running hot. In that case I tried my best to wait longer between vacuuming. I’d recommend this to anyone. 4.5 stars only for unit capacity is slightly not enough for my liking.kelsey.k

It actually surprised me how easy it was to operate and does an excellent job. Easy clean up and cleaning rollers was almost automatic. Let's hope it last an long time. Rating 4 stars which allows room to always make more improvement. Thanks GregOCD is ME

I have LVT flooring throughout most of my downstairs, and with two teenagers, two cats, and a big dog, I struggled to keep the floor clean. I used to vacuum with my stick vacuum several times a day, but hated to see the footprints left on the floor from wet feet and paws (we also have a lot of snow that gets tracked in). I love using the Karcher floor cleaner because it’s so easy to set up and can clean the paw prints my dog leaves all over the house after she goes outside in the snow. It’s also very satisfying to empty out the dirty water receptacle! The machine is very well made and solid. I’m really happy that I bought this and am grateful that I no longer have a mop and bucket sitting in the middle of my kitchen every day.Nebbes

I purchased this item in 2020 and was initially very pleased. Unfortunately, as I used it the performance degraded quickly and drastically. I only used it maybe 6 or 7 times before it became unusable. There are plastic gears in it that wear very quickly and make the appliance unusable. There are additional reports of this issue on the internet. It has been sitting unusable in my closet for most of the last 2 years!!! Very disappointed in the manufacturer. I will never purchase another one of their products again! Really this item should not have ever been sold. Unfortunately I have to give it one star. It really deserves less than 0.Eric

Almost 200 less than the Cordless Bissell! great that you don't have to sweep your floor before you love your floor with this Little Gem! And how cool that it cleans its own roller when you put it back on its base. I also get more time from mine been a lot here have said the average is around 22 minutes. I get close to 35 minutes. this says that this is the item that I purchased, but what I received was one that was briefly released before it was labeled the new model. I get longer battery life. also if you register your product and provide your email address. They mail you a free roller. Which is very handy to have one drying while the other is in use. The price is great, I don't think you will regret your purchase. and just an FYI for those of you who are complaining about how the cleaning machine leaks. I just about bet you're not using the proper cleaning solution. I tried using something with a friend and it foamed up and leaked all over. Now I only use a floor cleaning solution. I have use Great Value and it works great as well.William

The Tineco iFloor 2 is an awesome cleaner! Unboxing the iFloor 2 was very easy, and it was packed quite well. It arrived with a partial charge and lasted about 10 minutes before I had to charge it. It's worth mentioning that the device didn't lose suction or roller strength at all during this period, and the device just turned off once there wasn't enough charge remaining. So, you can expect full power up until the battery requires a charge. Once fully charged, I was able to clean the entire house with the iFloor 2, and ran for a full 45 minutes. The power indicator was still solid, indicating there was no need to charge yet. It wouldn't surprise me if a full charge could last for a full hour in some instances! We have tile floors in our kitchen and one bathroom, and hardwood floors throughout the house, and linoleum in another bathroom. The iFloor 2 worked beautifully on our tile and hardwood, removing a ton of dirt, hair, and stains that were left behind after using a steaming mop just a few days ago (see picture for gross dirt water!). Regarding the stains in particular, we have tried many scrubbing techniquest through the years but we were never able to remove them from our tile. The iFloor 2 lightened or removed all the stains on our tile! I suspect repeated uses of the device will remove the stains entirely (here's hoping!). For the hardwood, we've never taken the time to mop and instead just vacuum. The iFloor 2 made short work of the dirt on the hardwood, and even removed a layer of dirty film we didn't even know was present. Our hardwood floors have never looked so good! The bathroom linoleum cleaned up easily too with the iFloor 2, and just "feels" cleaner when walking on it than after using a regular mop. Cleaning the iFloor 2 once the job is complete is really easy too. It has a self-cleaning cycle that takes care of the hard work for you by cleaning and rinsing the roller brush. The resulting water is then collected in the dirty water bin for easy emptying. The only concern I have with the device is the charging port. It uses a standard barrel-type plug-in adapter, and it feels a bit loose in the port on the device. It works perfectly for the time being, but I just wonder how it'll hold up over time after repeated connect and disconnect cycles.Angela40

I have very mixed feelings about this machine. Ultimately I think if you’re looking for something quick and easy to clean up small messes, lightly dust, etc. this would work just fine. The suction is decent, and where it did clean, only with both mop and vacuum, it got some little unnoticed spills up and didn’t streak. The machine is quiet, maneuvers and works efficiently, and really feels nice to use. My two main let-downs with this is that it doesn’t seem to be very pet-hair friendly (despite what Tineco claims), and the machine doesn’t get close enough to baseboards/edges. I wanted to see how well the vacuum part worked without adding water/mopping. Not only was it aggravating that the machine seemed to blow air out and thus dog hair away, I couldn’t go more than a couple of passes before the machine would get clogged; I have a short haired dog and my floors weren’t that bad. It did work a bit better when I started using the water though. Next, I’ll have to go around with perimeter of half my house with my normal broom and mop because the gap of untouched floor is THAT noticeable. the closest you can get to a baseboard is roughly 1/2” on one side, and probably a good 1 1/2” on the other. What’s the point in using this thing if I’m going to have to get the big guns out anyways?Ashtan

When you want to use this, just fill up the clean water tank with mostly water and a small cap-full of soap. Then you're ready to go. The first time I hit the power button, I was surprised as it kind of drives itself forward. Pretty nice to lighten the load but you're also fighting against that push when your pull the vacuum back again. Overall it was a nice little assist, I think. The vacuum and mop did a pretty nice job of cleaning the floor pretty quickly but it did require an empty and refill of the tanks before I was finished. That doesn't take too long so it was no big deal. After I was done doing the whole upstairs area, the battery still had about 60% left (I was worried because when I first started it up, it looked like the battery was draining very quickly). The nice thing about having a screen with all the information on it is that you can see at a glance how hard the vacuum is working and what battery level is remaining. After you're done the instructions recommend you clean the dirty and clean water tanks as well as the roller and roller protector after each use. This is the only annoying part since you can't really just grab the vacuum to do a quick job and put it back but the cleanup of these things doesn't take too long. The base station does include an auto-clean feature for the roller so you have that going for you and there were 2 additional rollers included with this vacuum so you can always just rotate them if you need to clean one. Apparently there's an app that goes with this vacuum. The instructions just said that you can "perform all functions from the app" but I don't really know what functions those are. I did not download the app and can't imagine what I would possibly need it for. The functions on the vacuum are very minimal and can be adjusted with just a few pushes of the 3 buttons on the vacuum. I just didn't want another app on my phone. The only weird thing I didn't love about this vacuum was how it sat on the charging station. It leans forward quite a bit for some reason. I would expect it to just sit straight up and down but when the head is locked and you place it on the charger the handle leans forward at what feels like a 30 degree angle. Far more than you'd expect. Enough that I thought I was doing something wrong. I couldn't figure out a better way to place it on the charger though so I'm going to assume it's just how it was designed. I got used to it quickly enough but it was a weird thing when I first saw it. Overall, I like the vacuum. It does a good job supplementing our robot vacuum by being easy to get up and running and being easy to break down and clean when we're done (while not needing to break down the entire upstairs before using it since we can move things while vacuuming). I never taught about using a vacmop before i was kind of skeptical and it would take me a while to clean my hardwood floors .. was kind of an event to say. Not anymore… thanks to this Tineco Floor One s5 Extreme i’m actually looking forward to do it now. I will attach some pictures to see what comes in the box and it’s pretty straight forward plug and play kind of situation as well with some before and after situation. Everything is very intuitive to use but you can check the book or type the name of it on youtube and they have an interactive video in how to use it for first time. It comes with 2 extra brushes and an extra filter that will come in handy when you’ll wash and let dry the ones that you’ll be using first(about 24hrs) they recommended doing that after each use and you’ll want to do that and don’t forget to empty the messy water each time so u prevent bad odors. The design and features are very modern … it has a voice and a screen that will assist you in your cleaning process. To be mentioned here is the feature that senses the proportion of a mess when on auto and turns gradually the blue light into a red one, sign that you should insist in that particular area till becomes completely blue and it’s scary accurate!!! The stand acts like a support and charger (which will take somewhere 3-4hrs for it to be fully juiced up). They also recommend using ONLY Tineco cleaning solution or just plain water. I totally underestimated this machine. When I turned it on, the brush kicked in and almost dragged me acoss the floor! Not really, but I was surprised by how powerful the brush was for such a compact package. This mop is no joke. I'm a busy and stressed-out professional, so lots of housekeeping chores don't get done on a regular basis. I've been meaning to clean the kitchen floor for quite a while — I had food and coffee spills, tracked mud, etc, on the floor in places, and serious grossness under the oven and fridge. I figured that I'd give this machine a workout. It really worked. It took several passes in some areas, but the machine just kept working at the mess until it was all clean. The dirty tank strains out the solid materials to make it easy to dump without clogging your sink. It also uses less water than I would expect, so I didn't have to dump the tank nearly as often as I thought I would have to. The clean tank and the dirty tank have good capacity. One super thoughtful little detail is that both tanks have flat bottoms, so they can be put upright on the counter, and you don't have to lean them against anything like you do with other wet vacuums. I really like how it is as maneuverable as a light vacuum, it does a great job on hard floors and we can also use it on floor mats that aren't too thick. That brush-forward design really gets right up to edges and corners. It is very user-friendly. The display is large, bright and useful, and the voice prompts are really helpful. I bought a Bissell crosswave cordless max last year for Christmas because this was sold out. Originally I wanted this I did a lot of research and thought the Tineco one was far more advanced considering they had come out at the same time. My Bissell broke and again it hasn't even been a year I did not buy the warranty for it because I thought it would at least last a year. But I decided I'd buy my original choice and I'm far from disappointed. The issues I had with the Bissell I don't with this. Bissell was bad at streaking and would leave a puddle of water behind the brush roller was so soft it wouldn't pick up dried messes larger food bits would be pushed in front of the Bissell instead of being picked up. The Tineco one is streak free has a studier brush roller that makes picks up dried messes easily it is an auto mode machine so it distributes water and detects water never leaves a puddle behind large food objects like dog kibble gets picked up easily. I have a fairly high number of animals and a senior dog who doesn't have 100% bladder control so these machines are used day in day out. I recommend this to anyone its perfect for everyday use light to heavy messes.Alysun Lusty

I chose this thanks to the Vacuum Wars youtube channel. We used to have a Bissell Crosswave but it didn't last long at all. It started to smell pretty quickly and got clogged a lot (dog hair gang!) I assumed it was our habits so we bought a second one and the same thing happened again, even with more vacuuming and better Crosswave cleaning habits. This time I decided the extra money would be worth it and so far it definitely has been! The only con so far: the clean water tank really should be larger. We have a medium house, nothing large or fancy, and we can't even get through a full room (kitchen especially) without refilling the tank.Cam

Overall: I really love it! Easy to use, quick and sufficient; Great for daily use & for family with pet. I do list detailed limitations below but it solves my biggest problem (a quick daily cleanning) so I am still happy. The concept of this mop is excellent. In order to offer a thorough review I am going to break it down into cons and pros. Pros: 1. Dual tanks: As opposed to other mops, like the Spinwave mop, this mop comes with dual tanks. This idea is great because there is a tank with clean water continuosly providing water to the roller while the other tank collects the dirty water created as the mop cleans your floor. This is a major plus because you are no longer spreading the dirt all around your floors. 2. Three rollers: The fact that 3 rollers are included it makes it really easy to continue using this mop even if one roller is out of service because it's drying. 3. Light weight: The mop is light in weight and it's easy to maneuver throughout my hardwood floors. 4. Built-in Screen: It's nice to have a screen that displays the battery percent remaining as you mop the floors. As it goes down it kind of rushes you to finish the job. LOL 5. Mop and vacuum cleaner combined: This thing can mop and vacuum at the same time. It's great if you want to go straight into mopping without vacuuming. Down side to this is that you will have to clean the dirty water tank and it's not fun. Cons: 1. Price: At $400, I think this mop is too expensive. I was lucky enough to get it when it was on sale for a fraction of the cost. At the price point I bought it, it's a steal. 2. Edges cannot be mopped: This mop will not be able to mop the edges around your house due to how the mop was designed. It leaves about 1 cm or 2 of the hardwood unmopped. I haven't seen a real issue with this but I know some people get upset about this. I have a Roomba J7+ that vacuums the edges real well so I am not really worried about it. Plus, the edges do not get really dirty, it's not a high traffic area. 3. Small tanks: While the concept of dual tanks is awesome, their size is really not. If you are planning to mop around 1,500 Sq. Ft at a time you may have to refill the clean water tank and also discard the water in the dirty water tank at least once. 4. Cleaning the dirty water tank: This mop offers the dual feature of vacuuming and mopping all at once. It's great if you don't want to vacuum before mopping but just keep in mind that YOU will be the one responsible for cleaning the dirty water tank. The tank can get really nasty and you may not like what you see. Thankfully I have a Roomba and I always let it vacuum first before I mop. 5. Battery life: I put this as a con because the battery only lasts for about 35 minutes. If you are wanting to mop a house that is 2,500 Sq. Ft or higher you have to take a long break to let this thing charge again. I would definitely suggest this company to add a bigger battery or offer a fast charging station like Ego does. As someone who owns a home with mostly hardwood floors, small amounts of carpets, and a large number of rugs, I've definitely struggled to find the best and most versatile cleaning solutions. The Floor One S3 is the closest I've come yet to floor cleaning bliss. Things I liked about it: Tidy package with the dock, holds most of the parts and accessories, and you don't have to plug in to charge it, there are contacts in the dock that do this for you. Extra brush roller Self Cleaning mode when you dock Voice announcements for what it's doing as it cleans/changes modes iLoop tells you when it detects dirty floors Things I didn't like as much (Opportunities) HEAVY for it's size Battery life is shorter than expected for the size Auto Mode tends to use more water than I would expect Does this really need wifi? Clean water tank is even smaller/shorter use time than the battery life Doesn't sneak in under things as nimbly as you might hope Voice announcements will definitely need to be shut off, or at least reduced in volume This vac-mop is quite hefty for it's somewhat compact looking size, and is definitely bottom weighted design. The cleaning power and abilities are the best I've seen yet from a vac mop, and I have been zipping it out just to have the satisfaction of cleaning up a particular mess or dust bunny. On the flip side, I feel like I can watch the battery level drop by the second as I use it, and it doesn't quite do my entire main floor of hardwood/tile. The clean water tank seems like I'm constantly filling it. Reading the manual is NOT optional, as you need to know how often to manually clean what. The iLoop display is informative, and I found I was able to charge it up and start using it immediately. The Tineco = Floor One S3 Extreme Wet/Dry Hard Floor Cordless Vacuum impressed us both on its very first use. The assembly amounts to snapping the handle into place and putting the clean water tank into place. and that's it! The loop on the handle points forward and where you put it in the machine has a matching groove for the little protrusion on the handle bottom front side so you can't put it on wrong. Plug it in to charge up, add one capful of the enclosed Tineco cleaning/disinfecting solution and go read the book while it charges. It talks to you! Letting you know what its doing or that you need to do to it and its display ring turns from red to blue as to let you know the area that you are cleaning is clean. The voice assist can be turned off if not desired at the time or not desired at all. It's really lightweight and relatively quiet and on normal dirt and dust days it is even self – cleaning.! Just put it back in the charging base and hit the self – cleaning button and it cleans the roller for you. Of course you still have to dump and clean the dirty water tank and filter yourself. And speaking of dirty water we were very surprised at exactly how dirty the water was. I dry mop daily and wet mop when it needs it or at least every other week but the Tineco picked up so much more than that method. It left us with very clean, mopped and vacuumed and shiny vinal and sealed hardwood floors in the time it takes to vacuum only otherwise. Now after a big mess such as spaghetti'o's or something you may have to manually clean the tank and roller but that is an easy task as well. Personally we will generally clean up major messes with paper towels before attempting to use this or anything else before we had this. It can also be used in suction mode only where needed or required. I've tested a decent amount of vacuums over the last decade. This is the first one I've tested that was made for hard surfaces and I was excited to get it mostly for my wife who always uses whatever other vacuum on our hard floors almost interchangeably as our carpeted areas. While I normally would sweep hard floors and them vacuum up the pile or let our robot vacuum with mop attachment do all the work for me. Setup was a little overwhelming looking at first but not too bad. The whole thing comes in more pieces than I would normally expect to find but the instructions lay out what everything is pretty nicely and after the initial shock it wasn't too hard to figure it out. I put it all together and let it charge over night (it suggests at least 4-5 hours of charge time before the initial use). I'm pretty happy with the steps required to actually use this vacuum. It's mostly a supplement to our robot vacuum/mop. Since they haven't responded to multiple requests regarding 2 issues that make my Hydravac unusable, this review is ALL about their customer service. Their phone number instructs you to use email or chat. The chat link isn't a link, and they don't answer their emails. Buyer beware. 3 emails to support have gone unanswered. I'm left with a wet dry vac that is useless. When your teenage kids say they want to clean, then you know you're purchase is a success and worthy of a five star review. I have used the standard broom and pumped up cleaners with pads. Name it, and I've tried it. This Hydra Clean has saved me so much time and arguments. I received it, read the instructions, charged it and put her to work as soon as it was fully charged. It is highly recommended to read the instructions to get the entire experience from the Hydra Clean. It has voice commands which are very sophisticated and techy, so it's like an interactive experience when you clean. On the upper part of the device it has icons which tell you battery life, running time, and provides the self cleaning time needed when you have to clean after moping. I have wood floors, tile and rug so I was able to use it on multiple finishes. The battery life is good for about 30 minutes. I don't mind how long it lasts because it is worth not having a cable to plug in and plug out. As a vaccum, it performed above my expectations. Usually with these types of two in one models, one feature works better than the other. We have 2 Frenchies in the house that are tan in color. You can't really see how much they shed until you actually have to clean it. The vaccum feature picked up all the hair, where with my standard broom sweeps it up but the flying of these tiny hairs are stubborn and frustrating. So I am replacing a handheld vaccum, a full size vaccum and a broom. Less clutter and cables. As a mop, score! I can mop and vaccum at the same time. That's half of my cleaning time. I've had the fancy pricy pads with a squirting feature. With those you have to be careful how much you spray, we're you spray and wait, change the pad, and repeat. With the Hydra Clean you don't have to do all that. It doesn't squirt all over the place and it dries right after you have used it in an area. You also have the control of how much water you want to use, it is not a one squirt fits all model type. I don't have to go clean a pad or wait around for my floors to dry. Before I had to barricade the area because either a dog or a human messed it up. It also has a timer for the self cleaning. This is a feature which I've never has before even when I had the very high priced ones. The other ones don't do this and the water gets really yucky and smelly too. With these moping features I have replaced the traditional mop and my other picker upper with pads. Overall, I'm very pleased with my Hydra Clean based on the performance and the feedback I received when my kids said they wanted to clean. I'm on my second return in three months. I love this machine… when it works. Like others have stated, after just a few uses there's a burnt smell and a grinding noise before the brush eventually stops rolling. We took both machines completely apart to thoroughly clean them, but cannot get the noise to stop. It's between the little rubber belt and the part where the roller attaches to the machine. Theres no dirt, hair, or other debris trapped. Not sure what the issue is, but I really wish they'd fix this. If you vacuum up hair, you have to clean it out pretty quickly or it will leave muddy puddles on the floor. It is a great product while it lasts. Also the battery charge could last longer, but it has bigger issues to handle, like actually out-lasting it's return policy.Kristen

Had I known that you have to hold the handle down to create the steam I would have never bought it. I have had other steam machines and never had to do this. If you have any issues with your hands this machine is not for you, ie arthritis. The extra tank for the water does not come out easily, not sure if it is only my machine or others but it is always a struggle. I just purchased this machine back in April, and I have not be able to buy the replacement filter because every time I check on their website it is sold out. The filter is needed to operate the steam cleaner, which I was not aware of, since it really isn't in the description of the product but in the manual once you receive it.pizella

I bought this steamer believing it was going to be amazing for my wood floors. When I used the steamer, it really didn't pick up dirt, it just spread the dirt around more. I tried to contact customer service several times to inquire about a return. After finding the returns instructions it was going to cost me almost as much as the unit to ship back. I have had this Hoover Steam Complete for about a month now and I love everything about it. This steamer is very light weight so it's easy for me to carry around and and steam clean just about everything in my home. I like using this Hoover Steam Complete to Steam clean the the small edges around my sink it the kitchen, I also used it to get all the gunk off of my stove top, I have also use it to steam clean my windows and wow! I can't believe what a easy and wonderful job it did on my windows! They where so spotless when I was finished! There was also a few spots on my couch that I had tried to get out before with a little soap and water but I just made it look worse, so of course when I used this Hoover Steam Complete on the spots it made my couch look so nice again with no spots! This steamer is wonderful, I have also cleaned some spots on my carpet and use it all the time to steam mop my kitchen floor! I am so happy with my new Hoover Steam Complete and I can't wait to use all of the tools that come with it! This is awesome I get to clean (cleaning is something I love to do) but because of this Hoover Steam Complete I get to clean without having to use heavy chemicals, I get to use the power of water/steam! I purchased this item in a pinch. I was visiting my mom and walked into a house of fleas! Pest control was unavailable for 4 days, and offered a flea bomb service. which meant all animals and people would need to gone for a day. This was a huge problem! My mom has 4 cats and a dog. 2 of the cats are saved strays, so she can not touch them yet. Anyway after googling our options we got some flea meds from the vet, and purchased this item, as my research said fleas drown easily, and any soap will also kill them. We choose this item because it was small and lightweight as neither of us are young anymore. We got it home and assembled it easily. Added water and soap and began flea control! We cleaned the wall to wall carpet in her 2 bedroom flat! It cleaned nicely, and looked good. Everything soft was put in the washer and dryer. It dried in a few hours with the ceiling fans on! We didn't know immediately if we removed any fleas. After pest control came out a week later, they didn't find any! She was given the all clear! Although my first night visiting was spent carpet cleaning the rest of my visit was very nice! This little machine was easy to use, and I ended up purchasing one for myself a couple months later. Neither of our homes are big, so since this is easy to use and lightweight, I can get it upstairs. You have to fill and empty nearly every room, sometimes more depending on size. The dirty water tank looks big but stops picking up water when the noise changes. Which is intensional, so you know when to empty. Looks like it would hold much more, but after a quick empty, it was cleaning again. The power button is in a really weird location, can't hit it with your foot, but is way low down. Again not a big deal, but I would prefer not to bend if I don't have too. This item was decently priced.
