The composition of the product is a little thicker than a serum closer to that of a gel. I needed to use it very little and it spread quite nicely. It added moisture to my hair and did not seem to negatively affect my scalp. I am sensitive to a lot of products and this one was Not irritating in anyway. After much research for a product that would keep the static out of my hair in the harsh winter climate, I settled on this product. It got great reviews and seemed to be what I was looking for (a leave-in product that could be used on damp or dry hair). I was excited to use it so I tried to apply it onto my towel dried hair the first day. I was immediately hit by the very strong perfume-like smell of the product. I thought maybe I could get over that if the product worked. I went ahead and dried my hair and styled it. The second I put my coat on, STATIC everywhere! I thought maybe I should give the product the benefit of the doubt and try it on dry hair instead the next day. So, after blow drying my hair on day 2, I applied the product as directed. Once again, the strong perfume-like smell was overwhelming. Hoping for the best I put my coat on again and the static reappeared. I use this on my hair when it’s damp/wet to help keep it smooth. I have a LOT of very long, very straight hair of medium thickness. I use two pumps and apply from my ears down and work it through my hair. I air dry my hair but when I occasionally blow dry it, this works just as well. I don’t apply it to my roots. It smells amazing, high praise coming from me as I’m sensitive to scents! It’s fruity and a bit sweet, but not overpowering once my hair dries. I bought this cuz I saw all the good reviews about it. I’ve had several different serums at home but when I tried this for the first time, I’m in love. Not only is it lightweight, but the scent smells awesome too! The quality is good, it made my hair soft and tangle-free. Hair is so much smoother, silkier and no frizz at all. Doesn’t make my hair oily too. I attached a pic of my hair after using this serum however, I would like to point out that in order to achieve what I’ve shown in the pic, you can’t just rely on one product. I did use garnier anti-humidity leave-in conditioner on damp hair before using my heat protectant to blow dry. Right after that I applied this serum and then DAvines OI Oil as a finishing (another great product). The serum itself is good, I only used it from mid lengths to ends. The packaging size tho, it’s quite small. BUT! Only 2 small pumps is enough for my hair (I’m southeast asian and my hair length is below my chest, it’s medium thick) so a little goes a long way! If you have thicker hair, you need to section your hair to a few parts, I only sectioned to 2 because it’s not that thick. I found this product yearssss ago when I first started the Curly Girl Method. It was very runny, white and much lighter. I ended up repurchasing it and when I opened it, it is incredibly yellow and thick and the ingredient list is completely different. I don't use it everyday to care but in general, Shea Moisture was my Go To absolutely favorite brand and I used their shampoo and conditioner for about 8 years- but I noticed it a couple of months ago stripped my hair and caused an insane amount of frizz. What a shame. I will never buy another Shea Moisture product. They used to have amazing ingredients, now they have all weird chemicals and the smells changed badly. LOVE THIS SERUM SO MUCH! I always apply it when my hair is damp. This method has helped me untangle my hair a lot faster pain free. After I’ve worked the serum into my hair, brushed it and let it air dry. My hair feels so soft. It gives my hair a beautiful shine. I've used this product for years and I adore it! Unfortunately, Walmart is the only place I can find it. Sometimes I cannot even find it in store. I recently ordered 12 bottles via their website. I got the order in 9 different shipments! Apparently their stock is running low in warehouses? I'm glad I ordered when I did… The product helps tame my frizzy hair. It's a thick serum and I have thick hair, so I tend to use a little more product than recommended. It's the only thing that works in my hair. I’ve used a few different argan oils for my hair, most common ones being the OGX and Hanz De Fuko Hair Oil. The Forte Series beats them both by a mile! I have fine hair, so those of you who are like me know it’s hard to find a good product that controls frizz while not weighing your hair down too much. This does just that! It’s not too oily and heavy (much like the OGX ) and does a better job controlling the frizz when compared to HDF Hair Oil. This stuff goes on super easy and evenly and leaves my hair soft all day. The scent is the same as the molding paste so no need to worry about clashing fragrances. This frizz control oil is life changing!!!! I naturally have very curly/ frizzy hair and after taking a shower I put some of this oil on and my curls have never looked better! I was really optimistic about this product, i searched reviews before i bought it and everything because i REALLY needed something to work. unfortunately this product made my frizz worse, whatever wave i had naturally disappeared. I wanted to love this product. It's vegan, has no dyes or parabens and is made of recycled materials which is awesome!! I would put this in after my hair was about halfway air dried. If I would let it continue to air dry it would still become pretty frizzy anyways (I have naturally wavy hair idk if that matters) But when styled it was pretty good! Smells pretty good like a typical salon product! But I noticed if I put it on dry hair it would make my hair appear very oily/greasy 🙁 it also caused my back to breakout like crazy!! This product was received as an incentive from Influenster for my honest review. WOW. I was not expecting to like this as much as I do! I’ve been using this product for a couple weeks now and it has already done wonders for my hair. I naturally have very coarse, thick, dry hair and use a litany of oils and deep conditioners to keep my hair maintained. I feel like using this product consistently may alleviate that. This oil is on the thicker side, (which helps weigh down my thick hair- in a good way) and initially smells fruity / clean but somehow dries down to a more masculine clean scent (which I prefer for my hair). I have dry, bleach dyed blonde hair and the humidity makes my hair so frizzy and tangled. It has a natural smell that didn’t bother me and the texture wasn’t too thick, thin, or oily. This hair serum instantly smoothed and tamed my hair after application. A little goes a long way so I didn’t have to use a lot of product to get great results. I think I found another go to product to help tame this mane. I loved the frizz-free results that stopped frizz at my hairline without making my hair greasy (AMAZEBALLS), but whew, the smell is awful. Luckily the smell goes away after thirty minutes or so. I have medium thick 2B wavy/ curly frizzy hair and I have one heck of a time trying to get my hair under control. I used this, in combination with the Dyson Airwrap, Verb Ghost oil (for shine), Verb Ghost hairspray (for hold), and IGK Good Behavior Smoothing Balm. I was pretty impressed by the results. For an amateur it was an easy at home blow out, and my results have held for 3 days without my hair looking greasy or wild. If you are on the fence I would say try it if you can get past the smell for the amazing results. I really enjoy this product. I have very oily hair so I was worried it might make my hair more oil. But, it didn't. The product works very well at keeping my little baby hairs under control. I do not spray it on all of my hair, rather I just apply it to my hair part. The product does not completely stop frizz for me, but it does improve my frizz situation overall. My only complaint it that the mist is not my favorite scent. I almost wish it was unscented. It’s odd that I love this and am peeved by this at the same time. It has alcohol in it which you smell right away after spraying it on… almost smells like Aquanet. You think it would strip your hair but it doesn’t. It does smooth your hair down quite well. I spray it on right before I apply Biolage’s leave in treatment and wrap my hair up for bed. In the morning, my long hair is hydrated and completely smooth all the way down to the ends. And it smells like a tropical beach… who doesn’t love that?liz.b

I only use hair oil as the finishing touch to smooth down any fly-aways and frizz after I've styled my curly/wavy hair. I was previously using the strengthening treatment oil (the one with the rose in it) which I liked but found I had to use a fair amount to smooth my curls. Probably because it's more for strengthening and less for frizz control. I then discovered this one and it's perfect! I love the smell and the texture! It's slightly heavier so you barely need any – I just use 1 to 2 pumps for my shoulder length hair so this will last awhile. Works amazing at smoothing and controlling frizz and contributes to curl definition if that's your thing. I can totally see that if you use too much it might be too heavy and greasy so apply very sparingly and build up as you need to. I also love the smell and love that it doesn't have silicone. I have thin, fine hair that's got some flat-iron fry going on. I was looking for a frizz remedy. This product has a good mix of oils that I was reading are good fixes for damage-induced frizz. But no matter what amount I use, or when, this oil just kind of sits on top of my hair and doesn't do anything but coat it unpleasantly. AND the frizz remains, just in a stiffly oily state. I received with my purchase some free samples from Ulta that are much better help-oils that actually get absorbed and improve my hair. I am very sensitive to fragrances so I try to buy products that either use no fragrances at all or all natural ingredients. To me, this oil has too strong of a fragrance for an everyday or all day use for me. Furthermore, i have a lot of hair but it is very thin so really even a little bit of this product makes my hair look wet and oily. I did find a use for this product though. I use this as a full scalp/hair oil which I put on about an hour before I'm going to shower – then wash out completely and style normally. I probably wouldn't buy this again for the fragrance alone. I have really been enjoying this hair oil! The packaging is so beautiful, the component is weighty and feels luxe, and the oil itself is a bright yellow, which looks so cool. I apply to wet hair and work it into the end of my hair. Honestly, I can't get over how smooth and soft this makes my hair look and feel! I'm so I pressed! I docked 1 star because the scent has a subtle undertone I don't really like, almost like pine nuts or peppercorn, idk, but it's not over powering. I also found the oil to be very runny. I got this as a sample when ordering the shampoo and conditioner and totally surprised me. My hair is mostly straight but does have a little wave to it and can get a little puffy/frizzy in the humidity of the summer. I use the oil on damp hair after showering, focusing on my ends but also using the remainder on my hair line and it makes my hair SO soft and smooth! I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down – and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer – I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use – with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. There’s so many things to list out for this moroccanoil treatment serum that I love so very much! I love the smell! It’s very calming. I use it after my showers and lightly finger it throughout the mid and ends of my wet hair, then I take my wet-hair detangling brush and gently brush through my hair to detangle and distribute the product (serum). once my hair air drys (yes, I’m one of those people but my hair thanks me for it!) my hair looks like I’ve had a team of people working on it for hours. It’s incredibly soft, easy to manage, my natural waves are much more defined, my hair overall feels healthier and more resilient and finally, the scent lasts for several days and so do the results. Long term I feel as though this will be what my hair has been begging me for! I’ve let my beautiful momma borrow the bottle so that she can experience what I’ve been ranting and raving about for days now. Fun little tidbit: my moms hair is down past the back of her knees and she’s also around 5’5. I bought this shampoo because of the glowing reviews from Amazon and the Maple Holistics site. So I just starting using the Silk18 combo set. I'm a retiring grandma and my hair is dry, course and naturally curly, actually more frizzy with many years of colorings. I live in Florida and with the humidity it's a bad hair day every day. I also notice more hair collecting in my brush as I age (thinning?). This product seems to be working by keeping the frizz less noticeable, adding moisture, it's doesn't leave a heavy/oily weight to my hair and I go longer between washings. Usually after a couple of months I have to change shampoos as they stop working on my hair. It will be interesting to see if this combo will last longer and continue to work without residue build-up like so many others. Eventually I would like to try more of the hair care line.Linda M.

Now monsoon literally takes life out of my already lifeless hair.. i came across this really affordable hair masque from mamaearth and thought to give if a try.. now review..has a strong not so bad fragrance. To be applied for around 20-25 mins.. and washed off and regular hair wash afterwards. The product didnt do wonders to my hair in the first time alone.. blv me my hair were hopeless.. but second application did improve my hair. They have now become more manageable. This oil was just waaaaaay to thick and heavy for my hair. I have a LOT of thick, curly hair. I use the recommended size amount for my hair, spread through my hair and it just weighs it all down. Honestly a dab will do ya with this stuff. Don’t go overboard. Focus on dry ends. I love the smell and a little does go a long way. If you don’t like dimethiconey products this isn’t for you. It’s a texture I personally love. This isn’t like a dry oil texture type of product. I add a bottle of this to my conditioner and swirl it around if I want extra conditioning. It blends really well with conditioner. It does have a strong sweet almost vanilla or caramel scent. This doesn’t come in a pump bottle but frankly you probably don’t need a full pump of the product as it’s very rich and a pump of product in the palm would be messy.daviana.e

I bought this Shampoo and Conditioner about 3 months ago. About a month in, I noticed I was getting some raised bumps on my scalp. Eventually these turned into almost acne? And white heads? And when the spots came out, the hair follicles came with them. It was terrible. I started using a sulfate shampoo every other time I washed my hair to see if that helped, but it didn't. About 2 weeks ago I threw it out and my scalp is starting to clear up. I've never reacted to hair care like this, so I'm not sure what happened here but it definitely wasn't for me. This smells really nice. It is the only good thing about it. I used this twice. The second day my hair was so waxy and dirty funky feeling. It took 4 hours to air dry. When it finally did my hair looked dirtier than before I washed it. It has a real bad waxy build up. The shampoo is very drying.
