I added this into my cleaning regimen recently. I use this solution when I mop “the old fashioned way” and a different solution to spot clean with a bona mop. I used the bona/other solution yesterday – floors appear clean. I mopped for real today with Aunt Fannie’s – the water after I was done was SHOCKING and oddly satisfying. I’ve actually been using this for years before I discovered Grove. I have a house full of antique hardwood floors, so not sealed. I use the Bona mop system for daily cleaning because it was recommended by flooring experts. But, when a deeper cleaning is needed, that product falls short. Method floor cleaner for wood has enough safe, gentle surfactants to get the floor really clean, especially if there’s a really dirty spot or some mysterious sticky spill. The almond scent is not overpowering. It’s not my favorite scent. But, it’s not objectionable. I do truly wish Method made refills since the plastic squirt bottle would be easily reusable. I’m very impressed with this product! Although I didn’t notice a smell (I don’t care about the scent part), this cleaned my old imperfect wood floors fantastically! I used to use Murphy’s wood oil cleaner but have seen a lot of negative comments about their new formula so I figured I would try this and I’m impressed! When I lived in a house with almost all hardwood floors there was a lot of sweeping and mopping involved to keep them looking good. As a fan of method products and environmentally-friendly items in general I immediately bought and started using method's Almond Squirt and Mop Hardwood Floor cleaner in conjunction with their now-defunct O-Mop. Yes this squirt and mop liquid was environmentally friendly and smelled lovely. Yes it was easy enough to find at the local Target and even in some grocery stores. That being said it was good really only for a quick touch-up or spot-clean. I still had to get on my hands and knees with a cloth to remove any type of dried stain. It also didn't leave the floors with any type of long-lasting shine like Murphy's Oil Soap did. Eventually I stopped buying this method hardwood floor cleaner and returned to Murphy's Oil Soap. We used this cleaner at work on our wood floor for quite a while, it's an Ok cleaner, but not outstanding in my opinion. Performance This is a decent cleaner, but it's not the best I've ever used. It advertises that you can jus drizzle on the floor and mop but that's not quite right. You really need to sweep or use a dust mop beforehand, otherwise you will not get very clean at all. Using this product with rags on hands and knees is far more effective at getting all the dirt off than just using a mop. What I like best about this product is that you don't have to use very much to clean the floor and it dries very quickly. Generally there is not need to go back with dry rags to dry off the floor after mopping, which I a big time saver. Scent Scent is very mild, I actually have to stop and think to remember what it smells like. I used this product to clean the wood floors at my home. We had been doing some updating. The floors were extra dusty and had hundreds of microscopic paint spots on them. I just used a damp mop, I squirted the product onto my hand scraped walnut wood floors. By the end of the day, my floors had nice light shine and didn't look greasy or feel sticky. I have a century old hardwood floor through my kitchen and hallway to the dining room. It is beautiful, but the kitchen has 5 doors – meaning it's the route to everywhere in the house as well as to the back yard. So even more than most kitchens, it's the most used (and most extremely dirtied) floor in the house! I bought the CrossWave to help me out, and it is a miracle to use. But after using up the sample Bissell wood floor formula that came with it, I thought I'd just use my old floor cleaner fluid instead. I was surprised to find out that, although the CrossWave continued to do an excellent job cleaning the floor, the wood floor formula by Bissell really made the wood glow in a way that my trusted old wood cleaning fluid doesn't. I tried others, but just wasn't as happy as I'd been with the Bissell sample. Annoying, because I'd prefer just to pick some cleaning fluid up when I need it, but I can't find it in stores. This us a great little starter kit. First, you need to do your homework because there are no instructions for anything except the controller. I mounted this on my truck's fiberglass topper. You need to pay attention to the grounding locations on the panel and provide a ground wire and nut and bolt to them. Yes, you only need one, but I put in two. The cable connector diameter is 1/4", and connector diameter is 3/4", but once you put in one cable, you need more room to push through the 2nd 3/4" connector. I drilled a 1/4" hole next to the 3/4 hole to slide the cable out of the way. You will need grommets and sealant, or I used a marine through-hole connector. Sealed, of course. My truck cap is slightly curved – enough that if I had mounted the solar panel directly, it would have put a bending strain on it and possibly cracked in. I used 1/4" wood slices to make up the difference. I also bought rubber sheets (8"x 8") from Ace Hardware to place under the "feet" . The kit gives you everything you need except the 12v battery to which you connect. Please note that you connect the battery to the controller first. I use my truck in Search and Rescue support, as a radio relay. This solar panel will help greatly in not running down my battery. We found out a lot of the products claiming to be the best for this type of flooring, actually makes them cloudy and discolored looking. When that happens, you have to strip the floor, reseal it, and then the floor is never the same. Recently we ran out of the Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner and happened to get the new and improved version. Don't waste your money! It streaks and leaves a sticky film and the With the new and improved formula, the floor is no longer shiny. It is now dull and shows prints. The old stuff worked great! With the new and improved formula you are to use a damp mop which gets the floor too wet no matter how much you wring out the Bona microfiber mop, plus it still leaves the floor dull, streaked and sticky. Recently I have had an opportunity to use the Method Wood Floor Cleaner. I was quite curious about how it will work if I won’t use bucket with water and just squirt the cleaner and mop. However, very soon I realised that it would not be that easy in the house with two very active young children who use the floors for frequent play and various art play activities. Just squirting and moping only worked once I hoovered the floor first to get rid of all small pieces of build up dust, play dough, sticky snacks crumbs. Even then I felt that the bucket with water is needed to rinse the mop regularly during the cleaning otherwise the small wet dust and dirt pieces stayed on the floor as the mop couldn’t keep them all for the time of cleaning the whole floor. The other issue is that our wooden floor (panels) did not have shine that I was expecting, and afterwards it felt a bit sticky with visible residue. It might be due to a type of the floor so perhaps it gives better effects on another type of wooden floor than the one I have. The scent is lovely and subtle, it stays for some time, but it is not disturbing especially when using it in the bedroom or in the room where children sleep. The bottle is very user friendly although the opening could have been more child-proof. A huge pro is that the cleaner is non-toxic and biodegradable, does not leave any hazardous residues which is very important to me because it is safe in an environment where my children sleep or play on the floor. Furthermore, the package is 100% recycled plastic bottle which it makes it even more environmentally friendly. Overall, the cleaner definitely has many good sides and it is an interesting design both the package and also as a new way of cleaning the floors (at least new method for me who have mostly relied on a bucket and water with diluted cleaner inside) however it has not been as effective and practical as I have hoped in a house with a very young, actively playing children.MichaelaJ

I have only used this once so far but I am giving it 5 stars! I was looking for a floor cleaner to wash my laminate flooring that was quick & easy! This was it! I would spray a small area and then wipe with my microfibre mop! All the foot prints all my floor finally disappeared. I have used SEVERAL of AspenClean's products… I love that they are clean and are EWG approved. I know I'm not adding toxic chemicals to my house while trying to clean it. The floor cleaner did not dissapoint – leaves my laminate floors nice and shiny without a strong smell or residue. One warning – a little goes a long way! It gets too sudsy if you use too much… but the way I look at it, that's a good thing… you are getting a LOT for your money!! 🙂Heidi M.

This floor cleaner cleans and shines my ceramic tile flooring beautifully with no residue. Most importantly, safe for my four dogs. I use for weekly cleanings and daily touch ups. However, I'm very disappointed the "Directions For Use" was not shown on the website prior to purchase. Later learned, when you make a bottle from this concentrate, that mixture must be used within 24 hours. Not interested in making a small bottle everyday for my minimal daily use and hope not to waste as well. I highly recommend the non-concentrate floor cleaner formula (22 oz spray bottle), although not as cost effective.Renee
