I have owned two of these exact same models. Why? Because I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my hair when using this hot-air roller brush! My hair was shiny, full, beautifully wavy, soft – ALL GOOD! The downside and the real disappointment was in very short order, the brush would no longer spin even though it continued to emit heat. I loved how the brush managed my hair so much, I thought maybe the first one was a "lemon" and right away, I bought another to replace the first one. The same thing happened with the second one! And rapidly! No long term use before failure on both brushes. I still have the second brush and look at it longingly willing it to work, but alas, that is just not going to happen! I love what this brush and blow out do to my hair. But I have thick hair and the bristles are very weak, which makes it very difficult to do more than small amongst of hair at a time. Also, there’s a gap between the brush attachment and the wand which frequently pulls my hair and twists it into a knot. I really wanted to love this blowdryer. I've been looking for one with a spin brush because it is easier on my arms holding a dryer up. The heat power on this dryer is very weak even on high compared to my old trusted Revlon Spin Dryer brush that finally died. The brush is not removable which is another negative for me and takes more room when packing. And, I say it's poorly made as wow does it yank my hair which is painful. There is a space between the brush barrel and the end caps that catches my hair and pools it out. Big Ouch! By the time I finished drying my hair with this dryer I was amazed at the amount of hair stuck in this divide. I do not recommend this dryer until they make the blower stronger and correct the way it's made in the mold to fix this painful opening at either end of the barrel. As someone who has curly and thick hair, straightening it is the hardest part of getting ready even if I dried it with my blow drier before and it isn't as curly as it normally is. I bought this today when it caught my eye as I was leaving. I have been curious about these kinds of straighteners ever since that first video went viral. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Two or three passes done correctly and done! You do have to section your hair especially if it's thick but it leaves your hair much nicer than if you used a regular flat iron. Doesn't pull out that much hair, maybe three or four strands here or there, nothing you wouldn't lose with a flat iron. Doesn't take that long to heat up but follow the instructions for your hair type. All around a great product if you count in that it does the same thing those $80 or $90 brush straighteners do for a lower price. As with anything, following the instructions is key. Not recommend for oily hair and you CANNOT use any type of heat protector or any products (heat safe or not) in your hair with ANY of these straightening brushes on the current market. Trust me, I've tried all from the cheap brands to the expensive and they all work GREAT and last awhile when you DON'T add products or have very oily hair because they leave a residue that is very hard if not impossible to fully clean off these things! Even if it looks clean it's still there! its a problem because then after use 2,3,4 etc times it smells, burns and causes it to overheat and damage your hair. Even more than other heated hair styling tools, your success with this one will depend on what type of hair you have and what your expectations are when styling your hair. My hair is neither curly nor straight, just mildly poofy and a bit frizzy – without heat, it falls into a weird unattractive pageboy type style so on days I don't style my hair with a heated tool, I pull it into a ponytail. Using the heated straightening brush styles my hair just barely enough that I can avoid a ponytail and wear my shoulder length hair down without being annoyed by it every time I pass a mirror. I had the Profecter Styler (by Calista Tools) prior to this styler which is the exact same product for half the cost. After 5 years, my Profector styler stopped working. I started searching on the internet immediately and found this one and decided to try it. I was able to purchase this product in person the next day which was great as I depend on this type of a styler for my hair. I am in my late fifties and have always had baby fine hair. My hair length is between my chin and shoulders. I usually flip my hair at the ends which is a very good style for me. This styler works GREAT for this.Carla
I have curly/wavy thick hair. Depending on the humidity levels and how much or which shampoo and conditioner I used and how much oil I had in my hair before I washed them (many variables in short) my hair can be very curly with tight ringlets or more towards wavy side. I should mention the use of dryer makes them very frizzy and they are frizzy to being with, so I let my hair air dry. So its unpredictable result after letting my hair air dry for 3 to 4 hours. I can use my ceramic straightener and it works wonders on my hair, but like dryer it also takes at least 30 minutes for the length and amount of hair I have. However I get bored with the simple straight hair after a while as well. And they are rare days my hair dries wavy it looks good on me as well. I had not found a way to consistently achieve that kind of hair with waves but no tight curls making hair look less shiny and not well kept. So what I needed was a softer heat that would get rid of the tighter curls but not make it completely straight. Also with the straightener I have to spend 30 minutes once I start, with this I can customize depending on how much smoothing out I need and how much time I have. I just love the output after I use this. It keeps the natural volume my hair has compared to the straightener that gets rid it. It does not look like I have done anything specially, any heat treatment, it looks like my natural wavy, voluminous, air dried hair. Also with less heat, I am causing less damage. So if you are somewhat similar to me, need more of a smoother than a straightener or curler and don't want to spend hours on drying and curling or straightening then this is your product. I have fine hair and usually would stick it up to 'style' it. However, it was getting damaged, so I got it cut short, and then had two problems – one, I didn't want to wash it every day, but it looked horrible otherwise; and two, curling irons and rollers are not for me (I travel too much and my scalp burns too easily). Great value!!! If you cannot afford the Dyson air wrap , this brush can basically give you the same results for less than $20. It works best on dry hair or at least 80-90% dry so to prevent extra heat damage. Yes, the hair gets tangled. The directions say: “Release curls by placing the finger of one hand on the cool tip and pressing the rotate barrel button with the other hand. Be sure to let the cool tip rotate while you press the button.” This gave me the impression that the barrel rotates. Silly me. The barrel did not rotate. I called the company and was told that it does not rotate, but it just loosens and lets you pull the brush out. It does NOT loosen. It actually pulls out any curt and lift that I managed to get in. It does not seem to have much drying power. The barrel gets hot, but there isn’t enough air blowing to dry my hair. My old 300W Conair does a much better job but the barrel is too big for my newly shortened hair. I’d still be using it if the smaller brush hadn’t gotten lost in my recent move. Since I bought the Revlon for the smaller brush rotating brush, it's going back today. Additionally, the Revlon Perfect Heat 300W Hot Air Styler and Dryer is marked 500W. I will then work my way to lifting my head back up, so I can start lifting my hair at the roots slowly upwards just a little, on the top, to give my hair a fuller, more lifted, boost, all over the crown of my head from the roots! I was really excited to try this out…my hair is fine and flat, the length falling past my shoulders. My first use was using it on my dry hair. I liked how it curled the ends under. The second time I tried it with semi wet hair following the instructions. It does take some getting used to…with the rolling direction, but other than that it is pretty self explanatory…however I did not find it gave me very much volume. I felt like using my round brush and blow dryer did the same effect. I will be keeping the product because it did make my hair softer than what blow drying would achieve. I am interested to see how it works in the summer when frizz is at its highest. Also, I tried both times not using any product in my hair. I am going to keep at it and add some volumizing products to see what results come from that. Unless my hair gets a lot more volume when using this with products, I may feel it is a little over priced.Danielle
I have tried various brush dryers and this one is pretty much perfect for my thin shoulder length hair. I use the smaller brush for more volume and haven’t even used the spin feature yet. Other products are way too hot but this high heat is fine. I can’t wait to experiment with the spinning!
I didn’t want plastic bristles because they pull my hair so I got this one. The bristles are soft unfortunately too soft. It doesn’t really grip the hair and style it. It just kind of very softly brushed. The turning feature is scary. It goes both directions and is easy to hit the wrong button. I do like this over all but not exactly what I hoped for. I would love a stiffer bristle head if they come out with one.Charles

I love it! I have very thick curly hair. It usually takes me 1 1/2 hours to straighten it with a standard straight iron and this tool cut the time in half. Im usually fighting with a comb and having to lay the straightener down while I pick up the comb to comb it. Its a battle. This product solved my problem. The only drawback is my bangs are very short and it doesnt work with short hair. Will have to use old straightener till they grow out then into the recycling bin with the old. I love this dryer and use it often but it does get really hot. Like super hot! I have to be careful about how high the setting is because it will fry your hair if it’s set too high. After using it I have to lay it carefully down as to not let it burn anything touching it. That’s how hot it gets. I do love the power of it tho and how easy it makes my blow-outs. Worth a shot.

This particular brush came with two different size of ones. However, the sizing can be a little disillusioning as far as the results. Since my hair is short, I need an even smaller brush, because this one does not allow me to add any curls or waves. But it does give a good lift and a beautiful finish. I just wish they would make this with an even smaller wand, then it would be absolutely perfect! If you have medium or longer hair, you will not be disappointed in any way. So..I am biracial. I usually use a flat iron to straighten my hair which requires me to stand in front of the mirror for about 45 minutes. My hair is down to my waist. I used this product while watching tv. Sitting on my couch. Although I do not feel that it straightens as well as a flat iron, I will say Im happy with this purchase. Takes about the same time but with much less effort. I literally just brushed my hair. Its straight, but lighter and with more volume than with a flat iron, I dont feel the ends are as straight as I would like, but I do believe that by the time I tie my hair up for the night when I awake I will see no difference between the brush and the flat iron. I wanted to try this out and see if it was up to the hype!! However it is not going to work for me for two main reasons. Main reason is that it is WAY too loud. I read reviews that said it was equally as loud as a blow dryer, but I 100% disagree with that. It is louder than any blow dryer I have ever used, including the one I use currently which is a Hot Tools brand blow dryer. This dry brush had a much higher pitched and much louder sound that was just unbearable. The second thing I disliked about it was that it offers less control than a traditional method of round brush and blow dryer. With the traditional method of a blow dryer and a brush, you have the ability to point the blow dryer in the direction you want the heat and air to go, so you can strategically point it downwards on the hair shaft, making the hair look smooth. With this dry brush you do not have that ability as the air just blows out of the brush. So for someone like me with fine/wavy hair that is prone to fly-aways and frizz, not being able to blow the hair downwards on the hair shaft left my hair looking frizzy with lots of fly-aways at the top of the head, and just an overall less smooth look than I can achieve with a blow dryer and brush. This product might be an option for someone who isn't able to use the blow dryer with a brush, but it is not an ideal option for someone who had the ability to do a blow out the traditional way, in my opinion.Beauty Lover
This is a game changer and my ends look amazing. I dry my hair upside down for volume with my regualr dryer. Use my round brush – not dryer- for the top, sides and back of my head by rolling it and letting it sit for a minute, only 4 rolls total (kinda like a large roller). Then I use the round dryer brush for my ends and smoothing out. Makes it so, so quick. Do not put on the highest setting because its too hot. Use dryer spray before drying to protect your ends! I had never used a volumizer before and mostly let my highlighted, curly, frizzy hair dry naturally first and then would use a flat iron to straighten. Not only did this take a lot of time, but I noticed over the years that my hair still looked slightly frizzy after using the flat iron, so I thought I would give this volumizer a try. The first time I had trouble with drying and it didn't seem to work well. The next time I let my hair dry a little bit first naturally so it wasn't soaking wet, but still very damp. I held the tool and brushed outward away from my head and put on low heat. It worked perfectly! Straighten my hair and gave it bounce and volume that I didn't get with my flat iron. I then put it on high and did the top layer of my head and it took away the frizz. The third time I used it, it took me 15 minutes from start to finish! That's less than half the time + that it would take me to flat iron my hair. And my hair looked way better!! It had volume and a slight curl at the ends. Yes, it is awkward to use due to the size, but give it some time and multiple tries and it does get easier to use. I am so glad I didn't give up on it after the first couple of uses. It doesn't make ear shattering noise, no more than a normal blow dryer, and when used on low heat it's less noisy. I got this Volumizer because my blow dryer went kaput, and I wanted a dryer that wouldn’t make me look like I had gone out in a wind storm. This volumizer definitely works! I felt like it made my hair look thicker but at the same time smooth after I washed. I did towel dry my hair before I used it, as suggested in the booklet. It didn’t dry my hair any faster than a regular dryer, so if your concern is speed, you would need something else. However, it doesn’t do too bad if you want to smooth your hair as you colonize. I like the fact that you can remove the brush attachment to clean and I used it briefly without to dry my hair some at the roots before I did the rest. The temp settings are nice too, if you don’t want high heat or you have thinner hair, in which lower heat is probably better, and the cool setting is also nice if you don’t need heat. I used the plastic sleeve to cover the brush part back after it cooled to protect it until next time. Overall, a great product, and affordable.NolaF
I was given this to review by TryIt Sampling. Very nice little hairdryer. The attached brush makes it easy to blow dry your hair. However this is not for short hair. I have super short hair and I found it not to be helpful at all when the brush was attached. So I remove the brush and use just the dryer part and I got very nice results as well dried it fast and didn’t get too hot as I did not put it on the hot setting. So I let my daughter use it who has not quite shoulder length hair and she found it to be a very nice hair dryer as well. Although when the hair is really wet after a shower it does take longer to use this dryer. She found she used her prior hairdryer to dry the hair to just damp and then she would finish it with this hairdryer using the attached brush. She really liked the ease of use. How nicely it fit in her hand it was not awkward at all. It made the hair smooth and shiny. Not frizzy at all. She then tried it on my granddaughter who has just longer than shoulder length hair. Once again,It took longer to dry the hair using just this hairdryer but it really made a huge difference in her hair. It smoothed it down and made it soft and shiny. And it flipped the ends and made them bouncy and curly. It Gave her hair a whole new look. My granddaughter was extremely happy with the look when she was done. They have been using this study since I have gave it to them to use. It has 4 settings: high, med, low and cool. The medium setting we found to be the best. The brush attachment locks in place and it shows and unlock using paddle lock icons. It is matte black With red accents. Very pleasing to the eye. All in all this is a very nice little hairdryer. This is a great blow dryer for those who want smooth looks with volume. It is easy to grasp and hold while using and doesn't bother my wrists or hands, and is not heavy. It has several heat modes so you can choose according to your hair needs. I use the medium setting for my fine hair. I section my hair and use the dryer on those parts, working my way up. It takes little time to dry, as the brush lifts and separates your hair. You can go under the hair like I do, for volume, or for smoothing just brush it down on the hair strands. It can get quite hot, so be careful with your fingers. I can dry my hair much quicker with this dryer by taking sections, compared to a normal blow dryer and brush routine. It cools quickly so that I'm able to put it away when I'm done with my makeup. I use a flat iron to finish up, but normally it is just minimal, because the blow dryer does such a great job. I would recommend this for anyone who wants smoother hair. My hair is pretty straight, so I don't know how it works with someone with some curl. I can set it on the low setting to dry my bangs slowly, so I can get them where I want them. I would definitely recommend this dryer over some others that I have had. I have been pleasantly surprised by this smoothing hot brush. I have very straight, fine hair, but quite a bit of it. I usually run a flat iron over it to smooth it, but with this brush, I can skip the flat iron. It takes some practice to get the ends of the hair through the brush but once you find your technique, it's super easy! The brush heats up super fast and has three settings ranging from 356 to 400 (yeah…not 350…but 356 it says in the paperwork). My hair looks a little fuller using this brush since it doesn't flatten as much as the flat iron…if that makes sense. I'm a fan!Cassie

I bought this due to its similarities to the Dyson Airwrap for a fraction of the price. I have very long and thick hair and the blow-dry and brush attachments worked really well. They left my hair very nice and soft in under 20 minutes! However, the curling attachment does not work at all. It gets too hot and its impossible to keep close to the scalp due to the extreme heat. Also because it's so hot you can't feel if the hair is still wet when drying it and most of the time the curl doesn't hold. If you're wanting this for the curling attachment I don't think it's worth it, however if you want it for the others then it works well for the price.arifuertes

I thought this was supposed to be a hair dryer… the air flow is SO LOW. Even on the high setting. And the bristles are way too soft. Like newborn baby hair brush bristles. It just glides over the top of your hair without really brushing your hair at all. And because the air blow is so low, it doesn't even dry the middle part of your hair. So you have to use ridiculously small sections if you want your hair to even dry a little bit. I gave up and just let my little sister's hair air dry instead. It may work for you if you have very thin hair. but if you have thick hair, this blow dryer is an absolute NO. Returning it to the store today.

Bottom line is this brush gets the job done. While it doesn't get my hair perfectly straight, I can finish with a few swipes of my flat iron if I want pin straight hair. Otherwise, it gets my hair to an acceptable level of straightness. It saved me blow drying time and shorten the length of time my hair is exposed to heat. I have super stubborn curly hair that used to take me over an hour to straighten by blow drying with a round brush and then flat iron. Now it takes me 30 minutes from dripping wet hair to acceptably straight hair. My only complaint is the bristles on the brush is pretty sparse so the grip isn't as great as a normal round brush.
Have been using the Revlon blowdry brysh for 2yrs, had to replace it, because the short bristles where all matted. I never got the result from it that i desired. Hair was smooth, but always flat. Even with a sculpting gel. Decided on this one, have only used it once, but im loving the results, my hair had volume & body, I was thrilled, even got some curl back on the ends. Did take longer to dry tho, I used a few sprays of flat iron protrctant, & my sculpting gel. I started off on low heat, then used high toward the end. Tool is very light weight, & way less noisy. Mayb I did the heat backwards, but it def worked for me. As for how long it will last, I couldnt say just yet. But as many others have stated, I too will b buying a back up one just in case. I got my hair confidence back after just one use. Looked very close to the salon blowout, tht my hair stylist does & withought the fuss. I am sadly inept to the brush & blow dryer skill. I slept on my hair last nite, & today it still looks good. So all in all im happy I tried it. Would hve given 5 stars if a 1&1/2 barrel was an option. My hair is down past my shoulders. Don’t waste your time buying this. The first one I bought lasted for several years. I loved it so much so of course I replaced it with the same. But it only lasted 13 months and was no longer under warranty. Again I loved it so I thought it was just a lemon so I purchased another. Only lasted for 6 months, bought another and lasted for 4 months and I only use it 3 times a week. And they want you to pay to ship it to them and send them $5 to pay for them to ship it back. I can’t get Customer Service to look into why this is happening. I haven’t been able to find another styling product like this. Has anyone else found one???

As someone who has curly and thick hair, straightening it is the hardest part of getting ready even if I dried it with my blow drier before and it isn't as curly as it normally is. I bought this today when it caught my eye as I was leaving. I have been curious about these kinds of straighteners ever since that first video went viral. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. Two or three passes done correctly and done! You do have to section your hair especially if it's thick but it leaves your hair much nicer than if you used a regular flat iron. Doesn't pull out that much hair, maybe three or four strands here or there, nothing you wouldn't lose with a flat iron. Doesn't take that long to heat up but follow the instructions for your hair type. All around a great product if you count in that it does the same thing those $80 or $90 brush straighteners do for a lower price. As with anything, following the instructions is key. Not recommend for oily hair and you CANNOT use any type of heat protector or any products (heat safe or not) in your hair with ANY of these straightening brushes on the current market. Trust me, I've tried all from the cheap brands to the expensive and they all work GREAT and last awhile when you DON'T add products or have very oily hair because they leave a residue that is very hard if not impossible to fully clean off these things! Even if it looks clean it's still there! its a problem because then after use 2,3,4 etc times it smells, burns and causes it to overheat and damage your hair. The whole point of this is to do little to no damage to your hair but still have similar results that of a flat iron. It also doesn't get down to the roots of curly/very curly hair or thick. So if you need to use products better off with straightening COMB(easier to clean and gets roots) or regular flat iron.usvanes.3xbgdji6x
Hair tools are one key thing when trying to grow or manage your hair, the wrong tools can hinder most of the progress you are seeking to make. Now if you have soft silky hair, hair management is so easy peasy for you. Great for you, we love you too but we with thick or coarse hair want at the very least to have worthy tools for our battle with the hair. Being black, I have very thick tight;y curled hair, so straightening it takes hours. The thought of just running a brush through my hair and having it all straightened is so drool worthy. The only down side is the limit of its temp setting, if it could go higher, meaning faster straightening for really curly hair. It took some time but it did straighten my hair, without me spending back breaking hours, sectioning and straightening my hair. All it took was slow even brush strokes, through my mane and little by little I saw it straightening my tightly curled hair. Another flaw for me is in its design, that being the position of the control buttons. The buttons being by the side on the grip handle, means that every time you apply pressure to drag the brush through thick hair your fingers will be hitting the controls. messing with the temp settings. With that being said this is worth the buy. This brush has been a worthy addition to my arsenal, its design and function means better control over the mane. Trust me taming the 'Fro' is no easy task and any brush that can tangle with mine and not limp out a broken sordid mess is worth a mention. Its rounded red rubber tips make for great heat protection and massaging of the scalp that helps circulation and hair growth.nkiru.o

I bought this hot air brush to replace a different brand which was getting too hot. My hair is thin and the slightly lower heat on this brush works great without burning my scalp. There are two negatives. First, the handle is a little too wide to maneuver easily. Second, it sometimes is hard to let go of my hair after several seconds of curling. I imagine someone with thicker hair would have a very difficult time releasing the curl.Janet M.
I bought this and after 6 months of using it consistantly the attachment started to become loose. This might be because I dropped it a few times putting it down to go to the next section. I still use it without attachments and it works as a normal dryer but I am about to buy another one because with the attachments would dry my hair in less than 10 minutes. I want the dyson but girl 500 vs 40 is a no brainer. If the attachments do it again I may consider saving up for the dyson.
