Best Hydrating Serum For Oily Skin (2024 Update)

This is a nice serum. I only use it at night time, but have noticed a difference since I started adding it to my nighttime routine. When I wake up in the morning I notice that old spots have gone down and my overall skin texture has started to smooth out. My skin just looks bright in the morning compared to dull and just blah without this in my routine. I also use this on my neck at night. My neck had two discolored lines and they’ve gone down and overall smoothed out. The texture on my neck has dramatically smoothed out and I think a lot has to do with this serum. I use the brightening toner in the morning and this serum at night. I don’t put any other stuff on my neck other than my cleanser and moisturizer so I know my results are mainly from adding niacinamide. My neck looks like more of a match to my face, and when you’re aging like me matching my neck to my face is a good thing. Before I incorporated this to my routine my neck started showing pretty decent signs of aging. It was also discolored from left over tans in the past. So it helped make things more even. Overall I’m happy with this product, I personally haven’t had any negative reaction to it. I will probably repurchase when I’m out, but a little goes a long way so it’ll be awhile.Kyle A.

I wish I’d taken before photos to compare. Always cleansed and moisturised my skin with decent quality products but in January my skin was making me look old, it was dull and I was constantly battling texture, clogged pores on nose and build up of rough surface layer that looked dreadful under makeup. Now use a range of good molecules products and my skin looks smoother, brighter and more youthful. I’m not needing to rely on harsh physical exfoliants either. Started with niacinamide and once I knew my skin tolerates it I added the gentle retinol cream. These both improved my skin, recently added the pineapple exfoliating powder and vitamin C powder which further improved my skin. Squalane oil is nice to layer on afterwards to soothe skin. Does require research/reading info to check which products you can use together though but totally worth it.CC

I'm very weary about trying out new skincare products after having dealt with hormonal and cystic acne from the ages of 16-20. By 20, I received a medical diagnosis that explained why my skin got the way it got, and with treatment for said diagnosis, my skin has been doing really well ever since. I have been left with acne scars (ice pick scars) that have smoothed out naturally over time and lots of aloe vera, but was ready to try something new. THIS PRODUCT completely changed the game for me!! My skin was smooth the NEXT day, and using it twice a day as instructed made a very noticeable difference after four days of use. I am on my second bottle of this very light serum. When I bought it for the first time I did not like that it seems to be oil serum, as I am not fan of oils, but once you apply it it absorbs quickly and does not leave any oily residue or feeling on the skin. This is a serum but sometimes, when my skin is a bit oilier or during heat waves in Summer I use it as a moisturizer together with another lightweight serum to add that bit of hydration without too much product on my face. It smells lovely (not like fragance) and feels even better. Does not offer miracles, just a soft, light bit of hydration that soothes the skin. I have combination skin that is prone to sensitivity. I have an oily t-zone that is prone to breakouts and feels uneven to touch. My cheeks have a tendency to be dry and dehydrated. I bought this serum as it was oil free And hydrating. Initially, I started placing it all over my face. My cheeks soon became very sensitive and red from using it. I found it was stripping the natural oils from my face causing my cheeks to become very sensitive and dry. I therefore stopped using it on my whole face and now only use it on my oily t-zone. It has worked wonders on my t-Zone. My forehead has never been so clear and smooth and my make up glides on smoothly for the first time ever. I would definitely recommend it if you have oily skin. I have combination skin, which was particularly oily around the t-zone. I would find my make up melting off my shiny nose and I couldn't find anything that helped. When I discovered Aesop I was desperate to try just for the smell alone, but was hesitant because of the price. One day I bit the bullet and treated myself to a bottle of the Lightweight Facial Hydrating Serum and have never looked back. It has changed my skin no end, the oiliness has reduced significantly and I often get comments on how well my skin looks (especially for my age – mid 30's). On top of that it smells incredible, and you only need a little so the bottle lasts around 6 months making the price far less daunting – especially if you buy it with one of Look Fantastic's brilliant discounts. I got this last year during the Fresh sale, and the bottle lasted about four months! During that time, my skin took on a softer, bouncier texture and feel. I also had some various Fresh samples that I used with this, and I loved them all! This product, though, I feel is the base for all the other wonderful creams and products from Fresh, and is my absolute favorite. I’ve used this bottle all through this winter so far, and I have not had any rashes from allergic reactions, and I believe it even protected my face from winter skin and windburn during a recent weeklong trip to Chicago that saw single digit temps! I pat it onto my face, neck, and décolletage after a shower, then follow with with Fresh’s Lotus Youth Preserve Night Recovery Cream, and Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate. Just bought this yesterday from Sephora. Had high hopes due to the great reviews of this product and it lives up the the hype! I used the sugar scrub, rose face mask, rose toner, this serum and the deep hydration sleeping mask and Omg this morning my skin looks so glowy, hydrated and supple!!!As soon as I washed my face after using the sugar scrub and rose face mask, my skin was glowing like never before. As soon as I applied the rose toner and this oil infused serum, my face was glowing and was so supple.I definitely recommend this serum and also other best sellers from the ROSE line in this brand. This is my first time using the Fresh brand as it is quite expensive but well worth the price. Invest in this and you will never regret especially if you have dry, dehydrated skin. I absolutely LIVE for this serum! It’s very liquidy… In fact i didn’t even realize it was a serum, i had thought it was more like an essence. But it is very moisturizing and leaves a soft healthy glow and skin just feeling good! I have combo skin but this winter i’ve been dryyyy and pores went crazy and this always has my skin looking Fresh (pun intended lol). This is one of those products where you might forget that you put it in or you’re not really thinking about your skin until you glance at a mirror and go DANG i’m having a good skin day! & then remember you added this bad boy to your regiment. This serum is fantastic! It absorbs quickly and very light. I have used it for nearly two months and my face is hydrated, smooth, and my pores seem smaller. A little goes a long way. I have stopped using expensive youth serums because of this product. I use it morning/night on clean skin. In the morning I use a tinted spf moisturizer over it and my make-up applies smooth. I even apply it over my lips which helps hydrate before applying lipstick or gloss! Def try it, you won't regret it!! 🤩laney74

Five out of the six facial products I use are CeraVe. I've been using this product for about a month now. When I was first looking for an Hyaluronic product, I of course looked to CeraVe first. I was disappointed that I couldn't find the percentage of Hyaluronic Acid on the package or anywhere. I looked under the questions section on Amazon and everyone said that CeraVe doesn't give out proprietary ingredient info. I can understand that, however, I don't think the main ingredient, in this case Hyaluronic acid, to be part of a proprietary blend and inhibits consumers from making informed decisions about what products they are buying. Other companies list the amount of it on their labels….this has left a bad taste in my mouth and now I'm questioning my continued use of CeraVe products. L'Oréal Revitalift has no problem stating their percentage..1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid. I will stop using the CeraVe and purchase the Revitalift, since I know what I'm am purchasing. Maybe CeraVe has a higer concentration, but since I don't know, I'll have to go with what I do know. Here's what worked for me. At night, wash face, apply exfoliant/toner. Let that dry down completely. Mist face with water (I use a simple blue glass bottle with a pump spray top–got it off Amazon. Only mist lightly.). Then apply two pumps of the HA serum. Let that dry down thoroughly before adding the night cream. (It seems like using minimal product–just 2 pumps–also helped combat pilling. I like this. It lessened the pilling, and the bottle lasted longer.) YMMV, but letting ALL of the products dry down and settle in, plus lightly misting with water, AND only applying 2 pumps helped me with the pilling. So did using the serum at night vs. daytime. I'm very happy with the results from the serum. 50 y/o, slightly oily complexion, some dry spots, tend to get clogged pores; tried this serum to stop looking like a ghoul during Zoom meetings. I'm very happy with the results, and will continue to use this one. I bought this after reading that this acid could hydrate better than HA, and at the time, my skin was seeming a bit dry using HA and moisturizer. I’ve been dealing with horrible skin (dryness, acne breakouts everywhere, hyperpigmentation) for a few months now, and I’ve been using this product the whole time. I didn’t always have such bad skin using it though. Then, when I ran out of it a few weeks ago, my skin cleared up. A lot. I used it for so long, and I didn’t think that could be a contributing factor, but now I’m led to believe that it perhaps played a part, as well as stress and terrible sleep. I bought this after seeing it be used on tiktok and I am so glad I did. I have dry skin that get oily without intense moisture. Typical HA wasn’t working well for me. Then I found this product and paired it with the inky list water cream. I use the polyglutamic acid and water cream after an active like aha or lactic acid and the combination of these three products have given me glass skin. I am convinced though that the polyglutamic acid is the game changer for me. My skin is thriving because of this product. I can’t recommend it enough for people with my skin type! This is the BEST face product I own…at first I thought “oh boy it’s going to be oily”, not at all. It nourishes your skin. Dries up making you so dang soft! Also don’t forget the neck…You only need a small pea size amount..it literally heals your face. There is seriously NO OTHER Hyaloronic acid serum like this…. I switch back and fourth at night with propolis and there’s suck. Big difference in the morning in the moisture level and appearance of my skin… it’s crazy. Some people say this is too scented which is insaine to me because all the fragrances are natural fragrance and this one in particular is extremely light and fresh, I honestly don’t smell anything exept freshness and I love it. I love finding such good products but at the same time I’ll never be able to use a different one because no others come close to the benefits of this serum. It’s perfect if your a minimalist and still want that glow. Plum plump will give you everything you want. Hydration, plumped lines, a smooth glow and firm clear skin. Immediately after using the product, I broke out on my cheeks. It felt like my skin was burning, too. I thought perhaps it was contact dermatitis with a blanket that had softener on it or something since softeners irritate my skin (albeit I never experienced burning sensations with softener), but after trying this product day & night for 2-3 days, I confirmed it was the serum. My skin is still recovering from the marks of using this product around December 16th. Thankfully it’s not too bad now. This product may be for you, but it wasn’t for me; it’s also the first Hyaluronic serum I’ve tried so I think I’m just going to stay away from those. This was the only Glow Recipe product that made me have such a reaction. I give it 2-stars for packaging, smell, & consistency. subtly brightens skin because of the kakudu plum, something that isn't advertised but welcomed. a decent hyaluronic acid serum, can be sticky. best application is to apply it to a damp face, then allow a minute or 2 for the product to mesh with the water on the skin. then massage the product onto the skin until almost dry. and then spray face with a hydrator (water is fine). water another 2 minutes before massaging the product into the skin again and following with a moisturizer. i find that using an occlusive product (like a face oil) helps to reduce the stickyness. once the products have fully absorbed into the skin (which for me is about an hour) – skin looks bright and plump. it is a bit expensive for a brightening hyaluronic acid serum but it does work. it's also safe for fungal acne prone skin!kajalkumar

Was so excited to receive this La Roche-Posay Effaclar Salicylic Acid Serum from La Roche-Posay and Influenster last week! I've *always* had acne prone skin – even now in my 30s – and uneven texture, so Salicylic Acid is a regular part of my routine. This serum goes on super smoothly from its glass dropper (bonus for ensuring sanitary application!) and glides on your skin. It has a very nice, even texture – a little goes a long way! I've only been using this for about a week now, but have noticed improved texture and clearing breakouts in my chin area! The best part is that it doesn't leave my skin feeling super dry or stripped of oils – just clean, even, and fresh. I'll definitely keep using this to see if it continues to improve my skin. Wow such a nice serum. I've heard so many good things about la roche posay ive only been able to try a couple things so far but everything they make is so good and so good for your skin. I will always trust every product this brand makes. But this serum is really nice it's not just a Salycilic Acid Serum for acne and breakouts it also has glycolic acid and Niacinimide in it. I do a nightly skincare rotation throughout the week. 1st night exfoliants 2nd night retinol 3rd 4th night recovery w/ just Hyaluronic acid. I've added this serum into my exfoliant night routine and it's perfect just what I was missing because I still get random breakouts here and there so the Salycilic Acid helps with that and the Niacinimide and glycolic acid for exfoliating, resurfacing brightening. It also feels so smooth going on and absorbs nicely. Just perfect perfect perfect a really great serum i absolutely love itleann.w

I was excited to receive this product from La Roche-Posay, a brand I love. I do have hormonal acne, so I thought I might be a good candidate for this product. However, I think the active ingredients in this product were a bit too strong to incorporate into my existing skincare routine. I also use a retinoid, and I think the addition of this glycolic acid in this product was just too irritating for my skin. I think if you’re looking to try a new product for acne, this is a great place to start, as the ingredients are effective for many people (BHA, AHA, niacinamide). However, I prefer to use my retinoid and in combination with this, it was too irritating on my dry skin. I used the Effaclar SA Serum for over a week, replacing my retinoid, and I noticed I had a bit more acne than usual, which could have been purging, but I did not notice any existing spots faded. The texture of this product was a bit gooey/sticky. I think this product has great potential, but unfortunately, just wasn’t good for my specific skin type and existing routine.shelby.c

For the first two weeks of using the Glass skin series, I had the most radiant skin of my life – my skin has been clear for years, thanks to Korean Skin care & a clean diet, but the Glass skin brought out a gorgeous otherworldliness. And then… the cystic acne. And cluster acne. Aiee…. I really want to love this stuff, and I've read that the acne can happen because of the greater cell turnover due to the hyaluronic acid, so I'm now experimenting with steaming my face nightly, and have also moved down from two pumps of the glass skin serum morning & night (to my face and neck) to just one pump at night, mixed with organic argan oil. Then I apply the Matcha cream. (And on top of that, if I think a little more moisture might help, I put on some Cerave, just because it's less speedy.) It's possible this might help… TBD! I bought this on a whim back in May because I was in the market for a serum, I love K-beauty, and had heard good things about this brand. I went all in on the regular sized bottle despite the price and I'm so glad I did. This stuff has transformed my skin so much. I'm extremely pale and prone to redness and uneven skin tone/texture but ever since I started using this regularly every night before bed, my skin has looked 100x more even, softer/smoother, and it just has this lovely glow that I never had before. I hardly feel the need to use much if any concealer/foundation anymore because my skin just looks that good. The texture of the product is smooth and feels really nice when applying. I just use a fingertip's worth on each section of my face; it doesn't take much so this bottle should last a while. I will say that I have found that my skin tends to get a little flaky the next morning if I don't follow this up with a moisturizer, so I would definitely recommend always moisturizing after or possibly staying away if you are prone to super dry skin. My skin is fairly normal so just a bit of moisturizer after application does the trick and keeps my glowy skin baby soft. As part of a solid routine, this stuff is amazing.Mikayla

This review has been a long time coming. I have been using this product since November of 2021. I cringe at the reviews for not giving a product ample amount of time to work. It's not a few time use to get the results, it's not instant. A lot of people were mentioning they break out and that's fair. But you need to realize your skin is purging the prior toxins. Skin regenerates, like your lashes shed. You can basically describe me as a skin cake junkie. Its done wonders on my skin in the past 8 months. Nowadays, I barely put any powder. It's leaves my skin a perfect foundation for primers to put on make up. When you're using a product with hyaluronic acid you need to add it to moist skin. (I didn't know that at first-research before your dump it) If you don't, it will dry out your skin (hence the break outs). I use this serum with the glass skin veil mist. When you put the two products together it is prime! You'll need to dab the serum on your skin until you get a slightly tacky texture. When you reach that point, then add your moisturizer. I have only used Caudalie Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum for a couple of weeks and am so excited to see results already. First, it is a pleasure to apply – it is incredibly lightweight, smells amazing, and doesn’t dry out my skin. Just the scent alone is energizing. I have combination/oily skin, with large pores on my nose and occasional breakouts around my chin. Already, my skin is clearer, with much fewer breakouts and diminished pores. I received this serum as a #freeproduct for an honest review. First, I think it's important to point out that I have dry, sensitive skin and not the combo/oily skin the product is aimed towards. With that said, there are ingredients in this line of skincare that people like me just should not use frequently. For instance, this serum contains BHA, which increases sun sensitivity, so wearing sunscreen – although recommended – should be a MUST! The Vinopure serum comes in nice packaging, which I appreciate. However, there is no cap to cover the dispenser top, which leaves it open to collecting undetectable dust, dirt, and bacteria. Next, the product is "fragrance free," but the scent is extremely strong. It has peppermint oil in it, which causes the strong smell. In addition to the smell, the peppermint oil along with alcohol leave my skin feeling tight and tingly. For me, the product makes my skin bright red from the tingling, and certain ingredients. That said, to protect my sensitive skin, I didn't use these products twice a day, everyday, or else my skin sensitivity would increase tenfold. I cannot speak for those with combination to oily skin & who don't have sensitive skin, but for me, I don't think this is a product I would use as often as it's recommended. About a month ago, I walked into Sephora with plans to buy a spot treatment, but met an employee with the same type of skin as me. They convinced me to do away with spot treatments, and instead use a serum that will help eliminate my acne and also keep my skin looking young and smooth. Spot treatments tend to be too trying for my combo skin, so this serum was a great substitute. After a month, I already see a huge improvement in my skin. My acne has lessened, and my skin is nice and soft. I see a lot of reviews about this product giving people more breakouts, but that happens to me whenever I try a new skin product (it’s just our skin adjusting). I noticed a few white heads appear after my first few days of using this, but they were completely gone after a week. If this happens to you, I highly encourage you to give this product a chance and wait at least one week before writing it off. It’s so worth it!!AlyssaMarieR21

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this product has completely transformed my skin. Since I was a teenager, I would suffer from acne and redness, mostly lots of small bumps (closed comedones) all over my forehead and around my nose. I've tried all sorts of products – lots of strong, drying cleansers, topical treatments, various exfoliators, but honestly just accepted that my skin wouldn't budge. After a few weeks of using this serum, my acne was significantly better. I've used this product twice a day for over a year, and I rarely get acne now, only small red splotches that often vanish overnight. My typical routine now is super simple and basically the same 2x a day; just the Cerave renewing SA cleanser, this TO Niacinamide, then a moisturizer & spf in the AM. I try to exfoliate twice a week, but even in weeks where I fall off this habit, my skin stays clear thanks to this serum. I almost never write reviews for products, but am writing this now so anyone with similar skin issues to me can give this serum a try! I had never tried other niacinamide products before this, so I imagine other niacinamide solutions would also work well for me – but this TO serum is so affordable, I don't plan on trying anything else any time soon.Jess

This serum has been an almost-miracle product for my sensitive, redness-prone, blemish-prone skin. My only qualm with it is that it SERIOUSLY STINGS if you apply it to any active breakouts or broken skin. My skin was in seriously terrible condition due to a Lupus flare and hormonal acne, but after everything healed, I have been able to use this without irritation, following it with the Hyaluronic Acid/B5 serum, Pycnogenol, and Marula Oil (or moisturizing factor lotion). It really has transformed the texture of my skin, to a more noticeable degree than most of The Ordinary's other products (besides the Alpha Lipoic Acid serum, which I miss so much). My pores are refined, especially on my forehead, nose, chin, and cheeks on either side of my nose. Once prone to being easily-inflamed, sensitive areas of my face are no longer red, and now look more smooth. Oily patches, especially my nose, are less-oily. I have fewer clogged pores and blackheads, and less blemishes from irritation. I purchased the 2oz bottle from The Ordinary's website, since I apply this to my chest, upper arms, and back as well, as I sometimes have breakouts from malassezia. It also quickly fades the purple/red post-blemish marks on my very fair skin. It does make my skin feel drier and tight if I don't moisturize thoroughly afterwards, especially during this part of the winter, so keep that in mind. The price also makes it easier to use it liberally where ever I need it. Other than the stinging, it's a fantastic serum for my very high-maintenance, 30-year-old skin.arh

I heard amazing things about this product and did some digging into all the great benefits niacinamide and zinc have for the skin, and it seemed like it would help target my main skin concerns! I was aware of the possibility that I may experience purging and that some people can have allergic reactions but it's incredibly rare to the point where many dermatologists will assume its not an allergy to niacinamide, rather another ingredient present in the product that the person reacted to. I knew niacinamide was meant to help with the skin barrier as well as brightening and texture improvement, all things I struggle with. I did a bit more digging and noticed that the tested amounts shown to be effective and safe for the skin range between 2-5%. To be clear, I'm not saying 10% is bad or dangerous, it's just not as tried and true as that 2-5% range that's been studied many times. Like all new products, I did a 48 hour patch test on my arm as directed by The Ordinary's guidelines, and had no issues. Before starting my routine I used their (very helpful!) resource for when and how often to use specific products and to only introduce one new product at a time to prevent irritation/negative effects. What I'm a little upset about, is the lack of easily accessible information about how this product can cause irritation (among other negative effects) for people with non-oily skin. After about a week of use (3 drops for face and neck), my cheeks became hard like rough leather… I also felt a burning sensation after each use, but really wanted to give it a chance and went back to the basics (cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen) and I still had issues and my skin continued to harden and dry up. I was frustrated and confused because I couldn't find answers as to why I was having such a strange reaction anytime I used this product. Eventually, after much digging, I discovered that this should not be used by those with dry skin, especially at such a high concentration of 10%. I still stand by niacinamide and zinc as skincare ingredients, they are excellent for your skins health and have really helped many people in their skincare journey. This can be a great option for those struggling with acne prone skin and textural irregularities (if you have an oilier skin type). I'm here because I don't want other people with similar skin types to mine to buy this and feel lost or confused if they have a bad reaction. It's not that your skin is being ridiculous or difficult, it just may be that the concentration is too high, or that niacinamide may not be something you use as an active/solo-ingredient in your daily/weekly skincare routine. I challenge The Ordinary to include a section under this product outlining that if you have dry skin, that this product may cause issues, or better yet, offer a niacinamide product formulated for people with dry and/or sensitive skin to increase inclusivity. All in all, I hope whoever chooses to read this lengthy review, that you feel more informed and empowered to make a confident decision for yourself. By no means do I dislike The Ordinary, I LOVE all the other products I have from them! I just wish I had been advised about the potential issues if you don't have more of an oily/combo skin type.MMB

This serum is fantastic! It absorbs quickly and very light. I have used it for nearly two months and my face is hydrated, smooth, and my pores seem smaller. A little goes a long way. I have stopped using expensive youth serums because of this product. I use it morning/night on clean skin. In the morning I use a tinted spf moisturizer over it and my make-up applies smooth. I even apply it over my lips which helps hydrate before applying lipstick or gloss! Def try it, you won't regret it!! 🤩laney74

Five out of the six facial products I use are CeraVe. I've been using this product for about a month now. When I was first looking for an Hyaluronic product, I of course looked to CeraVe first. I was disappointed that I couldn't find the percentage of Hyaluronic Acid on the package or anywhere. I looked under the questions section on Amazon and everyone said that CeraVe doesn't give out proprietary ingredient info. I can understand that, however, I don't think the main ingredient, in this case Hyaluronic acid, to be part of a proprietary blend and inhibits consumers from making informed decisions about what products they are buying. Other companies list the amount of it on their labels….this has left a bad taste in my mouth and now I'm questioning my continued use of CeraVe products. L'Oréal Revitalift has no problem stating their percentage..1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid. I will stop using the CeraVe and purchase the Revitalift, since I know what I'm am purchasing. Maybe CeraVe has a higer concentration, but since I don't know, I'll have to go with what I do know. Here's what worked for me. At night, wash face, apply exfoliant/toner. Let that dry down completely. Mist face with water (I use a simple blue glass bottle with a pump spray top–got it off Amazon. Only mist lightly.). Then apply two pumps of the HA serum. Let that dry down thoroughly before adding the night cream. (It seems like using minimal product–just 2 pumps–also helped combat pilling. I like this. It lessened the pilling, and the bottle lasted longer.) YMMV, but letting ALL of the products dry down and settle in, plus lightly misting with water, AND only applying 2 pumps helped me with the pilling. So did using the serum at night vs. daytime. I'm very happy with the results from the serum. 50 y/o, slightly oily complexion, some dry spots, tend to get clogged pores; tried this serum to stop looking like a ghoul during Zoom meetings. I'm very happy with the results, and will continue to use this one. I should have known this was going to be amazing. For 30 year I have always had oily/combo skin. I loved my natural oils but alas I took them for granted and age has stripped my former glow. Having never dealt with dry skin or flakey patches I didn't have any idea what products would work. I’ve been using this product since 2018 and it’s really the only hydrating serum I consistently repurchase. I have severe dry and dehydrated skin; even in the summer it cracks and peels off my nose. I apply this serum *nearly* every morning and night. It helps my skin looking fresh and hydrated throughout the day and the nightly application stops me from waking up crusty. I can tell when I haven’t used it in a bit because my skin will get that tight, fresh out of the shower feeling. This serum revives my skin almost instantly. I really love how this serum applies and makes my skin feel. It’s a pretty thick gel texture, but it sinks in easily and quickly. It has a bit of a cooling sensation and definitely makes my face feel hydrated. There are some superstar ingredients in here like colloidal oatmeal, green tea leaf extract, hyaluronic acid, and licorice root extract. This is a nice combination that helps keep the skin soothed, hydrated, strong, and acne-free. The only thing that gives me pause is that all these good ingredients come after the preservative phenoxyethanol on the ingredients list. Phenoxyethanol can only be used at a maximum concentration of 1%, so this means that everything that comes after it in the ingredients list comes in percentages of 1% or lower. I wonder how effective these ingredients are at such low doses. I know that some ingredients (like retinol) are very strong even at 1%, so there’s a chance that these other components are also powerful at low doses. I wish FAB would provide some information about that. Aside from that, I can’t think of anything negative about this product.natasha2

I have to say the reviews surprised me. I've been using this serum with my routine for 3 weeks now and can only say good things. My skin is very dry and dehydrated. I'm in my 40s with some old sun damage and fine lines and my goal was to help heal my pregnancy melasma and help texture and lines. I use a korean essense first, followed by this niacinamide serum, vitamin c serum, a moisturizing ceramide toner and a moisturizing sunscreen every day and use a peptide-cerimide mousurizer unstead of sunscreen at night. The only thing I changed 3 weeks ago was switching out my old hyaluronic acid serum for this product. My skin is glowing. Im noticing a slow decrease in the extra texture and "patchiness" and keep getting complimented by friends who see it too. I saw a change after my 2nd time.

I too have fallen for the Niacinamide fad that had happened on Insta and have tried my share of different Niacinamide serums. The @naturium serum is by far my favorite stand alone Niacinamide product. It checks off everything in the box, high percentage, formulated with Zinc, works well with layering. It shows a visible difference in my skin when used consistently. The other ingredients include, Propanediol, Glycerin, Zinc PCA, Vitamin E, by and Sodium Hyaluronate. Zinc is supposedly an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and regulates oil. It also shows to protect and aid in wound healing and regeneration. This is why Zinc Oxide is so often found in high performing sunscreens, as it can reflect the sun and it creates a barrier between the skin and any damaging UV rays. The serum feels hydrating, non-sticky, and has very light creamy/gel texture. The serum absorbs into the skin nicely and helps reduce some of my dark spots and provides a nice glow. Wow! This Vitamin E serum certainly packs a punch! I have been using the Olay Vitamin E Oil Serum, Nourishing Hydration Booster for over 2 weeks and it makes my skin feel so supple, firm and hydrated. I have a natural looking glow after the serum has absorbed into my skin and my skin feels so hydrated. I always let it soak into my skin for a few minutes before applying my moisturizer. I even use it on my hands and cuticles and anywhere I have dry patches. I also top it off with body cream to lock in the moisture. The oil itself is very watery rather than a thick oil like olive oil. So it's best to place it in the palms of your hands and then apply directly to your face. I received the Olay JojobaOil Serum and Moisterizing Booster complimentary from @Pinchme and Olay for my honest review. This product is a wonderful product to add to my skincare routine. I wash my face as usual, use some toner, and then put some serum on my skin. The pipette that dispenses the product is a great addition and the serum spreads on really nicely. I did have to wash my hands free of the excess after the application because it's very oily. I let it absorb for a few minutes before topping it off with some moisturizer per the instructions. I found that the moisturizer and the oil combined and mixed together and my skin was left looking amazing and so hydrated and soft. I would recommend buying this product. I’ve been using the Survival 0 serum nightly for over a month now and I love it! This product is truly one of the MOST powerful antioxidant serums you can buy, so I prefer to use it nightly so it can assist with my skin’s natural repair mechanisms when I’m sleeping. I’ve found I prefer using this prior to my night cream instead of mixing the two together. I find layering that way helps both products soak into my skin, whereas before I’d wake up feeling like some of the product was still sitting on top of my skin. This product is great to use with tretinoin, adapalene, BHAs and AHAs. I used adapalene for 4 months when I was around 18 and experienced a lot of dryness and peeling, stopped using adapalene after I moved to a country where you need a prescription for it. A few months ago, I started adapalene again and had recently gotten more into NIOD as a brand so I thought I could try this combo. When I did I was in awe. The symptoms I had previously experienced never happened to begin with. I even tried skipping a day of Modulating and only then did my skin feel tight and dry from the retinal. It really helps alleviate any redness and dryness from harsher products. Now I always use it along my acids and I never feel my skin tighten after using my salicylic acid anymore! I knew Modulating would help with redness but I was surprised with how well it handled dryness as a side effect. I never peel, and if you decide to use the product on its own then I've found that it actually helps support the skins bouncy feel. But I do really use a lot of hydrating products so I'm not sure how much of it can be attributed to NIOD haha. Overall agreat product, use it with harsh products to help with side effects for best usage. 10/10 would recommend!Nico

I have been using this antioxidant serum for two years now and I'm so pleased with the results. The texture to this serum is so elegant and spreads really well. Over time I've noticed less discoloration on my face and it's really helped improve my rosacea. I definitely look less red for using this product. It's definitely not your average antioxidant serum. It's packed full of good ingredients. I use it during my am routine and will continue for as long as the product is made. Definitely worth a try as a long term investment for your skin.
