20 Best Products For Shiny Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

I don't understand where a lot of these people are saying it's greasy or it stinks. I've used this product, among other Chi products, for years. I decided to purchase this recently on Home Essentials Direct because it was a good price. It is just like any other Chi Shine Spray I've purchased from other places. I'm guessing that maybe the other reviewers are spraying it too close to their hair, and maybe the smell is too strong for them; therefore, it "smells". The scent is strong, but it's a pleasant, fresh scent. I use this after I spray finishing spray on my hair to make my hair shiny and smell good. I get compliments for how great my hair smells! So if you purchase this, be sure to spray far enough away so it won't make your hair greasy and don't over spray!! I spray it all over my hair about 8 inches away for only 1-2 seconds.K.

Chi Shine Infusion is my favorite Chi product. I use it on damp and dry hair. I love what it adds to my hair after I straighten it. It tends to appear dry even though it’s amazingly soft. The Shine Spray definitely is the finishing touch. It also does wonders for my nails cuticles. I always wind up getting some on my hands, but I don’t wash it off, I use every bit by massaging it into my nails cuticles. The smell is amazing! However, it is an aerosol can. So, make sure there’s airflow around you. It otherwise leaves a little ‘mist’ in the air around. Also, you don’t need much. If you use too much, it’ll leave your hair looking oily—which defeats the whole purpose of healthy looking hair. For some reason, it’s irritating to my daughter and makes her cough. I’m just smart about when where I use it, because I’m not going to give it up!lesli.h

I absolutely love this brand. Sadly, I currently live in dry desert, SDCA, and my poor DRY hair (and skin for that matter) hates me. I'm from Houston, TX and used CHI for many years due to the humid climate. Coincidentally this brand was founded and is manufactured in Houston so they know a little something about Frizzies, I imagine. I have fine, BABY fine strands and thyroid condition and I'm young 40's. ie predominately gray but color regularly. I'm unable to enjoy many products and when I happen to find one it is a struggle to find that sweet spot at applying the correct amount (or lack thereof) I've learned that I cannot use too much of anything or my hair's a mess. A work in progress would be safe to say. I am not affiliated with Chi or ULTA, for disclosure purposes. In short, it doesn't matter if you are in a dry climate, humid climate or anywhere between, thick hair, fine hair, curly or (like myself straight as a board) this product offers choices for all. Reviews that claim it is heavy/oily, I think maybe less in more? Just food for thought. Try it, you may find it works and the best aspect, you're paying less than other professional lines which I won't name drop. PS..I LOVE the scent and wish CHI would create a hair perfume product. In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. I feel that I can find a cheaper oil to smooth my hair after blowing it out.PastaPrincess69

This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. Some hair oils I love for example are the Olaplex and Gisou hair oils!hailey.p

i got this in a free gift set of a lot of minis & samples and i didnt expect much from it at all; i have used many different hair oils before and never really "clicked" with any of them. i also didn't expect to even remember half the items i got in this sample kit because there were so many. this stood out enough for me to take a picture of the little sachet before throwing it out. i thought i accidentally used too much but even with me using a lot it didn't weigh my hair down at all. in fact it actually gave me more volume, somehow, and my hair usually gets flat & greasy quite quickly. it smells so nice and the scent is subtle but lingers all day. it made my hair look so glossy & thick. i will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.aj

I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! (Full disclosure: don't know if I'd try the other products, unless they were free samples, because I don't know if the same magic translates, but this particular product is definitely A+.)monzav

So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down – and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer – I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use – with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. There’s so many things to list out for this moroccanoil treatment serum that I love so very much! I love the smell! It’s very calming. I use it after my showers and lightly finger it throughout the mid and ends of my wet hair, then I take my wet-hair detangling brush and gently brush through my hair to detangle and distribute the product (serum). once my hair air drys (yes, I’m one of those people but my hair thanks me for it!) my hair looks like I’ve had a team of people working on it for hours. It’s incredibly soft, easy to manage, my natural waves are much more defined, my hair overall feels healthier and more resilient and finally, the scent lasts for several days and so do the results. Long term I feel as though this will be what my hair has been begging me for! I’ve let my beautiful momma borrow the bottle so that she can experience what I’ve been ranting and raving about for days now. Fun little tidbit: my moms hair is down past the back of her knees and she’s also around 5’5. That’s a lot of long beautiful hair! her hair has always been long and longer than that my whole life so she’s certainly going to appreciate this oil! Love this Cantu hair silk. I use it on dry and wet hair. It adds shine and makes my hair smooth and silky. The scent is wonderful, it reminds me of coconut. The size is good as I need only few drops for my long thick hair. It does not irritate my scalp.iHerb Customer

I must say that I am not a huge celebrity endorser but I must say Mr. Mondo that every product that you have created has been fabulous! I am in love with the super gloss. I use it right after I shower and I blow dry my hair to rough it up a little bit, that ensures it will be ready to soak up the goodness that is enriched in the product, and then I heavily cost my hair starting at the ends and working towards the root. Then I use a plastic head cap and let is sit for about an hour. I know, I know! It says like 20 minutes, but I am an overachiever. Lol Plus it never hurts to leave it on a little bit longer. My hair is already colored with Brad's Super Blue and Super Purple and this product not only makes your hair shiny but it locks in that color. I am delighted with the results of this product, so much so that I plan buy more as birthday gifts for a couple of friends, both of whom color their hair and both of whom, like me, are Baby Boomers. My hair is not colored or permed. It is naturally white, fine and thinned by age and a successful fight with cancer. A couple years ago. My hair is in good condition. I shampoo it once or twice a week, use conditioner and periodically use a masque. I am not plagued by split ends or dryness. I read several of the reviews after I tried this and this appears to have worked for some thick hair people, but I saw other fine hair people stating that it turned their hair brittle and dry, which is the experience I had. I thought it was a different product I got on the same day that damaged my hair, so I used this a second time and my hair felt as if half of it had disappeared, it felt thin and lost all volume. The mids and ends were uncomfortably dry, split and brittle afterward. I’m trying desperately to repair the severe damage this product caused with oils and Olaplex, but it will take time. My hair is pink and it’s having a hard time holding color now. This product needs to have a warning that it’s unsuitable and dangerous for some hair types. If your hair is fine please save yourself the hair trauma and don’t risk trying this product!megan.w

When a product doesn't work, I wait til the last minute to review because I give it multiple chances. The only thing this product said that was true is that you would feel heat. My hair didn't get shiner or glass like, in fact it got a little frizzy. Directions are simple as is application. However for the amount you have to use makes the size of the product laughable especially if you have to repeat. You'd have to purchase the product weekly. That would be expensive. And what exactly is in this that makes your scalp heat up? While it's not going to burn you, it's an ugly reminder that it's just chemicals. Chemicals that don't do the job. They claim its biodegradable and 98% natural. i'm not a chemist. But the heat reminds me of bleach or processing and that is chemical. 11/10!! I love this product!! I have dark hair so it makes it look extra shiny after I wash it! Plus, it makes it smell super good too. I was nervous that this product was going to end up drying out my hair, but it doesn’t at all!! After I use it, I just condition as normal, and my hair feels sleek and smooth for days after I wash. I always just let my hair air dry, but I’m sure with a little product or oil and a blow dry, it would make your hair look even more shiny!! Another thing I like about this product is that a little goes a long way. My hair is down to my waste, so typically when using hair products, I need a lot to reach the desired effect. The bottle for this product has “doses” on it so you know how much to use, and really I only need to use like 1 1/2 doses per wash. Though I do only wash my hair like twice a week, I have had this bottle for about a month now, and I still have about half the bottle left. I have already recommended this to all my friends, and I think everyone should check it out. I will definitely be buying another bottle once I run out. This has been a godsend for me personally. It's also the only oil I've consistently repurchased. A little goes a long way so the large bottle lasts quite a while. It helps reduce frizz all over and leaves hair looking so healthy and shiny. Again, a little goes a long way, rub between hands well before applying. Definitely test out how much your hair needs because it won't be much. I digress. I let it set a bit before messing with my hair and my curls are so soft and so bouncy after. First, let’s talk initially how gorgeous this packaging is because I think we need to take a moment to appreciate it 😍 Initially as I opened the product the entire cap came off and I was wondering how to properly apply this product. I had no idea there was actually a pump because it’s hard to tell and you end up taking the entire cap off. After reading other reviews apparently I’m not the only one this has happened too. Not sure why that happens but it is alittle off putting however if you just pull up on the cap a pump is included for the product to be dispensed, I absolutely love the smell! It smells so good and is heavily scented if that’s not your thing. I used this on my hair two different ways. I applied it to mostly the ends when it was wet after a shower which I didn’t really like the way it made my hair feel. It didn’t feel like it was absorbing into my hair. I also used it dry on the ends and to help flyaways stay down as it was dry and I was blow drying and straightening. I didn’t notice any long term improvement to my hair after using this product but it does smell amazing and keep my frizz at bay. I have curly hair with lots of damage and I definitely need a good oil. I prefer a leave in conditioner but I definitely think a oil has a place in a hair care routine as well. For the price I probably wouldn’t repurchase this product but I definitely want to try other products from this company. I got this in a set with the Oribe Gold Lust Shampoo and Conditioner. I really do love the set and feel that they work as a whole to keep my hair silky. I have bleached hair and when using other hair care brands I feel like my hair feels very dry. With Oribe products, my hair feels healthy and rarely gets tangled unlike when using other brands. I tested out Briogeo's be gentle be kind set in the Banana scent and it not only did it dry out my hair, it also gave me A LOT of dandruff. Keep in mind that I have never once noticed dandruff in my hair before using Briogeo. Switched back to Oribe and my hair is as healthy as ever! No dandruff in sight.laura.c

I was SO excited to try this new product from Amika as I usually love ALL of their products. Unfortunately this one disappointed me. It doesn't have the trademark Amika scent – it smells pretty bad and it leaves my hair oily after just a day. Wish Amika could reformulate this so it's more like the Bumble and Bumble Dry Oil I use. it's so light and you can pre spray your hair with it and use a flatiron – not just a top spray. Since it's not available for return, I guess i'll be selling it online. Sorry Amika – please make it more 'Amika' – and more like the Bumble and Bumble Dry Oil and you'll have a winner!Betsy

i'm not sure what is in this spray that makes it smell the way that it does but it is TERRIBLE. It literally smells like shoe varnish. After the initial smell wears off (right before I started to get a headache) it does add nice shine, but I would spray it on well before I needed to be around other people. it's a shame because I love the signature smell. So far I am loving the shine spray! It leaves my hair glossy & so soft to the touch! It does a great job at keeping my frizz and flyaways at bay as well. It doesn't make my hair feel heavy or greasy at all which i'm so glad about! The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I dont love the smell. It isn't the Signature amika scent – it's almost like a cross between a hair spray smell and citrus – which just doesn't smell the greatest to me. I bought the Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey Pomade to use on my relaxed hair. This was my first time purchasing from Carol's Daughter and I thought I could include the pomade in my hair care routine and was eager to use a product with "natural ingredients" for women of color. The package states it is for "dry, brittle and textured hair" so I thought it would be perfect since my hair since it is on the drier side, and I want to add some moisture to it. The first thing I noticed about this product is the smell. I thought it smelled great even though some people have noted they didn't like the smell from the reviews I read. The problem I had with this product is after I applied a small amount to my hair and scalp, I experienced some intense itching on my scalp within hours after use. The itching worsened and the next morning, I had uncontrollable itching to the point where my scalp felt like it was burning. I had to wash/shampoo it out of my hair right away! After washing it out, the itch was gone, however, my scalp was red and sore from the itching. I also noticed the my thighs were covered in hundreds of hives! I am not exaggerating either. It was bad! I had to rush to the drug store to get allergy medication/antihistamine! This will be the last time I would ever use a product from the Carol's Daughter line. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I went through either. I don't know what it is in the pomade that caused the allergic reaction. I have never had any allergic reactions to any hair care products before, including hair dye. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this product to anyone.Melissa

This is a natural, sweet smelling, non staining, twice a week hair food. To be fair, I like the brand. I got hooked via the store front in Brooklyn. The fact that Target carries this product line is impressive. That 2 of my local Target stores has become inconsistent in stocking core Carol’s Daughter products is troubling. #BlackHairCare is real. Finding healthy, non damaging products is rare. I’d rather see a well stocked Carol’s Daughter selection than Afro Sheen, Cocoa Butter, or Dark & Lovely anything. I’m a Latina with long frizzy when humid, non texture hair. I wanted to try a product that would moisturize my dry hair. Read a lot of positive reviews about Carol’s Daughter but was hesitant to try it because I have non textured hair. First time I tried it with recently washed hair. It helped detangle my hair. It was easy to comb my hair but unfortunately when my hair dried it was so greasy it looked like I hadn’t washed my hair. So I decided to use the pomade as a before washing treatment for my hair. Left it on for about two hours before washing my hair with L’Oréal Everpure detox shampoo. Again easy to comb while still wet. When my hair dried I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t frizzy. My hair was so soft and healthy looking. Would definitely recommend for non textured hair but as a before washing treatment. I gave this product a second chance because I did not want to waste by throwing it away and it was totally worth it.Astrid

For starters the experience of using this conditioner is what's to be expected in a pleasant and predictable way. It applies easily, smells nice and clean, rinses well and a little goes a long way. Additionally it's apparently in application that it doesn't have the added SLS/SLES/Silicone, there's a noticeable absence of that synthetic slickness you notice in conditioners that harbor those nasties. I have dark, naturally shiny hair, and must admit I didn't notice any more oomph in that department regardless of if I used it with the corresponding shampoo, or with other kinds. HOWEVER I would 100% use this product again. I found my hair holds the shape I blow dry it into very well when I use this in conjunction with the shampoo. It's bouncy, looks healthy and smooth. It also plays well with the texturising sprays I use, along with my dry shampoo. My hair isn't weighed down or oily while using this which is a nice change from other shine inducing products which can flatten my fine hair. Only missing a star due to not offering a bit more in the shine department, however is not enough to turn me off the product!Ashley M.

I love the idea of more radiant/shiny hair so I was excited to try this shampoo from the Vibrant Shine range, especially as it doesn’t contain SLS/SLES sulphates, parabens or silicones and is cruelty free and vegan. I love the pink packaging and how it stands out from other products in my shower. It is easy to grip and squeeze, and I only needed a small amount to cleanse my hair. It lathers up nicely and smells fantastic; a blossomy type scent that I really love. It rinses out easily and doesn’t feel drying, though compared to the previous shampoo I was using, it isn’t as hydrating. As far as shine goes, I did notice a slight improvement but was expecting a little more (perhaps the impressive advertising increased my expectations unrealistically). I used this with the matching conditioner and spray and while my hair does appear shiner, my hair prefers the effects of my previous shampoo and conditioner (which are not targeted for shine) so it’s not a range I would go for at the time. I will definitely revisit when I colour my hair next, though, as that is one thing I have had trouble with, the gorgeous shine that comes with colouring disappears very quickly. If your main issue is dullness then I would recommend giving this shampoo a go, along with the Vibrant Shine Conditioner and 3-in-1 Shine Spray for maximum results.Evelyn H.

I love the aesthetic of the pink bottle. It really stands out in my bathroom and would in the aisle of a shop. The bottle itself is a good size and weight. I have some nueropathy in my hands and found this bottle easy to hold and not to heavy. I enjoyed this product combined a heat protectant, detangler and shine all in one. My hair is fine, double processed coloured with bleach and fashion colour so is prone to tangles, breakage and lack of shine. I also have an oily itchy scalp. This did not weight down my hair or make my scalp itchy and annoyed like alot of products do. It has a pleasant fragrance and I felt my hair was softer and definitely shiner. It was great not having to use multiple products on my hair as this gave excellent heat protection and made my tangles easier to manage. The only negative I can find for this product is the spray. It's not a fine mist but quite aggressive squirt. I had to spray and massage it in to ensure even distribution instead of a fine spray coating the hair.Krystle M.

I really love this stuff, but from reading the reviews I see where other people thought it was going to do much more than it actually does.. which is probably from the wording on the bottle. I've used this stuff since a hairdresser put it on my 14 year-old self and my over bleached hair. Back then, I didn't even read the bottle I just knew I could straighten the life out of my hair then spritz this on and it would look semi healthy again. NOW my hair is MUCH healthier and I probably get a bottle of this once every year. All it does for me is adds a healthy looking layer of shine to the dull spots of my hair after styling. I bought this because I couldn't find the Sexy Hair Curl Revival spray I used before. Thought this was the same kind of refresh spray per the description of the product. It is not. I should have read the ingredients before buying, the second ingredient is alcohol and it showed. at first my hair looked nice and then it got almost dried out and crunchy feeling. I was looking for a light weight shine spray that would finish off my hair with a nice glossy look. I was disappointed when I spritzed a couple sprays onto my hair and it instantly looked greasy and started parting. I wish I could say this is the product I have been looking for. As you age you lose shine in your hair and especially if you are blonde or lighten to blonde. My hair is fried. Well half of it is anyways. I started growing my hair out about 2½ years ago and it has gotten very long. I have very fine hair but I have a lot of it and I have left the top part of my hair natural, with no dye whatsoever. The bottom half is a whole different story. It has been dyed and bleached more times than I can even begin to count and let's just say my curls have seen better days. This means that I need a product that is not only effective, but gentle too. I first was introduced to this product when it came in an awards so swag bag. i'd heard of this brand before but have never tried anything from them. let me tell you, from the first time i put this in my hair i was hooked!! i bleach my hair to be able to dye with fun colors. the toll it takes on my hair – mega damage! i use this on wet hair. when my hair dries it is silky soft like bleach has never touched my hair. you only need one pump and the bottle will last you a VERY long time. it plays well with blow dryers and flat irons as well. i also believe its extends styling by a few extra days! the *only* downside is that it is on the pricey side. but consider this – you'll stop buying random products looking for "the one" that will give you these results. very happy Sephora is carrying this – wish more of their stores carried it in stock tho! – as i've ben looking for this product the second i ran out of that first bottle of it. like my headline says, its worth every penny bcuz this product WORKS so well!loldhams

I have oils at home, that to be honest I have forgotten to use recently! Having visited my hairdresser recently this was used on my hair for the first time. I have thick, curly, coarse and frizzy hair. To blow dry it it can be a workout for the arms..and there is no way I can get it as smooth as they can! When this was used (just a couple of drops) on damp hair, the texture of my hair was so smooth and shiny it was amazing. It has certainly not made it greasy or feeling 'weighed down'….just loving the shine and the way it has made my hair look so healthy. This has spurred me on to use up my old oils and then I will be buying this for sure….I also noted that other reviews have suggested other products of the same brand to use at the same time. I will therefore spend some time reading other reviews for tips and ideas of others with the same hair typre.Twindy

My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I have zero frizz and perfect curls… ALL DAY! I do use a diffuser just to hit my roots for volume, but that’s it. I went from unruly frizzy curls, to blownout & straightened, to naturally curly shiny non-frizzy hair. It's been YEARS since my hair was this soft. I have been using this oil 1X/week overnight for about 3 months and have nothing but wonderful things to say & wonderful results. Since I moved from the west coast to the mid-west in 2014 my scalp has been dry off and on and I haven't been able to get it back into balance. In the short time I have been using this oil, it has basically eliminated any sign of dry scalp and itching, has made my hair really soft and easier to style. It doesn't weigh my hair down like other products have and I don't need to use conditioner or wash it as much.(I have long,straight finer hair) I am also losing way less hair in my hairbrush and around my house. It is also letting my long hair grow nicer and seems to be lessening some grey hair. This is a special product that not only has helped my hair & scalp but also makes me feel good when I am using it. I have only used for about few weeks but there is a noticable difference as far softness and fullness is concern. I have use three times the first week on dry hair. Second week went down to twice with once on wet hair. Each time, leaving it on a few hours. I do supplement with the vitamins. But have used collagen prior to this oil with not much difference so I know this change is stemming from the oil, because I doubt the vitamins would show much return after a couple weeks. Smells great and doesnt leave my hair oily or weighed down since I have fine hair. I usually will run shampoo twice during washing though I dont think its neccessary. I have before pics and will show comparison when I see a difference with growth especially around the temple area seems breakage occurs there often. Will buy again. Yes, discount would be great. But willing to pay without one since I like the product.D.V.

I have dry hair normally. I use the 1/8th c oil with 1/2 squeezed lime mixed together for my hair soak every 3 days. I have no problem with washing oil out of my hair. My hair is supper soft between oil soak/washing and make my natural hair color shine beautifully!!! Like Ariana says hair care products alone can only do so much! Limiting the amount of sugar and alcohol consumed greatly reduces hair loss! Also not brushing wet hair, or parting your hair or putting your hair up differently helps not damage hair! I have only been using for a month, I am hoping for my hair to grow faster then 1/4" a month I normally get! ❤Kimberly Andersen

I love all the products from this brand. So I have never written a bad review. I think all of their products smell so good. This product is used after you’re done styling your hair. You spray it on from a distance and then after a few minutes you run your fingers through your hair. At first it looks kind of oily but after a couple minutes it just looks shiny. Like a healthy kind of shine, not an oily shine. I recommend this for someone who has dull hair and wants more radiance.Joanna1231991

I bought this during the last sale as a backup, this would be my second bottle. I originally liked it to make my hair smell nicer. I hadn’t opened this bottle at all and I stored it in a cool dry place, and when I went to go use it, it had a really weird smell. Extremely disappointed. I recieved this nourishing hair oil for my honest review, it couldn't have arrived at a better time! Just recently bleached my hair (twice) from boxed-dyed black, so you can imagine how dry my hair was by the end of it. This hair oil is AMAZING! I only use 2 drops for my entire head (from mid shaft to ends). It smells heavenly!! I love the glass bottle with dropper dispenser as well. It's very lightweight, which is very important for my thin hair. It leaves a nice, NATURAL, healthy-looking shine until the nexr wash day. Tames frizz well, soaks up beautifully ( leaving me to believe it's actually penetrating the hair shaft instead of resting on it), makes brushing a breeze, noticed virtually no breakage, prevents hair from knotting. This oil has been a blessing I am now definitely, a lifetime buyer of this product!! I normally don't write bad/negative reviews, because I understand that just because something doesn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. This hair oil actually damaged my hair. I've inserted a picture with this review just so you can get an idea of what type of hair I have. The picture of my hair that is attached to this review is NOT what my hair looked like when using this product. In fact, I did NOT have this product in my hair at all in the picture I attached to this review. Unfortunately I was stupid and forgot to take a picture of what my hair looked like while using this product. Just take my word for it, it was HORRIBLE! I have thick, curly, frizzy, long hair. My shortest layer is 16in and my longest layer is 20in. As thick and curly as my hair is, I thankfully don't have a lot of tangle/knot issues. I'm pretty much always able to run my fingers/comb/brush through my hair with ease. Well, I used the JVN Hair Oil and it left a REALLY sticky, thick residue on my hair that made it tangle/knot up REALLY bad. I thought maybe I didn't wash the shampoo/conditioner out of my hair that well and the hair oil was not getting along with it. So a few days later I washed/conditioned my hair and rinsed really well. Put the hair oil in and the same thick/sticky residue made it tangle/knot up REALLY bad. Again, I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and chock it up to user error, and maybe the hair oil wasn't getting along with my leave in moisture product. So a few days later I washed/conditioned, rinsed really well and only used the JVN Hair Oil. Again, the same thick/sticky residue that made my hair tangle/knot. The tangles and knots were SO bad from the hair oil that it actually damaged my hair. The thick/sticky/tacky residue made it so hard to run a comb/brush through my hair to try to get the tangles/knots out that it actually started breaking my hair off, and not from the root. My hair was breaking off mid shaft!!!!!!mandicure

Smells amazing to me, a lot like biolage hydrasource. I have no problem using silicone-based products in my hair, but I’m always up to trying something new—the more the merrier. I do find it adds shine, softness, smoothness and a moisturized feeling. It’s not the same sort of softness/shine as silicone-based products give—not better or worse, just different. It gives my hair more of a plump, supple softness than a slick, silky coat sorta feeling that silicone gives. I feel like this is more nourishing for my hair, if anything. It could be a good second layer on damp or dry hair, after leave-in conditioner and before a silicone serum—or just good on its own, after styling for extra gloss, etc. I’ve used it on wet/damp and dry hair and it works well on both. It helped my damp hair dry my smoothly and with a nicer wave I think. I have fine-medium lightly wavy hair, and lots of it. Usually my concerns are dryness on the ends, and a bit of frizz. I’ve had this product for over a month, so I’ve had a good amount of time to settle my opinion on it. I’ll also say that the bottle will last quite a long time; just 3-4 drops per side of my hair seems great (my hair is waist-length).AshKateryna

Been trying out this polish since they stopped carrying the one I normally use. It's only been about 3 weeks and so far I love it. I normally use it straight out of the shower and I apply a very small amount and run it through my whole hair. I've noticed it's also easier to comb my hair while it's wet verses when I have no product in my hair. When my hair drys it is very shinny not greasy looking at all but a healthy shine. It also smells amazing. The price is fair about $8+ but it last along time. With my other product same brand and ounces but Argon oil it would last me a good 8 months. So it's like $1 a month. Makes hair easier to flat iron as the iron glides through the hair better. I don't see much reduction in frizz, but most products are like that. It smells good and doesn't dry out hair. I've used the AG Firewall for flat ironing, and I think it's a bit nicer for making your hair smooth and silky after you've flat ironed. This would be a runner up to the AG Firewall. I don't think either have a heat protection up to 450 degrees, but they do protect the hair to some degree.Product Junkie

It arrived within one day as I selected next day shipping and like all beauty baby orders packaging was good despite this the inside of the lid had broken off even with this said the lid just wasn’t good at all it wouldn’t stay on. THE ACTUAL PRODUCT — I tend to have very frizzy hair and not very smooth nor shiny hair so I followed the directions and put it on… first time I put it all over and it made the tops of my hair in the scalp immediately greasy and like a thickening layer of grease and I did not see the frizz decrees despite that it did make the rest of my hair smooth and shiny as it said it would do. The second time I used it, after straightening I out it everywhere but scalp and it did not go greasy however I was left with frizz it honestly did not help whatsoever… Personally I do not recommend this product especially since my total came to £19 I just don’t think it’s worth it.Anonymous12

Long time Tigi product user. Love most of their pfoducts. Well, first off, let me say that I purchased this thinking it was a hair spray. I even asked the ladies at the front counter if it was, and I was told that it was. I know you all are thinking "read the bottle lady". Well, the print is do dang tiny, there was no way I could read it, therefore, relying on the staff at Ulta. That being said, I looked up how to use the product. I do have hair that is frizzy, so I wasn't completely discouraged when I read the product description and use. I sprayed a small amount on the ends where it tends to be the worst.. I have fine straight hair that has been permed and then chemically straightened, so super damaged. Also mid back in length. I tried this product because I heard rosemary oil promotes hair growth. Idk if that’s true so far BUT my hair does not turn into the daily ratty birds nest anymore. The frizz is gone and I can wear my hair down all the time and it doesn’t tangle every 5 mins. The night hurricane Ida hit I was sitting in my home in four feet of water when I noticed my Kiehs Magic Elixir floating by me as I perched on the top of my sofa chair.
