Being a middle age adult male, nose hair is a common thing I have to deal with. It feels like I buy 6 nose hair trimmers a year because they either fall apart or get rusty. This one feels like it might be a better quality trimmer on multiple levels. It comes with removable heads which are cleanable, and the heads appear to be more durable than some of the other heads on the cheaper trimmers I've purchased. Also, to keep everything together it's got a nice pouch for storage. How well does it work? Like I put in the headline, I can breathe through my nose again and that feeling Is AMAZING, it will probably lead to fewer headaches too. I used three of the functions of the device: nose hair trimming, ear trimming and eyebrow trimming. I had no need for the beard detailer without a beard. The nose trimmer I simply inserted in the nose and moved it around the edges and rotated a bit until I didn't hear any more hairs being ripped out. The ear trimmer seemed to do a good job, I could hear it zapping hairs as I moved it around my ear, I used the rotary cutter for that. And the eyebrow trimmer didn't cut a lot but it thinned it a little which was good. It is easy to use and I found it to be very effective in helping with my grooming needs. I especially liked the attachments for trimming the eyebrows. There are two attachment size options and they do a very good job of safely trimming near the eyes. It is very quick and takes no time at all to use. The same can be said for both the fine trimmer and the nose trimmer. It is easy to swap attachments back and forth and they all work very well. I was also glad to have the included travel pouch although I think it is probably the biggest disappointment in all of the included accessories. Still it is helpful to have so I was glad it was included. I didn’t like that included instructions since they are all on a one page sheet of paper and it's kind of klugy to unfold and read. I would have preferred to have them in a small booklet but they do tell you everything you need to know and once you start using the kit you won’t need them later anyway. This is a fairly standard nose hair trimmer, washable heads, with a few extra attachments. Overall, I find it to be effective, does its job as it claims to. There is no pulling or yanking of hairs when I use this, which I appreciate, however I find the cutting to be rather slow not as thorough as I would like it to be, which means I have to go over the same area more times than I find necessary. The metal trimmer doesn't cut longer hairs effectively, I seem to have a difficult time positioning the trimmer at the right angel to grab the longer hairs to either cut them down completely or at least trim to a shorter length then cut them again. The hairs that are short do not present the same problem. I have used the eyebrow trimmer and the detailer as well, those seem to be too gentle and don't cut the hairs on first contact. It requires only one AA battery, which means this is portable for travel, however its size is larger than the trimmer I currently use, so I would not bring it on trips. The design is modern, but rather industrial and basic, I would have liked it to be more sleek. The construction feels sturdy, seems like it would endure a drop or two, but I don't anticipate this happening because the material used provides a firm grip.dcyw

… bought to replace an old model that I have had for I don't know how many years… still working OK but lost the attachments and time for a replacement. Works nicely for the ears (keeps earbuds from slipping out due to hairs) and also for the nose. Both "saw" and "spin" heads can be used depending on which works best for you. Eyebrow "combs" seem OK and they pop off and on easily. As in other reviews, a pouch or case would have been nice to have included, but a quick look around a hobby shop provided a nice little case for a few bucks to keep everything in one place for drawer or dopp kit. Nothing fancy here, but as the hair stops growing on top of the head and starts sprouting out of the ears and nose, this is a nice little device to keep the barbed wire manicured. This trimmer is a very nice and affordable hair trimmer. Let me start by saying that I'm one of those guys that doesn't have a very hairy body. So I don't really need too many manscaping tools. I feel this trimmer is good enough for my needs. I trimmed the little bit of nose hairs that stick out past my nostril, i wouldn't recommend going to deep with it. You want to leave some hairs in your nose for health reasons. Those hairs are there for a reason! It did a great job trimming the little tiny unsightly strays. I used the included brow trimming attachment to trim some body hair on my tummy and pelvis without issues. I know this product isn't intended for that, but it works for me. The included trimmer guards are nice and I didn't experience any nicks or cuts with the trimmer. You don't need to apply much pressure, the blades are great and require just the lightest touch to trim your hair. That being said, I could see it being a great tool for trimming your sideburns and a lil facial hair as well. I managed to accidentally drop the trimmer from belly height into a tub half full of water while it was on and it survived! I wouldn't recommend taking it under water but its safe to say that it is water resistant. It includes two different sized trim guards, an ear and nose trimmer and 1 AA battery to power the trimmer and a cleaning brush. It has excellent build quality and I recommend this if you're like me and just need a small easy to use trimmer for a lil clean up here and there. Lacking only a case for the accessories, this hair trimmer is an excellent portable option that runs on a single ubiquitous AA battery, yet remains powerful enough to get the job done. – Unboxing & Usage Impressions Major kudos to Philips Norelco for the spartan, easy-to-open packaging and inclusion of a AA battery. The device is very easy to open with a swappable trimmer head that twists and pulls off on one end, and a similar twist-and-pull motion grants access to the battery compartment. Both trimmer heads clearly indicate “washable,” which makes cleaning and maintaining the heads as easy as running them under water in the sink. Two attachable length combs for the trimmer allow for simple length adjustment, and the included miniature brush helps get stuck hair out of all the device’s heads. The trimmer has a surprising amount of heft once the battery is installed, which makes for a comfortable grip with the addition of rubber coating on the handle. I was in th market for a new, smaller trimmer, so I went to my local Wally World and picked this little beauty up for $20. It had all of the atrachments I could need with a few more besides. The fit and finish is excellent, it's light and handy, very maneuverable ans able to get closer than my larger trimmer. The battery lasts 60 minutes and that is more than I will ever need for my usage. The included charger efficiently brings the trimmer up to full power in a timely fashion. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. They're there for a reason; fully and clearly explaining every aspect of the trimmer, it's accesories, their installation and function. I would say this is a lighter duty trimmer set. If you want to cut hair regularly, this is not your product. Get a heavier-duty, corded trimmer that's meant for that kind of work. However, if you want an *Excellent* tool for getting that beard and mustache trimmed or cut, you can't go wrong with this one. Light hair-cutting is not out of the question. I decided I wanted a grooming trimmer, so what better product to buy on Prime day than one of these. I'm sure as you know, if you peruse the trimmer shopping section on amazon, the first 10 to 15 results are nice looking trimmers with LED lights and all come with stands that you can easily place on your bathroom countertop. Unfortunately, Phillips did not meet the mark. There's no indication at all to tell you that the product is charging, no green light or 0 through 100 marker, something that you can see as an important feature that should be on a chargeable trimmer. Secondly there is no stand, they give you this cheap pouch to put about 10 tiny items in, some which will get wet and full of hair. If I had known this is the product I'd received, I would have gone with the others in the same price range that at least come with a LED light to tell you if the product is charged, and a nice stand put all of these various tiny attachments into. I had a Wahl version of this product for many years and it still worked great. I lost it during a move and bought this as a cheap replacement. I wish I spent more for another Wahl. This one advertises that it doesn't need oil, but that's because it's almost completely plastic, including the blades. Very noisy by comparison and light weight, so it feels cheap in my hand. It works well enough for the price, but it doesn't feel as gentle as I'm used to. The heads and attachments aren't as nice either. I don't expect it to last long. If you want to save a buck or try out a rechargeable trimmer, this is not bad. But if you're like me and prefer a tool that will stand the test of time, I'd recommend looking into a brand with metal blades and a reputation of quality to back it.Someone who likes quality

I have to say that being a first-time user of such a product, the Conair Metal Series High Performance Nose/Ear Trimmer has left a very positive impression on me. Dare I say….life changing?! The build quality is excellent. It feels very heavy and sturdy in your hands with its metal body. The only non-metal parts of the unit are the blade housing, the blade cap and the battery cap/switch. To turn it on, just twist the aforementioned battery cap/switch in the clockwise direction and opposite to turn off. To swap out the battery, twist the battery cap/switch further counterclockwise and it will dislodge itself from the metal body, releasing the battery. Pretty simple. As far as performance, the real question is if I felt any discomfort during use? Being a first time user, all I can say is that it was definitely a weird feeling, but no, I wasn’t nicked, pulled at or cut. Scared, yes. I mean, who wouldn’t be scared sticking a Roto-Rooter up your nose? But this beats manual pulling or scissoring your way out of a tickly or embarrassing situation by a mile, and I will use this regularly moving forward. I took it easy at first, by the way. From a maintenance perspective, the only two things you’ll have to do occasionally is (1) rinse out of the detachable blade and (2) swap out the single AA battery when the juice gets low. Like all things with blades, they will become dull overtime and need to be replaced. I don’t know about other ear/nose trimmers on the market, but replacing the blade is a nice feature to have. And having the backing of a company that specializes in hair care is always a plus. The Conair Metal Series High Performance Nose/Ear Trimmer is a simple, but elegant addition to a shaving routine. Right out of the box, my wife said “wow, I’m surprised that’s Conair”, as she does not expect much out of the company. The “Metal Series” Silver looks nice without breaking the bank. The device itself is simple, the main trimmer, a twist off bottom to insert the battery (1AA, Positive end toward the bottom), there is a cover to place on and off the trimmer head to protect it while not in use. To turn on/off the trimmer, a simple twist of the bottom and you are off. One of the simplest aspects of this trimmer is the fact it is battery powered; a lot of shaving appliances are wall plug/charged and it is nice to have an assessor that you just click on without any more thought. The performance of this Nose/Ear Trimmer is outstanding. At some point in your life, nose hairs start to multiply or lengthen an unruly amount. In the past, I’ve used a normal trimmer to angle into my nose, tweezers, or my hands to pluck hairs and well, this is a game changer. I consider this a luxury item, as one absolutely does not NEED it, but this is a WANT item if you suffer from Nose/Ear hairs. For the nose, simply placing the device about ¼” into the nares and a little motion around the walls of the nares makes for a cleanly shaven nose without being intrusive. I want to love all of the manscaped so bad. What I do love, is the blade and how it does not Knick or cut you. I’m a woman, I use it and my husband uses it and we both like that feature.
That is the only reason why it’s getting 1 star and not 5.

What is REALLY lame about the rest of it is the battery life and speed/ability to cut through course hair. It takes about 5+ hours to charge, and once it is charged you have about 2 mins of usage until the motor slows down and your battery life light is back to red. And yes I did actually time it all. SUPER LAME!!

Thing worked fine for a while, until it sliced my coin purse open. The “skinsafe” cutting head sliced me open like a razor knife. Wrote to customer service about it, their response was to offer a replacement head. Thanks but no thanks.
Then my trimmer became possessed. It would turn itself on and off randomly. It woke me up one night buzzing away after it had jumped off the counter onto the tile floor. I turned it off only to have it turn back on again seconds later. Tried plugging it into the charger, no dice. Still turned itself on. So I took the head off it and left it in the sink bowl so it couldn’t damage anything else.
Customer service offered a free replacement. I accepted and gave my mailing address. They sent me a replacement CUTTING HEAD. FOR THE TRIMMER I CANT EVEN USE ANYMORE.

It stopped working after less than 15 uses. I use it as intended, but also on my head if my fuzz gets to long for a Bic. First of all, I think a handheld Bic is safer, iv cut myself dozens of with this, and second it broke after a dozen of so uses. It is supposed to under warranty, but when I emailed I said if it's not covered under warranty and this is the quality of product I can expect, I wish to cancel all subscriptions. They canceled all subscriptions. Just shows that they don't even stand behind their own product.michael walker

This is a sexy nose and ear hair trimmer! It worked great trimming my nostrils and eye brows, when using one of the attachments. It charges via a USB port so I do not have to purchase batteries, which is terrific. The quality is good and holds up its strength. But the nose/ear trimmer is too bulky at the top. It makes it hard to maneuver the trimmer and get in good angles in your nose or ear hairs compared to other trimmers I have used. It feels awkward.Please fix this. The very first thing that I noticed about the Virtually Indestructible Nose, Ear & Brow Trimmer from Remington is washout System that’s connected to the blades. It’s designed to make cleaning the blades easy. I appreciated that feature because I HATE CLEANING THE BLADES!! It’s pretty precise when it comes to cutting. It’s easy to use and does the job well. I do have a few issues with it. Without reading the instructions it took me a little while to figure out how to turn it on. I’m used to trimmers having on/off buttons. This does not. You have to turn the bottom of the trimmer in order for it to power on. You also do this to put the battery in. My biggest issue with this is the noise level. It’s pretty loud. This Virtually Indestructible Trimmer is great. It comes with 3 attachments: the plastic two-sided comb, which you can use on bushy eyebrows; the round cutter, which would be used in your nose/ear and the metal two-sided blade. The blade won't cut your fingers if you slip or if a kid gets a hold of it. The blade vibrates to chop off whatever hairs you have to clean up. In fact my wife even loves it for her peach fuzz and eyebrow cleanup! It's easy to use and clean and it can take a bit of abuse, which is a plus in case you drop it. This is a great, double system which works (when new) extremely well in removing even the smallest hairs from the ear or nose. Huge problem is that I have bought at least a half dozen of these units over the past 3 years, because they fail to start much of the time without a light tap or two — and after a couple of months, ultimately fails to start at all. I remove the battery each time for storage, keep the unit clean and covered, so there seems to be an issue with the motor, wiring connectors or the switch itself. At first when I bought this, I was thinking how something so strange looking can trim my noise hairs without cutting me? It turned out to be much easier to use than expected and pretty self-explanitorial. It does cut the majority of my unwanted noise hairs, but I usually finish off the rest with a pair of small noise scissors. This was not exactly what I thought I was ordering for him, but he is getting used to it and now he really likes it. Says the battery is lasting a long time, many times being used and still strong. It is small and light weight, so at first it seemed "dinky" but it does a very nice job of keeping his beard at that "day-old" look that I like for him. I have a drawer with three of these that don't work. They were each great when first bought and used, but the third or fourth time it was switched on there was nothing. I changed the battery – nothing. I tried reversing the polarity of the battery installation – nothing. I tried a third battery properly installed – nothing. I received my product today and was excited to use it as my previous trimmer broke. I was very disappointed. I feel like if your nose hair is as wild and bushy as overgrown lawn with crabgrass then this is for you. My nose hairs were pretty long and a bit wild and I found myself pressing the trimmer in hard and still found a good portion of nose hairs just were not being cut. I have a Manscaped 3.0, so I thought this would be a good compliment…I was wrong. I have not been impressed with this product. I have purchased cheap ear/nose trimmers that worked way better than this one. It is almost like it doesn't, or can't, trim nose hairs effectively. It looks like a premium product and costs much more than others but it doesn’t work well. It has a large “nozzle” below the cutting blade so you can’t reach the nostril hair. The cutting blade misses cutting much hair despite repeated attempts.
My $12.00 cheap model with an AAA battery works much better.Dan

I ordered this trimmer a week ago. When it arrived, it had clearly been used, and it was broken. It had hair in it, a broken shaving foil, and two dead Eveready batteries (not originally included). Outside was all scraped up. Unbelievable! I got them to give me my money back, but give me a break! I've lost all of my faith in Sharper Image. I have never had a used, defective product shipped to me ever. Horrible experience.Shocked and Disappointed

Something us bald older guys have to understand as one fact of life: The hair didn't really stop growing. We just got more hardheaded and it's like a game of whackamole. Instead of growing on top it wants to push out through the nostrils and the ears. This is a real problem solver. Get the model that also a trimmer. You can still grow sideburns can't you? I purchased this 3 in 1 trimmer for myself in December of 2015. I instantly loved it after my first use. Only 4 months later on April 13 2016 I accidently dropped it. After hitting the bathroom floor, it was no longer working at all. I was heartbroken because I use it about 3 times a week. The next day I called customer service expecting to have to purchase another one since it was my fault. I was told a replacement unit would be sent out that day at no charge to me at all. They told me to throw out the damaged one. I was amazed by the GREATEST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I ever dealt with. I am a CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. Horrible product! It doesn't cut most of the hair. It's made of cheap plastic. The top blades are longer than the bottom blades, so it leaves a quarter inch of hair uncut from the skin's surface. The blades are not sharp at all, and are spaced too far away from each other. It's not high powdered. Even if you keep going over the hair it still won't cut half of the hair. I've never used an electric trimmer that literally won't cut the hair. Wahl brand is way better.Sponge Squeezing

OK for my beard trim but as for hair? Not that I have much left!! I was due a No.1 next week but because of the current situation decided to do it myself. No matter which setting or adaptor I fitted it just slid over the hair. I had to dig out my now cordless Remington, it no longer takes a charge & can only be used when the adaptor is plugged into the mains. (Which this Braun replaced). To sum up, I will continue to use this on my beard but if the lockdown is still in place when I am due my next No.1 I will resort to using the Remington for my hair. If I had purchased the Braun at Argos I would have returned itfezgood

This product does need a shaver plug adapter to plug into the mains to charge, or maybe a shaver point in the bathroom would work. We had an adapter and charged the battery overnight. My wife kindly cut my hair the following day. It was the first time she had ever done this and the result was excellent. The battery lasted throughout and cut through the hair with ease. I would recommend this product.Chris

PRO: Good price and overall value. Works great. It's my first trimmer so I have nothing to compare it to. Nice and light. I didn't know at the time I purchased it that this particular model version didn't come with a case. If you get one, make sure the model you get includes a case. There are many with the same model number but some come with a case and some don't. CON: There's no place for me to store the attachments after taking them out of the packaging material. And I don't want to keep putting it back into the plastic packaging and box it came in time and time again. I should of known. Lower price = no case = inconvenience for storing.Letsduet

This thing is WORTHLESS. Don't waste your money or your time. Flimsy, and cuts nothing. It would not even take off the fine hairs on my hand. Just makes noise. And, it does not come with all attachments shown. The package insert says your package may, or may not, include certain attachments, but you can order them. Junk junk junk.Kelly

A great company that stands behind what they sell! This has been my favorite trimmer of all time. The battery life is amazing. Requires charging twice per year. It comes with a bag full of attachments. It is a full-service trimmer. Everything about it is well made. It is also powerful enough. Spend a few extra dollars and get years of the best trimming experience. I have owned no less than 15 trimmers. Nothing was close to this one.jjmali

It cuts hair!!! With the mad dash for hair cutting equipment due to Corona virus, I saw that these trimmers can pull double duty and cut hair. I tend to have slightly courser hair but figured they had a 60 day return policy so what did I have to lose. I had 2.5 months of growth and usually get a cut every 3-5 weeks. I was pleasantly surprised that it cut my hair. I am no barber so I started with the #8 and worked my way down to a #4. I will say that the #4 felt shorter than 1/2". I usually get a cut with a #4 on the sides and a 2 finger scissor on top. The various guards worked pretty well. They did tend to get loaded up and needed to have the hair shaken from them a few times. For the price plus a 5% discount form using the T card, I figured I would pay them off with just two cuts. Only once did I notice a pull but that might have been because I was moving too quickly. once I slowed down, and watched a few videos, things worked out well. I liked that the unit has enough weight to give good control but not so heavy as to tire. With my overgrown hair, a barber would take up to an hour to cut. I did it in about 1.25 – 1.5 hours. I also trimmed my eyebrows and ear and nose hair. The guards are a little light for the plastic they are but they do the job. one or two came bent but a little pressure and they straightened out. In all it seems like a great unit.frank

Having owned many trimmers I was skeptical but very pleased with the Wahl 9818. The unit comes with a decent variety of attachments and various guard lengths and the battery life seems good thus far (1month on full charge even used for covid hair trimming). Having read the pamphlets while it received its 1st full charge helped as I then grouped the guard sizes I will most frequently use, in the past some of my favorite trimmers just had twist-grip adjustments and that was nice verses changing guards. However its inevitable at some point yur favorite beard trimmer gets knocked off the counter and the the length adjustment breaks so I guess having interchangeable parts that are readily available is a future plus. Quality is excellent and so far the battery life is also but I do wish that it could be used in a no charge state with cord (directions say do not use while plugged into transformer) it does further state that even a quick charge will result in minutes of use. Thing is we rarely worry about the charge state of our beard trimmer unless going on vacation. Lol Only time will tell what the life expectancy of the battery is because like many favorites of past the battery would die and the unit wouldnt function on the cord. One of the reasons I love my Braun shaver somuch is that its a powerhouse on battery but if the battery wains I can plug it in and have full speed and no hairs ripped out due to slow cutting head…sm102624
