I actually was lucky to be a part of the pop-up event in Dallas Northpark a few weeks ago (simple because I saw everyone being handed free popsicles – !Lol) I wasn't sure what was happening but a very nice rep walked me through the experience and I was sold almost immediately. The skin care brand that I was using prior was acquired by another conglomerate and their composition of their products changed vastly (I could not understand why I was breaking out again after I thought I had found "the one"). To preface, I have fair skin that is pretty sensitive and prone to dryness and occasional hormonal acne. My go to cleansers are Dermologica Daily Microfoliant and Vanicream gentle face wash. Decided to add this product to my rotation after dealing with a couple of stubborn hormonal/maskne breakouts and being recommended this brand by a friend. Due to the high % of salicylic acid, i only used it 2-3 times a week. After about a month, I began to suffer from some of the worst breakouts i have EVER experienced in my life on my temples, cheeks and chin which i am just now starting to recover from after 6 weeks. I love this product for several reasons. One, it has such a nice, clean scent and doesn't smell like perfume. Two, it actually works!! I put it on wet skin, use a very soft cleansing brush and work it in circles on my face, leave on for 5 minutes, then wash it off. I use it 2-3 times/week. My skin texture and acne have gone down dramatically just in the few weeks I've been using this. I've found that other salicylic acid cleansers are too drying for my skin. This is definitely a product for oily skin. It can be a little drying but if your skin produces enough oil to fry a medium size McDonald's fry everyday, it'll definitely work for you as it did for me. Once you get by the strong alcohol smell, this toner is pretty good. Cleared my skin and kept it clear, which is more than I can say for other toners. My only gripe is really just the smell; it's a VERY strong alcohol smell, even with the fragrance to cover it up. In high school and college, I had little to no acne, but I did encounter staph at some point during time in athletics– which if you don't know, is hard to get rid of and is a serious issue. The worst part was the bacteria was on my face, so when I'd get a pimple from time to time, they would quickly develop into an abscess. So I have PCOS which causes me to have hormonal acne at the wonderful age of 34. I thought I would be done with it after my teenage years but that is not the case. I was super happy to receive this voxbox and hopefully rid myself of this acne once again, Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Over all it did work when used daily. I had less active breakouts. I really liked the exfoliating scrub it left my skin feeling fresh and clean. I did use a better moisturizer on tip of the 2 that are provided with the kit because they were more drying with the active ingredients being benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. I did take away 1 star and probably should have take away another because as soon as I stopped using it after 2 weeks the acne came right back, I didn't expect it to 100% cure my issue because it is more hormonal than anything, but I did hope to see an improvement in the amount or severity of the breakouts, but that wasn't the case. I love this 3-in-1 pads. They are the only ones that I ever buy. I have been using them for years. These Oxy pads are the only acne pads that not only treat your acne but also clean your face at the same time. Other pads you need to clean your face prior to using them. I used to use these as a teen, I still use them sparingly after long work days to freshen up. I try not to use often because they make my skin worse if I use everyday. I'm giving them a 5 star rating because I love them for another use – I have neon pink hair and these are amazing for removing semi permanent dye from skin! I'll apply all my hair dye then go in right after and use these on my fore head and wherever else I get large amounts of dye on. This is an effective cleanser that doesn't break me out, which I appreciate considering I have oily, acne-prone skin. However, this cleanser tends to dry my face after I use it if I don't immediately follow up with a hydrating product such as a toner. I initially bought this cleanser because it also has salicylic acid, but I have since learned these type of cleansers are not as effective (if at all) as leave-on products because the active ingredients are washed off before they likely have a chance to work. I have added a leave-on BHA to my routine, so I don't rely on the "medicated" aspect of this cleanser. This cleanser also doesn't remove eye makeup well if I haven't used a makeup remover beforehand. Given that this cleanser does not break me out, I will continue using it until I finish the bottle. However, I will probably not buy this particular cleanser again because it is drying for me and also because the salicylic acid is unnecessary.tomis
I really like this product for my acne prone skin. I use this morning and night in my skin care routine. And I have very oily skin so I think this helped a lot. My review is for the kit I'm not able to find…. I just started using this one day ago and I already see a diminish in the acne I had. The cleanser itself doesn't sud but you only need a small amount. My face did feel clean afterward without drying. The toner has a slight medicinal smell. Not like witch hazel. It contains witch hazel and aloe, two good ingredients. The moisturizer isn't bad. You need little and it soaks in pretty quickly. After letting it sit my face feels very moisturized and slightly tacky but nothing transfers on my hand when I feel it. Not oily at all. I will do a full before and after review after the recommended 8 weeks of use.amber.s
Ance Free severe is the best ance product on the market! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is currently suffering from ance prone skin. I struggled with ance every since my 6th grade year in school until my senior year in college. During that time, I tried a lot of ance products and nothing seemed to work for me! So I’ve tried lots of acne products out there and usually know what’s best for my skin. With that being said, benzoyl peroxide is almost always my go to. I’ve tried many brand name/store name kits and single bottle cleansers on the affordable market. This Acne free system did work well. The price is pretty great in comparison to the proactive brand, so if you’re on a budget, this is for you. I will say that for me and my skin type, i ran into a great deal of over drying from the product. If you run into the same issue, simply space out the product use and use more gentle cleansers in between washes. Loved the toner, it immediately gives your face this smooth silica type feel. The lotion was slightly too oily for my preference, but everyone’s skin types vary. All in all, for the money, this is a great choice for acne sufferers!sean.c

This product has brought back my confidence. I have suffered from hormonal acne on and off for over 10 years. I recently had a serve hormonal acne break out after 3 years of clear skin after doing my second round of Accutane, which was emotionally devastating. I got this kit, and I stuck it out. It burns initially while your skin is adjusting to the products, mine took about a week and a half to stop feeling the burn sensation. Your skin will dry out, mine got flakey around my mouth and eyebrows. But the emotional and physical pain of severe acne far outweighs the burn and dryness, and I would tell anyone trying this kit to stick it out, the results are worth it. My acne isn't totally clear, and hormonal acne takes more than a topical treatment to fix, but this has helped make a huge difference in my skin. I have had my breakout for 4 month, I've tried multiple things to help curb my breakout, and in only one month this has made my skin go from overrun by bumps to just a few. I am adding a picture of my skin progress, on the far left is day one of using the extra strength acne kit, middle image is one week after, and the far right image is one month after. The pictures speak for themselves. I decided to take picture with makeup on so I could see the texture better. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation and scaring from my acne so bare face it is much harder to tell what is a pimple and what is a scar, makeup took that element away so that is why makeup is work in my pictures. I would recommend this kit to anyone with acne, don't give up before it has time to work. I will continue to use this three step kit. A side note, I only used the face wash (Step 1) in the p.m. as using it in the a.m. was too much for me. When I was 24, I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer. Due to this, I had a hysterectomy and all has been good for almost 20 years. I tell you this because, as you can imagine, hormones are tricky to replicate and it has been a struggle to get them right with therapy. About 4 years ago, I began getting severe cystic acne. Sooo… I have been a loyal Paula's choice costumer now for 8 weeks now. Usually, that is how long it takes for you to see a difference when it comes to your skin after starting a new skin routine. I started to get acne when I was 18-19. I am now 23 years old and I have tried about everything, from all natural skin routines to prescription acne medicine. Unfortunately, the only time I saw a real difference was when was using acnetac last summer. It really cleared up my skin but only lasted for about 3 months. I had read so many good reviews about Paulas choice and had multiple friends recommending me to it. I was really excited to try a new routine and ordered this above mentioned kit, plus the SKIN BALANCING Pore-Reducing Toner and the Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator. Overall, I haven't seen any real results. My skin somewhat have got both better and worse. Sometimes it clears up pretty well but sometimes I wake up with 15 new pimples on my face and I have also gotten usually zit spots on my cheek and left side chin. Always three on the chin and four on the check. It is really frustrating and more than anything I have started to struggle with self confidence after getting bad skin. Right now I am having a bad period but in the end it is like my boyfriend says, hey it's just skin! Overall, I really really really wished this kit would have worked on my skin. I've been using this for a little over 3 weeks now and I have to say I really like this product. Does it completely get rid of a blemish in one or two swipes? No, but within a couple days (2-3) I definitely noticed a difference and the inflammation has gone down. As for the leftover acne scars I do notice a slight fading but it's still there It has a pleasant, lemony smell that isn't too strong and it's not irritating. This is a rollerball application which in one hand I do find really nice and easy to apply and potentially travel with but it does make me think that I'm just spreading the bacteria around on my face and into the product itself. Also I was confused on how often to apply. The packaging says reapply as often as necessary which is what? Twice a day? 3? 6? I'll be honest with you: I have been applying this anywhere from 2x -6x a day, depending on how busy I am that particular day. I still don't know what is the correct amount, if there is any, but I haven't had any adverse effects when applying it more so take that as you will. This cleanser is really good. There are lots of comments in regard to the new formula being worse than the old, which has NOT been my experience. ( it’s just a cleanser list of ingredients! ). This gentle foaming cleanser defends against 5 signs of skin barrier, dryness, irritation, roughness, and tightness. It’s not harsh on my skin at all. I massage the product into my ski for 60 seconds then rinse and follow the rest of my daily routine. This product goes on light and smooth and leaves my skin feeling fresh and healthy. I don’t care for the smell though, hence I less the star rating. What I love about this cleanser it is effective, but gentle without stripping or leaving my skin feeling dry. The original formula left my skin feeling dry. I’m so happy they improved the formula with glycerine because my skin feels refreshed and moisturized! First off, I’m an esthetician so I’m a bit of a skin care snob. Things that I do love about this cleanser is that the company reworked the formula and took out the parabens and all of the harmful ingredients that it use to use. The cleanser is definitely gentle and good for sensitive skin. But it doesn’t have any actual active ingredients that would help with acne. So if your expecting it to cure any acne. It won’t. It would be best if used as a pre-cleanse before an active cleanser or if your on a medication that prevents you from using active ingredients. I bought this because I've been through a few bottles of the Paula's Choice 2% BHA and wanted to find something same-same-but-different. So far, I strongly prefer this!! My least favorite thing about the PC product is how much of a residue there is, I'd compare the feeling to that of a body dry oil. It's so present that my normal-dry skin can forgo moisturizer afterwards in the summertime. The Farmacy product is just like a standard watery toner, so there's absolutely zero residue, which I LOVE. It also smells really nice (kind of like a herbal papaya? but not exactly sweet/fruity) even though it doesn't have added fragrance. As for effects, I wasn't sure this product was actually doing anything until a couple of days ago where I laid off for a few days in preparation for a once-in-a-while AHA/BHA mask. Let's just say it was obvious that the product was keeping sebaceous filaments and blackheads at bay. Since resuming using it again, they're gone again. My one problem with this product is that it is so watery that a cotton pad is really kind of necessary, and I'm someone who likes to use my hands for all of my skincare steps so that I don't waste product. As such, I feel like I'm going through the bottle rather fast. To mitigate this I've been using the cotton pad on my chest, KP areas, and even behind my ears so that it goes as far as possible. This toner has changed my skin. I have bought it 3 or 4 times now and I can safely say it has improved my skin a lot. I used to have lots of little bumps all over my forehead and this has cleared most of them away. The toner is quite expensive so I prefer to tap it directly onto my skin and rub it in rather than waste it on a cotton pad. I actually use another less expensive toner first and put that on a cotton pad and to remove any debris, then I use this on top so it can really sink into the skin. I think this toner works really well because this brand is doesn't add nasty chemicals into their formulas. It also smells lovely and the packing is gorgeous. I always feel good when I used it. This little gem came in a bundle that I purchased to try out different products. I recommend folks to purchase bundles to get the vast array of products that they offer. I have very dry skin that coincides with the side effect of a skin disorder that I have. A lot of facial cleansers I am allergic to or have reactions to. So I was wary of this, but I gave it a try. I was looking for a gentle cleanser to use at night – I've started applying retinol in my night routines – and I found the Aveeno Foaming Clear Complexion cleanser at Kroger's and decided to give it a try. It is oil and soap free and it has salicylic acid and tone correcting soy in its formula. I have oily and acne prone skin, so the salicylic acid helps a lot. The amount of foam that comes through the pump is perfect to wash my entire face. The fragrance is delicate and refreshing. After rinsing it off, my skin feels soft and super clean, something I wasn't expecting, to be honest. I've used another foaming cleanser that didn't make me feel like my skin was 100% clean. One thing that is important to mention is that before the cleanser, I always use a cleansing oil to remove my makeup and sunscreen and I wasn't sure if this one would totally remove what's left of it. Foam cleansers are more drying compared to other forms. The additional salicylic acid (SA) can further irritate dry skin. If you require a potent cleanser, this would be it. But it can have very negative effects if the formula doesn’t agree with your skin. I have combination skin and periodic cases of acne. One time, I had varying types of stubborn facial acne, so my dermatologist recommended to start with this cleanser. I used it every night, then used a light moisturizer. I also wore/wear SPF 50+ sunscreen regularly. The first few days, my skin flaked a little, but that was normal when trying a new acne cleanser. But after a week, my skin was red and peeling, and blisters suddenly formed on my chin. I went a few weeks without washing my face entirely, due to the pain. I opted to use a gentle face wipe, as well as slathering heavy moisturizers and Vaseline all day. I had not used any type of acne products in months prior, so I do not suspect any residual reactions. I had tried many products with SA in the past, including the Neutrogena SA cleanser in both gel and liquid form. There is always some irritation, especially when my skin is adjusting to a new product, but it was never so severe. (I only use acne-focused cleansers as necessary, and prefer hydrating cleansers that are eye-safe). Personally, I suspect that the combination of foam cleanser+SA was too drying for my combo skin. Even with oily skin, I do not recommend using this on a daily basis. And when you do use such a drying product, always pair with a good moisturizer and excellent sun protection! (It will also help you realize if the cleanser itself is to blame for any reactions, instead of sun damage or dry skin). 3 stars because the negative reactions were so harsh, but I was still able to use the rest of the bottle for my body acne, and it was surprisingly effective and non-irritating. A very risky trial-and-error.
I have been struggling with acne on and off and even more recently during the pandemic maybe because of the masks. I normally don't have makeup on when I use a mask but if I do it's just for a brief few minutes. I have been getting a lot of acne on my jaws, cheeks and temples, even on my forehead now. I have had a pretty good skincare routine yet I still break out. Okay, i have to leave a review because 1. this has been a staple product among the rest of my usual high end skin care for YEARS but 2. I feel like it only works on certain types of skin to make a difference. I used this all through high school and never really had acne so I couldn’t totally see the results of it. my skin is very dry and somewhat sensitive but this year once I started working out I started getting a little acne on my chin here and there and ended up using something from proactive with A LOT of retinol that ABSOLUTELY destroyed my skin barrier. my skin on my chin was chapped, insanely dry and red and after that acne started popping up everywhere on my chin, but not like regular pimples. they were huge and dry/cyst like. I started using harsh products and oily skin face wash to get rid of it (i’ve never had experience with acne so in my mind acne=oily skin) but little did i know it was because my skin barrier was so destroyed and dried up that THAT was the reason for all my breakouts! I decided to stop with all the harsh products and start from the basics with gentle, moisturizing products again. my skin was definitely thanking me for it but still had a small amount of acne on my chin. after applying hydrating toner and serum I would apply this product for my acne. my skin has been clearing faster than ever which shows me this product is not too drying and the perfect formula for my skin to help with my acne but also keep the skin moisturized. my skin barrier is still a work in progress lol but this product has been a lifesaver for me. not too much or too little, but just right for the dry/sensitive skin breakouts!d
The scent smells so good. I expected the size to be bigger but it's as big as my palm. The packaging looks nice and sturdy. It feels cool on the skin after applying. One of the reason why I bought this was because of its benefits and its ingredients, particulary salicylic acid which helps in combatting acne. Applied in the morning after usually cleansing routine. Found this to be a thin moisturiser but absorbing, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and non greasy. Brilliant under foundation as it leaves a matt effect. I struggle with red blotches on the tops of my cheeks which this moisturiser has reduced. The red blotches are obviously more noticeable when I’m not wearing makeup, which is a regular occurrence these days as home or when out, using a mask. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and so far i am fairly impressed. It doesn’t smell strong, simple to apply and spread over skin and leaves skin feeling smooth. It works so well on my oilier areas such as t zone and chin but made a little dry patch on my nose/cheek look more obvious. I started using a little serum in my dry area just before applying this emulsion and it made a huge difference. Any little niggly spots that were trying to appear seemed to either gonaway faster or just not fully appear. All in all it’s a great product for anyone with normal to oily skin but for dry or combination you might prefer to assist your dry areas with another serum or moisturiser if you decide to use this in your skincare routine. I've suffered with oily skin for as long as I can remember, I would apply my makeup perfectly in the morning ready for the day ahead but always found myself reapplying or powdering within a few hours as my oily skin would make an unwelcomed appearance! I always like like I was sweating so not a good look I've tried many creams and foundations to try to control the problem but nothing worked well enough! That is until I tried Avène Mattifying Emulsion! Ive been using for a few weeks as I wanted to test it in different environments and during different daily activities. I apply it to my oily prone areas first and then just rubbed what was left on my hands all over my face to have a completely balanced coverage, may I say a little goes a long way and blends in beautifully and so light, I have sensitive skin so am always hesitant to try new products but I needn't be worried because it caused no irritation at all and blended in easily, having left for a few mins I carry on applying my usual foundation and daily make up. By mid day I checked and I was pleasently surprised I didn't need to do any touch ups as my skin was still looking just as it did when I applied it, not even a shine was visible! It actually stayed oil free all day with no touch ups, I'm so impressed! It's now day 16 and I've tried and tested it through excersise, brisk walking, cycling, chilling In the garden on warm days, shopping, working etc and it's passed with flying colours Im never going back! 100% recommended!

I have slowly been switching over to Osmosis and trying different serums and cleansers. I have to say that I really like everything I’ve tried so far but this, Rescue and the Enzyme face wash are everything my acne prone, aging skin could ask for. This product cleared up all of my persistent cystic acne. I had a patch on my jawline that would not go away, (it was there since January) and as soon as I started using this nightly it went away. I had used everything for acne including adapalene gel but this stuff finally did the trick. Oh and the kicker is it didn’t cause any irritation. The only time I notice irritation is if I try to use this twice a day. That’s a no go for my sensitive skin. So I use this in my pm routine with rescue and the booster spray and I’m done. So easy and my skin is happy. Highly recommend the entire Osmosis line of serums and cleansers!
As I've mentioned in my other reviews, this product line was recommended to me by my esthetician. All of the Osmosis products and serums have seriously transformed my skin. This is my first bottle of Correct – (as I eased into the retinals with Calm first). I have had no issues since using Correct and my skin looks so radiant after a few weeks. I started using this product to hopefully help with clearing up a breakout. I get cystic acne on my chin, and while I am on spironolactone, I did give my body a break. Let's just say after a month, my breakouts came back along my jawline. I've tried a few different products to help ease the breakouts as the spironolactone retakes effect, but I hadn't had much success. After a few days of use with this serum, I noticed a significant improvement to the appearance of my breakout. I definitely still have a ways to go, but this product helped a ton. I have never had acne up until this past year. I spoke with the skin specialist at Ulta & she recommended this to pair with the Murad I was using. This kit has been a game changer for me! I have sensitive skin, so I hate trying new products… I've used it for over a month now & there is a noticable difference. I have paired it with Murad facewash at night and use the Sunday Riley facewash in mornings. Not going to lie my face was severely broken out, so it's not completely gone. I rarely leave reviews, but for this Sunday Riley product, I will. Usually my acne only flares around the time of the month, but lately, it hasn't disappeared. My routine prior to purchasing this SR product works for me, but this time, I needed a little bit more help. I ran across this set as I was Christmas shopping and I have to say… it was definitely one of the best shopping decisions that I've made. I just started using this product a few days before Christmas and I already the results are fantastic!! Within 24 hours the affected area was purging and the my face felt a lot better. it has not been a week, but my face has cleared up and the texture is nice and smooth.
