It's a bit pricey but trust me its worth it. I was tired of my hair feeling gross, dry on the ends and oily at the roots. I threw away all my other garbage shampoos and I finally found the shampoo of all shampoos. Def sticking with this one a little lathers up a bunch. I can go 2-3 days without looking like an oily mess. And it makes my hair smell soo good. Def worth the money if youre tired of your hair having build up.emily p.
So, I hesitated about writing this review because I don’t like to complain, and I did love this product when I first purchased it. My hair was soft, smelled great, and I even had people commenting on the health & shine it had. I loved this product so much I stocked up on it.
About a year into using this shampoo and conditioner duo along with the leave in treatment I noticed an unusual amount of hair fall. I thought nothing of it assuming it was my hair screaming at me for the heat/hair dye ect. However, I noticed it more and more and after 6 months of extreme shedding I decided I should look into what was going on. First i started taking supplements (Womens vitamins and biotin) assuming it was my dreadful diet to blame. No change. I put a shower head filter in to filter my shower water. No change. Then I went cold turkey on heat styling, and stopped using hair dye. Nothing seemed to help. I even bought different ‘it’s a 10’ products to try to “strengthen” my hair. I attempted to not wash my hair but once a week… still incredible amounts of fall out. I was lost. Finally I changed shampoo. I started noticing in the shower less and less fall out, soon brushing my hair produced less wads of hair to clean from my brush. It seems I have found the culprit. I have spent 6 months trying to identify what I was doing wrong, and all signs point to “it’s a 10”.
I’m posting this not out of anger, or spite, but because everywhere I looked I saw “how great” this product is …. I even asked my hair dresser what she recommended for hair fall and she asked what I use and I told her “it’s a 10” and she raves about how great the product is.
my hair is incredibly thin and I have little baby regrowth. I don’t want someone else to go through what I did and change shampoo when it’s too late. So if u r using it’s a 10 and noticing a lot of fall out… maybe it just doesn’t work for us?

I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It's a shame so many people left 1 star reviews because it just didn't work for them. It would be different if there was something wrong with customer service or the product itself. However, with skin care, nail care, and hair care so much of whether or not it'll work for you is left biology and body chemistry and you have to try different products to find the one that works with yours. Ok so! I love this shampoo. This has been the only shampoo to clean my hair and bot dry it out. My natural gwols know how frustrating it can be to wash, moisturize and style your hair and then it be dry and toe up the next. I know how it feels to buy a hundred plus dollars of products to be disappointed or mixing them with new products so money isn't wasted. I washed my hair the first day I bought this and fell in love. My hair was soft. It didn't dry out after and the tea tree leave-in…girl use that too! I haven't tried the detailing conditioner yet because they were out of stock when I purchased. Probably because of that half off sale. I did find that this and Taliah's apple aloe deep conditioner work well together. My hair was shiny, easy to comb and style. I also used the Tgin moisturizer. I have a mix of 4b and 4c hair. My daughter's has 4b hair and it works perfect for her. Her wash and go's hold all day even after recess and a long day at school. My sister has used a nice amount of the leave in and moisturizer, now I have to buy more lol. I am going to try the honey mask and the anti-breakage serum. I will be leaving reviews also. I want to note I am leaving this review after a few weeks of using. I like to get a feel. I washed my hair with the Taliah apple aloe shampoo and it was giving dry and not for me. Let me start off my by saying this product is AMAZINGGGGG ! I usually have a very hard time finding the right products for my hair especially when it comes to shampoo . My hair is usually VERY dry and soaks up moisture QUICK most shampoos tend to leave my hair even more dry and brittle feeling. this shampoo along with the conditioner has done wonders for my hair. I have moderately frizzy but mostly straight Caucasian hair and I've been using natural, sulfate/paraben free shampoos for a year or so now. I like TGIN because it makes my hair SUPER silky and soft. The conditioner detangles so well that I can easily wide tooth comb my hair straight out of the shower. However, my hair does feel very heavy and has NO volume whatsoever after using this. I also have to wash more frequently as my hair gets oily way faster, oily to the point it looks bad. I used to have dry, frizzy unmanageable curly hair (3b). I've tried nearly every product for curly hair and *nothing* has worked like this leave-in. My hair is now shiny and smooth, but retains my curls too. I can actually brush through my hair on no-wash days and my curls maintain their shape. With other products, my curls would fall and get frizzy by mid-day. I know everyone responds uniquely to products, but I am so happy to to find my holy grail! Other reviews mentioned to use it sparingly; I use it very, very liberally. My hair soaks up leave-in conditioner so I probably use 10 pumps, concentrating on the crown and ends. I do t understand some of these reviews, like it not being thick? This is a very thick leave in and you really need to use sparingly. I feel like if you actually put enough in to coat the majority of your hair to reap the benefits you would have a greasy head full of hair. I got this because I was a bit on protein overload and while my hair has felt softer it's not done anything to repeat or seal split ends like it claims. Doing a bunch of research after this issue I've found that although coconut oil is a big fad it is actually not good for a lot of hair types. ESPECIALLY if your dealing with excess protein in your hair, it will make the problem worse since coconut oil causes protein buildup. Wish I had know that before purchasing. Seeing as how so many products have coconut oil in them that's probably how I wound up in the mess to begin with. Just a FYI for anyone else that may be having the same issue. Now I do like TGIN repair mask, although I don't like the smell necessarily, I also don't get the amazing smell others claim regarding this leave in?! The first time I tried this it was based on a recommendation from my daughter. I had never even heard of this brand before. The curl conditioner and the curl shampoo are nothing less than miraculous. I am in love with both of these products. I went to visit my mom recently. I was pulling my teardrop camper so I just wanted travel sizes. I thought I could make do for a week using some other products I had in travel sizes. No. No. No. I ended up going out and buying new bottles because I couldn’t stand to be without them.carla.b
So I was very hesitant to try this shampoo because of some of the reviews but now I regret not trying it sooner. Some of the complaints are that it doesn’t get your hair clean and i feel like that may be true if you’ve only ever used shampoos with silicones and switch to this. You have to use the clarifying shampoo first if you have never used silicone free before otherwise the moisture won’t get to your hair because of the silicone still left on your hair strands. This shampoo makes my hair so soft and has such a luxurious lather. I didn’t think I would like the nozzle but the shampoo is a thinner consistency so it comes out easily and deposits right on the scalp. I think I’ve finally found my holy grail shampoo. My hair is no longer frizzy and my curls are defined. You have to try it!paigespink
The one good thing about this shampoo is the packaging. The product goes directly onto the scalp with the perfectly sized nozzle. That's it though. The shampoo smells like men's deodorant. The smell doesn't fade, either. The shampoo doesn't rinse clean. My hands and hair felt oily and heavily conditioned just from the shampoo. It left a film on my hair that seemed to make it fall straight down. All of my waves and curls hung limply, with no definition, lots of frizz, and just awful. Got this first trial and I am really impressed by this. Had this for a week putting on and letting it sit for couple of minutes, then washed it off. The flakes have seems to have gone away. Goes great with an after conditioner. The smell is great and has given great results. I haven't seen any dandruff in a while. I have never tried this brand before and was expecting the color to be blue which doesn't matter just something I expected. With my first use, I expected a bit more substance as I squirted it in my hand and I quickly realized I needed more to get a good lather going on top my head. I am a male with very short hair and a quarter-sized squirt of many shampoos is good enough for me but definitely had to almost double the squirt of Selsun Blue. When I began using this I didn't currently have any dandruff or visible flakes. I was just at the beginning stage of this winters harsh dry air giving me a random twinge here and there on my scalp that I have come to recognize every year as the onset of dry, itchy scalp and the dreaded dandruff if left untreated. I can say that this helped stop those twinges. This shampoo made my dandruff disappear within a week. It’s fast, efficient and cost effective . I used it on my bleach blonde hair without it stripping my color . It conditioned well, however I would recommend you still conditioning your hair with your favorite conditioner for a smoother less tangly look. I used to have dry, frizzy unmanageable curly hair (3b). I've tried nearly every product for curly hair and *nothing* has worked like this leave-in. My hair is now shiny and smooth, but retains my curls too. I can actually brush through my hair on no-wash days and my curls maintain their shape. With other products, my curls would fall and get frizzy by mid-day. I know everyone responds uniquely to products, but I am so happy to to find my holy grail! Other reviews mentioned to use it sparingly; I use it very, very liberally. My hair soaks up leave-in conditioner so I probably use 10 pumps, concentrating on the crown and ends. I do t understand some of these reviews, like it not being thick? This is a very thick leave in and you really need to use sparingly. I feel like if you actually put enough in to coat the majority of your hair to reap the benefits you would have a greasy head full of hair. I got this because I was a bit on protein overload and while my hair has felt softer it's not done anything to repeat or seal split ends like it claims. Doing a bunch of research after this issue I've found that although coconut oil is a big fad it is actually not good for a lot of hair types. ESPECIALLY if your dealing with excess protein in your hair, it will make the problem worse since coconut oil causes protein buildup. Wish I had know that before purchasing. Seeing as how so many products have coconut oil in them that's probably how I wound up in the mess to begin with. Just a FYI for anyone else that may be having the same issue. Now I do like TGIN repair mask, although I don't like the smell necessarily, I also don't get the amazing smell others claim regarding this leave in?! Maybe I got a bad bottle but mine has very slight of any scent and it certainly isn't amazing.. Oh wow. I see now why this is always sold out on Ipsy points lol! I’ve had this for a while but used it once and forgot about it. I’ve been on a strict finishing my products and it’s now this guys turn… I shampoo, condition my hair, apply this on my damp hair and put a hair towel on to let the product sink in. After a few minutes I use a hair dryer and then I use a Soleil round blow drying brush. I SWEAR I feel like I went to the salon and it’s all because of this product!!!!!!! I love this shampoo. Smells good, and the lather just feels luxurious, trust me. Cleanses well and feels great on my hair. My issue- I got the smaller bottle, ulta was out of the big size at the time of purchase. I paired it with the larger conditioner which is fine, I use more conditioner anyway. But the shampoo squeezy bottle is slightly loose on the cap closure and so I can't store this on my shower shelf, I gotta do cap up so I don't risk spillage. I bought the 9oz bottle but I wish I'd bought the mini 1st to test it out. I like it a lot and it truly does hydrate your hair, however, it did nothing for my scalp. My scalp leans on the dry side, in turn leading to dry hair. I have natural 4C hair by the way. It was different having moisturized hair but a scalp that isn't and this is not the fault of the product. I chose the wrong one for my hair needs. I'm bi-racial with thick naturally curly hair and have tried a lot of different brands but would get the same disappointing result, dried out and feels like straw. I looked at this while shopping at Ulta and a sales person was next to me and told me that it works well for my 3B hair. The sales person had tight curly hair. Since I work hard for my money I didn't want to get a big one right away so I got a trial size to try to see how this works. I need it to be moisturizing and not too much or it will make my hair greasy. When I tried it over the weekend, I could easily slip my fingers though my hair easily so I can get it everywhere. I remember using this as a child back when I was in elementary school. I was never a big fan of 2 in 1 shampoos and conditioners. I have very thick and coarse hair so products like these are a nightmare for me. My hair would always be left tangled and very difficult to manage. I definitely wouldn't recommend this anyone with my same hair type.

I normally love this brand, but this shampoo was junk. The charcoal separated from shampoo, no matter how hard I shock. So I'd get gel and black in diff handfuls. After rinsing out, the charcoal would stay in my hair and stain items I laid my head on. Keep in mind I'm very thorough at rinsing and separate hair to make sure everything is out. The black was stubborn. Not only did it separate, not rinse well and stain, it also didn't make my hair feel clean at all. I can't say if it helps color treated hair. I have enjoyed Acure's products in the past, before they updated their packaging within the last year or so. But, when they "fancied up" their packaging, they cheapened down their products and they aren't what they used to be. I was expecting this product to be moisturizing to my hair, but it makes my hair feel dry and straw-like. While my hair is still wet, it feels like my hair would feel moisturized when it dries. I regularly use Pura D'Or ACV shampoo and conditioner. I love it. However since my hair is high-maintenance needing moisture I use a lot of conditioner. I decided to order just a bottle of conditioner alone. I tried a different type to see how alternating two different lines would benefit my hair. I know that some ingredients have different properties. The number one ingredient in the ACV conditioner is aloe vera. I have been using this shampoo for YEARS. When i first experienced clumps of hair shed I used it and immediately it halted my hair shed by half. My roots also felt lifted. It's not a miracle but it save a lot of my hair. What really helped my hair is cutting A LOT of hair off basically into a pixie cut, and getting blood work and finding the cause. For me I had severe iron deficiency anemia and never took any supplements for it. For years I had broken thin hair, that barely reached my nose in the front, Frankenstein mullet. My doctor ordered a prescription for iron and I got other pixie cut and treating my hair gently. I followed my prescription exactly. Used this shampoo, good conditioner, a weekly mask and pinned my hair up frequently to avoid friction but I blowout my hair every week with heat protectant. One year later and all of my hair goes past my chin and no bald spots. So major and life changing my boyfriend teases me saying he blinked and my hair grew. It's not thick and long but I have a good thickness lob now. I am extremely happy. Correcting my severe anemia was the biggest help to my hair but this shampoo helped control the damage. (Also my fatigue, pica, 15 hour slumbers and my inability to run with getting winded instantly gone with my iron prescription) This shampoo helped me keep the little hair I had over the years and I still use it. I bought this (just the shampoo) for myself while Christmas shopping because I have thinning hair and an alopecia spot. it's been two months and I'm almost done with my first bottle. I wash my hair every other day. I started to notice I have little hairs poking out at my part that I can't lay flat. I was getting frustrated but then realized they are new baby hairs. I looked at my alopecia spot and I have thin sparse regrowth in that area which is a miracle because I haven't had any hair there in over five years. I bought this item in a travel size at regis salon because I have recently gotten platinum highlights in my dirty blonde hair. I have washed it about twice since I got it done so I had a small trace of brassiness going on in my hair. I didn't want to pay the ridiculous amount of money it costs to purchase the full bottle so I thought I would give this a try. First off, it does not have a lot of pigment to it. I'm not sure if this is supposed to really tone the hair, but it seems like it's supposed to enhance and brighten it. It is a light blue color and I left it on my hair for a few minutes, and I didn't see any difference to the tone of my hair. It made my hair feel like straw and it was dry and crunchy. It also left a weird film on my scalp which felt gross after a while, when I don't have much of an oily scalp on days where I wash and the following day. I am so glad I didn't purchase the full size bottle that retails for about $30. I would not recommend this to others, you can get a better value with other drugstore products that work better than this did for me.jackie.u
I switched to sulfate free shampoo after my stylist suggested it. She swears by Pureology but I only would buy cheaper ones that I could get from drugstores. I noticed a little difference in my hair. But then I purchased this shampoo from ulta when I had a coupon and now I won't use anything else. My hair is super thick & highlighted every 6-8 weeks but this shampoo keeps it healthy, soft, & shiny. Yes it's more expensive initially but it's concentrated. A big bottle lasts for months & months. I highly recommend this shampoo & the Pureology brand. My only issue I've had was with the last bottle I purchased from Ulta was super watery, so I had to send it back and get another one. If you have any blonde highlights this is your shampoo! It’s a violet blue but it’s safe to use everyday unlike most shampoos to keep the yellow brass out. It smells amazing, keeps my dark fresh, and my blonde looking vibrant! I’m so glad I found his brand. At first I did not like the low lather/low foam compared to other shampoos. But rubbung in your hands then applying to your hair gets your hair clean…even with lower foam. I thought I couldn't tell a difference between this shampoo and Redken's Frizz Dismiss; but when I stopped using this and the conditioner and went back to Frizz Dismiss; I could tell a big difference. This tames frizz better, conditions hair and maintains curl. I love the Curvaceous Spiral Curl gel too!Pam
I have some natural curl, as my hair becomes more grey/white it doesn't have as much curl, this shampoo and conditioner helps to keep the curl and manage it as well. I can't begin to say how much I LOVE this! I'm in my 40s, just entered meno, and my hair has recently turned more curly then ever. I have type 2B/2C hair, and I've been searching for YEARS to find the right product combination for my hair. My search is now over. I use the curvaceous shampoo followed by the curvaceous conditioner. Sometimes I rinse the conditioner out and sometimes I leave it in. You do not have to use too much of either. I have shoulder length hair and only use a dime size of each. I squeeze my hair dry with a towel, then put about HALF a dime size of the swirl cream serum on my hands and run that through my hair (avoiding the roots). Then, I diffuse my hair. I use the reactivating spray throughout the day as needed. My hair has never looked better. I have received so many compliments. I’m one to put conditioner on my hair and leave it on for 5-20 minutes depending on how I feel. My hair feels absolutely amazing when I use the conditioner. I’ve tried to stay away from coconut oil products but this product is great. Would defiantly recommend this to any curly girl! I love the pump it makes it easy to use especially since I wash my hair in the sink and water often runs over my eyes. The packaging is super cute and the coconut image across the top band let me know without having to read that there is coconut something in it. My hair did feel a lot softer after I used it.
