I have a fine, thin and arm-length hair that lack volume snd that require daily washing (thanks to the genes in my family). I have used many, maany professional hair products to find which one would work best for me, many of them being professional brands and higher on the price range. Had my hopes high with this one, but unfortunately they were not met. The good things are the bigger amount (300ml vs standard 250ml) and not too strong scent. These are the pluses for the conditioner and shampoo. Unfortunately the conditioner is too heavy in my opinion and despite washing it off properly it still weighs down my hair plus I really have to wash it the next day (which with other brands sometimes doesn’t happen). I also noticed that my hair became more frizzy and just not looking good.. I will try to finish the bottle (half way through!) but won’t repurchase.Alicja
I do not have fine or thin hair, but it isn't course or thick – I just have a lot of it. I switched to the Super Dry Shampoo before turning their shampoo/conditioner and loved it…now I don't even have to use it unless I want a little refresh but overall I am good to go. My first impression of the smell from the bottles was not favorable, but when it is activated with water and applied to scalp and hair, it smells unbelievable. I love fragrances and everything I buy must be scented. After shampooing with the detox shampoo and conditioning with Ouai for fine hair – I hair and scalp feel cleaner than ever. I am a hair product junkie and love to find products that allow my hair to be at its best. For the record, I have wavy hair that tends to be dry and frizzy at times. After shampooing with Extra Love Shampoo, I applied the conditioner for about 3 minutes. My hair felt soft and healthy which was exactly how it looked when it was dried. I have natural curly hair, and using the IGK Extra Love Shampoo was not what I expected. It had a floral-like scent which was nice. The texture was creamy. Once I applied it, it did not lather. I massaged it on my scalp and roots, but it felt like all it did was dry up my hair. I don’t feel like my hair is clean, since I’m my hair feels more like it was stripped off its oils. Ok – IGK does it AGAIN! This haircare brand can do no wrong in my book. My hair is thin and usually gets pretty oiling fast so I am quite picky about my shampoo because I need that super clean, but not stripped hair kinda clean. I have thin hair, but plenty of it. And I actually bought this conditioner to try out before it was sent to me by Influenster, so I have a whole other bottle in waiting and I am really happy about this! This conditioner is thick and creamy and does a great job of making my hair soft and smooth and hydrated after using the matching shampoo, which can strip it down a bit. It smells nice (fresh and flowery, not heavy at all), and most importantly, my hair looks and feels great after washing. For me, I have to pick a conditioner with little to no silicones because it just weighs my hair down so fast. This one does not do that at all – my hair feels soft and light after it’s dry, really healthy feeling. It didn’t add volume for me, but I don’t think conditioner can really do that – the important thing is that it didn’t weigh my hair down and make it looks sad and flat and greasy. My hair looks voluminous because there’s no weight, I love it. I also think this shampoo and conditioner are really reasonably priced for a more mid-range salon brand. I was really disappointed in this shampoo that I purchased as part of a volumebloom set. I have fine hair (chin length) and expected volume. My hair unfortunately remained flat, even after blow-drying with a quality hair dryer. My hair found its soulmate! My first impression was a great one; beautiful and sleek bottle design. I popped open the cap and let my sense of smell guide me and I was extremely pleased. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. That being said, transitioning into warmer, humid spring/summer weather, I’m really pleased to have found this product. It’ll be great for clean summer hair.jessicaeve1023
For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. I started useing Purad'or as a recommendation from a close friend. She suggested I tried this collection of hair products as I was using more expensive ones and she thought I could get similar or better results. After trying Purad'or Biotin Shampoo 2x Concentrated for a couple of weeks I have been happy with the results so far. To start, it has this wonderful aroma. Not only as soon as you open the bottle but when you start applying in on your hair. It is easy to use as when you apply to your hair, it didn't dry out my hair like other shampoo's tend to in the middle of the wash. I like that you can see that it actually washes from the scalp, leaving it all nice and clean. If you like a nice lather then you will love this shampoo as it gives you a beautiful lather to work with. Another great thing that I really like is all the natural ingredients that is has like biotin, argan oil, aloe vera and tea tree oil to name a few. Shampoo smells a little like tea tree oil but the smell goes away after using the conditioner. The shampoo feels a little tingly on my scalp and gives me that refreshing feeling. So far I really like this shampoo and I love that the ingredients are natural and all the harmful chemicals that are usually put in hair care was left out. I have noticed my hair thinning over the past year or more and tried a number of different products – none of which did any good whatsoever. Plantur 39 Shampoo and conditioner are both good to use. They have a nice smell and the shampoo makes my hair feel as if it has more bulk to it. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling nice and soft. I have been using the Tonic for about a month now and think there is some improvement but very slow progress. My wife has been suffering hair loss & dry hair & I can honestly say that I have bought this product more than once for her & it's worth every penny. I only purchased this recently as I am going through the menopause and losing loads of hair. Every time I wash it, I get handfuls coming out. I kept seeing adverts for this shampoo and thought I would look it up and give it a go. I have only used it twice so far so cannot comment on whether it will work or not as I am still losing quite a bit of hair. I am in love with Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo! This is my first time trying Pureology and I had no idea what to expect. The first thing I noticed about the smooth perfection shampoo was the scent, I loved the hints of cocoa. Upon first application I decided to use a small amount and I am glad I did, a little bit goes a long way with this shampoo. I have really long hair and I only had to use a quarter size amount or less. I want to point out that I always have to use a handful of shampoo when I use my usual drugstore brand, so I was shocked by how little I had to use of the pureology. I massaged the shampoo in my hair for a good 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. My hair felt so soft and clean without feeling stripped at all. I typically have a lot of fallout when I wash my hair, but noticed less strands of hair coming out while washing. I followed up by using the pureology smooth perfection conditioner. I also use a quarter size amount or less and it was more than enough. I focused this conditioner at the ends of my hair and put whatever was leftover on my roots. I let the conditioner sit for the recommend time of 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. I felt like it took no time to wash all of the conditioner out. My hair was less tangled and overall felt so much healthier than what I am used to. I used the smoothing lotion on the ends of my hair, blow dried my hair and was so amazed by the end result. The end result after I blow dried and straightened my hair was incredible. My hair was less frizzy and more straight making it so easy to straighten. I would like to add that my hair is very wavy/curly and frizzy after washing. The price for the Pureology Smooth Perfection set is a bit expensive, but honestly it is worth every penny. I got this product complimentary from Influenster and Pureology for my honest review. I really loved how this product worked for my hair. It left it so smooth and silky. It lathered really nicely and felt great when I washed it. It also rinsed out nice and easy and left my scalp feeling great. When I blew my hair dry it was like silk. Absolutely fabulous! Only negative, which I was REALLY surprised about, was the scent of this product. It was not pleasant at all to me and not something like I’ve ever smelled in a shampoo. I didn’t like it and for me that is important in a shampoo. I have other Pureology products and love their scents. it’s just this one that I couldn’t tolerate. Otherwise, I love how the product works, but due to the scent I would not buy this product. Sorry but it’s just my honest opinion. I received this product from influencer pureology, but all opinions are completely my own. I have enjoyed using this shampoo. I find that the combination of the shampoo conditioner does help smooth my long hair and does really help smooth frizz. The shampoo cleanes hair great, good lather though it can make hair feel only slightly stripped. Conditioner is a nice one that helps smooth but doesn't overdo it and cause hair to feel heavy. Both help cleanse and Condition my hair without feeling too dry or too weighed down. The heat protectant from this line is nice and I feel it helps smooth hair and help make it somewhat softer. I tried this line of products and have been having issues with hair breakage and thinning. Couldn't believe how good my hair looked with full shampoo and conditioner! Hair is waist length colored and fine by the way. I tried this because it said no sulfates, phalates, silicones etc. if you read the label it's a bunch of other chemicals basically. So first couple days I thought I found my new holy grail. Then my head started itching. So much hair was coming out in the brush too. But I kept using for a week to see if maybe hair just needed to adjust. The itching got worse and hair that fell out was just snapping in two when I did strength test by stretching it. Overall it made my hair look amazing, but dried it out to no end and made my scalp itch so bad I thought I must have bed bugs or lice. I paired this with the matching shampoo. I've only used both once, but I am surprised at how shiny, sleek and bouncy my hair has turned out. I air dry my hair, after soaking up excess moisture with a microfibre towel. I don't heat style, so for this to give me an almost blow dried effect is really impressive. I normally have a bit of a wave to my hair, but this seems to straighten my hair a little, because it's so smoothing. The surprising thing is that it smoothes the hair, but gives volume. My hair has volume at the root and it still does the second day after sleeping on it. It hasn't lost bounce or volume, so it fulfill its claims. I was worried it would leave a film or be too heavy, based on the previous review, but honestly my hair feels light and clean. I have long, thick, coarse, wavy, dry, color treated hair and most shampoos feel like they completely strip my hair and make it feel like straw. This shampoo felt very creamy and like it was nourishing my hair, which has been a welcomed experience. I also notice that because my hair isn't so dry it's not producing excess oil. I wash my hair every 4-5 days and typically by day 2 and on I have to use dry shampoo to combat my oils, but since using this I haven't touched my dry shampoo. I even began to question when the last time I washed my hair was and if I was even due for a hair washing, when normally I am urning for clean hair after days worth of dry shampoo and oils have piled up on my hair. I find that a little bit goes a long way, which helps justify the cost. It doesn't have an overwhelming scent and I love the gentle lather it gives me. I enjoy a little bit of lather, which many sulfate free shampoos do not provide. I also found that my hair looked shiner and was less frizzy. Some of this could be due to the conditioner, which to be honest I'm not sure I love. I find that I have to use a lot of product just to condition my hair and my hair feels slightly weighed down, but maybe that is just a signal that my hair actually getting hydrated. To be fair to the conditioner, I tend to use a hair mask in place of a conditioner regularly so I will have to see if this line offers a deep conditioning mask. This is my second time buying this product and I’m pretty disappointed this time. It’s advertised as an 8.45 oz bottle in the title of the product description and I received a 6.7 fl oz. I paid the same price for a 10.11 fl oz bottle a few months prior. Also the formula is off, it’s not mixing in my hair and is just sitting on top of my head. Okay so the shampoo is fine when it comes to cleaning. It doesn't make ur hair super dry but it's also not hydrating. But I don't have healthy hair at all, it's been severely bleach damaged and porous. So the only way I can think someone can use the whole line is if they have noodle bleached hair. My hair has been getting very dull and I have tried several shampoos that say they help with that issue. Even one that claims to help "mature hair" that has lost its luster etc. This L'Oreal product really does make my hair shiny and healthier/ stronger feeling. I bought this at the recommendation of my colorist, and if a professional recommended it, you know it's good. At first I was hesitant to replace the conditioner that I've been using for the last 3 years – I regularly get my hair bleached and toned to silver (from naturally black hair) so aftercare is extremely important. I have a pretty strict hair regimen that I follow to keep my hair moisturized, and tangle and split end free. This conditioner went beyond my expectations. It is ultra hydrating, smells great (it has a citrus scent), and more importantly the results last. When I apply it to my hair, it immediately makes it slick and easy to detangle with my fingers. I then leave it on for 3-5 minutes and do the rest of my shower routine. After my shower, my hair is soft and easy to brush through. What's even more surprising is that my hair actually retains the moisture from this conditioner over time. I only wash my hair 2-3x a week and normally it starts feeling dry on the second or third day and I need to use hair oil, but with this conditioner my hair has continued to be manageable and hydrated even after time has passed. This stuff is absolutely amazing. I've used entire tubs of 60 dollar hair masks, 30 dollar conditioners for 4 ounces, and many conditioners at or around the price point of this conditioner for less ounces. This conditioner is 28 USD for 8 oz. I spent years basically torturing my hair. I dyed it weekly and bleached it often constantly putting color in and bleaching it out. I used ethnic hair relaxers that literally melted my hair because of the lye. So the last 3 years i did highlights or lowlights twice a year if that. I washed my hair the day after my roots got too oily to manage which was every 4 to 6 days. But I have extremely thick and curly hair that I blow dry and flat iron on wash day and flat iron or curl or crimp on every day in between. There was nothing i could do about that as I hate my curls more than the damage and the curl pattern was beyond broken anyway from the years of flat ironing daily. Despite all of the conditioning treatments, heat protectants, smoothing treatments, and styling products used my hair had a ton of breakage and split ends and when I washed my hair it knotted up and without two rounds of a lot of conditioner there would be no coming back from it. Really really good conditioner! I splurged on the big bottle and didn't regret it a bit. It's very concentrated so I don't have to use a ton, even when my hair is longer. This is one of those products you should not rinse out entirely, leave at least a little bit in your hair for the best effect. It really helps to give the appearance of fuller hair while still looking natural. It's not a volumizing product so it doesn't enhance that or add texture, but makes the hair look denser.

I received the L'Oreal Paris EverPure Glossing System on 22 February and began using it on 23 February. Because I wanted to give this product a fair shake, I stopped using any other haircare products during this trial, and used the EverPure system exclusively, with the exception of one moisture treatment halfway through the trial. The Shampoo has a light, pleasant, floral scent, lathers well, and rinses easily. In the beginning, it left my hair feeling dry and matted, though this was quickly remedied by the Acidic Glaze and Glossing Conditioner. After 3 or 4 uses, as my hair grew accustomed to the product, the matting stopped and my hair was much softer, even before conditioning. While I did not find the Shampoo extraordinarily hydrating for my fine, dry, color-treated hair, I will say it adds exceptional shine without any feeling heavy or greasy, and my hair color has not faded through this trial. I received this product free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This system includes the shampoo, glaze, and conditioner. I’ve been using all three products about 3x per week for about a month now. Right off the bat, I noticed the wonderful scent. It reminds me of the perfume “Calyx”, a very bright, citrus, and green scent. The scent is one of the best qualities of this shampoo and it does linger through the day! The shampoo lathers up very nicely and rinses clean. The glossing glaze is easy to use and using it doesn’t lengthen shower time since I usually just shave and wash during the treatment time. I layer the conditioner over the top of the glaze pretty immediately and allow the two products to work together. After about 4 minutes, I rinse all products out of my hair. My hair has been super soft since using this color care system. My color seems brighter and has had less fade than with other shampoos and conditioners. I purchased both shampoo & conditioner. Before I bought Living Proof 3 purchases ago. I have been on a hunt for a shampoo that would go great with my hair. I wanted to switch off from the drug store products like dove because it was breaking my hair so much & my hair just ultimately got thin wether from bleaching my hair or genetics. Either way we all know that the drug store products can strip your hair. On Living proofs website they have this hair test where it can help you figure out what hair products they have will be good for your hair type. My hair is fine, thin, brittle and super straight. I wanted more fullness in my hair & so far my hair does not have a lot of breakage anymore, I have more hair growth. I wash my hair every 2-3 days (yes, that's still a lot to some of you hahaha) but my hair used to get super oily the 1st day before using Living Proof. Now, I can maintain it within those days & within those days although my hair gets slightly oily it still feels/smells clean. I bleach the daylights out of my hair on a regular basis and use Pravana's line of color enhancers which is great for maintaining the blonde but is rough on the hair. I switched diet around and got on supplements to help aid in healing my hair but it was still very lackluster. My stylist is a hardcore Paul mitchell fan and recommended this and dear lord does it deliver. I went from soggy spaghetti to a full on lions mane. I have very fine hair. I can wrap a normal hair band around ALL my hair 4-5 times it's so fine. This shampoo was recommended to me and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. My hair definitely feels thicker and fuller. It does more than just about any volumizing shampoo I've ever tried. I really like the scent too, but I'm a fan of citrus so that wasn't a surprise. It isn't an overpowering scent, but it is pleasant. The cons I see are that it makes my hair somewhat coarse or rough (maybe that's how it gets thicker??). Does what it claims as far as aesthetics, plus it has a nice light lemon scent. My hair did look nice and full when using this, and it didn't weigh it down at all. I have very fine and thin hair, so it's common for products to be too heavy for me. However, after about a month and a half of use I noticed my scalp getting a little flaky. I normally have a very oily scalp (and skin in general) and don't typically have any issue with dandruff. My scalp was also slightly tender if I scratched it. So unfortunately I think this product crosses the line from volumizing into drying and stripping. Maybe alternating this shampoo with a moisturizing or scalp-care one would work, but I would personally rather find an all-in-one product. Hopefully this is a helpful review because I address some of the complaints I saw before writing this. My hair stylist suggested I use this shampoo, however because I have an extremely sensitive scalp( I even have to use steroids on my scalp a couple times a week) so I still only use Free&Clean shampoo & conditioner directly on my scalp which I wash twice because of oil build up. But then I use the Redken Blue Toning shampoo on the rest of my hair just not the scalp.. my hair is down to my butt and very thick and wavy so I use a lot of product. I've read reviews saying it doesn't lather, but honestly it lathers really well and I'm guessing they must have so much oil in their hair they haven't done a quick wash and rinse first or use too much daily product so they probably need to wash twice anyways. I have the shampoo sit on my hair for 5 minutes. During that time I rinse off the shower curtain and walls to wash away the blue (c'mon people… it will only stain if you let it sit) then I rinse out and have the conditioner sit for 5 minutes and it is NIGHT & DAY from when I used to get highlights. I started using this right after highlights and after almost 2 months my color still looks perfect without the brassy or red. I wished I had this the past 10 years because my hair has faded copper/brassy my whole life. I'm obsessed and will continue using on all my hair and just avoiding the scalp! I have thin natural hair which gets dirty every day, so I wash it every morning. With previous formula of this shampoo I could wash my hair once per two days and it really gave me a little volume. But now I don't get any kind of volume, my hair is flat. I use this shampoo with Redken Volume conditioner and my hair don't feel any volume at all. Also my hair gets greasy by the end of a day. When I first used this shampoo I hated how it felt. I thought it made my hair feel limp, almost sticky, and a bit greasy. I decided to keep using it since it didn't irritate my skin (I'm very sensitive and shampoos can cause eczema flares for me) and after 2 weeks of daily use I've noticed an incredible change in the feeling and appearance of my hair. Gone is the weird sticky feeling and now my hair is soft, shiny, bouncy, and healthy. My ends feel hydrated and so soft. I've even noticed less hairfall in the shower and in my brush as well. My scalp — normally irritated and itchy — feels normal and healthy. I think this shampoo is so gentle that if you were using something laden with silicones before it doesn't get the buildup off. I am always amazed at the range of Kiehl's products – from daily skin care, to treatments, rich body care, family toiletry products, and hair care as well. I've been a fan of Kiehl's skincare for some time, but had never tried any of the haircare until I was given the Amino Acid Shampoo and Conditioner. This shampoo contains amino acid and coconut oil to clean the hair gently, as well as wheat proteins and wheat starch which are claimed to add body. It is described as suitable for all hair types and as a mild shampoo, gentle enough to use every day. It is free of silicone and parabens I am instantly attracted to anything coconut, it reminds me of the beach and summertime. So I would probably still like this product even if it didn't live up to it's claims! Fortunately, I am happy to report that it does. My hair, which is straight, quite fine but abundant, and coloured, felt soft and silky afterwards, and still had it's usual body. There was no issue at all with it feeling "weighed down" or limp – and I do know what that feels like, whenever I have my hair coloured. I have fairly dry, coloured hair with a slightly oily scalp, but both scalp and ends felt perfectly clean after using Amino Acid. It might be counter-intuitive to think of coconut oil with an oily scalp, but in this case it works.\n\nThe lather – I have to say it doesn't lather quite as well as my usual shampoo but, with an oily scalp, I naturally double shampoo. The first shampoo to remove any excess oil, the second to really clean the hair. On the second shampoo, with Amino Acid the lather is rich and creamy, exactly as I want, but also easy to rinse out. The coconut scent afterwards is wonderful, it lingers but is not overpowering. There is nothing better than having been at the beach, hot and sticky, and then washing all of that away with a coconut-scented product. It reminds me of those times.\n\nThe packaging is fairly plain, on the face of it – just a plastic bottle, but what I really like about Kiehl's packaging is the trademark cursive writing, and the fact that all the ingredients and directions are right there conveniently on the bottle,not on a leaflet, so you can read them clearly.\n\nThe price is the only drawback – it is very high for a product that will be used as often as a shampoo. So I would recommend that people use it as I do – as an extra summer shampoo for those times when you have been in the pool every day and need to step up the shampooing. \n\nAnne F.
I waited awhile to do this review, I wanted to see how my hair responded to using Kiehl's Since 1851 Amino Acid Shampoo and Conditioner. I have been using it for 5 months now and I am impressed. I have always been "cheap" when it has come to shampoo and conditioner, but I was having a lot of issues with my hair. My volume was flat, my natural waves always seemed limp, and the worst part was that every time I brushed or washed my hair I was pulling out clumps. I switched to Kiehl's and it is like night and day. My natural waves are back, my hair is growing back in areas where my hair was thinning, my hair isn't falling out by the bunches anymore and my hair is soft and has volume again. I also noticed that I have less issues with my hair feeling and looking greasy and I didn't even realize that was an issue prior to the switch. This became my everyday shampoo for when I wanted a good cleanse, soft strands and volume. I have an oily scalp problem. While it doesn't help delay the oil production, this is able to provide a thorough cleanse, leaving my hair (and the room) with this refreshing orange blossom scent. My most favourite thing about it is that it adds a little Zhoosh to my locks. My hair looks bouncy, with volume and, feels lightweight. It's silicone & sulphate free, and doesn't lather much. The one issue I do have with this is that since the formulation is runny and light, I have to use a considerable amount each time. Before meeting this amazing shampoo, I had been using a drugstore shampoo + conditioner for 6 years which were claiming to be sulfate-free. They changed their ingredients, I ended up with little dandruff, itchiness and hair loss. I made my research and found Briogeo! I read a lot about Briogeo's founder Nancy and hooked by her mission. I decided to give these products a try. I have been using the Blossom and Bloom Ginseng+ Biotin Shampoo + Conditioner + Don't Despair, Repair Hair Oil for about 2 months. My scalp gets oily the second day after washing. So, I wash my hair every other day, or sometimes even skip one more day even if it looks oily. This combination of products gives my thin, wavy(type: 2A) baby soft hair more volume and more shine. My hair now grows stronger and does not feel brittle while brushing. My sensitive scalp does not itch anymore. I must admit that the conditioner makes my hair slightly oily the next day, but I prefer the shiny head to a dry & itchy scalp 🙂
I had high hopes for this shampoo but it’s terrible for oily hair. My hair gets quite oily and dirty and I normally wash it every 3 days, I had never had issues with my other shampoos to cleanse my hair in the past but I did with this shampoo. There was nearly no bubbles even when I rub it in my palms before applying to my hair, and so it’s extremely difficult to clean my hair. The first time I had to use 4 pumps to even get my hair clean! Which is a lot considering how small the bottle is honestly. I haven’t had any noticeable difference either in terms of hair volume or texture, so I’ll strongly suggest that you don’t buy it, and especially DONT if you have oily hair because this shampoo doesn’t even clean it well. Prior to transitioning to this shampoo, I experienced hair loss, breakage, dryness, and dullness in my hair and I was constantly sad and depressed over the horrifying condition of my hair. I noticed major differences after using this product: I experienced lesser hair fall, my hair was breaking less, and I noticed my hair was much shinier and smoother. Okay let’s talk. OGX has been under fire because of DMDM hydantoin being in their products . It is no longer in their products . I recently just picked up the shampoo and conditioner from target and right after i heard about the ongoing lawsuit. I checked the ingredients and they removed that particular one. Other than that I’ve always loved this shampoo and conditioner. It is a DEEP Cleansing shampoo. This product has sulfates and I’m natural but sulfates can be good or bad depending on the products and when i say this shampoo cleans my hair and leaves me with the feeling knowing my hair is deeply washed so no buildup will occur. I love thick butters and creams for my 4c hair and this shampoo cleans my hair leaving it feeling moisturized at the same time but strong. Forever a staple for mealexis.a
Several other reviews mentioned this helping with hair loss, or slowing it down, so I decided to purchase a bottle to try out many moons ago, when my hair loss issue was at its peak, and also again more recently just to see if my thoughts on it had changed over time. They haven't! Aside from how overly perfumed this shampoo was and therefore my hair too, I didn't notice any other benefit or effect from using this, nor any difference in my hair quality. It lathers nicely and feels like a more higher end formula, but it left my hair completely flat for some reason and weighed down. I also noticed my hair getting oily a lot quicker than usual when using this which didn't happen with previous or subsequent shampoos. My stylist recommended to me to help with my thinning hair. I was at the point where I was considering a wig. My hair has returned and is thick and shiny. The shampoo has a really clean smell. My hair is no longer frizzy. I have used this for 3 months and just placed an order for 3 more bottles. It doesn't take much to create a lots of suds.
