I dyed my hair green and right after I started using this product. The color was bright after the first wash, and with the second time a little faded away, but that was expected, since it was newly dyed. The color is still great, so it exceeded my expectations, considering my experience with a lot of products for colored hair. I am curious to see how long the color lasts, but I have high hopes due to the antioxidants. You don't need to use a lot of shampoo when showering, it bubbles nicely and the scent is very pleasant. I am happy with the product, the quality is good, and I will keep on using the product for my hair. Easy to open bottle, and may both be placed upwards or downwards – no hassle! I use this product along with the shampoo of the same brand. I dyed my hair prior to testing these products and so far they work well together! For the conditioner, you need to use a larger amount on product per wash than the shampoo, so you will have to buy each when they finish. The shampoo is more fragnant, however after the shower, the smell does not last. The conditioner is what makes the hair silky, I wouldn't recommend the shampoo separately unless if being used with another conditioner for colored hair. Looking forward to see how well the color lasts, but so far I am satisfied 🙂Maffi23

This is a bit drying on the hair, leaves my hair a bit squeaky for my liking. As a purple shampoo I think it works okay. I’m nervous to leave it in for long because of how drying it feels even when I just lather and quickly rinse (5 min in my hair). For reference I leave the Fanola one in my hair for 5-10min, depending on how bleached or dark my hair is at the time. This one is less “purple” than the Fanola one. The Fanola one leaves my hair with a lavender tint. This one is more “blue” I think and leaves my hair more of a gray! Which is an upside for me because sometimes I want the silver/gray without the lavender.
This was an okay product for me. It smelled nice and did what it was supposed to but I would not recommend if you have a dry scalp. It made my head itch after one or two uses so I had to stop using it. I switched to another brand of color treatment shampoo to see if it had been that particular brand, which I figured out that it was, unfortunately. It is also a little pricey if you’re trying to balance your budget and find the best product. I suppose you get what you pay for.christine.g

I’ve been around the block when it comes to purple shampoos and this is one of the best ones I have tried, if not the best. I think one of the most annoying things about purple shampoos is how drying they can be on the hair but after using this my hair actually felt more hydrated. The toning on my hair was pretty significant as well, even without having my hair done in 4 months. When using purple shampoo I like to let it sit on my hair for a few minutes in the shower before rinsing off. I’ll admit I didn’t have high hopes for this but after using it it will definitely be a new staple in my routine! I know this review is lengthy but only because I LOVE this shampoo. Let me tell you, when I received this product, I was nervous. Seeing as it was a color depositing shampoo, and the instructions say to avoid your scalp (because of staining), I was upset. I dance for 2 hours every day and by the end I am a greasy/sweaty MESS. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get my same "clean" feeling as I do with my old shampoo. But I have been using this daily and I can honestly say my hair is so clean after using it but not that dry overly "squeaky" clean like some shampoos. This is a genuine CLEAN that didn't strip my hair of any moisture. The scent is great, very fresh and not overly fragrant or unnatural smelling. On top of that, it WORKS. I am a natural medium-deep brunette and I've got red/copper undertones that are clearly visible in natural lighting, mainly towards to ends of my hair. Not anymore though! I've got beautiful, soft, and shiny deep chocolate hair now and I've been using it for a week now! My only real complaint is that it can be a little tedious to use. Since it can stain, they recommend wearing gloves and keeping it off the scalp as stated previously. I didn't think it would stain that bad, so I put it in my hair one day without gloves and the dye had gotten under my fingernails and it looked like I had dirt under them, as well as product having dripped down the back of my neck and leaving a bit of darkness there. I recently got this shampoo to use once a week after I had my hair colored. I couldn't stop using it because it makes my hair feel so amazing. You know that clean feeling that some shampoos and conditioners leave you with? That kind of clean! I know every product is different for every type of hair but I will be using this until it no longer works for my hair. I can't stop touching it and running my fingers through it. **It does stain around my nails but I have a nail brush in my shower and I just scrub my nails after and it helps or most of the time, completely gets rid of the dark stains! Using the entire Matrix Dark Envy line, this is definitely the icing on the cake. It's creamy and thick and you definitely don't need as much as I used the first time. Lol. A small quarter sized amount or a touch more for long hair, like mine. I would not recommend using this without at least using the shampoo. I prefer the mask as well. My hair is about 90% gray with Wella Colorcharm 9NG all over. I have natural blond hair that has a lot of natural dimension and highlights in it. However, like many women, my hair color has changed a bit after two kids, and doesn't pop the way it used to. The product works great! I have natural black hair and bleached it once to make it vibrant red. I wash my hair daily, so the color faded pretty quick. I don’t want to go to hair salon again, so I randomly searched it on amazon to find this. I decided to give a try, and after several weeks, I found it very convenient to remain my hair color in a fairly bright red hue evenly. The color remains for 2~3 wash.However, I’m not giving it five stars because:Instead of using it like my normal shampoo, I need to squeeze 3 palms of the product to apply on my hair to reach the color change shown in my photos. I tried using a small amount and imagined the product staying on my hair longer would let the color soak in, but it didn’t work much. If you have long hair, you probably will run out of this very fast. I am in love with Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo! This is my first time trying Pureology and I had no idea what to expect. The first thing I noticed about the smooth perfection shampoo was the scent, I loved the hints of cocoa. Upon first application I decided to use a small amount and I am glad I did, a little bit goes a long way with this shampoo. I have really long hair and I only had to use a quarter size amount or less. I want to point out that I always have to use a handful of shampoo when I use my usual drugstore brand, so I was shocked by how little I had to use of the pureology. I massaged the shampoo in my hair for a good 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. My hair felt so soft and clean without feeling stripped at all. I typically have a lot of fallout when I wash my hair, but noticed less strands of hair coming out while washing. I followed up by using the pureology smooth perfection conditioner. I also use a quarter size amount or less and it was more than enough. I focused this conditioner at the ends of my hair and put whatever was leftover on my roots. I let the conditioner sit for the recommend time of 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. I felt like it took no time to wash all of the conditioner out. My hair was less tangled and overall felt so much healthier than what I am used to. I used the smoothing lotion on the ends of my hair, blow dried my hair and was so amazed by the end result. The end result after I blow dried and straightened my hair was incredible. My hair was less frizzy and more straight making it so easy to straighten. I would like to add that my hair is very wavy/curly and frizzy after washing. The price for the Pureology Smooth Perfection set is a bit expensive, but honestly it is worth every penny. I got this product complimentary from Influenster and Pureology for my honest review. I really loved how this product worked for my hair. It left it so smooth and silky. It lathered really nicely and felt great when I washed it. It also rinsed out nice and easy and left my scalp feeling great. When I blew my hair dry it was like silk. Absolutely fabulous! Only negative, which I was REALLY surprised about, was the scent of this product. It was not pleasant at all to me and not something like I’ve ever smelled in a shampoo. I didn’t like it and for me that is important in a shampoo. I have other Pureology products and love their scents. it’s just this one that I couldn’t tolerate. I only like haircare that has a nice pleasant smell and this one fell short in that area. It was almost like lightly nutty and musky and sour all mixed together. I received this product from influencer pureology, but all opinions are completely my own. I have enjoyed using this shampoo. I find that the combination of the shampoo conditioner does help smooth my long hair and does really help smooth frizz. The shampoo cleanes hair great, good lather though it can make hair feel only slightly stripped. Conditioner is a nice one that helps smooth but doesn't overdo it and cause hair to feel heavy. Both help cleanse and Condition my hair without feeling too dry or too weighed down. The heat protectant from this line is nice and I feel it helps smooth hair and help make it somewhat softer. This will remain my favorite purple shampoo! I love this stuff. I have medium/light(ish) blonde hair that tends to get brassy quick. I read the reviews on Amazon first before purchasing and fell in love. This shampoo is a deep deep purple, and it will stain your hands if you don't rinse them off. First hand experience here *pun intended* The smell of it wasn't gross like some other brands (looking at you Clairol Shimmer Lights). It actually will turn your hair ashy! I left this stuff on for ten minutes and I had that beautiful ash (almost purple tone) to it, which I don't mind. Less time left on, you'll still see results. I found my hair was becoming more resistant to my usual favorite purple shampoo, as well as the Fanola No Yellow Shampoo and decided to try out the no orange line. One wash and I was convinced I needed this for maintenance from there on out – my strands were noticeably less brassy (especially when used in conjunction with one another) in comparison to the tone my purple shampoos produced. My color was still bright, and I loved the cooler tones. I even experimented to see if this difference was from the No Orange mask or the shampoo itself so I tried using the mask with 2 different purple shampoos that I’ve had luck with in the past, and while the tone was improved, I still saw the best results with the No Orange shampoo. The mask definitely helps with the process, so now I use the whole set twice a week (which is how often I wash my hair). The shampoo and mask itself smells slightly citrusy and refreshing. This is great for getting rid of the yellow tones in your hair. As you can see in the second picture after getting my hair re-dyed blonde it was more yellow than the platinum I wanted to go for but after using the shampoo TWICE, my hair was the silvery colour as you can see in the last picture! I use this every time I wash my hair after using my normal shampoo, usually leaving it in for 3-5 minutes and it works great. The only slightly annoying thing is that it dries out the hair and turns your hands purple if you don’t wash it off straight away. Also, sometimes you can see bits of purple showing through in certain light however I am sure if you use it less intensely that will not be an issue! Plus I love a bit of purple so I have no problem with it☺️. But I do find myself having to use extra serums and leave in conditioners in order to help it detangle and to keep my hair less dry. I rarely ever review any products but feel the need to review this and share my experience. I purchased this along with the Redken conditioner to match and began using it in the spring of this year. At the same time I was going back to school and had a couple life changes happening. My hair is thin and fine and to my horror I began losing massive amounts of hair in the shower and when brushing my hair. I was mortified! I have never had something like this happen to me before. I thought it had to be the stress of going back to school or the changes I had going on. I did not want to throw away shampoo and conditioner this expensive. Finally in desperation, I purchased my go to shampoo and conditioner and within a week or two the hair loss stopped and was back to the normal amount I typically lose. What a relief! A month to 6 weeks after I stopped using this shampoo and conditioner, I had baby hairs spiking all over my head. While I am happy they're growing back I am so sad I waited so long to stop using this. My hair looks wild now with regrowth poking straight up in the air, I have fairly long hair so I am embarking on a long journey of patience here. I tried this out again recently because my stylist recommended it and within only a weeks worth of washing (I wash my hair every 2-3 days, so 2-3 washes total) I noticed that my hair began "shedding" more than usual. After 2 weeks of washes and changing nearly everything else in my routine to compensate, I realized that it was this shampoo that was making my hair fall out! First off, I have very long and thick colored hair. I bought this thinking it would be a good new shampoo and not fade my color. I was completely wrong, as this shampoo didn't seem to clean my hair at all and only made the build up on my hair worse. I have never struggled with build up on my hair, until I bought this shampoo along with the Redkin All Mega Soft conditioner. It was absolutely terrible, I had so much waxy build up around my hairline that looked like grease, and it would NOT go away no matter how much shampoo I used. Along with that, I felt like this made my color fade more than any hair product I've ever used before, which also had never been a major problem for me in the past. So in short, this shampoo brought about a lot of issues I never had to deal with before and made my hair look awful. I will never buy Redkin hair products again, because both types of shampoo and conditioner I used were awful. I buy this and the Tigi Oatmeal & Honey Duos basically on repeat. Why- because I have curly, coloured hair that is prone to fluffiness and both these products are the perfect combination of wallet friendly, amazing-smelling and they leave my hair feeling super-soft and shiny; I use a small amount of curl cream and occasionally argan oil [if my hair is going to be left down and I am trying to make an effort 😉 ] to style and that's it. Neither of them strip the colour out of my hair either, and even though I work in a hospital and so thanks to Covid this year I have felt it necessary to wash my hair daily as an extra precaution a little of these products goes a long way and I can usually get between 4-6months use from them 🙂 I only alternate between the 2 for a bit of variety! 😀 I know if I had the budget there are other "higher end" products that I would use on the regular, but honestly for the price these are hard pressed to beat for the results they deliver.
Smells very sickly but nice?! I don’t really think it has helped my coloured hair, the shampoo is lovely & foams up really well. The conditioner I find difficult to massage into my hair & my hair feels quite dry after using. Many products claim to smooth one's hair and make it silky soft. As one gets a bit older (me) frizz becomes a bigger battle. I have tried many shampoo and conditioners and nothing ever seems to work, until I tried Keranique. After wrapping my hair up in the towel when I got into the shower, my comb and hair usually get into a major battle, with Keranique my comb and hair were at a peaceful gathering. If I could rate this product 10 stars I absolutely would. My only major complaint about this product is that it is a very expensive for its size. I know you can purchase larger bottles through a salon retailer if the salon will let you do it but I don't understand why you cannot buy this in a larger size. With that said, this product is hands-down by far my favorite shampoo ever. I have extremely long, thick, coarse, wavy hair. My hair is always in need of extra moisture / hydration. So whenever I look for a product I look for something that is going to be nourishing. This line makes my hair feel so silky soft and smooth it is incredible. Also scents don't seem to stay in my hair for very long after shampooing but I can still smell the shampoo and conditioner well after blow drying which makes me even more obsessed. This product has really transformed and moisturized my hair which helps contribute to less frizz. The scent is also incredible. I can't describe it. It's just clean, fresh and exotic. I got this shampoo hoping to replace the Verb Ghost shampoo/conditioner I was using bc I’m boycotting products made in Israel now and I really love this shampoo and conditioner. Super moisturizing without weighing my hair down at all. It also makes my hair insanely shiny I love it. Davines is the best hair line around, period. Yes, its super pricey, but definitely worth it. Not only is it free from all of the bad stuff, the formulation really brings your hair to a whole new level of healthiness and vibrancy. The Davines conditioners last FOREVER. I use conditioner every day and you really only need a tiny but to get your hair conditioned. The shampoo goes a little bit quicker, but still lasts quite awhile. It is worth the money, trust me. I always love ion products for coloring and toning my hair after bleaching, and this aftercare shampoo and conditioner line proved to be the same.. almost. The shampoo I found worked very well to keep my color bright and non brassy, but it left my hair so dry, even with the conditioner after. I started to mix some of the shampoo in with my Loreal Dream Lengths shampoo and it helped a lot. The conditioner is great for my hair all over, non greasy, conditions well, smells great. But because I'm working on healing my hair in certain areas I ended up using the Ion conditioner on my roots, top of my head to about midway down, where I would add the Loreal Dream Lengths conditioner, which as I state in my review of that Loreal conditioner, it leaves my roots and upper head hair greasy but perfectly midway down to my roots, so it's actually a perfect mix for me. I would use the Ion conditioner all over with not one issue, and sometimes do, but am still working to repair my ends. Overall great product line from Ion. I use Arctic fox hair color to keep my hair. A vibrant mixture of purple and red. Red is a notoriously difficult color to keep in your hair because of its molecular size compared to other colors. It doesn't lock into the cuticle as quickly and this product helps with that. I not only use it right after coloring my hair, I also use it beyond that. Rather than washing my hair every single day which would strip the color right out of it, I rinse my hair and then condition it with this product. Stop changing the formula! It seems like every time I’ve bought this the past year, the formula is different. I loved this shampoo (and the conditioner) for years, but this past year it’s a crapshoot as to how much they’ve changed the formula. The latest – similar to the situation I found last spring – dries out your hair, it doesn’t lather and my hair feels like straw when I use it. Out of curiosity, my husband and I went through and compared the ingredients from one bottle to the next and discovered 7 missing ingredients. I emailed customer service and they said I have to contact the manufacturer- excuse me but you know who owns the Ion line, so I was contacting the manufacturer. I’m done with their inconsistency. I've been using the Pantene Pro V Brilliant Blondie Illuminating Sulfate Free Shampoo for 2 weeks and I'm impressed! First things first, this formula is FREE OF sulphates, parabens, dyes, silicones, and mineral oils which is a winner in my book. Pantene's Pro-V Color Adapt technology senses the unique needs of multi tonal hair, like every strand stands out lighter! Get lasting vibrant color is a plus! Another winner in my book!! I liked the scent of this shampoo, it was heavy enough so that after your hair was dry, it lingered for a day or two. If I braided it or had it up in a bun, the scent scent stayed for 3 days! A very CLEAN scent like linen on a breeze. I loved the feeling of my scalp afterwards as it felt very cleansed and clarified. Like it had been rehabbed! LOL Honestly, it felt as though a vacuum had sucked away all the old buildup from past washings. I noticed that my natural highlights were also lightened a lot. Like I had sat in the sun for 1 week straight or I went to the salon and had my highlights done! The one thing I didn't like was it was very hard to get a foamy lather going and I suppose that's because it's a very clean and green shampoo without all the chemicals added to it. It's worth it for no foam. My hair was left really soft, no static, and no tangles. A lot lighter and shiny looking. I will definitely purchase and recommend this to my friends and family.Holly2019
I used the Brilliant Blondie Daily Rescue Conditioner in Combination with the Matching shampoo for about 3 weeks. This product claim is that it is free of Paraben, Mineral Oil and Dyes. I like that. It also has Silk Extract and Biotin which should should provide you with silky plump locks. Personally I don't think there is enough of either of these ingredients in the conditioner to notice. They are also the last few ingredients listed on the label. There is however a lot of forms of alcohol in the ingredient list! I have very long hair so when showering I wash my hair immediately, rinse and condition. This gives my conditioner 5 plus minutes to do it's job. It goes on nice and soft and has a very pleasant subtle scent. Once I rinsed it out my hair felt heavier than when using other conditioner. I also had a very hard time each and every time detangling my hair. Overall my hair did not feel good after using. For the entire three weeks of using these products I did not add any other product to my hair and did not style so I would get the full effect of the products used. (Covid allowed this as I am at home). I also air dried my hair everytime. Where the colour was concerned there was absolutely no difference in using the Daily Rescue Conditioner.Teejaie1960
I've been a past purchaser of Pantene, so I was excited to see this new line come out. I'm a natural blonde, who recently lifted my hair with bleach. This product specifically features 0% sulfates, parabens, silicones, dyes and mineral oils which is part of the reason why I was drawn to it. It also features added biotin & silk extract which I've been intrigued by lately in hair care products. The scent of this shampoo was really wonderful, and I really enjoyed it. Sulfate free shampoos tend to lather less, but I found this one still lathered quite well. I can't say that I think the biotin in it helped my hair in any way. On top of that, both the biotin and silk extract are both listed as the last two ingredients which I would presume means they're included in very small quantities. That being said, I did like the overall look of my hair after using this. I also really like the look and shape of the bottle/packaging of this. It fits really well in my shower and makes the usability of the product really great. Overall, I think I would buy this product again – and would likely recommend it to others. If I were to change anything, I would remove the biotin, add more silk extract and make it more hydrating.Natalie1962

I have noticed my hair thinning over the past year or more and tried a number of different products – none of which did any good whatsoever. Plantur 39 Shampoo and conditioner are both good to use. They have a nice smell and the shampoo makes my hair feel as if it has more bulk to it. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling nice and soft. I have been using the Tonic for about a month now and think there is some improvement but very slow progress. I will continue using it for now as the price is reasonable and (even though it might just be in my mind) I think it has marginally improved my thinning thatch.bonnieb29
My wife has been suffering hair loss & dry hair & I can honestly say that I have bought this product more than once for her & it's worth every penny. I buy the 3 products & it has made her hair silky soft & she is not losing the amount of hair she was. It has also given her a mental boost, to see the difference. I would recommend these products & it may seem expensive to some people, but what price do you put on helping your wife feel happier. It also has a nice smell to it.jstringy
I only purchased this recently as I am going through the menopause and losing loads of hair. Every time I wash it, I get handfuls coming out. I kept seeing adverts for this shampoo and thought I would look it up and give it a go. I have only used it twice so far so cannot comment on whether it will work or not as I am still losing quite a bit of hair. The thing I can say though is I was concerned about the price and how quickly I would go through the bottle as I have long hair. Don't worry though as you only need a small amount as it lathers up really well.welshsue

I’ve been using the Phtyocitrus shampoo for many years. This new “incarnation” is not at all similar; it’s not thick nor does it have the lovely fragrance of grapefruit and lemon. It’s like shampooing with water that’s lightly scented. The Phyto Color Protecting Shampoo also leaves my short hair tangled which means I have to use a conditioner each time I shampoo. Now it’s going to be trial and error before I find a shampoo to replace the Phytocitrus I loved.
As with all Photo products, I've been extremely impressed with how effective they are. This shampoo is great at clarifying hair without stripping it of moisture. It rebalances hair, setting the stage for the color protecting mask to follow. It enhances color vibrancy, even for extremely damaged color treated fine hair.
This shampoo doesn't lather well, so if that's important to you then maybe take a pass. The reason it doesn't lather up though is because it doesn't have the detergents that allow for rich lather. Those can be harsh on my hair, so I prefer this formula. It cleans my hair without stripping it. It's one of my favorite shampoos. Tip: if you rub the shampoo in your hand before applying it lathers a little better.

I decided to give this product a try when it was on sale at Ulta. With my first use or two, I was impressed with how my hair looked. I could tell it toned down the brassiness and gave me a just left the salon look. But by the third or fourth use, my blonde hair my ends in particular were looking straight purplish grey. Despite only washing my hair a couple times a week, I figured maybe I was using it too much and should not be using it for every wash. So, I started alternating between this shampoo and a regular nourishing shampoo. However, it seems that doing this has given me such uneven tones throughout my hair some areas are brassy, some parts look platinum and some look grey a problem Ive never had before. This shampoo also stains my nails, cuticles, and scalp. Even though I had freshly washed hair, one day I had to put it up into a pony tail simply because when my hair was down you could see my part which was bright purple. It looked awful. Even rinsing my hair until the water runs clear still leaves me with purple in my scalp. Aside from the results of this shampoo, Im not a fan of how thin and runny the consistency is, because every time I dispense some, it seems to come with a fair amount of drippingwasted product which is a bummer, considering the price. Maybe a pump instead of a flip cap could prevent some of this Overall, whether I used this shampoo consistently or sparingly, the results were not good. All I have to say is, this conditioner is worth every penny (pricey) About my hair type, I have long, wavy, thick, course and frizz prone due to living in a hot and humid climate state, this is amazingly good on my hair. With this conditioner, it makes my hair so shiny, hydrated and smooth. I only use a little bit because it really does go on my hair due to how creamy this formulation is. I find that after washing it off all the way in the shower, I rinse my hair with very cold water until I don't feel any warmth from my hot shower. The cold water helps seal and smooth down the hair follicle. I then let hair air dry in a loose twisted bun with a large and soft velvet scruchie on top of my head. When it's completely dry, my hair falls with soft, bouncy, shiny and smooth waves that I don't need to style my hair with any hot tools. In comparison to naturally air drying my hair, I have used my flat iron and also curling iron, my hair looks like I had just gotten an amazing hair result from a hair salon. Highly recommend.maria.d
I bought this shampoo based on reviews. I have a foil done about 56 times a yr. I used this shampoo for the first time brightened my hair right away. Im a natural strawberry blonde had some issues with my last foil, I used this shampoo 4 times in one week which is alot. While this did brighten up my hair was a quick fix to what the stylist did to me my reg lady wasnt in I went to a diff stylist learned a few things. The new stylist fixed the issues that the inexperienced one messed up. First off I would like to tell you that what the last girl did to my hair was not knowing how to mix colors very well ended up with more red than blonde, I didnt want red but the Redken Blondage did help with that problem until I could get it done right. My new stylist explained to me about over using this type of shampoo because it can cause your hair to turn blue but Ive never had those issues. Purple is actually a color added to a shampoo to neutralize warm colors, warm colors being orange, yellow, red, purple shampoo turning your brassy warm tones into cooler tones more natural looking, the darker the purple, the better the shampoo. Purple shampoo does nothing for brunettes but if you have highlights its a must, also a must for silver hair to turn gray into a beautiful silver. If your hair is over processed or colored alot it can take on purple tones quickly. If you start to notice your blonde hair getting a silvery color its because your hair is very porous, then you want to back off of the purple shampoo bc it will start turning blue. I use purple about once a week. You shouldnt use purple shampoo but every 3rd wash because its very drying. Another way to keep your color fresh is to shampoo with clarifying shampoo to wash all oil residue buildup from other products, hairspray, gel, mousse, etc…rinse then use purple shampoo and let it sit for about 10 min. Since most of the brightening work is done with the shampoo you can really use any conditioner. I love Redken all soft conditioner. So far I like most all of Redken products they have great a sale going on this month sales and nobody can beat the sale of one liter size products this month better than Ulta.Anonymous
