I received this product free from Influenster in return for my honest review. After using the Clairol Plex Lightner, I was super excited to use this on my friend's hair because she was ready for a new look. It just didn't give the cool beige tones she was really looking for. Instead it retained a slight orangey tone. We tried leaving it on a little longer to see if that helped, but it ended up making no difference. I don't think the product is bad, but it just didn't work for my friend and me. As you can see in the pic, her hair isn't really a cool beige, it still has more yellow tones to it than what she would have liked.
I recieved the shimmer lights an cool beige toner for testing purposes from Influenster. Ive been using at home hair color for 2 years so I decided to test this out. The instructions givin to me in my kit were not the best. So I started with the measurements given to me … it was not enough product to cover all my air. I realized this after covering the front first, my hair quickly turned orange an since the back of my head wasn't covered enough I rinsed it out after being in for 15 mins. Thankfully they did include enough product to re apply, after looking up better instructions I tried again. The color results were much better but faw from perfect. This whole process took hours an lots of showers to complete. The side effects included very dry brittle hair. I used a few repair kits an a hair cut helped. I recommend looking up the directions from the company.krista.s
I received the Shimmer Lights Lightening System from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion and I am very grateful they sent it to me! I ended up doing a few highlights in my hair with the plex lightener, cream toner, and the plex treatment and am incredibly impressed with the results. The products were all easy to use and the last time I used any bleach my hair was absolutely fried but with this system my hair still feels healthy! I would say the only downside is that the toner I got is very cool toned and I have warm undertones and they only had three color options on Sally Beauty but if they had more shades I would give five stars in a heartbeat! i used two pulp riot toners and will review both here. icy worked well on my hair, which was lifted past a 10. It was not perfect however, and did not give the results I wanted. It did not have as much of a purple tone as i needed to counteract the warmth in my hair. I have a lot of warm overall, and everything always pulls gold. Eventually, I was able to obtain pulp riot moonstone, which was a new product and not out when I originally decided to bleach and tone my hair. These toners are high speed, and you can apply them when your hair is wet. In fact, I encourage it, as it worked much better for me as I was able to spread the product out more. I use two shades of the High Speed Toner to achieve silvery-white platinum so this review is for both the Moonstone and Icy shades. I lift my hair to a pure level 10 and then do a stand-alone Fanola Fiberfix treatment (equalizes porosity and primes the hair for toning). After my hair dries from that, I mix 10g of Moonstone with 5g of Icy and then 30g of 6 volume developer and leave it on for 15 minutes. normally i use clairol lavender ice but decided to give this a try. i probably should have bleached again but my hair is already overprocessed bc ive been lightening my hair for almost 2 years now. also im just lightening to do grey. first its very runny, like extremely runny, and no i didn't add to much developer i measured perfectly. it made a huge mess when i was doing the back. next i started losing hope when it never changed hues during processing. normally a good toner will turn blue or purple but this just kinda got dingy grey. i was actually surprised with how much it did. also i left on for 40 minutes with 30 vol developer cuz it what i had.

I love it! First off all is CG (good for curly girl metod). You only need to use a small amount for the nice ash on your actual blond/yellowish hair. I usually add 2 spoons in 1l warm water and rinse my hair inside. (If you add more then the hair will become darker as violet) Can be added to the mask as well but I didn’t tried.

I used this color line when I was in cosmetology school. It was so unpredictable and unreliable. The color formulas never looked right on half of the clients. I couldn't trust that it would give me the proper results. Ending in a possible color correction or redo/try to fix. It made me very uncomfortable to do colors on clients when it was so unpredictable and unreliable. I havent used it again since I left school!!!! As many of us, during the lockdown, I get bored and try to dye my hair grey. At first, I just dye it without bleaching and didn't turn out well. After the bleaching I got horrible yellow undertone and then I order this product. Now I have beautiful dark blonde dye with greyish tone, Wella did miracle and kill 90% of yellow. Product is easy to use, smell is quite harsh and hair is quite dry after using it – just use good Keratine mask after and don't use product on very dry/damaged hair. But overall result is great. I just order it again, because I can't buy it in my Country . But just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it's necessarily the product's problem it could be operator error. So I've been going through the internet trying to find any possible way to get my hair white most of it's white part of it's white okay. The top layers wait and to be honest with you I'm not entirely sure how I got it to white. I was told to use while I t18 with a 20 volume developer which I purchase is Sally's. My One Stop shop for all of my hair dying needs. And I'm not mad at it I'm just not convinced that this is the product for me for the desired outcome that I'm looking for. Aside from that being that it is chemical I'm going to suggest using a hair mask after using other than that damage is minimal. These toners work well but they smell awful! Beware of that. They're also really runny and they go dark really quickly so you'll want to get this product all up in your hair as quickly as possible. The best way I've found to do this is by making a toning shampoo: mix the toner and developer, then add a few capfuls of shampoo (you can add some water too if you want to make it runnier), then hang your head over the sink and lather it in quickly. You'll want to watch your hair to see how fast it is developing. You might only need 5 minutes or you might want 15. Just keep an eye on it! I used a mix if T18, T27, and the cooling violet 050 on freshly bleached level 8-9ish hair and it toned beautifully. I later switched to using the permanent gel with a low developer as I found it easier to apply to roots only and the colour lasts longer. I don't normally leave reviews, but this one deserves one. My hair had a balayage in December that was pink originally. I'm naturally dark brown, so we only needed one round of bleach to get it to the right level for it to be pink. I then decided to let the pink fade out and transition to a corn blonde – quite warm, quite golden. I bought these drops as a way to knock out some of the brassy and orange tones I was seeing between going to the salon. Because this toner is supposed to make your hair white, it has blue and purple in it, which is perfect – better than a blue or purple shampoo. I love that you just mix it with your conditioner. I usually do an Olaplex 3 mask before, then wash it, then condition with the toner every weekend. It takes some trial to get the right intensity. I started with 4 drops, which was a bit more subtle, then went for 6, which left me with a lovely golden blonde – my hair isn't bleached enough for it to go white. There are still some coppery tones, but I suppose that's because different parts of the hair will react to the toner differently. I also don't hate it – it's like having hints of strawberry. Highly recommend for mid-blondes looking for purple or blue shampoo alternatives.Em
I bought this a couple of weeks ago, having read the reviews I was excited. It is extremely easy to use. I applied a week ago, I added 8 drops rather than the recommended 6 as I'd put more conditioner in than was needed. The resulting colour was much darker than expected however still a lilac shade (perhaps more blue tones than pink). It does not take on all of the hair, so mine ended more like highlights (which i was disappointed in as wanted whole hair lilac so knocked a star off), however this also happens when the hairdressers does their lilac toner on my hair. I've washed my hair twice and it has faded quite considerably and the result has made the colour look patchy(so another star knocked off). The good points are it's extremely easy to use, and much less messy than other brands. I think it would also be possible to mix your own colours too, so I will buy one of the pinks next time and add 1 drop to see if it achieves the actual lilac tone I had wanted.Hannah66
I spent ages trying to figure out which toner to get following an over-bleached half head balayage, which had left my hair a combination of yellow and white on the top, and with a huge contrast between my brunette natural colour underneath. Having explicitly asked for a warm dark blonde, I was on the hunt for something which would make my blonde hair a bit darker and also add a nice tone to it. I was drawn in by the other reviews referring to this toner being great on over-bleached hair which was either white or yellow, transforming hair into a honey/caramel-blonde – which is what I had asked the hairdresser for. I was half tempted to go back to another hairdressers and pay for a toner but with the cost of living crisis I thought I'd give this a go. I used 4 drops with my normal conditioner, left it on for 10 minutes and honestly there is already a huge huge difference – the tone is so nice and I'm FINALLY happy with my hair colour. I'll keep using this – and will probably try adding more drops next time to see what happens. I never leave reviews but given how many hours I sunk into trying to figure out what to buy – and nearly spent £30 on something else – I thought I'd leave some details in case it helps shorten the search for someone else in my predicament. this is very similar to a wella t18. it's a light pale ashy blonde toner. definitely not what i would consider to be "pearl" by any means. looks purple/grey when it goes on, develops fast so watch your time. i mixed this with a 10 volume& put it on prelightened level 10. first i did a root smudge with a level 8 and then added the toner and blended downward where the two colors met to transition. it turned out nice but i could have gotten the same result with wella t18 ??????? was hoping for something a little more "pearl" like… like luminous or something i don't know… but i ended up with an ashy blonde. which is fine just not exactly the result i was hoping to get. i love that it's 3 oz though. most toners are only 1.5-2 oz so you get a lot more bang for your buck. i bought 2 tubes and mixed them 1:1.5 and had plenty left over for my extensions.?.
During my first application the product never changed color which I thought was weird, had it on for 20 minutes before I decided to take it off. I tried again mixing a little bit of developer and rubbing it. Immediate change in color. I quickly started applying it starting at my roots and used my fingers to rub it down to the ends of my hair. I wanted to go forna darker gray so I kept it on for about 30 minutes. As you can see from the photos my roots turned into a blue that transition to a blue gray and finally my ends turned into a brown gray color. This was due to my ends not being properly bleached. I rebleached my ends and the toner came off within 5 minutes. Kept it on longer to try to get as much of the orange as I could and am currently toning the ends again. Overall the color I have so far I really like and I've already bought another tube as a back up for the future.M.

I got this product through my first mission involving Topbox Circle. It was to try out Loreal Paris Feria Power Toner in Pearl blonde. This toner adds cooling neutral tones to any blonde for a soft finish. This can be used with and hair type or texture that contains blonde. The instructions are easy to use and there is no chemical smell which is a huge plus. There is plenty of product to use whether you have short or long hair. It's easy to use and the wait time is short. Also while the product is on there is no dripping or burning of any kind. Its fast to wash out and leaves a flowery smell behind. When finished the hair is visibly softer and light to the touch. However for me the only problem I had was it left my hair a lot drier then before I started. My hair did turn out softer and I did notice a slight change in my hair color. Overall it's a pretty straight forward product that's accessible to anyone. I have been using box dye for over 20 years and have done a lot of trial and error. If your hair is light brown/blonde or you have already dyed it and are trying to fix it – it will not work. This is for blonde hair not to fix hair dye gone wrong. You need a lift for that usually, and each individual hair types responds a little differently. Toner sits on top and enhances and usually deepens/softens the existing color (or dye that is already there). It really does help with reddish or strawberry tones which my hair really goes to when I dye it. I am a dark blonde with hidden strawberry/red under it that comes alive with regular dye. This product is amazing. I use the 8UA as a base(darker rooted base) and add highlights. Then I go over it with this to blend it all out. It turns out like a really expensive salon visit. I get a lot of compliments. It takes a few steps, but it is so pretty and worth it.JaninSF

My hair needed the yellow knocking out of it and this absolutely did the trick. My hair is now the exact same colour as the front of the box and so so shiny. It smells great has a jelly like consistency that lathers up so you don’t miss any spots. I would highly recommend. Please remember how toners work though. Of your hair isn’t a level 10 (the colour of the inside of a banana peel) this will do absolutely nothing for you. It doesn’t lift hair colour, it has no ammonia or bleach in it and if you’ve bleached your hair at home and it’s orange this is not a magic potion it will not turn it pearly blonde. Bought this yesterday after bleaching my hair 3 times. I was honestly afraid to bleach it again incase I went bald. My hair looked curry noodles when wet and it was illumionus orange and yellow when dry. I tried wella toner did it nothing and I really didn't want to just dye it back brown so got this product. I used half the bottle last night and half this morning and I now have a lovely shade of pale blonde. I do have some darker bits underneath but in comparison to what it did look like its great. I bought this toner to help lift my freshly bleached hair. Whilst I knew that my hair overall would not be light enough to turn it full on silver, it really helped even out my hair to a stunning light blonde. The few pieces that the bleach developed to a very light blonde were turned white with a blue tint after applying this toner but I dyed over my hair with a pastel pink colour so that didn't matter. The toner smells great and is easy to apply. I applied the toner on towel dried hair as directed, wrapped it in a bag and applied heat to it with a hair dryer for 5 minutes before leaving it to develop for 30 minutes. If you want silver-toned hair, this will only work if your hair is already lifted light enough.Geelouise

The girl who said her hair fell out from this clearly had other issues because this product is ammonia free and is zero lift and therefore will not alter the hair strand other than lightly depositing color. I truly think she also put some sugar on that as well. If she probably stopped messing with it, it wouldn't fall out. Also it's important to use the color correctly. Did you mix it with Zero Lift pravana developer? Did you also mix in clear with this because unless you do, it will turn the color of the undertone. Purple, blue or gray. If that's what you want then don't use clear. If you want to be platinum use clear.JoshuaD

I bought the cherry red for blondes. I have dyed dark blonde base with light blonde highlights. The instructions on the bottle are so small, I needed a magnifying glass. It goes on dry hair. It’s quite gloopy so a dye brush is needed to spread it evenly. It does stain the hands and skin so wear gloves. Unfortunately, it also stained the enamel on my sink, the grout on the tiles, the bath mat and the bath. These stains have proved difficult to remove (needed gritty cleaner to budge it – the tile grouting will have to be bleached out or redone if that doesn’t work). The colour saturation was good. I’ve shoulder length hair and had about 1/5 bottle left. I really like the colour – a bit Little Mermaid Arial. However, Wouldn’t use again due to the clean up involved as a simple wipe with Spray cleaner doesn’t budge it.ems2022
ive used multiple different colours of this. blue, purple, green, red and pink. only the blue and the red worked. the blue didn’t even work properly, but the red wouldnt wash out. the purple worked slightly but washed out super quick. you could only see the green in photos and certain lighting. the pink didnt do anything to my hair AT ALL (it was meant to be the bright one, i ended up going to the store and buying one from there and it worked 10x better.) my hair is naturally blonde and has only ever been dyed with this brand before i gave up and dyed it from my local store’s dye. overall, i wouldnt waste my money on it again.
I coloured my daughters hair with the ‘cherry red’ over her beautiful blonde, lovely conditioned hair on the 16th February 2021(this year) and it was super red! It’s just what she wanted and she loved it. After about 2 weeks (we wash every day if not every other) the colour had washed out a little and gone a dirty pink. By this point my daughter was fed up of having the colour as it was no longer red. We are now 23rd may 2021 and the colour is still NOT all removed from her hair! The colour is sticking to the blonde with horrible orange/pink/dirty brown tones! I’m furious that I bought this as a safe, temporary colour for my daughters hair for it to of totally changed her hair colour still 3 months on! I’ve tried everything to remove the colour but it is not budging!

This is a fabulous product if you make a mistake with home colouring, and lets face it this is easy to do. I recently used a colour I don't normally use just to try it and even though the colour said darkest brown it contained quite a lot of red which I didn't like. I used this L'Oréal Paris colonists fader shampoo to remove it, this is a high quality shampoo, that I have come to expect from L'Oréal, and it effectively removes colour mistakes, fading out nasty colour to return hair to its previous appearance. It's easy to use, I wash it in, leave it for a good period and rinse, it removes offensive colour really quick and is not drying or damaging, it actually leaves hair quite soft shiny and manageable. At just under $19.00 it's great value for correcting mistakes and I see no negatives. I adore this and highly recommend it for colour fading.debbie p.
I used this shampoo on my turquoise hair and it did help it fade a little. You can see some of the colour drip out of the hair while it’s sitting in there so that’s good. However I don’t think this will fade all of the colour even if you use it regularly. It did dry my hair out quite a lot so definitely need to use a good conditioner or hair mask afterwards. As someone who has been dyeing their hair blonde for over a decade I am have used my fair share of silver shampoos. I have been using the L’Oréal professional shampoo up until now so was looking forward to this new more affordable Colorista shampoo. On comparison, the two are very similar ingredient wise, give or take 3 chemicals. The fragrance however is not as pleasant and it doesn’t lather up as well meaning I had to use a lot more product. I leave silver shampoo on for approx 5 mins to get best result but I felt this shampoo has made my blonde more dull than ashy/silvery unfortunately. I will continue to use it every few washes after I have further colour added to my hair to see if I have more success.Rosie

I am stocking up on this product because I love it so much. Here's my deal: I have very long, color treated hair that, prior to the pandemic, was colored a natural looking coppery red with coppery blonde highlights. Since the pandemic, I have had my hair professionally colored exactly TWO times in 10 months so I have been looking for ways to extend my color between salon appointments. (My natural color is light to medium brown.) My current color job is over 3 months old so it was looking pretty blah and washed out. I was scared to try the copper version, thinking it might grab too bright on my highlighted strands (I have made that mistake with other products and had orange highlights that took a few weeks to tone down) so I went with the golden blonde shade. It was super easy to apply and it really did remind me of the gloss my stylist uses in the salon. I left it on for maybe 5 mins. My result was a beautifully bright, shiny, color refresh. Of course, my hair is not as red as it used to be when I had it colored at the salon (but I did not expect a red result from a golden blonde shade) but the golden warmth really mixed nicely with my reddish base and made my dull highlights a really pretty warm golden shade. I love the end result. I have all the warmth I like from red without any harsh or bright tones. I think as long as you are careful not to use a shade that is too dark or bright for your lightest/ most bleached strands, this is probably pretty fool proof. The results lasted through a good 4 shampoos and then I used it again to equally great results. I have tried other color depositing conditioners and this is the best result I have ever gotten.JJ East
I enjoy this line of in-shower gloss. Short story, my hair is bleached with dark blonde root grow out. I started mixing the platinum in-shower gloss with my conditioner after I wash my hair. I am so impressed with how little it takes to tone and the unbelievable way it leaves my hair feeling like silk. Fast forward, I realize they have a pearl shade of gloss! Same amazing smell and does a great job at adding subtle iridescent shine. I mix the gloss into my conditioner so my hair doesn’t soak up so much pigment on the more porous areas. It’s meant to be a toner, not turn pieces of hair purple. If you have darker hair that isn’t dry I doubt that would be necessary. .jessica..
I used this gloss for the first time yesterday in the cool blonde shade. I thought I'd give it a try to tone down the gold in my hair, and I was hoping to achieve a lighter/whiter shade to my hair with dark beige lowlights as my hair has both highlights and lowlights already. I used it in the shower per the instructions which said to leave on for 5 – 10 minutes for bleached hair, and I left it on for 5 minutes. When I got out of the shower and looked at my hair in the mirror soaking wet, I had an "uh oh" moment because it seemed to have a grayish cast to it… Yikes, I thought, but let me see how it looks once I dry it. Well! Once it was dry, to my…. HORROR, it was a flat, ashy, dull, grayish tone that totally sucked the life out of my hair appearance-wise, and washed out my complexion so thoroughly it would make a corpse envious. I didn't know what I should do to correct this mistake of a lifetime; initially I thought that I would just color over it with my usual haircolor that gave me the too gold color I had tried to tone down, but it wasn't root-showing time yet because I had just colored my hair the week before, so I was hesitant to do that — not only because it was too soon, but also because I was afraid of how THAT would turn out given the results of my most recent chemical experiment. I mean… would it end up turning…. Green? …Orange? …Babypoop Brown?? WHO KNOWS!? In the end I waited until the next day to wash my hair again in hopes that it would somewhat ameliorate the situation, and to my everlasting surprise, when I blew it out I found my hair had turned Cinderella-like, to the exact shade I had hoped for in the beginning! Wow. My Fairy Godmother showed up after all, a day late, and with no meds for the panic attack I suffered at the hands of the sadistic chemists at Loreal. So.
