Best Skin To Skin Positions (2023 Update)

This is the 2nd bottle of Revision neck firming cream I've used, and honestly I don't really see a difference, but I don't really see a difference with any other high end neck cream I've used either. It's moisturizing, it goes on nicely, but I'm not certain it's worth the money for what I am trying to achieve, which is turning back the clock. I probably need to do something more invasive to get the results I'm looking to achieve. I can't really give this a fair assessment either way, so I leave it to each individual to make their own determination.Aballentine1

I have heard rave reviews about the Revision Nectifirm (even from an aesthetician's recommendation to me) and was so excited to try it since I'm 48 and am getting neck wrinkles. I have no doubt that it works amazingly for most people, but unfortunately, I had a bad reaction to it. My neck and chest broke out in itchy, red bumps and patches. The red patches on my neck had a weird texture to them too-kind of rough and took days to heal. I experimented with different possible solutions (skipping multiple days between use instead of using every day, using different sunscreens on my neck, etc.) but didn't see improvement. I think maybe it's just some weird interaction between my cleanser or sunscreen and the Nectifirm. I don't know. Anyway, I'm sure it's an excellent product, but I had to send it back.Anonymous

So here's the thing. We cannot make the skin stop doing what it does during the aging process. If we could, my skin would be perfect. But alas, the effects of gravity and the manner in which you sleep take a horrible toll. That said, would my neck be worse if I hadn't been using this product for the last many, many years. Who knows. The thing is, there are components in this Revision that do not occur in other products, and so I continue to trust it. When I tried other products, I saw no different results or improvement. But again, for a true test, one must use a product such as this long term to see if there is a difference between them. I hardly ever feel compelled to write a review but you have GOT to try this stuff. I have really stubborn stretch marks on my stomach and thighs from sudden weight gain as a side effect of a medication I'm on. I felt like I tried everything, bio oil, scar creams and treatments, but none of it worked like this stuff has. The results seem too good to be true but the redness of my stretch marks has significantly reduced. My skin is returning to a smoothness I didn't even think was possible at this point. I bought this product to use on my neck and hands. I have been using it once daily for about 2 weeks now. I don't have any wrinkles/lines on my neck but I am hoping that the retinol in this product keeps it that way. But I can say that this lotion does a great job of keeping my neck moisturized and soft. On my hands I had a red splotch that has been there for over a year- I've noticed that since using this product that red splotch has lightened significantly. It comes in a bottle with a pump that is super easy to use. I like it a lot more than the pumps you usually get on a bottle of lotion. One pump easily covers my neck/hands. I got it on sale for about 26$. I plan to repurchase. Got to keep these hands/neck looking young!Amanda B

I've had pretty terrible scarring on my shoulders, chest, and back from acne for at least 6 years now and this is the ONLY thing that has helped. Not only did it smooth out the uneven texture of my scars, but it lightened them to the point where I can't see 80% of them anymore! At least for me there was no purge period and just like any other skincare product it does take about a week or 2 to start seeing results. For those wondering the consistency is on the thicker side. I find it works best when you apply it, wait a minute or 2 before applying moisturizer, then wait another minute or 2 before covering the area with anything (shirt, pants, sheets, etc.) Overall 100% would recommend and I hope they never stop selling it!J

I got this product complimentary from @influenster and @cetaphilUS in exchange for my honest review. I love cetaphil products as they use safe ingredients and is trusted brand. I was really excited to try this lotion as my skin gets dry during winters. The bottle and pump quality is good as always. The product has thick texture and small amount is required to cover the area. It gives sticky feeling soon after applying but gets light after sometime and does not bother, and skin feels softer and nourished after use.My husband has super dry skin and it works for him as well. It lasts whole day and you do need to reapply the whole day.I love the way it works, my only concern is that it is fragrance free and I really like my lotion to have some fragrance that lasts atleast few hours. My dermatologist recommend Cetaphil daily oil-free hydrating face lotion. I have combination skin. I was struggling with hormonal acne, very oily skin in my T zone, but was so dry on my cheeks and forehead.
I want to be clear this didn't clear up my hormonal acne. I was put on medication for that. But it was soothing and didn't break me out further.
I also discovered Cetaphil redness relieving daily moisturizer. It has sunscreen in it and it's LIGHTLY tinted. It is perfect for daily use and if you aren't wanting to use makeup. (I use it under makeup some days.)Jo Allen

Lubriderm is a 5 star lotion. I have never been a lotion fan because of the greasy feel left on your skin after you use it. Lubriderm does not leave a greasy feel but does moisturize your skin. Years ago Lubriderm lotion was recommended by a dermatologist to my parent following healing of several burns. I have tried other lotions but Lubriderm is the very best. We always keep two bottles on hand. It cost more than other lotions but it’s worth it.Stormy

I have used the blue version and the red version. Both work great on my sensitive and itchy skin. They make my skin very soft. The price is also very reasonable for a giant-size lotion. I also love the fact that it's fragrance-free but doesn't smell funny. Let me give you some comparisons. Red version (Advanced Therapy): – Great if you live in a colder place where you need a warm shower and heater – A very good alternative to a super intense and thick cream in a tub – Easy to glide on considering that it's a thicker one – Does leave the skin feel a little sticky once applied, but it will go away in less than 5-10 minutes – Also works great as a foot cream alternative! Started using this for my daughter with sensitive skin. She suffers from eczema was having really bad breakouts all over her back, bottom legs. I tried a bunch of stuff, aveeno included nothing helped. Some irritated her skin more. I asked around someone suggested I try this, I’ve been using it ever since. This is the only lotion she uses. It does great locking in moisture. It’s not oily doesn’t leave a sticky feeling behind either. It’s thick but not super thick. This helped relieve her eczema now that she’s been using consistently she no longer has breakouts. Even the scaring from old breakouts have gone away. I am licensed esthetician and PCA certified and I love using this as home care for after a foot peel. About 4-5 days after the peel, the skin will start to flake and loosen from the soles, and then I will do the body therapy all over the foot every day for the next several weeks. It absorbs well, has a nice water balance, doesn't feel greasy, and it helps my body peels last longer! I recommend it to clients for home care aftercare for after a body peel as well. Best product I have used for KP. It really works if you use consistently. I have been using for 6+ months and it is almost gone on my left arm and significantly better on my right arm, which was much worse. It’s equally hydrating and exfoliating and have found it also helps with the acne scars on my back! From my experience, it is the most effective when I use right after I get out of the shower. I won this product in a raffle of all things from a local salon. I was skeptical at first since I hadn’t heard of the brand prior. I looked it up and of the few reviews I found, decided it was a keeper (I could have sold it for about $60). This is the absolute BEST hydration lotion for your skin. Since I began using it, my skin (especially my legs) have felt so incredibly smooth and soft! One application lasts all day! The scent is pretty bad and it does leave somewhat of a sticky feeling when I apply it to my arms so for that reason, it doesn’t get 5 stars. I would normally dock two stars for those two things but the hydration is SO GOOD, it makes up for it a hit. If you’re sensitive to smell like I am, it will definitely annoy you as it is strong, BUT for me, my skin takes priority. After about an hour, the scent dissipates.vae.b

This is the second bottle I've purchased of Life-flo magnesium lotion. The first one was pure perfection! Smelled wonderful, like vanilla, extremely concentrated so you just need a tiny amount, and really helped relieve pain! I panicked when the pandemic hit since I couldn't find this anywhere and have a long-term injury. Finally when this came back on the market, it's changed, as indicated by the ingredients list. It now stings my hands when I apply it and doesn't work as well. It's also not as concentrated, so I don't know if that's just my bottle, but if I'd bought it like this the first time, I don't know whether I'd have been so desperate for another. Your mileage may vary, of course. For me, my initial love has waned slightly. So I'd say if the mag spray isn't to your liking (it REALLY burns so I don't use that version), this is a good choice still, just not as lovely as it used to be.iHerb Customer

Oh, I love two-in-ones, I mean, when you get several things in one bottle for the price of one. This is both a great body lotion and a source of magnesium. Not that I really need a body lotion in our blessed Sydney climate but I do have a few body lotions/butters and keep forgetting to use them. Yep, even those that smell so yummy you want to eat them. Well, too strong and too yummy, for my taste anyway. I am also deficient in magnesium (judging by my translucent teeth) and want to get as much magnesium as possible. I have been taking it internally and was looking for ways to get it transdermally as well. Rumor has it transdermal way is the best way for magnesium. I could not make myself do magnesium foot baths or rub magnesium oil onto my skin. Too awkward and unpleasant, too much time, too difficult to keep in my busy mind. So, no I kept forgetting rubbing anything into my skin… until this lotion has arrived. This lotion smells divine but not too strong that it becomes overwhelming (like too many body lotions out there). It is also heavy in magnesium (judging by the list of ingredients), and the list of ingredients is so safe it can satisfy even the pickiest crunchiest customer like me. Great all around! A good face care routine is important for keeping great healthy skin and this swiss army knife of face care tools is everything you need keep your face looking great. From massage, red light therapy, and micro current thing device let's you give your face a spa treatment in your own home. The Therabody comes with a cleanser, two precision massagers, light therapy, and a micro current attachment. Each of them pops on and off with magnets making it incredibly easy to use. Overall using the Therabody is super simple. You pop on the attachment you want to use and the device automatically adjsts the buttons to change the power or strength or type of light based on the attachment you've put on. I've used the Therabody for a little over a week and have followed the video tutorials put out by Therabody showing exactly how to use each attachment and the motions you should take to make the absolute best use out of the device. Overall I do feel like my face feels more reguvinated and clear. Starting with a facial cleanser to clean my face well. Following that with a precision massage that works so well to release tension in my face. After that I snap on the light therapy to help promote circulation in my face and finish by popping on the microcurrent attachment to stimulate my facial muscles and tighten up the face. An interesting device no doubt but works pretty well. I never been that much into facial care however, this little device has got some benefits that make me rethink taking care of my skin. I have a Therabody massager which works really nice and I came across this thing and decided to try it out. Therabody makes pretty good quality devices and this one is no exception. I never thought a face massager would be that beneficial to be honest. I figured washing your face every night would be good enough however I started to get a little tightness in my face. probably due to age but I never thought there would be anything that could help out a tired face. The massager is quite small and is also very ergonomic. It has a rechargeable battery built in and the different heads are held in place by magnets. You get 3 main heads, 1 UV light, 1, electric stimulation and 1 scrubbing head. There are also three center heads which are used when you have the light head mounted; 1 is pointed, 1 is scrubby and the other is flatter. mix and matching these allows you to get the type of massage you need without being too overcomplicated. Pretty simple to choose which one you want so it takes out a lot of the headache of figuring out which one to use and for what purpose. Also included is the USB-C charging cable, carrying case and conductive gel. I find myself lying on the couch and just massaging my face with this thing. It feels good and it does help eliminate the facial tightness I've been experiencing lately. I get a little tingly feeling after I've used this massager on my face and, again, it just feels good. My brow and jaw muscles feel a bit more relaxed after using this for about 10-15 minutes. While this may not be for everyone, I think it's worth a shot if your face just feels kind of old like mine does. It relaxes tight muscles in your face and just feels good. Love this massager. I’ve used the Thera gun pro with the soft attachment on the face so I wasn’t sure if I really had an use for this but I quickly found it to be great for working around the eyes and checks. Having a more acute pressure zone it was great for more delicate areas. I’ve used it for relaxation, tension, headaches, ear ache and even to loosen sinus pressure. My girlfriend loves the skin treatment attachments as well. Typical to the Thera brand it has all the force you need. Just make sure you use the electro cream when using the micro current or you'll feel an unpleasant tingle!JoeyP

I purchased this serum after receiving a free sample. I haven't finished my first bottle. It's very moisturizing. But honestly, for the price, I'm not sure there's a noticeable difference in lifting. Tri-Therapy Lifting Serum Great serum for daily use. I love the bottle and dropper for dispensing just the right amount! After applying to cleansed skin it goes on very smoothly. It did take a bit to fully absorb and left my skin feeling like it definitely has serum on it sort of like a makeup primer. I get rejuvenation facial massage once a month from a spa; recently they raised microdermabrasion ( 6-7 min sessions) which added on top of my routine rejuvenation treatment to $40 from $20. Thus I bought Trophy microdermabrasion kit instead of paying $40 per session. I get better results then the treatment I get from the facial spa and I can do microdermabrasion anytime I needed. Yes I usually wait to review products, but this one I didn't really need to wait this long, lol.. These 2 devices with the Serums changed my skin, and I'm so pleased with both devices. I also purchased some extra tips and depending on the area or where I'm at in my skin care regimen I can use which ever tip works best for my current skin condition. This Christmas I am adding the Blue panal for my light and I wish I had bought it last year! Even at my age, I still struggle with hormonal breakouts but I also like how this will work great for my sons back. The Red light is amazing and yes I still use my led face mask, but I actually use this daily bc it's so quick and easy! That's half the battle when it comes to skincare…. consistency! And this Red light is super easy and quick, but very effective. I don't have 20 minutes every single day to dedicate to my led mask but this you will definitely find 5 minutes. I really like to use mine in the am and pm. Keep your boxes! Store your devices in their box unless you've found that special something that will hold and protect your device. The MIcrodermabrasion is absolutely fabulous! I use to pay 350 a session for this and now I do it myself and since it's at home I've been able to be more consistent with it and it has changed the texture of my skin. I'm blonde with blue eyes and have always struggled with breakouts, and that did not do my skin any favors later in life when it came to texture. Peels and microdermabrasion, and led therapy are the 3 main things that smoothed my texture of my skin. I can't say enough great things about both of these! The only thing better than these devices is Trophy Skin's Customer Service! Your investment in any device is only as good as the company behind it, and they have always been so quick to respond and respond to any questions I have had. I have seen some reviews that complain about that, but I personally have never had an issue. Responses can end up in your Spam, Junk folders so make sure you check those and add them as your contact. Just a suggestion if your not getting a response. I have many friends that have devices with TS and noone has ever had any issues. I love how this Version of the microdermabrasion has so many ways to adjust levels of suction and customize your treatment to your specific needs. It's very user friendly and it seems to stay charged for quite a while. I must admit if I'm using the machine on my full face/neck/chest (Now 1 or 2 times monthly) I like to keep it plugged it in so that I know I'm getting the same level of intensity at the end as I'm getting at the beginning. The only thing I haven't figured out is the kinetic toning… anytime I'm not super sure of what I'm doing and something is pulling at my skin on my face…. I stop. I'd love to hear if anyone actual uses this feature, and how they use it. The pore extraction is good, not great. I think with some additional tips for this would solve that issue. That seems to be why I pull out my old pore device is bc I want to use the various sizes of tips. The suction power is definitely there, but this is not my go to device when it comes to pore extraction. But tips are easy enough to add on. I'm a body lotion snob…having said that when this was recommend I decided to try it and I'm soooo glad I did! First off it smells so clean and fresh, doesn't compete with my fragrance, it's very moisturizing while not being heavy, or greasy, and lasts all day. This is my new go to for daily moisturizer. Hate to be a hater, but compelled to leave this review. I am not someone who is particularly sensitive to scents. I actually like scented products, am obsessed with fragrances, etc. But the Sol de Janeiro products are so over-the-top scented that I regret putting them on my skin. I tried a sample of the Bum Bum cream because everyone was so in love with it and it was a nice sheen to my legs, but the scent was nauseating. Now years later, I figured I’d give this one a shot since I am a big florals gal and I heard so much about how lovely the scent was. Well, my god. Not only was the fragrance unbearable when I put it on, but it will not go away. This will probably sound nuts, but it’s been over 24 hours, I have worked out, taken a shower since, exfoliated, etc, and some of the scent is *still* on my body. So, if you love this scent, that’s amazing—cheaper to put it on every other day than daily! Put your nose up to it for, like, a full minute and see how you feel about it. I wish I’d done so because I never would’ve put it on my skin if I’d known I was signing on for days of it. It didn’t quite have the sheen of the Bum Bum, but it definitely made my skin smooth, so, if you like the scent, it is probably a good buy (and why I gave it two stars). Wow! This beautiful pink jar contains a WONDERFULLY smelling potion that makes my skin smooth & tight! The scent is perfect! I’ve been looking for a sweeter smelling body cream – because now that I’ve found SDJ I don’t bother with body lotion anymore. I did not think that Sol De Janeiro could come out with a better scent than their Cheirosa '62 scent (bum bum) but they came out with the Bom Dia scent and I loved it even more and then they come out with this scent and I am just shocked! The smell is so divine and incredible I just catch myself wondering how in the world they manage to make every scent better and better! (I'm not a fan of the Banana something scent tho), and I honestly think that this Belja Flor scent is my absolute favorite and it is pretty hard to decide between these 3 scents because they are all SO amazing! What made me also love Bom Dia more than Bum Bum is that it is way more hydrating then the Bum Bum, I never felt the Bum Bum being hydrating enough so that I only used for the scent but it never hydrated my skin enough, and Belja Flor is even more hydrating and my dry as desert skin absolutely LOVES it! The scent and the consistency of this cream is just everything I want in a body cream, unbelievable scent and thick but not too thick (I mean like Rihanna's body lotion thick), it's just perfect. It hydrates the skin perfectly without leaving a greasy residue on your body that takes forever to sink in, like the Rihanna one, and leaves your skin with this beautiful scent that lingers on even the next day. I've only used the cream a few times as I got a sample with one of my orders and immediately bought the full size and body mist so I can't really comment on if it does actually do anything long term for the skin like it promises but even if it doesn't live up to that claim I'd still love it for the other perks it brings. They are more than enough for me! Now I'm just waiting to see what their next scent will be! And I really hope that they make more products with the BeIja Flor scent like shower gel, hand cream, foot cream and just every product they have I'd love to get in this scent and the Bom Dia scent. I got sample of this. This Moisturizing Cream rich and to my surprise it leaves you feeling moisturised but not heavy non-greasy. It was easily absorbed into the skin. It feels like a very high end body butter like moisturizer. It prevent moisture loss for intense moisturization with 48 hour hydration. The smell is nice too, not a chemical smell like I was expecting. It’s also great after we have been using sanitizer a lot of the times and our hands are drying to crack and bleeding. I think this is super great for winter especially if you have extremely dry and sensitive skin. It is definitely on my must purchase list. When I tell you I NEVER write reviews as a 30 year old! I used to use Cetaphil's blue lid moisturizer with the "Good Housekeeping" stamp on it, and became discontinued a few years ago. It was the only thing that helped my EXTREMELY dried Accutane skin when I was on it back in 2015. The ingredients to the one with the blue lid were impeccable! I soon became upset when Cetaphil changed the look to the packaging with the green lid and the ingredients were most definite not to par with the original. I stopped using the moisturizer for a few years until recently, I decided to give it a try again with the winter approaching. I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THIS NEW & IMPROVED VERSION AGAIN! I can not begin to tell you how excited I got when I applied it to my face & literally felt like I was back in 2015 with the same exact good old version. I woke up after JUST one use and my skin looks glass like, not even exaggerating! PLEASE DO NOT EVER DISCONTINUE THIS AGAIN! You have a loyal customer again, I have told pretty much everyone I know to go back to Cetaphil because the moisturizer with the blue lid is BACK! I have severe sensitive skin and suffer from acne and have since I was a teenager. I don't get it nearly as bad as I did in highschool. I used to get made fun of and told I had herpes all over my face. It has been a constant lifelong battle and I've tried everything under the sun. I love Cetaphil as they're known for good skincare and results. I love that this is gentle and helps remove excess dirt oil without over drying..but unfortunately even this doesn't completely resolve my acne. The only products that I've found to work are Perfectly Posh (now empowered by innov8tive supplements) but this is still a great wash. I like the foamy later and that it's gentle, quick and easy to use.jessie.c

At 44, I have struggled (and wasted so much money) on foundations which cover brilliantly but settle in my expression lines around my forehead and eyes. This is made worse with my very dry skin. I turned to tinted moisturisers and cc creams but the coverage wasn’t enough and I looked ‘tired’. I read so many reviews about this product and decided to try it in ‘Porcelain’. Wayne Goss had explained that he dislikes many liquid foundations, preferring targeted products such as this. I have tried it twice now and absolutely love it! Because it is in stick form, you can add the foundation exactly where you need it, blending it out with a kabuki brush or sponge (I purchased the Sigma favourites brush set on Lisa Aldridge’s YouTube recommendation and love them). This is definitely not high coverage, although you can layer it. It gives medium coverage and looks like skin, rather than a mask. I don’t have any pigmentation, acne scars or large pores so my concern was dark circles and areas of redness, especially in the T zone. I’ve tried a bazillion different foundations- stick, liquid, cream, and so on- but my ride or die for my makeup kit will always be Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick. I can use it as a touch up, concealer, light coverage to full coverage foundation, bronzer, and contour… and the shade selection is perfection. Any client. If one color isn’t perfect, I can mix them to create a personalized color. Or three. Musicians under stage lights, quick runway touch ups or a mama on the go. With proper skin prep, it’ll melt right in and never look cakey. The key is to build it up with light layers, adding more only where it’s needed. Use a brush with a deeper golden color as bronzer to add warmth, or your fingers to melt a slightly lighter color where you want a natural highlight. Worth every penny.kristen.s

As my review title states, these are my favourite products from Bobbi Brown. I have very dry skin, but in the hot summer months I need a good moisturiser that is rich enough but doesn't sit on the surface of my skin. This moisturiser is perfect – it's not strongly scented like the BB face base, in fact I can't detect any aroma at all, and it just leaves my skin perfectly hydrated, but not shiny. I find the foundation stick to be the most versatile of all BB foundations – I can adjust the coverage as needed, by applying with fingers, a brush or mixing with some moisturiser when I want a really light coverage. I only need the smallest amount for a flawless finish and I can also spot-apply it, so there's no need for a separate concealer. The range of shades also means that I can find a prefect match (Beige) for my light-to-medium freckly complexion. What's not to love? The smokey eye mascara is a classic for a reason – I can again adjust the coverage as needed. For a very natural finish I wipe the mascara wand on a bit of tissue to remove any excess before applying or I can build up to a more dramatic look by applying multiple coats. Hate to be a hater, but compelled to leave this review. I am not someone who is particularly sensitive to scents. I actually like scented products, am obsessed with fragrances, etc. But the Sol de Janeiro products are so over-the-top scented that I regret putting them on my skin. I tried a sample of the Bum Bum cream because everyone was so in love with it and it was a nice sheen to my legs, but the scent was nauseating. Now years later, I figured I’d give this one a shot since I am a big florals gal and I heard so much about how lovely the scent was. Well, my god. Not only was the fragrance unbearable when I put it on, but it will not go away. This will probably sound nuts, but it’s been over 24 hours, I have worked out, taken a shower since, exfoliated, etc, and some of the scent is *still* on my body. So, if you love this scent, that’s amazing—cheaper to put it on every other day than daily! Put your nose up to it for, like, a full minute and see how you feel about it. I wish I’d done so because I never would’ve put it on my skin if I’d known I was signing on for days of it. It didn’t quite have the sheen of the Bum Bum, but it definitely made my skin smooth, so, if you like the scent, it is probably a good buy (and why I gave it two stars). I did not think that Sol De Janeiro could come out with a better scent than their Cheirosa '62 scent (bum bum) but they came out with the Bom Dia scent and I loved it even more and then they come out with this scent and I am just shocked! The smell is so divine and incredible I just catch myself wondering how in the world they manage to make every scent better and better! (I'm not a fan of the Banana something scent tho), and I honestly think that this Belja Flor scent is my absolute favorite and it is pretty hard to decide between these 3 scents because they are all SO amazing! What made me also love Bom Dia more than Bum Bum is that it is way more hydrating then the Bum Bum, I never felt the Bum Bum being hydrating enough so that I only used for the scent but it never hydrated my skin enough, and Belja Flor is even more hydrating and my dry as desert skin absolutely LOVES it! The scent and the consistency of this cream is just everything I want in a body cream, unbelievable scent and thick but not too thick (I mean like Rihanna's body lotion thick), it's just perfect. It hydrates the skin perfectly without leaving a greasy residue on your body that takes forever to sink in, like the Rihanna one, and leaves your skin with this beautiful scent that lingers on even the next day. I've only used the cream a few times as I got a sample with one of my orders and immediately bought the full size and body mist so I can't really comment on if it does actually do anything long term for the skin like it promises but even if it doesn't live up to that claim I'd still love it for the other perks it brings. I picked up this product along with Cereve Resurfacing Retinol Serum at ulta. I actually got it for a friend with thinning skin that's prone to scabbing. After two days of using this on my face even my hands began to heal, from painful splitting due to dry skin. My face has had open wounds, they began at the end of my lips. They hadn't healed completely in almost a year. This was after applying triple antibiotic cream all day! I really can't tell what it's done to my normal skin tissue but it's cleared up my splitting, cracking painful skin issues. Even with blood transfusions nothing helped completely heal my lips or fingertips. I was sleeping in medicated Band-Aids and nothing. For the first time in almost a year I can touch my lips without it hurting. I do realize that if I discontinue usage my skin will probably start splitting again but I'm not spending hundreds of dollars either. I would recommend this to everyone, but if you have skin issues you have nothing to lose at least trying this product.grace.k

I accidentally got this thinking it’s a face cream. Apparently, most people use this on their body. However, I was in need for facial moisturizer and I had hopes for the ingredients in this cream to work on my acne, so I tried it on my face. I’ve only tried it for a day, but the cream is kinda in a solid form, unlike the lotion version. But it does melt on the skin and goes on rather smoothly. It does have somewhat oily feeling on the skin, but I can feel that it’s keeping moisture in my skin. The next day, I woke up with even toned skin, which made me happy as I have sensitive reddish skin. I hope it continues to work and not cause breakout. So glad I tried this product! My dermatologist recommended CeraVe daytime moisturizer for my skin after I got skin cancer since it has SPF in it and I fell in love with the daytime cream. I decided to try this body moisturizer as a cure for these weird bumps I get on my chest. I have tried everything for YEARS to get rid of these bumps but nothing really worked. I have been using this product for 1 week and the bumps are gone! I still see 1-2 but compared to the 15 sometimes 20 little whitehead looking bumps I would get, I am so grateful! I also got the PM cream and face wash and have noticed a complete difference in my face as well. It’s important to mention I live in Florida so the climate is extremely humid which may contribute to my oily skin but cerave helps to control the oil without drying out my skin in all of the products I’ve used! I bought the travel size version of this to start as I didn't want to spend a lot on a product that my skin was going to react to, or that I didn't like the texture/absorption of. No problems there on either front. This moisturiser is probably one of the best I have used in all my years. It's light enough to leave my skin non greasy and my make-up sits really nicely. Whether that be light day to day or evening out coverage. No break-outs (yes, even late 40 somethings still get breakouts) which is a big bonus. Once I get near the end of the travel size I will be purchasing the full size. This Retinol serum from The Inkey List has been reviewed a lot but I wanted to touch on a couple of things that I've learned that may not be noticed if you don't know what to look for in the ingredients (which is completely normal as I'm talking about bio-chem level stuff). was the first (and only) product I tried from the company, under the pitch they were cruelty free and sold only vegan skin care. Some easy research proved the later not true but with regard to this serum I was happy the Squalane used is plant derived and not from the livers of our shark "friends". The packaging is minimal which is fine by me because at a lower price point I'd rather know the money is invested in what is going on my skin than what I'm seeing on my shelf. This formula has barely any fragrance, it is not very viscous and feels rather lightweight; I've read where some people treat it like a moisturizer and use a compatible serum with it for better results. I took some points away because of the ingredient labels. Without boring you with a dissertation on retinoids it is important to know that retinoids are different types of vitamin A compounds that are labeled in 4 tiers based on varying potency. The strongest would include retinol and retinoic acid and these need a prescription while examples of lower tier retinoids are bexarotine, adapalene and tazarotene (all tier 3). [At one time all retinol creams were sold only by prescription] Essentially all retinoids aim to work like the top tier retinol but they have to process through phases to metabolize (change) which means less side effects and smoother transitions for a similar desired outcome that just takes weeks instead of days. What the ingredients list on this serum is "…1% stable retinol and 0.5% granactive retinoid…" where they list the stable retinol as Retistar. The short part is Retistar is only 0.05% Retinol after final concentration so this is a mistake for a skincare company not to catch. This makes this a good serum for anti-aging whether starting in your 20's, 30's or 40's. It wouldn't be ideal for someone combating acne and oily skin issues because the strength just isn't there. I noticed some overall brighter skin appearance after around 2.5 weeks of daily use (I tried every other day twice before using daily as a precaution). It is worth trying at the price point but I hope they address the ingredients or reformulate and mentin to the targeted consumer.becky.s

To start off, I want to disclose I am giving it a 5 star rating simply because it is the first retinol serum/product that hasn’t burned my skin. I have not been using it long enough to vouch for its effectiveness, but if I can figure out how to update this review when that time comes, I will. I’ve only been using it for about a month now and am THRILLED that it hasn’t ruined my skin! I’m 28. I’m hoping to reduce/eliminate some of my fine lines around my mouth and on my forehead with this serum but also like the idea of it also being a preventative so I apply it all over my face instead of only in those problem spots. I have dry sensitive skin with mild rosacea on my cheeks so I have to be very choosy about the actives I use on my face. This retinol is unbelievably gentle compared to ones I’ve tried in the past (granted I was a total newbie to retinol at the time so I’m pretty sure I was using too high of a percentage before). I did feel a bit of tingling or “stinging” sensation the first 2-3 weeks of using it every 2 days, but my skin has since then adjusted and I don’t feel it anymore. When I first started using this serum I did have to mix it with moisturizer (I used Inkey Lists vitamin a/c moisturizer) plus I was scared of my skin reacting horribly so I was being extra careful. Not totally necessary if you have a decent tolerance with retinol but I found it was a nice way to ease into it for my skin type in particular. Not really noticing any results so far but I’m glad my skin has adjusted so well. I’m going to continue using it and hopefully see some reduction in fine lines! I now am able to use it every other night instead of waiting 2 nights in between.gabrielle.b

I never saw results with Retinol before until I tried this one! The key is definitely consistency (every 2nd night for me), applying on clean skin and following with a moisturiser. It just makes my skin look so much better. It's not just that it softens the look of fine lines, I can see how its improving my skin texture all over. My skin is so much smoother and I already know it will slow down the appearance of future fine lines. There may be some purging as your skin adjusts to it during the first few uses. I had a very small number of tiny cystic spots. But to be honest, they disappeared overnight. I was glad I knew about the possibility of purging (from other reviews here) as otherwise I would probably have picked those spots and made them worse and also I might have wrongly thought it wasn't working or that I was having a reaction. This is a good needling tool. The other ones have a gel that holds the needles. Once you use alcohol on that gel to cleanse the gel deforms. This tool is very sturdy and can be cleaned properly. It lasts awhile and they recommend replacement every two months or so. These do improve the look of your scin and makes it look clean and fresh. It has even erased small scars. This I used it 3x on my face, and obviously I was using another trueskin serum and a brown spot popped up under one of my eyes. So stopped using there. If you haven’t ever microneedled before I highly recommend you start doing it now! I started this as I was struggling with extreme deep red pigmentation, acne, and scarring from acne. Using a microneedler allows your face to better absorb face products. For me that was my acne cream and a light moisturizer. My scarring has visibly changed. It’s almost gone. I’m not having pigment issues anymore and my acne has come under control. You have to try this!raylene.o
