Best Stick Vacuum For Vinyl Floors (2025 Update)

Having purchased two Dyson handhelds in the past, I thought I would give Hoover a try this time around (as I do own a pull around canister Hoover that I've had since 2007 and its been awesome) . Unfortunately, I am left disappointed. If you want a vacuum that won't suck up the smallest of crumbs but rather push them around and shoot them out in every direction causing you more work, clogs up with little to no dust particles constantly, and then get zero help or back up from their customer support, then this is the vacuum for you! Because the vacuum couldn't be returned to store once it was used, I contacted the company directly. They proceeded to copy and paste their "de-clogging" instructions, and then ignored the rest of my emails. I am capable of reading a manual and this didn't help me what-so-ever. I cannot believe they actually advertise this as a PET model, because I am using it for much less dirty jobs than pet hair and/or litter, etc. and it's essentially useless. The only good thing I have found about it is the dual batteries and the battery life. However, that isn't very helpful alone when the vacuum doesn't do its job properly. Unfortunately due to the lack of support from Hoover itself, I will not be purchasing any more of their products or recommending to anyone else.kmitschke

I am quite impressed with my new vacuum. Every detail of it seems well thought out which means a lot in this day and age. It really seems to be built to last a long time. All the electronic parts are protected. I really appreciate the brushless "digital" motor. Every little detail is engineered like the battery and charger LED animations syncing together. It came with a silent 4-amp fast charger that charges fully in one hour. This is even including that it waits to charge the battery until it is the optimal temp so it doesn't degrade faster. Each battery and the whole vacuum have a three year limited warranty. The batteries have built-in smart BMS's that communicate with the vacuum and charger to make sure the cells are within their optimal ranges. I noticed the wheels are multi-piece with rubber tread unlike other vacuums I've seen. The whole vacuum is quite simple and intuitive. The phone customer service was some of the best I've ever had. The packaging was recyclable, even the plastic bags. The regular mode seems to clean better than our old corded Shark vacuum and the boost mode is crazy and like suctions it to the carpet. It gets a whopping 9 minutes of run time on boost mode though. The brushroll head is like 3/4 the width of the Shark's so you have to do more lines. The brushroll motor stopped many times to cool down today while I was vacuuming our nasty apartment's carpet. I needed to swap batteries a few times. I charged the other battery while I was using the other. I got the second battery for free as a promotion and it's very needed. Being a cordless stick vacuum is really quite nice but while it can go all the way under couches the weight is located where your hand is which makes it feel a lot heavier than it is. The hours of online research I did was definitely worth it. It would've been a five-star review but Hoover/FedEx's communication on the payment and shipping was very non-existent. Did lots of research on many different brands/types of battery powered handheld vacuums for auto and coffee cart cleaning. I roast my own coffee, addicted to espresso daily and those things can be a bit messy at times. This vacuum makes very short/efficient work of cleaning everything I put it through. I could tell just by unboxing it that the build quality is outstanding just based on the feel of the materials used, let alone actually charging/using it. The system is very well thought out with every possible attachment needed for all sorts of mild/moderate cleaning jobs. Very compact to get into the most confined areas too. The filtration system is as efficient as advertised as it never loses suction and the actual filter stays spotless due to the design. Super easy to empty the filter container with no mess/inconvenience. Have seen a few complaints in reviews regarding the battery capacity and yes it does fade when being pushed on MAX cleaning, but it does a great/quick job nonetheless. People should understand you simply can't have MAX performance/capacity simultaneously… Both battery packs give good runtime for the use I put it through and charge in a reasonable amount of time and don't experience any sort of low self-discharge when sitting on a shelf unused for any realistic period of time. Nice to have the option to buy more packs as these age as we have had to toss other brands when the battery fades due to it NOT being user serviceable and just dies. Last point I will make is the awesome design of the powered brush roller as it works very well at various angles and being able to remove the brush roller for easy cleaning is ingenious. Most other brands require the debris to be cut/pulled off of that part due to terrible design.Thomas

I've been using this product for a little over a month. My first initial reaction was that this product is just okay. A few weeks later my feelings haven't changed. First thing I noticed was that the battery life isn't great. On regular mode I can get the entire house (minus one carpeted room that's about 120 sqft or so) vacuumed and still have a some battery life left. Our house is about 1500 sqft. What I really dislike is that on the max suction mode the battery lasts about seven to 10 minutes on a full charge. I understand that it is high battery usage but on heavy cleaning and dusting days this is frustrating. After a regular vacuuming session I have to wait another five hours for this thing to fully charge just to use it another few minutes in order to get dusting done which is extremely inconvenient. If Dyson would have made it with the option to work while on the charger / still plugged in it would have made ALL of the difference. I haven't used it on the one room in our house that is carpeted and I honestly don't know if that is even possible with any of the connections. It didn't come with a user manual like all other products electronic products that I have purchased. It did have a sheet that gave you a link to an online user manual but I am more of a paper in my face type of person. I have having to click through links to find what I need. It does come with quite a few connectible pieces. I don't really know what the difference between a few of them are or what they're even called but I haven't had any issues using them so no complaints with those. The item itself is extremely convenient and easy to use. I REALLY wish that it came with maybe a retractable chord to plug in when the batter life isnt sufficient. I have been a Dyson owner since early 2005 (I still have that one and it still works). I was using the Dyson V7 Animal until my wife purchased this upgraded one for me. Right away, I could feel and see the difference! With 2 children, a large dog (that never stops shedding), and my wife and I, keeping our house clean is nearly impossible. The Dyson V8 Animal Pro has been amazing and extremely helpful! I only have 3 general complaints about it, which stop me from giving it a 5 Star Review. First, the container becomes full very quickly and having to empty it so often is a little annoying (I know the newer models have addressed that). Second, the stick portion is a little short for taller people like me and I don’t think that adding a second stick would function well not be practical; this causes me to have to lean over while vacuuming, which means my back starts aching. Third, a lack of accessories! There are more attachment tools for my V7 than my newer V8. More directly, there doesn’t seem to be a hard floor attachment option. I have checked their website, but there are no hard floor tools offered for this vacuum (Dyson V8 Animal Pro). I would be particularly interested in the tool that worked on both the carpet and hard floors. Other than that, I really do love this little vacuum.DaBear

This is the second Dyson I have owned. The previous one I purchased at a retailer that offered an extended warranty for purchase. The vacuum stopped working shortly after the Dyson two year warranty. The extended warranty company was great. We sent the vacuum to them and they determined they could not repair it and refunded the entire amount that we paid for the vacuum. The second one we purchased at Costco and they did not offer the extended warranty, but talked us into purchasing because they would take back if we had any problems. Well once again right after the two year Dyson warranty has expired, the vacuum is not working correctly again. Pretty sure Costco won't take back after two years, although I will also complain to them. They are a great vacuum, just a lot of expense for something that lasts only two years. I hope some of the other companies venturing into cordless stick vacuums become successful because I don't want to keep buying a vacuum that does not last.K Wood

I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy

I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I am so so so bummed and wish I would have returned this while I had the chance. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY PICKS UP DOG HAIR.Megan

I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. My house feels cleaner and its super easy to use.If you find it on special buy it!Kelly

This is our 4th Electrolux hard surface vacuum, two 12 volt and an 18 volt. We absolutely love this vacuum and were very upset when we couldn't find it anywhere on line. A couple of years ago we bought a Dyson 10 because we couldn't find an 18 volt Electrolux. It is not in any way comparable or even as convenient as the Electrolux. We love the swivel head, the easy recharging stand and removable hand vac, so much easier and simpler than the Dyson. When we tried to buy an Electrolux, we were told it was no longer sold in the USA, but then we found it through Amazon. It cost double the amount of our last 18 volt Electrolux, but we were thrilled to get this vacuum. Please let us know if you come back to the USA, we will definitely buy another one!!!JoeMar

I jumped at buying another ergorapido, the minute I saw they were making them again, and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s well balanced and easy to maneuver. Most of all, it’s suction was far more than I expected, and far superior to the previous models I’ve had. And you can do mats by turning it down to low speed, without worrying about sucking up the end of the mat. Emptying the dust bin was a lot simpler than previous models, too. Oh, and Hair! Hair that winds around the roller cleans off easily with the tap of your foot on the snipper tool. The only thing lacking are the instructions— simply illustrations. A little more detail would be helpful. I would definitely buy this again.Brian406

This is our third Ergorapido. We purchased our first one over ten years ago because I kept tripping on the cord to my corded vacuum. We were so impressed with it that we put away our other vacuums and never use them. It has strong suction, long lasting battery, lighted so you can see under furniture, easy to maneuver, takes up very title space when recharging, has a small hand held version attached to it and it is cordless. We purchased our second one for upstairs. And now we purchased the third one to replace the first one when it dies because we use this handy vacuum daily and don’t want to be without our Ergorapido.Jhgmac

With our dog and our new baby all over the floor, we were getting much more worried about fur everywhere. I have a very good vacuum and hand vac already, but the vacuum is heavy and cumbersome and my back is not built for vacuuming the floor with a hand vac. This vacuum was a perfect addition to our home because it is light weight and portable, like the love child of the two vacuums we already had. It is also quiet, so I can vacuum the baby's arena everyday while she naps without waking her up. I feel silly since this in addition to so many other vacuums, but I didn't have the energy to pull out the big one on a daily basis, especially trying to get under furniture and plugging it into different outlets to reach the whole house. My Bissell is not as powerful, but I use it daily so the fur doesn't accumulate and it is better for our lifestyle. And since it has the hand vac attachment, I could have bought just this one instead of my previous two. Oops! Highly recommend, would buy again in a heartbeat. I greeted the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum with curious skepticism. Having used several vacuums in the past I knew the benefits and drawbacks of corded and cordless vacuums. I tried a Eureka cordless vacuum in the past and the battery took over 12 hours to charge for just 15-20 minutes of vacuuming power, with the suction power being extremely light. I also had a cordless vacuum by Puweike which constantly fell down because I didn't mount the stand against the wall as I had mostly dry wall in my place. I prefer cordless vacuums because even though the corded vacuums owned by Hoover and Oreck offer more power, they are a pain to move from room to room due to having to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cord. The Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum addressed all of these concerns and offered some unexpected surprises. This vacuum took less than one minute to assemble with only two parts to put together. I only had to charge the battery for four hours until it was ready to use. Upon charging it, I noticed the vacuum stands upright, so there is no need to add any mounted stand to the wall as it can be stored anywhere. I also love that I could turn on the brush roll on carpet and off on the hardwood to prevent scratching. The suction is extremely powerful to pick up even the smallest crumbs and I couldn't believe how easy it is to maneuver with the handle folding to get under the sofa. There is a huge bonus to this vacuum as well with the detachable middle which becomes a handheld vacuum for sofas and chairs. Another bonus is the brush and crevice tool for corners and upholstery. The dirt bin is so easy to empty and put back in the vacuum as well. I would recommend the Bissell ReadyClean Cordless Vacuum to all my friends and family. This lightweight cordless vacuum is exactly what I needed. I have a good sized 1 bedroom apartment that I share with a cat. A few rooms have area rugs and the rest is all vinyl flooring. I am constantly fighting a battle against cat hair, litter particles, and dust. And losing, until now. This is a dream on my vinyl floors and low pile rugs. I have a large thick pile rug in the living room that this does not work so well on. The suction makes it hard to use when going against the grain of the rug so I use it everywhere else and get the old vac out for that one spot. It’s what I intended to do anyway so I didn’t take off a star. I think it’s swivel makes maneuverability fantastic. The battery works great, assembly was quick and super easy, it’s small and sits upright in a corner charging. It came with three handy attachments for with using the hand vac. The cord isn’t too long or too short. It’s just right for my needs. I am so impressed with this vacuum and happy with my purchase.MelissaV

The Dirt Devil Power Swerve Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is great for any household with or without pets. In a house with 3 dogs, 1 cat, a rabbit and a 9-year old boy there is always something on my floors. I love how easy it is to use this vacuum, I just unplug and go. The battery is strong enough to cover my entire 1600+ square foot house in a quick clean. The suction is very powerful so I have to be careful with throw rugs. The swivel head makes getting into corners and around objects so much easier. This thing has been a lifesaver in keeping my floors clean with our busy lives.Klamn00

A bunch of dummies must have peed off Amazon by giving inaccurate reviews, because you can't give a review of this vac on Amazon any longer. But so impressed with this little vac, I'll post the review here. Assembling it is a piece of cake: Pop on the bottom roller; insert the handle and press down to lock it into place. You have to charge the vac up for a few hours before it's ready. After it was charged completely up, the battery lasted for 15 minutes or so on 1970's thick pile carpet. Before purchasing this little vac, we used a "Eureka The BOSS" for our family room. After 14 or 15 years of heavy use, it finally shot craps. It went on to wherever good vacuums go when they're ready for retirement. Back to the Dirt Devil: I ran "The BOSS" over 70% of the carpet just before it completely died 3 days ago. After charging, I ran the Dirt Devil over the same area today. Pictures are worth a thousand words, so you be the judge.Don

So disappointed in this. I purchased it yesterday. It took hours to charge fully. I charged it before I turned it on. Then it started shutting itself off while cleaning for a short time. Used it for 2 fifteen minute cleaning stretches. I emptied it twice because the suction was terrible. It’s been charging for hours again. Not even finish cleaning my main floor. Don’t recommend for any carpets. Ok for floors. I have a few small rugs in my porch for shoes, but doesn’t do a good job cleaning them. Light weight and easy to use. Like the swivel head. like the fact that the brush can be removed for easy cleaning. Hope I can return it.Arielle

I've been using this vacuum for a few weeks and I don't have a single complaint yet. I really love how it was designed. It is very sturdy, yet light enough to easily maneuver around the house and over any type of floor surface. The vacuum head swivels effortlessly and intuitively. I especially love the headlight feature which really helps with picking up things in small crevices and under furniture. I have a large long-haired dog and this vacuum picks up the hair without any issues! The battery is very compact; the charger takes up no more space than my single-serve coffee maker as shown in the photo. Charging only takes a few hours and delivers ample runtime for me to vacuum all three floors of my house. The dust/waste bin is easy to empty and clean. Also, the extra two nozzle heads come with a holder than conveniently & cleverly snaps onto the neck of the vacuum handle, so you always have what you need to get the job done! Overall, I LOVE this product. It is the best of both worlds between a clunky traditional corded vacuum and the compact but underperforming handheld vacuum.tfunny

Had this vacuum for roughly 18 to 24 months, has worked pretty flawlessly up until I dealt with the dreaded brush head issue I read others similarly having, after a search of google and Craftsman and finding zero real solutions, I DID NOT spend $200 on a "throw away and buy new" appliance, that simply isn't the United States I grew up in. Anyway, after a week of the head turning on only to shut down after 2 or 3 seconds, I started my disassembly quest by removing the head assembly and looking at the bottom, where I found a red tab with arrows pointing up. I then held said tab with one finger while prying the brush head out with a flat head screwdriver. I clean the brush head. We then see a red gear at the end with a tiny screw holding it, take your tiny phillips head scredriver and remove screw. Gear will be reluctant but wiggle it on out with small pliers or maybe flat screwdriver. THAT was where my problem lied as 18 months of tiny carpet fibers had gotten in there to cause enough friction to stop brush head. Remove the foreign matter and (optionally) apply just a drop of 3 in 1 onto the metal surface. Reverse to reassemble and you may have just saved some aggravation dealing with a silly warranty process or quite possibly some money. SBD Craftsman should be paying me for all the ambassador work I do for them as a DIY nobody, I tell ya hwut. Only problem I'm presently having is the weak "standing" mechanism when the vac isn't being used, it can stand on its own for an hour or so before it wants to lean either way and inevitably falls to the side. It is closet kept where I lean it up against the wall so it's not as big of a deal to me. But can be aggravating between breaks. Would definitely reccomend!! Just don't buy from Lowe's, shopping Amazon or Ace comes with ALOT more dignity in supporting an actual hardware store, Thank you.Kazi9

I've been using this stick vac every day for over a week and that's about 6 times more than I used my traditional corded vacuum. The convenience of not being limited by the length of a cord and wall outlet availability makes it a game changer for me. The motor is strong and cleans as well as my 110v corded vac, but with less noise. The ability to disable the brush makes cleaning tile/wood floors a completely different experience. The 3 power settings are perfectly located to cycle between with your thumb so that you don't suck up a floor mat when transitioning from wood/tile to rug/mat. The ability to detach the motor from the stick and use the brush head in a stubby fashion makes cleaning carpeted stairs unbelievably easier than my traditional stick vac. I have used the shorty to clean the couches and used the adapters to clean under the cushions. With the stick attached to the broom head I can reach under furniture much farther than my old stick vacuum, the LED lights also help find all your kids toys that were lost before sucking them up. The vacuum is very low profile and almost lays down flat so you don't have to move furniture around to clean. Very nice and time saving! The broom head pans from side to side while using the vacuum and I found this to be annoying when trying to go fast. I discovered a way to lock the head and am able to maneuver the vacuum more aggressively without the head flopping around. Craftsman should address that in future revisions of the vacuum, I could see someone making a kit as an "upgrade" and selling those… The wheels on the broom head are nice, but I've found them to be a little lacking when it comes to maneuverability. If the wheels were replaced with ball casters then you would have infinite movement in your X and Y axis and could slide the vacuum in any direction to reach around obstructions. I hope this is something that Craftsman would consider for future releases. The battery life is short lived with the included 2 Ah battery, but enough for me to complete about 1,500 sqf. With an additional battery or (4 Ah) you can accomplish more work. I found myself trying to race the battery to get the cleaning done, which opened my eyes to the swiveling head and rigid wheels. Cleaning is easy. Pull the container, push a button (over a garbage can) and empty the contents. The twisty knob agitator cleans fine particles from the filter (much better than banging it on the garbage can or your other hand). I wish there was a vacuum float gauge you could monitor to quickly determine the health of your filter. I've seen welding helmets with clear tubes filled with small plastic balls and graduations on the tube that let you see air flow. This would make replacing the filter more accurate than just throwing it away and buying a new one every 6 months. I really enjoy using this vacuum and find myself looking for reasons to use it. Really like all the attachments, helps get the job done. Needed a soft brush that was safe for my hardwood floors Greenworks covered that. Love the LED lights make it easier to see the missed spots. Super happy with performance & ease of operation, no cord to drag around. I have carpet and a dog, and the suction is great! Battery life is impeccable I can do the whole house on a single charge or more. I also like how dumping the waste bin scrapes along the filter so you can truly get it all emptied out. I cannot recommend this enough! Added bonus, the 24V lithium-ion battery (also included) can be used as a power bank for charging compatible devices such as phones and tablets. The promise is great, but the delivery of that promise is marginal. I have now purchased multiple Greenworks tools – trimmer, blower, lawn mower, drill and driver – and based on that experience, expected greatness from this cordless stick vacuum. I did not get greatness, just a shade above mediocrity. The battery life is much less than desired. I bought it in the hopes of a 45 minute use per charge, as advertised, but getting anywhere near that means you must run it on its minimal power. More important, though, the service at Greenworks absolutely STINKS! I have tried 5 times to call them (they don't provide an email option) and have been on hold 45+ minutes each time, and finally gave up. If most of the products weren't so good on their own, I suspect this company would have long ago gone out of business. In summary – try their tools if you want to go it alone. I just moved into a new apartment and have saved up for this Dyson and it was the best decision I have made. My new place is a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with mostly hard floors and carpets in the bedroom. After going to Dyson’s website and taking their quiz. First, I have to suggest going through Dyson’s website to purchase and not through a 3rd party (Amazon, Target, etc). Dyson offers a price match, you are ensured a warranty, if you wish to get additional attachments, you can know you are getting the correct ones. Next, after know about what model and price point I needed, I was able to look at each machine and pick out the best that would work for me, my cleaning routine, and my home. My Dyson came with so many different attachments (included!!!) but the reason I chose this one was it had different heads for one for each type of flooring, carpet or hard floors. I can remove the wand to make the attachments handheld to clean my couch, add it and a soft bristle head to clean the walls and the top corners next to my ceiling. I could go on and on. This isn’t a vacuum… this has replaced so many different tools I used to clean and, above all, my favorite part, as new apartments can come some lingering bugs, I take the head off and can stay far enough away and still catch and dump the creepy-crawlies. It is my new bug killing machine. As I said, I could write a novel about how much I love this Dyson. It was worth every penny.heather.n

First of all; I have a DC33 for almost 10 years and it is still working excellent, I had repaired a minor cosmetic issue but this is a great tool from Dyson. I really appreciate the thoughtful design of these machines and everything that Dyson produces. This is an outstanding company. Now, we bought the V8 Absolute and we are even more impressed with such beautiful design, with such a great details and mostly with the efficiency of a Dyson. The quality of the VB-Absolute is visible and tangible; this is a great investment and a great tool to implement in our home. I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from #bzzagent. The Bissell Poweredge vacuum was easy to put together out of the box. The suction power is good and I like the accessories it comes with. I was really disappointed that this vacuum does not have an LED light! For over $200.00 you would assume it would. That feature alone would not make me want to purchase this. Also I don't like the fact you have to mount the vacuum to the wall to store it. It should have the option to fold in half. This Bissell PowerEdge Cordless Vacuum is amazingly very satisfying to use! It has never fail me every time I use it. It cleans up really good, has a great suction and it also gets the edges well. It's lightweight and super easy to maneuver. We have two dogs that sheds a lot and small kids so we have an endless clutter. I needed a cordless vacuum specifically for the steps. I have wool carpet on steps and my corded vacuum and my hand vacuum just can't get steps fully cleaned so I thought of using this cordless stick vacuum with high suction power. I received this product within 7 days of shipping and the product comes packaged realy well to avoid any damages to the delicate pieces like canister during shipping and handling. Pros: It is very lightweight and easy to use specially on areas like steps, under the couch, and under the cabinets. The head of vacuum moves left and right easily so that it is easy to cover small spaces. It has got 3 levels of suction – you can choose one based on your needs. The suction power is great on carpets and rugs. I even attached a lint/dryer attachment (bought separately) on this vacuum and I was able to pull entire dirt and lint from my clothes dryer in 13 mins by setting it on level 3 suction. The filter was easy to clean- just press a button and the canister opens up. Things that need improvement – 1. Battery – I was able to use this vacuum on level 3 suction power for only 20 minutes and it took 5 and half hours to charge it fully. 2. Corner cleaning capability – It does not work nicely on the corners. I have to use my hand vacuum with an attachment to make sure that all the corners and tough areas are getting properly cleaned. 3. Difficult to attach canister – It took me some time to figure out and get hang of the process of attaching canister back to the vacuum after removing dirt. 4. It did not work so well on the hardwood floor – it was leaving the patches of dirt in between. Overall a decent product for small/tight spaces but that's about it. I would highly recommend this vacuum, first and foremost I love that it's super lightweight AND cordless, with runtime up to 44 minutes, which is plenty enough time to get alot of cleaning done! This vacuum works great at cleaning up messes and has plenty of suction power and I especially love that it also features an LED light at the base of the vacuum, that way you can see even more of what you're cleaning and you don't miss any hidden dirt! This stick vacuum also features a brush bar in the vacuum itself, so picking up hair is also a breeze! Something else that I admire about this product is the fact that it also doubles as a handheld vacuum, by simply removing the handheld top part which has an attachable crevice tool to even help get dirt in the trickiest places! I bought this to clean up kitty litter my cat tracks everywhere. I had been using a Dirt Devil (similar small vacuum) but as not pleased with its performance. So far, I prefer this one. I absolutely impressed with this stick vaccum because the suction is strong and it's very light weight.It clean floors, blinds, pick up animals fur which is a big plus. I can even vacuum my chairs. It is really easy to use even my wife can easily push it is not heavy. This vaccum doesn't take up much space perfect for small house light cleaning. I am no newbie when it comes to Shark Vacuums! I have used so many different vacuums and I always go back to the sharks! If you've never owned a stick vacuum before, be aware that it doesn't stand up on it's own. It does take a little getting used to because you can't just leave it and walk away. This also makes it harder to store than a normal vacuum because you have to lean it against a wall or you can hang it from a hook. However, the benefits outweigh this con in my opinion. I love how lightweight it is, which makes it easy to maneuver. It has swivel steering which allows you to go wherever you need it to and get in cracks and corners. It's small enough to get into tight spaces and under furniture. The suction is powerful and unlike an upright vacuum, you can easily detach the hand piece to clean curtains, baseboards, couches, etc. You could even dust your ceiling or fan blades with it. It's so easy to use! The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have the fully sealed Hepa filter like many of the other Shark vacuums have. I wish they'd include this on all their vacuums because I feel it's very important for dust & allergies. But overall, this vacuum is awesome! Highly recommended 🙂Scott81

I have the shark Rocket corded stick vac. I love this it is very unique, powerful, and lightweight. I love how this has many functionalities and the compact for storage. I love how you can go from carpet to Bare floors with a switch. I love that powerfulness and able to pick up dog hair. I love the use of the freewheelin the 360 degree swivel action easy to clean filter the sponge. I really love how it goes to an actual vacuum then you could go and do your ceiling and your floors with just this vacuum. It has a very long cord which I love it. I love how the wand on it it has a storage clip that when it comes to storage the other handle piece actually slides on trigger wand and then you just wind up the cord and it's done. Very unique love the storage love the power. It is a one button to release the dust cap. And when it comes to storing very Compact and little used up space and whenever you want to pull it out it just comes out on its Wheels.. I love that there is a to settings one for Bare floors and one for carpet very easy . I love the durability the performance is out of this world and I love the compact look that doesn't take much room at all to store it away. After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. I’ve owned other cordless vacuums and getting around 24 minutes of charge time is actually pretty good in comparison.Mkru

Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. (The charger mount is a neat idea IF you plan on mounting, since you can charge the battery by itself or leave it in the vacuum and charge through the vacuum without removing the battery)GlennT

I would rather lick my floors clean than spend my hard earned money on such a useless piece of equipment again. I have previously had a Bosch and Phillips stick vac and both were great but struggled to sustain enough battery to do my whole house. I purchased the Ryobi one as I loved the changeable battery idea. It sucks hair & dog hair fine… but if you want to see anything else get cleaned up… buy a different unit. It takes great delight in picking up everything larger than 2ml and spitting it directly behind you leaving a wake of rubbish confetti. I just love looking up my hallway and seeing what looks like the ants version of a festival clean up. This is the single most useless piece of equipment I own.Jazmin

I've purchased this vacuum once and am having replaced under warranty for a third time for the same reason. The brush motor head keeps burning out, rendering it useless. Overall: The vacuum has subpar suction if the brush is in place but not spinning. Removing the brush allows for much better suction on hard surfaces (which is great when the motor is dead) The dustbin is always clogged which means reduced suction and more frequent emptying. The unit is generally heavy to lug around. The attachments are loose fitting and fall out if you look at them wrong. Runtime varies between 20-40 minutes (with brush vs without) The warranty replacement is fantastic. I can't in good conscience recommend this product to anyone.Rollie

So firstly I ordered this Ryobi stick online and the Bunnings service was exceptional. I thought I'd try a Ryobi because I have quite a few other Ryobi products and batteries. Well WOW – this thing absolutely sh….ts on my other well known cyclonic stick vacuum that cost me over $1000 and now needs a new main body after its done barely any work in the 3 years I've had it. The Ryobi has strong suction, literally picks up everything, it is comfortable to to hold, really easy to manoeuvre as it has a better slightly smaller sized head. I used a 2.5amp battery because it was lighter and I still vacuumed for ages. I wouldn't say its overly noisy, that motor is working hard to lift floor debris. As this product develops, the method for emptying of the dirt barrel could be addressed but this unit is magic and Ive recommended this to all my friends – big thumb up.Heidi

This sweeeper is lightweight and has a lot of suction. It is so much easier to get this out to sweep my kitchen floor than getting out our regular vacuum. It is easy to empty the dirt collector. I purchased this product 8 months ago. It worked great initially. Now the hose connecting the stick to the floor cleaner has cracked and has gotten holes in it. I cannot clean my carpets with it anymore. I’ve contacted the company and am awaiting a response on a solution.Beth

Many criteria, isn't it? When I received this cordless stick vacuum, I first used that on a carpet, and you can't believe it sucked up so much dust from the cleaned carpet! I couldn't believe it and tried to use that in a different room and after using it I realized that the one I was using earlier was the heaviest & noisy and did not capture the microparticles which this little gem did on the very first use. The stick has a powerful light to see if the area is dirty and it automatically adjust the speed on the carpet and hard floor. Also, you don't need to hang this anyway as this can be kept anywhere without any back support. Based on my experience it has powerful suction and long-lasting battery life which you can easily use for your daily cleaning with a single charge. This vacuum is incredible! Things I love about it: – It is so light, and sucks up stuff so easily and well. You can press it twice for more suction. – The coolest part is there is a light on it so you actually see everything you're vacuuming up. I thought my floor was clean and then I used this vacuum- I couldn't believe how much was there that I couldn't see without the light and how it got up all the dog hair and dust so easily. It's such an awesome idea to have the small light on it- I've never seen that before. – It can lay flat so you can put it all the way under the couch or bed if it's raised up abt 3 or 4" off ground and you can turn it really easily to get edges. I've always had to wipe under the furniture so this is so nice and easy. – it automatically switches suction when you go over carpet vs wood from sensing it. – I LOVE that it's battery operated. the battery seems to last long- I vacuumed the whole downstairs and the charge was still there. I've just been plugging it in to charge every time I put the vacuum back so I'm not sure how long it lasts but seems to last pretty long. – my kids want to vacuum now bc they love seeing all the stuff with the light that gets cleaned up!!! Ha ha! It's really made vacuuming so much better and our floors are so much cleaner! Here's a before and after pic to give you an idea. Overall this is a great product. We have a lot of slate which is a bit bumpy but the vac handles it very well. When transitioning to carpet this is where it had a problem and the roller popped out. Now I just turn it off when I go from slate to carpet to area rugs. It does not like long shag so I’ll use my regular vac for those. A great feature is the headlight and that it feels almost self propelled, the maneuverability getting under things like a bed is fabulous. The fact that it’s a comfortable weight and no cord has tended to make me use it on my carpet three times a week, in fact I’ve not used my regular vacuum since receiving this. Don't sleep on this little monster! I have a two story house with carpet in the bedrooms (4) and in the bonus room. All other floors are hard. I also have 3 dogs that don't mind losing their hair everywhere!! I was doubtful when I took it out of the box, however to my surprise this little vacuum did it's job and did it well! I did have to empty the container more often but that just told me that it was getting what it needed to get! I can get under my couch without moving it due to the tilt function on the arm. When I take the arm off it sucks the dirt on my stairs w/ minimal effort! The only complaint I have is the battery doesn't last very long 🙁 (which is the ONLY reason I gave 4 stars) other than that don't look for anything else because you will be disappointed!Tracey

This isn’t the magic cordless stick vacuum i thought it would be. While it’s nice to have a cordless vacuum, it doesn’t work any better than an actual broom and dust pan. The suction is terrible. I used it to clean up kitty litter and it just throws it around and I have to go over it multiple times before it picks it all up. Honestly it sucks and not in a good way. I’m glad that i didn’t pay full price for it. I would not recommend this product to anyone.ashley

Looks nice and cleans well. It even looks to be built well. Has a nice battery indicator too. Which leads me to this vacuums big downfall. The battery lasts maybe 30 minutes on the efficacy setting. and maybe 15 minutes on the high setting. When the battery is dead, it takes three hours to charge. If the vacuum came with two batteries, that would be great. Even 60 minutes of runtime and cleaning a large house is pushing it. I went looking online for a second battery and it looks like it will set us back $80 We paid $148 for the vacuum, so realistically we are looking at a $230 vacuum. Better off buying two of these vacuums and utilizing the two batteries and you would have a spare filters and parts. I can't recommend this vacuum. I am assuming all these battery operated vacuums are about the same battery life. So I think it would be fair to subtract a star for battery life, subtract another star for charge time and one more star for price or replacement battery. Shame on you Tineco!Hoganator

I bought this vacuum when it was on sale for Black Friday. We have four pets who all shed a lot so I knew we’d be putting this vacuum to the test. It works great on our hardwood floors and tile, and I love the light feature on it. The auto-trigger and light weight of the vacuum are pluses too. I have a few issues with it though. It works terrible on carpet and rugs. It barely runs over a super thin rug let alone a push area rug. I bought it over a crosswave thinking it was worth the investment because if we move into a house with all carpet it would work great. It does not. My other issue is the battery life. I knew when getting a cordless vacuum we wouldn’t get a long battery time especially with 4 pets, but I was still disappointed with the battery life. We only have a 1200 sqft house and we’re lucky to get through a single charge. It takes around 3 hours to charge so it’s not a quick waiting process if the battery does die. I’m sure it’d last a little longer if you don’t have pets or less than we do, but I’d be wary if you have a larger home or have pets/kids. It’s also not very easy to clean the inside and we usually have to pull out debris/hair it collected because it doesn’t all come out on its own. I definitely don’t think it’s worth the original price and I’m still having a hard time justifying spending $150 on a vacuum that doesn’t work on carpet.K

Purchased this vacuum as I appreciate the convenience of a cordless vac and only have my upper level and stairs that are carpeted. I am extremely happy with the performance. Both my Daughter and I have long hair and the self cleaning roller brush is amazing. Picks up everything from my hardwood floors in the first pass. Battery run time is optimal for what I need and hands down it outperforms my cordless Euphy stick vac. I also have a large dog with short hair and it did a fantastic job picking up hair that I couldn’t even see on the floor. Price point was great (bought on sale and Best Buy had the lowest price). Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a great cordless stick vacuum. Would be nice if this had a stand or bracket that I could pop it Into in my pantry, but not a huge deal.Jaemi

Purchased this earlier this year when we got our puppy, and what a life saver! Beat hauling a bigger vacuum out and being limited by electrical outlets, especially with a busy puppy around the house. I saw the reviews about losing suction, but you should be keeping the canister cleaned after each use anyway which is as simple as releasing the bottom into the trash. Any other suction loss is usually due to hair or lint building up in the vacuum head which takes 2 minutes to clear. Works great on floors and carpet, super light to do the stairs and bring up and down the stairs. Charge lasts me about 2-3 days use. No complaints other than it could be “prettier”? Lol. I live in an 800 square foot apartment with hardwood floors and one longhair cat, and I found this vacuum unable to cut it. It comes with a rolling cleaner, a brush attachment and a corner attachment. When packed up to charge, there’s no place to put the brush or corner attachment. The rolling cleaner has two small felt wheels that allow it to roll. On first use, both of the wheels became full of cat hair and locked up. I tried to clean them, but it wasn’t immediately apparent how to do it. Eventually I was able to pry them out, with some slight cosmetic damage to the wheels. I’m used to using a roomba, and don’t mind some light maintenance work to keep a vacuum running well. What’s not acceptable is the difficulty of removing and cleaning those wheels, and that they fully locked up so quickly.Dan
