I LOVE DYSON. It’s been a love affair for @15 or so years. I had the V-6 and made an excuse that college child needed so I could get the V-11animal. No one in my house were allowed to use. It WAS my baby – empty nester at the time. I bought it shortly after it first came out so it has the screwed in battery. I needed a cordless vacuum that was able to pick up Belgian Malinois Shepard fur from H _ _ _, easy to use, lighter than a full vacuum BUT WORK AS WELL OR BETTER than a full-size – I have chronic back pain and fibromyalgia and numbness… Yes in my crazy perfect vacuum dream world this existed and it DID! Thanks Dyson! It checked EVERY box of my needs, well except price. It was the most I have ever spent on something for me but dang it I deserved it and NEEDED it. It has been absolutely incredible! I would have told you 2 years ago do whatever you need to and buy bc it has incredible suction, awesome holders for tools with wall mount and on pole, adjustable suction on torque floor tool, adjust able power – Eco for low dirt area, Auto and Boost for deeper and stronger suction. So those are PROS. CONS are you need to press trigger to power it so with my neuropathy in hands at times I cannot vac, need to remove any attachments to empty dirt bin, after @8-12 months the bin empty slide started to stick, and then at 2 years (WARRANTY EXPIRED) and @5 months it started to shut off and then turn on. Called customer support and and they did a video troubleshoot and said it’s the battery. Well no battery in stock. Actually ABSOLUTELY ZERO SPARE PARTS for my baby have been in stock for over a month now! A week or so later it stopped more and then shut down. Called again and told it was the cyclone part (a guy on YouTube had same exact issue but his warranty was still active) BUT NO PART available. He told me to call or go to my nearest Dyson service center. Well the nearest in @1.25hrs. away. I do not have a car – getting divorced so I took my Dyson V11 animal and he got our 25 y/o car worth about the same. He fought for my V11 which was honestly a no win – I don’t know what he was thinking. Lol Plus the service center when I finally reached a person said that maybe it’s the trigger and I could mail it in. I still haven’t decided bc why pay to ship something that there’s no parts for? I rarely ever leave reviews but this thing is great! This is my first Dyson purchase and I have a German Shepard mix who sheds constantly, this V11 handles his hair with ease. I love the flexibility to use it anywhere with the attachments that are included, my personal favorite is the mini motorized tool. The simple design makes it easy to clean and maintenance. This thing picks up dirt that you don’t even see, especially in carpets and area rugs. I am also one who cares about packaging and this thing is packaged perfectly. The only downside, like all electronics is the battery life. 5 to 6 minutes on boost mode is not enough for a vacuum of this cost. I would like to see Dyson sell an additional king power cord that can be used to power the vacuum directly more like a traditional vacuum if needed for those of us with bigger houses with lots of carpeted areas.Jxustin
After reading these reviews I can't help but think that these machines are designed to last for roughly 2.5 years. My machine did the exact same thing that others have written about. I purchased this machine back in January 2020, about a month ago it started cutting off during use. The cutting off started getting more frequently to the point where the machine stays on for about 2 seconds before cutting off which makes it inoperable. So I call the service center to be told that my machine is out of warranty as of January 2022 and a replacement motor will cost $116. It is really unfortunate that a $700 machine is designed to last 2.5 years before you have to put more money into it. The sad part about it is that most people will pay the $116 because you can not get a new decent vac for that price and secondly, you have already invested $700 in this machine. It is very disheartening, and I wish I would have went with a different brand.Trise

I’ve never in my life owned a Dyson but I finally decided to splurge and I’m glad I did! Here are my first impressions after getting up at the crack of dawn excited to test it out haha! It’s much quieter than I thought which is appreciated for those early morning cleanups after my toddler makes a mess but my older daughter is still sleeping. That laser is amazing but terrible at the same time…holy lord the stuff it was bringing to my attention was wild. I love the attachments and the one that lets you make it a 90 angle to go right under couches and furniture…chefs kiss. The floor dok is also a really nice feature as I don’t really have somewhere to mount it to the wall. It’s definitely heavier than I anticipated it to be. I do find I’m switching arms a lot so for someone who may be older or limited mobility it may be a bit cumbersome. I don’t hate that you have to press the button constantly to keep it on as it’s easier when you need to stop and go, but I do find it a bit awkward and my hand is a touch sore. I had it fully charged and used it for just over an hour and it’s now dead; I accomplished two floors, two sets of stairs and a couch set in that time. I only have hard floors besides two area rugs which are ruggables, and with the laser brush it has to be on eco otherwise it pulls them up. The other head it comes with does not work at all over ruggables. I don’t have any other ‘carpet’ so I cannot speak to its abilities with that. There are so many attachments this model comes with but there’s no where to store them – I would like to see some extra attachments for the floor dok to store them all. All in all though, highly satisfied with my purchase. I feel as though this is a prime example of “pay for what you get”. It’s a hefty price tag but I suspect this will last me years!Lindz02
This vacuum has the best suction and with 2 golden retrievers I need it but here are the cons It’s heavy and you have to hold in the switch to keep it running guessing this is to preserve the battery. All of the weight of the vacuum as at your wrist and hand and while 4.5 lbs doesn’t seem like much as you are holding it and the on button it is very stressful to your arm wrist and hand. When moving from hardwood to shag (I have all hardwood and two 8×10 shag type area rugs) the beater bar stops and the machine quits working even when you stop and move it to the highest setting so it won’t vacuum my area rugsI can’t even hardly push it through the carpet. I can let it and set it down and pull it. . It will do low pile rugs. Then it won’t stand up on its own you have to lean it on something or never stop vacuuming. I can get through most of my house 1400 square foot with the light before it dies or moves to eco. The head does not easily release to use just the end to get into tight spaces or replace with another attachment. The cord for the battery is actually quite short if you’re hoping to plug it in a closet or hide away place. Sleek as it may seem I don’t want a vacuum hanging up as decor so I’m going to have to add a plug somewhere out of sight. The pros are the light and suction provided you can really get every hair and see all dust if your room is not to bright the light really shows everything I turn down the lights to vacuum crazy I will definitely not buy another and totally regret this purchase for the price it really should come with two batteries and be able to vacuum carpet. I waited almost a year for the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute (also known by other names in UK/AUS markets) to come back into stock. By the time Dyson Rewards came back for 2022 it was well worth the free Dok and extra tools. Dubbed Dyson’s most powerful cordless Vacuum (for now until/if Gen5 arrives on North American shores), the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute is no slouch at peak 230AW. However running on these settings, are also it’s biggest flaw. At full boost, the battery will run down in sub 10 minutes, although clever marketing might make it seem like you’d get a full 60 minutes if you don’t read carefully. The auto settings are a good happy medium, with the Dyson able to detect if it needs to allocate a quick boost to suck up more stubborn/larger particles, however for legacy Dyson users (used to the superior and non time limited 306 AW) or people who like the power of a commercial vacuum, it can leave you a little wanting. To test whether or not the boost vs auto made much of a difference, I tested with the lights off, and vacuumed a standard hardwood floor. Dyson adverts typically show the user walking in a straight line seamlessly sucking up the path ahead, so this was the approach taken to ensure accurate repro. On auto, at first look, the Dyson missed some areas on first pass, as well as struggled with elevated parts of the flooring. Boost picked up particles no problem, but at the expense of the battery life. The laser sees *everything* missed, but also might make you even more of a clean freak. For spot checking (on plush animals, furniture and cushions), boost worked well and I could complete most tasks within the 10 minute time constraints. 4.5 hours seems like a long time to wait before being able to use the device again however especially with quick charge technology available in 2022. Pros: • Best Cordless Dyson in North America today. • Laser is amazing. • LED is great for toggling between settings and validating the work that has been done. • Boost is nothing to scoff at. Cons: • Very short battery life on boost. • Tool clip and nozzle shipped in *free additional tools* non-compatible. • As with most Dyson products, the fact they are made from silicon/plastic works as a magnet to attract dust and I find dust on the exterior of the housing on most days. One last piece, not exclusively related to the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute, but related to the items received in the bundle, the tool (specifically the noozle), did not fit flush in the tool clip which allows you to connect 2x tools to either the dock or the wand. I tried alternating all tools, angles, tightness of the clip, and still could not get the nozzle to fit without protruding (show in image), so came to the conclusion this is was missed in their considerations design. There is another nozzle (and light nozzle) which should fit onto the tool clip, but this did not ship in the tool bundle, and, would cost additional to buy. Either the tool clip needs to be redesigned to compensate for the added rim around the nozzle shipped or, this should be remedied through replacement program. • Not too heavy (can also be held with both hands for added weight distribution).

After a short time of use, I was left slightly unimpressed by this vacuum. I own a similar vacuum by a different manufacturer and there are many features it has, that I wish this Samsung Jet vacuum had, such as a telescoping wand, a spare battery, a stand-alone charging stand, and a bottom emptying dust canister. What I loved the most about this vacuum was how extremely lightweight it is, the suction power, and the low profile vacuum head. I was very disappointed with the battery life of this vacuum, and I also found the pet hair tool (mini motorized tool) to be a mostly useless, battery draining tool. The low profile vacuum head and its powerful suction makes for an excellent vacuum on non-carpeted floors and it picks up pet hair really well. Unfortunately, the tiny wheels on the vacuum head made it difficult to vacuum carpet, which is disappointing for my household since it's a mixture of hardwood and carpet. (It just didn’t glide smoothly across carpet, especially at the higher suction settings.) Additionally, while the low profile vacuum head allows for vacuuming of tight spaces, it really limits the debris size that can be vacuumed up. There are three power levels to vacuum at, low, mid, and max. The mid level does ok but I definitely preferred running the vacuum on the max setting. Unfortunately running at the max significantly reduced the runtime of the vacuum to about 7 minutes, and with only one battery included, this means you're out of luck until it recharges. I did like using the vacuum to reach high spots around the house that tend to collect dust and cobwebs. The light weight of the vacuum and the extension crevice tool made it easy to get to those hard to reach areas without having to pull out a step stool. This is where the lightness of the vacuum really shined, as I was able to go around the entire house vacuuming corners and vents without my arm ever getting tired from holding the vacuum up in the air. Overall, after several days of use, I feel that the performance of this vacuum is just ok / average, especially compared to others on the market. There is definitely room for improvement. The Samsung Jet 60 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is really lightweight and easy to use with only one hand. It comes with lots of accessories making it very versatile. All of the attachments have a button-click system making it very easy to attach or unattach the different accessories on the fly, so there’s no delay in your cleaning. The vacuum has adjustable suction power and decent suction even on lowest setting, but has even more power when you need it. This vacuum is absolutely great for cleaning those hard to reach places both high and low such as corners, under furniture, air vents, ceiling fans, and window blinds. The Jet 60 is convenient for vacuuming your car. For me, the greatest application for the Jet 60 is vacuuming the stairs. Not having to drag a full sized vacuum up and down the stairs is very nice. The product package states that the battery lasts up to 40 minutes. But when I use it on lowest power setting, I get about 24 minutes before the battery gives out. On full suction power, I only get around 6 minutes of charge. The battery charges quite slowly. After a small job of just a few minutes it takes around half an hour to recharge fully and after a job that depletes the battery completely it takes several hours to recharge fully. This means that it’s really not useful for a whole house cleaning, for that you probably need a corded vacuum. But if you had a small apartment or dorm room it might work fine. Otherwise, it’s mainly useful for spot cleaning and small cleanup jobs like vacuuming the stairs or your car. The dust collection bin is a reasonable size given the battery life, you are likely to run down the battery before the bin is full. The bin consists of 3 parts, one of which is a HEPA filter, and is easy to detach, empty, and clean by rinsing with water. There is a jet of air that comes out of both sides of the vacuum. I mention it because I have experienced these jets blowing dust up into the air while cleaning in especially dusty areas or when vacuuming near loose papers, like on a desk, the papers can get blown around. Overall, the Samsun Jet 60 works quite well, but my biggest complaint is the lack of battery life. Samsung really knocked it out of the park with this little guy. Between my wife and I, we actually enjoy vacuuming. We've even had competitions to see who can clean the most before the battery runs down! It's substantially more than I expected for the size of the battery, you can get a few rooms lightly soiled carpeted rooms in! Not just using it at the lowest speed either! (I'm not sure where Samsung gets the "up to 40mins" number, but I think you'd have to be not using any powered attachments, and at the lowest setting to get close to that, caveat aside, it lasts enough for a quick clean on an average house floor or more!) I also was not expecting it would actually pick up much more than an older hand vacuum that happens to have a long wand/sweeper attachment. It actually functions as a "main" vacuum if you're a frequent cleaner, as it handles deeper messes in a carpet that I was not expecting it to even come close to pulling up all the way. (dog and people hair plus some tracked in dirt/sand that was stepped in, took a few passes, but still managed) It's also not excessively loud, my infant daughter is most intrigued by it and watches us intently, whereas she was frightened/we had to put some hearing protecting on her if we wanted to use our "big" corded vacuum. The ONLY downside I have to this vacuum is the charging/mounting unit, which is why I gave it 4/5 instead of 5/5. Some folks do not want to mount a vacuum and just want it hidden in a closet until use, with a battery charger in the corner maybe out of the way. Having purchased two Dyson handhelds in the past, I thought I would give Hoover a try this time around (as I do own a pull around canister Hoover that I've had since 2007 and its been awesome) . Unfortunately, I am left disappointed. If you want a vacuum that won't suck up the smallest of crumbs but rather push them around and shoot them out in every direction causing you more work, clogs up with little to no dust particles constantly, and then get zero help or back up from their customer support, then this is the vacuum for you! Because the vacuum couldn't be returned to store once it was used, I contacted the company directly. They proceeded to copy and paste their "de-clogging" instructions, and then ignored the rest of my emails. I am capable of reading a manual and this didn't help me what-so-ever. I cannot believe they actually advertise this as a PET model, because I am using it for much less dirty jobs than pet hair and/or litter, etc. and it's essentially useless. The only good thing I have found about it is the dual batteries and the battery life. However, that isn't very helpful alone when the vacuum doesn't do its job properly. Unfortunately due to the lack of support from Hoover itself, I will not be purchasing any more of their products or recommending to anyone else.kmitschke
I am quite impressed with my new vacuum. Every detail of it seems well thought out which means a lot in this day and age. It really seems to be built to last a long time. All the electronic parts are protected. I really appreciate the brushless "digital" motor. Every little detail is engineered like the battery and charger LED animations syncing together. It came with a silent 4-amp fast charger that charges fully in one hour. This is even including that it waits to charge the battery until it is the optimal temp so it doesn't degrade faster. Each battery and the whole vacuum have a three year limited warranty. The batteries have built-in smart BMS's that communicate with the vacuum and charger to make sure the cells are within their optimal ranges. I noticed the wheels are multi-piece with rubber tread unlike other vacuums I've seen. The whole vacuum is quite simple and intuitive. The phone customer service was some of the best I've ever had. The packaging was recyclable, even the plastic bags. The regular mode seems to clean better than our old corded Shark vacuum and the boost mode is crazy and like suctions it to the carpet. It gets a whopping 9 minutes of run time on boost mode though. The brushroll head is like 3/4 the width of the Shark's so you have to do more lines. The brushroll motor stopped many times to cool down today while I was vacuuming our nasty apartment's carpet. I needed to swap batteries a few times. I charged the other battery while I was using the other. I got the second battery for free as a promotion and it's very needed. Being a cordless stick vacuum is really quite nice but while it can go all the way under couches the weight is located where your hand is which makes it feel a lot heavier than it is. The hours of online research I did was definitely worth it. It would've been a five-star review but Hoover/FedEx's communication on the payment and shipping was very non-existent. Did lots of research on many different brands/types of battery powered handheld vacuums for auto and coffee cart cleaning. I roast my own coffee, addicted to espresso daily and those things can be a bit messy at times. This vacuum makes very short/efficient work of cleaning everything I put it through. I could tell just by unboxing it that the build quality is outstanding just based on the feel of the materials used, let alone actually charging/using it. The system is very well thought out with every possible attachment needed for all sorts of mild/moderate cleaning jobs. Very compact to get into the most confined areas too. The filtration system is as efficient as advertised as it never loses suction and the actual filter stays spotless due to the design. Super easy to empty the filter container with no mess/inconvenience. Have seen a few complaints in reviews regarding the battery capacity and yes it does fade when being pushed on MAX cleaning, but it does a great/quick job nonetheless. People should understand you simply can't have MAX performance/capacity simultaneously… Both battery packs give good runtime for the use I put it through and charge in a reasonable amount of time and don't experience any sort of low self-discharge when sitting on a shelf unused for any realistic period of time. Nice to have the option to buy more packs as these age as we have had to toss other brands when the battery fades due to it NOT being user serviceable and just dies. Last point I will make is the awesome design of the powered brush roller as it works very well at various angles and being able to remove the brush roller for easy cleaning is ingenious. I bought this primarily for hardwoods, two (low-medium pile rugs) and light vacuuming in my car. Terrible on each surface!! it MIGHT pick up a few random hairs of small things off the hardwoods but, thats a maybe, at best. I even spilled dry rice down to test it and, nada! This vacuum is perfect as a toddlers first vacuum to play with because the suction is not strong at all. The attachment tools make it even worse. Would not recommend
I needed a vacuum to pick up cat litter from the litter mat as well as the hardwood floor of the room where the litter boxes are located. A regular vacuum was too heavy for me to use comfortably. We have a very good Dyson portable stick vacuum but the litter granules don't stay in the canister and fall out when I am finished. I purchased this Bissell due to the reviews. This is fantastic! As others have said, it almost looks like a child's toy. It is all plastic and extremely light weight. However, it picks up litter like a champ and holds it in the canister until it is emptied. I do have to change or clean the filter about once a week due to the build up of cat hair. This is quite easy to do. I would advise getting only Bissell filters as I have found that generic ones are not a perfect fit and Bissell filters are no more expensive than generic ones. I also advise having extra filters on hand. I ordered 4 from Bissell many, many months ago and they have all held up well. To clean them, I vacuum out the cat hair with another vacuum and then squirt a little Dawn dish detergent on the filter, hold it under running water while I gently rub all sides of the outside of the filter with my fingers. Rinse well and then let air dry. To me, the cleaned ones are just as good as a new filter. They are very durable. There is also a sponge filter at the end of the vacuum part that I did not notice for a while. I would recommend getting one or two for spares. I just gently shake it out when dirty. It is pretty small. I have given up taking off the main attachment and using the nozzle because I can't get the main attachment off. I don't care. I really do not need the nozzle. I cannot say enough about how great this is for my needs. It works great for hard floors. It will do a fine job of picking up litter that rests on or near the top surface of a carpet. It would not be great for deeper cleaning of a carpet.
I was a bit worried with so many negative reviews, but I love this vacuum. It is so light and easy to carry around. It picks up everything as long as you frequently empty the filter. I also take a can of compressed air to blow the filter clean from the inside out. It is well made, and all the parts fit well. I like the floor cleaner for picking up pet hair because it has no rollers where the hair gets tangled. The blue color is beautiful, and the unit leans against the wall without falling over. The cord could be a bit longer, but I have a lot of outlets, so no problem. I am very happy with the purchase. The price was very reasonable.Nancy

I bought this particular vacuum because I had used one at a friends's. I ordered mine on June 23rd and received it the next day! I was so excited! Three days later my friend called and said not to get the vacuum because her battery stopped charging and she had only had it for 4 months! Well, I kept mine thinking hers was a fluke but nope! After 4 1/2 months, my battery has stopped charging! I have tried to call the 1-800 number but it keeps saying "due to weather" they are closed and to call back. I've had many vacuums over the years and this is the worst. I extensively research items before I buy them to be sure they have the features I'm looking for, which is why I chose this product. If I could send it beck, I would. The dust cup disconnects from the handle regularly and already I've lost suction. It completely disconnects and falls apart with very little handling. It doesn't "prop up" on anything in my house like it says it should. Eureka is a good brand and I've had other stick vacs but this is awful.Jo
When I unpackaged my Eureka Rapid Clean pro, my first thought that it was too light weight and didnt look like it could handle much nor would the battery big long enough to make it around my house. I will say that I own a Kirby, Dyson, and no this Eureka so I have quite a bit to compare it to. Style wise it was similar to my Dyson V6 but not nearly as heavy. Super easy to assemble- I didnt even bother reading the instructions. I charged it up and took it around the house. Lucky for this review we are renovating our home so there is plenty of dust from hanging, texturing, and sanding drywall, 60 year old insulation fluff in and on everything and every corner and much more. I've been using my Dyson primarily before I received this just because its easier to grab- the Eureka Rapid Pro is MUCH lighter and just as easy to cart around. I LOVE that the head of the vacuum seems to sit really low to the ground where my other stick vacuum is a little higher and tends to grab things that are "too big" for it to handle and thus just shoot it out of the back- this Eureka is low enough that it doesnt really grab what it can't handle. I also love the extra wheels on the head allowing for REALLY nice range of motion.. and the LIGHT! Never thought a light on the head of a cordless vacuum would come in so handy but its life changing! I could SEE where the dust was under the bed and go where I needed and be done rather than just aimlessly moving it around and hoping I got what I needed to. Lastly- the battery life was wayyyy longer than my Dyson. I even used it- LET IT UNPLUGGED for a few days, used it again and left it unplugged again and used- that to me is amazing for a small stick vacuum. I received this vacuum for Christmas, and have been using it daily for about three months now. I really wanted to love this vacuum, but I don't. The main issue I have is with the self-cleaning brushroll: Sure it doesn't tangle, but that would require it to actually pick up fur in the first place. This vacuum adamantly refuses to pick up any fur that isn't just sitting loose on the surface of the rug…which is deeply unhelpful. The roll just wipes fur along, without doing anything to agitate the carpet. I have used the entire battery life of this vacuum on my single living room area rug, just to still need to use my rubber broom. For a vacuum that costs >$300, this is extremely disappointing, and considering the vacuum is called the "pet pro," I truly don't understand why this vacuum simply cannot handle fur in any regard. My second problem with this vacuum is that it leaks dust from every single joint and seam the entire time I'm using it. Who wants to be covered in dust from vacuuming? Not I. Additionally, the wand itself clogs constantly in a way that's very difficult to clean out. In fact, most of this vacuum is difficult to clean, outside of changing the filters. I have two cats and a lab mix who sheds like it's his mission on earth, and frankly, this vacuum just does not cut it.LindseyJoy
I've never made a purchase that I've been more disappointed in. The vacuum worked fine the first couple of times now every time is vacuum my house I have to unclog the machine from the many many many potential clog spots. I never once had this problem with our previous dyson vacuum. I have a golden retriever, so yes, having to maybe unload the vacuum is to be expected however for a product that supposedly specializes in pets, it does a TERRIBLE job. I've had to take apart the base of the bottom when that gets clogged, the shaft of the vacuum comes apart and now hair seems to get clogged making the base of the vacuum essentially worthless. I am so so so bummed and wish I would have returned this while I had the chance. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY PICKS UP DOG HAIR.Megan
I absolutely love that it is cordless. I loved the black friday price… i think it was $159 or $179 something like that . WAY under the price for a dyson. I absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat all whom shed ALOT. I use this vacuum daily, several times a day and have not had any issue with the battery. Keep in mind i mentioned having a little zoo of animals, so the first month i had to take the machine apart to be able to remove clogged hair on the long stick. The instructions dont really tell you how to clean it. There is more than just emptying the basket. To avoid it getting clogged, i now try to blow out all the hair in the tubes Atleast once a week. Only negative i would mention is I wish it was a bit stronger and wish it gave an option on height. For example if there is a leaf on the floor it will not suck it in becase the vacuum in not high off the ground to pick it up. I believe the dyson is a tad stronger but its not worth paying $400, when i can just use this one for under $200. I do not regret purchasing this at all. I've been using this vacuum for a few weeks and I don't have a single complaint yet. I really love how it was designed. It is very sturdy, yet light enough to easily maneuver around the house and over any type of floor surface. The vacuum head swivels effortlessly and intuitively. I especially love the headlight feature which really helps with picking up things in small crevices and under furniture. I have a large long-haired dog and this vacuum picks up the hair without any issues! The battery is very compact; the charger takes up no more space than my single-serve coffee maker as shown in the photo. Charging only takes a few hours and delivers ample runtime for me to vacuum all three floors of my house. The dust/waste bin is easy to empty and clean. Had this vacuum for roughly 18 to 24 months, has worked pretty flawlessly up until I dealt with the dreaded brush head issue I read others similarly having, after a search of google and Craftsman and finding zero real solutions, I DID NOT spend $200 on a "throw away and buy new" appliance, that simply isn't the United States I grew up in. Anyway, after a week of the head turning on only to shut down after 2 or 3 seconds, I started my disassembly quest by removing the head assembly and looking at the bottom, where I found a red tab with arrows pointing up. I then held said tab with one finger while prying the brush head out with a flat head screwdriver. I clean the brush head. We then see a red gear at the end with a tiny screw holding it, take your tiny phillips head scredriver and remove screw. Gear will be reluctant but wiggle it on out with small pliers or maybe flat screwdriver. THAT was where my problem lied as 18 months of tiny carpet fibers had gotten in there to cause enough friction to stop brush head. Remove the foreign matter and (optionally) apply just a drop of 3 in 1 onto the metal surface. Reverse to reassemble and you may have just saved some aggravation dealing with a silly warranty process or quite possibly some money. SBD Craftsman should be paying me for all the ambassador work I do for them as a DIY nobody, I tell ya hwut. Only problem I'm presently having is the weak "standing" mechanism when the vac isn't being used, it can stand on its own for an hour or so before it wants to lean either way and inevitably falls to the side. It is closet kept where I lean it up against the wall so it's not as big of a deal to me. But can be aggravating between breaks. Would definitely reccomend!! Just don't buy from Lowe's, shopping Amazon or Ace comes with ALOT more dignity in supporting an actual hardware store, Thank you.Kazi9
I've been using this stick vac every day for over a week and that's about 6 times more than I used my traditional corded vacuum. The convenience of not being limited by the length of a cord and wall outlet availability makes it a game changer for me. The motor is strong and cleans as well as my 110v corded vac, but with less noise. The ability to disable the brush makes cleaning tile/wood floors a completely different experience. The 3 power settings are perfectly located to cycle between with your thumb so that you don't suck up a floor mat when transitioning from wood/tile to rug/mat. The ability to detach the motor from the stick and use the brush head in a stubby fashion makes cleaning carpeted stairs unbelievably easier than my traditional stick vac. I have used the shorty to clean the couches and used the adapters to clean under the cushions. With the stick attached to the broom head I can reach under furniture much farther than my old stick vacuum, the LED lights also help find all your kids toys that were lost before sucking them up. The vacuum is very low profile and almost lays down flat so you don't have to move furniture around to clean. Very nice and time saving! The broom head pans from side to side while using the vacuum and I found this to be annoying when trying to go fast. I discovered a way to lock the head and am able to maneuver the vacuum more aggressively without the head flopping around. Craftsman should address that in future revisions of the vacuum, I could see someone making a kit as an "upgrade" and selling those… The wheels on the broom head are nice, but I've found them to be a little lacking when it comes to maneuverability. If the wheels were replaced with ball casters then you would have infinite movement in your X and Y axis and could slide the vacuum in any direction to reach around obstructions. I hope this is something that Craftsman would consider for future releases. The battery life is short lived with the included 2 Ah battery, but enough for me to complete about 1,500 sqf. With an additional battery or (4 Ah) you can accomplish more work. I found myself trying to race the battery to get the cleaning done, which opened my eyes to the swiveling head and rigid wheels. Cleaning is easy. Pull the container, push a button (over a garbage can) and empty the contents. The twisty knob agitator cleans fine particles from the filter (much better than banging it on the garbage can or your other hand). I wish there was a vacuum float gauge you could monitor to quickly determine the health of your filter. I've seen welding helmets with clear tubes filled with small plastic balls and graduations on the tube that let you see air flow. This would make replacing the filter more accurate than just throwing it away and buying a new one every 6 months. I really enjoy using this vacuum and find myself looking for reasons to use it. This is our 4th Electrolux hard surface vacuum, two 12 volt and an 18 volt. We absolutely love this vacuum and were very upset when we couldn't find it anywhere on line. A couple of years ago we bought a Dyson 10 because we couldn't find an 18 volt Electrolux. It is not in any way comparable or even as convenient as the Electrolux. We love the swivel head, the easy recharging stand and removable hand vac, so much easier and simpler than the Dyson. When we tried to buy an Electrolux, we were told it was no longer sold in the USA, but then we found it through Amazon. It cost double the amount of our last 18 volt Electrolux, but we were thrilled to get this vacuum. Please let us know if you come back to the USA, we will definitely buy another one!!!JoeMar
I jumped at buying another ergorapido, the minute I saw they were making them again, and I was pleasantly surprised! It’s well balanced and easy to maneuver. Most of all, it’s suction was far more than I expected, and far superior to the previous models I’ve had. And you can do mats by turning it down to low speed, without worrying about sucking up the end of the mat. Emptying the dust bin was a lot simpler than previous models, too. Oh, and Hair! Hair that winds around the roller cleans off easily with the tap of your foot on the snipper tool. The only thing lacking are the instructions— simply illustrations. This is our third Ergorapido. We purchased our first one over ten years ago because I kept tripping on the cord to my corded vacuum. We were so impressed with it that we put away our other vacuums and never use them. It has strong suction, long lasting battery, lighted so you can see under furniture, easy to maneuver, takes up very title space when recharging, has a small hand held version attached to it and it is cordless. We purchased our second one for upstairs. This is a pretty standard cordless vacuum and we bought to replace a handheld Dyson whose battery went to junk. I do like the hanging stand that holds all of the attachments. When it comes to the vacuum though I do not understand why they give you variable speed options. I think this is a marketing gimmick so they can brag about higher runtimes (at low-power) and additional features. We always use high speed for everything, which is about the same power as the 10 yr old Dyson it replaced. With the 4ah battery included, we get about 15 min run time. The main reason we got this model is because I already own about 5 24volt batteries and a large portion of the 24 volt power tool line from Greenworks so we always have full batteries and swapping is easy. If I were buying a cordless vacuum, I would buy one that I already have batteries for as you will need several batteries to do any cleaning with it. I would add that Greenworks has always stood by their products whenever I had any issues in the past.
Really like all the attachments, helps get the job done. Needed a soft brush that was safe for my hardwood floors Greenworks covered that. Love the LED lights make it easier to see the missed spots. Super happy with performance & ease of operation, no cord to drag around. I have carpet and a dog, and the suction is great! Battery life is impeccable I can do the whole house on a single charge or more. I also like how dumping the waste bin scrapes along the filter so you can truly get it all emptied out. I cannot recommend this enough! Added bonus, the 24V lithium-ion battery (also included) can be used as a power bank for charging compatible devices such as phones and tablets. The promise is great, but the delivery of that promise is marginal. I have now purchased multiple Greenworks tools – trimmer, blower, lawn mower, drill and driver – and based on that experience, expected greatness from this cordless stick vacuum. I did not get greatness, just a shade above mediocrity. The battery life is much less than desired. I bought it in the hopes of a 45 minute use per charge, as advertised, but getting anywhere near that means you must run it on its minimal power. More important, though, the service at Greenworks absolutely STINKS! I have tried 5 times to call them (they don't provide an email option) and have been on hold 45+ minutes each time, and finally gave up. If most of the products weren't so good on their own, I suspect this company would have long ago gone out of business. In summary – try their tools if you want to go it alone. Cons: We have just purchased this v8 to replace a v6 animalBoth vacs connections seem not to join rigidly with a bit of play which will eventually put extra stress & would benefit from some kind of rubber grommet between the connecting long poll to tighten both the head & main casing. Also the replacement batteries seem expensive. The charger wire insulation is too stiff & made of some kind of vinyl/inflexible plastic which seems inflexible & eventually splits & uncovers the very thin wires next to the 3 prong plug body, which can then pull away.We have had 5 batteries with the older model & note this new one is the same. They all become split eventually. Needs to be a rubberised material instead.Ian
I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren
The Good: The vacuum unit itself is exceptional, with excellent suction, ease of maintenance, run time, and insofar longevity; it competes well with your average full-sized canister vacuums, which is truly impressive given the size of the Dyson. The hype, on this front, is valid. The Bad: However, the well-built central unit is let down by tools and accessories with components made from fragile, heat-molded plastic. Essentially, only the mechanical drive components are made from metal (I think), but everything else is plastic. While Dyson boasts that the main machine body is made from "ABS Polycarbonate" (think: riot shields), the smaller components seem to be made of high-density polyethylene or similar material. Our smaller motorized head unit suffered a breakage in the head-to-guard joint, which should not be the case for a relatively new, seldom used part. The use of brittle plastic in such a high-wear area by the spinning rotor seems at best poor design, at worst planned obsolescence. I understand that full-metal construction is a thing of the past, but "full-plastic" construction is not a viable alternative; some components need to be metal, full stop. The Ugly: Unfortunately, warranty details are misleading as they apparently do not include the tools, and nowhere in the warranty documentation provided was there a distinction between "tools" and the "unit." While I understand that normal wear-and-tear is to be expected and therefore not covered by warranty, I am disappointed with the craftsmanship of a really expensive product that utilizes non-durable heat-molded plastic for high-stress areas, specifically around moving joints. The concern is that having both motorized head units break renders the unit unable to clean carpet or furniture fabric, reducing 90% of its utility, and will cost you ~$200 extra to purchase the new motorized heads. In closing; a great unit overall, but my confidence in the product is let down by the fragility of the core tools and some of the convenient language of the warranty provided. I've been using this product for a little over a month. My first initial reaction was that this product is just okay. A few weeks later my feelings haven't changed. First thing I noticed was that the battery life isn't great. On regular mode I can get the entire house (minus one carpeted room that's about 120 sqft or so) vacuumed and still have a some battery life left. Our house is about 1500 sqft. What I really dislike is that on the max suction mode the battery lasts about seven to 10 minutes on a full charge. I understand that it is high battery usage but on heavy cleaning and dusting days this is frustrating. After a regular vacuuming session I have to wait another five hours for this thing to fully charge just to use it another few minutes in order to get dusting done which is extremely inconvenient. If Dyson would have made it with the option to work while on the charger / still plugged in it would have made ALL of the difference. I haven't used it on the one room in our house that is carpeted and I honestly don't know if that is even possible with any of the connections. It didn't come with a user manual like all other products electronic products that I have purchased. It did have a sheet that gave you a link to an online user manual but I am more of a paper in my face type of person. I have having to click through links to find what I need. It does come with quite a few connectible pieces. I don't really know what the difference between a few of them are or what they're even called but I haven't had any issues using them so no complaints with those. The item itself is extremely convenient and easy to use. I REALLY wish that it came with maybe a retractable chord to plug in when the batter life isnt sufficient. I have been a Dyson owner since early 2005 (I still have that one and it still works). I was using the Dyson V7 Animal until my wife purchased this upgraded one for me. Right away, I could feel and see the difference! With 2 children, a large dog (that never stops shedding), and my wife and I, keeping our house clean is nearly impossible. The Dyson V8 Animal Pro has been amazing and extremely helpful! I only have 3 general complaints about it, which stop me from giving it a 5 Star Review. First, the container becomes full very quickly and having to empty it so often is a little annoying (I know the newer models have addressed that). Second, the stick portion is a little short for taller people like me and I don’t think that adding a second stick would function well not be practical; this causes me to have to lean over while vacuuming, which means my back starts aching. Third, a lack of accessories! There are more attachment tools for my V7 than my newer V8. More directly, there doesn’t seem to be a hard floor attachment option. I have checked their website, but there are no hard floor tools offered for this vacuum (Dyson V8 Animal Pro). I would be particularly interested in the tool that worked on both the carpet and hard floors. Other than that, I really do love this little vacuum.DaBear
This is the second Dyson I have owned. The previous one I purchased at a retailer that offered an extended warranty for purchase. The vacuum stopped working shortly after the Dyson two year warranty. The extended warranty company was great. We sent the vacuum to them and they determined they could not repair it and refunded the entire amount that we paid for the vacuum. The second one we purchased at Costco and they did not offer the extended warranty, but talked us into purchasing because they would take back if we had any problems. Well once again right after the two year Dyson warranty has expired, the vacuum is not working correctly again. Pretty sure Costco won't take back after two years, although I will also complain to them. They are a great vacuum, just a lot of expense for something that lasts only two years. I hope some of the other companies venturing into cordless stick vacuums become successful because I don't want to keep buying a vacuum that does not last.K Wood

The suction power is good and I like the accessories it comes with. I was really disappointed that this vacuum does not have an LED light! For over $200.00 you would assume it would. This Bissell PowerEdge Cordless Vacuum is amazingly very satisfying to use! It has never fail me every time I use it. It cleans up really good, has a great suction and it also gets the edges well. It's lightweight and super easy to maneuver. We have two dogs that sheds a lot and small kids so we have an endless clutter. The charger wire insulation is too stiff & made of some kind of vinyl/inflexible plastic which seems inflexible & eventually splits & uncovers the very thin wires next to the 3 prong plug body, which can then pull away.We have had 5 batteries with the older model & note this new one is the same. I got a V7 in Jan 2019. Initially, and for about 1.5 yrs., I thoroughly enjoyed it. Then my housecleaner told me a charge didn't last more than 10 mins. Because I have another plug-in vacuum, I didn't think much of it at the time. Then I hired another cleaner. She brought her own vacuum so it hasn't been used at all since Jan 2022. Just in the last week, I tried to use it and it only lasted about 30 seconds. I had a very good experience with the website and service person on the phone but I have been advised that a new battery is necessary. If that is correct, I must say that I am disappointed in Dyson. I expected better performance from their machine. For a machine that is 3 1/2 yrs. old and only used perhaps 2 years of that (and not solely because I have another machine), I think the battery should last longer. And, if the cost of the battery is 1/4 of the price of the machine, I think that is even more disappointing. And, it's the cost of the battery + shipping. My carpenter husband has battery powered tools, uses them consistently and has never had to replace a battery. That knowledge doesn't help me. Is it possible that the charging station is defective? At any rate, as much as I loved it in the beginning, I'm pretty unhappy at present. I recommended my vacuum to lots of friends at first but now, I would have to tell them the whole story and what to expect.Bren
The Good: The vacuum unit itself is exceptional, with excellent suction, ease of maintenance, run time, and insofar longevity; it competes well with your average full-sized canister vacuums, which is truly impressive given the size of the Dyson. The hype, on this front, is valid. The Bad: However, the well-built central unit is let down by tools and accessories with components made from fragile, heat-molded plastic. Essentially, only the mechanical drive components are made from metal (I think), but everything else is plastic. While Dyson boasts that the main machine body is made from "ABS Polycarbonate" (think: riot shields), the smaller components seem to be made of high-density polyethylene or similar material. Our smaller motorized head unit suffered a breakage in the head-to-guard joint, which should not be the case for a relatively new, seldom used part. The use of brittle plastic in such a high-wear area by the spinning rotor seems at best poor design, at worst planned obsolescence. I understand that full-metal construction is a thing of the past, but "full-plastic" construction is not a viable alternative; some components need to be metal, full stop. The Ugly: Unfortunately, warranty details are misleading as they apparently do not include the tools, and nowhere in the warranty documentation provided was there a distinction between "tools" and the "unit." While I understand that normal wear-and-tear is to be expected and therefore not covered by warranty, I am disappointed with the craftsmanship of a really expensive product that utilizes non-durable heat-molded plastic for high-stress areas, specifically around moving joints. The concern is that having both motorized head units break renders the unit unable to clean carpet or furniture fabric, reducing 90% of its utility, and will cost you ~$200 extra to purchase the new motorized heads. In closing; a great unit overall, but my confidence in the product is let down by the fragility of the core tools and some of the convenient language of the warranty provided. I have been through so many stick vacs for quick cleanups. They were all terrible in one way or another – or many different ways… This one beats them all in the following ways: -Easy and clean to empty dirt – two filter pieces stay together and come out and go in easy -Stands up reliably without tipping over if bumped -ACTUALLY CLEANS!!! -front roller comes out for easy cleaning of hair and other things that get wrapped around it ALSO has the following that my others have not: -removable hand dust buster – amazing for small spaces with no need to store an extra item -LED lights – never knew I needed them, but they sure are handy -folding handle – just kinda cool space saver -onboard attachments for the dustbuster I have been buying one stick vac after another (probably 10 in total) over the past 12 or so years and they were all terrible. Love the idea of the little vacuum. I just don’t understand why black and decker made it sooooo weak. I have to go over one area 2-3 times to pick up everything. I’m not expecting Dyson strength but also not something that makes noise but does not feel like it’s sucking up particles. It almost feels like a toy. B&D if you read reviews please fix this vacuum make it more powerful but with the same design. Every other cordless vacuum out there is top-heavy and it’s so uncomfortable. Your design is perfect. Also the charging plug in is annoying to plug in. It has to be in an exact rotation to be able to be plugged in. Sadly I will have to return it.Dasha

I purchased this to sweep the laminate floors in my apartment. It was fine the first few months, but the quality dropped off sharply before I had owned it for a year. The roller would randomly lose power, even after I cleaned it and the roller. When I needed to buy replacement parts I was shocked at how expensive they were compared to other vacuums I have owned in the past. The lack of accessories was also disheartening. It works well as a dust-buster style handheld but is terrible as a floor sweeper. I only use it on my stairs now. I will use it until it finally dies, but do not feel confident purchasing another Dirt Devil product.Steven
My condo overlooks the Gulf in southwest Florida. I thought I'd be smart and put in no-see-'em screens on my lanai. Well the screens work great for the bugs = none. But the finer pitch of the screen also acts as a silt collector for the air flow. Then when it rains and blows, my sand colored lanai tiles and GROUT have dark silt remaining when dry. Previous method was to get the electric sweeper, attach long wand and brush head (not a brush roll) and suck up the silt. It didn't do well on the grout lines. Alternative was to use the steamer more frequently = pain. I wanted to simplify the cleaning. I looked at a lot of stick vacs but the DD22510 was the only one that had a powered brush roll, and high suction, ANNNNNDDDD let me take the unit as a hand held vac down 5 floors to my car thus avoiding dragging my huge sweeper along. Got the unit yesterday and tried it out on the silt I left accumulate for testing. Tried it today 7/15/19 and it works just outstandingly well. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the support bracket is ill designed. When I put my powered carpet nozzle on and then attached the support bracket, and then moved the nozzle against the baseboard….the sticky tape surface on the back of the bracket is NOT parallel to the wall. I measured the angle and it's about 15 degrees off. Plus the well where the sweeper handle sets on the bracket is too shallow and the sweeper pops out too easily. Engineering needs to rethink. Otherwise I would readily recommend purchasing.Bally
I loved this vacuum. I used it all the time. It was perfect for my apartment. I used it to vacuum the vinyl flooring before mopping the floor. The problem is that the swivel on the sweeper head broke and there is no replacement parts. I was able to fix it using gorilla glue but that only lasted about 3 months. Now I have a dirt devil that is basically a handheld sweeper (aka dust buster type).Tonya H.

Purchased this vacuum as I appreciate the convenience of a cordless vac and only have my upper level and stairs that are carpeted. I am extremely happy with the performance. Both my Daughter and I have long hair and the self cleaning roller brush is amazing. Picks up everything from my hardwood floors in the first pass. Battery run time is optimal for what I need and hands down it outperforms my cordless Euphy stick vac. I also have a large dog with short hair and it did a fantastic job picking up hair that I couldn’t even see on the floor. Price point was great (bought on sale and Best Buy had the lowest price). Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a great cordless stick vacuum. Would be nice if this had a stand or bracket that I could pop it Into in my pantry, but not a huge deal.Jaemi
Purchased this earlier this year when we got our puppy, and what a life saver! Beat hauling a bigger vacuum out and being limited by electrical outlets, especially with a busy puppy around the house. I saw the reviews about losing suction, but you should be keeping the canister cleaned after each use anyway which is as simple as releasing the bottom into the trash. Any other suction loss is usually due to hair or lint building up in the vacuum head which takes 2 minutes to clear. Works great on floors and carpet, super light to do the stairs and bring up and down the stairs. Charge lasts me about 2-3 days use. No complaints other than it could be “prettier”? Lol. I live in an 800 square foot apartment with hardwood floors and one longhair cat, and I found this vacuum unable to cut it. It comes with a rolling cleaner, a brush attachment and a corner attachment. When packed up to charge, there’s no place to put the brush or corner attachment. The rolling cleaner has two small felt wheels that allow it to roll. On first use, both of the wheels became full of cat hair and locked up. I tried to clean them, but it wasn’t immediately apparent how to do it. Eventually I was able to pry them out, with some slight cosmetic damage to the wheels. I’m used to using a roomba, and don’t mind some light maintenance work to keep a vacuum running well. What’s not acceptable is the difficulty of removing and cleaning those wheels, and that they fully locked up so quickly.Dan

I know this vaccum's on the cheaper end of the spectrum so not too much should be expected, but it's still almost $100 and mine broke within 4 months. I don't even have carpet – I use it for dust mostly. I was right outside of the Target 3 month window, so I'm out of luck. I tried messaging customer service, but no dice. Tried messaging Dirt Devil but no luck there either. If you are going to get this vacuum, get the 2 year protection plan. Apparently it's common for this model to start shutting off shortly after you turn it on, fully charged with a clean filter and all. Ever since Dirt Devil came out with the edge-to-edge feature to clean near baseboard I have been hooked on their brand. I saw this cordless one in Target for other items and I had to have it and I have not been disappointed. I was not disappointed either since it loses no power by being cordless and has the same ease of emptying the dirt cup in just a few minutes and it came with a rinseable filter (which saves you from having to buy them so often). The dirt spins in the collection cup and has a beater bar as well plus you can remove the handle in seconds to use it as a hand vac. What I really love is that the charger itself is permanently attached to the device so you don't have to go hunting for it when it is time to recharge the battery. All you have to do is pull it out of the handle and plug it in and the cord is more than long enough. Just so you know we can vacuum all our carpented area on one charge and then some. We use it in the kitchen for picking up bits of this and that on our nice white ceramic tile as well which shows everything that lands on it! The price was fantastic and was under $100. Do yourself a favor and try one of these out, you will be glad you did!Susievere
Unfortunately, I somehow threw away the dirt cup when cleaning the brush bristles! I wasn't happy that you sell some parts, but not this one, making it necessary to buy an entire new vacuum instead of just a part! There are things that I like and dislike about this particular vacuum. I prefer the ones with a rubber brush roll instead of bristles for 2 reasons. 1) the rubber one is removeable. It pops right out so you only have a brush roll in your hand to clean instead of an upside-down wiggly vacuum you're trying to balance over the trash can while cleaning out the hair. 2) It's so easy to cut the hair off the rubber brush roll as opposed to cutting and pulling hair out of bristles. I think I shed as much hair as my dog, so my long hair is yucky to have to remove from the bristles. Unfortunately, you don't make the one with the removable rubber brush roll. I was priced out by Bissell and had to buy another Dirt Devil. On the very bright side, I think the Dirt Devil far exceeds the Bissell Bolt in suction! I would like to suggest that you make your brush roll removable for cleaning. Even though I prefer the rubber pick up tool, others may prefer bristles. More helpful would be selling a dirt cup replacement for distracted users as myself! I'm sure due to the plastic construction that others may appreciate this, too! My last negative is that the hand vac option is useless because it needs an attachment to make the pickup area smaller. It's too wide to be effective. My final positive is the charger, which stores neatly inside as part of the vacuum, makes it completely cordless! I love that feature! That and the good suction power make this a good purchase. I just wish you would implement the above negatives and you would surpass Bissell! Your price point is why I bought another. I honestly was not happy about it when all I needed was a part.love dogs, hate hair!
