20 Best Styling Cream For Fine Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

I really like this as a light hold product. I have quite fine medium length wavy hair and this really works for me. I struggle to use traditional men’s styling products (i.e. clay, wax, pomade) as they just clump my hair or make it feel horrible. I’m more of a “natural look” kind of guy and this really gives my hair shape and definition without looking or feeling like there’s anything in itryan.b

Light- medium hold.holds hair in place quite well for hairstyles such as side parts/combed over , messy styles, and very likely longer groomed looks. Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shaping Cream is one of the best hair grooming products around. I have been using this for the last 5 years, and it keeps my hair looking great even at the end of the work day. I keep my hair short for easy manageability. The product smells nice (although I couldn't detect the tea tree scent) every time I open it, and shapes my hair to the desired style easily. I find that it works better on dry hair than damp. I also like the fact my hair looks matte and natural hours after, even on warm and humid days. Just a little product is required for every application which means one can lasts at least three months for me. It's also easy to wash out with a deep cleansing shampoo. bought this product because i couldn’t decide between this or the mending infusion. i am a man with short hair and using this definitely styles my hair, but it almost feels like a hair gel rather than a cream. it leaves my hair just a little bit stiff and a tad oily. considering getting the mending infusion but if you don’t mind slightly oily hair this does the trick. side note it smells great. i feel like moroccanoil changed their formula and nothing smells the same anymore, but this has the moroccanoil signature scent.aydenb723

I have had some pretty serious issues over the past few years… after having lost about 60% of my hair due to some health issues… and I have to say that this Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream is AMAZING!!! I went from having VERY healthy, thick and shiny hair to VERY dry and fragile hair, almost over night, a few years back. My hair used to take DAYS to fully dry, when I would clip it up in a twist to dry naturally. Unfortunately, in the past couple of years, the bottom has literally been TOTALLY DRY, upon taking it out from my hair drying turban, only about 15 minutes after washing it… 🙁 The first time that I washed my hair again after having used a tiny bit of this product in my hair 3 days prior, when I took my hair out from my hair drying turban, it was actually STILL WET!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!! My hair is soft and pretty shiny again! 🙂 If this could do this for my hair in this condition, I can't imagine how WONDERFUL it would be for those of you with healthy hair! I really really REALLY wanted to love this. Trust me, I even tried it on dry and wet at multiple times throughout the week and let me just say, disappointed in an understatement. To give you better perspective, I have wavy straight hair and I twirl my hair around my finger and usually creates these beautiful waves as my Hair dries. I was searching for the best hydrating styling cream snd decided to give this one s try because I love their hair oil but oh boy big mistake. It smelled NOTHING like their other products. It smells like chemicals and the moment I apply it to myself hair (wet or dry) it gets SO STICKY & STIFF. Once it dries it make your hair so puffy and it worsens when you brush it. Not sure if this is meant for curly hair folks? But it’s s big no for me. Disappointed but it is what it is. Thank god I bought the mini version. This is my first foray into pomades, and I was braced for something between a hair oil and the crunchy gels of the 80s. I was pleasantly surprised to find Cremo delivered something far better. This pomade is a solid hold, especially when worked through do hair, and it holds for 24 hours, if not longer. I've been able to mist water on my hair and comb it back into place after sleeping for a second day's hold. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is great — nothing to compete with my aftershave and cologne. I have 3a/b curly hair, ringlets with big volume and I thought I'd never be able to wear my hair straight without using a straightener religiously. And with this product alone, I can wear my hair slicked back and mostly straight in a Peaky Blinders cut. That's the kind of hold Cremo delivers, and I'm a convert for life. Last year, my wife tried to get me my old styling cream, which is something I usually do myself at the salon after a cut, and couldn't find it. I was very thankful for the gesture, but a little skeptical of this product she came home with (Cremo styling – high hold, low shine). After I tried it, though, I was blown away! I recently received this Cremo Thickening Styling Paste #freeproduct from #trywithtopbox to try in exchange for an honest review. This is the first time my fiancé is trying a styling paste, he usually uses hair glue for his hair. He found that the product was easy to use and work into his hair. The texture of the paste is really soft and not at all sticky or tacky. It however does not have as much hold as his usual hair glue. He actually has pretty thick hair to begin with so he couldn't tell if there was a thickening effect. However, he said he really loved the scent of product. Most hair styling products he has tried usually smells waxy or has a overwhelming perfumy scent. This one smells like an old fashioned barber shop. I am about 1 year into my CGM journey, and at this point – I rarely find products that work as well as my hair's natural oils. Even though I try to avoid shampoo, when I do use it (before hot tools or after about 3-4 weeks of conditioner rinses) I need to add a bit of moisture to make up for what I've rid my curls of. I tried this product after a wash day. It is one of the only products I've tried recently that actually feels natural in my hair. It helps to define curls and rid frizz. It dries with a light cast, but just enough for my hair to clump not enough to leave a waxy/dry texture like other competing products. I rarely feel comfortable using only one product. It's either a natural look sans products, or a mix of products (leave-in, oil, cream, maybe gel and spray etc., Depending on the style). This product is a mix of both worlds; leaves my hair natural looking without being too fluffy, yet offers enough moisture and oil for clumping without being heavy. Love the shine it adds. Ouai Curl Crème saves time for me since it's a cream + oil + hydrator + styling product. Great for traveling with. Easy to refresh dry hair with or style wet hair with. The scent is so luxuriously floral yet sweet, the packaging looks elegantly simple, and the bit about the "ex" on the packaging gave me a good chuckle. Ouai Curl Crème has my curls screaming, "oui, oui!" I have natural roots, ends relaxed and dyed (damaged), mix of curl textures (2b-3c), long length. This product is clearly a creme that is not shy to define, and give your hair a subtle yet noticeable shine. IMMEDIATELY after drenching my hair in water, and applying the product, I barely had to touch my hair, and the definition was VERY apparent. Y'all, when I say, I was shook… I have never in all of my 21 years of life had a product instantly define my hair upon application. I barely had to finger comb. It for sure provides a nice element of moisture as well, and I find that the more I've used it these past couple of weeks, the softer my hair is getting. I'm not 100% sure if it's this product, or some of the other products that I've been using in my hair for the time being, but I do know that this is clearly the moisture and defining agent in the squad of hair products I've been using. This product has chia & linseed oil, babassu oil, and coconut oil in it, which are clearly carrying the product and running so that it doesn't even have to jog on it's own. Babassu oil is known as an oil that promotes high moisture retention, which seals the moisture into your hair shaft (ideal for high porosity hair types), and you know lack of moisture retaining products in your haircare routine is one of the #1 causes for breakage. Chia seeds are rich in fatty acids which work to not only penetrate your hair shaft (great for low porosity hair types), but seal in the moisture as well. Linseed oil is the same as flaxseed oil, which is high in vitamin E, and not only treats hair loss, but promotes growth. For my dry scalp peeps, flaxseed oil also can be used to prevent dandruff, and can provide relief. If you have damaged hair, or chemically processed hair, this is very ideal, since it has great moisture retaining properties, and it seals damaged cuticles. I have pretty curly hair but it's very fine and I was worried this cream would be too heavy but that is not the case at all! I use this on my hair while it's wet by section with a denman brush and my curls look incredible. if you diffuse, it creates a great mask for the curls that you can brush out after. my curls seriously last 3 days through workouts, sleep (I plop/pineapple my hair without a bonnet and they stay!) DC humidity, all of it. I use it with the OUAI medium shampoo and conditoner, and it's smells great! not perfumy or overwhelming. cannot recommend this more! in my pictures the one in the green shirt is day 3 curls, the other one is day one.larklewis

I’ve used this for over a decade. I put a quarter size dollop on wet hair near the roots and work at through. Blow dry and style as usual. Never go a day without this stuff! It adds volume and texture to my thin hair. If you wanna start with bumble please start with this product. Anyone can use it and it does not leave hair greasy or weighted down.rose.m

I really liked this product for curling. I have very thick long hair. Out of the shower I put a bit of Moroccan oil then this product. I do my hair in sections coming the product through w/a Denman brush then scrunching with a microfiber towel. This gave me beautiful curls and this one product worked as a cream/gel together. I don’t like that feel of product in my hair. This worked so well and smells great! I wouldn’t use this for blow drying my hair though, would definitely make my hair feel too heavy.deanna0326

Oh my god, where has this been all my life? I've tried both of the Don't Blow it stylers, the Surf leave-in, Texture, and I regularly use the Grooming Creme (because its so moisturizing and it does add softness). I have normal/fine hair but lots of it, it looks somewhat wavy when it's wet but its more of an "S" wave (one long "S" no matter the length of my hair) but the "S" falls out a bit. THIS STUFF HOLDS IT. But gently! I used about a cashew sized amount all over, root to tip, and the grooming creme on the ends and at the temples. My hair air dried perfectly. When I pull it up there's not a hint of frizz around the face. I hope you guys never stop making this, it's the jam!!!Careless

It took me a while to really figure out how to use this product – so I highly suggest experimenting as it says in the description. At first, I was using way too little product. Now, I'll use a quarter-sized blob or even more. I was pretty confused by this stuff, so I've included a detailed description of how I use it 🙂 My favorite way to use this product is on hair that's been dried about 70%. I smooth this through from mid-shaft to ends, then twist into 4 little buns, and let dry for 45 minutes on my drive to work. When I take my hair down, I have beautiful waves that stay all day. They aren't weighed down or greasy at all, but they do have great separation and texture – not too gritty, but not too poofy as my hair tends to get after a wash. My hair dries pretty straight on it's own, but using this on almost-dry hair and smoothing it straight makes it dry even nicer. On second day hair, I'll smooth this through and reshape any curls that are left, or use to style into a half-updo, smoothing any unruly pieces. Somehow just smoothing this through hair makes it look great. It really is effortless! Day 3, I always wear a bun. I've had trouble in the past with the hair at my crown being too stiff and flat. Putting some of this on my hands before I gather my hair up onto my head smooths the flyaways, but also gives body and great texture. This product has totally changed my bun game!heyitskath

I have used this product several times throughout the years for my very thick, curly hair. It works better than most curl creams. No matter how many products I try for curly hair, this product is one of the few that I always go back to. Love this stuff! I use a pretty decent amount and surprisingly it really just makes my hair soft, smooth, and it also helps with static without weighing it down at all. I like that it adds some slight separation; I flip my hair back from my face instead of parting it and I need a little bit of hold/separation to keep it from just falling forward into my face during the day. Where this stuff excels for me is that I really like to only blow dry my hair at the temples with a round brush (the hair is shorter there so it gets really wavy where the rest of my hair really doesn't.) I can let the rest of my hair air dry and it still looks polished. I've used other smoothing lotions/leave in conditioners this way, but I find that without the heat a lot of these lotions don't really do much to add sheen/separation/de-frizzing to the air dried areas. I would say this does a great job smoothing hair when you blow dry with a round brush but it won't keep it poker straight (BB repair blow dry is great for that). Personally I like that it looks more natural and less perfect after smoothing it out with the round brush/blow dryer. This stuff is versatile!iamsosad

Im struggling with frizzy hair for some time and on top of that my hairs are fine. I have try all different products (even from Colour Wow) and this is first product I notice doing anything to my frizz till I decided to try travel version of this. I use it after every wash, and my hair look better straight away. I have medium thickness, relatively straight, but pretty darn frizzy and wild hair. My hair gets oily pretty quickly, so I tend to avoid post-shower products because they tend to make the oils worse. I received this gifted by Color Wow and I am pretty happy with it! It's not totally transformative or anything, but it definitely does help control my frizz quite noticeably and makes my hair much more manipulatable and easier to manage, without any crunchy or strange residue (unless you put too much, but its pretty easy to brush out even if you do). I was really pleasantly surprised by this product! My hair is VERYYYYY frizzy. It’s naturally very wavy, but the days that I blow dry it straight even it gets frizzy pretty quick. I found myself reaching for this a lot, both with and without the blow dryer. At first it almost makes your hair look a little bit greasy, so you don’t want to add too much too soon. Start small and build it up. Either way I found it soaks into your scalp in no time, but if it still looks a little oily I used the blow dryer which helped! There is a pleasant and slight scent, nothing irritating. I really like how it didn’t weigh my hair down, it just tamed those flyaways and the frizz! I received the Living Proof full thickening mousse free for review from PINCHme and I've honestly really enjoyed this product. This mousse is said to boost volume while holding your style and I would definitely agree with that claim. Its lightweight and smells quite nice. It's not a super airy mousse but it's not super dense either. It doesn't evaporate right away but it's not heavy or sticky at all. I have pretty long hair so instead of the standard egg size I typically use maybe two egg size dallops. It has been way too hot and humid here lately to do much with my hair, and while the directions say to blow-dry, I just can't. I apply it to my damp hair right after my shower and then I tie it up in a bun. When it's fully dry and I let it down, it's so full of volume and the texture is lovely. The waves are beautiful and they do hold all day. Many products of this type cause my hair to get frizzy and almost static like but this one doesn't do that. I get no flyaways or frizz with this mousse and my hair smells so great. It's a nice, light clean smell, very subtle. I've really enjoyed using this product and I would definitely recommend it. Oh, and I like the packaging as well. The button you press to dispense the mousse is a nice solid button. For those of us that have hands and fingers that might not work so well, I had no issues.ARain

For Baby Fine Hair People: This works! It's the only product I've found that actually makes my genuinely baby fine hair look thicker and appear to have some body. The effect lasts all day and onto the next if you decide not to wash your hair every day. I use it sparingly and blow dry carefully though, because it does make your hair a little stickier before it's dried. That can cause baby fine hair to break when combing. So use it, be very gentle when combing or brushing, and enjoy. This product works better for my baby fine hair than the Living Proof Full Thickening Cream. I found that product to be too greasy and it weighs my baby fines down. I wrote a long review about the LP Thickening Cream and dealing with baby fine hair in case that's helpful to anyone. My one complaint about LP products, or any in general, is fragrance. I'm picky about scents and would never wear this scent as a perfume, so why would I want it anywhere on my body? I wish all these products had a fragrance-free version.asnetall

On Baby Fine Hair and this product: I have real baby fine hair. Lots of people talk about having baby fine hair, but really don't. It's a mixed blessing. Straight baby fine hair is so smooth that clips, bands, etc. can slide out of it unless there's silicone on the inside of a clip to grip the hair. If your baby fine hair is light in color, it may be almost see-through when backlit. This is not great if you want to feel like you have a nice full head of hair. If you take a strand of baby fine hair and hold it parallel to the floor, the strand itself is such a small diameter that it forms almost a sharp 90-degree angle hanging straight down from the edge of your fingers; no curve of any sort as it hangs down. It's hard for straight baby fine hair to hold a curl unless you do harsh stuff to make it hold. That, in turn, damages your hair. Almost any processing damages baby fine hair. It's also very easy to break strands of baby fine hair so you have to comb or brush carefully. Baby fine hair will blow everywhere if there's the slightest breeze. In my case, that means I've always got messy hair. Light baby fine hair is a pain if it gets blown onto your face or into your eyelashes. You can feel it's there, but it's hard to see the individual delicate strands and hard to detect them with your fingers. That's the scoop on baby fines. You live with it and figure out how to deal with it. BUT, straight baby fine hair can be so shiny and smooth that it can look and feel as luxurious as silk when it's in good condition. Like babies' hair! This can be lovely if your hair is thick enough. I've tried this product as directed with bad results. The product is too oily or thick even when put on extremely sparingly, so it weighs my hair down, making it look unwashed and stringy. So, I decided to try to use it as a rinse after shampooing, and have had better luck. I distribute it throughout the hair from roots to tips and then rinse it out. Baby fine hair people will feel a kind of stickiness or roughness once it is rinsed out, and will have to comb their hair carefully so as not to break it, but it adds product in just the right amount for real baby fine hair to have some bounce and look thicker without weighing it down or making it look greasy. It's not going to be a dramatic difference though. I have had far better luck with the Living Proof Thickening Mousse. After trying what feels like hundreds of conditioners, mousses and creams that did nothing, LP Mousse has been my go-to product. It's the only product I've found that makes my hair look thicker and that lasts all day looking great. It makes me feel almost like I have normal-people-hair! But I take breaks. I found that blow-drying damages my hair too easily, and the mousse, although super effective at making my hair look thicker and giving it more body, makes my hair sticky enough that I break hair easily, even when combing gently. So, Baby Fine Sisters take note. You have to handle your hair really gently with these products. Personally, I'd opt for the LP mousse over the cream, and be gentle with my hair. This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet. There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair. It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. Just for reference, this was purchased for and used on biracial, relatively thick, spiral curly hair. This is a very lightweight, non greasy product with relatively good slip. It ends there. If this was the only product you wanted to use. No gel, no mouse, no oils, no creams, no leave in, no frizz control, I mean zero other products, then this might work for you. It immediately interacts with other products by leaving white clumps all over your hair. It doesn't matter if you use less/more of it or if you use less/more of the other, it is a disaster. I've tried this with SEVERAL other products from different lines and it always ends with the same result. It doesn't absorb later and disappear, instead the clumps turn into white flakes. Thousands of small white flakes. Like you've had glitter distributed through your hair. Water doesn't rid it. You must completely shampoo out the product.Donna L

An amazing product for my dry, frizzy hair! This smells like warm, smooth coconut 🥥! Compared to alternatives, this has a VERY strong scent, so be cautious if you're sensitive to fragrances! I would improve this product by offering this is a lighter lotion for those with thinner hair not to overdo it, however you can use less product and avoid applying to your scalp to avoid weighing your hair down. I bought this product not knowing my hair type which is my bad. So if you have low porosity hair like me, this product might not be the best for you. I used this weekly and found that my hair felt extra greasy and had a lot of build up. The butters caused weighed down my curls and they still had a lot of frizz. It does smell good and I bet would be great for high porosity hair. But if you have low porosity hair, it's probably better to just avoid this product.Kenna

I use this on days I plan on using a flat iron. I use a dime size amount and work it through my hair before blow drying with my round brush. It really helps tame my frizz and keep my hair manageable. My scalp tends to get oily quickly and sometimes products like this make it worse. However, I haven't noticed that when using this. Love this! Bought a 2nd tube to have on hand if they ever discontinue it. I have fine textured, semi-curly bleached hair, but a lot of it. It took me years to find this product and it is the best for my hair which is coarse and curly and reacts badly to changes in weather (especially when it's humid or rainy!). I really like this shaping cream! It’s supposed to be medium hold, but it held up for me through the day. I live in a very dry climate, and it did great. Added a little volume, not much, but I wasn’t necessarily looking for volume. Brought out my natural texture, and definitely helps smooth frizz! The squeeze tube is a nice change. It makes it a bit easier to use, especially if I have to go back and use more I can just squeeze the right amount. No mess, less waste. The simple label is it for me straight to the point and let's you know what its made of. This shaping cream has a professional salon type of product smell to it. Which i love because it gives me a feel of having the right product for my hair. The consistency is pretty thick so you won't have to use a lot on my hair. It absorbs pretty well to my hair. When it dries down after applied to my damp hair, my curse are more defined! Not hard or crunchy! But a bit of shine. But there's other products from their brand for that 😉 my hair is short natural and curly and this works good for me. I can't imagine what this can do for different hair types.. overall I liked this cream and can't imagine what the other product can do for me.ashiah.w

This product is supposed to strengthen and repair damage. It also protects against heat styling products (up to 450 degrees). I like using this as a styling tool. When you are trying to do a smooth hairstyle such as a ballerina bun, you know how difficult the little flyaways can be. This style cream smooths hair and reduces the frizz and flyaways. It makes my overall hair look healthier and sleeker. My only disappointment is the packaging. I couldn’t open the plastic delivery bag so I cut the bag open. Unfortunately, when I did this, I also cut across the bottom of the tube. The tube needs to be made of stronger material so that you don’t accidentally cut it.SunshineFragran

I love Bumble and Bumble products and it’s been a bit since I used them. I have fine and super thin hair that is also oily with the scalp and ends. I just chopped my hair from past my shoulders to 1-2” past my ears. I still can style and blow dry my hair and always have some frizziness and flyaways! I have been using this balm and it smells so luxe and looks thick but it’s not that thick. It’s also a really nice one to calm the frizzy hair and flyaways. It doesn’t get rid of them completely but definitely is not as crazy! It is not oily or greasy to the hair either and leaves your locks looking like you left the salon! I had great results after trying the Bb. Bond-Building Repair Styling Cream. My hair is very frizzy and dry so I'm always looking to try products that will help repair it and this one worked well. My hair felt soft and the frizz was calmed down! It has a really nice scent, which I loved. The texture is creamy so it's easy to apply it to my hair. I also noticed that it has micro-speckles of sparkle in it which I could see in my hands after I applied the cream. I really like that I can just apply it to my hair and let it air dry, but my favorite way to use it is before I use my hair straightener! My hair looks beautiful and shiny!LaShenny21Nails

I've never had a product that does what this product does. I have long brittle balayaged hair and after using conditioner my hair used to feel weoged down and limp. Ever since I included this in my routine, that has changed. I section my hair into two and apply a pea sized amount in each section avoiding the scalp and comb/brush each section to make sure the product spreads evenly. This product also helps with detangling. Degangle with fingers before your comb if you have long hair like me. Whoever is confused about this product isn't using it right..you're either using too much or it's not spreading well in your hair. After application, my hair no longer feels limp. They just feel healthy. If you feel the need to add more shine after this you can use the number 7 olaplex oil, just a drop after this. This routine is everything. Use the amount of product as asked by professionals and you will not find it as pricey either.addie

I have been wearing extensions for some time and decided to up the game and treat my hair to Olaplex. Big big mistake! The product is way too rich for hair extensions and it has completely dried them out! I had a lovely 20 inch, double drawn balayage hair extensions fitted in April 2022 and bought this kit in May.l (then repurchased when I was out). By September I have left 18 inch and dry as the Sahara. If you have hair extension please stay away! I’m not even close to the 12 month mark with my extensions and I’ll need to get new ones because my hair looks terrible. All that money down the drain, no pun intended. In the past I used just a normal cheap ish shampoo recommended by my extensions girl and I still have the old extensions, that I took out just after the 12 month mark & they’re in perfect condition. The morale of my review: just because something is more expensive, hyped & advertised in fancy magazines, doesn’t mean it’s actually good for you.Yoanna

I received a sample of this and I am struggling. I have thick fine hair that is greying. I’m thankful that I received a sample and know that this product is not for me. I thought it could be good for styling my hair, no. The tiniest amount into damp hair abd my hair feels heavy and looks lank. I searched the product online and found the YouTube video from the brand. They recommended putting a small amount in your hair, twisting it and demonstrated theses lovely young girls with freshly washed long hair, applied the product to make hand crunched beach waves and only showed the initial application and implied that this would lion great when dried. There’s a reason for that. I tried their technique, freshly washed hair, towel dried to damp ready for styling just like the demo video. Rubbed a small amount of product in my hands, applied, twisted my hair just like the vide. Cute. Then it dried. To crispy feeling, lamb looking hair with extra frizz. It feels awful. I’ve used this product multiple times, I’ve tried following the brand recommendations and lank crispy frizzy heavy greasy hair is not a look I desire. I have gotten this as a sample twice in my life and both times I thought my hair always looked stunning when I used it — so I finally pulled the trigger and am very glad I did. My hair is naturally wavy with a tendency to frizz in humidity. My hair will get poufy without product but too much will weigh it down and look greasy. You only need a TINY drop of this (like pea-sized) for medium length hair and it just works. Worth the splurge if you tend towards drugstore hair products because it will last so long. It also smells incredible. I wish it were a pump and not a squeeze top because it’s easy to get too much product but it’s truly better than any other similar product (tried leave ins from Ouai, OGX, IGK, Amika, and probably others and this one still wins)rutherfoodie

I was looking for something that would protect the dry, splitting ends of my hair until I can get a haircut. My hair is very fine, very straight, not color treated, and prone to oiliness. I've never been able to get much volume or fullness out of my hair, no matter what product or styling method I use. But this seems to help somewhat. I apply it to the bottom half of my hair while damp, comb it through to distribute it, and then blow dry it. The few times I haven't dried it after applying this stuff, it left my hair sticky and sort of crunchy, so if your hair is like mine, it's not going to work as an air styler. It does give my hair a little bit of grip and texture, and my hair doesn't seem to get oily quite as quickly when I use this, so I can usually go 3 days between washes instead of just 2. Only downside is that it might be irritating the skin on my neck and behind my ears; I get painful cyst-like almost-pimples that never quite come to a head but stick around for days at a time. This might be partially due to how hot my room is at work, but it's definitely worse when I use this on my hair. I'm going to try washing my neck and behind my ears after styling my hair to see if that helps, because I really do like this product for my hair. My skin is particularly sensitive, so this probably isn't a problem for most people.ACB

What I appreciate about JVN is the way he encourages everyone to embrace what they've got going for them, even if they want to change it up to feel our best. My hair texture is long and what can only be described as ultra-frizzy. It likes to loop and curl back on itself in one giant mass; there are, like, right angles in my hair. This is especially trying as an Asian woman, where there is literally no representation of my hair type in our cultural beauty standard, though I'm certainly not the only Asian woman with this hair. The ideal is always straight, glossy, shiny hair, maybe sometimes permed wavy hair, but never this huge, heavy behemoth I've never made peace with in my 30+ years. If I'm straighten my hair, it takes at least an hour. It's at least 15 minutes to blow dry my hair, and it still is usually in a rather uncontrollable state/frizzier than ever afterwards. Pretty much the only times my hair looks the way I want is fresh out of the salon, after 1-2 hours of a professional wrestling with it. And even then, it's always been straightened, not really an enhancement of my natural curls. I was intrigued by this air dry cream after really liking the shine drops and reading how it has helped others who seem to have similar relationships to their hair as me. Could this finally help me feel good being myself? It has not disappointed. My hair has never been this soft and shiny without any heat styling. Being able to apply this cream and let my hair dry is an absolute dream. I do still need to use quite a bit and brush it through regularly as its drying, and I also still need to pair it with a serum. But at least I don't need my hair dryer. I'm also not a huge fan of the tangerine smell since I have a sensitivity to citrus scent, but it doesn't really stick around. Additionally, I've noticed that I can go longer between washes. I was introduced to this brand through the influenster program, they sent this to me to try for free in exchange for an authentic review. I am a hairstylist who uses a lot of great products everyday and I love to air dry my own hair cause it’s super wavy and dries nicely with the right kind of air dry product or texture spray. I had no expectations because I had never heard anything about the brand, the packaging is really modern and nice and the air dry cream is packaged in a similar way to a tube of hair color just much bigger, It’s a good size tube of product and you truly don’t need a lot of product at all it’s concentrated. I am a tough critic and I don’t judge lightly when it comes to hair products, and instantly I could tell this was a great product that was well formulated and had an intentional styling purpose, from this day forward this is my holy grail product for my hair, it did everything I wanted it to do and more. I have coarse hair, very dry looking when I blow dry, my mother says it looks like hay which I get offended about but it truly does, it’s just super thick and coarse and has always felt dehydrated. Typically when I air dry I do my hair soaking wet, and apply a ton of different products for different reasons, one to hydrate, one to defrizz, one for control and one for enhancing my wave pattern. This product is genius, I don’t know if any other product I have ever tried on myself that has suited my hair type so perfectly. My hair dried without frizz, and it gave me beautiful texture and perfectly beachy waves without feeling like I had anything in my hair at all. it left my hair feeling soft and hydrated and also with a great style and volume at the roots. I’m so impressed and I’m so intrigued to learn about the rest of this line and use it on my clients. This is the best for hair like mine, I love it. I have had thick, dry, curly hair for so long. I can’t count on two hands how many different products, shampoos, conditioners, etc. etc. that I have tried over the years. None of them ever seemed to successfully hydrate my hair and give me the ability to style it. Beyond that, I found that most products would make my hair extremely weighed down, which is a problem since my hair is already extremely thick and dense. On the FIRST DAY of trying the Air Dry Cream (paired with the Nurture shampoo and conditioner) one of my best friends asked me if I had product in my hair because it looked “really good!” I always have product in my hair, so it’s funny that she asked me this question specifically on the day that I started using the Air Dry Cream. Then, another one of my friends saw me 30 minutes later and asked if I had done something different with my hair and complimented how it looked. I never get compliments on my hair, so I thought this was so strange. THEN, we went to dinner and a random person complimented my hair again! 3 compliments on my very first day of using the Air Dry Cream! This product does a fantastic job of hydrating my curls and keeping them frizz-free all day, which is no easy feat to accomplish. I absolutely love this product, although I've recently had problems sourcing it. My hair is quite thick but quite fine and because I prefer it to dry naturally my hair can iften look like I just pulled up on my broomstick! With this lovely product my hair will fall easily into natural curls as it drys. It also adds a lovely scent and shine to my hair. This butter creme smells amazing like the other products in this line. It is of a thick consistency but unfortunately, when I applied it to my locs it kind of just sat on top of them as opposed to being absorbed into my hair. So for that reason, I probably wouldn't purchase this product again because I have other products that are intended to do the same thing but are actually absorbed into my hair Hydrating Butter-Crème:Since a wash-n-go is my go-to style, I decided to use the butter-crème as my styler in the same manner as I use other stylers for my weekly wash-n-go’s. It provided me with great day-one hair, however, it did not hold my curl pattern or lock in moisture. I was completely unimpressed with my day-two hair. Bottom Line:I will not be purchasing products from the Patene Gold Series. I really wanted to love this product, but for me, it fell short on too many notes. My hair was left dry and brittle, and I ended up having to give my hair a DYI deep condition treatment mid-week. Pantene’s Gold Series did not compare to the moisture and style longevity I received from other products in the same price range (even if they also contained sulfates!). I've even gotten better results from other Pantene product lines. My true test was going to Hawaii for a week where I was in the ocean, surfing, out in the sun, washing my hair almost every day- all of which can be really drying. In my opinion, Pantene has been a horrible excuse for an industry-standard brand. Their basic old-school formulas leave film on your hair and simply don't work. However, the Pantene Gold Series, sulfate free, is quite possibly the best line of products on the market for hydration, shine, and restoration of hair. The detangling milk is the best anti-frizz detangler shine-inducing product on the market. I am so impressed with Pantene Gold Series that I will clear any store out of the kits and give them as gifts. I am often met with women and men who have had the same amazing results. Use any one of the Pantene Gold Series Products and in some way, you will have restored your hair. Grab it when you can or it will be gone the next day.Tones Brassiness Down
